Bingqiu AU where Luo Binghe's the chosen village sacrifice to the evil deity who lives up the mountain.

Normally the village sends maidens, but they've more or less run out of expendable girls of the right age and, ahem, "virtues". So of course Luo Binghe's early life bad luck kicks in. In the wake of his mother's death there's no one to really care about what happens to him, he's fairly pretty, and the village leaders decide that if they dress him up like a girl the teenaged homeless kid should pass well enough. And hey, y'know, he's probably got a hard life ahead for him anyway -- dying in a brothel of some venereal disease or on the streets of exposure or starvation. At least as a sacrifice, everyone else gets to benefit from his loss! And the kid will get added to a shrine and be remembered as a hero! If anything, he should be happy about this!

Binghe is not happy about this.

But he's also a skinny underfed nobody who is easily overpowered, dressed up like a bride, and tied to a post. So. Not much he can do but wait for the evil deity to come and do whatever horrible thing he's gonna do to him.

Meanwhile, Shen Yuan is pretty sure he's been isekai'd into the over-powered hero of some kind of supernatural adventure story? He's not totally sure because he doesn't recognize the setting, but the signs are there. He's got a shrine-like base of operations (though it seems to have become corrupted/ruined, probably he has to restore it somehow), he has a very resilient and handsome new body with spiritual energy of some kind flowing through him, and a very clearly magical sword. Plus lots of neat starter powers! Though it feels like he has other abilities that have been blocked somehow? Probably he has to level up in order to access them.

When he treks out of his "base" and finds what seems to be a distressed maiden, he takes it for his beginner hero mission. The girl claims that she's been doomed to be sacrificed to an evil god. That sounds a little above Shen Yuan's pay grade for dealing with, so he unties her and decides that they had better just get out of the whole region altogether. He already packed up anything useful from his base, anticipating he might get caught up in an adventure once he left, so they follow the river away from the settlement until they reach another one.

While they travel, Luo Binghe tells Shen Yuan about the cursed deity, Shen Qingqiu, who was cast out of the heavens for slaughtering one of his brethren and has apparently being do-who-knows what to maidens from the local village in exchange for his "protection" ever since. Sounds like a real asshole! And also mid-level boss type bad guy at least. Shen Yuan hopes he doesn't have to fight him, but he probably will.

Thank goodness he found Binghe, though! Clearly the helpful little sister type! He's definitely going to require her assistance if he's going to figure out how to navigate this world and level up his skills enough to take on a god.

I drew Etho from an au I'm working on where all the lifers (and maybe empires and hermitcraft?) are trapped in an area where the air is toxic and turns you into a super powered mutant/hybrid (this has the side effect of making you go insane).

I only just conceptualized this au today, and originally just drew Etho because "haha, gas mask and blue cool" but from what I've thought of, I know that Etho is meant to be a fairly menacing and morally grey character in this. He's looking out for number one. So he ends up hoarding resources and kind of being a sort of like, wandering trader type guy? Like he trades a lot of medical stuff for like, food and weapons and things that could benefit him. About his design. So he's in the early stages of mutation. I'd say mutation efficiency varies from person to person. So I'd imagine Etho got a gas mask fairly early on, about a week or so, but the mutation grew very quickly on him. So while he still has his wits about him, he's definitely less compassionate and a bit more brutal than before. He doesn't take the mask off unless it's to eat and drink. He used to have black hair, there are some bits remaining. And obviously his ears have changed and he also has a tail. His skin is gradually paling and his veins, inside of mouth, and blood have turned blue. Any blue bits on him (eye, tail, claws) glow in the dark. The like, fog that's surrounding him is his manifestation of an ability. He can, control oxygen and heat levels with his breath? I guess? That's the best way to explain it. Like, his breath is super cold, so he can breath frost, and freeze things over to an extent with it. But it's also very oxygenated, so he could breathe underwater if he wanted to (this man is a CHAMPION at mouth-to-mouth resuscitation).

Graz'zt, The Prince of Pleasure, this is the demon lord of hedonism and debauchery! 9 ft (2.7 m) tall but can shapeshift endlessly into other humanoids as bonus action (so like, in a second while doing other things). Has mastery of mind control and invisibility, telepathy and telekenesis, knows all languages, and makes all flat surfaces near him so shiny they act like mirrors! He's also...not originally a demon. He's a devil. An archdevil who said screw the whole hellish regime, I'm just going to take the abyssal layers I conquered for myself!

Man's all about subtlety manipulation, indulging in endless luxury and pleasure, and loves turning purity perverse. As you might expect, he's basically the Abyss's lord of sexual delight, so like...yeah he's about as good as you'll find on that front, especially as a one-night stand. Absurd amount of lovers, including a TON of powerful pissed-off exes. Like the Queen of Succubi. And Tasha. Like Tasha's Cauldron Tasha, who is also Baba Yaga's daughter Iggwilv. But that's beside the point, I'm asking if you'd fuck the demonic king of fucking.

just had this thought of lily as a lit student volunteering at her local library and barty as this delinquent being assigned to do community service there. like she starts off with a bit of a ‘oh this poor criminal, i must save him’ mindset and then is constantly frustrated by barty as it’s clear that he just. doesn’t want to be saved. and he’ll deliberately mess up the book organisation systems and try to scam people by fining them when their books are nowhere near overdue so he can keep the money for himself. and lily is running around after him, huffing as she loudly puts the books back in their proper places, whacking him round the back of the head when she catches him trying to scam some old man. she’s screaming at him in the back room, leaning over him as he sits back unbothered on one of the chairs, shoving her finger in his face but he just grins and tries to bite it so she’s whacking him again and storming out bc he’s just SO infuriating. but then somehow he’s also going in depth with her about the motivations of iago in othello and whether the tragedy can be blamed entirely on him or if society itself plays a part in the plot’s development or animatedly discussing keats’ ode to a nightingale and the concept of negative capability and how it relates to the body. and she’s just completely fascinated by him, she wants to analyse him like one of the texts from her classes, she thinks she could write essay upon essay about his view of the world and the way his brain works and the tattoo she can always see just poking out of the top of his collar. and now she’s missing deadlines bc she wants to spend time w him, and laughing as he knocks over an entire bookshelf while trying to tell her about the book he’s just read, and really he doesn’t want to be saved but maybe he’s saving her instead…

the training montage in crossroads re-ignited a headcanon i had of geralt waking up and doing gymnastics, performing kickflips and mid-air spins around on a fencepost outside an hour before sunrise to ‘limber up,’ and bleary-eyed dandelion wrapping himself up in a blanket to be like "heyyy... what the hell are you doing 💖"

I'm of three minds re: Vesper Elaina de Rolo being described as having dark hair.

1: everyone forgot she canonically has white hair in the Tal'dorei Reborn campaign book. Which is funny to me because people were so snippy about her having white hair (because Percy's isn't genetic) and then the artist came out and said there was a reason for the white hair. So it just strikes me as very funny that after all that, Matt and the PCs don't remember that. But, if we're going for drama, it could be...

2: she's dyed her hair to fit in better with her siblings, who are brunettes or have black hair like their mom. Having white hair that matched her father was probably a point of pride when she was young, but then the other kids came along, Percy had a clear favorite in Gwen, something she might have liked once now felt like a thing that made her stand out and not fit in. There's been some very good posts on here about Vesper and her place as the eldest daughter, Vesper and her parents having closer connections to their other children, etc. So I could see it being done for less than happy reasons. Maybe she's waiting to see if her folks notice the changes. Who knows.

3: Or she could be having a very late stage teenage rebellion/very early midlife crisis (which isn't even midlife when she's a quarter elf) and dyed her hair in a pique of emotion. Yes I know she's about the same age as Beau, putting her in her early 30s so it does quite work. And what emotion would cause an extremely dramatic haircut and dye job? Who knows.

BUUUUT given that Pike and Scanlan's kids didn't even come up once, I think they just forgot xD
