‘ one mistake almost ruins the entire date (but don't fear, for nishimura riki is here!). drabble style

“are you being serious right now, riki?”

your anxiety levels peaked as u stare at your boyfriend in disbelief. he shares your panic and frowns.

“why would i lie about this, babe?” he answers, his tone nervous. niki looked like he was going to shit his pants— whereas you would’ve taken a photo of if it weren’t for the current circumstances. “please forgive me.”

“i’m so close to punching you right now, nishimura. who forgets their wallet on a date at a millionaire’s restaurant?” you whisper-shouted.

there was a server behind you two, secretly eyeing you both in suspicion while handing out the meals. any decibel louder and the security might be called in.

“i’m sorry, okay?” niki pleads, his hands pressed together in a begging motion. you sigh and shake your head.

so much for a date night.

it took both of you weeks of preparation to be able to match the restaurant’s vibe. the establishment being settled at the top of the namsan seoul tower made the prices (un)reasonably expensive.

your boyfriend, who was on your last nerve, dismissed your worries on whether the prices were too high (quote: “i got the money under control. just leave it to me, princess ;).

turns out all his smugness about the finances went back and bit him in the butt seeing as how he forgot his card at home— almost an hour from the tower AND no one is back there to fetch it for him. talk about bad luck.

“if i could just call jay-hyung to go back and bring it here then mayb-“ a voice cut him off. you turn to the sound and your heart drops down to your ass. the last possible person you’d ever want to see.

“excuse me, sir and ma’am,” the staff started off. “we’ve noticed that you’ve… um… been finished for quite some time and,” they give you an awkward smile. both of you reciprocate.

“were wondering if there is anything else you’d like to order, or if you’d like the bill now?” your eyes widen. you whip your head to your boyfriend and signal with your eyes ‘no!’. he looks indecisive and nudges your foot underneath the table.

you held back a remark and resorted to softly kicked his shin instead.

“um… we’d actually like to order this special please,” you point to the menu, “if we can.”

the waiter grins and nods his head. he straightens his posture and walks back to the kitchen, ready to inform the team of the new order.

“riki. babe. love of my life. please call jay right now, i’m afraid this distraction won’t last long,” you lean over the table and grip his hands in yours. niki’s phone was in his hand, dialing the numbers of your potential saviour.

“it’ll be fine, n/n,” he assures you, rubbing his thumb over yours in an attempt to calm you down. “the most we’ll get is a scolding- but at least we won’t wash dishes!” niki laughs.

you roll your eyes and pinch him, inciting a small ‘hey!’ from the boy. while he did relax your nerves- just a little bit- the annoyance from earlier was still there.

with other couples chat in brisk, you two are stuck in a dilemma with only one person to rely on. your hands still intertwined, niki squeezes yours as comfort- whether for you or himself, we’ll never know.

“if we finish this next meal and jay isn’t here, consider this our last restaurant date, ‘ki.”

niki’s eyes widen in fright, practically leaping over the table to grab your shoulders. he shakes you around like a ragdoll while the other customers send over weird stares, their own conversations dimming down slowly.

“wait- please don’t say that, babe!”

The PhotoShoot

Something I wrote a few months ago but I’m not gonna finish it so I might as well post it :P

Summary: Niki will do any photoshoot as long as he gets paid, but he can’t lie seeing Remy like this was cathartic

Niki POV, Wren x Remy, humiliation, incomplete

Niki just wanted to do his job. It kept the heat off him. And yes, it was almost unbearable to look Remy’s victims in the eyes as they put on whatever deranged show the man desired, but that’s what he had to do to get by. At the end of the day, a contract was a contract. He repressed any emotion as much as possible during those shoots.

But he couldn’t lie, seeing Remy like this did give him a sadistic sort of vindication. He almost teased him, but held his tongue. Watching Remy try to pull down the cow-print skirt while desperately looking anywhere but him was enough.

A cow-print tube top, skirt, and thigh highs. Even a bell collar. They had really committed to the look. The man accompanying him, Wren, in a crimson tailored suit laughed when he noticed.

“I was tempted to keep him all to myself, but you know a bet’s a bet.” He winked at him.

“I really want to get my money's worth for these pictures, so if he needs any directions give them to him. But once he gets into it he probably won’t need any encouragement.” Wren laughed. Obviously the humiliation was the point, but he just nodded demurely. If he antagonized Remy now, he’d have to pay for it later.

Though, Wren could trust his five thousand dollars were well spent. He did wonder what kind of bet it would take for Remy to debase himself on camera.

“Shut-up!” Remy snapped back at Wren, who just laughed.

“Now Remy, you know cows can’t talk.” He laughed, before grabbing Remy by his hair. “What do cows say?” He asked, an edge to his voice. Visibly shaken Remy squeaked out a moo. And Wren released him.

So even someone like Remy could find themselves at the bottom of some fucked up hierarchy. It was a tantalizing fantasy, to be the one holding the leash for once, but just as quickly as it consumed him he repressed it. It was time for business after all.

“Ok, Mr. Wren-“

“Wren is fine Niki.” The way he said his name had the promise of a bet in it. He refocused and cleared his throat before continuing.

“Wren, you requested solo and couples shots right? Will there be several outfits or just this one? And will you be his partner for today?”

“Just one outfit and me today. My little cow can take the biggest bulls, but I want to keep him all to myself today.”

“Wren!” Remy spoke up again, sounding scandalized. Wren grabbed him by the waist and methodologically spanked him ten times before muttering.

“What do cows say? I wouldn’t want these photos to end up circulating. But my fingers might slip if I have to keep repeating myself.” Remy immediately pressed himself against Wren like he was begging, moos shooting out of his mouth in desperation. Wren’s smile once Remy broke unsettled him. But it seemed he was placated for now.

“Like I was saying, this little cow can’t produce very much milk but he always does his best to make the real bulls feel good. Can’t keep himself off of them. So we made him an official position and we wanna show what kind of services he has to offer.” So it was a roleplay thing too. He could work with that.

“Well sir, I have some wonderful poses that will really help your adverts pop. All the studs will know exactly who to go to once I’m done.” When he realized that he was playing along with him, Wren smiled at him and he tried to ignore how it made him feel.

He grabbed Remy and brought him over to the posing station. Model shots were always a good way to start. He made him kneel and look up like he was ready to give some oral service. It would have been quite appealing if he wasn’t staring at him with all the hatred he could muster. Well maybe Wren would like the bratty look, who knew with these freaks. He snapped some shots with him posed like that, making small adjustments and movements.

“If you’re gonna glare, pout. That lip gloss you're wearing really makes your lips pop darling.” He’d defaulted to model mode, but it seemed Remy didn’t take offense. He looked behind him questioningly before pouting for him. So Remy was going to be agreeable, this changed everything. Once those shots were completed he told him to stand.

“Alright, bend a little bit and stick your butt out. You service bulls with both ends right? We gotta show off all your assets.” Remy bent a little, but not enough to really give him the look he was going for. Wren jeered from the sidelines.

“‘C’mon show Niki your panties! You have them on right?” Wren said. Despite his casual demeanor, he could hear threatening undertones. He heard a whiny moo before Remy turned around to show him his butt and lifted his skirt. And to his surprise cow-print panties greeted him. He snapped a few pictures. Remy wriggled his butt, but for whose benefit he wasn’t sure.

The tinkle of the cow bell seemed almost hypnotic. Once those shots were taken, he took them to Wren for inspection. His gaze grew hungrier the more he looked and when he made it to the panty shots he licked his lips.

“Next time I’ll get some nude solo shots, you're amazing.” He sounded almost reverent. It wasn’t the first time a customer had had this reaction, but it was certainly the first time he’d reacted to it. He tried to move forward casually.

“Alright now that we’ve got those photos, we can move onto the couples photos. I’ve got some poses in mind, but feel free to give me any guidance.”

“I just want him on my lap, you can pose us however you want.” Wren said eagerly. He pointed them towards the prop couch

"YEYEY!" You beam full of energy as you run toward the tv to watch your favorite cartoon. You were up so early before Niki, because you were feed with proper meal for a great lust demon as yourself. YwY. You have lots of energy to watch a whole marathon of episodes!

While you hug your favorite plushie, in your fifth episode of the day, you heard Niki walking toward the kitchen. "Servant good morning! UwU!" You wave at him and went to look at the tv again as the best scene comes to play.

"Woah... Your up so early..." Niki peak in the door frame as you swing your head with the beat of the opening song of the cartoon. "Well this great master of yours is well feed♪⁠ヽ⁠(⁠･⁠ˇ⁠∀⁠ˇ⁠･⁠ゞ⁠)" you don't look at him as your focus on your show. "So you 'just' get your fill huh.... " You heard him mumble in a weird teasing tone.

"So I don't really feed you well before, master?" -Niki.

"You did! You cook lots of good food :> that's why I don't really mind doing the usual food intake for lust demons :p " you were being too honest to the point Niki wonder if your high on something. He sigh hopeless with a chuckle, he went back to the kitchen to cook you meals.

You smelled Niki dish cooking some hamburger steak and you get distracted from the show and went to spy on him cooking.

This is more interesting, you thought as you hug Niki from behind peaking in the side to look at the delicious burger steaks his making. "Servant, servant! I want it with lots of garlic today...(⁠*⁠´⁠ω⁠｀⁠*⁠)" You shamelessly ask him.

"Hmm ok, master ~" Niki nodded with a chuckle, enjoying the moment with you. He sometimes wonder if your shameless to this point since when he wakes up, he was embarrassed and shy about what happened last night.

Yet before he can say something, he heard you went to the living room and watch cartoons, thinking you been sneaky about it.

He was thinking what to say to you for like 5 episode of that cartoon your watching but decide to act like normal, since you seems back to normal.

...

Watching you eat the meal he prepared, made him smile. Even how many times he saw it.

"Niki, Niki..." He saw you pause for a moment as if remembering something then called for him. "Do you want to meet my dad?" You ask him out of the blue.

"H-huh....?!" he was taken back by your question. His eyes widen looking at you. He don't take you as someone who was born as a demon, he thought your spawn creation something... How come no one went to picks you up then?

"You have a dad?"

".... Well I guess..... I remember that person telling me to go home if I eaten my first [ desire ] from someone..." You were really out of it and high on something, cause you won't say this in normal occasion. Normally you won't say something like this but being feed desire and especially from a Gluttony made you felt like your in some happy pills.

"... Oh so I was your first." He felt his heart skip a beat, hearing it made his cheeks warm but he tried to laugh it off even so he felt so happy hearing that.

He almost went to look for a list of people to eat if not...

"Nom... Usually I won't say that... I don't really have anyone to say that anyway." You start to mumbling to yourself as you eat your second serving of the meal.

"... " You suddenly become silent when you remember your parents... you stopped eating as well. Niki looks at you in worry.

"MC is there something wrong??"

".... Nevermind I don't think you should meet my dad. Someone like him ...is not worth the time." Your mood quickly shifted as memories of before come in mind.

...

"Dad... Wheres mama?" The young you ask your father who's about to put beauty mask before bed.

You peak from the door frame to look at him, he quickly went to pick you up and pinch your very precious cheeks.

"Hmm? Where...~? Ohh~ well somewhere ~ " he chuckle as he place you in his lap, while he seat on his mirror. "Your mama is quite a charmer, she's in another adventure again.... " He seems sad in his eyes even so he show a smile. "When is she coming back...?"

"Who knows.... Maybe she will get lost in our world again..." His eyes seems distance thinking of the past.

"You won't look for her?"

"I don't even know where to start... Or where it end, sweetie...." Said a broken hearted man. Who have lost hope of finding his beloved.

"Ehhh why~" Niki ask you in wonder. What's the fast change of mind? How odd. Is your dad going to be against him?

What should he do in such unfortunate matter....

".... His going to seduce you! So no way!" you pout not wanting to have Niki to be stolen away.

"Ooh..." The demon of gluttony cannot help but chuckle at your response which made you frown but continue to eat the food from the plate.

"Servant, it's not funny matter. That person is greater than this great master of yours. (⁠´⁠°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥⁠ω⁠°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥⁠｀⁠) He have more beauty than others. >.> That doesn't stop that wife of his to escape thru... " You mumble the last part feeling disappointment to that so called father of yours. "That person is so old he just step down and die." You cannot help but curse that so called dad.

"Ah? You hate your dad, mc?" That's a surprise.

"Obviously. He told me I'm not beautiful Enough to take his spot >:T, that the first one who's beautiful is him, then his wife then that annoying demon called mayoi Ayase." You hit the table in hate. But saw the food almost fall off the plate and quickly apologize. "Then there's his brother who's more beautiful than me in line. >:v HIS A HATEFUL DEMON!" you felt mad when you remember it.

"Well that's quite bad to say to your own child." Niki cannot help but see your point. He stared at you, with a messy face and trying to not burn your tongue from hot cocoa. Your quite a mess yet. "But my master is very beautiful so he most have problem with his vision."

"........(⁠｡⁠・⁠/⁠/⁠ε⁠/⁠/⁠・⁠｡⁠)really?" You felt shy from his sudden compliment. He nodded his head as he went to clean the mess of food you have in your face.

"Hmm~ that's correct." -niki.

"Okii you can meet my dad " you finally decide. "Promise me you won't be seduce ok?"

"I promise."

You then proceed it happened because you were busy with something, like watching cartoon.

Having finished Sudden Death, which I hadn't read before, my ranking for SS Arc Qualifying Rounds stories is:

Sandstorm

Secret Service

Satellite

Submarine

Shinsekai

Sudden Death

I'm absolutely willing to admit I'm biased for fine but I know even many fine fans don't like Sanctuary, or least didn't when it originally released. But I genuinely like the story, what it told about Wataru, how Tomoya has hell of a mental strength, Tori's anguish he's trying to set aside... and of course Eichi swooping in, being the one who knows how to wake Wataru up, and then hissing at Tomoya in jealousy because he's afraid he'll lose Wataru. It also shows a lot of what's going in the background because Nazuna is most of the time in the Gatekeeper's office.

And Sandstorm I have to rank second because of how much I've been thinking about it. I really liked how Kaoru was written in it and 2wink's "did they do it maliciously or had they altruistic motives and who did they do it for" thingy was really interesting. Also, muting Rei was a good idea (and this is silly thing to say for a fully voiced story as someone who likes Toshiki Masuda a lot, especially as Rei. ;P) because like they noted in the story, when both Rei and Kaoru were unavailable, Adonis had to step up.

Secret Service is the most lore-heavy and I adore it. It could very well be in the second place too. Also liked the "who's on whose side" and content for the both units involved. And oh the scene where Hiyori goes "I don't know what's going on and I don't care, I'm here just to save Nagisa!" and almost jumps from the temple roof when he finally sees him.

In Satellite I liked how we see how Tatsumi can reason himself to do things that can hurt someone while helping someone else. Obbligato later explores his way of thinking more but Satellite was a great glimpse to it too. Also, Trickstar in the jungle were hilarious.

Submarine had a similar situation with Keito and Souma as Rei and Adonis in Sandstorm which I liked. Souma is ok with being "a follower" and being lead (not in a bad sense, just that someone else is thinking the big things and making decisions) but it was good to show him that he is capable and also that he *is* ok with Keito in the lead. Bonus for the seasick Kuro (sorry Kuro...).

Shinsekai I don't have that many thoughts for. Some background shenanigans were interesting, but mostly that's one of the stories I point out when talking about similarities between Natsume and Eichi. How Natsume wants to control people and situations but because he doesn't have the money and power, he can't. Until this VR thing. And of course there's the iconic "can I call you darling?" for Mika and Shu, for that alone the story can't be the last.

Sudden Death was maybe the only one I was disappointed with. It had good moments, like Leo thanking Kohaku for saving Madara, funny stuff with Leo and Izumi, and the glimpse into Tsukasa and Kohaku's childhood was interesting. But otherwise it felt like Knights waffled on about same thing for endlessly and Crazy:B had nothing to do. Not everyone had big roles in all the stories of course but Niki and HiMERU particularly felt only decorative in this.

hi goose this is a few days old now but finally getting around to answering this!

aaa thank you I'm so glad you like my descriptions :D it was definitely a bit tough getting back into the glass writing groove with the style I use for the descriptions and stuff so I'm glad it turned out ok

"my pythia" made my skin crawl to write

YEAHHH TATTOO TIME. every single time I see fanart of the tattoo I freak out (/pos) so much because all the interpretations are SO cool. I love seeing what people come up with because I myself have no artistic ability, I can only describe what's in my head through words, so when people are able to actually put that into art form it just makes me so happy

yes exactly that's why I wanted it on his pulse!! I wanted it to sit right over the reminder that he's human! that he has blood pumping through his veins! everyone has that blood and that heartbeat and I wanted the tattoo to sit right above that both because of the connection to his heartbeat, but also because it's the place other people can feel your pulse. it's the connection point almost between your pulse and others, if that makes sense.

(random fun fact, I can't feel my own pulse on my wrist. doctors and nurses can't get a pulse from my wrist either. like there have been many times I've gone to the doctor and the nurse has tried to take my pulse and they frown and readjust their hand and then they try the other wrist and no matter what it doesn't work and I'm just sitting there. the only place you can get a pulse off of me besides straight up feeling my heartbeat is on my carotid artery on my throat)

aaa I'm so glad you enjoyed!! I had so much fun with the format of this chapter. I plotted it out a bit before my trip, and I specifically wanted to finish ch 25 before my trip because I knew ch 26 was going to be the one I'd most want to write after I got back. I needed a REALLY good exciting chapter to come back to and the alternating format was going to be the way I sucked myself back into the story after being out of that headspace for 3 weeks straight, and it worked. it was just so cinematic in my head y'know? I can perfectly picture the flipping between past and present with like different color grading and lighting and music and all that

I feel like being homeschooled though, there's usually a lot more pressure with grades and going to college and being this very very book smart, know everything kind of person. OR it's very possibe I'm just stereotyping because a lot of the families I know that are homeschooled are huge on that sort of thing, but I also know there are tons of public schoolers that go through that as well. But it is really nice to be able to do things in the middle of the day like going out and taking breaks and stuff like that. I sometimes wonder what it's like in school and how I would manage.

they scream the whole time, literally the whole time

like you regret taking the trip to meet up with them

if you were on call, at least you could mute them

but alas, you’re stuck between Dream and Sapnap, who were currently screaming their heads off

not that you were much better, but you weren’t nearly as loud as the two of them

the three of you switched between who was in control of the game

Dream, of course, ran his mouth the whole time about how you and Sapnap were total babies and if he was in control right now, he wouldn’t be afraid

but the second you slide the keyboard over to him, he’s yelling at the animatronics and telling Sapnap to shut up

the younger boy is at your side, sucking in deep breaths before barking out orders to the now struggling Dream

when it’s finally your turn to play, the two of them get sort of pouty at how well you’re handling it

you’re just as scared as they are, but there’s no facecam for the stream and your silence as you focus makes you appear cool and collected

you talk to the viewers much more than the other two, responding to donos as Sapnap screams and laughing along with chat when Dream goes on a rant after dying

the text to speak interrupts the chaos as it reads a donation “Dream is a pissbaby confirmed?”

“Oh definitely, he’s literally hiding behind his hands right now.” “SHUT UP, I AM NOT!”

but luckily you’re on call this time, or else you would be forced to deal with his screaming in person

Tommy’s got your voice coming out of the speakers, so her can hear you, along with chat

Tommy took over at the beginning of the game, interested in the lore and collectibles

he would chime in with commentary, calling Gregory stupid and boasting about how he could totally take down Monty with no problem

“Tommy, you couldn’t fight a snail.’ “Y/N, HOW DARE YOU! I AM THE MANLIEST MAN IN THIS ROOM!”

Tommy got up to the point in the story where Gregory needed to get the upgrades from the other animatronics, finally setting you loose

you were practically vibrating by the time you was allowed to be in charge of the game play

“LET’S FUCKING GO! I’LL KILL YOU ROXY! I’M GONNA RIP OUT YOUR EYES!”

Tommy stares at the camera in worry as you laugh like a maniac

eventually someone in chat sends in a dono

“Maybe Y/n should take a break.” “You know what, chat? I agree with you.”

George and Wilbur

two opposite sides of the spectrum

George is thrumming with energy, while Wilbur is laid back

Wilbur pretty much lets George play most of the game, only taking over when George needs a break

he talks to you most of the time over discord, trying to ignore George constantly screaming

Wilbur will come up with the wildest theories and George is just fighting for his life

“Maybe Gregory is stuck in limbo and is being hunted to rediscover his mortality.” “Wil, I’m literally watching a giant chicken eat garbage, it’s not that deep.”

when George goes to the bathroom or leaves to get a snack, Wilbur is completely lost

it becomes very obvious that he wasn’t paying attention for half of the game

you basically have to tell him exactly where to go and what button to press

“Wait, what do I do?!? How do I get away?!” “Get inside Freddy!” “GET INSIDE HIM??!?!??”

by the time George gets back, the two of you are ready to give up

“What happened? You’re still in the same spot I left you in!” “Georgeeeee, he doesn’t even know how to charge his flashlight! He’s died like 15 times.”

it’s safe to say the stream ends up being longer than anticipated

Niki and Jack

honestly, they’re both pretty chill

even when the jumpscares come, neither of them go beyond a small yelp or a gasp

Jack keeps joking about how he and Freddy have the same haircut

“Freddy doesn’t even have hair though.” “Exactly”

Niki joins in, putting her hair up like Chica and saying “Staff only!” over and over again

as soon as Jack hears “Freddy, you’re supposed to be on lockdown.” he is 100% responding with “Vanessa... my fazballs.”

when Vanessa makes that whole speech about how Gregory deserves a reward, all 3 of you look at each other

“Why is she kinda...” you say before the room devolves into giggles

Niki ends up being the one who has to do the DJ section and she is livid

both you and Jack are yelling at her to go faster

“I AM GOING FASTER!!! WHY IS HE GIGANTIC”

none of you have any clue how bugged the game is when you reach the end, so it’s all screams and confusion when Roxy teleports into the room or Freddy starts spinning in the charging station
