idk I'm just imagining Prime!Knock Out post-Breakdown's death meeting the Breakdown from Earthspark. Maybe he gets dimension-hopped there or something and now he's gotta just live in this world that clashes pretty wildly with his everything. At least his 'assistant' is here and he's still alive! Sure Breakdown is...different, but Knock Out can work with this!

Wait. What?  

Your head snaps up so fast it's a miracle it didn't pop off your neck and roll away.  

You blink. You must have misheard.  

"Y/N and Jay," Professor Kim repeats as if she could read your confused expression, voice too nonchalant for the life-wrecking news she's about to deliver: "You two are partners."  

The words hit you like a bus. No, not even. The words hit you like a bus driven by a T-Rex that flips over, crashes into a building, and explodes into a million ashy pieces. And there you are—standing right in the middle of the wreckage, somehow still alive to suffer through every second of it—while Jay, smug as ever, whips around in his seat to face you.  

And of course, there it is: that look of his that screams 'This is going to be so much fun for me, and so much pain for you.' 

"Guess we're parents now, Y/N!" Jay chimes, his voice dripping with so much sarcastic enthusiasm you swear he just got handed an Oscar for Most Annoying Human. If that tone were a substance, you'd bottle it up and use it as insect repellent. On him. Repeatedly.  

You blink at him, you're sure—you're praying—this has to be some elaborate prank. Maybe Jay bribed Professor Kim with his rare attempt at turning in an assignment on time just to mess with you. Or maybe the universe just hates you and this is your karma for stealing your roommate's last ramen packet that one time a year ago.  

But no, Professor Kim keeps rattling off other pairs like it's business as usual, as if your entire academic career and sanity isn't currently being flushed down a metaphorical toilet, while you sit there, paralyzed, your brain rapidly melting into a useless puddle from the sheer thought of being paired with him.  

"What's wrong, Y/N?" Jay teases as he leans over the back of his chair towards you. "You don't want to play house with me?"  

You narrow your eyes at him, mentally wielding your imaginary bug spray like it's a holy weapon. "I don’t," you reply flatly. "In fact, I’d rather perform open-heart surgery on myself with a plastic spoon than co-parent with you." 

Jay’s eyes light up as his hand goes to his heart. "Aw, you really know how to make a guy feel special. This is why I like our little relationship, you know?" 

"Relationship?" You scoff loud enough to make the people sitting three rows behind you to glance in your direction. "The only thing we have in common is a shared oxygen supply." 

"See, that’s the spirit," he says, turning back to face the front like he didn't just ruin your life. And somehow, that pisses you off even more. Is it his voice? His stupidly perfect hair? The fact that he breathes in your general direction? At this point, he could literally sneeze, and it would still feel like a personal attack.

Is it too late to switch majors? Or schools? Maybe even countries? Surely, restarting your entire college career as a super senior would be better than spending the next six weeks parenting with Jay. Jay Park, who has probably never held anything more fragile than a Red Solo Cup.  

Jay Park, who is just sitting there, all calm and collected, clearly loving every second of your misery.  

While you're frozen in pure, unadulterated horror.  

Your grade? Plummeting as we speak.  Your robot baby? Probably going to need therapy by day two.  And you?

I’m convinced that Lee Know and Changbin are guaranteed survivors. Minho’s sass is practically a superpower, and Changbin’s strength and intense survival instincts make him unstoppable. Hyunjin, on the other hand, will definitely be the dramatic one, leaning fully into his inner drama queen. And as for Chan—he’s a little too clumsy and honestly just too good-hearted for his own survival!

i've always thought that stray kids had some sort of paralive style attached to them, considering all the genres they've covered over the years. so since me and @paixarina have been talking a lot about it lately here's one of my good bad old music analysis posts :D you can take these as recommendations! stan paralive, stan skz <3

bae's style has always been very edm oriented, with a hint of pop. especially songs like we are the future and bermuda triangle are very hard-hitting and energetic, so i couldn't help but think about miroh.

I was recovering with my fanfic winter story au- when Hui announced that his debut album was coming out. As a Hui bias- I was living on that high- and this fic would come out the day Hui’s comeback was released. It was inspired by his ‘Whui Is Me’ Concept #3 & #4 (rocker/crooner concept) and was originally inspired by Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy by Queen.

While my friend did donate the idea- I completed it like weeks later- in shambles over him. I didn’t get any Chanhee requests, and since purchasing his (& kyu’s) fromm (after having their bubbles). I’ve been a disaster- a muddled mess over this guy. I was so in my feelings writing this…

Longest fic: 

Partners (Younghoon X Reader) with 5,582 words.

One of two the mafia aus I wrote this year. This is also my first tbz fanfic. This idea came long before The Grims but their ideas both came from The Convoyz. This fic in parts is sad, and it’s very angsty but it’s also a story of two lovers who would go to the end of the earth for each other and god I could have written so much more, but it needed to end at some point for the sake of my health. (Special thanks to Kebbi for putting this idea into my mind) 

Longest Winter fic: A Creepmas Party (Changmin X Reader) with 3,061 words. (This fic came from a halloween nightmare turned dream- but was toned down for the season)

Under the Glow of Candlelight (Juyeon X Fem! Reader) currently has 121 notes.

This is such a tame fic, considering early that month I had written what I had considered my “dirtiest” fic Blackout earlier that month. But god, genuinely I’m such a slow & soft Juyeon enthusiast. And I just ran with it. I can’t remember writing tbh, but I remember rereading it throughout the process and just being *melted* over it. So, knowing that others felt that way with this fic makes me genuinely happy. 

Most Popular winter fic: Warm (Sunwoo X Reader) currently 34 notes. 

Personal Pick:

Wish You Were Here (Changmin X Reader) 

My personal comfort kyu fic since seeing them perform in nyc. I couldn’t bring myself to write a Vienna fic for him. But Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd was as close as I could get. This song played in my head for days after trying to write a fic for them- it finally clicked. And now, whenever I’m driving, and I hear this song it takes me back to this fic and to nyc for that briefest moment. And yeah, it means a lot to me even if it's just a drabble. 

My favorite smut I’ve written is Scared? & My favorite winter fic was either Missing You or Xmas Movies. 

Total fics written:

27 reg. fics + 15 winter fics = 42 fics in total (TBZ alone has 39 fics)

I separated these for the simple fact that I consider my winter writings in a different aspect of myself. That prolly doesn’t make sense. But yeah- they just operate on two different time basis needs. Reg fics can be done whenever. While winter fics have a deadline and I consider the me that writes them a different breed bhebhea. Also thought the Tbz statistic was quite fun, considering that means I dedicated basically my whole writing blog to them bhebhea. Outside of three, Hui^, Hyungwon, and Kihyun fics- it was a tbz writing year. 

Total Words Written:

64,721 reg. fics + 24,036 winter fics = 88,757 words in total

Honestly, a little less words than I was expecting but I wrote more fics under 1k this year than any year before. And I’m quite content with it.

Kim Younghoon

At the beginning of the year he was my muse, he got ~5k fics back-to-back. As stated before- he is also the first tbz member I wrote a fic for. He’d get a total of six fic this year. I think this one is obvious (considering my new icon & header image)- but once he took over the ult spot- it brought madness upon me. In Conclusion: 

This has probably been my happiest year writing since I last actively wrote for Got7. While I’ve wanted to write for tbz in the past- this year because of the release of babydoll- writing for tbz came into fruition. Deobis remind me sm of ahgases with how kind and welcoming everyone is. It literally makes me feel so nice writing for my newest ult group. Honestly, I didn’t expect how quickly they would take over my whole life. I was so content just waiting for Mx to return and/or adding Svt(or ptg) to the full ult chair again. After all, I had just watched svt's concert in a theater & Hui had released his comeback. But once Hui’s album promo concluded- Tbz was right there- and it was history. I seriously wrote 3 other fics outside of them (93% of my fics were tbz 🫣). This has been a red-letter year for getting all my winter fics queued the night/morning before they were "due". And I finally decided to take smut requests~  Anyways, while I have many ideas for future fics (ex: Playing Killer! Hyunjae, Babydoll Line Poly au line, and possibly posting the alt. poly au ending for Blizzards) But- that comes with a stipulation. I’m entering a new job that’s more mentally taxing than physical. So, it may affect the number of fics I write...  😔 But as always quality over quantity~ So, we will see!

Honestly, I've been imagining the sitcom with the Stark ghosts front and center for a while, I think it has a load of potential. An episode I think a show like that would have is one where someone accidentally leaves the door to the crypts open, giving the ghosts access to the rest of Winterfell - When Brandon the Builder emerges and takes a long look at what the later Starks have done to his great work. The entire episode is just him geeking out on architecture and engineering. He adores the good additions to the castle and drags the bad ones through the mud, while using fancy architectural terms no one can understand, and the other ghosts are just like "lol, what a NERD"

Or an episode where the remains of an ancient shipwreck are brought to Winterfell, having been fished out of the Sunset Sea, and with them comes Brandon the Shipwright's ghost. Him and Brandon the Burner are finally reunited as a father and son, and everything is wholesome and heartwarming - until someone tells the Shipwright that his son burnt down all the shipyards on the Western coast in his grief and things turn sour from there. This causes arguments to break out between the ghosts. The more compassionate Starks are gentle with the Burner, being disapproving of his decision but understanding his grief; and the more tactical ones are upset that he squandered away a ton of investment, crippled trade, as well as rendered the shores defenseless for the Ironborn to attack, before Brandon the Builder comes up to them with some ancient advice along the lines of "The lone wolf dies but the pack survives" and they kinda make up (but the shipyards are still a sensitive topic)

Or a bittersweet one where the ghosts of Lyanna, Brandon, and Rickard get to meet their ancestors and make friends with some of them, finding peace and acceptance in the afterlife. Maybe a scene where the ghosts are witness to that one time Jon covered himself in flour and tried to scare the other Starklings, they find it absolutely hilarious but some of them are like "Hey! I don't sound like that!!" Or something angsty where we're taken through different eras and watch recently dead Starks see their loved ones visit their tombs; Maybe Walton with Alaric, Willam with Artos, and Lyanna, Brandon, and Rickard with Ned - and especially Lyanna with Jon.

I feel like Brandon the Builder would be this ancient, wise entity who is very well respected but rarely shows himself. He's a somewhat tired spirit. He's been there the longest and he was the first of it all, so whenever he rises from his grave all the other ghosts know it's a big deal - OR maybe all the Brandon Starks are a single entity called the Big Brandon, and it's just never explained.

Idk I just REALLY like this concept, I could go on and on about it all day. The more you think on it, the more episode ideas appear in your head, that's how much potential it has. The possibilities are endless.

(Also, I love the show Ghosts, in case it wasn't obvious. It's really good for when you want something lighthearted but clever. I'd recommend the bbc version, because I feel like the american one kinda misses some beats, but it's honestly just up to personal preference.)

Sometimes the ghosts expect Brandon the Builder to show in in major situations but then they come into the room and its just like...literally any other Brandon Stark because the ghosts always forget to be specific about which Brandon they need help with. I feel like sometimes the living Starks think a boom of thunder was let out when in reality it's just Brandon the Builder deeply sighing when he has to rise from his tomb and do something.

Theres definitely just an ongoing joke about how many of them are named Brandon.

Hi it's slate anon your surnames post/the replies had me cackling and i love the idea of revali having a very Rito-sounding last name. on a more angsty note I do like to imagine he would pick his own last name (as per your orphaned hc for him) for one related to flight/archery. Writing his own destiny or something

For Hylians maybe because of Rhoam I imagine their names are just (Chosen name) (Middle name only royals can afford) (Place of birth). The royal family gets the surname Hyrule because they're meant to represent all of Hyrule and it's hard to convince the kingdom you serve them all equally if your name is literally Tabantha

So Links government name is Link Hateno. And with Hateno being a major settlement and Link being by far the most common name (as the name of the biggest cultural figure that's not sacred (ie hylia) or for royals (zelda)) he has the most basic combination of names ever it's laughable. there were 4 other Link Hatenos in his division only. If Revali writes a letter to his Link Hateno in the royal guard he gets a request back from the post office like "specify address rank and date of birth please". Being named Link he naturally had a number of nicknames but after he pulled the sword he just became Link. THE Link. But you already know who's taking whose last name in the marriage anyway

revali choosing his own last name because he was orphaned makes me so sad 😭💔 what if there's a rito traditional ritual where the family name is like. "given" to the child to formally recognize them as part of the family in a spiritual sense (connecting the child to all their spiritual ancestors of generations past). and revali's parents were killed before they could give revali their family name so he doesn't have one 😭 even though the other rito are allowed to tell revali what his family name would have been, he's not allowed to claim it as his last name because it wasn't given traditionally to him through the ritual and thus can't be "his" last name anymore and it ostracizes him even more from the rest of the kids. imagine getting bullied because you don't have a last name 😭

idk like the rito seem like a people of tradition, spirituality, and familial bonds like family is everything to them, therefore the concept of a family name is an extremely important identifying marker of each rito and where they come from. choosing your own last name isn't something that's common among the rito at all, because choosing a different last name than the one that was given to you as a child signifies that you have disinherited and detached yourself from your family. even people whose families have already passed don't just change their last names like that, because it would mean that their family spiritually would not have anymore descendents after that point.

in revali's case, his family is dead and he also wasn't given a last name so technically there's nothing wrong with him choosing his own last name, but the rito would have still been weird about it. when revali is chosen as a champion, he finally decides to choose his own last name and he chooses one that essentially means "one who perseveres." i'm spitballing a little here but maybe in rito script, it's basically like. a stylized way of writing the word "arrow." archery and the usage of arrows are important symbols of rito culture, because they're weapons and tools they use to hunt and protect themselves. they represent the rito's actual lives because of this and so became a symbol of vitality and perseverance. so in a sense, revali knows if he knocks his bow and his arrow always flies true, he will always persevere and make it out of a tough situation.

VERY cute and fun, and delves into the kids' lives at home in rly heartfelt ways that hit, the problems feel nuanced and well-written, and the chars all feel so themselves. whitenoface is the author and i like a lot of their work, i'm recing another work from them later on

Briar Scion (ongoing) Idiasil – p long idiasil fic where the story itself is rly what caught my attention, and now im along for the ride. the premise is rly interesting where essentially like,,, nature itself loves silver, and wants to marry him? so nature is encroaching on school turf while interpersonal romance happens around the plot, its a fun concept! yuu is in it in the bg a bit but its not like,, self-insert or OC, so hopefully u won't mind. updates regularly!

when we don't have the words, chocolate can speak volumes (completed) Idiasil – cute, 30k or so idiasil!! largely focuses on the second years as a group working at the mostro lounge, as silver asks for advice from them respectively and idia works up the nerve in the bg to come in to say hi to silver. mostly just a cute silly story, not as intricate a plot but a fun read!

The Queen's Court (completed) Catervil – first of all, azurith is a FANTASTIC writer, and i highly recommend literally anything they've ever written. this rec branches beyond this fic, but this was my start. this covers cater interning for maleficient herself, and then delves into his newfound connection to the draconias while covering fae history and previous war, etc, it's FANTASTIC and this lore is upheld in a lot of their other work. "Enchanted" is another ongoing work by azurith with cater as a diasomnia student, updates regularly and is very good!! azurith is largely a catervil writer but i think their work is far more important than a preference for ship, i'd rec even if u don't care abt catervil

Snow Is Falling (completed) Cater-focused – idk if u can tell but i like cater interacting w diasomnia content, this is where he goes to briar valley for winter break instead of back home! around 15k, just focuses on his interactions with the diasomnia people while staying with lilia and silver, p short and sweet but v nice :D

devoted malediction (orphaned) malledeuce – of all the fics on this list, this is the one ur most likely to skip. i found this on a WHIM while scouring every existing diasomnia ship tag and was so stunned at the audacity of someone to ship malleus and DEUCE, and to write 140k+ words abt it, that i had to read it. i can't explain it with words,,, the writing style reads so differently than anything else i've ever read, it reads as a STYLE rather than simply reading as 'well-written,' it rly kept my attention. essentially, it's a ...human? au? they're coworkers at a game dev studio, they're human but there's still magic, i can't explain it. there's underground plot-shit with the magic factions or whatever that's so interesting, but it IS orphaned so it'll never update again. i'm devastated. i can't sell this fic to anyone bc of the ship and the length but i enjoyed it very deeply and i'll miss it

Crocodile Teeth (completed) Silsebe – sebek overblot story, decent length and p well written, sebek is infuriating which is Correct for sebek and Correct for someone on their way to an overblot. i've read most of magicalfish's work but i can't rec most to u due to nsfw, this is one of the better silsebe fics out there!!!

Just Out of Reach (ongoing) Silsebe – it DOES update, just not on a regular basis. VERY VERY good fic that FEELS slow-burn, it's 50k+ so far and still feels like the build is just starting up well now. essentially, silver and sebek get in a big fight and lilia magically makes them stay side-by-side till they understand each other, so it analyzes how despite their closeness in their upbringings and how they are partners in their roles as malleus's knights, they don't rly get each other yet and need to cultivate their relationship so it doesn't crumble. very nice story thus far and i look forward to updates!!

The GOOD:

Sasha

Biggest note is I don't know why the movie wasn't about her???

I thought she felt really true and honest and a great representation of the unique position Gen Z have been put in.

Her preteen disaffected angst and disillusion felt SO correct, both because at that age you just feel jaded and angst but also? Because she's right to be jaded and angsty in a lot of ways. All the stuff she's been told and promised? DONT work out the way it should

I think they kind of missed the mark on really digging into her and her relationship with Gloria and her relationship with Barbie (which is a proxy for womanhood). Think you could have had an incredible movie talking about all the ways the concept of Barbie serves/hurts women through different generational lenses. Because Barbie was useful to Gloria but was also a cudgel (as it was a major plot point, her making these "wrong" Barbie's as a coping mechanism). And we know how Sasha felt with her iconic Sasha rant, but also, she wound up missing the whimsy and the joy and the inspiration Barbie offers

ANYWAY I love Sasha so much, I wish the movie featured her more, and I thought her journey when it came to getting closer to her mother by protecting her mother's ideals and wants and intentionally trying to make space for other women (she did that with both her mom AND ALSO with Barbie at the end, where she was literally the only character like: "Okay, but what about what Barbie wants???") was extremely well written and touching.

The Humor & Style

Not all the bits landed for me, but I generally loved the pro-camp and playful tone of the movie, and genuinely laughed at several points

The Content Editting

Tbh, I thought it was smart that they were like: yep, nope, we're not touching racism/ablism in this movie, we're just cool with it. Because…there's just so much to discuss, and no one story can service all things.

The BAD

Barbie's roll as a protaganist

I think this was intentional, but she was the most passive protaganist I've ever seen? Thoughts on this was she was just kind of like…an object to be projected onto so this kind of tracks with the theming of the movie right - like she was forced to go on her heroes journey against her will, when she returns home, she doesn't "save" Barbie-land, she gives up and it's actually Sasha and Gloria and Weird Barbie that does the saving (both because they want to try and also they come up with the plan). I think the most agency she shows in the movie is going to console Ken (which…will talk on that point more later), until the VERY end, when she chooses to become a real "woman". Really her role is more of the witness in the movie?

The Mattel thing

Originally I hated this and would have cut the entire Will Farrel thing, but my friend brought up some interesting points about how that might've been an intentional dig on the uselessness of corporate structure, etc. I still woulda cut it, but that at least makes it an interesting thought experiment tbh.

The Focus on Barbieland

Yeah I know it's like impossible to solve like…Patriarchy in the real world so in that sense it's smart to limit the scope of the danger to a play world where change can actually happen in a satisfying way overnight but like…

In the end, I feel like i dont know anything about Gloria and Sasha other than what I, a reasonably learned media consumer, can infer from the context? Idk, felt like a missed opportunity to dig more into their actual real life experience with womanhood instead of saving the fake construct idea of womanhood, because then we lack context on why the way Barbieland has "changed" is for the better. Since Barbieland and Barbie as a whole is a proxy for the idea of "woman", it felt like we needed more

The plot is supposed to be a reflection of the internal struggle, also known as the "story". How does saving Barbieland reflect onto the main characters of the story, (Barbie, I guess?) Is it just that she realized she no longer wanted to serve the ideal and

This is partially intentional cause of the dolls, but, lol, you cannot have a feminist movie and not cover things like queerness, GNC, etc. Or I guess you can, but it just comes off as the most superficial white liberal version of feminism imaginable. Disappointing, considering the movie did a good job of saying "we're not touching racism and ableism, not because it doesnt exist but because there's only so much we can fit in a movie" but it at least acknowledged those things with their active presence in the movie.

i voted season 2!!! s1 is objectively the best but s2 is my favorite, i liked when it got all serious and angsty and dramatic near the end of the season. while there were some parts of s3 i liked, the issues with it were too big for me to say i enjoyed it as a whole. i liked like 2 episodes from it but i won’t be returning to the others. meanwhile s2 had lavender rainbow carol of the bells man city no weddings inverting the pyramid… i even liked headspace and BAH, more than i liked most of the s3 episodes anyway.

i would be curious to see if there’s a difference between the rj/rjks and non-rj/rjks. i feel like royjamie was really the only ship that won s3 so it makes sense to me that all the people voting s3 (or at least all the ones in your askbox) seem to be doing so bc of the rjk content. which is totally valid! but i’d be curious to see how much the s2/s3 division aligns with the rj shipper / non rj shipper division.

very very fair!! And I think you're definitely on to something in terms of rj/rjk fans liking season 3 more than most other people. I also think beyond the ships, the individual characters people prefer have an influence over which season they like best. Like, s3 was clearly Jamie's biggest season, so of course I love it for that reason. I also largely loved what they did with Roy. I have such a better understanding of him as an individual after this season and I think they fleshed both him and Jamie out so much even beyond me shipping them. Whereas my biggest hurdles with the season all have to do with Keeley's storyline (there were good concepts there, but an overall poor execution imo. They did her dirty & that is what is hardest for me to forgive!) Similarly, I think people who love Colin the most loved s3, but people who love Sam most probably prefer s2, you know? Obviously other ships play a role too, as to why many ted x rebecca & roy x keeley shippers hated s3 and likely prefer s2 etc.

I wish I could come up with a simple way to make a poll limited to 10 options more nuanced for the survey, but alas! I think just separating it into rj versus non rj shippers would still be too simplistic because the other ships influence their fans just as much? Idk! Overall season feelings

Without wishing to put too fine a point on this...it was not really enjoyed. It felt similar to S4, in that there was one absolute gem (X-Cops), a few strong runners up (The Goldberg Variation, The Amazing Maleeni, Signs & Wonders, Brand X), and most of the rest were meh at best. That said, I did make it to the end, so it can't have been too terrible!

I may seem harsh at times, but this is still a favourite show of mine, even if I do happen to prefer the earlier seasons.

S06E22 'Biogenesis' - Predicted 6/10, actually 5/10 at best. Extremely strong start! Like could have been a film start! But then...it got bad. Gains points for the h/c. Loses points for Diana.

S07E01 'The Sixth Extinction' - Predicted 6/10 but I would honestly avoid on a rewatch due to boredom/makes no sense, 4/10 is being generous.

S07E02 'The Sixth Extinction II: Amor Fati' - Predicted 7/10 and to be fair, yeah, 7/10. Some good CSM scenes even if it leaves a lot to be desired generally. Also, aged-up Mulder can get the hell away forever.

S07E03 'Hungry' - Predicted 3/10 but that was actually very wrong. A good ep, despite the low levels of our main characters. 6/10

S07E04 'Millenium' - Predicted 5/10. I Am Aware Of The Kiss. And It Was Actually Not Bad. Surprise zombies and even some h/c, and the plot was actually very good, so it's a 7/10.

S07E05 'Rush' - Predicted 6/10. Yeah, quite forgettable, but there were some very fun Mulder and Scully lines, so I think I was right in saying 6/10.

S07E06 'The Goldberg Variation' - Predicted 6/10, but given that I DID recognise the guy in the thumbnail and he's a great actor, apart from the plot being good and filled with Mulder Moments(tm) and h/c, it is getting promoted to 8/10!

S07E07 'Orison' - Predicted 8/10 but honestly it was a bit disappointing. Pfaster was the devil??? Good on Scully for getting herself free again but Mulder please listen to your voicemails. 6/10.

S07E08 'The Amazing Maleeni' - Predicted 7/10. Very fun plot, particularly with the magic element, and I'm still thinking about The Great Muldeeni. Just as I said, 7/10.

S07E09 'Signs & Wonders' - Predicted 6/10. I'm not always a fan of the religious ones, but Mulder's outfits were fun and the climax was excellent. It's a 7/10.

S07E10 'Sein Und Zeit' - Predicted 7/10. Yeah, I was right about the suicide. Angsty, but also just...idk, it didn't grab me that much, maybe because of the subject matter. 6/10.

S07E11 'Closure' - Predicted 7/10 but honestly it was just a bit...they didn't need to resolve this, I don't think. And the ghost bit at the end was weird and kinda boring. Might avoid on a rewatch, 5/10.

S07E12 'X-Cops' - Predicted 8/10 BUT OH MY GOODNESS. Instant favourite!? The way it's filmed, the realism? The acting here is impeccable? 9/10 but really close to being perfect.

S07E13 'First Person Shooter' - Predicted 9/10 and I was disappointed y'all. The concept is so fun. The Lone Gunmen and the armour and the whole video game thing could have been so fun. But the characterisations were WACK and there was a lot of lost potential. 6/10.

S07E14 'Theef' - Predicted 7/10. This was quite fun for a MOTW episode, just the right level of creepy and with a great climax. As I did not turn out to be severely annoyed, I think I was right in saying 7/10.

S07E15 'En Ami' - Predicted 6/10. This one I found quite boring, I too am done with CSM's games, though there were some fun moments that made it at least watchable. I'm giving it a generous 5/10.

S07E16 'Chimera' - Predicted 7/10. Actually this one was quite fun, kinda like a reverse Chinga. The whole conversation around the "Do you have a partner" quote was very fun. The raven really did quoth 7/10.

S07E17 'All Things' - Predicted 6/10 but that was waaay too high. Nothing really happened except Mulder getting his slideshow uncharacteristically ignored :( and that flashback-y bit in the middle that was fun for about three seconds. Also the characterisations felt weird. Would not rewatch, 2/10.

S07E18 'Brand X' - Predicted 6/10 BUT I actually really enjoyed it, mainly because of the h/c. Classic 'coughing up blood' moment, tick. The bugs were creepy but the plot was solid. 8/10.

S07E19 'Hollywood A.D.' - Predicted 9/10. Jeeesh. I had my hopes WAY too high, and I am left heartbroken. Much like Mulder, I spent a lot of this ep cringing and wishing it would all go away. 4/10.

S07E20 'Fight Club' - Predicted 7/10, but it was kinda convoluted and frankly I was a little bored. Mulder getting sucked into the storm drain was hilarious but underutilised h/c potential imo. 5/10.

S07E21 'Je Souhaite' - Predicted 7/10. I don't know what I was hearing, but this ep was actually very fun, what with the genie bit and the invisible body and the actualy time taken at the end to round out the 'fun' aspect of Mulder's wishes rather than coasting over it. There was some love, but it wasn't too boring, earning it a 7/10.

And now, it's a rinse and repeat for S8. Let the watch go on!

okay part two lol THE SUNFLOWER EXTRA WAS SO ADORABLE I LOVED IT!! I thought it was so cute that it was set up in a way where we were getting Harry’s pov and how he was reminiscing their first date! It was a really cute way of incorporating their current dynamic while still giving us how their first date went! It was so cute😭 loved the fluffiness of it all!! Harry is just so cute in this! Like him being super early to pick her up and just watching her was soooo 😭 I feel like fluff can be overlooked sometimes so this was just absolutely such a sweet little read! ANWAYS bestie loved it as always!

Okay now with Yours, you said you imagined them getting back together so how would that exactly go? Harry is famous in this so would the transition be easy or immediate? Do they do a co-parenting thing for awhile(bc technically that’s being in both their lives) and solely focus on the baby? Or do they have a little miscommunication with how their dynamic will be, are they going to work it out romantically?

In the ask you mentioned a ring so a cute engagement proposal would be cute if you feel up for it! MFT could be angsty with how both are in their final year(I think they if not I will simply have to reread 😊) and maybe they think about what the next “level” of their relationship looks like? I felt like I had been writing a lot of first date moments recently and I was like I need another angle. So I figured it would be nice to be like "no they're like really a couple and very cutesy" and still make them have the fluffy first date jitters kind of thing. Glad you loved it! 💕

Don't get me wrong, I would love to do a Neighbors update but yeah, I'm going to hold off because we're mid-dadrry and not getting rid of them till October either. I'm thinking something like DECEMBER for them 😭 (I have two outlined/planned extras for Neighbors!) and I ALWAYS have a Traditional extra ready to go (there are four outlined/planned extras left in my drafts!)

I'm kinda hoping I can do Most tbh but also hoping I can wait until October? That would be ideal. I'm trying to stockpile ideas and drafts and pieces because like I mentioned it's going to be busy in October 😭 Dolcezza would be fun too I think I relate most to her so it's pretty easy to whip up some emotional stuff and whatnot for them (although as I mentioned I have a smutty idea for them--or maybe at least part-smut 🤭)

hi i love posting realm stuff for the few who care <3 ANYHOOO db jr is not a canon concept. db and colly do not wish to raise any children because they would rather be there for each other and do not feel like they would be good parents + other reasons. HOWEVER, that doesn’t mean it couldn’t change. there is a possibility that we could settle on making db jr real..

now, db jr is separated into 2 different versions. we have the happy route (happy db jr) and the angsty route (fucked up db jr !!!!). now, i haven’t said a whole lot on db lore, i have frequently mentioned its character development regarding his identity. finding the right vessel to be in and losing the cruel dealbreaker persona over time. for the majority of its life, he’s been a horrible person !!! he did everything to get to the top and let no one stand in its way, and now it regrets a lot of it. yet, if it weren’t for WARP, he wouldn’t have met collector, so it all worked out. in the story, we’ll likely see db sorting out itself and dealing with past trauma, as well as identity issues!!! at this point, calling him “the dealbreaker” is a joke cuz it has severely mellowed out at this point. which, collector has noticed and comments on later. originally, db was going to be the big bad guy who was fucked up and evil 24/7, but we’ve opted for a minor antagonist position. yes, he and collector are still important, but they are not the big evil guys !!! also, it was planned for db to still be like the dealbreaker at the beginning, but that’s scratched entirely !!! it will likely be teased to be this scary guy, but as you all know he’s pretty silly. it loves going to earth to get coffeeee and go shoppinggg and go placesss. he’s been treating his job less and less seriously and using “dealbreaker” as a way to get around it, even though it is not as intimidating and frightening as it once was… i mean, okay, it can be intimidating, but collector KNOWS how it is because they practically live together !!1!1 AND THEN THEY REALLY END UP LIVING TOGETHER CUZ THINGS GET GAY which is funny since they started off hating each other at first. now they are inseparable. ANYHOO db went from an innocent nothing to an evil business guy to identity crisis to silly guy who’s regressing a bit and needs therapy AND HASN’T ESCAPED THAT IDENTITY CRISIS !1!1!1! and if it wasn’t for collector db would have never decided to go by “izrah” again. maybe he would have, but collector saying it to it was more impactful. also idk colly has a really nice voice LMAO

okay enough of db insanity, that’s enough background for me to go off of. LETS GET INTO SOME DB JR LORE RRAAAAHHH

HAPPY ROUTE (Happy DB Jr)

i hope yall know that db jr is a placeholder name.. that won’t be their name at all. ANYWAY this one is pretty simple and i made my last db drawing off of it. db jr is created at a time where db and colly are comfortably living on earth wayyy later after the story. either they both discuss it, or db decides to do it itself for fun. personally, i love the idea of db deciding to clone himself out of pure boredom. though, collector is scared out of his mind at the sight of db coming out of the room covered in blood and tendrils. i imagine they would end up talking about it, and collector might be a bit upset, but he understands where db is coming from and it curious to see if the cloning worked. db’s parent had a similar ability, and db can do this by cutting a piece of its core off (he is also able to regenerate tendrils/its core along with his main ability, which i can only describe as physics-defying super strength/reformation). it’s probably a very emotional conversation for both of them, since db decided not to say anything before doing it (that could be a trauma thing in part eeeerm) and they had talked about not wanting children. but db jr is much different than a regular human child, and colly can’t help but be interested in that experience. there is a chance tho that they decide against it and db puts the piece of core back.. idk !!! there’s a lot of ways this version could happen, but that is my favorite one. “so i did a thiinnggg.~”

ANGSTY ROUTE (Fucked Up DB Jr)

okay so idk what the heel made me come up with this but i am so not normal about it. A LIL TW FOR MENTION OF GORE, BLOOD, SICKNESS, DEATH, AND JUS HEAVY STUFF IN GENERAL !!!!!!!!!

at this point in time, db and collector are happily living on earth together. they’ve been completing their sight-seeing bucket list with the little money they have left from WARP + whatever jobs they have now. they spend quality time with each other everyday !!! and they have met some new friends and stay in contact with old ones. they have it good !!!!! that is until one day, maybe 2 centuries or so later, db starts noticing that its tendrils have been dying more often. usually, db will lose a tendril because it is old or weak, but now it is happening at a faster rate. and db is having issues regenerating them. soon enough, db gets frequent headaches, body aches, and a high fever, leading to nausea and other complications. initially, collector thinks db should see a doctor, but then it becomes clear that this is beyond any normal human sickness. a human doctor can’t fix tendril and core decay !!! anyhoo, collector does his best to take care of db. db can’t help but feel guilty, since collector has to work and take care of it like this; collector himself is even older now, and neither of them know when it will be his time. i also imagine that collector taking care of db reminds db of its past at WARP and how he made collector do too much work compared to it. that assistant/boss dynamic in a completely different form.. db can’t help but feel guilty and helpless !!! colly assures db that it’s fine, but is it really?

as db’s sickness progresses, db becomes weak and fatigued. it becomes harder to get him to eat and take medicine (to try and help, even if it isn’t a lot). it stays in bed most of the day, only getting help from collector to use the restroom/bathe. sometimes, collector will take db outside for some fresh air, but other than that, db is imprisoned in bed. it’s pretty miserable for both of them !!!!! one day, as collector is in the room with db, db tells collector it has one last thing to do before it passes. it’s pretty grim, and colly tells db not to think that way, but he lets him speak regardless. db tells it that it wants to clone a piece of itself before it dies, but it needs collector’s help in doing so. colly, knowing that means a piece of his core, is shocked and immediately declines. db can no longer regenerate itself, so cutting a piece of his core would diminish his lifespan significantly, and colly wasn’t going to let that happen. though, db explains to collector that it wants to do that so he can start anew as a completely different being and live a pure life on earth. it wants itself to live on, even though it knows it will be far gone to see it. he wants to create something that won’t have to go through the trauma it did and not have to live in a place like the realm; it would be a way of commemorating db’s numerous siblings who were tortured in the depths and had never escaped the grasp of end (db’s creator) and their accomplices. a way to make up for db’s mistakes and the time he wasted. of course, db believes it lived a great life in the end when it got with collector, but it is not satisfied with its troubled past. it’s a very emotional conversation for both of them, but after some thinking, collector decides to go through with it. he gets db up and takes it to the bathroom, having it lie down in the tub. with db’s last strength and collector’s help, they manage to pull the core out from db’s body (which, db managed to rip part of itself open, but i imagine collector had to physically cut into him to make more room ummm). once the core is out, collector examines it and holds it in his hands one last time before taking his dagger to it, cutting a chunk clean off. the bathroom is a mess of blood, tendrils, and flesh; after getting things cleaned up, db is bandaged up and put back in bed. he spends the rest of the time slowly healing the wounds; although he can’t regenerate his core/tendrils, it can still mend its vessel veryyy slowly (and at this point db is fully attached to that vessel). a few days pass and the core piece has developed into a small db creature. db spends a lot of time with it while in bed, nurturing and playing with it. collector also takes care of the child, making sure it eats and gets rest. although collector partly regrets going through with cutting db, it hasn’t seen db this happy in a long time.

some months later, the child begins saying a few words. db is in its worst state, and collector doesn’t know how much longer it can take of this. things turn around a bit during the last week of db’s life. db is more lively than usual, and they spend time talking about their fondest memories with one another. collector takes db to a few places in the city, and the child tags along with them. there’s also some last moments of intimacy between them, and it’s not like colly is going to contract what db has. it’s all bittersweet and fun for awhile; for a second, it seems as if db will overcome his illness. then one night, as db lay in collector’s arms, it passes away in its sleep. collector wakes up in the middle of the night to realize db is no longer breathing and completely breaks down. of course, it was bound to happen, but colly is beyond saddened by the situation. instead of going back to sleep it cries for hours..

in the last few years of its life, collector raises db jr to the best of his abilities. as db jr gets older, it becomes more talkative and asks a lot of questions, which collector either answers or ignores. collector is in its worst mental and physical state; it’s becoming harder to take care of himself each day. db jr doesn’t know of collector or db by name, but it can recognize them both. it also doesn’t understand what happened to db, and has possibly asked him that indirectly (likely, colly didn’t give it an answer). things get even more confusing when colly accidentally refers to db jr as “izrah.” i imagine that db jr and collector’s relationship is mostly familial and convenient; colly is only there to look after db jr, and there is no bond outside of that. they don’t spend much quality time together since collector is now a shell of what it used to be and is waiting for the day it dies !1!1!1! db’s passing affected him severely and its soul is decaying slowly. maybe there are some happy moments between colly and the child, but i don’t know for sure. anyhoo, one day, collector decides to lay down in bed and has a vision. a replay of its entire life. and in a green flash, collector passes away, its body as stiff as a statue. db jr later finds him and is sad, but ultimately confused. thus, db jr is left on earth to figure out its life and live with the scattered memories of db, slowly putting the pieces together on its upbringing and its parents.

AAAUUGH urgh im normal. sorry if there are any grammar mistakes i missed, this is just one big ramble. AND NEITHER OF THESE ARE CONFIRMED CANON !!!!!! fucked up db jr kills me every time. pls enjoy reading the pain !!!!!!

trying to spread more shoto love i guess! and i do really like demi shoto. it’s interesting to think about since he’s such a catch, you know? do good looking, powerful quirk, comes from money. everyone wants him. but he isn’t interested in anyone else in the slightest unless he’s gotten to know them and bonded with them.

plus with how oblivious he acts sometimes…i dunno, he just has that demi feel ya know?

Lowkey I LOVEEE this concept, idk why but it just scratches a major itch in my brain... maybe because I just love thinking about any and every character's dating habits, but also because your whole description... CANON, YES YES YESSSSS!!!!

Like however you may see him, dating is still probably gonna be the last thing on his mind EVER, and he's really so thoughtful (and in his own little world) that going blind into something so weighty... doesn't feel right for him at all.

And even though that might mean he's not all that interested in dating, it doesn't make him... not interested in being a FRIEND (or just being nice to people, at least). So I feel like, similar to how passionate he is about being close to Deku + Bakugo (also demi king), there's all these weird cases of people (mostly overzealous fans) thinking he's interested in them/someone... only to be sorely disappointed when that isn't the case.

It's kinda funny though, because whether or not Todoroki would use the word demi to describe himself, I think he's actually very explicit w/ people about the fact that he only dates AFTER getting to know someone, if at all. So it's not a secret, you know??? Like his friends know, you know, EVERYONE KNOWS.

And while I love the concept of like... you and Shoto being friends from school or work who discover this similarity about one another (and then bonding even more over it)... I also really like the thought of just... Todoroki [not knowing you and] really genuinely wanting to be your friend, and then being so relieved when you don't take his offer to go out for dinner as a romantic thing.

Cuz, not to be angsty BUT you could (meaning I do) easily imagine him as being kind of sick of having friendships ruined by people who think 1-2 outings is enough to make him fall for them... NO!!! Or even just... think he's kidding about it. So when Todoroki finds out you really just want to be friends... he's happy!

"Wanna get food sometime?"

"Like... a date? I'm actually—"

"No? Like as friends?"
