i always think about that phrase “the one”. I wonder if the one can exist. If two people can only love each other more than they could anyone else. I wonder if there are multiple people out there who could have been the ones. If fate is real, does it give us our true love? or does it give us the person who we need to make something else in our life happen? It probably doesn’t matter because the one is just the person we’ve ever matched the best with. There could be a million other people we would match with better than the one but we would never know, and that’s probably for the best. I don’t think we could handle knowing the way the universe really works, if it does. If our gods really control everything. If we make our own fate. Nobody really knows because we can not comprehend things that are bigger than we are. Again, probably for the best. But it’s comforting for us to believe we have found the one. Even if we have, or if we have not, ignorance will save us every single time.
