I’m so invested in Sanji and Ed it’s not even funny (it’s very funny my friend is so annoyed I keep yapping to her about these two)

The idea that Sanji, someone who’s life stands on so much secrecy tells the one person meant to figure out secrets it’s so crazy. The irony that Sanji tries so hard to not rely on anyone else and prove his worth the whole series. Just to confine in the one or if not the most secretive person he can is crazy.

Obviously Ed already knows about Sanji’s backstory and WCI + Wano so they aren’t surprised. But the idea Sanji trusts Ed so much to tell them his mothers name is insane. The little meetings they have is just so heart wrenching to me I adore them so much

But it’s so silly at the same time! I mean latest chap, for quite awhile Ed is telling the crew to well- kill them. If something they don’t want happens and in this case they don’t wanna be anywhere near the human trafficking (explainable) and at the very end Ed somehow got themselves into a death pact thingy with Luffy

And it reminds me of Zoro and Sanji in Wano. Sanji telling Zoro to “put him down” if he becomes an emotionless machine. And Zoro agreeing and telling him not to die before he can do it himself. It’s just very silly that these two both are so ridiculously secretive and sacrificial that they both end up in a similar scenario is goofy af

They're also considered weird for just not understanding/conforming to social norms. It's also seen as weird that they pretend to be mortal for no other reason than to try out/do mortal stuff.(while others deities also pretend to be mortals on occasion it is pretty much never for curiosity or pleasure and definitely not as often as mtt does it.) But the way they act with eachother is indeed one of the main reasons. Basically, they're weirdos cause they don't act like how deities are 'supposed' to act. Horror is considered the 'most normal' out of them by outsiders.

Dust's favorite way to both show and get affection is physical touch. Killer likes giving them gifts and enjoys spending time together. Horror also mainly likes spending time together. Killer also kisses them. A lot.

They fight for a lot of reasons. Sometimes even just because it's fun. Most of the time someone just did something that pissed of one of the others(for example killer sending a plague to one of Horror's villages)

They have a lot more knowledge about things in the mortal world then most deities. Horror even knows how to wash clothes...what an accomplishment....

Yeah, divinity can be separated from the spirit. This is painful and almost never willingly and can very easily go wrong. This is actually what was attempted with dust.

The trio went on a a bit of a murdering spree of their followers not too long after what happened with dust(followed closely by Killer's past with them coming too light.) It wasn't the only reason worship of them fell out of favor but it definitely contributed.

JULY : Clairo wants to be Sexy to someone. You cannot skip a Sailor Song cover on Tiktok. Katie Gavin has everyone gasping at the music video of her solo debut Aftertaste. Rémi Wolf puts out her new banger record. Rhaenyra Kisses Mysaria in the house of dragon. It's SO JULIA to come out.

AUGUST : The Gaylympics in Paris are the place to be. Billie Eilish drives a tractor through a wall and guesses the colour of Charli's underwear. The Sweat tour begins. We're inconsolable in the best way thanks to Katie Gavin. MUNA breaks the internet AGAIN by bringing Towa Bird and Naomi McPherson in the same room for the Gayotic podcast.

SEPTEMBER : At All Things Go, Towa Bird & Renée kiss on stage, Julien Baker refuses to celebrate her birthday but gets two cakes, Janelle Monae owns the stage, MUNA saves the day by covering for Chappell who had to cancel : They launch the LESBOPALOOZA and reaffirm the masc soprano supremacy. Then Roan of Arc in her shining armour stands her grown against a photographer and yells "Not me, bitch" at the VMAs. We get woken up when September ends with the kiss of death of Agathario.

OCTOBER : Imogen finds love in Heartstopper. During Julien Baker's fall tour, Lucy Dacus celebrates the lesbians and sings a song (or two) about her favorite one. Everybody embarks on the "I hate gay halloween, what do you mean you're" train. The pics are glorious.

hotch and rossi clearly have this married-couple kind of dynamic that grows throughout the show. they know each other so well, so intimately. they're always there for each other, and the team literally refers to them as "mom and dad" in canon (i think only once, but still).

i firmly believe that hotch was never unfaithful to haley, but i think his ~bisexuality~ was something he wasn't aware of until after her passing, and his attraction to rossi was always there, just in the back of his mind.

Azura + Mirella Goldhauch (sylvari/norn) - gfs forever. Azura is the leader of Legend's Rise, Mirella is the... co leader? Technically she was promoted to leader but really. Whatever. Got together during HoT I think, are still together!

Naymarin + god how is her name spelled again Kasawary ???? (sylvari/sylvari) - met in the dream, stayed together 5 ever. Mine and my best friends characters. They kiss and smooch.

Temmie + Wrennih (+Iira) (asura/asura) - formerly part of the same krewe. Wren decided that his beloved gf is a little too violent and unethical and he left the Inquest and her. They're on good terms. The kind of good terms where you do want to burry yourself when you see your ex in public but you also don't have any beef with them

Dean Skygleam + Rian Starbloom (human/sylvari) - No idea what I was going for with these guys. They're underdeveloped so far and they do hate each other and also fuck nasty but like no idea what their story is to be honest.

Rhea Hauntingvoice + Junko Haloglow (charr/human) - Better known as HolyHaunt, a emo music duo. Rhea is gay in love with Junko. Junko is really busy playing bass and talking to the ghosts in their head.

Sam (given the nature of these two i'm gonna b a little horny abt it lol) 4) Best places to kiss on their body: uhhhh first and foremost his cute lil pointy nose!! give that bad boy a hearty ~chu~ But if the kisser wants to really feel how they're affecting him I would say go along the jawline. He carries a lot of tension in his jaw and it would be fun to feel how that tension lessens/intensifies by being smooched. (Spicy version) I think starting at the hip and kissing down the V of his abdomen would be fun for all parties involved. 5) Guilty pleasures: Now this one is very fun bc has his whole obsession with purity and being 'clean' so there's a lot of things he doesn't allow himself to do. I def think one of his guilty pleasures is that he likes Chick fil a. He knows they're a super shitty homophobic corporation and he KNOWS he shouldn't support them AND a lot of the food on the menu is 'unhealthy' and something he can't eat bc of [insert w/e diet he's on this week] but he loves it. OH, how he loves it. It's his comfort food. He likes their special sauce and even when he tries to make it himself it never quite tastes right so he will occasionally buy food from there and then feel awful about it for like 3 days afterward. (Spicy version (warning for mentions of SA)) Ok so I think Sam has a lot of weird hangups about sex. Particularly, he feels weird about subbing. I do think he enjoys it, but where the guilt comes in is that he doesn't feel like he should enjoy it because of the ways in which his bodily autonomy has been jeopardized. It feels very strange to him to derive pleasure from a situation that resembles a context in which the circumstances were very dire for him. I think it's scary for him to give up that sense of control, but even scarier that he actually enjoys it. Since Sam has been known to diminish and trivialize his own trauma, I think subbing might make him slip into a spiral about if he 'actually was assaulted' bc if he enjoys it here how bad were the times when he was forced to submit to someone? I think he has a lot of trouble acknowledging himself as a victim, and I think enjoying subbing would make him think himself a """bad victim""" if he doesn't actively work to get out of that mindset. Because of that, I don't think he subs often, and only with someone he really really trusts, but I think he does really enjoy it and can even derive some catharsis from it.

Dean 9) Humiliating memories: ooooooooh ok now this one is a little tough bc Dean is constantly tormented by The Shame so it's hard to pick out a specific instance where he was definitely humiliated buuuuuut in my personal headcanon one of the most impactful times is his first solo hunt. More specifically, the situation leading up to Dean's first hunt. I mention it here, but essentially, John catches on to Dean having feelings for another boy, which scares the hell out of Dean. After disappearing for a few days (leaving Dean alone and sick to his stomach with anxiety for John's total lack of a reaction) he comes back to the motel, picks Dean up, and tells him to go do a salt and burn of two dead gay nuns. He does, but also internalizes the message John is sending: this is what happens to people like you. John picks him up afterward and never directly says what he's referring to, but tells Dean, "you need to be careful and not be selfish. Your stupid decisions could get you or even Sammy hurt." That, of course, makes Dean feel so astoundingly horrible, he can barely respond. It's why I am in the camp of 'Dean is painfully aware of his attraction to men, but rarely acts on it/never vocalizes it.' bc ^this memory, coupled with the homophobia of the 90's/00's makes Dean very wary of how he carries himself and the kind of """negative attention""" he wants to could attract, and how that could endanger himself/other people around him. 10) Fears/phobias: ok this could couple nicely with the thing i just talked about above but instead I'm going to go in an entirely different direction: DEAN IS (or should be) SCARED OF DOGS. It's honestly pretty wild to me that this really isn't touched on in canon. One of his most significant/narratively impactful deaths is when he was mauled by Hellhounds, and consequently dragged to Hell for 40 years. Canon like, farts in this direction sorta in s6 but it's really not talked about. Homeboy got sliced and diced by dogs!!! He should have some residual stuff about that!! Also I think it would be a point of contention between himself and Sam, Known Dog Lover. It's also why i'm team 'fuck that dog' from the finale. Although, it could be cathartic for him to have an esa/therapy animal be a dog, to rebuild trust.

Castiel 14) Ingrained habits/forces of habit: this one is SO fun for him bc there's so many possibilities with him being an angel. I think this manifests a lot as physical ticks/quirks from being an angel in a human vessel. I think a 'force of habit' of his is literally breathing. He really only needs to breathe in order to talk, but I think in early seasons he catches himself doing it all the time, as a leftover instinct from his human vessel. Later, he catches himself mirroring Dean's, Sam's and other people's breathing as he starts growing closer to humanity, before eventually just adopting breathing all the time. I think it also takes him a long time when he's human to get used to moving at a human speed. If he realizes he needs to go somewhere, his first thought is to fly, and he often has this moment of "why am I not there yet?" before realizing he needs to physically move his human body 🙄🙄🙄 I also think it would be really fun if, especially after first obtaining a vessel, he often speaks quietly because he is used to overwhelming humans with his True Voice. 15) What it takes to make them cry: 🤔🤔🤔 I think Cas is like, a medium-frequency crier (order of most to least likely to cry imo is Dean, Cas, Sam). I think he IS a happy crier and that's what most often causes him to cry; being overwhelmed by positive emotions (i.e. love for his family). And I think it's easier, in a way, to wallow in this self-pity, then to actually attempt to vocalize his wants and ask for what he needs. So, essentially, he fell and he feels like he needs to be punished, and the best possible punishment is for his one true desire to be something he can never obtain, because he doesn't deserve to have what he wants. I started to write something in the tags but it got too long so I'm putting it here.

First off, as if any of these complainers would have the willpower to say no to kissing Gun if they had the chance. Imagine if someone has a chance to kiss Gun and you were like, "Nope, no Gun kisses for you." That's messed up. That's how you know you've gone over to the dark side. Being able to kiss Gun if Gun wants to kiss you is an inalienable right. But on a more serious note, it's their job to kiss boys and they aren't allowed to practice in their off hours? It's their job to kiss boys and convince us they're enjoying it and they aren't allowed to enjoy it in their free time?

Smooching your friends seems to me like both a logical outgrowth of BL acting and as something that would actually help a person perform better in this genre.

Think about it. What does a person need in order to make out with a boy in a room full of people while being filmed for a sizable international audience?

They'd need to get acclimated to kissing boys if they aren't already

It would be best for them to stay acclimated, even between acting jobs, or they'll have to start from scratch every time they get a role

They'd need to connect with whatever part of themselves enjoys kissing boys in whatever way they're able to enjoy it given their sexuality. For some that's inevitably going to have to be on the level of "kissing feels good and I can do it with any reasonable, safe person regardless of my romantic and/or sexual feelings toward them or lack thereof." For others it might be more like "I can enjoy kissing boys who aren't my boyfriend and/or who I'm not going to hook up with without getting emotionally entangled or sexually entitled in ways that don't fit with this professional relationship."

They'd need to decouple the idea of kissing from the idea of romance and even sexuality to some extent (as I alluded to above). It might help if they do that to a great extent. If kissing is fixed in their minds as something you only do with a committed partner you're having sex with and are in love with they can't do their job unless they happen to get together with the person they're paired up with and come on, what are the odds of that?

They'd need to demystify kissing to at least some extent, to make it so that the stakes aren't as incredibly high as they are for many people.

Basically, it would really help their work if kissing was something that it's not a big deal to do with your buddies, and it might even be downright necessary for that to be the case, especially if a person is expected to deliver strong performances in that area

Speaking of which, they need to be able to be friends with the actor they're habitually paired up with, and they have to kiss that guy, so they're required to make out with this one friend repeatedly and that's almost certain to generalize out to it feeling OK to kiss other friends. Which is good because they should be able to be versatile about who they can do this work with.

Note that most of these are the same whether the actor is straight, bi, pan, or gay and none of these factors is completely out of the picture no matter what their sexuality is.

So we ask them to do this job. We expect them to do whatever it takes to kiss boys on camera on the regular and have it look heartfelt and hot and so forth. And they make this mental and behavioral shift that is required in order to do that job. Specifically, to review, they have to get comfortable kissing boys, connect with their desire to kiss boys in some fashion, disconnect kissing from love and sexuality to some extent, and demystify kissing so it's not as huge of a deal. And then we put them in social situations with other BL actors who have had to go through the same process. Which actually seems like it would help with getting into the kissing-boys-professionally mindset. Anyway, it's only natural under the circumstances they they spend time together and become friends. And then these young, attractive dudes who feel comfortable kissing their friends are hanging out with other young, attractive dudes who feel comfortable kissing their friends and they're just supposed to...never kiss each other?

I can't think of anything more ridiculous.

I should also note for the record that this is just one of many conditions that can lead to a state of affairs where kissing can be platonic, isn't the biggest deal in the world, and so forth. My impression is that more and more people are interacting in this way. Younger people seem to do this more, both in a Gen Z sense and a people do this more when they're young sense. LGBTQ+ people definitely seem to do it more. Sometimes it's a temporary effect of a social setting. I have a friend who lived in a student co-op in college and sometimes there was just a pansexual makeout pile in the living room. (Imagine being the person who is opposed to the pansexual makeout pile. You would have to ask some hard questions about where you have gone wrong in your life.)

In conclusion, not only can Tay Tawan and Gun Atthaphan kiss whoever they want regardless, it's also incredibly unreasonable to expect someone to turn in skilled performances in BLs and then ask them not to kiss their (non-paired) friends.

I am so glad that Tay is calling out people who said he was being disrespectful to his fans.

At the same time, I am bothered at how much he and New still felt the need to make excuses, saying that it was wrong of them to livestream while playing the game, to explain that people are misinterpreting things, etc, etc. Because they shouldn't have to do any of that.

You are allowed to have separation between your job and your personal life.

I have MANY things to say about chapter 96 so this is gonna be long-ish but you deserve every word of praise I'm about to type so buckle the fuckle up.

First of all, the dance scene with Usopp and then Luffy? Great, spectacular, outstanding, the way Ed understands Luffy so well like THAT is my otp and I am so fucking proud of them.

SECOND OF ALL. SANJI. Not only do you give that boy a scene tackling his bisexual (gay?) awakening but also a little platonic smooch that he so desperately needed? And then you give us ART of that scene? It feels so good but also I'm crying. Side note, Sanji definitely smokes Pall Malls, I can smell them from here.

Third of all, you write Brook so, so well. All I could get from him talking about Yorkie was that those two were SO attached to each other and Brook sees so much of himself AND Yorkie in Ed and wants to make sure they're happy so so bad. I want to be him when I grow up.

And that Nami scene. *chef's kiss* magnificent. Ed may have left a sister behind when that Honda Civic hip checked them into a different reality but they definitely got a new one in Nami.

So, I watched Paraiso (Paradise) on HBO Max and... IDK, it's not bad? The pacing is weird and the mystery is presented in a kinda clumsy way, but... Y'know eventually the characters grow on you? The main Goonies squad is pretty cute. There's one kid who maybe leans on the ugly cry too hard, but, y'know he is a kid so I'm willing to give him a pass. Otherwise the acting is ok, again a little melodramatic at times and the mystery isn't super compelling, but you feel enough sympathy for the characters that you can get yourself through the series. It's not that long and it's only one season. There's nothing too extreme in terms of violence or gore, maybe stay away if you're sensitive to su*cide or su*icidal imagery/attempts or fire deaths or drowning. Or if mentions of child abuse or light depictions of bullying or dead kids are a trigger for you. It's more intense than Julie and the Phantoms, but less intense than Stranger Things. It doesn't curse much or have too much nudity, just a couple of nipples here and there and then a bunch of butts in one scene. (I'm guessing the nipples are most of the reason it got a TV MA rating, it's really not that intense.)

One thing that pooped out at me was that it weirdly kept interrupting kisses between characters? Like 3 or 4 times? But the sad lesbians got a grope and smooch and 2 of the sad dads get a CPR smooch? I won't spoil the last kiss, but yeah. A lot of interruptions. Anyways, it was weird, but not offensive.

Mainly it's just about three girls who go missing and one girl's younger sibling and his friends searching for them. Sandra is one of the girls that disappears, Javi is her little brother, Quino and Alvaro are his two best friends, Bea is the girl he likes, Olivia is her best friend and Zeta is sort of the bully turned reluctant squad member of the group.

For a stranger things comparison : Javi = Mike, Sandra = Nancy, Alvaro = Will, Quino = Dustin, Zeta = Steve, Bea = Max, Olivia = Lucas and everyone else is just sort of there.

There are villains, but they're less menacing and more inconvenient? There are a couple of characters with mobility issues, 2 sad lesbians, one of whom is a little person, 2 sad gay boys, one of whom starts the story a bit homophobic (yes, it is that trope), a character with diabetes.... I can't think of anything else, but yeah, it was okay. No black characters though and the only asian is a villain, so if that's a dealbreaker for you, well... You're right. That does suck.

Also, in order to watch it in the original Spanish, I had to go to my TV settings to change the audio because HBO Max wouldn't let me? But once I had it set it was fine. Still weird though.

Overall : a 7/10 Spanish Stranger Things that tries and misses the mark a bit, but it is more queer and I can only approve. An okay series that I may watch again. Don't go for a compelling or intelligable mystery, the lovable squad is all you're gonna get.
