summary: miguel o'hara could never fully comprehend someone of your caliber; you were just too much for him. you were loud, playful, open, and kind; he thought you were that simple. but when he caught you one day after a mission, seeing you in a light he never thought he could see you in... he realized there was much more to you than you were letting on.

warnings: mentions of self-deprecation (this is an angst, for the most part)

miguel couldn't wrap his head around you at first, around you and your psyche, around you and just how consistently tenderhearted and amiable you were towards everyone in the spider society. when he first sought you out, he thought you were the same as him; shattered, isolated, and dissociative from people to protect not only them, but yourself. but oh, was he wrong. he knew your background very well, he knew you suffered many tragedies in your life, be it as a spider person or as a person of your own, you had too much happen to you all at once.

he sympathized with you in many ways, but he knew someone of your aptitude would be remarkable help in his elite force. the first time he met you, however, he was greeted with a completely subverted image of the spider person he expected you to be. you were warm, friendly, sweet, and open.

you were a little shy and anxious around him at first, and he couldn't blame you. it was your first time meeting someone like you, but you were so enthusiastic about meeting him and the prospect of meeting so many other spider people just like you that you couldn't sit or stand still at the thought of meeting them all.

miguel asked himself at first why you seemed so trusting, so eager to meet people when he heard how well people in your life have hurt you in the past. he didn't know the specifics of it because he was busy recruiting other spider people and monitoring other universes, but he knew of the events in your life, at least short, important tid bits of them; and he had never felt more sympathy for anyone else in his life until you came along.

when you were first initiated into the spider society, miguel was a little taken aback at how easy it was for you to make friends. you had a lot of people to talk to, bond with, and impress already, and they loved you!

every single one of them was captivated by how charming you were, how generous you were of your time and services, and how quick you were on your feet to offer yourself to join some of the spider folks on missions, or even just run errands so they wouldn't have to do it alone.

you were, in the truest sense possible, an angel. the spider society loved you, they all believed you could do no wrong. you were always up for helping other people and ensuring their safety and comfort. though sometimes you'd go overboard and not hesitate to sacrifice your own safety and comfort for them, you'd tell them it's okay, you'd willingly go above and beyond for the people you care about.

you kept telling yourself it was okay to lose yourself for other people.

you kept telling yourself it didn't matter, so long it was just you and not them.

that's how your world revolved, right? people came and went as they pleased, you did your best, your everything to keep them, and you'd do it all again in a heartbeat if it'd meant they'd stay. you wished they'd stay if what you had to do was carry their burdens and misfortunes. you were strong, capable, and durable; you convinced yourself you could take it. you saved your city before, time and time again--even if you were battered, bruised, bloodied and thankless in the end, you smiled regardless and were willing to do it all over again.

"don't worry about me, i'm your friendly neighborhood spider person! i'm built for this stuff, i've got you." "oh, no! i'll take care of that for you, i'd rather you rest. let me take care of it, i've got you." "i'll take care of this! you guys do your own thing, i'll do this. ...because i've got you."

endlessly, those three words: "i've got you" is ingrained in miguel's head. he's not exactly tired of hearing it, he's impressed on how keen you are to be useful and pick up your own slack plus others' work. he does think you're a bit of a pushover for that, though, which he is a little disappointed with, but nothing he can do to force you out of that trait of yours.

he does wish you'd say no or stand your ground whenever you were uncomfortable with something, but then again, like all great pretenders, you took every favor and request with a smile and a pep in your step. it was like you wanted everyone to know you live to serve, that you wanted nothing but to be useful to everyone, even if it put a strain on you.

however, when you and your team came back from a mission with significantly more injured spiders than usual, instead of being greeted with your concerned yet reassuring self that'd rush to the side of the injured spiders, you ran away when you got back to HQ, leaving them behind as you looked away in what appeared to be... unbridled shame.

miguel weaved his way through the small crowd that gathered around the injured spider people when he was told they'd all be out of commission for a while, but otherwise, do okay; he had to find you, because he had a feeling something was off about you, something must've happened.

miguel wordlessly searched for you, thinking that if he called out for you, you'd run away and hide even more. not long after, he heard soft sobs and whimpering by a nearby broom closet. miguel halted in his tracks and moved closer to the door. his expression softened and became one of genuine worry, but he still remained his composure as he realized that voice that was choking up tears and sobbing was yours.

he knocked on the door of the broom closet, and soon, the sobbing stopped for a minute. "...do you want to talk?" miguel asked you after that moment of pure silence. you didn't respond for a little while, but you gave in and slowly opened the door, your eyes and nose puffy and red; your lip quivering at the corners--you really weren't okay, and this was a rare sight to behold.

miguel's expression soon cracked into one of worry. he instinctively moved toward you a step closer, but held back in fear of you sobbing again. "what happened?" he asked you in a gentle voice, a voice that promised he wouldn't judge you for whatever answer you give him, because miguel always had that feeling: there were a million unsaid things that were so, so wrong; but you never uttered a word about it, nor cried a plea for any help, and kept all your feelings locked away behind your insincere, forced smile.

you looked down, not wanting to make eye contact with miguel... or anyone, for that matter. you tried to shake your head, deny anything was wrong, but not this time. you had betrayed yourself, your own feelings, wants, and needs for the longest time that they all just came spilling out and being released from you in a much needed sob.

you could feel yourself tearing up again, and you tried to fight it, but miguel shook his head and put his hands on your shoulders. "no. stop it." he said in a concerned yet stern voice as he gazed at you and your glassy eyes, keeping your tears in the best you could. "stop holding it in. please. i know you want to see everyone happy, i know you don't want things to go wrong anymore, but please... don't keep your feelings bottled up. it does you more harm than good." he uttered softly as his grip on you tightened a little.

you heard it. finally, you heard it. those words that you longed to hear, in the many years you've been hurt, lied to, and abandoned by people you loved and cared about; you finally heard permission to cry, to be vulnerable, to be weak for a moment. you finally had a moment of respite from all the pretending you were sick of doing.

in a moment, you went from being composed, yet red and puffed up in the eyes and nose, to a full on sobbing mess in front of miguel. he let go of you when you started sobbing, but you held on to him as you cried. he took that as a sign that you didn't mind him holding you as you cried, you never had that luxury before anyway, being held as you cried, letting go of everything you've been holding for the longest time.

it was relieving, it was soothing, but it was painful. it was a remedy for your wounded emotions, crying your heart out as miguel held you. you knew you might get sick afterwards, crying so hard your heart might break, but miguel pat your back--albeit a little awkwardly--and whispered words of encouragement to let it out, let it all out.

"i hurt them..." you muttered through your sobs. "i told them i had it, i thought i had it, i thought i could take out the villain all on my own." you murmured as your sniffling continued. "i didn't want them to get hurt, really, i promise... but i took one wrong step, and–" you choked out as you cried even more as miguel shushed you and told you it was okay to let it out.

"i... just... i just don't want–don't want to be left alone anymore... i don't want to be hated, i don't want to be talked bad about behind my back; i want to feel like i belong." you whispered as your crying slowly stopped to let you breathe for a bit, taking in a ragged breath as you leaned against miguel, exhausted after letting out exactly what you felt and held in, all this time.

"you're... so very brave." he murmured as your sobs drowned out what he was saying. he didn't raise his voice at you, and especially not when you were in this state. "but so, so foolish." he remarked as he looked down at you, still sobbing. he sighed as he put a hand on your chin and angled your head to look up at him, the softness in his face ever so present as yours became redder and puffier.

"you're amazing, you can do anything and everything asked of you, and everyone loves you for that. and yet, you can't seem to give yourself a break. you're... you're forcing yourself to become someone you don't want to be." he says in a soft voice. "...i might just be doing that." you say as the realization of what you've been doing to yourself dawned on you.

miguel pulled away from you a little and ran a hand through his hair, still looking at you, but thinking of what to tell you. "if you're scared of them rejecting you for showing weakness or this... vulnerable side of you, don't be. i've worked with many of these people for years, some i've only met recently, but all of them–all of the people here love you." he told you as he watched you wipe the tears from your eyes, still sniffling. "every single one of them, they all have something nice to say about you. but we're all concerned for you," he said as he took your hand in his.

"you're constantly taking their burdens upon yourself. you don't think they realize that? they appreciate you, so, so much; but they want you to stop and think about yourself first." he tried getting his words through to you in a pleading voice. "we're a team. you don't have to go through this alone. and, really..." he said as he rubbed his thumb over the back of your hand, staring down at how much smaller, more vulnerable you were compared to him. "...i wanted to be the one to keep you from falling apart and letting yourself forget who you really are. i know i knew you for, what, a few months? but even before that, before you joined us, before you are who are now, i've seen how you are, how you act--and i've been informed of... tribulations you've gone through, things you keep hidden underneath the surface. you've been through too much for one to bear all alone."

you look up at miguel, and for the first time, you feel something new; you feel as though, despite the troubles you've gone through, the troubles you sometimes inflict upon yourself, you do have someone looking out for you. and it's always been him, ever since the beginning.

"and because... i know what it's like. i know what it's like to have to mask yourself so nobody gets worried about you, so no one thinks you're easy pickings... so you don't hurt or get hurt anymore..." miguel continued as his voice got softer. he took a breath in, and letting it out in an exhausted sigh, as if he, too, were also sick of hiding exactly how he felt and who he was. "it's the things we keep hidden that always show." he said as he looked at your eyes. "but don't... don't be scared to show it. and if not the others... you have me." he said softly, slowly reeling back from you, letting go of your hand gently and widening his eyes as he realized what he was saying. a silence befell you two as you stared at him, in wonder, at this side of miguel; this side he was hiding that he soon showed, that he soon brought to light in front of you.

"can you do something for me?" miguel asked as he broke the silence, looking into your swollen eyes. "please promise me that when you say 'i've got this'... remind yourself that i've got you. i'm right here for you to call, any time you need me." he said with a small smile as he wiped the tears from your eyes. "do you promise me?" he asked you as you slowly nodded, with his hand lowering down to your cheeks and resting there. "i promise. i... got this. i've got you." you said with a small smile. he returned the smile with one of his own. "you've got me." he said as he rubbed your cheek softly.

and as miguel were about to pull away, you wrapped your arms around him, your bright, signature smile returning to your face. your eyes were still puffy and swollen, but they shone, even in the dim light of this tiny broom closet. "thank you, miguel." you thanked him before he could leave, your arms tightening around his waist as you held him close, not wanting to let him go. it wasn't out of fear that you didn't want to let him go, you wanted to let him feel just how much he's saved you from yourself, how good it felt to be told those words for the first time in a long, long while.

miguel was shaken at first when you held him, he... hadn't been held that way in... ever. he didn't know what to do in the beginning, he wasn't sure when you'd pull away, but as the embrace prolonged, he found himself wishing you wouldn't pull away. he soon brought his arms up, then, he brought them close to your back, still hovering his arms in the air awkwardly as you leaned into the hug.

then, in one final swoop, he took the plunge and embraced you back; and miguel had never felt a happier silence than that, embracing you, who finally let yourself show how you truly felt, and how, even if you were scared of being abandoned again, being left alone... miguel was not one of those people for you to fear would leave.

not now, not ever.

movie- I.... do not remember a lot of the movies we watched this year. The only one I can think of from this year is Barbarian n I absolutely would not say that it was the best lol. I looked up a list lol but I enjoyed the D&D movie and Fool's Paradise

tv show- gotta be Dimension 20!! Neverafter, Dungeons n Drag Queens, n Burrow's End (we still need to finish it) gave me liiiife. dungeons n drag queens also kickstarted my current drag race obsession!! I've watched 12 seasons in 3 months haha. I also really enjoyed The Last of Us bc my girl told me all the video game lore as we watched hehe

book- I embarrassingly do not read enough books! I started reading For Small Creatures Such As We by Sasha Sagan and that was... incredible. I need to get back into it n finish it!! (I read it aloud to my partner when she was in the hospital n we haven't read together in a while)

album- ooo tough tie between the whaler by home is where (hiwf♡♡♡) and So Much (for) Stardust by Fall Out Boy. the whaler is so full of raw emotion I can't help but feel it deep in my soul when I listen (it's been my go-to album for when I need to ~sob~), the singing saw just *gets* me. I'm seeing them live in 2024 and I'm going to sing at the top of my lungs and cry. I might even be brave enough to get in the pit lol. so much for stardust rekindled a childish joy I haven't felt in years (fob was THE soundtrack to me n my childhood bestie's adolescence), gave me energy on my bad days, n got me through a very, very, very hard month (when my babe got in her accident). I don't really listen to it much anymore bc it's kinda connected to that now.

food- we started going to this Venezuelan place in town that is *to die for*. omg. I eat sooo good every time we get it and get it for all of our guests when they visit!! I literally can't decide what I like the most from them

new thing- my tattoos!!! I got four this year after not getting any for 7 years- I'm so desperate for more!! I found a shop ran by queer folks for queer folks n I'm simply in love with them (definitely need to book with my artist asap for a thigh piece). exploring my gender more has been such a nice experience too. supporting my girl during her transition!!! huge!!!!! (she's been on hrt for almost 5 months now ♡♡♡!!!)

misc- I got to see NADDPOD live!! one of the happiest moments of this year for sure :) I made really good friends with my coworkers, we went to many concerts together (and I got to see merch I printed at multiple shows!!), and went to a few parties together. it's just really nice to have irl friends where I live haha. and I got to meet/talk with a lot of musicians bc of my job which is.. actually so fucking cool???? I made a lot of friends on here too n y'all have been so sweet and wonderful :)

favorite picture- honestly? one of my favorite photos from this year is one I took of all the staples in my girl's arm (she had to get 40) after her surgery.. it's a gross pic though so i will nottt be posting it lol. so instead have this cute one my friend took when we were out for my birthday :) I just love my maya kern bee skirt n had so much fun that day haha. it's actually not a great picture but you can see how happy I was so I like it :) (ps start masking again in public if you stopped!!)

I’m so jealous, the band didn’t stick around to meet fans on the first date in Baltimore but it seems like they’ve gone out at every single other show 😭 I’m so sad I didn’t get to meet him, there was only a couple of us waiting there but they went right to their hotel apparently!

omg, don't feel too bad - i'll give you the quick (edit: lol) rundown of my experience: NYC: I didn't know where the backstage entrance/exit was until after the show, and I was too anxious about it all/too excited to talk to some folks I met at Zorn@70 to scope out trying to meet them coming in...after the concert, Scott and Trey came over to say hi, Dave, Mike and Trevor went straight to the car.

Montclair: it fuckn rained most of the afternoon...I get the feeling they went in for soundcheck early and then never went out again before the show. I had a long, chill, lunch/dinner. I think bc the venue was smallish, and maybe security wasn't like....super serious with their briefing, AND the boys had the day off the next day, AND there was a jazz festival the same day so they had to like, walk of shame/fame over to the parking lot where the vehicles were...Mike felt comfortable enough to say hi to folks on the walk...at the place I was waiting there was literally just me and one other guy (the obvious fan) with his gf. There were also maybe a couple of people waiting on the parking lot end? But I bet not a crowd at all. (That night I was just like....laser focused on getting the belt to Mike....I think everybody in the band did some fan-greets)

Boston: I kid you not, it was just pure dumb-fuck luck that we ran into them coming into soundcheck. All I was actually doing was showing off where the tour bus was parked (that I saw on the way to the venue) and taking a walk around the block....and there they were! Security stopped us, but again, I dunno, maybe because they had the day off before, maybe because Mike was loopy as apparently he hadn't eaten all day, maybe he knew he was getting his Pig and Hip friends in a sec so he was in a good mood, but he said yes when I asked if we could come say 'hi', and security let us through. After the show, I definitely did not want to bother them again, but I was super curious what the band would do, so I hung out after the show, but back a ways - everybody except Trevor got into the car and booked it pretty soon after the show (they had to drive to Montreal). Trevor for some reason came out much later and straight up chatted with whoever was left, and no one seemed to take any selfies, so I kind of wonder if they knew him or were connected to him in some way??

So like, out of three shows, only at one of them did the band as a whole (and mike at all) come out and say hi to fans. And to be honest, if circumstances had been slightly different, it could have been 0/3. It feels a little shitty of me to have this perspective, since I did get to talk to him twice (also to be super honest, he definitely did not recognize me the second time, why would he?), but I dunno...if things were different, and I didn't get to meet him at all, I would like to think that would be ok...these old fucks have to live that tour life (asshole-tight schedules, sleeping on coffin-sized bunk beds on the bus), they really don't have to come over after the show. I will say, I was NOT lucky enough to get a whiff of that bastard, so like, can't have everything!!!

omg i didn’t see this till now because i fell asleep

join avenue is actually really cool and one of my favorite passive “dailies” in any pokemon game, the feeling of having your avenue slowly build up and genuinely become more useful is actually Pretty Cool! in my current main white 2 file which i started in the past. fuck idk the past 6 months or so i’ve been really focused on leveling the berry guy because having access to more ev lowering berries than just that one guy on route 5 who sells 5 a day would be Nice

i think they easily could have made join avenue a wireless only thing where you HAVE to meet with people irl or online to flesh it out but i’m really glad they didn’t because i already have my hands full with controlling two dses at the same time to grind funfest missions LMAO but genuinely it’s a nice single player grind. keeps u coming back. being able to see players u interact with and even hire them to ur avenue IS cool tho so i’m glad it interacts with wireless somewhat- i use the DNS exploit to use online features in modern day and i had no idea people from GTS trades show up until i did some GTS trades and they showed up! my friend also traded me a black 2 exclusive and i recruited them as a shop owner so they’re on my file forever :) HSJDKD

oh and the little personalization features r cute. the staff calling u a nickname is fun but the little phrases r cute too even if they’re clunky and nonsensical in sentences. i actually think there’s something to be said about letting people from different regions have phrases in their own languages and then going online and seeing other languages in your avenue as a result, it’s just a really cool feeling. i have a copy of japanese black 2 and i use it for pass powers but i see it in my white 2 all the time and the phrases r written in japanese so i just have random japanese popping up on screen. i should trade w international folk on the GTS for more Lmao it’s just really cool and ties into unova’s themes of interconnectivity and language even more

my only complaint is sometimes the visitor messages are vague as hell like the ones where you’re choosing what shop to send them to, and not in a good way either but that’s kind of an issue with all pokemon game mechanics not being spelled out properly. but that’s what bulbapedia is for babey!!

not me remembering that rudy had a full instead of a twin in his cell. im realizing that it's greater than three canons that we had this close friendship, almost more like a qpr really. i don't think it worked both ways, but when he would absorb energy from me then sometimes he'd get memories, thoughts or feelings? (and im also like. pointing at him You're A Headmate Otherwise How Do I Have All This Knowledge Of Your Personal Experience) we'd be two episodes of friends deep in the hangout and he'd start asking me about stuff from my day, like detailed questions about stuff that was upsetting me and i was avoiding talking about 😂

i also got some mems that are just downright hilarious, such as a rather vivid sequence of batman from a Super Hero Girls canon, where in the midst of fighting his rouge's gallery with bombs and incredible flips, he uh. he full stripped and started blowing kisses, and each and every one of his villains was like "😍 OMG it's Brucie Wayne!! we KNEW that wasn't the real Batman, someone just hired a stripper!"

like the cognitive dissonance. the utter denial. the acknowledgement that bruce would sell his time and appearances in bookings that may or may not resemble certain professions which may or may not be unlawful. the unparalleled memetic effect of Meeting Bruce Wayne. (the way that the penguin thought it was a literal stripper who happened to be a Bruce Wayne impersonator, despite seeing him throw bombs in full cowl moments prior)

All three of our romancable demons who were (presumably?) born demons have BIG HEARTS reactions to the Whip of Love. So does Simeon, actually.

So the next obvious thought, of course, is that whipping/physical violence is actually a pretty normal part of demon courting rituals.

And hey - why wouldn't it be? Mammon mentions early on that if Lucifer would "completely destroy" him or smth, it'd take him 200 million years to recover... from? Being completely destroyed???

It feels pretty strongly implied that demons can recover from pretty much ANY kind of injury, and Mammon more or less confirms they have much higher tolerances for pain.

They're all thousands of years old and though they don't get into it now, early Devilgrams and chats have mentions of the brothers straight up murdering lesser demons for minor offenses.

Every so often you'll get the chance to call Lucifer or someone else out on being wicked or evil (usually when they're just being a dick). And they will often respond with "I'm a demon"

Demons!!! As DEMONS!! Let them be lustful! Let them be depraved! Let them be kinky!! Let these assholes be the reason BDSM has a bad rap!!!

• either way, though, you were both outsiders. but that was about where the similarities ended

• this stranger was cloaked in secrecy. he covered his face with a dark bandana, but that didn't help to conceal the shocking red tint of his eyes or the stark whiteness of his hair.

• you were taken aback by his features at first, but you didn't find them as strange as the golden shovel he carried on his person at all times

• of course, Desolate Sand had his reasons for bringing that sickening man Marshall to his end. reasons he would never want to get you involved in.

• his deliverance of justice shouldn't come at the cost of a good heart like yours- so, even if it hurt, scaring you away from him was the safest option

• though, of course, that backfired on him once the infamous bounty hunter Black Rose got her hands on you.

• she was rather livid when she heard that someone else had gotten to Marshall before her-

• he was always at the top of her hit list, and she was expecting to draw a pretty penny out of his death before someone else had stolen the kill.

• turns out pretending to be a bartender is a great way to eavesdrop for information- and, seeing two of her fellow murder suspects chatting so pleasantly at the bar was quite intriguing to her.

• and how convenient that the mysterious stranger confessed to murder within earshot (even though she was already spying on you guys)!!

• "So, tell me, L/N," she cooed, pressing her cold black pistol to the side of your head. "Do you think that killing Mr. Desolate Sand will be enough for me to collect my bounty, or no? Perhaps I should take you out, too, just to compensate for all of the trouble your little lover has caused me-"

• "You get your filthy fuckin' hands off of them right now."

• even though he was far enough away from you that you could only see his silhouette, the rage in his eyes burned brightly enough that he was practically a beacon of raw emotion

• despite his obvious anger, though, Desolate Sand still leveled his revolver at her head with the confidence of someone who's shot it before

• and, though you were relieved to see him come to your aid, that remaining fact still scared you. the man you had grown to love had still killed a man.

• "So, what's it going to be, Desolate Sand?" Black Rose hollered. "You gonna turn yourself over to me so that I can collect my coin, or is pretty little Y/N here gonna have to die first?"

• Desolate Sand inwardly scoffed. it was always about coin in the west...

• the two stood in a silent stalemate for a while. neither moved a single inch out of place...

•...and that was starting to get on your nerves.

• so, you directed all of that pent up frustration into stabbing Black Rose in the gut with your elbow!

• she was actually caught quite off guard, so much so that she stumbled backwards and fumbled with the trigger of her gun-

• and suddenly, BANG.

• "Y/N, we don't have a lot of time here. The townsfolk will be out here any minute once they hear this broad screaming. She'll say we tried to kill her, so I'm going to get you onto a horse and send you away while I take care of all this-"

• you were very quick to shut him up with a kiss

• he was shocked for a moment, but he found himself slowly melting into it- you tasted absolutely heavenly.

• when you two regretfully pulled away for air, you told him very passionately that you weren't just going to leave him all alone.

• you'd take your hands in his, rubbing your thumbs over his hard leather gloves...

• "Desolate Sand, I... I know you lead a pretty intense life, but... that doesn't mean you have to live it alone. Neither of us do. I love you, and I'm not ready to leave you behind yet."

This is Haela. She's also my profile pic, made with another picrew. She's a dunmer who loves to dual wield daggers. She was born in Raven Rock, but once she came of age, they sent her to Cyrodiil to study and to have a better life and a brighter future. But that life didn't suit her at all, so she became a mercenary. She ended up messing with the wrong people, so she had to flee Cyrodiil. That's when she tried to cross the border to Skyrim, and, well, we all know what happens next. She's not really the Dovakiin, she joined the Dark Brotherhood and the Thieves Guild. She's very sarcastic and cold, but a big softie on the inside. Her travel companions are Lucifer, Nebarra and Rumarin (she ends up unexpectedly falling for him and they get together and bring out the best in each other).

This is my main girl Ravonna Winter-Born. She is the Dovakiin. She grew up in Morrowind, in the city of Blacklight (and, as Teldryn Sero would say, it was indeed spectacular). She is a Nord, but she was adopted by a dunmer who owns a tavern and who's also Teldryn's brother. She loves music and would often play the drum and sing with the bards that were regulars in the tavern. But she always looked up to Teldryn. How cool was it that he could summon a flame atronach?! She wanted to do that, so she joined the Mage's guild and became a pretty good mage. She specializes in conjuration and destruction. She didn't want to become a mercenary like Teldryn, because he was almost never home. She also didn't want her dad to worry too much about her. Her dad was pretty wealthy and very kind, so he would let beggars and homeless folks sleep in his tavern for free. Teldryn left for Skyrim and never returned. They all thought he was dead (then she's gonna have a really cute, heartfelt reunion when she goes to Solstheim after the cultists incident).

One day when she came home she found her father dead. He had been assasinated by the Dark Brotherhood, but who would want him dead and why? Filled with rage, she went on a quest to search and destroy the whole Dark Brotherhood. He had heared about it, and it's just not right that innocent people can just be assasinated like that. It's also cowardly in her eyes. If you have a problem with someone, why send someone else to deal with it? It's been years of traveling through Tamriel and she heared a little rumour about the Dark Brotherhood being in Skyrim. That's when she crossed the border and was caught by the imperials. Right after Helgen she and Hadvar split up and she ends up in Falkreath, desperate for some mead. There, she meets Lucien and OMG this is getting waaaay too long.

I'm so sorry for the long post. It's just that I've never gotten the chance to talk about my OCs and I love to do this and I love to write. I'm fairly new to this fandom, I got into Skyrim last September and I've had this tumblr for about a month. I might start posting about my OCs more, but I don't really know if anyone cares anyway :)))).

He could have kicked himself. He's finally seen the infamous Kaz Brekker without a stich of clothing, and he'd been too worried about ending up on a pike to pay proper attention.

ok i got a couple of things to say about this part

first of all it makes me so sad that jes cares so much for someone who dosn't deserve him. because no hate to kaz but they would never work as a couple and kaz already treats him like shit most of the time

i think this part shows who a lot about who jesper really is. a boy that grew up having to hide parts of himself, who thinks he's worth nothing but it's smart and capable, who's loyal and brave and caring but doesn't even know it himself. he's someone who feels he doesn't deserve good things and thinks he's not good enough, and that's why he unds up in all the wrong places with the wrong people. he left uni bc he fell in with the gangs, because he didn't think he was smart enough or even prepared to be in studying in the university. jesper is constantly hiding behind a mask or running from things because he's scared of not being enough

an kaz is everything jes in a way wishes he could be. kaz is secure in himself (at least on the outside), he's stable, he's smart, he's "unshakeable". and most of all, he doesn't care about others (we know that's not true but that's how he presents himself)

and that's the thing that causes jesper all his problems. because he's insecure because he thinks he's not good enough for the poeple or things he cares about. and he's always trying to do what's best for his loved ones: he went to the ice court to pay his debt for his father, he follows kaz everywhere beacause he cares about him, he offered to read to wylan (knowing it wouldn't be easy for him to be still that long).

and yeah it often doesn't work out becuase he's messy and he has problems but he tries. and he hates that. he hates that he cares so much about people because at the end of the day, that's what makes him feel like he's not good enough

one more thing and i'm done i promise

unpopular opinion but i love that leigh made jesper have a crush on kaz. 1 beacuse it's refreshing to see someone not get otgether with his first crush. and 2 because i love that it shows that we sometimes get attached to people that are not good for us, but that we can learn to move on. jesper ended with wylan who respects him and values him, unlike kaz

Since my brain is still on Deltarune lockdown here are some thoughts regarding Susie’s home life, what the ending of CH2 may mean for CH3, and how Toriel may fit into those things

Spoilers for CH2 naturally, please don’t read more until you’ve finished the game at least once!

I LOVE Susie sooo much and seeing how she acts with Kris and Ralsie in CH2 was so much fun. She’s opened up immensely over what is basically the course of 2 days and I’m super proud of her :’D

First up on Susie thoughts, I don’t think Susie has a very happy home life*:

Most obviously, she doesn’t call anyone when Toriel asks her to let her family know she’s staying over at the end of CH2

Kids/teens with less stable homes are far more likely to act out in the way Susie did in CH1. She’s actually a pretty kind and loyal friend, but before being forced into a situation where she needed to make friends she didn’t seem to want to interact with anyone

Susie is the character with the most amount of screen time over CH1 and 2 (besides Kris of course), yet she has never talked about her family or home life. Also unlike Noelle, we also don’t have any content outside of Deltarune providing any sort of lore to her past or family**

Those who are food insecure sometimes turn to eating inedible things. I’m 99.9% sure the chalk and moss is a joke but figured I’d put it on here anyway

*I’ve seen the theory that Susie might be specifically homeless, but I also saw folks talking about her saying she doesn’t want to go home when interacting with one of the apartment buildings in the epilogue of CH2. Also, Toriel seems to think Susie has parents, and as a teacher I feel like she would know. However, Susie could also have family and not actually live with them, yet again making her homeless an option

**The one exception to this is maybe that Undertale character that mentions us meeting their friend Suzy but idk, just thought I’d mention it

Second, I’d like to talk about the ending of CH2, specifically Kris fountaining in their living room and how that might effect the Dark World they travel into in CH3:

It’s likely the CH3 Dark World may be based on Kris’s home since the last two chapters’ Dark Worlds have been location based*

Both Susie and Toriel (and presumably Ralsei) will feature heavily in CH3 since they’re both in the living room, and since Kris fountained at night there’s likely little chance of any other Lightner characters joining them**

Kris clearly comes from a very loving family, and based on the things above, I’m not sure Susie does - this could potentially lead to some conflict between the two if Susie becomes jealous of Kris’s “perfect life” and loving mom

Basically even if Kris’s life isn’t perfect (their parents are divorced and not on great terms, they miss their big bro, etc.) it may still seem pretty great to Susie and that could drive some of the drama of CH3′s plot

Another option is if Susie has a difficult situation at home this can come out in the Dark World and Toriel can adopt Susie and she starts living with them :)

*Personally I really hope that the new world is actually based on the giant monster movie Kris and Susie were watching on the TV! I think it’d be a lot of fun, but maybe it’d be too similar to CH2 since that also took place in a city and featured a fight between giants

**I think Undyne has a chance to show up as well since Toriel did call her asking for her to come over when she saw the tires were slashed. However, maybe Undyne got distracted or held up by something else since Toriel seems to fall asleep before anyone comes over

Third, this is just a point I don’t think I’ve seen anyone make before: Toriel will be the first Undertale character to be seen in the Dark World! Idk if that means anything but so far all of the Darkners and Lightners we’ve seen go to the Dark World have been Deltarune specific. It makes me wonder if Toriel will be treated any different by the rules of the Light/Dark world or by the narrative of the game

ok!!! Basically there are 2 plots that converge, a silly lil camp in the woods and a fae love story! Let’s go under the cut for this cus I’m gonna be explaining them for a hot minute lol

I’m gonna make a breakdown of all the individual characters in a minute but for now here’s a chart I just finished so u know whos where in all this

(Eros not on here but he’s a forest folk) So I’ll give u an expo on both of the plots (feel free to come ask questions as ur reading or after ur done, I would Love to talk abt this au as much as possible)

The fae side: Eliana here’s from two of her townsfolk (the twins) that there are fae in the woods. All her fellow townspeople say they’re just being pranksters again (the amount of times they’ve tried to convince the town there’s totally a werewolf just outside of town is too many for them to be a trustworthy source- and as aspiring nightwalker hunters of course they’re trying to spot fae in every leaf and under every rock), but Eliana, curious, decides to sneak off one night to investigate. After all if there’s a fae out there, it’s her responsibility to ward it off from her town! what she finds though is not a silly lie from the twins or a terrifying manipulative monster- in A flower patch she sees her, the most beautiful charming looking fairy she’s every seen, all alone weaving a flower crown in the woods. He spots her, and although she’s scared at first and wards them with her axe, she can’t bear to attack him. they hit it off really quickly, and Shirley shows her the beauty of the hidden parts of the forest, lit up by the magic of the moon, as opposed to the normal sunlit forest Eliana is used to. She returns home at dawn with promises to come back the next day. yeah but Shirley has fucking crazy attachment issues and horrible death magic, so eventually one morning he does get REALLY upset abt his girlfriend leaving, like the whole tree (Thomas and Shirley live in a treehouse) is dying around him and Thomas is holding jr begging him to calm down, and Elianas finally like ‘hmm. Maybe this was a bad idea’ and that’s about where we are rn with that whole thing.

CAMP TIME: so as shown from chart above, there’s some ppl living in a lil forest camp together :) emi and graci moved there because they wanna learn how to hunt nightwalkers >:) there was a reason for it a couple years ago but they kind of forgot what it was (cough Shirley disappearing cough) but they’re still dead set on it! And lucky dink, as they’re moving to camp big Harley comes home to visit his brothers and ends up joining the camp for a bit since all 3 of his brothers are there! Camp Side of the story doesn’t have a ton of plot, mostly Harley low key having a crisis abt how busy his life at his actual home is and how everything feels so horribly off here even though hypothetically things haven’t changed much since he left and the twins fucking around and causing trouble around camp. Hallow thinks it’s funny that the stupid kids wanna hunt night walkers cus he is one, so he gives them the tip that theres a vampire in camp and they become dead set on it being Jane. All the kids like playing with Ben like he’s a whole ass jungle gym, he thinks it’s cute. kibi gets dragged around by emi and graci while they try to find the werewoof at the edge of town (sadly they only find Andy, darn, but he plays them some songs so not a total waste. also yes Andy is obviously the werewolf the twins are just stupid GDSHDSJD.) charlotte sits around crying and the other kids and counselors like to play a game where they all take turns trying to make her laugh (the first time the twins came to camp Emerson made her giggle, belle and Ben were so happy they were just sitting there sobbing bcus their girl finally smiled again, so Charlie quietly suggested they make it a new daily game because he hadn’t seen Ben and belle that hopeful in years :,) ). jr and Maria go around biting peoples ankles and collecting sticks. After hearing emi and graci talk abt town, Jane decided she wants to go visit town, Danny‘s super hesitant but the other 3 camp counselors all agree that since she’s 16 now she’s definitely old enough to go where she wants. While shes there she goes to a festival and meets Andy (17) and it’s nice :) also hallow has ero Boyf who visits sometimes and Danny’s got husb Sébastien who he and Jane visit a lot.

First of all this discussion happens one night where Poppy, Chloe and Veronica get their asses drunk at a frat party. Believe or not the top 3 girls of Belvoire actually care about each other, they just have a really weird way of showing it.

A heart to heart talk starts and the three of them start to confess things that they would never talk about when sober. Cue Poppy saying "I've never experienced an orgasm in my whole life."

Chloe and Veronica just look at Poppy shocked and their jaws drop. Veronica just looks at Poppy with a weird look of pity, whilst Chloe just stares.

After realising what she said Poppy quickly sobers up and clams her mouth shut. "What do you mean you've never had an orgasm before?!" Veronica all but yells. "Gee V, couldn't you have said that any louder, I don't think the whole school heard you." Poppy replies sarcastically.

Veronica just rolls her eyes and says "Girl, you're not getting out of this convo that easily. Now spill the tea sis." Chloe and Veronica look at Poppy expectantly, waiting for her to elaborate. Poppy just sighs and looks away cheeks flushed, as if embarrassed.

The two don't stop pestering her, so Poppy has no choice but to raise her hands in mock surrender. "Fine, I'll tell you" she says as her eyes narrow dangerously. "But if you tell anyone about this, I will actually erase the both of you from planet earth."

Poppy begins to explain that none of her exes made her feel good, and that whenever she had sex with any of them she always had to fake it, so much so that she's started to find sex boring.

Veronica and Chloe share a look and nod at each other. The both of them say "We're gonna set up a tinder account for you to find a good lay (basically the british version of saying good fuck), because that's just pretty fucking sad. Why didn't you tell us sooner, like bruhhh??."

Poppy just looks away and says "Its not like I can just go up to you guys and say 'I've never orgasmed before'". The two just nod their head in understanding before taking Poppy's phone and installing tinder.

They spend some time taking and choosing the best photos for Poppy to use on her tinder profile. (If anyone has seen Euphoria, you know that scene where Rue helps Jules take nudes, it's like that but PG-13) Considering that the three of them were pretty drunk, it was surprising to see how well it turned out.

Feeling sleepy, both Veronica and Chloe retreat back to their room, and Poppy just feels so tired that she falls asleep as soon as the other girls leave.

Waking up the next morning Poppy wakes up to the sound of her phone beeping numerous times and annoyed by the constant ping, she picks it up to see that almost all the notifications were from tinder.

Poppy is confused because wtf? When did she download tinder??? And then it hits her like a truck, 'Oh shit, we were all drunk as fuck last night, I thought that was some bizarre lucid dream but I actually have a tinder account. Fuck.' - she thinks to herself, embarrassed that Veronica and Chloe know her secret.

She sees a few messages from the group chat. Veronica sent her a message. "Poppy, istg if you delete tinder after all the time we spent making your profile look cute, I will post the ugliest picture I have of you on my insta." it reads. What surprised her is that Chloe actually backs Veronica up by saying "Yeah Poppy, it took our three collective brain cells to curate that account so you better use it."

Poppy giggles a little amused by her friends' reaction and she messages them back by saying "Fine, but if it doesn't work out you guys have to pay for my next shopping spree." Chloe and Veronica just agrees albeit unwillingly, but they know not to argue back.

Poppy decides to check the messages and matches that she got on tinder, disappointed but not surprised, most messages say "Send nudes" or a nude pic is attached to their messages. Poppy just rolls her eyes as she immediately unmatches them.

You were looking on tinder for your latest hook-up with no strings attached because ewww commitment and no one really caught your eye, except Poppy. Imagine your surprise when you find Poppy's profile on tinder, deciding that it was a troll account you decide to message them saying "Wow, of all the people you could choose to pretend to be, you choose the HBIC of Belvoire. Stop trying to catfish people, that's just shitty."

Poppy shocked at the sudden message that she gets from you scoffs and replies back "I'm not pretending to be anyone, Farmsville, in case you didn't know even I'm allowed to use tinder."

You just roll your eyes and text back "If you really are Poppy Min-Sinclair, prove it. I might hate Poppy's guts but trying to ruin her reputation by doing shit like this isn't funny."

This catches Poppy's attention, and suddenly she's curious. 'Why would she even stand up for me?' she can't help but wonder.

Poppy screenshots your conversation and sends it to Chloe and Veronica who have vastly different reactions. Veronica's response compiles of this emoji 👀, and the words "Farmsville likes girls, we been knew." and Chloe's response is more of a "WTF, I thought she was dating that Zoey girl."

The girls tell her that it would be fun to mess with you, and they tell her that she should prove that the profile is hers. Veronica also messages her privately saying "girl, her bio legit says 'not looking for commitment' this is like your chance to sleep with her and if you don't, I will." Poppy just grunts in annoyance and decides that fine, she supposed that you were attractive enough for a hook-up.

When you don't get a reply within the next ten minutes you scoff and roll your eyes. 'Damn, people really stoop so low huh.' - you think to yourself. There's a slight disappointment that crosses your mind once the account stopped replying to your messages. You were kind of hoping that it was the real Poppy after all.

Against her better judgement (gay denial right here folks, you're the first to see it), she decides to take a selfie and sends it to you.

Right as you're about to unmatch to what most likely seems to be a fake account, you're surprised to see a message from Poppy's supposed account. It was a selfie of Poppy, where instead of her usual pink fur coat, she's wearing something casual, and to be fair it's a really nice mirror selfie. (This is what I imagine) (I still stand by my headcanon of Poppy looking like Chungha but I couldn't find a good photo lolol)

Doubting that it's really Poppy, you decide to check your socials to see if she's uploaded any new images, and so far you haven't found anything. However you're nothing if not stubborn. You ask if she could prove that she's real and not some weirdo.

Poppy just rolls her eyes annoyed that she's being questioned, as a last ditch effort to gain your trust she sends another selfie, which is a bit more revealing than the last and once you see it your brain stops functioning.

Regaining your composure, you message her saying "I thought you had a boyfriend? What the fuck?" The only response you get is a reaction gif of some girl rolling their eyes. Being the little shit you are you decide to annoy her by sending selfies back, each photo more provocative than the last.

Poppy amused by the photos decides to get you back and it becomes a game of one-upping each other to see who takes better thirst traps. This continues on for an entire week (It's such a stupid competion and both of you know but you're both competitive af so yeah.) until Poppy snaps and contacts you using her actual phone number instead of the app.

Poppy's already frustrated and she's annoyed because she can't stop thinking about you and your stupidly hot, gorgeous body - oh my god I'm going insane she thinks to herself. She decides enough is enough and messages you. "FUCK YOU FARMSVILLE! BACK DOWN ALREADY!"

You wouldn't be yourself if you didn't have a sassy comeback ready so you reply with "FUCK ME YOURSELF YOU COWARD!" sending her yet another thirst trap, this one more revealing than the others.

Poppy snaps when she sees the message and she's quick to make a reservation to her favourite hotel in NYC, because as if she'd be seen taking you to her room. She gets the biggest room because she's extra like that and she knows she deserves the best.

The only response you get is a pinned location on the map, aptly captioned, "Meet me here Farmsville and I'll make you eat your words."

Still feeling feisty you reply with "Is that a threat or is that a promise? 😘😜" and Poppy just tells you to hurry up.

This is a really stupid idea - you think to yourself. You can't help but be suspicious of Poppy wanting to meet up, after all she can use this information against you. However none of that matters to your lust riddled brain, considering the last hook-up you've had was with Professor Kingsley and that was quite some time ago and you're really horny for some action.

You quickly dress in your best underwear, and choose something fashionable yet casual to wear because let's face it even if you hate Poppy, you don't want to look like a loser if you're gonna hook up.

Once you get there, you quickly make your way to the designated room that Poppy told you to go to. Knocking on the door, you're lowkey expecting Belvoire students to berate you, but once the door opens all you can see is Poppy.

Poppy is dressed in nothing but her underwear as she pulls you into the room. Feeling a bit awkward, you decide to break the ice by saying "I lowkey expected this to be some weird plan where you embarass me in front of your clique."

Poppy just looks at you and she scoffs as she says "As much as I hate you Farmsville, even I wouldn't stoop that low. Plus it's a crime to share nudes without a person's permission." You just look at her in disbelief jaw dropping as you take all of her in. I mean if you thought she looked good in the photos, then damn seeing it in real life was a different experience entirely

She notices that you're staring and she just flashes you a smirk and says "See something you like?" and all you want to do is wipe the smirk off her perfect face.

Stepping closer to Poppy, you make the first move and kiss her roughly, each kiss longer than the last and you can feel your heart pound as your nervousness dissipates and all you can focus on is the smell of Poppy's perfume and how it drives you wild. As well as how soft her skin feels against your hands and it's enough to drive you over the edge.

Poppy pulls away and you follow after her, annoyed by the fact that the kisses stopped. You can hear her pant as she struggles to breathe.

As soon as Poppy catches her breath, she says "I'm starting to feel under dressed so let's fix that shall we?" She pulls you towards the bed and she strips your clothing off, and you can't help but stare because holy shit this is actually happening. You start to wonder if you're dreaming until you feel Poppy kiss you again, this time slower and softer and you can't help the wistful sigh that escapes your lips.

You decide to take the lead until you hear Poppy say something. "Wait a minute Farmsville." You stop and listen because no matter how sexually frustrated you might be at the moment, consent is always important.

You wait patiently for her to start talking and she says "Don't make fun of me, but I've never known what an orgasm feels like." You can tell that she's flustered by the way she looks away and refuses to make eye contact.

Poppy notices you and she's about to run off again until you catch her wrist in your hand. "Poppy please look at me." you plead and she doesn't budge as she tries to get away from your grip.

Seeing that she can't outrun you considering you're holding onto her she just sighs and looks at you. Her face is covered in tears and you use your other hand to wipe them away.

"You know after you called me babe in the car, I was so happy because I thought that it meant that we were dating, but I guess I was just another girl for you to fuck." Poppy says and your heart breaks.

"I thought that you didn't like me that way, so I quickly denied that we were dating. I do like you Poppy, but you never made it clear that we were in a relationship. Though to be fair I should have tried to clear things up too. I guess we're both idiots huh?" You say as you hold her face between your hands.

Leaning in you capture Poppy's lips and she eagerly kisses you back, happy to resolve the misunderstanding.

In which Roman opens a tattoo parlor for two good reasons, and one really dumb one.

• So one day The Boys are just talking and Roman mentions that his failed attempt at piercing his ears

• To which Virgil goes “Greta tried to do that to me, but it failed even more spectacularly.”  

• “Wait how do you even pierce fae ears? Doesn’t the needle, y’know, burn?” 

• “Copper?” 

• “Oh yeah I didn’t even consider that.” 

• “Well it’s not like we could have it done regardless,” Logan points out, “We aren’t going to find a shop with tools made of pure copper.”

• “Well how do you know that, though? Have you even looked?” Patton asks

• “Yes.” 

• “Oh. Wait, why?”

• “I was just looking to see if it was possible to get a tattoo.”

• And then they ask Logan what tattoo he would even get and he says that he didn’t really know, but it definitely would be some sort of flower. He also points out that it doesn’t matter anyway, since it would be impossible. 

• But once again, Logan underestimated just how big of a simp Roman Gage is. 

• So Roman has been thinking about what kind of job he would want. He’s certain a desk job would kill him. He really would like a job that lets him move around all day and put his artistic skills to work, y’know?

• It wasn’t until this conversation that he realized it. 

• “I think I wanna become a tattoo artist!” He announces.

• “Oh, and would this have anything to do with our conversation the other day?” Logan asks.

• “No- I mean yes- or, uh, kind of? I was thinking about what kind of job I would want, and then after the conversation it just sort of… hit me.” Roman said, entirely too fast, pacing as he spoke.

Nicole was glowing.

She was dancing with her girlfriend on the center of the dance floor. Her hair a mess and her smile face-splitting. When midnight struck as she kissed Fyra, Nicole realised she was the happiest she had ever been.
