Yuuji's ''I'm going to die with him'' from the start of the series to ''Sukuna, Come back and live with me '' at the end is, honestly, very beautiful.

"Let's try again one more time Sukuna, but this time, without cursing anyone. Even if no one else accepts you, I'll live with you" do you understand what's going on here? This is Yuuji attempting to connect with Sukuna, to show a certain compassion that is entirely alien to Sukuna. To the way he delicately lifts Sukuna's remains, with such carefulness, as if holding the remains of a precious loved one, Yuuji tries to show Sukuna "love". The same "love" that has been teased to us this entire series, that who is it that will show it to Sukuna, teach him of it.

This is the same Yuuji, who, at the beginning of the series held absolute disdain towards Sukuna, and always looked at him with much accusatory contempt and mistrust. At that point, He truly did think of Sukuna as nothing more than a "curse". The same "curse" Sukuna calls himself one last time as the last embers of his soul fade in Yuuji's hands.

But this time, Yuuji has a troubled look in his eyes.

As if he disagreed with him.

This is the look of someone, who is looking at the Humanity Sukuna does not believe exists within himself.

Humanity that Sukuna denies himself.

That Sukuna is not a curse, but a human that has been cursed.

Folks should be mindful when engaging with Black creator's OCs through appreciation type stuff (gifts of fanart/fanfic/etc).

If you're unsure if you're capturing the essence/appearance/personality of their OC, ASK!

I understand wanting to surprise a creator with a gift because you want to show your appreciation for their OC. But that gift is harmful when the creator sees you've whitewashed their OC or applied stereotypes or tropes that aren't a part of the character.

When in doubt, ask

i don't dislike the concept of AUs itself, I'm just not a fan of like... the subculture that spawned around them in the UT fandom specifically and how it eventually took over almost all canon content (especially when it limits itself to the bros)

i like aus visually! i am an artist at heart after all. it's just that, if I'm going to care about them as stories and not just fun design ideas, my bar is uhh almost impossibly high the further you move from canon lolol.

PLEASE READ. sooooo i know i said i was going to log off for the night but i just got some news back that's pretty disheartening.

so if you're unaware , i've unfortunately been unemployed for almost half a year now. i've applied to several different places but my options are limited as at the start of the year my boyfriend and i officially moved in together , the catch being we moved into a very tiny town and i don't drive , while my boyfriend has the only car and works two jobs , leaving him with 60+ hour work weeks. due to this , i'm very limited on jobs i can apply for simply due to the area in which i live in , and the fact that my state doesn't support public transportation or uber / lyft so this also isn't an option for me.

i unfortunately just got rejected from my most recent attempt at getting a job , and i'm starting to run out of options as i'm falling deeper into debt. i hate making posts like this , but considering i was debating restarting my commissions work anyway , i feel as though now is as good a time as any.

In reference to that one post b/c reblogs got turned off, I’ll be real with you guys, I actually do less research for my DP/DC fics compared to my non-crossover fics for either fandom. Not no research because I can’t help myself, but I realized a long time ago that 99% of this crossover fandom simply will not recognize or appreciate the work.

I’ve been in the DP fandom for a few years now, and I’ve been into DC stuff for even longer. So I know a lot of the characters fairly well (admittedly not all of them b/c there are a shit ton of dc characters), but when I write a DC fic I’ll read whole new comic runs to make sure the characterization is right, when I write a DC/DP crossover I just use whatever version of the character is funniest or fits the vibes best, even if it’s not fully accurate.

A DC fan will complain about mischaracterization while another lauds you on how well you characterized their fave (same character).

A DP fan will complain about made-up non-canon lore not being used.

A DP/DC fan will leave comments like “I love this fic, but I wish X character would have done this completely OOC thing because it would be funny lol”

I’ll defend myself to DP and DC fans but with crossover fans it’s usually not worth it. And they’re usually right. It would be funny.

it's  officially  midnight  here,  which  means  i'm  allowed  to  post  this!  so ...  happy  one  year  anniversary  of  enduring  the  plague  of  avalon  upon  your  dashboards!  alternatively,  thank  you  so  much  for  giving  me  a  place  to  babble  about  my  #1  favorite  comfort  character  who  has  experienced  zero  comfort.  (  i  swear  i  am  being  SO  NORMAL  about  this.  yes i did literally buy  cake  and  party  hats.  )  whether  we  speak  on  the  daily,  you've  just  gotten  here  or  anywhere  in  between,  i  want  to  extend  my  sincerest  gratitude  for  being  on  this  absolutely  wild  ride  of  a  blog  with  me.  there's  been  ups  and  downs,  but  ultimately  i  feel  like  my  passion  for  writing  has  been  ignited  stronger  than  it's  ever  been  before.  i  am  still  always  so  excited  whenever  i  get  the  chance  to  log  on  here  and  create  stories  with  all  of  you  —  and  i  wouldn't  have  that  opportunity  if  it  wasn't  for  this little  corner  of  the  internet  you've  helped  make truly special.

I am 100% subscribed to the idea that Paintbrush becomes extremely overprotective of everyone, especially Lightbulb, post II-movie, to the point that they become reckless and more likely to get themselves hurt in the process.

weiss, my light! thank you for the ask and your kind words (•ᴗ•,, ) i hope you don't think i'm being intentionally vague when i say that i just really go by a lot of the boys' texting habits and personalities. i keep up with their weverse posts, etc., and that gives me a relatively good idea of how they 'sound' (i think that's half the job anyhow since smaus are text-heavy) i adjust as necessary; my earlier work bears differences to my more recent stuff, and that's largely because i get some idea of how to write the boys as i go along ˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶ i'm not immune to the more common tropes— i.e. kaomoji user seokmin! jihoon who sounds pretty serious over text!— but i like to bend it every now and then as i see fit this wasn't necessarily your question, but just a tmi— i find it easiest to write the texts of vernon (surprise, surprise), jihoon, and soonyoung; i occasionally struggle with minghao (surprise [real]), wonwoo, and chan 😅 aaah mahal kita, ty again for this!!!
