thinking about how I can write what being extremely thin feels like because I have been so before. I'm not deathly thin now! So its not upsetting or anything to write

but I know the sort of light, faint body horror of it and how to describe it in a way that is fittingly spooky and morbid for this guy.

I know the feeling of skin too taught and fatless that the texture becomes almost like waxy crepe paper across the bonier areas. I know what its like for your shoulders to feel too heavy for your spine so you naturally want to slouch and contort ( exactly the way he does in his default position ) I know what its like to be able to hook your thumb into your own hip bone, the constant clarity of bone underneath and that you are but a skeleton wrapped loosely in flesh, mortal and dying. I know what its like to have warm palms and cold, slightly numb fingertips. I know he has a headache and where it is. I know his joints click and wander out of alignment, loose in his lean muscle, and I know he feels it when they do I know he can feel his skin falling like a tent from his ribs to his hips as they drape loosely over a nonexistent stomach, specifically when he lays down flat. I know it hurts when he gets hit on the raw exposed bone, like his collar bone, but he just doesn't mind the pain.

I know this man is being driven forward by some magic in his artificially adjusted system, and I am so fascinated by the thought of having all these symptoms I'm familiar with but he's just being propped up to fight with the strength of something supernatural despite them. The way it fits him so much.... the zombie like nature of him........ }}

I fucking love Tanakhically accurate Saints! They're so weird and quirky! Like, who do Catholics need a saint for *everything*?? So fun and interesting. MY favourite Tanakhically Accurate Saint is St. Joan, because she's such a girlboss who lead her people in armed revolt against the Stinky English (boo!) and when you get down to it, that makes her a lot like Esther or Judith.
