🌼 FOR SOMEONE I KNOW 🌼 Cancer is a universal experience. Everyone has a story about survival, strength, love & loss. 1 in 2 people - 50% of the population of Australia - will be diagnosed with a form of cancer in their lifetime. That's staggering. Whether it's their own journey, or that of someone they love, no one is left untouched. So much progress towards a cure has been made through the support of organisations like The Cancer Council. I have personally been on the receiving end of life-saving treatment made possible through their actions, and with that, am so proud to be a Cancer Council ambassador for 2017. As part of that role, I wrote 'For Someone I Know', eponymously named for this year's Daffodil Day campaign. It is a song for anyone who has ever been in a hospital bed, or by the bedside, because of this disease. I am so lucky to have had some wildly talented musical friends, and my beautiful mum, as partners in this collaboration. Today, we've made it available for the world to hear exclusively through iTunes! The best part is that ALL THE PROCEEDS OF SALE will be donated straight back to the Cancer Council to help them continue their work. So please listen, share with a friend & let's help spread awareness this week so that maybe one day, we won't have to.
