Art camp day 5/5:

last day!

1-2. I found a closet full of nicknacks and found some stuff I was exited to study (I want to revisit the telephone tho I don’t like it)

3. Me and 3 others each did an exercise where we sketched on a paper for 10 minutes, the. Passed it so we ended up with 4 collabs. This is the only one I have tho :’(

4. Our last gallery was a fashion exhibit, everything was gorgeous and I’m so happy I got to sketch it <3

Do you think any of the Homra members would like the lively swing dances of the 40s and 50s? Like the ones where you literally swing your dance partner and do those "out there" moves? I can kinda see Yata getting into it.

Absolutely imagining this as Totsuka’s newest hobby, he puts old swing music on the bar’s jukebox and starts swinging Anna around (Kusanagi is all worried that he’s going to accidentally hurt her but Anna is having the time of her life, she immediately grabs the edge of Mikoto’s shirt and stares hopefully at him until he dances with her). The Homra guys are initially a little wary about this, like dancing is for losers and especially old-timey kinds of dances, who does that except retirees. Totsuka is relentless though, he thinks it would be fun for everyone to learn these old dances. I could see the Homra guys getting into it once they start though, especially since you know Totsuka would be totally focusing on the really wild moves because those are the most exciting. 

Yata is probably one of the biggest holdouts, claiming that dancing is for girls and trying to wave Totsuka off when he keeps asking. Eventually his resolve is worn down by Anna’s pleading stare and it turns out that he really likes it, Yata always enjoys anything that lets him really move his body and he picks up the steps super quick. Imagine this happening when Fushimi’s still in Homra too, he categorically refuses to participate but Yata manages to goad him into it and Yata ends up swinging Fushimi around with Fushimi matching him step for step. Afterward Fushimi is all red-faced and panting and claiming he’s never doing this again, but there’s a flush on his face deeper than just exertion and Totsuka smiles secretively. The only thing that eventually stops the party is Kusanagi, who is all for everyone learning less violent ways to work out their energy but who is also very not in support of them doing it in his bar where they probably keep having close calls with various fragile glasses and such.

I have a serious hoarding disorder and I'm not 🚫 talking about oh haha ... my room is sooo messy I am talking about I have multiple uncompleted MacDonald's monopoly maps that I can't bear to part with a container of cinnamon hearts that have been sitting on a shelf for two years I have fucking, yard sale advertisements that I took off bulletin boards two years ago that I can't bear to get rid of. I have about 30 or 40 of them.

It’s a little weird for me to see all these interpretations of a young Ganondorf as some kind of perpetually -shirtless child supermodel when I personally see him as a cross between Amanda Rule-of-Rose (including the orphanhood and childhood adversity [she DID grow up in a British orphanage run by a neglectful scumbag in the 1910s-20s], its attendant emotional problems and attachment issues, precocious life skills, secret hideout, hilariously overwrought diary entries, and extremely off-putting ways of apologizing and trying to make friends) and an ichimatsu doll.

I know a lot of people think he’s handsome, and want to believe he was always handsome, but I feel like it’d be more fitting if his childhood self was this hilariously awkward, oversensitive, and vulnerable thing that he’s been desperately trying to get away from ever since, and yet in some ways hasn’t changed from at all. For example, he’d be just as likely to do the “leave a letter in their room and watch them through a crack in the door to make sure they read it” thing to someone he’s trying to sincerely apologize to as an adult as he would as a child.
