Is there anything specific I should read before devil's advocate? Besides like Iris's SCP file
It should probably be said that devils advocate is a sort of a rehash of the indefinitely-on-hiatus Resurrection canon. The gist of Resurrection is basically that when Iris was 15 and fairly freshly contained the Foundation launched a campaign to weaponize anomalous humanoids and put her on a task force alongside SCP-076 "Able" called Omega-7. Omega-7 failed because of (simplifying here bc Resurrection is Weird) Able going rogue and slaughtering everyone on it except for Iris, who got recontained with a shitload of trauma about half of which is related to the massacre and the other half to being functionally deployed as a child soldier before that. Nine years later, due to the latently impending apocalypse (once again its Weird) the O5 council decides to revisit the concept of anomalies-as-agents and creates a second taskforce called Alpha-9 that Iris becomes a sort of involuntary figurehead for.
While I wouldn't say you strictly need to have read Resurrection to understand Devils Advocate, DA borrows that general setup, alongside two characters native to Resurrection, Agents Adams and Foxx (I've linked their introductory tales in case you want to check them out but honestly you can probably get a sufficient picture of them from the Characters section on the DA hub page).
Also a few humanoid SCPs (chief among them Jaqueline, SCP-1985) are major characters but their articles are usually crosslinked within the respective tale as soon as they become relevant to the story.
However! From what I know of what's planned with DA in the future, the canon will eventually dig its fingers into a bunch of old SCP lore that has been abandoned-and-haunting the wiki for years, like Project Olympia, Agent AA, SCP-3002 Lily Veselka (who is an AU version of Iris) and The Bloom, all of which you don't need to know about to understand what exists of Devils Advocate currently, but if you end up liking it might be worth looking into!
Cheers! Happy reading :)

🎂 Hey king, I’m back on my Clears cooking bullshit💕💕💕 this is a long one, strap in
It’s because of Reddit that Kain thought he may be getting put down.
Not the whole of the website, but a screenshotted post of a man taking a picture of his old golden retriever in front of the oven, with the caption saying he had to put his dog down, so he was reverse searing him a steak for his last meal.
Which was exactly what Charles was doing. He’d patted the steaks dry with a paper towel, salted them, and put them in the oven at 135 degrees for a perfect medium rare. He flipped them once. Once they were a bit below temperature, he pulled them out and let them rest under tinfoil for about ten minutes while he heated a cast iron pan. The meat crackled as he seared it, leaving a perfectly cooked brown crust on it. Kain’s tail started wagging at the smell.
After the steaks were seared, he lowered the heat of the pan, and put butter, a little bit of garlic, and some herbs in the pan, basting the steak with the butter. Once it was done, he put the steaks on a plate, while he puttered about finishing the side dishes. Mashed potatoes, and a green bean recipe he fondly said Clef taught him.
If Kain hadn’t been so worried about getting put down, he would’ve described the scene as… surreal. Especially since Cog was wearing an apron, and Clef was being referred to fondly. He sliced Kain’s steak into strips (against the grain, Gears clarified, which meant nothing to Kain), plated them with mashed potatoes and green beans, then set them both on the coffee table in his living room. It was low enough to the ground that Kain could eat from it while still feeling like a person. It was a feeling he deeply missed.
He hesitantly started eating the steak. It tasted fucking delicious. The meat was cooked precisely and dripped with juice, the seared crust a perfect contrast to the tender meat. The green beans were delicious, too. He was a bit hesitant to start on the mashed potatoes, since he’d probably make a hell of a mess lapping it all up. Gears seemed to be enjoying himself, too. Which was nice. Kain had, of course, noticed him gaining weight and had been subject to countless infodumps about different cooking techniques and recipes. It was good to see Gears this happy.
Gears dabbed his mouth with a napkin and spoke.
“I do hate to disrupt dinner, but I need to discuss a very delicate matter with you.”
Ah shit, Kain thought, I’m totally getting put down.
“What sort of delicate matter? Is it regarding Olympia, or an SCP or— yeah.”
“It’s more… personal… in nature.
Oh god. He was getting put down. This was going to be Gears’ tearful (searful?) goodbye before an unmarked black van came to take him to the rainbow bridge.
“What seems to be the problem?”
Gears took a sip of his wine. Kain now realized that this was the first time he’d ever seen Gears drink alcohol. Fucking Christ it was going to be bad. Yup. He would’ve gotten a will in order but it was just so hard to find a lawyer willing to talk to a dog.
“I will be as brief as possible.”
“Okay, sounds good.”
“If you have any questions, you can ask me.”
“Totally, totally.”
Gears nodded.
“I’d like to begin by saying I am discussing this with you because I consider you to be one of my closest friends. You are someone I feel I can trust no matter what.”
Kain nodded, silently beginning to mourn every unfinished project.
“As I sure you are aware,” Gears continued, “I have been spending a great deal of time with Dr. Alto Clef. We began interacting more after he started cooking food for me. This eventually resulted in him inspiring me to learn how to cook, as well as teaching me in some regards. For example, the green beans we ate with tonight’s dinner, and the technique of reverse searing were both things he taught me.”
“Oh, that’s nice. What’s the problem? Is Clef bothering you?”
Did he tell you to reverse sear me a steak before I get put down?
Gears took another sip of his wine.
“Clef is not bothering me, I would say. While the situation is more complicated than this, I will keep it brief; since February fourteenth, Clef believes that he has been involved in a romantic relationship with me. I have allowed this to continue, but I have not told Clef that I do not think we are truly dating.”
Kain blinked.
“He’s thought you were dating since February?”
“Correct.”
“Cog, it’s August.”
“This is an issue I have put off dealing with for quite a bit of time.”
“Yeah. Just… I don’t know, Clef is a grown man, just tell him that you’re not interested, he’ll understand.”
A bit of color rose to Gears’ pale cheeks.
“I wouldn’t say that sentiment… accurately describes the situation, nor my feelings towards Clef.”
The realization that Gears had a crush on Clef hit Kain like a sack of wet mice. He couldn’t even feel relieved that he wasn’t getting put down.
“Oh.”
“This is territory I am unfamiliar with, and would appreciate any advice.”
“With… how to, ah, proceed with your crush on Clef?”
Gears went even pinker.
“I wouldn’t describe it as a crush, per say. I find Clef to be someone I enjoy spending time with, someone I feel brings out good in me and encourages me to be better. I enjoy his company and have come to also appreciate his humor. I would also consider him… physically attractive… but that is not the crux of my feelings. All and all, it feels too complex for a term as juvenile as a crush.”
Kain stared at him, slack jawed. Maybe he’d already been put down, and he was in hell, and this was a uniquely crafted scenario made to torment him.
“I see,” Kain said, completely blindsided. “Why don’t you just go with it? Just keep up being boyfriends with Clef—“
“—I wouldn’t describe us as—“
“You’re boyfriends. You’ve been dating for seven months.”
“Not dating.”
“Why not just… let things keep going? See where that leads you?”
Gears sighed.
“Because I haven’t properly courted Clef. Or discussed my feelings with him. He has not discussed anything with me, either, but in February fourteenth he made me a delicious dinner and was obviously dressed nicer. It took me a few months to realize it was a date. Clef hasn’t said anything to me.”
Kain let out a long breath.
“So he just, without saying anything, took you on a date.”
“There was a newly bought candle on the table. It wasn’t lit, but the romantic sentiment was most certainly there.”
“Maybe you could, I don’t know, try talking to him about it?”
Gears stared down at his plate.
“I should make him lobster, I think he’d understand my sentiment, then.”
“Or you could just tell him.”
Gears went so red Kain was worried he was going to burst a blood vessel.
“How would I go about doing that?”
“I don’t know, this isn’t pride and prejudice, just tell him you like him!”
“But—“
“Gears, you’re my best friend, but I cannot offer you any more advice than to just talk to him.”
Gears nodded sagely. He would have to ask someone else for advice, then. Rights, maybe. She certainly would know how to proceed. And she certainly wouldn’t tell him to try to talk to Clef.
“I will keep that in mind.”
God that's hilarious. Gears doing an "unnecessary feelings" bit while Kain thinks he's about to die. Gears you're so good at communicating things </3

i cant speak for everyone obviously but me and a good handful of other people rlly love redwood labs and especially gamma and would certainly love to see you expand on that! While im a tad out of the loop as to what draws engagement on the wiki, I don't think you need to necessarily bank on pre-established interest, you write all your original characters so charmingly i find them just as fun to read as the older ones :]
Thanks, it's good to hear that people like them. I feel kind of bad about posting stuff like that since it seems like I'm fishing for positive feedback, but it's just been weighing on me a bit, creatively speaking.
Some more general thoughts about the wiki and my characters under the cut.
As for what draws engagement on the wiki, shorter articles tend to do well. All those people who complains about how "all wiki articles are theses on pseudosciences that take two hours to read and three weeks to understand" tend to annoy me, as it seems like they don't actually engage with the main site very much before dismissing it. We have a "shortest pages this month" page accessible from the sidebar, for crying out loud. Beyond that, having a following with your stuff helps, either by contributing to something people care about, or by being a big-name writer. DA got a little bit of buzz for being a new Resurrection thing, but not too much, as opinions on the mainline canon are a little split. Hell, I'm writing for the thing and I've got mixed feeling about it.
True, you could just make your characters ones people get invested in, but I'm not really a big name on the site, nor do the ones I write seem to fall into the arcetypes that are typically popular. I see a lot of fans for the staff characters, like the ones in the OG43 canon or ones like Light (to say nothing of senior staff), but staff characters never really appealed to me very much. Hence why I'm writing a series that focuses on humanoids: the anomalies are the things that really pique my interest, and I didn't see many people writing the kinds of stories with humanoids that I wanted to see. There's a number of reasons for that, some of which I laid out in my post about the issues in writing "affectionate" characters, but in general, humanoids aren't usually written like long-term characters in the same way that staff members are (with notable exceptions like the Unhuman canon).
This isn't to say I don't like staff characters at all, as I have September and plan on writing some of them in the future, like KPC, but by default I tend to like anomalies more. Even outside of my interests with the SCP community, I also just really like stuff featuring androids. Couldn't really tell you why, it's just something I've always found interesting and wanted to write Gamma and her 'family' so I could write a bit about them. Since they're more like characters I'm writing for me, I'm concerned about whether or not they'll have broader appeal. Of course, I have considered how they fit into the narrative, and I wouldn't have included them if they just stuck out, hence their relation to the Olympia Project, and KPC and Adams by extension.

Body Swap: Project ES/SENCE
A Case of SCP-158: The Soul Extractor
Experiment Log of: Dr. J. L. Ravens, utilization of SCP-158 for Project ES/SENCE
Date: [REDACTED]
Pre-Experiment Note:
Shortly after the untimely suspension of Professor Crow in an attempted containment breach with his specimen, Olympia Integration Experiments were indefinitely put on-hold and archived. All control over SCP-158 has been relinquished to myself, Dr. Ravens, as the new Chief of Research overseeing experiments on the Soul Extractor. Likewise, the Site Director has greenlit my own proposal: Extraction, Substitution/Switching Ectoplasmic Nuclei of Corporal Entities, or Project ES/SENCE for short. Olympia has already discovered most of the extractor’s functions, but Dr. Crow focused too much on the machine’s capabilities, while I on the other hand wish to explore the soul and the flesh in which it will be interred.
That, and so much more. If this experiment yielded the results that I was hoping for, then I’d have found the solution to regaining my vitality. And that is, my assistant Junior Researcher Dr. Matthews. Matthews is in his mid-twenties, and a brief background check on him as well as evaluation of his performance has led me to putting him as my top candidate for this experiment. But the Overseer wouldn’t know of it, of course, as I will redact this portion once finished. Instead, I will offer it as an alternative means to preserving valuable foundation personnel and espionage on Groups of Interest. More to follow.
Tumblr media
An Image of Dr. Matthews, dated [REDACTED]
Experiment-01:
Since the Soul Extractor has been primed and used in similar experiments in the past, I was granted permission to use two D-Class personnel for the purpose of this first test: D-0104 and D-0606, who I’ll refer to by their names Jack and Jonathan for easier reference. Jack is in his early twenties, at age twenty-one, meanwhile Jonathan is in his early thirties, age thirty-three to be exact. Jack was shorter, and had a cheerful personality. Jonathan on the other hand was slightly taller, and had an overall cold personality. A complete opposite.
The test started as usual, with the Soul Extractor first extracting Jack’s essence and storing it inside the machine before I turned the crane towards Jonathan and did the same. Once both of their essences have been stored, their bodies cease any higher brain activities. Dr. Matthews checked the vessels himself. No reactions to external stimuli, as earlier noted.
Once back on the console, I immediately re-implanted their essence, but in the opposite bodies. As soon as both bodies received each other’s souls, all higher brain functions resumed. Both Jack and Jonathan reported feeling a slight disorientation with the height shift, as well as the change of musculature. Jack remained cheerful, and relished the feeling of being inside the body of Jonathan. Jonathan, meanwhile, admitted displeasure in Jack’s smaller body, and demanded they switch back. I declined, and Dr. Matthews had them escorted by guards back to their cells for further observation.
Experiment-04:
It has been two weeks since the switch, and both have slowly adjusted into their new vessels and designation, albeit Jonathan still complaining in his new form. I have requested the Site Director to assign these D-Classes only for my project, for further testing and observation, and has been approved. Psychiatric evaluation of the two were mostly similar to their respective evaluation results pre-experimentation, but with slight improvement. Jack reported to have been even more positive, confident, and chirpy in Jonathan’s body. Jonathan, although reported to still demand to get his old body back, has shown to feel less insecure about himself as he did in his own body and was starting to get active. Experiments 02 and 03 have confirmed these as well, though the next obstacle is that neither got the memories of their respective bodies. They retained their own memories, as if it was coded in their essence themselves.
Further background checks on both showed that Jack exhibited body dysmorphic disorder prior to incarceration, while Jonathan himself was suffering from gerascophobia, or the irrational fear of getting old. Dr. Matthews, after assessing this information, has concluded and reported to me that the switch may have resolved their personal dilemma: with Jack gaining a body that he was confident in, and Jonathan aging younger. This has led to the first part of the project being a success. Onto the next part then, memory replication.
Experiment-06:
Experiment-05 had just consisted of me exploring the machine options that Professor Crow unlocked a while back, to see if I could split their memories, replicate, then insert. Jack and Jonathan thought they were going to be transferred back to their old bodies, and both expressed disappointment, until I reassured them that I was merely planning to test the split function. They relented, and the test began shortly. The first essence I extracted was Jack’s from Jonathan’s body, and as soon as the crane had taken in his soul, I inputted the sequence needed that was written on some of Crow’s earlier notes.
As soon as it was in, the options “split”, “merge”, “remove aspects”, and “combine aspects” appeared. These were the functions used by Professor Crow to create Zero, a composite soul of his preferred aspects from his subjects. I pressed “split”, resulting in more options appearing such as one for personality, skills, and then memory. Almost the same appears in the “remove aspect” option, though I opted to test split first. I split Jack’s memory, and stored it in the machine. I did the same with Jonathan’s and began to work on them.
As a test, I combined the memory I split from Jack into Jonathan’s, and then put it back into the Jack vessel. He immediately regained consciousness, and reported confusion with the new memories he gained. He knew he was Jonathan, but he felt as if he was and has always been Jack. Reimplantation of Jack’s soul into the Jonathan vessel was then done, and he reported to feel nothing new. Meanwhile, Jonathan had both his own and Jack’s memories. It was as if his memory was just split but retained, and then stored before being combined into Jonathan’s.
It was a mild success, though Dr. Matthews expressed mild concern at Jonathan gaining Jack’s previous disorder should we retain Jack’s memory in his soul. I agreed, and removed Jack’s memory aspect from Jonathan’s soul, before sending them back to their cells. He also postulated that Jonathan felt confusion with two memories in him, which may cause an identity crisis should it not be resolved when utilized, hence voiding the possibility of using the machine for espionage.
Already, Dr. Matthews has shown more promise than I’ve hoped for in this experiment. Should the next two steps succeed, it would be time.
Experiment-09:
It was a success! I have managed to split both their memories, combined it with each other’s souls, and tweaked them so as to not make them feel as if they were living two lives at once. In order for one memory to not usurp their original memory, I have isolated only most of the important aspects, and removed conflicting ones such as the sense of self that was embedded in the split memory.
Jonathan only saw Jack’s memories in himself as if they were merely stored information about Jack instead of being his own, meanwhile keeping his original memories intact. The same was done to Jack, to very satisfying results. Dr. Matthews himself was pleased as well, and I commended him on his foresight that led to this outcome.
Immediate psychological evaluation for the two D-Classes further confirmed this, and was even reported to have had a sense of deeper understanding of each other and something they referred to as a “close bond”. They could also access each other’s memories with ease, recalling them “as if they were there” to see it themselves but merely as an observer. They were also able to recall feelings and emotions in these memories, rather than just visual, auditory, olfactory information. They are set to be observed for the next couple of weeks, as the experiment was a huge success but I still had one more job to do.
It’s to plan how to use the machine on myself and Dr. Matthews, and get it to work on its own without me on the console.
Experiment-10:
I have done extensive reading of Professor Crow’s Experiment Log 158-AG in hopes of gaining more insight as to how to get the machine to perform operations itself, or at least with the use of a series of codes. There isn’t much for it to do the necessary splitting and splicing, but I found a sequence for it to manually implant the souls it has collected. It would be more of a problem than I hoped. Dr. Matthews is absent for this experiment, as I have told him to check more on Professor Crow’s logs, and oversee further psychiatric evaluation of Jack and Jonathan.
There was, of course, one viable option for me. But I may have to get creative to get it under the Foundation’s nose.
Experiment-15:
I have enlisted the help of Jack. For the past four experiments, I have trained him under the guise of testing if he had gained Jonathan’s adeptness with machines and codes after implanting him with the man’s memories and skills. On the other hand, I have ordered Dr. Matthews to take Jonathan to test if he gained Jack’s verbal and written prowess, as well as the man’s IQ.
Jack showed promise, and he learned how to operate the machine much faster than I anticipated. He had successfully done as instructed all the functions I myself was able to perform with the machine, and even did so much quicker and smoother than I could. He mentioned just being thankful; although he knew that his remaining time was short as a D-Class, the experiment has done him good and even mentioned being mutually attracted to Jonathan, which was why he was doing his best on this test.
I told him it was for a different purpose, but commended him nonetheless. Now that all was prepared, all I needed was an alibi and specific instructions for Jack to initiate the switch.
Experiment-16:
It was time. This was Jack’s last test, with the use of other D-Classes 2223 and 1819. I had him perform the procedures on them without my verbal instructions, and time-pressured him to do it in under five minutes right after the 20-minute activation period of the machine. Some of my peers such as Dr. Jade and Professor Leeds have started to feel suspicious of my extended experiments and the last five performed separately from Matthews. I assured them and explained that it was only due to having two subjects. Though they argued that I shouldn’t let D-Class work on a machine SCP such as 158, and told me alternatives. They only stopped when I put them in their place with their recent failed experiments.
Jack was exceptional. He performed all the necessary procedures in just three minutes! I’d make it a note to write to the Site director about his potential, and perhaps convince him to promote Jack into a Site Technician, though I may have to fabricate some tests to replace these tests I just made him perform. I told him about it, and he requested that perhaps Jonathan could be promoted as well. I told him I’d try, but there’s no guarantee.
I also took the time to inform him that I need his assistance with an experiment that the director has ordered me to do. It was to make him perform onto me and Matthews the procedures he learned. He raised an eyebrow at this, and asked if I was planning on something. Of course, he doesn’t know nor does he have any way of knowing that I was bluffing. So I told him that the director has ordered us senior researchers to have our consciousness be “backed-up” in our assistant researchers in case of another containment breach. I told him I trained him because I was the only other person who knew how to do this besides Dr. Matthews, him, and the suspended Crow. He relented, and I told him we’d do it immediately the next day.
Experiment-17:
I really don’t know how to write these logs but Dr. Ravens told me I should at least input the procedure and my observation during the test, and then he’d continue after. Actually, is this like a diary of some sort? A journal? I have no idea. He didn’t permit me to read the other logs so, I’m writing these blindly. Anyway, on with the experiment.
The procedures are weird. But it wasn’t my place to question them since—well, I’m a D-Class, human cannon fodder. Anyway, my instructions were to extract both their souls, and then split Dr. Matthews’ memory, before combining it with Dr. Ravens’ soul. And then do the same again with the other soul. This was the weirdest part: Dr. Ravens wanted me to rewrite the memory in Dr. Matthews’ soul with a modified version of his, and then proceed to switch their souls like they did with me and Jonathan. Plenty weird, like I did with Patrick and Calvin yesterday. So basically, they’d switch souls, and maybe even memory except that Dr. Ravens retains his but he’ll be in Matthews’ body. I did as told, and then re-implanted the souls back.
Another weird part is that I don’t think Dr. Matthews knew about it? I mean, he was surprised when I directed the extractor onto his chest earlier. Dr. Ravens assured me that he knew. I shrugged it off, and now I’m confused who I should address as Dr. Ravens, because Matthews in his body ordered me and Ravens in Matthews’ body to leave. Of course now I’ll give this log to—
Post Experiment Log:
It’s a huge success! Jack has successfully put me in Matthews—or should I say my new body now. Of course, he didn’t need to remember it, so I convinced Matthews—or now Dr. Ravens to let me run one more test. He was a little confused, but relented in the end, saying he needed to lie down. When he did leave, I extracted Jack’s soul, and removed his memory of anything that happened today, before dismissing him. I was Matthews now, although I think I’ll have to refer to myself as Henry if I wanted to blend in. I may have demoted myself, but at least I wasn’t fifty-something anymore. And with my own and Henry Matthews’ combined intellect, I’ll rise up my rank in no time. Matthews in my body will be up and about again soon, convinced that he was me, John Ravens, and go on about his days, unaware of the swap. I could almost feel pity for him, for having replaced him, but he was the best candidate for this. And now that I have gained control of his body, there was no time for regrets. It was time for me to relish and enjoy this. Now all I need to do is to make all the necessary redacts and alteration of the logs and results before telling the new Ravens to submit it to the Site Director. I’m gonna have a grand new time.

An updated headshot of Henry Matthews on the Foundation database, taken by yours truly, Dr. John L. Ravens
End of Experimentation.

Date: [REDACTED]
Further notes:
I have adjusted well to fit Henry’s life, and have officially and permanently settled in. His body was far more than I anticipated, and not only that, he had a thriving romantic life that I didn’t have in my own. He seems to be acting as expected in my body as well, unaware of the changes, which meant that the plan was flawless. I missed these days when I wasn’t as swamped with SCP paperwork as I did when I was still senior researcher Dr. Ravens. I’ll get back there on the top some time soon, but until then, I’ll enjoy the heck out of this body first.

I said I would write something about how the big bad red found out about Judge. Well I didn't except to write so much for it. But I did! So here ya go I will have it under the keep reading so it doesn't clog your dash board.
Hope you guys enjoy!
Staring out into the desolate land that he claimed as his empire was peaceful. Though it did not have the beauty of the old world’s gardens, it had this eerie calm that he had come to enjoy while he was alone. As he stood on his balcony that overlooked his kingdom the scarlet king had many things on his mind. He had been peering into many dimensions with limited sight on them and had seen much change that would let him into any of those dimensions. But recently he felt a shift in powers, something that should not happen unless a new god was born or a child of a god is born. Now he knows that all but one of his children had been born, but he knows that the ignorant foundation is still holding the woman hostage as they do the dreadful procedure on her.
But he could shake this feeling. It was something of importance. Something has caused a shift or balance changed in one of the many realities that he knows about. So the scarlet king used all of his power to focus on finding where this source was and he found it and he did not like where it was at. He could feel the source in the hands of the foundation. The ignorant mortals think that they could do what they want, because they believe that it is their duty. He scoffed at the thought.
Contacting that dimension’s version of his cult, he asked them to get into the foundation and discover what has caused this shift. That was several years ago now. As he stands on his balcony looking over his empire as he always does. But on this day something has shifted one more. A disturbance of this being. They are angry, no, they are enraged. They are just as wrathful and hateful as he once was. When he was first brought to this reality, when he felt that painful awareness of his own reality and life. The king was taken aback by this force since he does not know what being could rival him as such. But he did not have time to ponder on it further as one of his loyal servants slammed the door to his private area and yelled.
“My king, they found what you asked!” As the servant said, he held out a thin parcel in his other hand. The king raced over to grab the parcel from the servant and commanded to leave. Once he did and he was alone. The king slowly opened the package to look at the contents that were inside. As he pulled out multiple folders and files that his spies had stolen from the foundation. But two of them piqued his interest. The files had labels on the front of them with the apparent level clearance to access these supposed files.
Typical. The Scarlet king thought as he looked at the other files that were given. They are mostly about his other children and a small orange blob. Which he didn’t understand, but put it aside with the other ones related to his children. As for the two files that first catch his many eyes. Their names were similar to one another. One was named Foundation Judge and the other was named Protocol Crimson Judge. He was definitely curious about the crimson judge one but decided to read the other one first.
Foundation Judge
SCP - [][][]
Object Class: Thaumiel
Clearance level: 3
Special Containment Procedures:
SCP - [][][] must not know about Protocol Crimson Judge. If found out, immediate termination of SCP - [][][]. However they have access to all other information within the foundation due to their level clearance.
Description:
SCP - [][][] is a humanoid being with an appearance of a caucasian female. She stands at two meters tall (6’7”) with red hair and golden eyes. She has two facial scars on her left side of her face. She wears a long red trench coat and two piece foundation clothes, boots, and gloves. Under her gloves she has hands covered in a dark hard coating on her hands, with golden talons at the end. She also has the same coating on the back of her spine.
She can also summon tendrils from her back or small portals. They are made out of the same coating as her hands and back. They can give off an electrical charge when in use in combat. This being is known as Judge and she is a level 5 foundation staff that was created by the 05 council to help secure and contain anomalies that the foundation finds.
Addendum:
The cross test between SCP 682 and Judge was a mixed result. Like with the cross test between SCP 096 and SCP 682 neither of the test subjects were able to take each other down. However, with the cross test with Judge, she was able to do more damage, but she had gained the two left scars after the cross test.
The document was rather short, but it was quite interesting that the foundation would create the things that they would lock away to help. But it seems that this SCP was a loyal dog. Meaning that she was made loyal to this pathetic group. He once again scoffs at the thought that they could do anything that could to stop him. As he put down the Foundation Judge file. He grabs the other file, “Protocol: Crimson Judge”.
Protocol: Crimson Judge
Clearance Level: 05 Council Only
Object Class: Apollyon
Warning!
This file is only meant for the 05 council and a limited number of level 5 staff members that have been a part of this clearance for over a decade and have passed Milgram obedience examination with an 80 or higher. If you do not have a clearance for this file, memetic kill agents will eliminate the target.
Information:
The following information pertains to the creation of SCP-[][][] or Foundation Judge. The creation of Judge was based off of project Olympia that was to create the perfect human. In this project known at the time as “Foundation Judge” one of the 05 councils obtained an item known as “The Essence of A God”. However there was only one use of this essence so it had to go perfect the first time. The project was a success, however it was soon revealed that “The Essence of a God” was not from a minor deity or dead god, but one of the most dangerous enemies of the foundation and is considered a 001 proposal, the Scarlet King.
Since this information was found out too late for the project, the 05 council has proposed the plan known as “The Loyal Dog Program.” This program is used to make any of the MTF take this program if they want to Join MTF Alpha 1 “Red Right Hand”. The exceptions/changes we had to do with the program was making the program last longer. Instead of 2 years this program lasted 5 years and the intensity of the program was increased. By the end of it, Judge had one last test that she would have to complete before being introduced into the Foundation as a whole.
Judge’s last task was to eliminate a former SCP Member that joined the chaos insurgency. The mission was a success and a chaos insurgency base that the former member was at, was destroyed.
However, if Judge ever becomes rouge or dangerous to the foundation, protocol Crimson Judge must be activated and Judge must be terminated afterwards. If finds out the following information about her connects to the Scarlet King, protocol Crimson Judge must be activated and must be terminated afterwards.
The rest of the file was a jarring revelation to the Scarlet king. He was shaking, but not in horror, in pure unbridled rage. The king let out a primordial scream that shook his palace. Many of his servants know that it would not be wise to go to his private room when he lets out his well known primordial roars. He was seeing more red than usual.
How DARE they!?!? How dare they use my essence for their own use!!! His thoughts were rampant and were unclear, except for one thought. Make. Them. Suffer. The king stood up to his full height and left his private room to meet with his highest servant. He knows what he must do, he must head to that dimension no matter how he does it and take Judge and end this foundation. ONE AND FOR ALL!!!!

Do you have any headcanons for Emily (scp-040)?
Pink darling!
040-1j and 040-1a are like service animals for her
Breaks the rules all the time doesn't care that she'll get in trouble if she's caught
A little creature! She's actually pretty animal like , retractable claws, a tail, sharp teeth and all that
The memories of where she came from are foggy but she remembers some of the other kids from there
She wonders if they are got out too
Absolutely loves slime
Met 542 during the Olympia project

Item #: SCP-500
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-500 must be stored in a cool and dry place away from bright light. SCP-500 is only allowed to be accessed by personnel with level 4 security clearance to prevent misapplication.
Description: SCP-500 is a small plastic can which at the time of writing contains forty-seven (47) red pills. One pill, when taken orally, effectively cures the subject of all diseases within two hours, exact time depending on the severity and amount of the subject's conditions. Despite extensive trials, all attempts at synthesizing more of what is thought to be the active ingredient of the pills have been unsuccessful.
Note From Dr. Klein:
SCP personnel below Level 3 are now banned from handling SCP-500. This is not to be used to cure a hangover. Get AIDS and then ask permission.
Request 500-1774-k
Dr. [500-0022F] has requested one (1) SCP-500 pill for testing with SCP-038. Request has been approved.
Request 500-1862-b
Dr. Gears has requested one (1) SCP-500 pill for testing in SCP-914. Request has been approved.
Request 500-2354-f
Dr. █████████ has requested one (1) SCP-500 pill for testing with SCP-253. Request denied.
Request 500-5667-e
Dr. Gibbons has requested two (2) pills of SCP-500 for his personal medkit. Request denied.
Addendum 500-1: Two (2) pills have been authorized for use with SCP-008. As a result of conducting a series of tests on Class D subjects infected with SCP-008, it appears that even in the most advanced stages of the disease one whole pill will accomplish full recovery. Number of pills is fifty-seven (57) at the time of writing. - Dr. [500-0021D]
Addendum 500-2: One (1) pill has been authorized for use with SCP-409. SCP-500 was tested on Subject 409-D5 who was exposed to the effects of SCP-409. Complete recovery accomplished. See Addendum 409-1. Number of pills is fifty-six (56) at the time of writing. - Dr. [500-0021D]
Addendum 500-4: Request 500-1774-k approved. Five (5) pills have been used in experimentation with SCP-038. It has been determined that SCP-038 is capable of duplicating SCP-500; however, the success of the duplicated pills is limited. The duplicated pills are only effective in curing the subject 30% of the time, with chance of successful healing dropping as time since cloned increases. In 60% of the cases where the infection is permanent, symptoms of infection remain, though further infestation is neutralized. Repeated dosing with SCP-038 cloned pills is recommended for all personnel suffering from incurable conditions, as supply of SCP-500 remains extremely limited. All five (5) used samples of SCP-500 were returned. Number of pills is fifty-six (56) at the time of writing.
Addendum 500-5: During experiments with SCP-038, one (1) pill was stolen by personnel D-██████ to, reportedly, "cure a hangover". Stricter controls for samples of SCP-500 given to other projects is suggested. Personnel D-██████ has been terminated. Number of pills is fifty-five (55) at the time of writing.
Addendum 500-6: One (1) pill has been used with SCP-231-4. Number of pills is fifty-four (54) at the time of writing.
Addendum 500-7: One (1) pill has been used for Experiment 447-a. Number of pills is fifty-three (53) at the time of writing.
Addendum 500-8: One (1) pill has been used with SCP-208. Number of pills is fifty-two (52) at the time of writing.
Addendum 500-9: Request 500-1862-b approved. One (1) pill of SCP-500 is placed within SCP-914 with the setting at "Fine". Resulting object classified as SCP-427. Number of pills is fifty-one (51) at the time of writing.
Addendum 500-10: Five (5) pills have been taken for the Olympia Project although only two (2) were used. The remaining three (3) will be returned shortly. Upon return, number of pills will be forty-nine (49).
Addendum 500-11: Two (2) pills have been used for Experiment 217-█████-█████. Number of pills is forty-seven (47) at the time of writing.
Addendum 500-12: Request to have SCP-500 investigated for mental compulsion leading to obsessive fixation denied for triviality.

CAIN PATHOS CROW!! Don't know what's up with that dude, but my god does he seem fun.
HE IS SUPER FUN im kind of guilty of not drawing him that much but whenever he is in anything I enjoy him immensely. My buddy ol’ pal kpc
fav thing: EASILY the most mad scientist out of all the scp doctors next to maybe mann. This dog has committed so many crimes against humanity. Never ask a woman her age a man his salary and Professor Kain Pathos Crow about project olympia
least fav thing: uhhh nothing rlly! Hes a pretty tightly written character with mostly consistent characteritzation across the wiki overall imo. Newer lolfoundation-nostalgia type tales where all the author seems to be able to do with him is put him in wacky dog situations™ suck sometimes but everyones characterization sucks in those so like. i just ignore em
favorite line: (abt extracting someones soul from their body) Hah! I've done it! It wasn't that hard.
BrOTP: Him and gears again probably though id love a tale or two about him and elliott... what can i say im a sucker for when the senior staff get protegès and also victim of experiment gone horribly wrong solidarity wohoo
OTP: /
nOTP: /
random headcanon: classical revival is so generally not very good but I like the idea that the dog whos body Kain ended up in used to be his guide dog that kind of goes hard in a sad fucked up way
unpopular opinion: /
song: /
fav pic: HAS COMMITTED UNSPEAKABLE ATROCITIES every time I think about crow I think about has committed unspeakable atrocities

As sort of an extension of that last post, I’m a little concerned about how my more original characters are being/going to be received. Though I’m willing to say the way I write Iris and Jackie is pretty original - in Jackie’s case, she didn’t even have any tales on the site - I’ve still got sort of a built-in interest in them, Iris especially. People know SCPs and they care about Iris. Anne’s an original character, but I feel like her character archetype is almost guaranteed to be popular.
September is well-recieved, I think? It’s hard to tell, but people seem to like her. It’s not like she’s featured very heavily in many articles, though. The main concerns I have are around Ines and Gamma and that crop of characters. I was really, really proud of Redwood Labs when I published it, and got a lot of really strong feedback when I published it, only for it to flounder in the mid to high tens in ratings. I can say “a subtle inclusion of Olympia Project and 784-ARC won’t have a lot of pre-existing fans, the title wasn’t very good, and the tale was long” all I want, and while these aren’t wrong, at a certain point it feels like cope. The article got a Reviewer’s Spotlight and it didn’t do much for it, which I find to be the most damning evidence. Closed Beta, which was shorter but still relatively long, did worse than Redwood Labs.
I really like the characters in those and was really happy with the finished product with them, and in both cases I went a little outside of my comfort zone in different ways, but they both performed very bad. I want to write more stuff with those characters and plan on having them be pretty important in Devil’s Advocate, but again, do people even want to see that in the first place? I know I might be jumping the gun as I haven’t set of these characters fully or given them a concrete place in the narrative, but it does weigh on me a bit.

Note
oh man, tell me everything abt judge, absolutely everything
Mod's Notes: Oh damn...... that's a loaded question, but I'll give an outline and go from there.
scp 5312 or Foundation Judge is a made anomaly created by the 05 council.
The project was based off of project Olympia with the difference being that they used something know as the essences of a god for the project.
Turns out that essences was from the big bad, the scarlet king.
So Judge had to go through many years of intense of loyalty training for the 05 council.
Judge does not know about her connections to the scarlet king and it's for the better.
If found out, Protocol Crimson Judge must be activated and Judge must be terminated or something bad will happened.
But that hasn't happened so Judge's role is to help capture and contain anomalies at different sites.
Because of her connections to the big bad red, she has a decent immunity to anomalous affects that she has interacted so far.
YES, she was cross tested with 682.
As for other anomalous abilities she have are summon tendrils from her back and through small portals, anomalous strength and durability, and can produce electrical charges from her hands and tendrils (only there and nowhere else).
OKAY!!! That as much as I can think of, but if you guys got anymore specific questions, let me know!!!!

Facts About Judge (SCP 5312)
Judge is a Foundation made anomaly, created by the 05 Council for the purpose of aid of capturing new SCPs out in the field, as well as reducing containment breaches at the many different sites, but mainly at site 19.
Judge classification is Thaumiel due to her role that the 05 Council was in on her creation. But If she ever did fall out of line with 05, she immediately becomes Keter and placed into lock down.
Protocol 820 Iron Maiden, is the protocol that 05 activates if Judge is ever deemed a threat to the foundation than an aid.
Judge has a level clearance equivalent to level 5, but with several pieces of data [REDACTED] from her due the connection and the sensitivity that this data has.
Judge has been with the foundation now in training for several decades, only joining fully 4 years ago after all her intense training.
You Must have level 5 clearance or security access Crimson Judge to access these files. You have been warned.
Access Granted
SCP 5312 also known as Judge or Foundation’s Judge was an extension of Project “Olympia” a project to create the perfect human. However the 05 council had come across some called “The essences of a god”.
There was only so much to create one being so the 05 council created project “Foundation Judge” with the bases of Project “Olympia’s” Research as a base for it.
The project was a success, however it was soon found out that the essence of a god was not from a minor deity or dead god, but a very much alive god. One of the foundation's worst enemies, the scarlet king.
Because this information was discovered too late, the 05 council had decided to do loyalty training for the next 5 years and then use amnestic to cover it up.
This means Judge is in fact only 9 years old instead of the 37 that the foundation and Judge have said.
If SCP 5312 ever becomes rouge, protocol Crimson Judge is to be activated and SCP 5312 must be terminated after the protocol has been activated.
SCP 5312 must never find out about this information, if she does the protocol Crimson Judge must be activated and SCP 5312 must be terminated, not given amnesties.
