Hi! So I was scrolling through your WH Lights Out tag (very fun au btw!) and I noticed that when you were listing the potential orders the rest of the gang is going to wake up in, you didn't include Sally. Is that because she's just automatically going to be the last to wake up, or do you have something else planned? (Also, I'm really curious just what happened between Wally and House! I get if you don't want to expand on it quite yet if you've got something planned, though.)
you hit the nail Right on the head! Sally is indeed the final one to regain consciousness, and she jumps right out of her years-long nightmare straight into a waking one. but i Will say that i do indeed have something planned beyond "oh she just gets up last" she needs to be Woken Up, and it's a... whole thing. i'm still cementing it in my mind but rest assured it is Dramatic and has Consequences (good & bad!)
as for Wally and Home... yeah i don't think i can put it into words yet! i'm trying to write down a concise explanation in my doc and its a little... involved. and messy. to say it plainly and without actually Saying It, basically Home tries to protect Wally in the only way it knows how, and that attempt fucks up a lot of stuff, including their relationship. Wally learns what grudges and resentment are. essentially, they get a divorce <3

Sally's apology to John really struck me as a raw, meaningful parent-to-child apology. She didn't dumb anything down, she didn't lie to soften anything, she claimed all of her actions... he was so young, and Sally reacted to his age not by talking down to him, but by finding a way to describe the whole truth so he could understand
Most importantly I think is how she kept saying that John is a good person. Like...she thought she was about to die. And she didn't spend that time asking John for forgiveness or to remember her in a good light. She dedicated her words to making John feel loved. She spent that precious time giving him something to make sense of it all, to heal somewhere down the line even when she's not there

woah!! more of them!! 💞 and wally’s all the way up there now, how crazy!!!
i decided to tweak daisy’s design just a smidge—she looks a lot more Doll Like now, i think!!! cuter!! i imagine that if she had not been cut before welcome home started airing, this would’ve been a signed photo people could buy of them, like a print signed by kermit + miss piggy!

All the angst got the brain kicking and thinking about the human's side too and how they could survive the menagerie of danger they stumbled on. So, Sally's sleepwalking mode is blind to the world and loud/odd sounds activate her more violent side, right?
If the human that enters the studios is quiet enough and vigilant enough to realize the other puppets don't dare to go near Sally, could they end up using Sally's ring of light as a 'safe' zone? Or just tiptoe just behind her robes as she wanders around until she sleeps again?
It could even be the same pic with the whole group staring but slightly tinted blue and bam! Its a twisted game of tag, but its better than facing off with the titanic dog. Let alone what the bird would do.
HA thats a really funny mental image! scooby-doo shenanigans if i may! Sally is a bit too sensitive to sound for that to work, but... that does make me Think...
