Revenant is soooo mid which is disappointing because I was looking forward to it due to the actors and writer (this isn’t a flop like Jirisan, which I gave up on after 2–3 episodes, but it’s not really good). BUT. BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m suffering from “poor little meow meow middle-aged man” deficiency and Professor Yeom Haesang suffers so much. I can’t believe I was like “Oh...okay” about his casting because I’m planting my palms against his windows, peering at him in his little cage and being fed because he’s had the worst life ever and it keeps getting worse. WANTEEZ EP.2 — TRANSFER STUDENT

Everyone conversed amongst themselves as they waited patiently for the next member to appear at the door. After about a minute, the sound of the door being slid open caused them all to look over. 

Jieun pushed the door out of her way, carrying her bookbag in one hand and a black designer purse in the other. Black sunglasses were perched upon her nose with a silver necklace dangling from her neck.

[Who is this new transfer student?]

“Woah, is she a celebrity?” Someone asked. With a slight smirk, Jieun closed the door behind her and made her way to the front of the class.

“Hello everybody, my name is Sophie Song and I’m from Seongnam, South Korea,” she announced confidently in English, eliciting some surprised noises from the rest of the class. “But you can call me Jieun.” 

“She seems to be really rich,” Jongho commented. “Hey, Jieun. What do your parents do for work?” 

Jieun sighed as she took off her sunglasses, inspecting them.  

“My father is the CEO of a huge company,” she said as she put them on her head. 

“And what is the name of the company?” Wooyoung asked.

[What will be this heiress’ answer..?]

With a straight face, Jieun turned to the boy and answered. 

“KQ Entertainment.” 

“Oh? Isn’t that company poor?” One of the other classmates asked, causing them all to burst into laughter, including Jieun. She quickly composed herself and shook her head. 

“No, he built it from the ground up,” Jieun said. “Now the company is worth millions.” 

“Of cents.” 

Sighing, Jieun just nodded, muttering a “Yeah, sure,” as she made her way to her seat.

WANTEEZ EP.4 — ZOMBIE VIRUS

“I think that the human zombie might not know whether they’re the zombie or not,” Jongho said sincerely, his forehead wrinkled as he tried to think about who it could be.

“Alright, it’s Jongho,” Wooyoung concluded suddenly, clearly fighting off a smirk. “It’s definitely him.”

As the other members agreed, Jieun remained still, her gaze locked on seemingly nothing. 

[Song Ice lost in thought] 

After about a minute of silence from the girl, Jieun suddenly looked up. Her eyebrows were raised as she brought herself to her feet. 

“It’s San.” The others turned to her in confusion, while the accused boy widened his eyes.

“What- me?” 

Jieun nodded and turned to him. 

“They said that the human zombie doesn’t get bitten, but when the Fever Time happened for the first time, all the zombies went towards me except for one who went to San. Wouldn’t more of them have gone to him because he was closer?” Her gaze cut into him like a knife, eyes narrowed. “And he didn’t have a big reaction when one of the zombies hugged him, but he usually would.”

[Good point…]

“I was so scared, honestly— I felt like I was frozen,” San explained earnestly, putting a hand over his heart. 

“But also,” Jieun said, still staring at him. “When all three of us were in the classroom, you were again closer to the zombie but instead he attacked Yunho.” 

At this, Yunho spoke up. “Although, San was kind of off to the side and the zombie was already walking towards me, so I think that’s why.” 

“And we all know that San is really a scaredy cat,” Yeosang added. “So I’m not surprised he froze.” 

Wooyoung just shook his head. “I still think we should vote Jongho out.”

“Me too,” agreed Hongjoong. 

“Yeah, same.”

Jieun looked around at her members for some confirmation, but it looked like everyone had already made up their minds. Her mouth straightened into a flat line as she looked directly at the camera with a tired look on her face. 

[…but it falls on deaf ears]

She let out a sigh, shrugging as she sat back down, “Alright, if that’s what the majority decides.”  

[Jieun-ah… fighting?] 

WANTEEZ EP.7 — FRIENDSHIP TEST

a (not so) rare moment of ateez adoring their youngest member turns into a jieun exposee 

“Now for our youngest, lovely Jieun!” Hongjoong announced. The girl smiled as she walked to the center, waiting for her song. 

[Patiently waiting…] 

“Ah-“ Jieun said, smiling when the pre-chorus Seventeen’s “Snap Shoot” started playing. She mouthed the lyrics for the rap section before starting the choreo. The other members cheered as she danced, even more so during the post-chorus where, on every “chal-kak”, Jieun struck a pose. First was a big heart, then she turned and blew a kiss towards the members, who all clutched their hearts. San even fell to the ground.

When the music stopped, Jieun bowed to the camera before quickly retreating to her spot, using her hands to cover her face in embarrassment. 

“Our Jieunie is so cute,” Wooyoung said as he tried pinching her cheeks, but Jieun just pushed him away. Witnessing this, Jongho spoke up.

“You know, Jieun always acts like she hates aegyo but I think she secretly enjoys doing it.” The others nodded in agreement. 

“She’s so good at it too,” Mingi agreed. 

“Sometimes I see her practicing her aegyo at home,” Yeosang added. Everyone began laughing as Jieun’s eyebrows raised. She turned to the boy accusingly.

“I have never practiced aegyo before,” Jieun said, waving her hand at the camera crew, all of  whom looked amused. “That’s just a lie.” Seonghwa nodded in agreement. 

“I believe Jieunie,” he said. Jieun was relieved that someone was on her side, but the relief quickly dissipated as the oldest went on. “She wouldn’t need to practice aegyo because she’s naturally cute.” 

At that, the others started giggling, while Jieun simply stared at Seonghwa with her ice-cold gaze. 

[Song Ice is back]

WANTEEZ EP.10 — HEALTH CHECK-UP

“Oh, Jieunie’s awake?” Seonghwa asked, raising his eyebrows. 

Yunho immediately stood up, grinning. “Let’s go visit her.” 

A few of the members made their way to the recovery room, careful as they filed inside so as to not make any noise. Jieun was laid on one of the beds, the blanket wrapped over her body and around her head so that you could only see her face. 

“Cute,” Seonghwa said with a soft smile when he saw her.

“Who’s there?” Jieun muttered. She raised her head slightly and opened one eye, smiling when she saw the others standing there. “Oh, hi oppas.” 

[Too cute to handle] 

The members that had walked into the room immediately started smiling, some even turning away to hide their reddening faces. Jieun let out a small yawn as she curled into a tighter ball. 

“I’m glad you’re all here,” she said, closing her eyes again. “Thank you for taking care of me. Let’s all be happy and healthy in the new year, ok?” 

[The real Song Ice, everybody] 

“Yes, Jieunie,” Yunho said as he patted her head. “Take care of yourself too, ok?” Jieun hummed in response, giving a small nod before resting her head down again. 

“Jieun-ah, good night.” Wooyoung bent down, giving the girl a small peck on the head. He grinned as he stood up straight, causing Yeosang to laugh. 

“If Jieun wasn’t high right now, she would’ve stared at you like she was going to attack.”

“Let’s let her rest,” Seonghwa suggested. He turned, using his arms to quietly usher everyone out of the room. 

WANTEEZ EP.21 – DRINK TOUR

jieun being the only sober (kinda) member + scaring Wooyoung into sobriety 

Jieun watched in amusement as the other members yelled at each other, the chain not having yet gotten to her. As she waited, she reached over and grabbed a water bottle from the edge of the table, taking a quick drink for herself before grabbing an empty glass and pouring some out. She turned and handed the glass to San beside her, whose face had gotten significantly redder in the last three minutes since the yelling game had started. 

At first he refused, thinking it was more alcohol, but Jieun shook her head. 

“Don’t worry, it’s water,” she said. “Now drink.” San nodded, gratefully taking the glass from her hand and drinking it all in one gulp. She took the glass back from him, using her other hand to rub circles on his back. 

[Thoughtful Jieunie]

Unfortunately for her, Wooyoung saw the kind gesture and started complaining. 

“Hey, why are you only taking care of him?” 

[Burning with jealousy]

Jieun snapped her gaze towards him, staring at Wooyoung so intensely that he began shrinking into his seat. 

“Ah… I’m sorry.” 

The other members started laughing as Wooyoung looked down in embarrassment, quickly grabbing a glass and downing another shot. Jieun chuckled, shaking her head as she grabbed the water bottle and handed it to him. 

“I don’t think Wooyoung’s drunk anymore,” Mingi said, laughing. 

The shoot continued, Jieun occasionally pouring more glasses of water and forcing the other members to drink them in between shots. She took a few shots here and there, but mainly focused on making sure the members with low alcohol tolerance (re: San) didn’t drink anymore. 

“Hey, Jieun,” Wooyoung said when she refilled his glass of water. “Did you even drink anything tonight?” 

“Of courth I did,” she replied, eyes wide.

Jongho laughed, raising his eyebrows. “What’s with that pronunciation?” 

She looked over at him, bringing her pointer finger up to her lips to shush him. At that moment, San let out a loud yawn. He swayed side to side before eventually falling onto Jieun’s shoulder. She moved slightly, adjusting herself so that he could fully lay down and rest his head on her lap.  

“That’s how you know she’s drunk,” Yunho said, observing the whole interaction. “She’s not fighting him off.” 

Jieun just blinked at him before letting out a sigh. She turned her head to the front and stared straight at the camera with a tired expression. 

[Jieun-ah… fighting?]

Ongoing Series - Thai

City of Stars (Fri iQIYI) ep 11 of 12 - Like most Thai BL pulps, this show doesn’t have much story to it. But I'm discovering that what it does have I actually really enjoy. I love that the gay boys got to play matchmaker for a change and I like how just GAY they are. It's nice. Refreshing.

We Are (Weds GMMTV iQIYI) ep 1-2 of 16 - University ensemble BL featuring PondPhuwin, WinnySatang, AouBoom, MarcPawinPoon. I like it. It’s old school Thai BL, but having fun with itself and its tropes. I’m not expecting much, so I don’t mind it waffling. All the couples are comfy. Chemistry is okay. Friendships are nifty. I like Pond's floppy hair. We fine. 

Two Worlds (Thurs IQIYI) ep 5 of 10 - What an extremely bloody episode. And bad guy turned out to be very bad indeed. And now pretty much everyone is dead. Nice kiss. Of course. 

Deep Night (Thurs iQiyi) ep 6 of 8 - It’s cute, they happy, not a ton happened. Random gratuitous bathing. As you do in BL. And I still think the sides should just end up in a thrupple

Only Boo! (Sun YouTube) ep 2 of 12 - Oh they very cute. Also very silly. 

1000 Years Old (Thurs iQIYI) ep 9 of 12 - No. NOT THE GUITAR. YES abandon guitar for the sniff test! Love this for them. And me. My most favorite trope defeated my least favorite trope. VICTORY!!!

Unknown (Taiwan Tues YouTube & Viki) ep 8 of 11 - It’s just so good. Baby went away, grew up, and learned how to become a temptation... and a husband. 

Gray Shelter AKA Gray Currents (Korea Thurs iQIYI) 1 of 5 eps - SooHyuk, only just surviving, reunites with YoonDae, his (brief) younger stepbrother who feels abandoned. They end up living together. The younger brother is played by Lee Jae Bin of Choco Milk Shake. OMG. STEPBROTHERS TROPE. Lucky me! Two in one season. Yay!!!! It's Korea so great visuals too. I shallow but yeah, this is great.

Living With Him AKA Kare no Iru Seikatsu (Japan Thurs Gaga) ep 1 of 10 - Kindly Ryota goes off to uni only to find his new roommate is his childhood bestie, Kazuhito. Kazuhito doesn’t have a girlfriend and Ryota tries to help him figure out why. Same director as Old Fashion Cupcake. It’s utterly charming. I am charmed. Also the framing is gorgeous (of course). Very stylish.

Love is Better the Second Time Around AKA Koi wo Suru nara Nidome ga Joto (Japan Weds Gaga) ep 6fin - I don’t know. Kind of a flat ending with the leads apart for most of it. I enjoyed this show but it never really hit with me. 

Summation

After a teen betrayal and resulting separation a reporter reunites with his first love. That love wants him back. I enjoyed the authenticity of a reunion romance explored in Japan's quintessentially contemplative yet surreal way. The juxtaposition of the tenderness of the sex scenes with this Japanese style of authenticity was oddly elegant but all in all this still fell a little flat for me. There's nothing objectively wrong with it, but in total the narrative felt sluggish and the main couple were just... stiff (in the wrong way). Frankly, I'd rather just rewatch Tokyo in April is. 8/10

4/26 My Stand-In (Thai iQIYI) 12 eps - adaptation of Chinese novel "Professional Body Double" by Shui Qiang Cheng. Stars Up (Lovely Writer) and Poom (Bake Me Please) directed by the same team as KP (not a recommendation IMHO - my biggest criticism of that show was the clashing directing styles). This one looks complicated, lemme try: Joe is a stuntman for famous actor Tong. Joe falls in love with Ming but Ming sees Joe as nothing more than a Tong-replacement. After learning this horrible truth, Joe dies. Joe then wakes up in the body of another man also named Joe. He manages to rebuild the same life as before—with the same people eventually re-meeting Ming. Ming wants Joe back but Joe doesn't understand why. But Ming seems to know what's going on and wants to give him some kind of explanation.

I'm exhausted just trying to describe the plot.

A reminder of how I do these reaction posts as I watch things. I just write my reactions and thoughts down literally they happen. Think more of a bullet point format. Wrap up thoughts:

They showered/bathed together 3 times in one episode and thats insane. Lmao whatever guys 😂 this was just an excellent episode showcasing their closeness, their intimacy, their silliness, their individuality and their soft spoken nature with each other. It showed the way they consistently consider each other, what the other wants and needs. I don't think I have anything to expand on from what I've already said above. I really loved this episode. Fully plan on the last episode making me cry.

MCL NG Halloween Event 2024 - Jason Scene

thoughts on the jason scene from the halloween episode and my personal opinion under the cut (beware of spoilers <3):

(just me yapping, as usual)

i mean, disappointed but not surprised.

as a general overview: it was overall very boring, unoriginal following the same theme of ep 6 (is this gonna be a common thing? is this gonna be "their thing"?), and just weird and creepy?

along with episode 7, this is the second instance where ysaline tries to physically harm jason (which is a type of plot point that baffles me in contemporary romance) and this time she actually does? she wounds him (he is described as bleeding and being aa mildly serious cut, somehow a boxcutter managed to tear through clothing and make a considerable gash but thats whatever i guess)? im sorry? this is not the kind of romantic plot that i expected or wanted, i know i joke a lot about these things but i really find it creepy that, again, physically harming the guy im supposed to like is another common theme?

and that brings me to my other issue with the episode, whats the point????? in what moment you decide that it would be a wonderful idea to dress like a serial killer and chase around a woman that is genuinely, actually scared of you right now? maybe im the sensitive mf here but where is the fun in frightening like that (frightening to the point of wanting to stab you ????) someone you allegedly like? (and also reminder that these two *barely*, *hardly* know each other at this point, they're not friends, they're hardly acquaitances) and then just dropping the "haha it was a joke i like that you have courage like that ;) i want you by my side in my company" ? hey just as a little heads up BV, throwing in a cool quote or a fun flirty dialogue and illustration that people will like, right after a questionable scene, doesnt automatically cancel it out yknow

maybe its me that im too critical, maybe its me that i like doing deep dives, maybe its me that im too autistically hooked onto this game to consume it surface level, i dont know

oh yeah, also, i found the episode unbareably boring despite all of this and we have very little actual time with him, which at this point im used to i guess

to end this, and repeatinng points i mentioned before, this is far from what i expected from jason's route when i started this game, i would rather, i would *love* if his route was based around a lot of sexual attraction and mutual hornyness that eventually and slowly develops into a real romance and "oh no i actually have feelings for her/him and its no longer fooling around", than whatever creepy "cat and mouse" game they have now, but anyway

i need to say that the closeness and that hand on the shoulder is doing things to me, wish it had a different context but ill just write my own scenario for it, hopefully before the year 3000 because i still have that episode 7 inspired scene half done swimming in the drafts

I made a pause thinking and trying not to burn my lips "I think that this a great moment to tell you what happen after Abu Dabi. Well, I sign my contract with McLaren, I was feeling bad about the decision, just for Danny and I spent the night with him and his girlfriend just talking and at some point we got more serious and I just told him and without knowing about Red Bull: What is a home if not the first place you learn yo run from?"

I smiled to the camera "Then he told me about the third driver offer and I felt different, by the time he leave in 2018 I guess that he felt that he was destroying everything and he just needed to slip quietly to the back door without causing to much noise and then not stop running. And maybe that was he needed more than what he really wanted, let go the feeling of wanted to go back and remember what you once had and what you once where "

"But then I told him that it's funny that the feeling of leave home and being far away make us wander our choices but for Danny is something else. He's back home and ready to no longer remember which tale of his past is true and which is an invention. It felt odd being back home...

Since graduating high school, and the tour right after the fact, your band moved to the city, and put out an EP. F/n and her girlfriend are engaged...

Life's crazy.

Popularity was steady. You go to other towns to open, and open at venues in the city...

You help her break down the merch stand as your bandmates bring the packed stuff to their cars.

"Great show," A very familiar voice makes you stop in your tracks

"Oh... It's you..." F/n sighs, rolling her eyes, "You might want to take this one..."

As if you didn't have a guess on who it could be. F/n takes the last merch bin from your hands as you stare blankly into the car via trunk.

"Y/n, I know you can hear me," Her voice says

You slowly turn around, stiff. However, lightly gasp.

It was Bridget...

Only...

It definitely didn't look like her...

But it was her.

Her pink hair? Gone.

Bright, peppy style? Watered down to less brighter clothing.

"Bridget...." You say

Awkward silence other than your condensed breathing...

"That's all you have to say to me?" She asks

You shut your friend's trunk and brush past her.

"I don't have time for this right now Bridget," You wave her off over your shoulder

"But, I do," She says, following behind you

"You can speak now while I finish upbringing these out," You say, picking up one last container

"No, I want to speak to you face to face," She says

"I can't bear to look at you right now," You sigh, putting the container in the bassist's truck bed, "Now go home. I'm sure Hook isn't pleased you're here to see me."

"Yeah... About that..." She sighs

"What?" You scoff, "Hook cheat on you or something?"

You turn when she doesn't answer right away. So you turn to look at her but the tension in your body goes away when you see her nails nearly clawing at her elbows, and her lip quivering.

"Get in," is what comes out of your mouth

I might regret this....

She walks over to your passenger seat and gets in with no other words exchanged.

"Y/n!" F/n whisper-hisses

You look over and see them throwing their arms in the air; 'what the fuck?!' written on their face. Your face contorts with; 'I might regret this..' You walk to the drivers side and get into it. You drive off from the venue, going to your go-to late-night food stop.

"Ahh, Y/n, long time no see," The manager smiles, "I'll get your usual ready."

"I have Bridget with me too," You say

"Ahh, I'll get her usual ready as well!" He adds

The sliding door closes for a moment before he opens it to take your card to cash out the order.

"You know, in the last four years, Bridget comes to this place and orders whatever she got the first time you've brought her here," He tells you, giving your card back

You sit and wait for him to bring back the food.

"Hook never approved, so I had always gone here on my own when I'm home for the weekend," Bridget confesses

"Of course he didn't," You sigh, "It's practically soul food. Really hits the spot after a long day."

After getting food, you stop in the downtown pavilion.

"How often do you come home?" You ask, "Just to eat this food?"

"Mostly every weekend..." She answers, fidgeting with the hem of her sleeve, "Part of me hoping to see you here...."

"Well, if you must know, I have my own place in the city now," You say

"Is that so?" She sighs, sounding sad

"Well, I'm not driving back there tonight," You add, "Need a bit of a scenic change..."

"Oh... What about your music?" She asks

"We're kinda taking a break," You answer, "We've just been doing our local shows. Had to cap off ticket sales when we hit the capacity."

"Well, lucky me then," Bridget says, "I try to get into the small, local shows... But, only been lucky this one time..."

"Oh... You still follow our socials then?..." You say

"You sound upset about that..." Bridget says

"No, I'm not upset. Just surprised about it," You clarify, "You know, after Hook, at least from what I've seen, wouldn't let you listen to anything pertaining to the band. Especially me. If it's okay to ask, what... Happened between the two of you?"

She puts her food down and sighs, trying to find where to begin...

"You really don't have to start way back when," You say, "Just when you found out or whatever..."

"Okay," She says, "Basically, I walked into his apartment, wanting to surprise him after I came back from my culinary internship.... Saw a girl sitting on the couch next to him; his arm wrapped around her any everything..."

"Ouch," You say

"Blocked him on everything," She continues, "But, saw his pathetic apologies before then."

Well, now she knows how I felt about simply seeing her with Hook after winter break...

"How long ago?" You ask

"Last month," She answers, "At least, I found out last month."

"Ouch, harder," You sigh, "You two weren't living together right?"

"No, I wanted my own place," She says

"Must have been hard for Hook," You say, "Or not. I don't know."

"Might not have been," She tries to not cry

"Where'd your pink hair go?" You ask, changing the subject

"Felt too connected to high school," She says, wiping emerging tears

"Come on, you were the most popular girl in the halls," You say

"Ended up not feeling worth it," She says

"Hmm... Is blonde your natural hair color?" You ask

She nods, "Who in their right mind would go around, saying that their natural hair color is pink?"

"No one," You chuckle, "Do you... Still do cheerleading?"

"Yeah, at Auradon University," She answers, "Not the captain but it's nice not having so much responsibility on your shoulders for a change. You should come to a game. The girls would be ecstatic to find out I know someone in a bad they love."

"Oh?" You ask, "They love my friends and I?"

"Oh, absolutely, I never hear the end of it," She says, "I wanted to say that I went to high school with two of the members, but I got scared that if I do, I'd be asked so many questions. I also hadn't seen you until tonight..."

"Hmmm..." You say, "Well, I just might make an appearance. I have to make sure it'll fit into my schedule."

"You would do that?" She asks

"Why not make them jealous?" You joke

You pull into her driveway... Taking you back down memory lane.

"Thanks for... Driving me home," She sighs into a smile

"You're welcome," You slightly smile, "I'll possibly see you around."

As you reach back home, you greet your parents, and head off to your room. As soon as you flop into bed, you see a text from F/n.

Dude, are you serious? What? You seriously drove around with Bridget?! I thought you weren't on a talking basis with her. She revealed some shit I'm not disclosing. It seemed pretty serious. Ugh I cannot believe you sometimes. My life, I'll fuck it up my way. Just.... Be careful this time. I will.

You throw on your pajamas and see a text from Bridget.

Hey... Hey, you doing okay? Yeah, I just wanted to ask if you were doing anything tomorrow. Not that I know of. Why? There's a fall market somewhere in the city that I've always wanted to go to. Care to join me? Oh the Central Fall Market. Sure. I can take you to one of my favorite places down there too. I'd like that :) See you tomorrow Yeah. Goodnight Y/n, thanks. For what? A lot of things.

You plug your phone in and adjust yourself into your bed comfortably and lay there until your eyes grew heavy.

You drive a few doors down to her house; Bridget waiting for you on her porch. Almost immediately she runs to your car with barely any time to put the car in park.

You find decent parking and the both of you begin walking to the marketplace.

"Have you been here yet?" She asks

"Not yet," You answer, "I'm really more about the oddities things, not the cutesy market kind of thing."

You watch as she rushes to a random stand....

"Hey I'm going to look around a bit," You whisper in her ear

She turns to you and nearly gasps at how close you were to her face. Your eyes move to her lips but quickly move back up to her eyes. You clear your throat as you walk to the stand that caught your eye.

You see crotched things. You pick up a few of them and hand the vendor your money.

"Thanks Y/n," They say

"Oh, you know my name?" You ask them

"I follow your band," She mentions, "Been to a few shows here and there. Ya'll are a vibe."

"Thanks," You simply say and then walk away

You walk back over to Bridget, who was now eyeing some bar soap. You tap her shoulder and she turns to you. You hold up a paper bag and the second she looks into it, she squeals. In the midst of her excitement, she gives you a kiss on the cheek. You stand there as you watch Bridget happily moves onto the next area.

The both of you find a hot chocolate stand and you buy to chocolate for the both of you. The only open seating was a loveseat in the corner, near the window.

"Sorry," She says

"For?" You ask, trying to keep yourself composed as much as possible

"Making you uncomfortable," She says, "You're all stiff. That's not good for the cold."

She swings her arm around your shoulder and leans you back into the couch with her.

"I've kinda missed moments like these," She confesses, "Hook never wanted to do the simple things like these.... Saw them as boring and rather go to a party instead."

"Have you gone to some?" You ask

"A few... The types if parties he takes me to... Aren't for me," She says

"That sucks," You sigh, "What kind of thing... Do you like?"

"Simple strolls through the market," She gestures to what the both of you were doing, "The simpler things. You're a whole celebrity, and yet you're making the time to do these things."

"Well, like I said, my friends and I are on a break from music," You clarify, "Performing is on a 'need openers' basis."

"Still, you're the popular one now," She chuckles

"I don't care about popularity," You say, "People here know when to treat a musician like a regular person. They'll acknowledge me, ask for a photo or auto here and there. But, have yet to be stalked."

"Hope not," She says, "About the stalking part."

"Hmm..." You sigh, leaning onto her shoulder

The both of you watch as people begin filing out to the city.

"Hungry yet?" You ask

"A little, yeah," She answers, "Taking me to that place you were talking about?"

"Yep, come on, let's get food," You stand, holding your hand out to her

You watch as she slightly smiles, takes your hand and stands up after you.

You park your car in the lot and get out, waiting for Bridget to follow.

"Hey Y/n!" The hostess greets you as soon as you walk in the door, "Just you again?"

"Actually...." You say, stepping to the side, revealing Bridget

"Oh! You've finally brought a date!" She grabs a few menus, "Follow me."

"Date?" Bridget whispers, following behind you

"Oh, it's nothing," You try to play it off

"We're one of the only places open late, so she always comes here," The hostess continues talking, "She mentioned someone she had a crush on, hoping to bring her here one day."

"Okay thanks!" You raise your voice

She snickers and she walks away.

"What was that about?" She asks, sitting across from you

"Since moving here, I've needed to find a new post-concert food stop over here," You explain, "This is the place."

"Cheating on your hometown post-concert food place are we?" She teases you

"Hey, doesn't count if I'm not there all the time," You argue

"Fair point," She sighs

The both of you order food.

"What did the hostess mean by 'you finally brought a date'?" She asks

"Like she said, I mentioned wanting to bring a specific person here," You say

"Is that... Person me?" She asks

"Maybe, maybe not," You take a sip of your drink

*Bridget's POV* She chuckles as she leans back into the chair and sips her drink. You look at her wrist; a tattoo.

"I noticed you had a sleeve," You point out, "What is it?"

"You'll see eventually," She replies

A waitress comes with some food and she continues leaning back in her chair.

"What?" You ask

"Take the first bite," She tells you, "I want to see your reaction."

You take the food off the plate and take the first bite. Your mouth waters as you take another, and another...

*Y/n's POV* "See?" You chuckle, beginning to eat, "Hits the spot after a gig down here."

"Does this place have any other locations?" Bridget asks

"Not that I know of. Hey, W/n, is there any other locations of this place?" You call your waitress over

"Probably in the next city over.... Auradon, I think," She answers

"Oh! I'll have to check out that one too," Bridget says, 'I attend Auradon University."

"Ugh, that prep college for rich snobby kids?" She scoffs

"Hey hey, Bridget, isn't a rich snobby kid," You defend her

"I'm so sorry Y/n," She raises her hands in defeat, "I didn't realize that your girlfriend... Was..."

Your eyes widen and you give her the stare of; 'go.' So she doeskin most likely going to figure out how to earn your forgiveness.

"Girlfriend?" Bridget blushes

"She's at Vill Isle University," You explain, "Auradon's biggest rival."

"I don't care about being called rich or snobby," She says, "She called me your girlfriend."

Of all things....

"Sometimes people say things under stress," You explain, "Plus, they all like me in here. I'm basically a regular."

The both of you finish dinner and begin driving back to your hometown.

"We have a show coming up next weekend in the city if you want to go," You say

"I'd love to," She replies, "But, it looked like it was sold out..."

"I can get you an all access pass," You blurt out

"You'd... Do that?" She asks

"Yeah," You say, "You'd have to just give them your ID to verify you're the person that's on the list. I'll get it taken care of tomorrow."

"Thank you," She says

You walk Bridget to her front door.

"Thanks for today," She says, "I honestly needed it."

"Good," You sigh

"I'm sorry," She says

"For?...." You ask, as if you didn't have a guess

"High school shit," She says

"Don't worry about it," You say, rolling your eyes, "That was awhile ago and-"

"No, I need to apologize for it," She says, "There-there had been a lot and-"

"Hey whoa slow down," You say, cupping her cheek

"Why don't we talk about it another day then?" You suggest

You sigh as you gently kiss her forehead. You saw the flush flooding to her cheeks. You clear your throat as you slowly retract your hand, putting it back down to your side.

lmaoooooooo the most hilarious scene so far in Lost You Forever has to be in ep 7 when Ye Shiqi is reunited w his fam and wearing fancy clothes and her brother-cousin (who has no idea that she's a girl or his sis) is just 👀👀👀 and enjoying the tea. He already figured out Shiqi's identity, so now he's just having the time of his life watching this incredibly gay shit going down. Wild horses could not pull him from this table.

i have the urge to ramble so why not ramble about murder drones

i have many fears over episode 8, my biggest one being is that everyone is going to fucking die, and since im now considered the khan guy, why not talk about him (THIS IS SO LONG HOLY FUCKING SHIT)

ok so funnily enough, im prepared if he does drop dead in ep 8. people have teased me going “oh lol what if khan dies in ep 8” but little do you all know ive been prepared since ep 7 dropped, my wife has improved so much he’s bound to be sniped by liam. i’d be upset as hell and act like a wife who lost her husband at sea but i would not be too surprised if he is killed off

before it was confirmed ep 8 is the series finale, i was a s2 believer and i held onto hope that they wouldn’t kill khan because it’d make his character feel worthless. you see this man improve so much to be a better father to uzi and grow a pair to actually do something; to me, him dying would have made all of that useless, the hypothetical season 2 could have grown his character more if he lived, hell, maybe even show flashbacks of him during his ‘kill all humans’ phase. ep 7 shows khan has nowhere to go but up (or go insane, like the ep 8 teaser showed us)

but since season 2 is not real, i have to accept the fact that yeah, khan might die. so instead of being upset over that, why not speculate how he’ll fuckin die even though him being in the teaser looking batshit insane makes me think he’ll be a survivor. look at him. he will live off of pure adrenaline. anyways.

it’d 100% be a sacrifice, his apology for everything he’s done (which i fucking HATE i wanted him to grow more to become more redeemable to others not [death = hooray your sins are mostly forgiven] but i just gotta suck it up for now)

it’d definitely be for uzi or nori, make sense if he sacrificed himself for both of them [“Turns out, I’m not who either of you needed”] buuut i think it’d be more uzi focused. he was the one who raised her for the entirety of her life, actually tried to become better and changed his main focus to her and tried to help whenever he could after that, he would take a hypothetical bullet for her. it could even parallel to pilot when he left her for dead, now he’s the one dying and telling uzi to leave him so she can save herself and the others (it could even reference heartbeat where she thought he actually died, i don’t know how they’d do it, but yeah. i like that scene in heartbeat, i enjoy characters i love oh so much in severe pain.)

while i like this a lot, i would want khan to sacrifice himself for someone else more than his own wife and daughter. shocking, i know. i make my entire personality based off these idiots why wouldn’t i want a doorman family reuni-

n. if khan dies in ep 8, i want him to die sacrificing himself for n. i want n to be in horror at what has happened as khan is slowly dying in front of him, basically giving n his blessing to date uzi even though the entire planet is doomed.

it parallels nori’s disapproval of the relationship, shows that khan’s views on the dds (mainly n) have changed [killing machine -> bad influence on uzi -> someone who genuinely cares for her, someone who she needed] -and i guess nicely ties up the gift that is his redemption arc.

it makes sense for him to give said blessing, he’s seen how close uzi has gotten with n as well I’m pretty sure when he reunites with nori (plsplspls) after they calm down she’s definitely gonna be like “YOU LET OUR DAUGHTER “HANG OUT” WITH THE THINGS YOU SAW KILL ME” so that’d be fresh on his mind when he hypothetically drops dead.

also i’d feel like him sacrificing himself for uzi is like. too perfect or easily guessable, maybe they could hint “oh yeah khan’s def gonna die to save uzi & nori” when haha sike he’s dying to save the future son-in-law (if there is a future)
