*walks up to the mic* I may be working on another Rangi (prev one) themed trace animation (should I just call it a MAD? I feel like that's what it is but less words....wait wait I think the term is Handwritten MAD/手書きMAD specifically....... TT0TT).

But cool news.........I think....I might be having a break through on ways I wanna try coloring some of the Persona manga. So I might take another stab at this piece again once I'm done..... Anyway!

I do really want to terrorpost but I don't feel qualified to be in that fandom man...... everyone is so smart and creative and they all have advanced degrees and I'm just sitting here like I think the lieutenants are in love :3

#the fake shoujo manga chapter divider in a shoujo magazine is complete!#this took me like three days to finish and needless to say I’m proud of it 😌#ok maybe apart from Steve I’m not too happy with how he came out #everytime I draw his s1 hair apart of me wants to explode cause of how confusing and hard it is to draw #I imagine that this (fake) manga starts off as a regular shoujo romance but slowly escalates into a sci-fi horror #I’d like to thank Betsumas online archive for giving me references of shoujo from the 80s and 90s #ngl this would have flopped without it #I took some inspo from the many different art styles I saw in my betsuma refs and added aspects to my already pretty anime style #I also stylized Jonathan’s hair differently to how I usually do it to go more in line with how I think it would be stylized #in an actual shoujo #same with Nancy too #I also did more softer shading and tried to make it look watercoloury as alot of the shoujo mangaka I like use it for more fancy art #in relation to their work #i don’t think it comes across that way but hey it was worth a try!#I’m either proud of the title of this fake ST manga or ashamed of it idk I can’t decide #anyways I might do a part two to this? idk it was originally my intention #hope y’all enjoy!#stranger things #nancy wheeler #jonathan byers #steve harrington #barbra holland #jancy #I’ll add the jancy tag cause this piece has the pairing in subtext (lmk if i should remove it at all cause this isn’t an obvious jancy thing #)#cw eyestrain #tw eyestrain #<-adding these tags cause I think this could cause some eyestrain

ok soim gonna ramble about the wedding in the tags cos this is my diary lol kitty dont read this (she's not been on tumblr in ages it should b fine pfft)

#personal #ok so first of all it was a very overwhelming but amazing day!#the food was INCREDIBLE lol i honestly want the recipe for the chickpea fritters (that were covered in sesame seeds) like asap lol #sad i never got to have an italian pizza #(partly cos i was mainly w/ my mum who cant eat too much wheat rip...)#the venue was also amazing! there were all these animals (it's like a sanctuary thing?)#it was a shame it was cloudy and rainy that day but it wasnt too bad lol #(like look im english i'm used to it being rainy and cloudy 90% of the time pfft)#the actual vows ceremony part was honestly a highlight #i cried lol (it was a mixture of things... i was tired and overwhelmed... also i love my sister a lot ofc lol)#(also didnt help my mum was bawling her eyes out next to me pfft)#(also wasnt the only one cos when we went to say goodbye all my other sister's were crying too pfft...)#her husband's family were a Lot but all super lovely!#what was really funny is that they sat us on tables w/ a mixture of italian and english guests #and on both our table and one of the others everyone was bonding by showing each other pictures of their pets pfft #(mainly cats lol)#the dj wasnt that great pfft (yes i was mainly annoyed that there was no kpop cos i think my sis said she wanted to include some...)#i did get up and dance v awkwardly (mainly forced to by one of his sisters pfft) but it was fun lol #ohh and her dress(es) were seriously stunning!#the one for the main ceremony was like a classic victorian(?) sorta style #with an amazinggg 30s style veil!#her evening dress was shorter and she'd sewn the flowers we'd all been helping make for her on it #and it was honestly just so gorgeous #(i might try posting some of pics of it if i can?)#she also made her husband's waistcoat which matched the colours in her dress :')#struggling writing this rn cos i have a very needy cat trying to demand attentino lol #(we picked them up from the cattery today and i think they had a p tough time :(((( i missed them so much honestly)#anyway so the not so great things were the photographers (which ?? there were two ??? why ??)#they were really invasive and annoying lol #half my family couldnt even see my sis get married cos they were in the way ugh

Hi! As someone who now kinda wants to check out Trigun because of the hype, do you recommend that I can start with Stampede? Or do I really need to watch the OG anime first to better understand/enjoy it? Thank you! 🙋🏻‍♀️

you can start with stampede! i'd say knowing the context of the original enhances the experience but isn't necessary to enjoy the show. I would consider stampede more viewer-friendly, especially for those of us who are used to modern storytelling conventions (the original suffers the consequences of general writing trends in anime at the time it was produced and of the fact that it was produced long before the manga was finished, so the story is somewhat disjointed and has a lot of filler which makes it REALLY hard to get into.) if you do end up liking stampede, however, I'd suggest trying out watching at least SOME of the original because it adds a lot of cool nuance and context to the story that stampede tells!
