u ever think about how dolphins might be wondering "those things with the long spindly fins that come and try to pat us sometimes... where do those live? what do they eat? i've never seen a pod of them hunting down some tasty fish, though i have seen them trying to pat sharks on occasion. maybe the sharks know what those things are? you know someetimes one of them goes up for air and it never comes back down again? damn, what ARE those things?!"?

Trying to reactivate my Neopets account after reblogging that comic earlier. Just to play for a little while.

I wasn’t Kiragecko until Neopets said that Kira was too short. Neopets predates … everything.

Neopets isn’t letting me create a new account named Kiragecko, because one already exists. I can’t play as someone who ISN’T Kiragecko!

I don’t CARE if I haven’t played on this site since 2006. And no longer have ANY security information for it. They need to give me my name back!

"White caps!" she shouted, overwhelmed with joy, even though she'd never tasted them in her life. They were food, finally, real food!

Immediately she put the baby on the ground and started to harvest them, eating one all at once, without catching breath in between bites. She laughed real hard, it tasted horrible, mud like, it was horrible, horrible! But she had food!

Then she saw the little pond behind the rocks, shrieked again and jumped down to drink water from her hands, lots and lots of cool, fresh water. Laughing she grabbed the baby.

"Isn't this nice? Isn't this nice, little baby?"

She held her up in the air and snuggled her belly, laid her beside the pond and sprinkled some cool water in her cooing face. The little baby felt so hot. She felt very hot herself, too.

"Oh! Watermelons!" Madeira promptly ran towards a small crop, "Oh miracle, look, little baby, these are watermelons!"

But before she could even reach for them, something very painful clawed at her back. Pain, like burning, fire - fire!

She was on fire!

Panicking and screaming, fear seizing her heart that the baby would catch fire too, she plunged the baby in the pond to cool her down. Yelling apologies at the upset and crying little soul, and panicking even more to find the pond too shallow to immerse herself in it, she left the baby in the grass and made a run for the sea.

Like lightning, so fast.

I truly freaked out!

Madeira was only my second sim in 12 years of simming to catch fire from overheating, and that first sim (a cavemen guy) died because no one was around to put him out.

So here I went, oh nooo she burns to death on day three and leaves the baby to perish in her wake?!? Right then I found out, by clicking like mad on anything water-y, the sea has a life-saving option! But then oh boy she will never make it there in time if she has to casually - burning - stroll there with the baby in her arms (see note on previous post)... So I made her leave the baby behind and run for it.

With that, game mechanics zapped baby home. But Madeira was saved 🥵 If I'd known all of MC's functions better then, I would have teleported the baby back to her (for continuity). But now with Madeira at sea and baby at home, and when it again would've taken hours to collect the baby and walk back to the hills... and Madeira really needed food... that is why you see her alone in the next episodes.

And I have no pictures of this, of course... too busy to save my sim, and to save a whole storyline at that!
