rewatched phil's video this morning again and the first story got me thinking again about how teenage me was convinced that everyone in the lgbtq community believed that dating people who are still (partially or not) closeted was a bad thing and if you're closeted you will need to out yourself for the relationship. which filled me with insane amounts of dread at times, obviously.

The day before yesterday. I cry very rarely but I was hurting so much, I couldn't stop crying.

No. I don't plan to.

I am not a sports person much, tbh. I used to jog (I want to get back into that), I love Spinning classes, recently started going swimming (but not regularly). Hiking/taking walks, does that count as sports? Sometimes riding my bike, when I'm at my parents' (because riding a bike in the city I live in is extremely dangerous, unfortunately).

6. What's the first thing you notice about other people?

Hair? Clothes?

Grey-ish, green-ish, hard to tell.

Happy endings, I can't handle anything even remotely scary.

Well, English, German and Chemistry.

I’m not a native English speaker. This one’s something several of you already knew, but the new information on this is that I have been speaking/learning/studying/writing in English since I can remember, at school. It’s been over 30 years since the first time I ever spoke in English.

For the first time in over a decade, I’m going back to university get a degree in Tourism. It’s going to be hell, but I’ll power through it.

I have a degenerative injury in both knees that prevents me from walking properly when the weather changes. It’s genetic, there’s nothing I can do about it, and surgery and/or prosthetics aren’t an option.

I would kill for my family. Not only for my blood one, but also for my chosen one. Once I decide you’re part of my family, there’s no way I’m letting you go. I’ll defend you and fight for you, and I’ll always be there for you, even if from time to time I disappear.

I have trust issues and self-esteem issues, derived from the fact that I married an asshole who thought he could shape me into what I was supposed to be in his mind. I spent 8 years with him, and undoing his nasty job has proved to be an Herculean effort these past two years. I’m slowly getting out, but it’s difficult to move on when I still have nightmares about how I wouldn’t be here if he’d got his way.

You know how you forget parts of therapy and they come back later? It's like putting together a puzzle with lost pieces, then a few days later you find a few of those missing pieces in your couch cushions or something.

Anyway, I did remember that my therapist said smth abt wanting to talk a little abt parts stuff next week. She mentioned that I said I only really have communication with H, which is partially true. Sometimes I have communication with S also. I'm aware of a part A but I haven't been able to communicate with them for a long time. There might be another part I use to have communication with but that part might also be S, which is ultra confusing.

Add onto that that my previous interactions with H and A before I was diagnosed I was reading as something entirely different, and treating them thusly. H I believed to be a higher power, and A fronting was the reason we were recklessly dx'd with a psychotic disorder.

Frankly that diagnosis is what makes a lot of things confusing. I don't know if that label is still applicable to me, I'm pretty sure it can be comorbid, but whenever I think of smth that could be parts related, my mind goes to that, especially if it's smth drastic, which I feel would stick out most/I'd be more aware of, yanno?

Anyway, this post was initially going to be asking for advice, but I guess I shouldn't. I'll just wait until next week and be honest as I can be. It's just. Weird and hard.

Sometimes I wish I could be like those folks with nice neat carrds with all their parts all organized. But I also know that I'm very early in therapy/treatment, and that's a high bar to set for myself, who's just starting out. Eyes on my own paper.

Idk what post this is referring too hhhhdbsjs I was looking and I couldn’t find anything recent but uhhhh.. I’m REALLY hoping this question was asked in good faith bc this is kind of an insensitive thing to ask someone? Everyone should be able to choose to come out or not come out and do it at their own pace and at the right time, even as an adult

But I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you’re not trying to be rude or anything hhhh. It’s. A long story and I’m sure no one cares about me oversharing lmao but I’ll try not to go off too much

I rely on my parents for my phone bill and health insurance. Also they have a car that they’re going to give me once I get a job, license, and can afford the car insurance on it (which I don’t have any of those yet because. My life is fucked up atm but I’m not getting into it. But I need that car because I can’t go to a job if I don’t have a car ughhhh) and I also “owe” them money for things they gave me (such as a bed I didn’t ask for and told them I didn’t want REPEATEDLY, which is why I put quotes around owe but I’m not getting into that either LOL) and I don’t want want them pulling some bs on me if I come out to them where they disown me, take away all the things they give me, and make them pay them back for the things I “owe” them back for immediately.

And I don’t doubt that they would. Or at least my mom. Idk about my dad. Anyway sorry this wasn’t really as short as I’d like it but yeah. Basically it’s still hard, even as an adult. My mom is super conservative and bigoted and she’s been abusive my whole life and still continues to be. So I don’t trust her to not screw everything up for me or the people I love if I come out to her. She’s explosive and unpredictable too so. Oof. Just a bad situation overall. I’m hoping to come out to them once I become more independent. But when you’ve been abused your whole life and you’re poor and have mental illnesses that prevent you from getting any further in life that takes quite a bit of time.

Oof, this one is slightly complicated but I would say I lean slightly more on the repulsed side as I just can't see myself ever being in a straight up romantic relationship and tbh, I don't want to SJSJSJ

Okay so, funny story about that, I unironically figured out that I was aro thanks to techno. I found it out cause I kept reading queer platonic em duo stuff and every time techno talked about his love for philza but zero romance attached to it I was just like....... Oh....... another thing is that weirdly the dsmp fandom is just the only one that I've ever seen actual aspec rep IN the fandom content itself

15. What made you realize you wanted a queer platonic relationship?

I think the one thing I do like in the idea of romance is the loyalty and commitment attached to it which is how I began wanting a queer platonic relationship. That type of love that feels like home but without the romantic expectation and just creating your own definition of love with your partner is the dream for me :]

So many things you have absolutely no idea. I've never really understood the whole physical longing thing and having someone take up all of your thoughts and decisions to a worrying degree. I've never got wanting to act in an idealized way so that your crush might like you cause what's the point? I've never got how love confessions are this big relationship changing thing cause I just don't care and never thought of romantic love as a concern. Grade school was hell man SJSJSJ

YES, LIKE YOU HAVE NO IDEA. Loz wise I strongly believe oot link and hyrule warriors link to be on the aro spectrum!! ^-^ I mean, oot link literally ignored a whole ass marriage proposal so hard that I half believe the fact Ruto was interested didn't even REGISTER. hw link is so extremely funny to me cause the IDEA of him being aro and being chased by an evil sorceress is the embodiment of my poor aro meow meow. He didn't ask for this, he didn't want it, he doesn't even understand what's the big deal about romance WHY is she destroying REALITY FOR IT!!!

53. What is the best part about being aro?

The relief of knowing that I don't have to force myself to find or force myself to pretend that I feel romantic love. The relief that I can be my genuine self and be happy in the different forms of love that bring me happiness instead of what society expects of me. The fact that I have a name to explain what I've been experiencing my entire life and the fact that people reflect my thoughts have brought me more comfort than you can imagine. It's the relief of knowing I don't have to act or sell myself for a nonexistent partner and instead pursue the queer love that I've always dreamed of. It's the fascination of exploring the very foundation of love and how I interpret it by having a complete absence of romantic love but so much love for other things. For me being aro is comfort, acceptance, and living with the fact that you are not lesser for not experiencing something that a large amount of people, it's finding happiness in that absence as it allows you to instead fill that space with what you choose to love. It's carving out a little space for that queer love whenever it arrives and it fits perfectly within all the other things you've given love to, so much so that you never even think of how you may be different or may never experience something that everyone else cause you're so incredibly happy with what you have! That you could never think or want anything else, that's what being aro is for me and I've been much happier with my identity ever since I realized that ^-^
