hello im a new fan of touya.. maybe not yet a bnha fan but definitelly touya. i have been avoiding bnha for the longest time and now i feel like i've opened up a treasure chest filled with diamond when i found touya.. i instanly fell in love with him. with tears filled my eyes and sobbing really really hard cause unfortunately i fell in love with him right after watching an edit of him fighting with his family.. watching him dying and in the most vulnerable states. but i guess its better late than never. (right?)

he's so beautiful and yet tragic and i believe there are so much depth in him. but where do i start as a new fan? any recomendations.

also since im collecting plushies can you please tell what kind of plushie touya have out there? i need to get my hands on them. do you also collect his merch and would you mind share it with me?

I love talking about my beloved tragic beautiful Dabi... and have been thinking about him so much since the recent episodes. He's so painfully soft behind the hurt and revenge...

Congrats on coming over to the Touya side! Absolutely better late than never and there is still plenty of Touya left to love. The Todorokis have the most interesting plot line in bnha in my opinion. I really love this story in spite of it's end, so I hope you find time to consume it fully. Since you're not a bnha fan yet I assume you haven't consumed the anime or manga content either.. but if I can say, he does not die in battle. And in my opinion, it's clear he lives on even post-war even if I wished to have seen a more concrete happiness for him! 😭

The best way to enjoy your favorite character is always to consume all the content for them lol. There's so many edits and fanart of his beautiful face and you are welcome to go through my blog tag of '#Dabi' if you wish for a place to see a good collection of them 🥺... And of course my personal favorite is reading him in fanfics, where we can truly explore his character.

If I may, might I introduce you to the other half of my love that will always go hand in hand with Touya for me... Takami Keigo/Hawks? 👀 They are basically two sides of the same coin.. constantly in parallel and Hawks is yet another tragic beautiful character. I particularly enjoy his interactions with Dabi in canon, but the fandom world for them together is endless and I could talk forever and absolutely rec some amazing fics if you decide that is also your cup of tea. 🤣

Oh plushie Dabi's yes! I want them all as well but have found them harder to come by than plushie Hawks so I am also still looking for him. (he is also sometimes quite deformed 😭 so it's hard to find good ones!) 🥲 But 'Banpresto' has released a few plushies of him in various sizes from mini keychain types to a medium more firm size and it depends which but some you can find online or others you'll have to import from Japan. I've used 'AitaiKuji' for a good place to browse in the past. There's also a 'Mochibi Dabi' which is more like a tsum tsum shape (relatively easy & affordable to buy). There's also some round ball plushies of him like from Fuwakororin and I've seen some custom fanmade kitty versions of him 🥺 like the one from AgiJagi. Beyond that he has a selection of figures, where his face looks better than others 🤣 so choose wisely (his nendo is super cute tho!). There's also been some collectible very expensive custom ones of him like the one from 'weareanimecollectors'. Anyways, happy merch collecting, I've only had the luxury to start doing more of this in the past few years so I'm no expert! But I can take some pics of the ones I have if you want to see mines. 😉

Thinkin' again about an old piece of Princess Tutu-AU-Slayers fanart I saw and how Rezo isn't quite a good fit for Drosselmeyer- but then, I don't think any of the Slayers characters fit Drosselmeyer, at least in terms of his narrative role. The closest I can think of is LoN, and she's very passive compared to Drosselmeyer.

The thing is that Princess Tutu is very meta- in a different way than Slayers is meta, because while Slayers has fourth wall jokes and nods-and-winks at isn't-this-cliche, the force of the narrative itself isn't a living, tangible threat the way it is in Princess Tutu? It isn't quite a law of the universe the way it is in The Last Unicorn or some of the Discworld books. The closest we have to a character trying to puppeteer the characters along a predetermined storyline is, again, LoN- and that's more of an interpretation of her anyway.

I think Rezo's really somewhere between Drosselmeyer, Mytho, and the Raven? He's a kooky old man antagonist related to the brooding anime heartthrob. He's the mythic, beloved figure whose "heart" has been sacrificed in order to seal away a powerful evil force. He's the evil force that serves the narrative by consuming and corrupting those around him- or Shabranigdu is, but he acts through Rezo as a proxy.

...Also man Rezo's whole schtick is something Drosselmeyer would eat up like candy. "Ohhh I am (tragically) blind and desperately searching for a cure but (tragically) nothing seems to work and I am (tragically) driven to viler and viler acts in my pursuit! But once I do manage it, it (tragically) turns out that getting the one thing I want was the one thing that unleashes a great evil and also kills me." Dude might as well turn into a speck of light and vanish. So maybe he's actually Giselle/The Ghost Knight.

2. Anything that you'd like to write but feel like you're unable to?

Not really? I mean, I feel like I could write anything I wanted to - not saying that out of any sort of vanity towards my writing abilities, just in the sense that if I really wanted to write something, I'd give it a go and try to learn those techniques even if it was choppy at first.

3. How would you describe your writing style?

Descriptive on the verge of being verbose, and heavy on the interactions and dynamics between characters. Also rife with references and symbolism that only get noticed about half the time.

5. What's a tag you never want to use for your works even when it applies?

Dead Dove: Do Not Eat. I'm pretty sure I know how it works, but I always feel like I'm using it wrong lol

I also was nervous about including the tags for implied/referenced noncon in Madison's story - I didn't want to give people the impression that it happened within the story, let alone with one of their beloved characters, and I also didn't want people to be like "ohhh look it's another female character whose tragic backstory hinges on that..." without even reading her story and understanding what *actually* went into her backstory.

8. How slow is a slow burn?

Depends on the length of the fic, but if they go at least 60% of the way through the story without admitting their feelings, that's a good slowburn. It's like cooking with garlic though, you measure that shit with your heart.

Soulmate AUs, anything with A/B/O, and Surprise Pregnancy fics

I wrote a few chapters of a Wednesday fic when the show first came out, but then everything came out about the issues with some of the actors, the dialogue, Tim Burton, etc. and I figured it was just better to shelf that idea and be done.

Forlay and Noorlin have already met Tobias by this point - they met him on Earth. They did not meet Loren, though.

Alloran doesn't live very long upon his return home - he lives long enough to see his children (War-Prince Ardran-Semitur-Nirlin, his eldest whom he knew as a very young child, and Ilise-Anoren-Theril, his daughter whom he never met) and be reunited with Jahar, and passes away. As a result, it's his family who are most vindicated by the record Elfangor gave that cements his involuntary status.

The Andalite Electorate begins a series of investigations and reforms of their military immediately after the ceasefire, sparked by the broadcast to Andal from Earth that saves the Earth from quarantine. Several War-Princes and other high-ranking officers and commanders are executed, others are disgraced. Alloran's obvious trauma and anger at how he was treated in Elfangor's record does a lot to rehabilitate his image.

honestly I think that the Andalite Electorate - meaning, the adult civilian population of voting age - think very positively of Elfangor, and his revelation of having a human wife and a half-human son doesn't actually do too much to trash his image. it helps that Tobias (or Tobias-Sirinial-Noorlin) is a war hero in his own right who's just as famous as his dad.

the military is furious with Elfangor, but this is not a new position for them to be in, and they can't do much now that the war is winding down and they're under fierce scrutiny for bad behavior.

Andalites love peace, and love family, and as a rule see child soldiers as a tragic sacrifice that must be made for the greater good rather than a necessary means to an end, so Elfangor running from the war to raise a family is a very - not quite cinematic? But tropey, popular story.

Also the civilian population is much more inclined to forgive his errors and flaws than the High Command is; he becomes even more of a beloved cultural figure than he was before.

Aximili sends word to Tobias that his father's hirac delest was found, and transmits a copy to his shorm's last known comm address. Tobias never responds, and never gives permission to release it to the humans, but he sends it to Cassie, and a few months after he and Jake and Marco disappear, she does give consent to adapt it into a book and it becomes wildly successful.

so i have only listened to the title track for now but i will pretty much write my reactions to the bsides as i listen to them LMAO, and personally i rlly liked it even though it could've been... more? but to be fair topping a book in memory is hard and if i expect a book in memory everytime they release a song i'll never be happy HJFDHKJ. i really enjoyed it, it's going into my current faves playlist for sure. i actually enjoy the acoustic guitar for once 😭 my biggest problem i think is that the mv is very much Not Delicate (albeit i guess a bit boring) but the song feels so... it doesn't go as hard as like. nearly being fucking drowned 😅😅😅 and as a lover of Anger and Passion and Strong Feelings in music it feels like a watered down moonshot. now i'm not sure how they could've bettered it actually though. let me think. maybe harin going harder on the drums? and More electric than just during the bridge? which i get isn't easy for when u play it live but... yonghoon should play the acoustic guitar while kanghyun plays electric guitar. i think this would make it better. also crazier vocals though i'm already happy with what we got but yonghoon relies on his falsetto so much can he scream more please. maybe a different rhythm in the chorus too but i like it in the post chorus, i really like the post chorus actually!! the drums should have a different rhythm i the chorus however i think it's the same problem i had with valkyrock. the rhythm is done weird. it's fast paced like in a pop song and ykw it reminds me of avicii which yeah it fits weird with the song... omgg can u believe initially i was gonna say "i don't have many thoughts on it" LMAOO i can never shut up can i

NOW ONTO MY BELOVEDS i will not judge harshly at all except for yonghoon i Guess but like. hmmm! oh yonghoon how i wish you used your mixed voice more! falsetto is hard to use (at least for me) so i get that he's showing off but sometimes you just gotta yell really loud and strong. it would make the songs a lot more powerful imo (not all of them but like, some). ofc i'm not gonna criticise his technique i just wish he used his voice differently with every release giwook is more & more pleasant to listen to which is really cool considering he already started out pleasant lol... now we all know how kpop rappers are but idk he's nice he's neat. he mostly just talk sings as they do but it's at least nice to hear, and everytime he and dongmyeong play off each other in songs it's a delight!! just very good. 10/10 and of course. dongmyeong. you're absolutely right he's been improving a LOT with every release and personally i really appreciate when he uses his lower tone as well bc you can feel he's comfortable with it (unlike... well.) bc he's really learnt to use his range. and actually? as i have compared yonghoon's use of the falsetto to jonghyun's (bold move but i'm not taking it back) i will compare dongmyeong's vocals to taemin's. they both have this smoother tone that makes them really good as supporting vocalists, something i realised listening to this mini, he will never be a vocalist like yonghoon in the way that his voice will never sound as powerful, like powerful for a main vocalist in a kpop group, but used the way it's being used as a lead vocalist, it really fits!! and if he were to like, go solo or whatever (extremely unlikely i know this is just hypothetical) i could honestly see him do similar stuff to taemin when it comes to how he'd sing. ofc i'm not expecting him to become a dance master even if he's onewe's best (and only?) dancer LMAO but their vocals are similar in that way
