Nakasabay mo na ba ang mga maiingay na Bosconian na parang nakangiti 24/7? Naisip mo na ba kung anong klaseng paaralan mayroon sila? Kamusta?! Ako ay si Andre Benedikt S. Peralta isang grade 11 na estudyante at malamang isa sa maingay na Bosconian sa mall at eto ang kwento ko kung bakit ko pinili at marerekomenda ang DBTI bilang paaralan para sa aking SHS na taon.

Taong 2011 nang una akong pumasok sa institusyong ito; ngayon ay malapit na mag taong 2023. Maraming ups and downs, gaya ng kasalukuyang pandemya at maraming suspensiyon ng klase. Ang taon ay 2022, at sa wakas ay nasa senior na taon na ako, ngunit pakiramdam ko ay nasa grade 8 pa rin ako dahil sa dalawang taon na nasayang ko sa pandemya na nakakulong lang sa aking silid na halos walang ginagawa. Ang pagiging senior high school ay kinakatakutan ko simula pa noong mga panahon na ako ay nasa elementarya dahil may mga paksang tulad ng Calculus at General chemistry na tumakot saakin hanggang sa gusto ko nalang maging Pari o Brother para lang makatakas sa mga ito. Dahil kakagaling ko palang sa pure online class, nagkaroon ako ng malalim na pag-uusap sa aking ina tungkol sa kung dapat ba akong pumasok sa f2f class o kung mag oonline class nalang ulit ako, at ganito ang nagyari, "Nay, parang gusto ko mag onlince class nalang kasi parang di ko kakayanin na lumipat muli ng modality na from online to f2f, natatakot ako na di ko kakayanin at bababa ng todo yung grades ko" ngunit sinabi niya “Magkaklase kayo ni Celerio, Manu, Giova-” at kaagad kong sinabi “Ay f2f nalang ako hehe” at ayun, nasa f2f na ako at buhay pa naman. Siguro kung ibang school yun at hindi DBTI malamang papasok na ako sa seminaryo para takasan yung mga subjects na nakakatakot pero dahil ako ay nasa DBTI, ang pagtuturo dito ay parang nasa seminaryo ka na at inaaral mo parin yung mga nakakaiyak na subjects, nakakatawa pag binabasa pero masaya siya kasi lumalapit ka na nga sa Panginoon, lumalapit ka pa sa “goals” mo sa buhay. Ang mga turo ni Don Bosco at ang vision mission na ipinakilala sa amin noong 6 na taong gulang ay naroroon pa rin sa mga aktibidad, pagtuturo, at maliliit na pakikipag-usap sa mga guro. Hindi kailanman nabigo ang DBTI na palaguin ang Panginoon sa amin at turuan kaming lumaban sa lahat ng problema sa buhay upang lalo kaming lumaki bilang mabuting tao.

Naaalala ninyo yung sinabi kong gusto kong iwasan na subjects? Naiwasan ko sana sila kung pinili ko ang ibang strand, pero pinayuhan ako ng mga malalapit kong guro na kumuha ng STEM dahil gusto kong mag-aral ng Engineering sa kolehiyo. Ito ang mga guro sa DBTI, napaka mapagkakatiwalaan at magpapayo ng pinaka maganda para sa iyo. Nahihirapan pa rin ako sa mga asignaturang ito, ngunit ang mga guro sa SHS DBTI ay matiyaga sa akin at sinusuportahan nila ako kahit mabagal akong makaintindi. Ang pinakamagandang bagay tungkol sa SHS sa DBTI ay ang sari-saring mga tao na makikilala mo (kabilang ang mga guro, Brothers, and Fathers), dahil maraming walang kwentang kuwentuhan na nagbibigay saya lamang para ikaw ay maging komportable. Katulad nuong usapin namin ng isang Brother na malapit saakin sinabi ko, “Brads pag bagsak ako sa College mag seseminaryo nalang ako” pero sabi naman niya “sige papagdasalan ko yan” nagtawanan nalang kami at ayun, walang bisa na kuwentuhan pero napakasaya. Ang mga bagay na tulad nito ay ang nagpapagawang espesyal sa DBTI at hindi ako pipili ng ibang paaralan bilang aking paghahandang paaralan para sa kolehiyo dahil ito ang pinakamagandang paaralan para sa akin at irerekomenda ko ito palagi. Ako ay isang Makasalanang tao at ang DBTI ay ang nagparandam sa akin na ako ay kabilang sa pamilya at ginawa akong mas malapit sa Panginoon kasabay nito ay naging mas maliwanag ang aking kinabukasan habang papalapit ako sa aking gustong kinabukasan.

THE GAANG + OZAI’S ANGELS IN QUARANTINE

ZUKO: He’s the one who panic buys and is a stickler on the cleaning and washing hands and masks(yay zuko) His quarantine hobby baking bread no questions asked😤 Is obsessed with skincarebyhyram cuz HIS SCAR and Mai laughs at him but he gets her to get Cerave wnd The Ordinary and it made her GLOWWWW

Katara: She’s family walk girl. 7pm, after dinner. All of them go on the family walks. She makes a “schedule” so they have a sense or normal. She helps Toph film her Tiktok videos because Toph is blind ALSO Katara totally tries all the recipes she finds on social media. She makes earrings and sells them on Etsy to all our WLW hehe

TOPH: She’s a social media star. She’s the queen of anime and cosplay tiktok. She also stays in bed for most of the day cuz WHY NOT! She also promotes Katara and Suki’s Etsy earring buisness since she’s famous.

Aang: Aang totally helps Zuko bake it’s their BONDING also he got into sewing over quarantine and playing the Ukelele and he got famous on YouTube for his uke covers

Sokka: He’s determined for get them quarantine body goals. He does Chloe Ting with Suki EVERYDAY and does couple yoga with her. He loves making arts and crafts w/ty lee and sings when Aang plays the uke. He eats EVERYTHING Zuko bakes for sure and all of Katara’s cooking creations.Also, he’s a painter now. Also, he let Suki shave his head for fun and Toph laughs at him even though she can’t see. Has an online shopping addiction

Suki: Does Chloe Ting with Sokka. She has to go, “DON’T STOP” when Sokka lays there and complains, “Is Chloe tryna kills us!” She helps Katara make the earrings and together they run a successful Etsy small buisness. Occasionally, she takes Sokka out on cottage core picnics. She gets the Gaang and Ozai’s Angels to gather around the piano to sing as she plays at the end of the day. ALSO SHE GOT KATARA TO TRY HER INDIE GIRL STYLE. Unfortunantly, she let Sokka dye two strips of her hair and she cut her hair at three am. Forces Zuko to learn Tiktok dances with her

Azula: Her makeup game got SO GOOD over quarantine. She was the one who was like, “I’m gonna improve at my hobby so much” over quarantine but like didn’t work at it at all. Has a crying session with Tylee and Sokka everyday cuz quarantine does that. She learned how to make scrunchies and drinks whipped coffee every morning. Also she cut her bangs unevenly during a mental breakdown at four am.

Ty Lee: She took onlince dance class EVERYDAY except on sundays when her and Azula would go on a picnic together. She got REALLY into cottagecore and she’s the one renovating the WHOLE HOUSE. I’m talking, re flooring, painting, and decorating. She drags Mai to helps her and Mai hates it but secretly likes it! She’s really good at embroidery now and helps Toph her new Cosplays. Made family movie night a thing and helps cooked themed dinners.Makes arts and crafts with Sokka and is OBSESSED with skincarebyhyram

Mai: She totally binged Netflix. Believe or not, she made a scrapbook and got REALLY into it. She learned how to make boba and it was a GAME CHANGER for the whole squad like queen mai. She got back into her middle school phases of children’s cartoons and now she’s writing fanfiction and making fanart cuz Sokka taught her how to paint and draw.

My sleep schedule is the messiest thing you’ll ever see, these days I go to bed around 7am and will wake up until 2 or 3pm. When I was still in onlince classes I would have class from 7am to 1pm, so as soon as class finished I would pass out, wake up at 5pm, have my only meal of the day and do homework until 7am. I ended up losing like 8 kilograms with online classes.

I’m so mad I’m such an introvert, I want to party but I don’t know how lmao, I can’t socialize without getting extremely uncomfortable and wanting to leave, everytime I try to leave the house and socialize with more than 3 persons I end up replaying Here by Alessia Cara in my head over and over again.

I really love drawing but I kind of suck at it and cry a lot over young artists being crearly better than me but oh well. Anyway, I figured out to not push myself to draw and practice if I don’t want to because I just end up drawing worse.

I hate physical contact. I’m very picky with who touches me and it’s gotten to a point where I don’t let my dad or my sister hug me. I hate it when people hug me cuz they feel like it, I don’t like getting hugged, I hate mouth kisses because all my previous experiences with that have sucked terribly. It’s a bit selfish but if I want to hug someone then it’s okay but if I don’t, then no. But consent amirite???

This one is way darker than the previous so I apologize about that. I’ve always dealt with depressive episodes and I’m kinda used to them. But what gets the worst of me are always stress and anxiety thoughts, I suck at handling stress so must of the times I’ll end up harming myself to relieve stress. Anyway, that dialed down a lot when I ended the semester but my depressive thoughts have come back and right now I guess you could say I’m having suicidal thoughts. I’m mainly writing this for myself so I can look back in the future and know that I got out of this. But yes, I am dealing with suicidal thoughts right now, my brain just likes making me think a lot about the idea and don’t worry, I’m not getting anything done but it still bothers me quite a lot.
