Cardigan
“…uda-san.”
The sound of someone calling her name stirring the bespectacled girl in her sleep and thus, she slowly opens her eyes with drowsiness still engulfing her state. She was staring back at a small pair of eyes which belong to yellow octopus who was wearing his usual cheerful smile.
Her homeroom teacher.
“Why are you sleeping here, Okuda-san?” asked Koro-sensei with worried tone.
Okuda was perplexed.
Was it due to her drowsiness state or something else but his question wasn’t completely registered in her mind. After a few second or so, she looked around her to see where she was.
She saw a rack of test tubes and sort of varied chemicals lining in the room. She noticed she was still at the chemistry laboratory to test new chemical she stumbled upon while browsing the Internet a few days ago.
Plus, she also was about to create new batch of chloroform due to someone’s request but she couldn’t put her hand on who asked her so.
Then she realized she forgot to answer her teacher’s prior question. She throws him a bashful smile who was still looking at her with his wide grin. “I’m sorry. I must fell asleep while waiting for the reaction to happen.” Okuda replied – unaware of a black knitted cardigan that wrapped around her shoulder when she arched her back to relieve muscle strain as the cloth fell onto the floor.
Koro sensei hastily took the cardigan that fell on the floor and gave it to her with grimaced. “Ah, you must not do that, Okuda-san especially at a deserted school building like this all by yourself. Thank goodness I keep my eye on the surrounding in case any unwanted intruder breaks in.”
Okuda accepted the cardigan with puzzled look – wondering whose it belong to. She looked up with guilty expression. “I’m sorry Koro sensei. It won’t happen again next time.”
Koro sensei dismissed her with his usual ‘fufufu’ laugh. “Are you working here by yourself?” He inquired. Usually, the red-haired boy accompanied her to create some nasty pranks or weapons to kill him which bring chill to all their classmates. However, there was no sign of him anywhere.
She shook her head. “I’m supposed to be with Karma-kun but he had to leave in midway because of an important matter.” She answered with cheery voices.
Koro sensei nodded, accepting her answer. “Oh, well! You should be go home now or your parents would be worried but I bet they are now unless you informed them first hand. Be careful on your way home then.”
Okuda beamed at him. “Hait!” After clearing up the table and placing back the test tube on the rack, she grabbed her bag underneath the table and bid him goodbye. The door closed behind her with soft thud. Koro sensei merely watching her figure disappeared from his sight as he continued reading the reference book he bought from nearby store.
                                                            x
On the way home, Okuda was trying so hard to remember whose the black cardigan belong to when the familiar scent catch her nose.
“Ah, Karma-kun!” She exclaimed. “Silly me! He was the only person breaks the school rule by wearing this cardigan. He must be stopping by when I was dozing off. I’ll make sure to give the chloroform he requested next Monday. Moreover, the result of using smoke bomb containing BB pellets must be intriguing him.” She grinned, imagining Karma’s mischievous smile.
Holding the cardigan close to her body as his scent infiltrated her nose, her cheek smeared with a hint of blush. “He is such a nice person.” She mumbled softly.

Because it's never enough love for this ship, with my colleague we decided to create only one week for them.
Welcome are all those who like to participate! ♥
Official themes:
Day 1: Red.
It was significant color for both. And their favorite.
Day 2: Fairy tale.
Sometimes, fairy tales could take a more … exciting course.
Day 3: Codename.
A little reminder of good times and complicity.
Day 4: Hands.
Warm, comprehensive, capable and lethal.
Day 5: Possesion.
There was not born to share, it was not in his nature.
Day 6: Koro-sensei.
It was like a promise unsaid, unspoken agreement, always take care of each other.
Day 7: Chloroform.
Sweet and pleasant smell, but highly fatal.
And that’s it! Do not forget to read the official rules of the event and, if you have any questions, ask me!
We hope everyone has fun!

Surprise
She was busy preparing dinner while occasionally throw a glance at the clock. She gasped to see how fast the time flies and he will be home any minute. She has to be quick.
Plus, she planned to give him a surprise tonight. Automatically, a soft smile carved on her face.
Right then, her apron was being tugged and so she looked down - only to find her 6 years old son, Dharma gazing at her with curiosity.
“Mommy, why is there a cake in the fridge?” He looked just like him but his eyes were much softer like her.
Okuda chuckled as she ruffled his flame hair. “Mommy has a surprise for daddy and we’re also going to celebrate your achievement at school. Would you like that?”
His face brightened almost instantly. “Yes! Do you want me to help you, mommy?”
“Thank you, dear. You can help me by preparing the table.”
Not long after that, Karma announced that he is home as he loosened his tie. He smiles serenely and gone all his fatigue when seeing his wife and son welcoming him home warmly.
Dharma hugged his left leg while Okuda took his briefcase and his coat. He planted a soft kiss on her temple and his son’s right cheek as he scooped him.
“Dinner is ready. Do you want to eat first?” Okuda asked.
“Yeah. I’m hungry.” He didn’t hide his amusement when he saw variety of dishes on the table. “Are we celebrating something today?”
Okuda merely laughed. “Sort of.”
The family were enjoying their dinner with Dharma told about how he ace all paper and placed first in the class.
“That’s my son. Too bad you aren’t mischief like me.” Karma grinned.
“Karma.” Okuda pleaded and shook off their son confusion. “Nothing, Dharma. Eat your dinner.”
Dharma nodded - didn’t bother to ask more. Just then, his ear perked up. “Daddy, I’m going to have sibling!” He exclaimed and quickly shut his mouth with his small hand. He looked at his mother with guilty expression. “Showwy, mommy.”
Okuda shrugged it off with smile. She watched her husband’s expression changed from shock to delightful.
“Surprise.”
He grinned. “How many month?”
She chuckled softly. “Two month.”

Blood
It was late, Okuda concluded as she glanced at the digital clock on the wall where it shows 11 in the evening.  She cleared up her table and stacking the paperwork nicely on the tray. Next week,  she will be presenting her work to board of directors where she will know her fruit of hard work. Although she felt a bit down when her colleagues constantly told her it was a failure experiment, it didn’t dampen her hope.
She looked behind her for one last time. After feeling satisfied with the condition of the laboratory, she grabbed her handbag and heading out. However, she didn’t get to move too far when a flash mob of red hair blocking her exit while huffing loudly. As if he was running to reach here.
Okuda gasped.
So many thoughts occurred into her mind. What if this person is a rapist or someone from secret agency who was ordered to kill her due to her nature of work? However, the security in her workplace have highest security set up and in order to enter, they need paperwork, working identification card and thumbprint.
How was this man breached the security? Is he one of the employee here? She didn’t have any weapon to protect herself but she could throw a few chemical beaker placed align at the rack next to her.
Her right hand was almost touch the beaker when the stranger looked up.
Okuda baffled because she never saw a pair of strong gaze eyes especially his mercury eyes as if he was staring right into her soul. His face looked young and she wondered if he was in the same age as her.
She wasn’t expecting a smile but she had to admit he has a charming smile with a hint of mischievous if she focused a bit.
She decided to cut the awkwardness atmosphere between them. “Urm, sir – you…” Okuda wasn’t able to finish her words when the man suddenly leaning forward and placing his forehead on her shoulder causing her to be stiff like a board due to sudden contact.
“You’re Okuda Manami, right?” He inquired.
“Ye – yes!” She yelped. Her posture was still stiff but she can feel his body vibrating due to his laughter. “Y – You’re cold as ice, sir.” She commented.
He scoffed weakly. “I am. My close friend told me you’re good in creating dangerous stuff and I can trust my life with you. Mind if you can whip something up like artificial blood?” He asked - in between taking a short breath.
Okuda was taken aback with his sudden request. She replied with doubt voice. “Your close friend I guess must be Nagisa-kun. Ho - how do you know I create artificial blood? Never mind that. But sir, I didn’t know the effectiveness of the blood because I never test it before. What are you going to do with that sir…” He cuts her word off.
“Stop with the ‘sir’ calling name. My name is Karma Akabane but you can call me Karma.” He glanced at her with weary look. She was about to say something when his next words caught her off guard.
“... You see I’m a vampire but I had never taste human blood before but I dare not to. Before I start to kill innocent human, I need something as strong as blood to quench my thirst and the pill I’ve had before didn’t bring much help. Think you can do that for me, Okuda-san?” His eyelids were starting to close and so does his posture which is getting wobbly against her body.
He was tired and hungry, after all.
Okuda didn’t think twice. She was determined to help him. Although she was still skeptical with the fact he claimed himself a vampire, she has had to aid him first.
He trusts her and that’s all matter to her. She will make it work.
First, she helped him by leaning his back against the wall. Then, locked the door after making sure the coast is clear and switched on the lamp to brighten up her laboratory. She throws a side glance at Karma who was snoring softly before gathering all apparatus needed to test her experiment whether it was successful or not. “Thank you Karma-kun for trusting me.”
