I present my gift for the wonderful @spacedpanini. I love love love a 'family outing' prompt. Thanks so much @emis-equivalent-exchange for putting this together! So excited to take part this year.

Another reason to question the people, who want above ALL else for you to have kids.

They will rarely tell a story, that's goal is to give you baby fever. Or point out what a blessing children are, or how funny kids can be. That involves a teenager.

99.9% of the time, they will tell you a story about a; baby, Most common. Babies do a million cute things a day, and are easy to sell to people who are on the fence. A toddler, who will misspeak often and hilariously, and love on there parents endlessly. A middle schooler, who's experiencing first crushes and underwhelming school achievements, who wants to grow up just like there parents. And pre-teens, who are still good kids, excelling in school and starting to date.

1% of the time, will they tell you a story about a teenager. Why? Because there teens suck.

Case in point; my older sister is constantly on my ass about getting pregnant and having a baby. Always tells me how amazing babies are, and how great motherhood is. She tells me stories about her toddler son holding there fat cat and wobbling around the house cutely. About her baby son babbling "mommy" for the first time. About her middle schooler son winning the spelling bee, and saying he wanted to work the same job as his hero daddy. The catch?

Her son is 16. Currently. He is 16 right now. And she, since he was 14, has not told me a single story about him, with the goal to convince me to have a baby, about him in the current area. Why? Because in this year alone he's been suspended from school for trading drugs with another suspended student, caught making out with one of his many "girlfriends" in the bathroom during PE, told a teacher to "kill himself", and tried to light the bleachers on fire during a game but wasn't successful.

Her son is a dumpster fire of a human. He is nothing to brag about or be proud of. (Obviously some of this is his parents fault for how they raised him and shit, nature and nurture blah blah blah) And since he was 14, and started acting like this, she hasn't told a single "cute" story about him. All her stores are from 13 years old and down.

And most other people on the internet and real life, are the same. There teens are / were dumpster fire people. They conveniently gloss over there failure as humans teens and instead brag about what cute middle schoolers there kids were.

Another case in point, I had a coworker trying to push me to have a baby. And she'd always show me pictures and talk about her youngest child (about 3) and gush about how cute the baby was and all the cute and heartwarming things she did!

She got cold as fuck whenever I brought up her two teenager daughters, both who got kicked out of school for bullying and trying to stab another girl. Suddenly she would have nothing to say. Or would switch up and start talking about how parenting is so hard. Right after gushing about how parenting was so easy and rewarding.

A sadder, story of this too was the local nurse at the clinic. Who would always talk about how everyone should become a parent, how it was amazing and most fulfilling thing you could do! How not having a child was selfish and bad. How you'd never be happy without a baby. And about ever two years she's be pregnant again. Of course, the thing she never talked about? Her teenager, who committed suicide after being assaulted by a school teacher. After she refused to believe them, after she refused to take them to therapy and pulled them out of school so they couldn't talk to the school council. Refused them mental health medication... They committed suicide in there bedroom. And she never breathed a word about that child ever again. She took down every family picture with them in it, she never visited the grave, she held a funeral for about 5 people and all 5 said she didn't cry or seem upset at all. And even now, her three kids who are teens and pre-teens, are acting out violently. And she laughs and changes the subject when people bring it up. Instead choosing to exclusively talk about her youngest children who are all darling little angels. And about her baby fever to have a other precious baby.

People want you to have a baby, because once you have a baby, you are stuck with a teen. You are trapped with someone who will grow out of being a cute lovable baby, and will become an independent human being, who can very easily become an asshole.

Also watch, how the people with the most dumpster fire teens, are pushing the hardest for you to have a baby. How the people who are cut off from there adult children are the most aggressive about your choices about babies. Why? Because they want you to be trapped. Because it makes them feel better about raising fuck ups. It makes them feel better about fucking up. And it normalizes how fucked up there parenting is. It obsolves them from blame. Once you have a trash fire teenager too, they'll point the finger at you and laugh, "oh, it isn't so easy now is it!" It's about getting even with people who called them bad parents. It's about making everyone feel sympathy for them, by forcing you to become a bad parent just like them.

Trapping you with an asshole, that you will be, legally, trapped with forever.

Madge should have lived so that she and Gale could have had the best background haters to reluctant acquaintances to besties in denial to lovers relationship.

Then Katniss gets to have two people to talk to about her Peeta problems and when she's like "IDK if I love him 😕" and Madge just smiles cause yes, you do, but imma let you figure it out on your own time. And Gale just rolls his eyes and walks away cause ffs Katniss, you idiot, go get your husband.

And then Katniss, instead of having to deal with Gale's bullshit in MJ, she gets the pleasure of watching her besties fall in love with each other in real time and she's trying - horribly - to give them relationship advice. Also that one part where Gale's like "I think Finnick likes you" it's out of genuine concern and not jealousy and then Madge laughs her ass off cause "no he doesn't Gale, he misses his wife and she misses her husband and they're best friend bonding over shared trauma". After that, Gale's jealous of Finnick - not because he thinks he loves Katniss but because bro, that is MY bestie get your own.

Also, with platonic bestie everthorne, Prim's death is that much more heartbreaking. Now, instead of being someone that Katniss is mildly annoyed with consistently because she doesn't know if she loves him or Peeta, they're best friends. She tells him (and Madge) everything and she loves him (platonic). And then, she goes from having him as a constant to not being able to look him in the eye and being devastated knowing it wasn't really his fault but she can't seperate him from that event. They grow apart, and, by extension, so do her and Madge.

But because I like happy endings, Gale and Madge move to D2 and Gale tills part of their backyard so Madge can grow a garden and there's a whole section for strawberries. They get married and have a few kids and they're happy. And they make regular trips to 12 to visit Gale's family and also Haymitch (who has lowkey had a soft spot for Madge from afar her whole life because of her icon of an aunt).

It takes a few years, but Peeta and Madge meet each other at the bakery one day and spend a couple hours catching up. Peeta tells Katniss, who then (she denies it) comes with Peeta to the bakery "to help" (to maybe catch Madge). Madge comes by and they reunite and Madge speaks on Gale's behalf about how awful he feels, but she tells Katniss that she understands why she can't forgive him. They decide to remain friends.

The Hawthornes visit 12 a few more times before Katniss decides she's ready to see Gale again. They meet up (with their spouses in tow so they don't have to be alone) and he apologizes and she maybe slowly starts to heal a little more. As a little more time passes, she forgives him for something that wasn't technically his fault and they all become best friends again just in time for Gale and Madge to be the first toast baby's honorary aunt and uncle.

They all stay besties till the very end and their kids are besties and Haymitch is Grandpa Haymitch to the Hawthorne and Toast babies and they all live happily ever after the end.

Short explanation: Yeah they are💃👍

Longer explanation: They’ve done a lot of bad things to each other throughout the years, and they’re still learning to forgive each other and move on, and by accident they began a family and this drastic turn of events forced them to co-exist in a non-violent environment again which made them realized how much they’ve missed each other, but just because they miss each other doesn’t mean they could just let their hurt go. Which is why they haven’t gotten “together” per say, because neither of these stubborn monkeys have begun to broach the topic of their past, and without fully acknowledging the past they can’t move forwards with their relationship past co-parenting.

Even so, they do love each other, they might have fallen out of love centuries ago, but the act of coexisting in the same place and raising kids together just had them falling right back in love, they just haven’t done anything with that realization.

i would like to talk about how scared johnny must've been when darry hit ponyboy

like he flinches so hard when darrel throws the papers at sodapop, to the point he fully turns around as if he's waiting to get hit. he's scared that either himself or sodapop will be hit. then he watches darry, his friend, protector, brother, maybe even the closest thing he has to a good father figure, hit his best friend who's also like a brother right in front of him.

all because pony came home late, and johnny can't help but think that darry hates him and it's all his fault. i'd also like to say that johnny was definitely thinking the entire time that he was next and gonna get it 10x worse. not to mention the fact that johnny's sitting there the entire time nervously as he watched darry just yell at his brothers and johnny can't do anything about it. and johnny hates ponyboy yelling at darry just as bad.

johnny is beaten by his dad a lot and when he sees darry hit ponyboy he is SO terrified for the both of them that he feels the need to get pony out of there immediately, even if darry hates him or will hurt him even more.

A moment of curiosity: Dottore. (male!reader) (also, not very serious of a fic.)

"So, you're basically saying that you killed a previous lover?" You ask him, furrowing your eyebrows. You weren't as scared as you were amazed. Intrigued, perhaps? I mean, not only did he manage to make a woman fall in love with him whlist his reputation was below the rocks— he also took her out on a date and killed her. And on top of that, he made it look like wild animals committed all those unspeakable crimes to her.

Dottore simply looks at you, his head cocked to the side, his lip curled as if he was two steps away from inviting you in his bed. "It is wonderful, is it not? I must admit, it was not one of my easiest feats back in the day, nor one of the most... rational ones, however, the reactions I recieved— nay, the situation received— were quite the satisfactory ones."

"So what you're telling me is that you were an impulsive, little attention seeker?"

"That's not quite what i–" Dottore stopped mid sentence, suddenly the correspondence of your words hitting him like a bunch of bricks that were caught up in a hurricane.

"This is not– there is no need to dwell on my past acts, my darling boy. They are not relevant to the current me in any shape, way, or form." He cleared his throat. "And she wasn't my lover, moreso just someone who happened to experience college crushes through my image."

With that, you sat on his lap, as you often did. "Would you have killed me, too, if I was in her place?" You were unserious in that matter, obviously, though Dottore seemed to take your question in the unintended sense.

"Entirely depends on how you'd have been in her place. If you were to simply act like her, with the only difference being your appearance; then I'm afraid the outcome would have been no different. However, if you were one who crushed on me in my days at the Akademiya, and you approached said crush as you did in our actual past, I'm certain that we'd have ended up in a similar position as we are now"

Perhaps you should have never asked. Unfortunately for you, and for any passing by his office, he would not stop yapping about the scientific possibilities of the scenario you suggested.

Guys i swear to god im not obsessed, i just dedicated a page of my sketchbook to him that's all. (Character by @asleepyy ofc<3)

Anyways this was very fun, i had this empty candy packaging that i was wanting to use on a piece for a while and Azazel's reflective glasses were just the perfect opportunity.

That big Azazel painted with markers was actually an accident, my intention was to use only the purple marker but it ran out in the middle of the drawing so i had to improvise. Im not rlly proud of how this part looks but at least the rest of the page is pretty enough.

(Also funny fact, ur seeing the screeching owl drawn on some sort of translucent paper? Well, its drawn on those wrapping papers that came with pads LMAOO)
