bat realised as soon as the door closed behind them that the hunter's moon was a bad idea. it had advantages, obviously -- there was no need to hide anything supernatural here -- but it also meant that they would get a total of no privacy. already, curious looks were aimed at them from every corner.

The grey eyed girl sat by the fire, legs crossed as she held a book on her lap, her eyes scanning the pages. She was absorbed in the book, like she always was when she had a book in her hands. Some things never changed.

She didn’t hear the door open, or close behind who ever entered. She never heard the footsteps on the wooden floor as they made their way towards her. It didn’t help, that the person who was approaching her had cat like reflexes.

She was only brought back to reality, when a shadowy figure loomed over her. But she wasn’t afraid. She smiled and lift her head, looking at the tall slender male.

“Hello.” She breathed, closing the book and standing up.
