Sadly all I have been able do when listening to music for well over a month is relate it to jayvik so I need to share that One Upon a Poolside by The National and Sufjan Stevens feels so Coming Home (But Not To You) to me. I think it’s actually about having to perform when depressed but some of the lines sent me into a jayvik spiral

So. This was meant to be a sketch page of many ocs but... I used the style I use to draw my pirate ocs for Alegreya and then got entirely distracted because I then tried to play the pirate game, failed to load it, and played the wizard game instead 😔

ANYWAYS. Alegreya!

I believe that monsters, since they're made of magic, can change their shape under extreme moments of emotion or stress. So, back when I made Alegreya years back, I decided that she was a monster who decided she wanted to protect humans from the Royal Guard, and through her conviction (and each failure) she made herself look more and more human.

Each patch on her jacket represents the souls she wasn't able to protect. The white one is meant to kinda show the loss of her personhood to her goal, but also her distrust in monster-kind, hense the rip!

Her weapon is a morning star made of blue magic, and she usually sticks to melee attacks.

Bonus! I don't have her original design art, but I took the time to hunt down her latest re-sketch I did like. 2 years ago lmao.

I did the new version from memory so I'm not surprised to find so many changes tbh- and the short hair is smth I wanted to change for sure because too many of my humanoid ocs have this like side-shave hairstyle and Alegreya had to escape finally lmao-
