The Scarecrow/Fiyero in search of his mind and his family (The Ghoul/Cooper Howard)becomes the main mentor/guide figure to Dorothy

The tinman/Boq in search of his heart love, community, justice, revenge, power(The knight/Maximus)

The Cowardly Lion/Brrr in search of his courage he will help his sister and uncover Vault Tec or eventually die trying (Norm Maclean)

Part 2 later and that's when it gets sad :D
