Zayn thought he would never find anyone he would love as much as he loved Gigi. That was until he met you.

You were everything he could ever ask for. Even Gigi liked you as you treated Khai as a second daughter and respected her parenting style. To Zayn, you were the perfect woman he could ever ask for.

Zayn was overjoyed when you announced that you were pregnant. Khai was excited to be a big sister and Gigi was happy that Zayn was happy. Though the first few months were great and blissful, youhad entered the tough part.

"Aw. What's with the pouty face?" Zayn asked as he saw you on the couch with a frown.

"I don't know. I think I entered the rough part of pregnancy," you tell him.

"You'll be okay. Tell me what you need and I will get that for you," Zayn said.

"I am going to apologize now for the crankiness I will have," you warned him.

"And I will be expecting it."

"I feel so hungry," you pouted.

"What would you like to eat then?" Zayn asked.

"I should probably eat something healthy for the baby," you mention.

"Like what?"

"Fruit?" You asked.

"Okay. I'll get that ready for you," Zayn said as he kissed your cheek.

"Thank you," you smile softly at him as he got up to cut some fruit for you.

After your bowl of fruit, you pouted once more at Zayn.

"Hungry again?" Zayn asked you.

"It's not my fault I'm eating for two! Although, it feels like I'm eating for three," you whined.

"Once you give birth then you don't have to feel like you're eating for two," Zayn reminded you.

"But that's not for another two months," you groaned as you lied back on the couch.

"You're almost there," Zayn said as he kissed your head.

"I just want food and sleep," you complained.

"Tell you what, I'll order us some food and afterwards, we can watch a movie or take a walk outside and grab some fresh air," Zayn offered.

"Okay fine," you agreed.

"That's my girl," Zayn says, kissing your head.

Before it got dark, both you and Zayn decided to take a walk outside.

"Are you out of breathe too? Or is it just me?" You asked as you took in some deep breaths.

"You're okay. We can take a pause if you want," Zayn tells you.

"Thanks. Ugh. I can't wait till our little one is out," you say.

"Two more months," Zayn reminds you before kissing your head. "And even afterwards, I'll still be there for you and take care of you," Zayn tells you.

"Thank you."

"Hey. I love you," Zayn says to you.

"I love you too."

"Also, Khai is coming to visit tomorrow. Get all sad right now so you have put on a happy face for her," Zayn says.

"I did tell her we can bake brownies tomorrow," you tell him.

"That's the spirit."

"Okay. Let's stay out a little longer and we can go home," you say to him.

Remember when Zayn did one of those "what's in my bag" things and he had things for his daughter like wipes and little toys? Such a difference from classics like Louis getting Freddie an apple for Christmas. Seriously what was that? If he was making a joke it fell flat to me and was just weird.

Oh god, I know. Every time he talks about Khai you can tell how much he loves her. Louis sounds like he’s talking about some generic stereotype of a boy who he barely knows. It’s so weird.

(Liam talks about dropping bear off to school a such. Seems Louis tells similar stories

That’s such a tricky question, and I’m not entirely sure what kind of answer you’re looking for, my truth doesn’t rely on that specific point. To me, it’s irrelevant how Louis talks about Freddie. He could be with him all the time and say all the right things, and in my opinion, it still wouldn’t make him his dad. That’s just not what this is about and it's not what makes it real or not real... I think people get caught up in how often they’re together and the little things we can see now, but that’s because it’s all we’re left with in the present day. If we go back to the beginning though?! It was all about the gaps and inconsistencies in the pregnancy and everything that followed in the years after. It’s 2024 now, this all started in 2015. That’s almost a decade of this narrative, I can't erase any of that, sorry!

That being said, I do feel like Louis always fails when trying to show any real closeness or understanding of what it’s like to actually be Freddie’s dad. I don’t think it’s worth comparing things, and I don’t watch a lot of Liam or Zayn interviews, but I did see Zayn talk about his daughter recently, and there’s just something about how he speaks that feels entirely different and way closer to everyone I know who has children. It’s in the little details, his genuine care and happiness for her. And honestly, if we’re drawing comparisons, both of them chose to protect their kids and keep things private (despite having kids with other public figures - differently than Louis), and this really speaks volumes to me.

Louis is a great guy, and Freddie’s adorable, but the connection is just not there, and it shows. I hope this is the answer you were looking for, anon.

In all honestly Harry and YN didn’t mind if their baby was a boy or girl, they just prayed for a happy and healthy little one. 

Once YN and Harry were called into the room, YN laid down on the bed with Harry sat next to her, holding her hand for comfort. 

“Are we ready to see your baby?.” The sonographer asked. 

“More than ready!” YN smiled at Harry, who brought their joined hands up his lips and pressed a quick peck to them. 

The room was silent whilst the sonographer moved the probe around YN’s tummy. The sound of a racing heartbeat broke the silence, and YN’s new favourite sound could be heard. Their baby’s heartbeat!

“You have one wriggly baby…they don’t want to keep still for me today!” The lady joked, causing YN and Harry to laugh as they watched the screen. 

“Is everything okay? With the baby I mean?”. Harry asked, something he liked doing at every appointment. 

“If I could use the word perfect, I would.” The older woman smiled. “But I can’t, but honestly your baby is growing absolutely beautifully in there…so keep doing what you’re doing Mama!”. 

Harry gave YN a proud smile, knowing that YN needed to hear that today after having a few days of insecurities. 

“Would you like to know the gender?”.

Originally YN and Harry were going to share their baby’s gender with their families at Christmas. But not wanting to take away the attention away from Louis on his birthday or the younger children at Christmas, they decided they would share the news with everyone at the same time.

I think if Louis and Zayn ever decide to repair their friendship, it will be something they will keep to themselves, in private. I don't think either of them are the type of people to shout the good news from the rooftops. Personally, I find Louis to be the most neutral on the matter, while Zayn has said some harsh things in the past that may be hard to take back. That said, I don't find the time of grief to be the best time to resolve it. But like I said, this is something that is only for them, and as fans, we can just hope for the best.

From the little bit that they’ve aired publicly, I don’t think Louis was neutral. I believe there were significantly hurt feelings and anger on both sides.

For example, Louis said on Zach Sang’s show in 2019 that he needed “more maturity” to forgive/forget the riff with Zayn. It’s interesting to reflect on Louis’ take about Liam’s comments on the interview with the Paul brothers (in 2023). By 2023, Louis had softened. He didn’t confirm or deny Liam’s comments about 1D or Zayn, but only said that the Paul brothers took advantage of Liam’s honesty and vulnerability to extract something controversial, click-baity for their own benefit. “They knew what they were doing. I fucking hate them Paul brothers.” AND most importantly, Louis got Zach Sang to apologize to Liam. In 2020, Louis followed Zayn on Instagram for 1Decade anniversary. He has liked multiple IG posts on Zayn’s daughter Khai, and on Zayn singing One Direction’s Night Changes. Zayn’s post on Liam’s death was the only one from 1D boys that Louis acknowledged and liked. In turn, Zayn liked an IG post from Louis’ Indonesian UA about his FITF Jakarta concert.

(Side note: did the Paul brothers post any remembrance or condolences after Liam Payne’s death?)

I also don’t think Zouis would acknowledge any mend in the rift publicly, at least not now. But there have been olive branches extended on both sides. They are both veterans of the internet. They know how social media works. They know how fans will run wild with speculation… this is not the time. I guess we’ll wait and see. Thanks for the ask.

Zayn has never hidden or treated his fatherhood with indifference. He doesn't talk about his daughter because he's releasing music, he talks about her out of love for her. The opposite is true when we talk about Louis, who does use the F for many different things. Zayn even seems to have changed for Khai. In addition to the stories he tells about her that seem to be real and from a real father, not about making fucking pasta for a kid. Did people see the post happy birthday to Khai? The way the WHOLE family talks about her, that's love. Something that Louis' family may even pretend, but they have never, ever referred to the F in that way. I think it's our duty to analyze the whole context, and not just what pleases us.

Pretty sure Khai is Zayn's child. He lives next door to Gigi's farm still and has said that Khai is with him 50% of the time.

Liam however has just moved to Miami when his "son" is still in England which is a massive red flag. He also spent the whole summer in the US.

I agree with both of you. I'm trying to think of how i would expect Zayn to treat his daughter, how he'd talk about her and how he'd behave if she is his vs. If she is not. I have seen Zayn when he's forced to pretend, when he got "engaged" to Per*ie. I have never seen anyone as unenthusiastic about their own engagement in my life. It's night and day compared to how he speaks of Khai. So if he is not her father, he's going a long way to try to prove he is her father.

He seems like a caring, responsible, present and loving father to me. Khai seems to adore him. He puts Liam and Louis to shame. The happy co-parenting spiel they've got going i recognise is for the tabloids, but it does seem like Zayn is trying to keep the peace for the sake of his daughter. He's self-sacrificing and putting his own needs second for his daughter in a way Liam and Louis never have. He relocated to another continent and ended up having Yol*nda as his neighbour. He's doing all the right things for us to believe he really is her father. So as long as he is putting this much effort in, i do believe he is her father.

Winx Club: Season 1 Rewrite (Snippet)

So as I've said before, I'm working on a rewrite of the Winx Club series and as I'm writing, I thought it'd be fun to share an extract of chapter 1:

“I can’t believe we’re letting him go back to that school.”

Standing beside her, on the threshold of Eraklyon’s royal palace, King Erendor sighed as his wife repeated the same accusation she had been firing at him for weeks. “He has many enemies, Samara, and will grow up to have even more. Sending him to Red Fountain is the best thing we can do to prepare him.”

Samara didn’t bother addressing her husband, her eyes fixed on the ship that was currently being prepared for takeoff in the direction of Magix’s capital city. Palace servants were loading suitcases and bags into the cargo compartment of the ship, while the pilot and guards were discussing the route most likely to let them go undetected. “His enemies are exactly the reason we should keep him here,” She said. “Sky is the future King of Eraklyon, he should be learning how to rule a kingdom, not how to swing a sword or shoot an arrow.” 

“You think our army will take commands from a king who hasn’t known a day of battle?” As the Magic Dimension’s Realm of the Warrior, Eraklyon was well known for its strong military force. Other planets and kingdoms would trade their own products and services for Eraklyan knights to fight their battles. So for Sky to command such a strong and proud army and its generals, it was vital he earned their respect as a swordsman first. “Those men aren’t the type to listen to spoiled brats.” 

“Then have master Lowine teach him.” 

“He has been,” Erendor said. “But having one swordmaster train you is not nearly the same as getting Red Fountain’s level of military education. Besides, royals and lords all over the magic dimension are sending their sons to Red Fountain, not to mention the high-born girls at Alfea. Sky should get to know them; form alliances and gather information for when he needs it.”

“And just how is he supposed to do that when everybody takes him for that Allard boy?” Samara rebutted, her attention now having shifted to the brunette standing beside her son. “Those other kids don’t even know who ‘Sky’ really is.”

“That’s a temporary safety measurement. Once Yoshinoiya’s threats settle down we will rectify that situation.” Erenor said, his eyes too having been redirected to the young squire. “Besides, it’s not a bad thing for Sky to be friends with someone from the Southern Isles.”

“I don’t trust that boy. He’s corrupting Sky’s brain with that southern liberalism. You know his father, he’s-”

“The south’s strongest military leader, one we should keep on our side.” Erendor interjected. “And if we do that by sending Brandon to Red Fountain with Sky, then he is letting us off easy,” he said. “Christian is many things, but he’s not a traitor.”

“Well let’s hope the same thing can be said about his children then. His oldest just recently got betrothed to Lord Khai’s daughter. Quite the match I’ve heard.” Samara said, clearly unimpressed by the marriage between the two southern families. “Speaking of engagements, I was just informed that Lady Disapro will be joining us for dinner tonight?” 

Erendor wasn’t unaware of the sneer laced with the queen’s polished vocabulary. “Sky is leaving a day sooner than planned, but that doesn’t mean we should deny Diaspro a meal with her future in-laws.” He said. “Her parents will not be joining us, however, but the girl is very well informed of House Grandare’s politics.” 

“Oh I have no doubts about the girl’s devotion to her father’s lordship. I simply wonder whether we have found the best suitor Sky could be taking to marriage.” Samara said, revisiting the topic of her son’s potential fiancée once more. “Doesn’t Princess Stella of Solaria go to Alfea? I thought Sky was quite fond of her?” 

“He is, but she’s Solaria’s crowned princess, their only one at that, she’d never leave Solaria for another kingdom.” Erendor shook his head. “Besides, Radius denies anybody’s request for his daughter's hand. His pending divorce from Luna has him all sentimental about the princess’s future marriage, which he will not be arranging under any circumstances.”

Samara scoffed. “I’ve always told him that he’s way too lenient with that girl.” she said, making a mental note to have her staff reach out to the King of Solaria. “I will be attending dinner tonight, but not before reevaluating our options. I do think that an international coupling is within our best interest.” 

“Whatever you wish, darling.” The sarcasm was nearly dripping off his words. “But we will want to think about the consequences of cutting off this agreement at this stage, Lord Grandare won’t take kindly to a disruption of his plans to get his daughter married to Sky.”

“His plans to get his daughter on the throne, you mean.” Samara rolled her eyes. Lord Grandare was a good ally of the royal family, but the queen wasn’t unaware of his motives to get his daughter married off to the prince as soon as possible. Diaspro was a nice girl, pretty too, so Sky shouldn’t have too much to complain about, but Samara wasn’t too keen on the idea of the Grandares taking over the palace at her expense. “I will see what we can do about him, should this marriage be the best option available.” 

Erendor stayed silent for a moment, watching his son get ready to board and giving him a silent nod when the prince looked up at him expectantly. In the corner of his eye, he could see his wife offering her son a static wave. “Seems like they’ll be taking off soon.” He said, readjusting his cape and making his way down the steps of the palace. 

“I’ll arrange travel plans to Solaria and Lynphea for the next week. I don’t think a suitor for princess Krystal has been named yet.” Turning on one heel, Samara signalled for her handmaiden to fetch her phone. “I will have Gaston prepare duck for tonight’s dinner, don’t you think? Diaspro’s from the North, so I think she could appreciate-” 

“Samara.” 

Inhaling sharply at the interruption, Samara slowly turned her head to look at her husband. “Yes?” 

Erendor sighed as he let his eyes slide back and forth between his wife and his son. “They’re about to leave for an entire school year.” He tried to hint. However, Samara merely raised an eyebrow at him, silently asking him for further elaboration. “Don’t you think we should say goodbye?

A moment of silence fell between the two of them as Samara followed his gaze. “I have more pressing matters to attend to than sentiment,” She then stated, her eyes momentarily locking with those of her son, before stoically averting them. “Like preparing to tell Diaspro she won’t be seeing her fiancé for a year.”

It's really crazy every time the topic of fatherhood comes back because it makes me think about how it doesn't make any sense, for example, to watch the last interview he gave to Zach Sang and how he talks as if he had recently become a father and not as if that were been going on since early 2016… Like, come on… he was talking about not feeling like he was in the “dad club.” Just one more detail among all the others that don't fit into this story.

Listen to Zayn talk about his daughter, Khai. That’s what a dad who’s involved in their kid’s life sounds and looks like. He’s got cute anecdotes, his face lights up, he sounds REAL.

My second hand embarrassment goes through the roof when Louis tries to pretend.

See this is how a real dad behaves like. Its so clear to see how fake everything that louis does, related to F is. You can spot how an actual dad behaves vs how a person who doesn't have kids does

Does he carry it in his bag? This is SO CUTE and so authentic! That's what a dad does, yeah! And it's just so natural how his daughter is a part of his life and the way he talks about her. The way his eyes light up is heartwarming!

It's impossible to imagine Louis doing stuff like that, especially in the early days when Freddie was little. I remember it was such a big discussion when Freddie was around 2-3 years old about when he should bring up having a kid (the play dough thing, omg), and he gave nothing away. While when he did mention Freddie, it was always the same old story. When your kid is growing up, there's so much to say, it's in the small details and the little daily struggles.

Anyway, Zayn seems like an absolutely great dad to Khai, and it's so cute to see him talking about her! And he doesn't have to expose the shit out of her image online, quite the opposite. Can you imagine!!
