It’s me, ya boy,dropping more omega whitebeard stuff on you because I’m deranged

So pops heats don’t tend to be like normal heats with how odd his system is, sure his hormones do still cycle but with no actual ability to have pups why have an actual heat? No instead every so often pops gets super affectionate and the crew loves it. His instincts demand that at some point every one of his pups are grabbed to be scented and given quality time in the nest. Everyone loves it given its hard to get one on one time with pops in such a big crew and who doesn’t love the chance to not have to be a big scary pirate of an emperor’s crew and just get to chatter on to a very indulgent proud pops. Whitebeard also gets the urge to look over the entire ship to make sure things are running well like the ship is one giant nest of his and it’s had an odd effect. Alphas generally tend to be more relaxed about the state of the den and more stressed about the security of it but Marco, who’s been following pops around like a duckling since he basically was a duckling has picked up on these habits and now fusses like the might high strung omega over the wider running’s of the ship. Marco gets teased about this of course, the crew joking that if a barrel gets misplaced he’s liable to pluck his own feathers but even at the approach of another emperor he still so relaxed he could fall over, very un alpha like. Whitebeard however is so proud and turns out Marco wins in the end because ace the omega everyone can agree no one is good enough for loves these personality quirks.

Speaking of ace: heartbreak time. Ace has never really let out a ‘distressed pup’ chirp since he was an infant as he quickly learned he’d never get a response to it. What’s the point of letting out a ‘im a hurt scared in danger pup’ noise when no one would save him and it only made him more vulnerable? Well that changes are marinefold as, on the run from akainu with luffy and nearly caught ace (probably a bit old for it but so scared) chirps. Whitebeard promptly flips his shit in the way an omega with a threatened pup can. Like sure, the marines were vaguely aware that whitebeard was an omega and his odd dynamics with his crew but that day they learned it first hand.

SOBBING AT THE SECOND HALF oh NO he learnt to never make that little endangered pup noise because no one would respond/react/help him so he just learnt to never rely on it wtfff thats so good what the hell im gonna lose it

But Marineford happens and Ace being too old to make such a sound and yet out it comes, a clear, high and definitely distressed sound and Pops showing off that there is a reason he holds the title of the worlds strongest man

It’s a damn shame for the marines that he’s an omega too, because maybe just maybe he may have spared them if he were an alpha

Pops has always smelled like peaches. It was the first thing Marco had noticed about the man, way back when he’d been nothing but a panicked pup stowing away on the wrong ship. The crew had been stupid enough to pick a fight with Whitebeard, and Marco had been cowering behind a stack of barrels, hoping the violence would pass him by, when all of a sudden he’d been scooped up and draped over the shoulder of an absolutely massive pirate, and Marco would have probably passed out from the panic if he hadn’t been so completely thrown off-guard by the rich, thick scent of an Omega.

Marco had still had a pup’s nose at the time, so the scent didn’t really register as much more than sweet and fruity and safety, comfort, I have you now. After his first rut, he’d scaled up Pops’s coat and stuck his face in the man’s neck and marveled at the smell of peaches and cream and strong black tea, caramel and cloves. He’d immediately gotten scent-drunk off the warm, rich sweetness of the old man’s affection, and the only reason he didn’t tip back and fall right off his shoulder is because Pops reached up in time to catch him.

Omegas are pretty rare on the seas. Not as much as the World Government tries to make them out to be of course, but there is some truth to the stereotypes; if you run into an Omega traveling with a pirate crew, it’s even odds they’re on that ship against their will. Not that that’s any less true with any other type of criminal, of course. Gangsters on land and pirates at sea and nobles in their feasting halls, it’s always the same — bullies go for the easy target, for the weak and the vulnerable, the young and the desperate and the naive. They fall on the feeble like ants to a corpse, and pick you clean.

It had honestly scared Marco at first, how open Whitebeard was about his sex. The man didn’t take scent-blockers. He didn’t bind his chest. When his heats came — and they came like clockwork every three months, because he wasn’t on suppressants either — he’d bundle himself and most of his small crew away into his nest, and yowl shamelessly for food or cuddles or for someone to start up a song. Part of the reason it took so long for Marco to accept that this was a permanent thing, that Whitebeard was keeping him and Marco didn’t need to keep a bag packed and an eye on the exit, was because he was so, so sure the loud, unruly, shameless Omega would be taught a lesson soon enough.

It had scared him, frustrated him. Made him wary. Nobody is allowed to be that free, he’d wanted to explain to Whitebeard, who for some reason just didn’t seem to get it. Nobody is allowed to be that happy with themselves. You’re too loud. You’re too proud. You’re too comfortable in your own skin. It doesn’t matter that you’re big and strong, they’ll kill you.

They’ll kill you, and I’ll be on my own again.

Eventually, somewhere between the second and the twentieth would-be challenger Whitebeard wiped the floor with, Marco started to realize that the man was more than big and strong, he was powerful. Powerful enough, maybe, to be loud. Powerful enough to be free, without worrying that someone would cage him for it. Marco watched the man who called him son conquer impossible challenges and defeat unbeatable enemies like it was easy, and somewhere along the line he forgot to hold onto his fear. Marco stopped sleeping with his shoes on, he unpacked that bag he’d been hiding in his locker, and then one day when the sun was high and the waters calm and Pop’s scent was syrupy-sweet with happiness, Marco had said “Pops-yoi? Would you bond me?”

And Whitebeard had. It was a little awkward — his fangs are long enough to puncture clear through Marco’s throat — but Whitebeard had been so, so careful, piercing the scent gland in Marco’s neck with the tip of one fang and injecting the venom deep into his blood stream. Then, to Marco’s stunned disbelief, Pops had picked him up and draped him over his shoulder and asked for a bite of his own.

That’s how it starts. An Omega with no pack and a boy with no parents and the peach-sweet summer scent now sunk into the both of them, on a rickety ship that won’t survive the year and with a handful of scavenged crew-mates that will either leave or choose to stay forever before that year is up. Those that choose to stay practically line up when they see the bond wounds on Marco and Pops, clambering for a chance to bite and be bitten. By the time they’re in Water 7 buying a used ship (it will be years still before the Moby is commissioned) Marco is a part of something he can’t remember ever being a part of before.

Finder's Keepers Ch.13

Giving a whimper as pain rippled across your skull you scrunched your eyes closed and brought your hand up to gently rub at the aching spot on the back of your head. Feeling some of your hair stuck together along a large goose egg you again let out a whimper as your head throbbed. Trying to open your eyes you had to blink away the spots but all too soon you were looking up at the sky, the dark clouds rumbling and spinning some in the light of the lightning.

Feeling something under your uneven body you glanced to the side to see none other than the body of your alpha. As another bolt of lightning went off and showed blood dripping down his side you quickly sat up and crawled over to look down at the man you loved. Scanning your eyes over his chest you gasped at the sight of the crater over his left pectoral. Feeling your heart hammer and your breath pick up you looked around to see you both were in a small sail boat and you were surrounded by the dark sea. As it all came back to you, you could not help the agonizing scream that left your throat. 

"NOOOOO! SHANKS!! NOOOO!!" your screamed, gut wrenching guilt clawing at your heart at the knowledge that your baby brother was undoubtfully dead. Sobbing so hard that your whole body shook you cried out and felt the tears pour from your eyes. So much so that it took your longer to notice that it had started to rain and not just a sprinkle either. Sucking in a shaky breath you looked back to your alpha and moved to hesitantly lay your head on his chest, dreading the silence that may meet your ears. Laying your ear flat to his bloody chest you closed your eyes "please." Listening intently you felt your heart sink for a moment but just then a thumping was heard and you could not help from letting out another sob in relief. He was alive, for now. Sitting up you kissed his cheek and took a breath, tears still rolling down your face. He was alive but if the both of you were to stay that way then you couldn't just sit here in the middle of the open sea. Using the next few strikes of lightning to look around in every direction you felt dread take over more and more and even when you did see what you thought was a speck of land in the distance you could not find it to be relieved. It was a long way off and the waves were growing stronger by the second, it would take a miracle to get you both over there but you were not going to give up. Quickly standing to tie the broken sail back up as best you could you looked around until you felt two oars and managed to pull them out from under your massive alpha before sitting down and using all the strength you had to row. 

Biting your lip you pushed yourself on more, glancing behind you to see the island just a little ways off now. Moving both of your heavy feeling arms in the motion you closed your eyes as your palms were set aflame. When the bottom of your boat hit something you glanced back to see you had in fact made it but now came the hard part. Letting go of the oars you jumped into the wet sand, feeling weak as sea water was washed up to your knees. Refusing to give up you grabbed the rope tied to the stern and pulled. Once you had the front up onto the sand you grew to your larger size and grabbed hold of it. "Ahhhh." Pulling it up onto the sand until you were sure it would not be  washed back out you tied the rope to a nearby tree. Looking around the beach with the little sun that was beginning to rise through the clouds. Not seeing anything but rocks and trees you panted and looked back to your mate. Walking over to him you kissed his cheek once more, "I'll be back." 

Forcing yourself away from the safety of your alpha you ran through the trees and bushes, searching high and low for anything. Seeing some cliffs to the right you narrowed your eyes and moved towards them. At first you found nothing but then as you pulled back some ivy grown up one side you found a cave of sorts, though the opening was small it was larger in size, big enough to fit your mate and you inside. With this in mind you hurried back to the beach. 

Starring down at the huge male you took a deep breath and licked your lips. This was going to be difficult but you had no choice. Moving into the boat you pulled him up into a slouched sitting position and turned him more towards the side. Trying to hold him up as you got out you let out a gasp as the boat tipped over with his weight. Quickly catching it on your shoulder before it could fall onto him you let out a scream. Breathing heavily you managed to flip the boat back over after getting him out laying on the sand. Grabbing the bag, pistol and cloak Rocks had given you, you laid them by the tree for now, hiding them under a few bushes. Glancing to the boat and then back to Ed you moved to untie the boat before moving out into the water some, feeling your knees shake as you were overcome with fatigue. Rocking the boat back and forth until the water filled up one side and took it under you let go and allowed it to sink, hiding it from anyone who might come looking. If the navy knew some of the Rocks pirates had escaped then they would no doubt search other nearby islands. While you had no idea how far you and Ed had been pushed out you weren't taking any chances. 

Once that was done you moved back over to the large male and took a deep breath, growing back to your larger size before pushing your arms under his to start pulling him towards the cave you had found. Gritting your teeth you breathed heavily as you strained to pull the man who was much larger than you. Tripping once more you fell backwards and laid there for a moment to catch your breath. "That's it, when you wake up your going on a diet." you spoke. 

By the time the sun was higher in the sky you had him in the cave. Heading back out to get your things you stumbled back to the cave, your body feeling like it was made of lead. Dropping them by his head you blinked your heavy feeling eyes and looked to see him still out. Crawling over to him you touched his cheek and gasped, he felt cold, his skin clammy feeling.  A fire, you needed to make a fire and treat his wound or it was going to get infected. 

As you ran through the forest you were sure that your body was running on pure shock and adrenaline. Finding some sticks, both small and large, pinecones and straw you hurried it all back to the cave before looking around for two stones. Stacking it all up not too far from him you held the stones in your hands and tried to mimic what you had seen Rocks do to start a fire. It took more than a couple of tries and you were past frustrated when a few sparks shot off one of the stones and onto the straw, smoke quickly forming and then small flames. Making sure the fire was going good enough you moved out to grab some more wood quickly as it had started to rain once more and you knew it would not burn wet. Brining it inside you tossed it to the side for later, for now you had to treat Ed's wounds. 

Searching through the bag Rocks had shoved on your shoulders you found a small medical kit, it would last three days at best on someone as big as Ed was. But you would use what you had. As far as your own wounds went, well you would worry about that later. Taking a deep breath you looked down to his wounds and then to the items you had, time to put everything Kureha had taught you to use.

Forcing your heavy eyelids open you stared up at the rock ceiling of the cave you had been in for the last four days or so you thought anyway. Truthfully once you had gotten Ed's wounds sewn up and bandaged the other day you had passed out, your adrenaline wearing off. When you had woken it had been  near dark and the fire was completely out so there was no telling how long you had slept. 

Over these days you had cared for your alpha as best as you could, cleaning and dressing his wounds as well as forcing him to drink some water from the now empty rum bottle Rocks had packed in the bag, the alcohol being used to clean Ed's wounds. Pushing your sore body up from the ground you glanced towards the opening to see it was daylight. Turning your attention back to the large alpha male that was laying beside you, you saw the rising and falling of his chest making you grin softly, he was alive and his wounds looked to be healing. On the second day you had been awake he had given you quite a scare when you had noticed his fever but thankfully there had been a vile of antibiotics in the first aid kit along with a syringe. Now he only seemed to be resting. Still as much as you wanted him to rest and heal you hoped he would soon wake. 

Starting your day like you had the past three you took the bottle to the small spring that was a short walk from your little cave before you cleaned and changed Ed's dressings. Once that was done you made another walk to the spring to get water for him to drink, lifting his head up into your lap and slowly pouring the liquid into his mouth and softly telling him to drink as you messaged his throat to help him along. After your alpha was tended to you went to search for some kind of food, taking the dagger that had also been in the bag. 

This island seemed to have a small village on the further side from where you both were but you had yet to go into it, knowing your alpha would not want you there alone. But you knew if he was not up soon you would have no choice, finding little food on the island. Swallowing down a few blueberries you found you closed your eyes as your stomach yelled at you to feed it. Sighing out you headed back to the cave, picking up new firewood along the way. 

Spending the next few hours singing softly to your alpha as you watched the rain falling outside of the cave you sighed as the song ended. Looking down to the man you loved you stroked your fingers through his hair, attempting to keep the long waves of gold from getting too tangled. "I know you need rest but if you could just wake up for a little bit, enough to assure me that I'm not alone, that I'm not going to loose you too.." biting your lip as it began trembling you swallowed the knot in your throat. "I wouldn't be able to go on if I lost you. I miss you Ed." feeling tears drop to your cheeks you leaned over to place your head on his chest. Your whole body ached, your injuries throbbing but as you listened to the sound of his thumping heart you were able to ignore them and closed your eyes to imagine you were both back on that ship you had hated so much, that you were both just laying in bed and everything was fine. Ed was fine, he was sleeping with you on his chest and Shan.... as the thought of your baby brother came to your head you felt more tears leak from your eyes and all too soon sobs were falling from your mouth, shaking your body and causing your heart to clench painfully in your chest. Curling up into your alpha's side you tried to get as much comfort as you could from his unconscious body. 

Waking sometime during the early morning you blinked your tired eyes open and forced yourself to stand on unsteady legs, too tired to even bother with your shoes but grabbing the bottle on your way out to empty your bladder. Once you had refilled the bottle you turned to go back to your cave when you stopped in your tracks. Looking up the barrel of the riffle that was aimed at you, you saw a man standing there, a marine no doubt seeing as he was dressed in a white uniform. Feeling your heart hammer in your chest, your breathing turned erratic and you swallowed down on nothing but the moisture in your mouth. Seeing four others standing around him all holding swords you saw the one in front smirk.

"Told you there'd be some of Rocks' crew lingerin' about on this shit hole of an island."

"But sir how do you..."

"Just look at her eyes, that one they caught said there was an omega on the ship and here she is." he responded to the one behind him before looking to the female and grinning. "Now honey we can do this the easy way or..."

Without a moments thought you chucked the bottle at the man's head and took off in the opposite direction. Jumping over a log and running as fast as you could you held your side as the sword slash there was set ablaze, no doubt reopening. Hearing a gun go off you cried out as your arm was hit. Stumbling into a tree you continued on, running further away from your alpha no matter how much your instincts were telling him to seek the safety of your alpha. Making it to the edge of the cliff you skidded to a stop as you nearly fell over it. Going to run towards the town you were shoved to the ground hard, the breath getting knocked from you. Going to grow you felt something quickly get slapped on one wrist and then the other. Looking up you saw it was cuffs and knew from the instant fatigue that overcame you they were sea stone. Growling you adempted to still buck the male from on top of you but to no avail. Refusing to give up you thrashed with every ounce of energy you had as you were hauled up and forced to stand. Looking to the male as he came to stand in front of you, blood running down his nose and brow from where you had hit him with the bottle. Seeing him glare at you attempting to intimidate you, you only snarled, barring your teeth at him. 

"Hard way it is then." he huffed before slamming the stock of the riffle into her face, knocking her unconscious. Taking a deep breath he looked to the officer holding her, bring the pirate back to camp, have her strung up and ready for interrogation."

"Interrogation sir?"

"Yes, I intend to locate every piece of filth that drifted away from that island and finally rid the world of the Rocks' pirates." he assured the subordinate before turning and making his way back to camp.

Everything was unclear as you tried to flutter your lashes open but only one eye was currently co-operating for you. There was not much you were sure of at the moment, everything blurry and your memory fuzzy but you soon felt the ache throughout your body, the one in your arm and face a new addition to your pervious injuries. Trying to move your arms from where they were being held above you found you couldn't and groaned as you tried to pull free. Blinking your one eye a few times you saw sand below you and lifted your head up to glance around you. Seeing tents as well as two marines walking about you felt your heart hammer. Looking up you saw you were in fact chained to the limb of a tree, your feet just barely touching the ground. Looking about again you searched for any clue as to where you were on the island but it didn't look like anywhere you had been before, you didn't even see the small village near by. Were you on the other side of the island? Ed, had they found Ed? Turning to look around you you saw no other and felt a small sense of relief. But panic soon rose in you again at the voice speaking as a man came walking out of one of the larger tents. 

"Well look who is finally awake. About time honey I was starting to worry you'd tapped out before we could have any real fun."

Glaring up at the male as he moved to stand in front of you once again you saw his face now stitched up but with bruises now staining his once handsome face. You tried to look tough, tried to show no fear but he saw right through it as he huffed out a chuckle. 

"Just remember sweetheart you chose to go this route." 

Watching him walk away from you towards a small table that had been set to the side you saw him pour himself a glass of clear liquid that you doubted was water, swallowing it down in one big gulp before he lifted something that made your blood run cold. 

Giving a experimental flick of the cat o nine tails he reeked in the look of terror on the omega's face. "Now I don't suppose you would like to talk about the Rocks' Pirates would you?"

A violent clenching in his heart caused him to shoot up from where ever he had been laying, his hand flying to his chest which was bandaged. The pain though was not coming from his wound, it was deeper than that, causing his very soul agony. Groaning he squeezed his eyes shut and panted until he could managed to open them. Seeing a darkened room? No not a room the floor and walls and ceiling were made of rock, a cave, he was in a darkened cave. The small bit of sunlight that came in through the entrance showed him a bag and a few items laying about as well as a place were a fire had been kept. Panting he thought on the last memories he had before everything went black. Y/n, his omega he was trying to get to her and he had. He had found her on the beach but she was being attacked and he had killed the bastards but then everything began to spin and went dark. He could hear her calling for him, begging him to stay awake, to get into the boat. After that he could recall nothing. Seeing her shoes on the ground next to him as he knew she had been here which meant she had somehow gotten him in here as well but she was not here now. Where was she? Where was his mate? Groaning as the pain started up once more he knew what that meant, his omega was in trouble, she needed him. Crawling out of the cave he pushed himself to his feet and held onto the cave as he got his footing. Looking out across the land he narrowed his eyes as he looked through the trees for any sign of her. When a agonizing scream cut through the forest from the distance he grit his teeth and growled deeply as he pushed off the cliff towards it as fast as he could.

Sengoku: *kicking down the door* What do you mean, "yOuR tUrN"? We agreed now is my time slot!

Fun little AU Nikia ideas while I pretend like it's not 2 AM and I should be asleep 😃

Just for clarification, OG Nikia right now is a very introverted elite ranger who lives in a cabin on a mountain in perpetual winter with giant ass wings by nature and a devil fruit to alter her size (whole or in parts).

Summer Isle AU, Nikia is a life guard beach babe who talks to no one because the only change here is she prefers summer and is okay existing around other people lol (Thatch suffers because there's only so many times he can pretend to drown well enough to fool her before he gets slapped clear to Impel Down and he's not scoundrel enough to do it but really wants to be personally saved by an 'angel'). No devil fruit because how you gonna rescue people in the ocean if you're a drowning risk yourself???

Spa AU Nikia where she's got a different devil fruit and doesn't hate the thought of touching strangers so much. So she works in the spas with her 'dream sheep' devil fruit that puts people to sleep with weird (occasionally prophetic) dreams. Hair is a fluffy, curly cloud when active and she kicks like a mule. Still has her wings but they put off cloud vapor like crazy. Very easily blends with clouds when flying.

Mermaid AU Nikia where shes basically half mermaid. Unsure what her wings would be... Either more like fins or covered in feathery filaments. As much as I like moon jellyfish (not sure how I'd accomplish that one specifically), as well as tetras, there's simply no funnier option than flying fish. Though I'd be tempted to do an eel or octopus as well just for shenanigans like stealing things when someone looks away or excessive cuddling for fluff. Preferably something venomous for added danger lol (Thatch would face many fishy allegations and beat none of them in this au).

Star fruit AU where she's still antisocial on the mountain but with a devil fruit that enables her to make stars. Enjoys casting them into the night sky and making her own light, not fond of the dark in this AU. Her eyes have stars in them that glow and she doesn't tell anyone but she can make wishing stars. Sometimes little stars get stuck in her hair and wings cause they don't wash out, they have to be physically removed by hand. For fun, she'll give herself freckles. Thatch gets to suffer from how cute it all is but will not be complaining, most agree with him.

Marine AU where the job market of her island (not the sister Summer and Winter Isles) is so bad the only real paying jobs are civilian contractor for the marine base nearby. Too out of the way to get 'real' Marines but still too close to an important trade route to go unguarded. There's a volcano on the island that's getting closer to blowing every year as the inhabitants scramble to earn enough money to live elsewhere, the government no help at all. Due to the shitty economy and frequent earthquakes, most buildings are especially vulnerable to strong forces, making everyone very nervous when the only real marine on base manages to catch and imprison a pirate. A Whitebeard Commander specifically. Nikia ends up as his guard and openly admits she's just waiting for his crew to arrive before he 'escapes' so her home can remain standing a little longer. Of course, things go awry and she ends up getting pretty badly injured protecting Thatch from the worst of the building falling apart. He can't just let that go, so it looks like she gets to leave sooner than expected. Not sure if she still has wings in this one. I want her to though...

Obligatory O/B/A. She doesn't have a devil fruit in this one, and I run wild with some less porn-specific ideas for how dynamics work. She's an omega but effectively lives as a beta with what I call 'puppy heats' every few months. It's the urge to nest, hoard resources, and occasionally cuddle people she's close to without any real need for sex. So none of that 'slick' or mindless lusting (as fun as it is to read, I'll fully admit). Less severe than full blown heats, hence the odd term. Her cabin is effectively her nest, and she's a bit... Brutal defending it from outside threats, particularly around her heat. Tends to molt before her heat and knows how bad it's going to be by how the molting goes. Lots of sleepy cuddles in this one. One half of Ace’s brain says he should never bring a child into the world and to put them through the hell he went through as a child but the other half that does want a child and to build a family with someone he loves. When he finds out that at a certain point the baby can hear their parents in the womb, you bet your ass Ace would talk to the belly, even if its just about random things. Every night he’d tell the baby they are loved, by him, by the their mother, their family, etc. The baby would come into the world loved and would always know through out their life they are loved. Ace never wants any children he has to doubt that ever like he did when he was a child.*

The first time he holds his child after they are born he would cry, he wouldn’t even try to hide it. It would be easily be the happiest he’d ever been in his life to just have this tiny baby in his arms and in his life.*

In a modern au, Ace would teach his children to stand up for themselves if they are being bullied in school. That most likely means teaching them to fight back. He’d also stand by his child if they got in trouble for fighting back against their bully, in his words ‘it isn’t like the school is doing anything about it’. He’d be the parent who buys his kid ice cream right after meeting with the school.

He definitely gives piggyback and shoulder rides.

No matter the au, his kids would not know Garp or have a relationship with him. The only grandparents they would have would be Dadan and Whitebeard.  He would do everything in his power to make sure Garp didn’t find out about his child.

Despite Ace’s mixed feelings about being an Omega, he still has a natural draw to nurture and care for children. Its the only thing Ace can say he can’t bring himself to be ashamed of, being able to care for children and make sure they had the best chance to have the best life is fulfilling to Ace and makes the shame he feels about being an omega sting less.

((This headcanon is built off a convo I had with @theshytigergirl​ concerning his body producing too much testosterone causing his negative emotions and anger  about his secondary gender, this would mostly apply to a modern au )) He’d be told to wait to have children until after going through treatment and therapy, mostly as a safety precaution ( to avoid risk of postpartum depression from the extreme clash of hormones). But once he does have a child he’d be the first time he would feel happy with being an Omega. 

During his pregnancy Ace would be touchy about people touching his belly, if you ask you’ll be fine (though sometimes he won’t be in the mood to let people touch) and if you touch without asking, there is a chance you may walk away with a broken wrist.

mas and a spring break au?

“We survived! We survived midterms! LONG LIVE YOUTH!” Thatch cheered, thrusting his fist into the air. Around him, drunk young people cheered loudly, echoing his words.

Marco rolled his eyes, a bit of fondness and a bit of annoyance in the action but he raised his can to the words too. He has to admit coming along with his fraternity brothers to Moby Dick was a great idea after all.

Every year the Whitebeard Omega would all jump into cars and road trip nearly ten hours away to spend their week of break at the large party covered lake. Supposedly the biggest place for spring break in the nation.

Every year his brothers tried to get him to go but Marco always stayed behind, not liking the idea of a never-ending party with drunk obnoxious people everywhere. He much rather prefers the quiet halls of the house and the walks around the surrounding forest. He even likes to go into the little two an hour away, for the peaceful atmosphere. 

Fosha village, mostly a farming area was a lovely place to spend his break at. And if he liked to go for the little bar run by a kind woman with attractive waiters well then, that was not one else’s business to know. 

Too bad said waiters left this year for college themselves somewhere far away and thus ridding Marco of his reason to stay for spring break. 

But that again was not anyone’s business to know. 

“Marco you have to come try the water slide!” Haruta shouted from where he was perched on the docks “I’ll shoot you into the darkest part of the lake where some say you never come back from!”

Marco moved over to him, before squinting his eyes up at him from the water  “What? Where do you go then?”

Haruta made his large lavender eyes go wider shaking his hands  “Nobody knows. They say the fae carry you off.”

“How can “they” say that if nobody knows? That doesn’t make any sense Haurta.”

The brown hair male huffed dropping his hands. “Just give the slide a try. It starts at the top of the cliff”

“What? That doesn’t sound safe at all-”

“Marco I swear I will summon those faes myself if you don’t go right now. Stop being a party pooper.” 

The blond felt a little stung by the words but he heaved himself out o the water anyway. He gave the brown hair male a small glare which Haruta answered with an eager grin and eyebrow wiggles.

He not so subtly flickered his eyes to a pair of men that were checking Marco out from their beach chairs. The blond spotted them a few minutes ago but pretended like he didn’t notice.

  “oh come off it yoi”

The pair walked along the path which looped up to the top of the cliff, picking up some brotherly tag along. By the time they were midway the group had expanded to seven. 

Marco walked behind the group, going at a slower pace to enjoy the forest. He smiles at the chirping birds overheard, the light breaking through the branches and thanks to walking this distance the silence that surrounded him.

If he ignored Kingdew’s and Fossa burping contest. Or turn a blind eye to Atmos, Jiru, and Rakuyo hand motions as they describe the ladies they like to get friendly with from the parties down below. 

Just you and nature. Marco chanted in his head running his hand over passing trees  Just you and nature. Do not focus on the conversations ahead of you. 

They reached the top faster then he likes and not soon enough. The line for the slide wasn’t as big as Marco thought it would be, they were still a few feet away from it but he could see two men getting ready to go.

The black hair one went first using the upper bar to swing himself down the slide his whooping echoing as he descended.  The blond quickly too his place at the top of the slide stepping into the little plastic circle that started the slide.

He held on to the bar looking down. 

“Why isn’t he going?”  

Haruta turns to him will a grin  “You go after the other person passed this yellow line, that way you don’t hit each other in the water.”

Just as he finished his sentence, the blond swings himself down just like the other rider disappearing from sight- though all they really saw was his back- and his echoing laugh the only thing left behind. 

The whitebeards arrived all talking about turns but it’s Hurata that shouts  “Marco first!” 

Somehow the blond in question is pushed to the front of the group, overlooking the suddenly very high cliff. He can see the blond from before going down. The slide surprises him, beacuse he thought for sure it be a straight shoot down but it actually bends much like a snake to the bottom. 

The blond passes the yellow part of the slide, clashing from the gree like the rest of the slide and Marco feel someone pat his back  “Go ahead Mar!”

Now here he wonders if he should if he wants to do this but that moment passes and Marco swings himself down. The water pushes his body against the plastic, accelerating as he goes. 

He is grinning as the thrown one direction and another, the rushing water not painful while green plastic surrounds him higher than his body. He looks up seeing the sky rush by, and Marco can admit it’s fun.

All too soon he hears the water falling into the lake and prepares himself for the landing. He takes a big breath as he supports him disappears and he has but a few seconds of free air before his splashing down into the water.

At that moment, his back starts to hurt.

Marco tries to move, but he can’t go too far. He must have landed wrong because he gets himself upright. The longer he tries the more he realizes that his running out of air for his lungs feel like they are burning. His eyes are burning too, the water making it hard to see and he doesn’t even know if he’s facing the surface or not.

Help! Someone help!

Two pair of hands suddenly grabs hold on him pulling upwards. As soon as his head out of the water he takes in deep breaths, gasping and coughing. The people holding onto him pull him along, making sure that Marco doesn’t go under again, and soon they are back at shore.

Someone carries him to the ground placing Marco on his side.

“Are you okay?”  A male voice asks him (why does it sound familiar? Is it one of his brothers?)  to his right, and the blond tries to nod. 

“Thank you for saving me. I can’t move my back.”

“Oh dang, Marco. that’s not good at all.”  

Ah, it was one of his brothers.  

He smiles as someone steps in front of him “Thanks, I know-”

Ace. It was Ace, one of the attractive waiters from his favorite little bar. He was here. And he was shirtless. 

Did he die and go to heaven?

“Don’t worry. Sabo went to get help. Good thing we came to spend spring break here huh?” Ace smiles, his right dimple pooing up as he gently pets Marco’s hair  “Your going to be okay.”

This is the best place on earth and Marco will always come back for spring break.
