omegaverse batfamily is great and I've read so many of those platonic fics, but imagine a universe where it's just omega!Bruce wandering around screaming "NO!" every time a random pup pops up and tries to follow him home. he doesn't want to nest with them. he has 0 maternal instincts. he growls when they come near him. that doesn't seem to matter, they still want to nest with him. lonely pups see this energy from far away and say oh yeah, that's who I want to live with. that omega over there who knocked out all of that guy's teeth with one hit. he looks strong.

“. . . Superboy,” Red Tornado says without a single change in intonation. “Are you injured?” 

“. . . m’presentin’,” Kon mumbles, sinking in on himself after all. Red Tornado doesn’t say anything. Just–looks at him. Kon can’t even tell if he’s really looking at him, or . . . or staring, or . . . 

“Ah,” Red Tornado says after a long moment, taking a moment to look around the garage. Kon barely represses a cringe. “And you have chosen to do that . . . in the garage?” 

Kon feels even more self-conscious, and tightens his grip on the folded-up T-shirt in his lap. He–that’s not–he– 

“Didn’t wanna do it in a lab,” he blurts, and then just feels stupid. “I mean–like, it’s not like–I can just–I can–go, s-sorry, I–” 

He doesn’t wanna go, and feels like he’s about to panic as soon as he realizes he’s said he would, said he’d leave and–and he doesn’t–he doesn’t know where he’d even–and he’d have to leave everyone’s stuff if he left, right, and–and then– 

And he'd have to leave his–his nest, too.

It's not even . . . not even a good nest, but . . . but he . . .

“Ah,” Red Tornado says again, real carefully, and Kon tightens his grip on Cassie’s T-shirt again and tries not to shrink in on himself. He’s–he’s not–he isn’t doing anything wrong. Isn’t doing anything he’s not–not allowed to do. 

. . . aside from taking a bunch of stuff for his nest that he didn’t actually ask anyone if he could take, and not actually asking if it was okay to come to the cave for something like this or to distract the Super-Cycle or . . .

Nesting, scenting, purring, scruffing... A lot of animalistic behaviours have been attributed to omegaverse characters. But there's one I've never seen used, and that's a shame. Have any of you heard about... Kneading?

It's something kittens do with their mums, but older cats often do that with their favourite humans or soft toys and blankets!

It's associated with nest-making and scenting. Famous omegaverse things!

Pups could do that with their parents! Omegas (and other nest-makers) could do that with their nests! And everyone could give friendly little massages to their friends!

newborn rituals

it should be clear by this point that much of my omegaverse anthropology and sociology is concerned with the rituals and practices surrounding packs and families. i have a particular interest in parenting in the omegaverse. while most familial rituals take place in packs, childbirth and newborn rituals tend to exist between pairs first, before expanding to include the pack.

in this post, i will discuss rituals surrounding the birth of a new pup. this post will concern itself primarily with a-o and b-o pairs, and i will note any observations on o-o and a-b pairs where relevant. to use neutral language, i will use the word ‘dam’ to refer to the childbearing omega or beta, and ‘sire’ to refer to the pup’s other parent regardless of dynamic. of course, each birth is unique, but this post will describe the ideal scenario.

end of pregnancy

pregnant people tend to scent mark pack members and soak (the practice of covering oneself in items heavily marked in packmates’ scents) frequently. just before birth, behavior tends to be similar to pre-heat, with strong drives for physical contact, emotional disregulation, and fatigue reported by nearly 87% of dams.

historically, packs would bathe less frequently in the weeks before birth in order to thoroughly mark their dens with pack scent. packs affiliated with return-to-nature movements have resurrected the tradition in the past decade, but most packs tend use unscented hygiene products to keep their scents unadulterated.

a pregnant omega’s partner, regardless of dynamic, becomes more protective through the pregnancy’s duration, and this protective instinct grows exponentially in the weeks and days prior to birth. the drive for physical contact tends to strengthen. bonded pairs tend to spend more time in their nest with the pup’s bedding included as nesting material.

in labor

the pair takes birthing classes provided by local health departments, birthing centers, and community groups. religious communities may also have birth rituals for which classes are necessary; but religious birth classes may not cover the medical aspect as thoroughly.

during early labor, the dam may feel restless and lethargic in waves. the sire and/or pack encourages rest and light, gentle activity to encourage labor progress.

during active labor, the sire focuses on the dam’s comfort. everyone is different, but almost 90% of omegas tend to want the sire present in the room. betas tend to feel less strongly, with a little more than 21% of betas stating that they would want to deliver the pup with support from someone other than the pup’s sire. among those who prefer to have the pup’s sire present, there is an almost even split between those who prefer to have the sire by their side comforting them (52%) and those who prefer to have the sire assisting with the birth and receiving the pup (48%).

post-birth

immediately after the pup is delivered, they are placed directly on their dam’s chest or abdomen. with multiple births, the pups are arranged to have as much contact with their dam’s skin as possible.

this time is primarily for the dam and pup to connect. eventually, medical staff will need to retrieve the pup to clean them and look them over, and it is not uncommon to see sires—especially alphas—following closely behind the medical staff and performing self-soothing behaviors like growling softly, shifting from foot to foot, and clenching/unclenching their fists. these displays are an effort to vent the instinctive aggression/drive to return the pup to their dam.

some cultural traditions require the sire to carry the pup back to the dam after they have been bathed, and some dictate that for the sire to touch the newborn at this stage is bad luck. others place no importance on the sire handling the newborn at this state and leave it up to personal preference. usually, hospitals will have a record of which the parents prefer.

finally, the pair is given privacy with their pups. in larger hospitals, this usually means moving to a shared recovery room with a number of other new parents and pups. it is not advised for more than three groups to occupy one room, as too large a space tends to make new sires feel unsafe/aggressive, and too small a space leads to territorial aggression.

wealthier individuals and those who opt for birthing centers will be led to a private room or suite, and those who opt for home births will retreat to their nest.

presenting the pup

at this stage, the pup is presented to the sire. at this point, most cultural restrictions on handling the newborn are lifted.

in beta dams, this practice is adopted as a cultural norm rather than instinctive drive, and may simply constitute displaying the pup and having the sire scent mark them to ‘claim’ them.

in omegas, presentation of the pup is an instinctive drive. omegas tend to have less access to verbal language in the hours after birth, and rely on calls and behaviors like huffing, whining, nuzzling, and purring to express their emotional state. when displaying their pup to their mate, omegas tend to exaggeratedly scent mark the pup in request, nosing and nuzzling at the pup’s hair and cheeks until the pup’s sire claims them. this is a display of acceptance.

when the sire does not accept the pup, whether because they do not want the pup or because they are not present to claim them, the dam can experience significant distress. they may present the pup several times in hopes of the sire finally claiming the pup, and may experience depression or anxiety as a result. in cases where the sire is absent, it is recommended that the dam bring another friend, family member, or packmate to claim the pup instead. there are no negative health outcomes associated with a pup being claimed by a packmate rather than their absent biological sire.

in historical cases of adoption, the so-called subservient partner would claim the child first, then present them to the so-called dominant partner (e.g. the omega claims the child, then presents them to the alpha). some individuals and cultures maintain that practice, but typically when a child is adopted, the agency or biological dam presents them to both parents rather than one to another.

at this stage, omegas and their partners tend to nest and rest, and the pup has their first meal.

after dam, sire, and pup have recovered some, the pup is presented to their pack for the first time, and the pack scent marks the pup to welcome them into the family.

Any fluffy pup headcanons?

Sure. Some of these might be repeats, lol. If they are, my bad.

Build-A-Bear, or similar stores, are really popular for young pups. The reason is that scent packets their parents can scent can be added in. So you'll see a lot of pups snuggling up with their stuffies when they miss their parents.

Parents lose their pups in the house because they fall asleep in the most random but coziest places.

It is a common phenomenon that pups form packs in school in their classes. They often move to the next grade as a pack if this happens.

Pups, around toddler age, pull a fainting goat/possum whenever they get too startled out of range of their parents. Cue their parents rousing them away with cuddles.

Pups are big cuddlers. Whenever there's a chance to cuddle someone they like it's free real estate.

A lot of people in the Omegaverse are sentimental, so the toys you see pups have come from their parents. Same goes for blankets.

Pups are very considerate without trying to be. They have a higher emotional intellect than that of irl children. They can understand quick. (This is specific to the biology and evolution of OV)

Siblings scent one another is so cute to me. They are out bonding and just hug a little, "Don't go too far."

I'm sorry, but pups on the baby leashes are so funny to me. In my headcanon there tend to be a lot of multiples and thinking of parents with a haul of kids is so silly.

Pups are always doing little crafts to give to their parents or favorite pack members. Just imagine their little backpacks filled with different drawings and macaroni art? I'm crying.

Lil habit Headcanons

Alphas love wearing socks. They’re naturally quite cold, so socks help keep the warmth within.

Omegas naturally will try to make their hair look a bit shaggy. Just because it makes their heads feel cooler as omegas are naturally warm

Because of Betas’ sensitivity to smell, they scrunch their noises often, especially to newer smells

Alphas are very good at climbing trees due to their need to scent above spaces

Omegas are actually the best swimmers out of the dynamics and many are inclined to water!

Betas have a knack for walking for hours and hours without needing to stop

Omegas talk with their hands a lot

Alphas nose a lot of things, even more so than Betas and their whole thing is their noses!

Alphas are natrually docile at times of rest and in this state they usually will be like a golden retriever

Pups blow their cheeks up natrually to try and appear more threatening

Betas teeth are the most sensitive and so you’ll often see them taking more careful bites than the other dynamics

Omegas are more often likely to chirp and call at random things because it’s easier than talking

Alphas feet are quite heavy when they walk and many are self conscious about that

Pups whenever they rub noses with individuals (nose tapping) will often remember the distinct motion of that person. This is because of paternal/maternal bonding

Steve's an omega. Omegas can't really get “fancy” jobs. So he ends up as a cleaner. He loves it. Loves seeing the before and after. And the best of it all is that he doesn't have any anxiety from the job.

He's called to clean a man's house who had an accident and can't clean after himself until he gets better and it's been several weeks and the house is dirty.

The alpha that lives there is called Eddie and he is super embarrassed. Steve assures him, that there's nothing to be embarrassed about. And he goes to clean. Eddie keeps him company in the bedroom, because that's where he's lying in bed. He never shuts up. Even when Steve can see the pain in his eyes and behind his smile.

There's a lot of take out boxes and just overall mess, but Steve definitely saw worse. It still takes him 8 hours to get the flat clean, but the result is so worth it. He even manages to do some laundry.

Steve leaves feeling accomplished and happy. 

It’s days later and he can't stop thinking about Eddie. The alpha is funny and kind and he tells good stories and Steve wonders whether he's getting enough food and if his place is clean or not.

A week later Eddie calls him again asking for another cleaning. 

Steve's excited. He even cooks lasagne and takes two portions with him to feed Eddie.

The flat doesn't need much this time. Just some bathroom cleaning, laundry and wiping down the floors and counters.

Eddie's really grateful for the meal. He's complimenting it the whole time he's eating it.

Steve's heart is full, providing food for Eddie makes his chest warm. His inner omega chirping.

Eddie's doing better now, walking around slowly and Steve's a bit sad he won't see him again. It truly seems like there won't be another need for a cleaning next week.

A few weeks later Steve's in a grocery store stocking up on some supplies. When a familiar voice calls to him.

It's Eddie. He looks and smells amazing. Steve can't help but smile. Eddie opens his arms and Steve gladly accepts the hug.

Eddie immediately inviting him over, talking about some pups that are supposed to stop by for a few hours to play DND, but that he’s free after. He has stars in his eyes even more so when Steve says he knows what DND is.

Steve accepts the invitation. Says he needs to drive his pups somewhere and then come for them but he’ll be there right when he can.

Just need them falling head over heels for each other.

HI- *coughs* well, they aren’t exactly headcanons, just ideas I have that I wanna chat about.

I’m on a big Omega!Bruce kick so here they are. (these can or can’t be connected but I do love the idea of them being connected)

1. Brucie Wayne is a known Omega, one that flits from date to date. The thing is, Batman is known as an omega too. This time he’s the embodiment of an Omegan Mom protecting their nest Territory from all threats. Like Omegas used to do in the Olden Times™️, feral behavior and scenting is common >:3

2. A/B/O Dynamics don’t actually exist outside Gotham. Sure, some Gothamites have moved out so A/B/O is known, but isn’t seen outside Gothamites.

So when Dick Grayson came to Gotham he was very confused and didn’t really understand what was going on.

When Bruce eventually scoops him up and brings him home, Dick is even more confused. Atleast in Juvie the A/B/O behaviors were stifled except for posturing, but now outside of Juvie? In the home of an Omega? He’s gonna get the full brunt of Bruce both fussing over him and trying his best to not cross the line of Bruce being his Pack Guardian and not Pack Omega. (Either way, for Dick it’s very much smothering)

It doesn’t click for Bruce or Alfred until Bruce comes sulking to Alfred about his pup being broken and not even accepting being scented! Doesn’t Dick want to feel safe??? No one’s going to touch Dick if he’s smothered in Wayne Scent!!! (Maybe eventually Dick gets startled when he starts to instinctively responding as a pup would/is able to smell scents/feel pack bonds)

3. When Jason gets tossed into the Lazarus pit, it actually repairs his pack bonds. Sure, it’s not perfect, Jason can’t actually reach out through the bonds to respond- but he can feel his Pack’s love, not to mention their desperation to get him back as soon as they realize Jay’s bonds are back. (Talia, meanwhile, is still trying to convince Jay that Bruce doesn’t love him and how he replaced him, but that doesn’t quite work as Jason can feel his Pack’s love- not to mention the absolute adoration coming from the newest, weakest, and youngest link in the pack)

4. And finally four- One of the Robins vanish from the Teen Titans for quite a bit- and when they come back, they’re questioned on where they went. Robin sighs and just says Batman was being broody again, and the Teen Titans just think that Batman was brooding.

In actuality, the Robin had to deal with Bruce being broody in the chicken sense. AKA, “You Are My Child And I Will Keep You In My Nest And Focus Entirely On You And Your Well-being. ..What do you mean taking care of myself? I have to take care of my PUP!”

I absolutely adore all of this. Love the idea of it being a Gotham thing because Gotham is just Like That. Like there's so many curses and magic and who knows how many chemicals that they're like, still human but also just built different.

Gosh, if heats are a thing I like to think they're more platonic. Just, fussing over pack members and being the Broodiest Thing Ever with every family member and will get Upset if one tries to leave the Nest where they are Safe and can be Taken Care Of.

Pfft, the poor Justice League are not prepared for Batman to get broody on a mission and force them all to take care of themselves with no context. They're not his pack, but well, they have fought together and they're sort-of friends, depending on the timeline.

Poor Damian is going to get smothered, Bruce is going to get Very broody the moment Jason returns, and with Another Pup. Tim & Dick get yoinked back from the Titans Tower to be smothered and snuggled and absolutely covered in the family's scent.

Absolutely love the idea of them learning how to be a pup and pack together and am vibrating in utter glee at all of this.

Omegaverse Lore: Pups

Pups

Pups are either alphas or omegas from foetus to 17 years old. They can be referred to as a specific on Alpha pup or Omega pup. Pups are born either an omega or an alpha but don’t reach maturity or have their first heat or rut till the age of 18.

Pup Sounds

After infancy, when they can just cry, a pup can make a series of yip like noises separate from regular baby babble. These noises signal to parents or family members how the pup is feeling for example if they are uncomfortable, they will have a yip that sounds vastly different than the one they make when they are elated and wildly happy. Each pup has their own unique noises, though siblings typically end up sounding alike.

Pup Nests

A pup’s nest is typically a mess of random soft objects that they have demanded their parent scent. The skill in making a nest develops over time until maturity where they will make a proper den if there an alpha or a proper nest if there an omega.

Nests for pups are a safe cozy place for naps or to go when there upset and overwhelmed. Though, they typically go to their parents for comfort or even go to the omega parent’s nest. Sometimes that isn’t an option or if they are in trouble with there parent’s the nest is where they will go. They also make a beeline for the nest when they are sick.

First 1k of the 5k I promised y'all as a thank-you for helping me out with that car insurance bill behind the cut; “YJ packs up and gets pupped”. (( chrono || non-chrono ))

He’d cry a lot harder, probably, but–no, he wouldn’t mind. Like . . . literally zero percent would he mind . . . mind anyone doing that for him. Even if Red Tornado only smells like metal and wires and machinery and, like, a little bit of clumsy scenting from Traya and maybe an even littler, subtle bit of it from, like–Kathy . . . 

Kon feels like an asshole for thinking it, but a dude who is a literal machine and doesn’t even have a designation or pheromones having, like–having even estranged packmates when he doesn’t even . . . when he’s never actually . . . 

Even in Hawaii, he didn’t have a pack. Like–Rex and Roxy had their family pack, and Tana had her family pack, and Dubbilex is a null and totally uninterested in packing up with anybody, which sometimes some shitty part of Kon’s wondered if that’s, like–if that’s why Cadmus picked Dubbilex to be his stupid fake “chaperone” or . . . whatever. Because Dubbilex–Dubbilex wouldn’t ever get too–too– 

Kon’s pretty fucking positive that Dubbilex doesn’t really think of him the way he’s sometimes wished the guy would either. And Roxy–Roxy’s the closest thing he’s ever had to a sibling unless he counts Match, who literally thinks he’s just a shitty prototype and nothing else, but she wasn’t–she wasn’t his pack sibling or anything like that. And even if she had been, he doesn’t even know where she is now; hasn’t even seen her in months. More months than he even actually remembers it being, since he spent a real significant portion of that time, like–literally out of his mind on gross fucked-up amnesia drugs that made him literally feral, so . . . 

And it’s not like it’s not, like–public, that he’s back and currently working for Cadmus and rolling with Young Justice and all that. If Roxy or Tana or anybody wanted to find him . . . they could find him, if they wanted to. 

But they haven’t. 

He misses Hawaii so bad right now. Like . . . all the time, really. But especially right now. 

“Then I will do it,” Red Tornado says. It sounds the same exact way he just said it, like he’s just replaying a recording or something. Like he saved a copy of it the first time, because he was already planning to say it again. 

Kon is definitely gonna be mortified about this later, he thinks as he scrubs the sleeve of his jacket across his wet eyes. 

“Okay,” he manages. “Uh–okay. Uh. Thanks.” 

He–he could use more stuff to nest with, definitely, and if Red Tornado brings it he won’t have to leave his nest for it, and like . . . the food and drinks or whatever wouldn’t hurt either, obviously. He didn’t think to get anything like that ready while he was distracted looking for stuff with everybody’s scents to nest with and when the Super-Cycle offered him a nesting pit to just–when the Super-Cycle made him a nesting pit in itself to use–well, like. Then he hadn’t really cared, after that. Like . . . that had not been a thing he was worried about, after that. So . . . so if Red Tornado doesn’t mind getting him some of that stuff before he goes . . . wherever he goes to, like, hang out when he’s on his own, well . . . like, that’d be . . . that’d be . . . 

Nice, Kon admits to himself, though that’s embarrassing to think even when he’s already all overemotional and weird anyway. 

But–but it would be. Nobody’s . . . nobody’s gonna come “attend” him, or even just . . . just be here with him, so . . . so it’d be nice, if Red Tornado would . . . would get him a couple things, and he could . . . could pretend like . . . like somebody–like he’d had somebody who– 

Red Tornado he guesses does count as somebody who’d, like, “attend” him a little, but like . . . not like a packmate would. Like . . . in a pack, somebody does . . . “attend” people who’re presenting in it. Somebody–stays, at least. 

Kon guesses the Super-Cycle’s technically volunteered to do that, so like . . . so that’s already better than he thought he was gonna get. And he did find everybody’s scents–or at least, almos everybody’s scents and Robin’s blockers–so if Red Tornado gets him more stuff to nest with too . . . 

That’s–definitely better than he thought he was gonna get, yeah. 

“Is there anyone I will need to make sure the security measure will allow entry to the base?” Red Tornado asks, and Kon–startles, a little. 

“Uh–what?” he asks stupidly, not understanding what he means. What’s . . . ? 

Red Tornado tilts his head, very slightly. 

“To attend to you,” he says. “Did you invite anyone without prior security clearance, or are they a member of the team?” 

“I–they’ve got packs,” Kon says reflexively, too confused to bite it back. But . . . “Like . . . they’ve all got–packs. And, like–school and shit, anyway. I wouldn’t . . . I wouldn’t bug ‘em with this.” 

He doesn’t even know if . . . like, why even would they come, if he actually . . . 

Red Tornado’s expression doesn’t change, obviously. Like, his expression is literally physically incapable of changing. He doesn’t even adjust the tilt of his head or shift his center of balance or–anything at all, really. Doesn’t even make that electric humming fridge-compressor sound again. 

Kon suddenly feels like something about him just changed, though. 

“I see,” Red Tornado says. “Who will I need to provide security clearance for, then?” 

“Um,” Kon says, and tries not to cringe. “You–don’t. It’s–fine. Like, I don’t–it’s fine. I didn’t, like . . . call anybody, or anything. I’m just gonna, you know–crash for a day or two, and then like, I’ll put everything away and run the scent-scrubbers and everything. That’s, like–that’s all. I don’t need, like . . . ‘attended’, or whatever. Like–I’m not gonna bother anybody with that.” 

Red Tornado’s just looking at him with the exact same expression, but it still feels like something’s changed.

On nest discourse actually! Like. I see so many people freaking out over "Tiktok nests" or people making "aesthetic nests" like they're the devil speaking and like.

"Cottagecore nest" they got some green quilts and mushroom plushies, chill the fuck out Harry. "Core" and "aesthetic" is literally just the kids way of saying theme. Themed nests are normal and fun, there's nothing wrong with doing them.

What you should be worried about is teaching these kids how to identify good materials for a nest. Their fun might be harmless, but the corporations selling shitly made nest materials aren't. If your kid is thinking about doing a nest like that you need to teach them to look at the list of materials used in whatever they want to buy, as well as thickness and all that shit.

AND TELL THEM TO AVOID ANYTHING THAT COMES WITH A SCENT, SPECIALLY IF ITS ARTIFICIAL HORMONES

I feel like there is a lot of respect and boundaries between parents and pups. There's a lot of wordless communication as well. Seeing as Omegaverse is often depicted as a smell/pheromone-based world, parents are really acute to what is up with their pups.

Sounds are just as important in Omegaverse. There are specific noises that pups make that give parents an idea of what their child wants. Grunts, whines, purrs, etc. They also specific from family to family.

I really love the thought of Betas being super parents to their kids, like yeah I know Omegas are stereotyped to be the perfect parents, but a Beta doing the same if not more? Them becoming the really loving, dorky, and cool parent when their pups are older? I'm exploding.

Nesting family time? Please, I'm crying.

This one is gonna be random but there are so many photo and video services. In my headcanon Alpha/Omega couples tend to have multiples, so they'd have so many physical pieces of media for each of their pups growing up.

I think I mentioned this on another post, but sometimes some nesting items are passed down to pups.

Family and pack are a very vital part of the Omegaverse. So I can imagine a lot of time off for parents or guardians. Parent day at school? Pup day at work? Paid family leave? Maternity and or paternity leave? Slay.

There's a HUGE market for momentum boxes. Pups crafts? Hair clippings? First tooth? First scented item? All go into a very protective and fancy box for the pups.

Lots of classes for mommy or daddy and me. Them doing little activities or learning new skills.

Alpha! Steve Rogers x Omega!F!Reader

"Tony, this file came in from Sheriff Wilson over in Locknia. You'll want to see this". Pepper says as she walks into Tonys office handing the file to Peter. To read over the file for Tony. As Peter was a young omega apprentice who's working under Tony to learn what he can to be an lawyer. Peter took the file opening it as he started to read it. " Brock Rumlow. Alpha,. Rumlow was spotted lurking alpha the premise of Steve Rogers house and land. After which Rumlow appeared at the police station to report that Mr. Rogers was holding his wife , Y/n Rumlow also know as Y/n L/n, against her will. Sheriff Wilson Took the case and check on miss y/n. Appearing at Mr. Rogers house, Y/n did inform Rumlow was her husband that she was trying to separate from. But that she was not being held against her will and was there willingly. At this point Mr. Rumlow pushed Sheriff Wilson down the steps of the porch, as he pulled out a gun aimed at Miss Y/n. Sheriff Wilson , officers Maximoff and Barnes were able to take down the alpha before anything happen. After Mr.Rumlow was detained Miss, Y/n opened up about having been trying to get away from Mr. Rumlow and he was holder her against her will. As she wishes to divorce him.".

Tony nodded as he took in the information. "Does it say exactly what he did to her?". Peter flipped through the file some more. "No , But there is a note in here from Steve Rogers asking to speak with you to help her.". Tony nodded , knowing if Steve is asking for his help like this it must be serious. "Pepper, if you will get us all set up to head to Locknia. We have a case to work"

The next night Steve got the next from Tony he will be there as soon as he can. Steve put his phone away as he scooped up some stew he made him and Y/n in two bowls. As he heads towards the Livingroom Y/n was sat. He hands he the bowl as he takes a seat next to her. "Tony got back to me, he will be here as soon as he can. Which I'm guessing he's taking the case." Y/n nodded as she poked the stew around with her spoon. Lost in thoughts. Steve looked over watching her. "What's wrong Pup?". Y/n just hummed as she looked back at Steve. "Come on Puppy let it out" He said softly as he watched her. "I'm just nervous, about finally getting the divorce and getting way from him. But what that all means , the court battles and so on." Y/n sighed as she looked back down at the stew. "I'm also tired....I just want it to be over." She says softly almost in a broken voice.

Steve frowned as he set his bowl to the side. Taking her bowl she's barely touched as he also sets it aside as he pulls her into a hug. "I know pup. I'm so sorry your going through all this. But we will get there okay?". He asked softly as he pulled her to sit on his lap. Y/n nodded as she landed into his touch. Laying her head on his shoulder. "I'll be here the whole time. I'll be by your side the whole time. We are in this together.". Y/n nodded taking in his scent as she relaxes into him. Feeling so safe and at home in Steve's arms. "Thank you Steve... Your a good Alpha". Y/n says softly as she nudges into his shoulder / neck. Steve beamed at this as he held her closer. The alpha in him jumping all around happy to hear her say that.

Tony , Pepper and Peter arrived into town the next day, early. But before heading to meet with Y/n and Steve. They headed to meet up with Sheriff Wilson to get any more information they needed on the alpha this was about. Before heading up to Steve's cabin. Pepper drove up the mountain to the cabin , as Tony and Peter sit in the back piecing the details together.

"This is going to be a touchy case". Tony said as he read through the notes Peter wrote along with the files they have on Brock Rumlow. "How so? Itsn't this just a simple divorce case? Maybe a restaning order?". Peter asked. "Normal? yes. But there is a case out about Brock and his Father. Long with Mr. (L/N). There are all tied up in some business problems.". Peter looked confused as he looked up at Tony. "I haven't seen you work on any case like that". Tony nodded. " Cause I'm not Rodney is working on the case. We talked about it as he was asking me questions to help. Its a terrible thing. Embezzlements and fraud. Lots of hidden and shifting of money." Peter nodded as he was taking notes to keep in mind. As they pull up to the cabin. Tony turns to Peter before they get out. "Okay kid this is it, I need you to be a lead here. This case is fully over alpha abuse, be prepared to hear awful things to omegas. I also want you to take care as it would make her feel more comfortable. Omega to Omega"

Peter nodded as he watched Tony Get out of the car. As he takes a deep breath. This was it. A chance to lead this case. But most importantly to be able to help a fellow omega. Taking one more breath Peter got out. As they head up the stairs to the cabin.
