The night was colder than usual, the dense fog rolling in from the forest making it difficult for Olivia to see much beyond the dim streetlights. She’d always heard stories about the woods, whispers of creatures that only came out after dark. But tonight, after her car broke down on the empty road, she had no choice but to walk through it. The snapping of a twig caught her attention, her heart racing as she looked around nervously.

People shopping was always a chore but a necessary one for most vampires, Compulsion would make blood access easy and fresh and depending on the human maybe a decent place to stay.
