the more i think about it, the more "i was a teenage exocolonist" is The relationship game for me. like it's so aro, ace, relationship anarchy friendly it's unbelievable.

romance and sex are there but there's no big advantage to pursuing them in the game, except some extra little scenes for dates & maybe a different blurb for your partner(s) of choice at the end. you get the same relationship progression with everyone no matter what. characters you build relationships with treat you the same whether you're dating or friends or fuck buddies or some fourth thing. the scene where you have a sleepover and cuddle and talk about how important you are to each other isn't locked off just because you're not dating. you can say no to sexual situations with someone you are dating and it doesn't negatively affect anything. romance, dating, and sex don't affect the overall plot at all, they're just there as a little extra thing. relationships don't exist on an escalator from strangers > friends > romance, it's just like 1-10 of how close you are, and for me that's just 😘👌

i think a lot of this is a product of the game being so complex & the creators not being able to account for EVERY variable in a playthrough so they made things more vague, but to me it's a feature, and one of my favorites at that. i love that my partners of choice don't prioritize me over their existing relationships. i love that i can see 4 different 10-heart scenes in a single run and give all 4 characters a happy ending while not having dated anyone (though i may have had sex with a couple of them, for funsies). you can play it however you want, interpret the scenes and relationships however you want, and that's so ideal for me & my experience. i just love this game and its relationship mechanics so so much

BRO 💀 LUKA IS SO HOPELESSLY IN LOVE AND DOWN BAD FOR HYUNA… He’s smiling like a kid in a candy store and blushing like a schoolgirl with a crush when a GUN is pointed at his head??? Wanting to run to her and embrace her anyway, with zero regard for his own situation or how she might react negatively to him??? Kissing her missing poster (even though kissing isn’t really a thing in their society?) He’s literally SO mentally ill and obsessed with her… This is toxic and codependent het, I KNOW IT IS 👁️👄👁️

The song this time was admittedly not my favorite, honestly (its tone is sort of haunting)—but I love what it represents… A pure lullaby, holding all the hope for a peaceful and happy future. It’s probably one of the few songs Luka ever sang without intent to manipulate or harm his duet partner.

I loved seeing more gaps in the story being filled in!! Mizi after being rescued and Hyuna trying to calm her down, Hyunwoo’s presence in general, Hyuna competing in Alien Stage, Luka and the other children in Anakt Garden… Ooogh, and those flashes to an alternate universe where everyone is alive, well, and involved in their passions… Luka and Hyuna with their matching rings (not sure if they’re promise bands, engagement rings, or wedding rings)?? It was nice but I feel like I might not be as invested in their relationship if that AU lacks the ✨ spice ✨ of being enemies.

LITTLE LUKA WAS SO PRECIOUS BUT ALSO SUCH A LONER LOSER OTL Laying his head against her… Him sitting under that tree alone and huddled up, counting his fingers to pass the time… Hyuna casually joining him… The pure joy that brings him… Hyuna going in for what seems to be a hug, only for the scene to cut to her body slumping on his AFTER BEING SHOT WHILE PROTECTING HIM 💀 That was absolutely FOUL…

TILL, MY BELOVED SON… He didn’t show up a lot this song, but I loved seeing him having so much freedom and creativity. Spray painting, drawing, just acting like a Normal Human Being and not constantly lashing out and being violently subdued 💦 I always feel like I’ve been punched in the gut myself when he’s harmed. Poor guy… He deserves all the happiness in the world.

I am half expecting the next installment to just be her wailing on Luka, maybe blaming him for what happened to Hyuna and still holding a grudge for using Sua’s death in such a despicable way.

Hyuna’s final words to Luka were so 👌 It wasn’t too long, it wasn’t too short… It was the perfect length and it conveyed everything she needed to tell him. How important he truly is to her, how she hates him because she loves him; he is and always was her one and only weakness, how all she wishes in her final moments is for Luka to live life to its fullest—even the ugly bits. That he should forgive himself and love himself no matter what…

P.S. I feel like I definitely got lost on some parts of the story 😅 I wasn’t sure how to interpret that scene where Luka was covered in blood and there were a bunch of his dead clones (?) in tanks?? Is the implication supposed to be that the aliens were trying to make the perfect performer and the Luka we know now is the ideal test tube baby…? I see his hand on what appears to be a control panel of some kind?? So did he accidentally kill the clones?? And I’m not sure why the random gunman tried to shoot Luka. Isn’t Hyuna the leader of the resistance? Why didn’t she command them to stop? Why did she throw herself in harm’s way instead? Was it a spur of the moment or adrenaline fueled move? Did the gunman really dislike Luka or what he represents + want to kill him so badly they disregarded orders to let him go?

P.P.S. Sorry to Ivan fans… I do not have much to remark on other than the opinion I have always held, which is “Man has killer eyelashes.”

Okay. I wasn't gonna include any dialogue details here (because I've mostly been able to watch without subs) but... The dialogue that I know is happening here 😭 the how can I be a king if I don't care about my son bit from Meliodas and the to be a king we have to set aside our own feelings from Arthur, and this especially in light of Meliodas' past with his own father and his lack of care for his sons and opinion on personal feelings/emotions🥺😭😭

Meliodas immediately going to Tristan's side (even putting away his weapon and turning his back on his very powerful enemy because he loves his kid so much)

THE WAY HE'S HOLDING TRISTAN (I could make a whole post about everything I love about this one shot)

Despite how many characters can fly in this universe, there's something unnerving and powerful about the way Arthur does it in this scene - like. specifically the way he lifts off the ground

Meliodas willingness to die protecting his family is also something that will never not make by sob 😭😭

There's something about Percy's scream for Meliodas, and the way it's visualized, that just hits hard (and especially considering how he actually just met him)

Not the shook on his face 😭 he was fully prepared to take that hit

Princess Jasmine was my favorite disney princess as a kid. I saw the latest ad for a jewlery company (that completely botched the inspired design) and was reminded of my pookie. I told @hyperfix-wip and she sent me an unfinished project called the Princess and the Cobbler. So now I want a princess r who's down bad for "street rat" Hobart or prince Hobart with vendor r. I'm also not opposed to Ekko in this au 🫣.

Like imagine r doesn't want to get married and is very radical in her views. Hobie witnesses this firsthand in a scene like Jasmine's "I am not a prize to be won!" Obviously my favorite aspect of the story is learning to be true to yourself so Hobie slowly realizing the princess isn't snobby and pretentious is ✨️👌

A genie r would be pretty cool too. I would imagine the scenario is Hobie treats r like a person and not an indentured servant. Then he loses the lamp to a baddie (not the good kind) and has to save her and that's how r ends up free from the lamp.

On that note I know we're jumping on the Ekko and Hobie train so... princess r x genie Ekko x thief Hobie?

Also...faries✨️? I'm getting bombarded with my childhood. Pirate Hobie with fairy r as his little spy lol.

An instant addition to my holy grail list! This is the first fic I’ve read by this legendary author (I think?), and BOY HOWDY do I see why they’re so revered. I finished this fic in one sitting, reading late into the night (yes, I was very tired at work the next day).

I think it’s best if you go into this one mostly blind. All you need to know is that MSR are teetering on the knife’s edge between UST and RST, there’s plenty of cancer arc angst, and they go on a spooky adventure that will give you the creepy crawlies.

📝📱 Belphegor’s Prime by prufrockslove

Another absolute banger from the legend themselves. This fic is as close to perfection as humanly possible. The way everything comes together is just incredible. If you haven’t read it yet, do it now! Shirk all other responsibilities and devour this fic in one sitting!

One of my favorite things about this fic is how ruthless Mulder is. I don’t think I’ve encountered a version of him quite like this anywhere else. His intense love for his family and his innate sense of duty are intensified to the point where he skirts the boundaries of what’s morally acceptable. He’s so desperate to protect his loved ones and fix the world that he will do anything, even if he risks becoming his father(s). It felt so organic and natural for him to become that version of himself under the extreme circumstances.

Anyway, if you’re a fan of time travel, DILFs, or characters whose greatest strengths become a curse, this is the perfect fic for you!

A s6 casefic where M&S go undercover at a traveling carnival. I love how fleshed-out the OCs were — it really raised the stakes of the story and made you care what happened to them. Such a fun read!

This is one of those fics that leaves you gobsmacked that someone wrote this for free and posted it online for anyone to enjoy. The amount of detail in this story is truly unbelievable. I don’t even normally like total AUs, but this one won me over!

Mulder and Scully’s medieval counterparts are so far removed from anything in canon, yet they still feel exactly like the characters we know and love. This fic is an absolute master class in characterization. I am now a prufrockslove stan account.

'Twas the night before Sabezra Secret Santa, and all across this website, all the santas were stirring, to finish their gift by tonight! When what to their wondering eyes should appear, but a tree decked by kazzy, to spread some good cheer!

As a little thank-you gift to all our participants, I made a special Christmas tree! Each ornament on the tree correlates to a different sabezra moment that each santa said was their favorite in an ask I sent them (see which one's yours under the cut ⬇️) and there's a little gift under the tree that maches the blog colors of each giftee 😁 Can't wait to see what gifts we're all gonna unwrap from each other this year 🧡💜

Okay… so I started reading @annzy-bananzys-corner ‘s “Snettles” as I was scrolling through Snufmin fanfics to read on AO3 back in early December, and… holy cow is it good!!!

Not only did the art cover from one of my favorite artists drew me in, but the writing was just 👌✨ GORGEOUS!!

All the characters written had such good chemistry towards each other, and Snorkmaiden ended up being the funniest to me. I couldn’t stop laughing so hard at her trying to be the voice of reason to the two lovable idiots that are Moomin and Snufkin in the early chapters.

So as typical fashion, I felt a great need to draw it. Cuz honestly, long-haired Snufkin was not something I thought was going to make me go feral but hot damn does he look so pretty in long hair!

Okay so…

SPOILERS TO THE FIC!!!

It’s pretty blurry but 1. I don’t have the best camera quality, and 2. It’s a bit faded since it took me a whole month to do this. (Update: I got a clearer picture. Sorry, I was rushing to get this out for a whole month)

But anyway, I had absolute gender envy every time I drew Snufkin with long hair. And there was definitely a lot more I wanted to draw, and felt bad I didn’t draw Little My especially.

I’m actually glad for the cover art too, it acted as a perfect reference to use but unfortunately I’m not very good at drawing Moomin and I’m envious at how @hanekdrawsmoomins draws them! They’re so fluffy and pretty!!

I definitely had to draw Snorkmaiden calling Snufkin a twink. I couldn’t resist. What I didn’t intend was for it to be right next to Snufkin having a breakdown over the overpowering song in his ears 😅 I also decided in order to differentiate Moomin and Snorkmaiden, I gave Snorkmaiden more rounder and fluffier features like her tail and ears. It’s subtle but I was pretty happy with it.

I get giddy every time I drew Moomin and Snufkin, but Snorkmaiden and Alicia needed some love too. I wanted to try some perspective which… I’ll admit I’m not very good at, but I did my best. I normally don’t draw backgrounds but I wanted to give the scenes more character and it was pretty fun, even if it’s not perfect.

I also thought to myself “maybe the reason Moomin didn’t recognize Snufkin was because he’s never seen Snufkin’s hair deflate in the water” so I drew the comparison to Snufkin and “Snettles” for that one scene where Moomin realized how similar they were. I also imagined his hair gets longer in mermaid form.. hehe! :3

I was also very excited to do my interpretation of the Lady of the Sea but I’ll be honest… I did procrastinate on it for a while which is why it took so long. I know the description said “seaweed green hair” and not the fact it’s actual seaweed but… I hope you don’t mind but I gave her seaweed hair. Made of different types of seaweed too :3 I actually want to colour it at some point but if there’s any changes I should do to her design, you can let me know. I’ve loved to get an accurate idea on her :3 I also used the mermaids from the 90’s as reference to give her fins on her head, although Snufkin doesn’t have any but I’d argue it’s cuz he’s only half mermaid.

It’s a very scattered looking comic kind of page but man! There was so many moments that were genuinely so good I felt tempted to even draw a full comic book on this!!

But no… unfortunately I am very easy to lose motivation and I’ve been and will be pretty busy for the majority of my current life cuz of college and stuff so I’m afraid I can’t draw often.

Good thing I’m on break at the moment :3

But anyway, it was super duper fun drawing these!! I’m actually super duper proud of them :3

Actually…. You wanna know how much I loved my sketch of Moomin and Snufkin on their midnight swim?

I COLOURED IT!! GONE BACK TO MY DIGITAL ART ROOTS FOR THIS!!!

Honestly I don’t think I did that great but I did this on iBisPaint, and there was a version where he had brown hair… until I read a section saying he has red hair so I quickly changed it to how it looks currently.

I also realized too late that the scales on his cheeks weren’t actually scales but freckles… which…. You know what? Fuck it. His freckles turn to fish scales. And they’re shiny :3

I also decided to make his scales glow but then remembered that doesn’t happen till Chapter 13. But hey, I think it gave it a calm feeling with how warm it must feel to be snuggled up like that on the water. Heck even my sister agreed.

Overall, Moomin fanfics have really helped with my art block.

And sorry for the really long yapping session. I like talking about my thought process on these things, and I genuinely can’t wait for the next chapter whenever or if it ever comes. I understand you’re busy so I don’t blame you but… damn you really left it on a cliffhanger huh? Still love it though! :3

Also I’m not sure why the link for the fic isn’t working properly cuz normally it would be automatic but… I’ll see if I can fix it at some point (update, I fixed it!)

the tension in chapter 8 i know there was only a proposition of smut but when it was stripped away I think that’s when I fell in love with the series because the slow burn is just everything - disclaimer I don’t jork it to that I just like the scene

The duration of kickoff chapter 11 couch scene 👌. My stomach does the thing every time, dry humping is elite, and the high school in love-ness between them 😭I’m throwing up

actually hold up let me elaborate on these above two points in my full opinion because I really want you to understand this, the tropes/pairings/dynamics which your brain births are so fucking hot that the smut scene is instantly made good even if it’s not your most proud part of the writing process, this links to the common knowledge which ihm reader preached in the recent chapter- men will get hard to anything - but unfortunately it’s not so easy as a woman, personally that’s why I tend to resort to reading cause there’s nothing more psychologically immersing and of course the point of fanfiction is we’re already in love with our husband gojo so just add a little sexy lore ie. older, boxer, babysitter and babe I’m already halfway there cause of the quality of your ideas and writing, smut is only part of the experience and it’s not necessarily the most important

Last but not least that one domestic drabble you wrote I know it’s kind of a pwp moment but the position wifey reader and toji did it in omg and when he called her a slut and when he had her cockdrunk and babbling and begging for a baby 😫✋

honorable mention because like I said smut isn’t everything: the scene where ihm Gojo is shirtless fixing the kitchen sink and drinking oj from a mug and then when he picked up reader while she’s in a measly silk gown … yeah I jork it to that😔

in conclusion ur smut makes me horny🙂 so I think your sufficiently successful in achieving its primary purpose, please don’t be so hard on yourself and I hope you can learn to find more self satisfaction in these parts of your work where you lack confidence and see it in a better light

I've run through all the different combinations of who Orin can impersonate in Rivington, in every order, and I have decided on my favorite choices for my resist Durge:

Gyldro Angleiron

and

Lens

Orin will be the first 2 you converse with of the following people: Fist Rowan, Gyldro Angleiron, Zethino, Lens, and the dying Stone Lord Thug.

[You can avoid her impersonating them (and keep Orin from unaliving them) if you don't interact with them until after she abducts someone from your camp. The only one you can't save this way is the dying Stone Lord Thug. Cuz he's dying.]

My decision was based NOT on metagaming to save everyone, but on how interesting the scenes were and on Maggie Robertson's delivery of Orin's lines.

In my opinion, talking to Gyldro first and Lens second is best.

Gyldro has cool, creepy lines and opportunities to choose obvious resist Durge dialogue options. Orin has a couple more lines after she shifts into herself than if she's Fist Rowan or Zethino at the first encounter. Zethino gets a cool transition at the end, whether spoken with first or second, but I didn't find the interaction as satisfying as the two favorites that I chose. The dying Stone Lord Thug does have some good lines, but the scene is very buggy (similar to how the Strange Ox scene can bug). You also get an additional interaction with the real Gyldro in which you learn that Orin impersonated you and knocked him out. It requires a dialogue check in order to avoid turning him hostile.

Lens as second is 100% because of Orin's comments after you tell the reporter that you intend to take out the leaders of the Absolute cult. Orin's lines and her VA's delivery are excellent when she's Lens, much more visceral and aggressive than with others, but only if Lens is second and you reveal your intentions.

Maggie Robertson's performance is 👌

As far as I can tell, you only get these lines with Lens, and only if she's the second person that Orin copies.

My favourite thing about Byler would have to be how loving they are for eachother. For example Mike is the “good” Mike with will 😭😭😭 he’s who he wants to be! They are willing to take risks for eachother (like the painting lie) to help one another to see one or the other happy 😕😕😕 (missing them typing this OUTTT NOOOO😕😕💔) also the yearning the tension the suspense all make it so cool to watch!!!! (Go wild with the questions I LUVVV THEM!)

I just read the second part to Jade's tsum story, and let me just say that the moment Jade gets caught lying about Leona's whereabouts and realizing his tsum is out to get him is pure gold. Seeing Jade get screwed is a very rare sight to behold. 👌

That was definitely my favorite part across both of the Tsum events so far! (I already knew about it since I played them in JP, but it's nice to relive the scene in EN too~)

Go figure though 😅 The one person with the guts to betray J word and get away with it... is just another J word! He's his own worst enemy...
