I don't kpop post here a lot but just know that I actually have been watching road to kingdom every week and: 1) I am so glad this is going to be over soon; 2) even so, I'm very excited to see all the performances; 3) man why couldn't mnet let the groups use the really big rtk1 stage if there wasn't going to be a live audience anyway. that rtk2 stage is so CRAMPED

When I saw their last performance in the first season, I thought, 'Why haven’t they done it like this all along?' Luckily, they’ll get another chance to show their best in season 2. But so far, this performance has been their best yet. The way they used the screen, the concept, choreography, camera shots, and the song. It was absolutely perfect 👌🏻✨

okay, this song was one I was on the fence about.  It’s not my favorite though it is still very good but it doesn’t bop for me the way others on the list do.  There’s a story going on here, immortals fighting through the ages and I am very good with that plus the guys they’re fighting have beautifully long wicked looking claws and once you start fighting with claws involved I’m automatically in.  Still its not a very coherent story and its more an idea than an actual fleshed out thing so I wasn’t going to include it.

Then the last scene after the music stops happened.

And dang.  Dang, yep, okay.  THAT’S a story I want to hear for sure.  Now I’m invested and involved.  Tell me the rest of that story.   7/10 for a super slow build up but a punch line pop of an ending.

Oneus Reaction ✧ You shutting them up with a kiss

Seoho: 

you can see something’s bothering him when you meet him that day

he tries his best not to show it and to pretend he’s alright (which he isn’t very good at dhhdhd)

and he notices that you’re about to call him out on it, so he begins to ramble about some random topic 

so you just sit there, a little caught off guard, but you watch him awkwardly trying to distract you from his bad mood for a few minutes

until you decide it’s enough, and you lean in to give him a kiss

he’s rendered speechless and frozen up as he tries to process what just happened

so you simply kiss him again and as he puts his hand on your waist to pull you closer, kissing you back, he seems to accept that this is simply what you’re doing now

after a while, you part, and you take his hands into yours

“Now tell me what’s up with you.”

finally, he gathers the courage to tell you honestly about what’s bothering him

Leedo: 

you were trying to prepare dinner for him to surprise him with after a long day of work 

the emphasis here is on trying

because you somehow manage to completely fuck up the dish to the point it neither looks anything like what it’s supposed to, nor very edible

your boyfriend comes home to a mess of a kitchen and you in a panic, because there wasn’t enough time left to try again

instead of at least thanking you for your efforts, he immediately begins to scold you in that way where he does his best to keep his voice soft but you can unmistakably tell that he’s pissed off

and it’s not like you wouldn’t appreciate him telling you what you did wrong and what to watch out for the next time you try cooking this dish, but at that very moment you just really don’t want to hear it

so you kiss him to make him shut up

he’s obviously confused now and he immediately goes over to complaining about how you can’t just do that

however, when you keep kissing him he will give in and relax eventually, and you can convince him to simply order takeout food tonight

Keonhee: 

you and your boyfriend had been planning a weekend trip for months

however, when the time of the trip finally comes, he has to realize that he got sick

it’s only a cold, but you decide that it would be smarter to postpone the trip in case his condition gets worse

now obviously he’s frustrated because of that

so he keeps apologizing to you for getting sick and for not being more careful etc etc

like, he feels so sorry that you start feeling sorry too djhdjdx

he rambles on and on about how he really wanted to enjoy this weekend with you, how he wanted to go get good food with you and have a lot of fun and so on

not being able to watch him in this pitiful state anymore, you simply press a kiss onto his lips

he shuts up immediately, and just kisses you back

you tell him that it’s okay and that he shouldn’t beat himself up over it in between kisses, even though you’re sure he already got your message without you having to spell it out for him

and then eventually you just make out until you’re both feeling better

the trip gets postponed by a few weeks, and when you can finally go on your well deserved holiday, he makes sure to make it unforgettable for you

Hwanwoong:

you’re both at his place, currently taking a break from playing a game together and so you’re just lounging on the couch while eating snacks

he’s still talking about the game you just played

that’s when a glance at your boyfriend’s lips moving as he speaks sparks the desire to kiss him

you just want to know what happens and maybe you shouldn’t have been so curious about it

because now that your kiss has interrupted his rambles, he’s turning it into a challenge

he quickly presses a short kiss on your mouth, grinning at you playfully when he pulls back

you’re surprised by his reaction, but you don’t dislike this game he’s starting, so you reach out for his collar and pull him into the next kiss

you give each other playful kisses back and forth, until you’re both giggling messes, foreheads pressed together

“What was that even just now?” you wonder out loud, and Hwanwoong gives you another dramatic smooch

“I dunno. You started it?”

you go back to gaming after that, but now you’re sitting closer beside each other, to the point your upper arms touch (and you can always softly elbow the other in the side to make playing the game properly more difficult for each other lol)

Xion:

you’re out on a date with him and you’ve settled down in a cute café nearby

you’ve known something’s up with him ever since you first saw him that day, but now that you’re all seated, he finally begins to talk

he’s a bit hesitant to complain, but what you get from his rambles is that his brother did something to annoy him, but says Dongju is the annoying one instead

your boyfriend is clearly upset, and usually you can somewhat reason with him, but today he just won’t calm down

even when you try to explain to him that the situation is probably resolved easily if they talk about it again, he wants to hear none of it

however, not wanting to spend the rest of the day with a sulky boyfriend, you figure you should try something else to cheer him up

and so, when he keeps ranting about how unfair he thinks this all is, you get an idea

you lean across the table and you press a feathery light kiss onto his lips, immediately shutting him up

he’s blushing and he’s clearly embarrassed now

struggling to find his words, he eventually just gives up on agonizing over the fight with his brother

instead, he now keeps urging you on to go home sooner during the entire date (you know he just wants more kisses from you in the comfort of his own home)

Third Person POV

Living a double life that transcends between the normal and what could only be seen as an imaginary world, is difficult. (Y/n) appears completely human, however, that is far from the truth. (Y/n) is a fairy. A water fairy to be precise. She sneaks out of the home she shares with her five boyfriends, Seoho, Geonhak, Keonhee, Hwanwoong, and Dongju, also known as the idol group Oneus, every morning not returning until late at night. At the beginning of the relationship, the boys didn’t notice (Y/n) leaving early and returning late because, well, they did the same thing, considering their job.  However, after a whole year of being together, the boys began noticing some things, (Y/n) left early every single day, never having a day off it seemed, returning in the afternoon, completely drained of energy, whenever they asked about her job she just answers with something vague, and things like that. Because of this, the boys decided to follow (Y/n) one morning when they had a day off from their idol work.  

(Y/n) got up at 5 am, got dressed, and left the apartment. The five members of Oneus quickly got up as soon as the door closed. All of them were already dressed so they could follow (Y/n). Soon enough, (Y/n) turned into an alleyway that led nowhere, the boys sneaked around the corner to find (Y/n) standing with her back towards them just staring at a wall. The alleyway was dark but something seemed to be glowing around (Y/n)’s hands. The five boys tried to quietly walk closer to their girlfriend, which went well until Dongju stumbled on a rock, making a loud bang with his foot as he found his balance. The ruckus made (Y/n) turn around as she was surprised by the sound. (Y/n) was scared that whoever had made the noise was a drunkard or something, she was slightly at ease when she saw her five soulmates but then she became nervous. 

“What are you guys doing here?” “We wanted to see what you do for your job but whenever we asked you never answered,” Keonhee began, followed by Hwanwoong. “So we kind of decided to follow you, sorry,” “I mean, I guess, it’s okay. It’s my fault for not telling you, it’s just, you see, the thing is… um it’s kind of hard to explain,” (Y/n) wasn’t sure how to bring up the fact that she wasn’t exactly human, she was a fairy, and her job was collecting morning dew and other water droplets for her village so that other fairies could distribute the water. On days when she wasn’t working she visited her family, she didn’t get to see them much so if she mentioned visiting her family around the boys they would surely want to come with her. 

“(Y/n), whatever it is you can tell us,” Seoho said as he took a step closer to (Y/n). “It’s really weird and complicated and I don’t know, I’m scared, I guess,” “What are you scared of? I mean when we first met we seemed sketchy and stuff because we couldn’t tell you about our soon-to-be debut and everything,” Geonhak said. “Just one question, do we have to be in this alleyway for this?” Dongju asked with a small chuckle. “We kind of do,” (Y/n) answered, nerves and something close to shame on her face. 

“Okay, promise to hear me out before you walk away?” “We promise,” Geonhak answered. “We would never just walk away from you, no matter what,” Hwanwoong said as he put a loving hand on (Y/n)’s shoulder, all the boys giving her encouraging smiles. “This is going to sound crazy, but I’m a fairy,” And so (Y/n) explained what she was and what she was doing for work, the boys stood there, at first thinking (Y/n) was just joking with them but as she continued explaining everything she also showed them a bit of her magic. 

“I can’t do as much in my human form but I can do this,” The five idols watched in awe as a baby blue light emitted from the girl's hands, small sparkles danced around her and the five of them. Soon a strong light blinded them, once they opened their eyes, the world around them seemed much bigger. They all spun around, not understanding what was happening. After a few seconds, Dongju laid eyes on (Y/n). Translucent blue wings on her back, her hair shinier than ever, and a marine blue flower-like dress adorned her body. 

“Woah,” Was all the youngest boy could say. The other four noticed (Y/n)’s new appearance as Dongju tried to say something. All of them realized that what (Y/n) just told them, was real. “So, yeah that’s almost everything,” “Almost?” Keonhee asked, wondering what more she had to tell them. “You see, fairies like many other creatures, have fated bonds, a person or people whom they are destined to be with, soulmates I guess you could call it,” As (Y/n) explained the situation to the boys her wings began moving, her now tiny form levitating around the air in front of them. 

“Does that mean that we are soulmates? Or do you have a soulmate somewhere out there?” Geonhak asked, a bit worried that they would lose her. (Y/n)’s wings stopped flickering, her body once again landing on the ground. The fairy took a few steps closer to the five boys that she loved with all of her heart. “I love all five of you, with everything that I am, and I could never imagine my life without you guys now. You are my soulmates, I wouldn’t have been with you guys for this long otherwise, it would have felt wrong,” The five idols all broke out into happy smiles while tears filled their eyes, relief, and happiness flowing through their bodies. 

The boys pulled (Y/n) into a tight and warm group hug, all six of them crying and sniffling. (Y/n) felt safe in their arms, she felt accepted, a huge weight had been lifted off of her shoulders, and she finally felt like she could breathe. “Wait, so all this time, you’ve been sneaking off like this to work? Are we holding you from doing your job right now?” Hwanwoong asked, worry evident in his voice. “Well yes to the first question, mostly, and no for the second one. I was sneaking out to visit my family today,” 

“You’ve never really talked about your family before,” “I know, what was I supposed to say, hey guys my family consists of fairies and they’re tiny,” (Y/n) answered Seoho’s question as she chuckled. “Yeah, I guess it’s hard to explain that one, but just so you know, you can really tell us anything, we won’t judge you, because we love you,” Keonhee ended his sentence with another tight hug. “Do you guys want to come with me? Meet my parents?” “YES!” They all screamed in unison. (Y/n)’s hands began glowing once more, small sparkles erupted around the boys, followed by another blinding light. Once the light calmed down, the boys found themselves dressed in flower-like clothing and blue translucent wings adorned their backs. 

“WOAH! We have wings!” Dongju exclaimed as he and Keonhee jumped around in excitement. “You’re going to need them, the only way to get to my village is by flying there,” “We’ve never flown like this though,” Geonhak said, a bit sceptical. “The wings knows what they need to do, it’s like a copy of my wings, so as long as I know how to use them, you’ll be able to use them,” “Let’s fly then!” Hwanwoong said as he ran up to (Y/n), giving her a quick kiss on the lips. (Y/n)’s cheeks reddening with a blush, even after a year of being in a relationship with them she always blushed after kissing. 

And so the six soulmates set off into the sky, the five boys marveling at the feeling of flying. The wings flickering behind them. The way the world looked from the eyes of a small fairy. They laughed as they danced around with the wind, the sun slowly rising over the horizon coloring the world in a bright yellowy-orange hew. After a few minutes, the group arrived at a clearing where ther saw hundreds of other fairies dancing around in the sky as the collected morning dew and sunlight and whatnot. 

“Come on this way,” (Y/n) showed her soulmates around the village, introducing them to some of her childhood friends before they finally came to a stop at a cute little house. A house that (Y/n) grew up in before she moved to the city, living more as a human rather than a fairy. “It’s so pretty, everything around her is so nice, it seems so right that you come from here,” Geonhak said. “What do you mean?” “You shine just like the sun, it’s like you sparkle. You seem like a goddess, ethereal, as a human but seeing you like this, this place and you just makes so much sense together,” “That’s exactly how I feel when I see you guys standing on stage, singing, dancing, performing,” 

Magic exists in everything alive, the most special magic in the world is the one found in true love and happiness.

Imagine your boyfriend Jongho getting jealous when you admire Oneus’ Leedo’s strength

For some idols, keeping their partner away from their idol side worked for them. However as you'd been involved in the behind the scenes side of the business before you and Jongho even got together, that was impossible but lucky neither of you minded. Jongho quite liked having you on set and you found it nice that the two of you could discuss the industry and see one another's views. You also got along with all the boys in Ateez finding them hilarious and so watched all of Jongho's content. Every music video and interview you could get your hands on. Jongho cringed whenever he saw himself acting sexy but you'd shush him and tell him to deal with it. However you'd been busy recently and had missed a lot of Ateez content and were trying to catch up. That's why you were only just watching the Ateez interview with Oneus. You were friendly with Oneus having worked for their company briefly but clearly didn't know everything about them.

"A watermelon!" you cried as they announced Leedo could break one with a single punch. "How on earth is he going to do that?" you asked watching as Leedo rolled up the sleeves of his shirt. "I know Leedo was strong but surely that's impossible" you said more to yourself than anyone but Jongho had heard you loud and clear. He wanted to ask how you knew Leedo was so strong, the insecure protectiveness coming through but he stopped himself. He watched as Leedo punched the watermelon in half and your face lit up in amazement "that was insane! He's so strong!" you cried "and the way he just dabs his shirt afterwards is so cool. He's so classy" you smiled and Jongho frowned "yeah well keep watching". "Why?" you asked and he smiled "you'll see...". You grinned and turned back to the screen when it lit up with a phone call. "It's my sister...hold on" you said pausing the video and Jongho frowned "wait no! What about the video?" excited for you to see him also break the watermelon. You laughed "I won't be long" and Jongho sighed. Every phone call with your sister lasted at least an hour so he bookmarked the video for you and put something else on. Just as Jongho predicted your phone call lasted longer than expected and you didn't have to finish the rest of the video. So Jongho waited and then when you got home from work the next day and started browsing through your video list he waited patiently. "Eugh what should we watch?" you asked. "Well we could finish that video you started yesterday?" Jongho offered when you shook your head "no need, I finished it on my dinner at work". "What?" he cried and you nodded "yeah it was really good and you were amazing with that watermelon. The boys were so funny". Jongho pouted slightly. He was pleased you liked him smashing the watermelon but not quite satisfied. He'd wanted to watch it with you to see the look on your face when he did it. He knew it was immature but he wanted you to gush over him like you'd done Leedo. "What's wrong?" you asked noticing his expression but Jongho shook his head "nothing I was just thinking about something...so where do you want to eat?". You nodded and began suggesting ideas but Jongho could tell you hadn't fully dropped it. Then as you went out for dinner, who should you see but Oneus themselves? The group were coming down the street as you were going up and there was no avoiding them. Hwanwoong saw you and waved and you grinned happy to see them.  "Hey" you smiled and Jongho greeted them all too. "I finally watched your interview with Ateez. You were all amazing. Keonhee I'm glad you've found your long-lost brother". The boy chuckled and Jongho was tense hoping you wouldn't spot Leedo at the back but you did. "And you breaking that watermelon was insane!" you cried. Leedo laughed "thank you but Jongho did it too" pointing to him. You nodded "yeah but Jongho's an expert with fruit...and he didn't do it in a silk shirt". Leedo blushed but was happy. Jongho was not. It was nothing" he insisted but you shook your head "it was everything Leedo" and he blushed even more. "Yeah he's so strong he's like a gorilla!" Hwanwoong cried "I can't even wrap my arms around him properly" and he began to demonstrate. You all watched amused before Jongho motioned he wanted to go. "We're gonna head off but it was nice seeing you" you said and waved to the guys. "They're so nice" you smiled and Jongho nodded "so nice". When you sat down in the restaurant you got something was off. Jongho seemed really stiff and tense which was odd because in the car he had returned to normal. Something was clearly bothering him and when the waiter left to get your drinks you touched Jongho's hand "are you sure you're okay, you know you can tell me anything right?". Jongho tensed but gently took your hand "I know". "So what's wrong and don't say nothing because you look really sad and I want to know why". Jongho frowned "I just...it's silly just ignore me". You shook your head "but I don't want to! If something's upsetting you, I want to help". Jongho sighed "but it's something I need to work on not you...only I can dictate my emotions". "Yeah but other people can also influence them, so is there anything I can do to help?". Jongho sighed again "I sometimes get jealous...". "Jealous?" you asked and Jongho nodded "when I see you get impressed with other guys, like that thing with Leedo? You seemed to really admire him and that made me jealous because being strong is my thing and I want to be the only guy you look at like that...but that's my insecurity, not yours and I promise I will work on it". 

You squeezed Jongho's hand "thank you for telling me and being so honest with me. I understand where you're coming from and want you to know you'll always be my favourite strong guy". Jongho blushed and you carried on "and if I can do anything to help you work through that please let me know". Jongho smiled "you're so great, I knew you wouldn't laugh at me but still I was a little nervous to tell you but I should've known you'd be understanding. I do have the best girlfriend ever". You chuckled "coming from" and gently traced a pattern on the back of his hand. The waiter came back with your drinks and it was smiles all around with Jongho left a lot happier than when he walked in. No matter what he was your favourite strong guy and that was all he needed.
