Well this past weekend I planned another weekend trip! I rode to Ray Roberts State Park and had the chance to meet up with some friends throughout the weekend! The ride was expected to take me about 5 or 6 hours but it ended up taking me nearly 8 because of a constant head wind! I was very happy to make it to Pilot Point because it meant I was very close to my finishing point. I was ready to relax and set up camp. The first night I spent time hanging out with my Friend Kat and her companion Clarence. A nice evening but my sleep for the night was rough. I woke up the following morning to the sun rising before the clouds took over. Feeling pretty victorious after biking 36 miles. My second time on the @lamoillevalleyrail trail was amazing. Well my friend, @shawn.carr.142, gave me a ride to the city the day before to make sure I was close to the airport and avoided any issues, like having a brake lock up and stop us 6 miles from my destination. After some thought, I took half my stuff and bike the 6 miles and got a @lyft back to the truck to get the rest of my things and say farewell to my dear friend Shawn, he's the friend that gave me the tool to change my life. Thanks brother for the memories, mantra and mission! You may think you didn't do much but I may not have made it to this point without the enough you did. 🙏 I left my bicycle with my other friend, Doug, which was in need of a bicycle. This bicycle has served its purpose for me, it gave me the leap I needed into the cycling community and for that I am grateful. Its a bicycle that I am glad can find another purpose and hopefully inspire another human to do something crazy and amazing! The next morning I got to @loganairport_ to catch my flight with @jetblue, this time the only change made was the gate number. @hov_veterans_podcast picked up my wheels I had worked while I was gone and On the way back from @dfwairport, I booked my car rental thru @avis for the 14th to get to Denver, the first half of my route to Seattle. Maybe they can help out with the 2nd half somehow. Things were coming together, that was till I tried to put the bicycle together. I messed up and now was in need of parts, my fork is 8mm to narrow for my wheel and electric system I got through @sinewavecycles. I literally felt this anxiety and even the start of a panic attack coming over me! I stepped away to gather my thoughts and figure out my plan. The rain finally stopped enough to be able to cook a little food. I spent a large portion of the day in the tent while it rained, as it was chilly and wet and I dont like being that combination. Anyway I made another helping of avocado pasta but was getting low on my food supplies. Just a few miles down the road was the first store I jad seen in almost a week with fresh produce! I got so happy to restock my rice and noodles, veggies and snacks at the ocean shore @iga_grocers. I went back to the ocean city state park which was now nearly empty. Almost everyone had packed up to leave to get back to the daily grind. After getting back it started raining again and I ended the day yet again in the tent but warm and full.
