Is it just me, or is it kinda weird that Monty Python has never been parodied that much in pop culture, or at least not as often.

Now, what I mean by that is that I’m not talking about MP’s sketches and/or famous & well known characters getting parodied in pop culture, no no no, I’m talking about THE PYTHONS THEMSELVES.

Hell I can’t even think of people who can do impressions of the Pythons THEMSELVES (aside from John Cleese cuz ofc he’s the more “well known” member ig)

Like i don’t think even Family Guy itself has made a cutaway gag that was smth like oh idk uhh

“hey Lois, remember the time that I did [X] with the Pythons”

[cut to Peter Griffin hanging out with the Pythons (who are themselves voiced with somewhat decent voice impressions of the Pythons) doing [X] thing]

maybe I’m blanking on some other examples, but tbh the only thing that parodied the Pythons themselves that I actually remember is this one Harry & Paul sketch from a few years ago, as shown below :

But even then, the sketch iirc only parodied John Cleese, Michael Palin and Terry Jones. Like it leaves out Eric Idle, Terry Gilliam & Graham Chapman for some reason.

Like the Pythons were like the Beatles of Bizarre Comedy in terms of how influential they both were in their respective fields (The Beatles for Music and The Pythons for Comedy).

I bring this up because UNLIKE the Pythons however, the Beatles themselves have probably been parodied TO DEATH over the centuries/decades like OMG.

Again, this is just my personal thoughts and incase if I am indeed blanking on some examples of the Pythons THEMSELVES getting parodied, do let me know said examples in the comments/tags/reblogs!! I’d much appreciate it fr!!

I'm a bit shy on that stuff (for reference, here) so it went in the tags, but yes, fauxcest prongsfoot was introduced to me by a mutual who responded on literally the og post and said "what if they're into that" and they told me about fauxcest and it pretty much altered my brain.

The idea started off as just pure smut, like a pwp thing...but then I realized Sirius's desperation for familial connection so I just mixed them with fauxcest and yeah here we are, emotional pwp??

Anyways, James had already noticed how happy and content Sirius gets when he's offhandedly called 'brother' in conversation. "Yeah my brother Sirius" and he would be quietly beaming or struggling not to smile. Because...well Sirius came from a loveless family, I think in this universe even Regulus is ashamed to be his brother so yeah, Sirius desperately needs someone that's truly proud to call him and claim his as family.

So again James knows it's a whole serotonin/ dopamine boost for Sirius but they've never mixed the 'brotherly' part of their relationship with the sexual one cause ig it feels like a line they shouldn't cross?? however, at the same time, I'm thinking they're already used to thinking of each other as a brother that the term kind of just slips out naturally?? During sex, I mean.

So the first time it happens, either Sirius is getting hard?? moans unconsciously?? or cums immediately??? idc, he's like wtf what happened how did that even my body doesn't do that I'm so sorry idk what's wrong with me (basically confused and horny as u say) and James is like shh it's hot it's okay you're fine and yk, cue alot of emotional comfort here bc idk that far into the idea.

And thennn this brings to Effie/Monty. I think for Sirius involving the parents is a lot more overwhelming bc like the sibling progression with James was a slow build up so he could keep up with it?? Hence why it was surprising and yes, a lot, but not as overwhelming as satisfying his desires for Effie/Monty becoming his parents. Like the whole time he's like, I'm fine with being a family with only James, being part of the family but also not really, but once Effie/monty is involved, it's like fantasy is not longer a fantasy?? Like it's been solidified, a reality that he can't look away from??

And btw, the sentence used to involve the parents has to be natural?? If I make sense, like smth incestuous siblings would say?? So that Sirius gets the "oh my god, this feels like a family" vibe???

So yeah he breaks apart and starts crying and James is there to pick up the pieces or...keeps fucking him idk but more importantly, Sirius is finally realizing he is family!! Fully family!! Through the power of sex!! And a lot of crying and comforting!!

Throughout it all Sirius is a complete emotional disaster, a mess, a baby James is coddling and doting on.

Fluttering in and out of consciousness, a very comfortable Vanessa hears commotion from somewhere inside the apartment.

Her eyes were heavier than Freddy's head, and her mountain of blankets weighed her down. Why was she awake, again?

I think.... I heard something. Maybe it was Gregory.

That works like a charm. She can slowly feel herself gain more energy to shift out of bed and sit up. Nail polish and clutter fall off of her side table as she reaches for her phone. Vanessa groans.

Fine, I can just walk without a light. I should know where all my furniture is from memory.

Her feet immediately catch on a pile of laundry she'd been neglecting. "Shit," she whispers as she hops until she regains balance. Vanessa steps more carefully this time, successfully feeling for the door frame and switching the light on.

There's a faint.. sniffing kind of noise. Then it goes quiet.

"..Ness?"

Her heart beats faster as she jogs to Gregory's room, feeling for the walls. It's right at the end of the hall.

Gregory's 'room' (a room she once used for art and sewing crafting, now containing just a makeshift bed and spare furniture) was pitch black; save for Freddy charging on the desk beside his bed. The beam of his eyes allowed her to see just half of Gregory's face.

"Are you okay? Did anything happen?" she runs a hand through her untamed bedhead.

"Oh. Um, I just heard.. you walking around, so I wanted to make sure, uh, it was you. I'm a light sleeper, sorry." Vanessa noticed how Gregory sniffed in between some of his words. Her limited view of him appeared as if he was on edge. Scared.

"..You sure?"

He fidgets with his sweater sleeves.

"Yeah."

It had only been a week since Vanessa took in this stubborn, brave, creative kid. After five days of going through hell together in that mega mall. A hell that she took part in, god, maybe even orchestrated--

That wasn't me. It was never me. I got him out. We're safe.

She couldn't blame him for being so guarded. Especially towards her.

Ness leans on his doorframe. "Look, I um.." she pauses, unsure of where shes going with this.

"I would never want to discount how brave you are. You have ten times the courage I did at your age. But that doesn't mean... you're never scared."

Isn't that kind of contradictory?? She thinks. Gregory's eyebrows furrow; he's just as lost as Vanessa.

"Okay, I'm really sleep deprived. Crap." she mumbles. "What I mean to say is that I don't want you to be scared of being scared. You can.. talk to me about nightmares and stuff. You don't have to push down your fears anymore."

He doesn't respond, looking at the wall for a bit. Vanessa fidgets with her hair.

"It was about the animatronics," Gregory breathes out. "but y- Vanny wasn't there. I don't remember.. seeing her." He motions for Vanessa to come closer. She doesn't hesitate, sitting at the edge of the mattress.

"They chased me out of the pizzaplex doors, and then we were on that hill. But Roxy dragged me back and then I was in some kind of.. mirror maze? It was on fire, and I had to get low to the ground."

Vanessa listens intently. "But Monty started crawling after me, and he got my leg. Then they all started... Um. And then I saw that other rabbit in the mirror right before I woke up."

They both freeze.

"I don't know, the locations didn't make that much sense. But I could see every single detail of the characters. I could feel everything." His voice shakes, right before tears start to form.

Vanessa felt a pang in her heart. She had no idea whether to comfort him or let him come to that decision himself.

"...Could you stay in here for the night? Like, bring an extra mattress maybe.." he trailed off, wiping his eyes.

"Uh- of course. Yeah, I have a sleeping bag somewhere." she takes off to the hallway closet, leaving Gregory to sit and wait.

He stares into the corner of the room. Into the shadows. Something looks like it's there, but his brain knows it's nothing.

With nothing to do with his hands, he hugs one of his pillows. I wish Freddy didn't weigh a million pounds. He glances at the Glamrock Freddy plush sitting on the floor.

Gregory sighs, leaning over to grab it and fitting it into his arms.

"Is this good now?" Vanessa asks, sitting up in her sleeping bag and attempting to read Gregory's face in the darkness. He nods, seemingly content and burrowing back into his blanket.

Vanessa smiles and makes herself comfortable.

"Tomorrow I could go out shopping for your room, if you want." She stares up at the ceiling, envisioning where she would go. "Maybe some glow in the dark stars? My ceiling was full of 'em when I was younger."

Gregory made a sound that seemed like "mhm." He sounded ready to fall asleep right there and then. Vanessa wondered if her being here made him feel more safe.

"Night, Nessa." he mumbled

"Night, Greg."

I'm working on Cage, Reset, and Obsession in the background with co-writers. And currently on my own with codependency, bearcode, and TCAU which have their own fics in the works.

Also I'm so bad at tagging shit for my AUs consistently or I always use multiple tags so just have mercy on me. A good one is just "tsams/fnaf/dca au" for a catch all in my blog or "tsams/fnaf/dca ship" also works most of the time. In my AU Perry is the boys' uncle c: He's Lawrence's cousin and grew up with him in England, so they're pretty close.

I'm uhhh not a fan of Ferbnessa lol the age gap makes me uncomfy so no. Haven't decided yet but Vanessa is probably either gonna end up with Monty or with Lyla (whose age is unconfirmed, but I hc her to be around 19-20? And Vanessa is 18 in the AU since it's a 2 year timeskip so).

- I'm indecisive about what animal, could be a bear because ~branding~ so Wilbear

- he's the main for the band, so ultimately hes the most popular

- lowkey like Roxy but less in your face where hes like insecure (despite being the face of the franchise) hes more arrogant, superiority complex. It lessens as Dream helps him

- He is broken. So it becomes like a goal of Dreams to help him. Mainly because he has no choice at first

- The quests could be increasingly more dangerous. Techno could be decommissioned at this point. So its like a boss battle. You have to find all the parts including the one you need to help Techno (which is why Dream came here in the first place)

- Does he have his own game? Idk did freddy?

Philza

- Crow animatronic

- weakness: shiny objects (lowkey chica but not with food in that since lol)

- The most violent (not counting Techno)

- The big battle is literally Dream trying not to hurt him or get hurt but it ends with him getting hurt from an outside force (like gravity)

- He has the ride like Monty has so he be in the air (doubt he can fly)

- honestly, hes the daycare animatronic. Nothing happens when the lights go out

- Mostly dangerous in the ball pit, he will bite your ankles

- Dream screamed when he first saw him, which he is used to and went into Dealing with Upset Kid protocol

- Mostly kept him in one spot and if he tried to move, would be dragged back

- Snapped, when he realized Dream is an adult. Cue him chasing the poor guy around as he tries to figure out how to leave

Ranboo

- Was going to be the daycare attendant but actually Ranboo Laser Tag Arena? Teams are Red and Green respectively

- Half sun/half moon at all times

- If the lights go out, he turns violent, eyes glowing purple. Dream while trying to get the laser gun, finds this out. Any light snaps him out of it, but flashlights/camera flash/lazer for only a second or so

- Whenever is snapped out will apologize profusely like I'm sorry. I dont want to hurt you

- Dream has to find the generators and turn them back on

They’re older in this one. You’ll see. It fits the one shot I swear.

Harry and Jasmine have been together since they were 13 years old. Jasmine was Harry’s first girlfriend and she was his only girlfriend. They dated for about 10 years and the ‘magic’ faded as each year passed by.

One faithful day, Jasmine thought it was best to call it quits. Harry wasn’t surprised, but he was disappointed that they didn’t even try to fix or save their relationship. He really thought that they were each other’s endgame.

But he understood her reasons and he let her leave without hesitation. They didn’t have bad blood with each other, though. Jasmine even told him to not be a stranger if they ever bump into each other.

Harry didn’t cry when they broke up. He cried a long time ago when the ‘magic’ first started to fade. He was just really sad and he felt empty. After all, he’s been with Jasmine for a long time that he forgot to function as a single man. The last time he was single was at 12 years old. So, he couldn’t just ‘go back to the way he was before’, because last time he checked, he was still playing outside at 12 years old. Now he’s 23 and it’d be weird for him to play outside like his 12 year old self.

It had been three days since the break up and he never left the house. He was okay enough to leave his room, but not okay enough to leave the house. He’s scared to go outside, because he wouldn’t have Jasmine without him. He felt that if he went outside on his own, it wouldn’t feel right. Jasmine was his sense of familiarity. Now that she’s gone, he didn’t know what to do next. He sometimes stopped himself from calling her to ask how she’s holding up and how she’s able to do things on her own without him. He was happy for her, though.

He just wanted advice, s’all.

The Hamilton soundtrack blasted through Harrison’s speakers in the living room where everyone currently is. 

“Do you know how hard it is to lead? You’re on your own. Awesome. Wow. Do you have a clue what happens now?” Tom sang loudly as he played a game on his phone.

“Oceans rise, empires fall! It’s much harder when it’s all your call. All alone, across the sea. When your people say they hate you, don’t come crawling back to me.” Harrison continued as he scrolled through Instagram.

“Da da da dat da dat da da da da ya da da da dat dat da ya daaaaaa!” Tom and Harrison sang together. They looked at each other and chuckled, “You’re on your ooooooown.” 

“You guys are weird.” Harry said, not looking up from his phone. 

“Hamilton is art, Harry.” Harrison said. Tom nodded, “Yeah, Lin-Manuel Miranda is a genius.”

Harry playfully rolled his eyes, “Okay.”

The room fell silent for a while when Harrison broke it, “I’m going to the park to let Monty out for a bit. Who wants to tag along?”

“I will! I’ll take Tessa out.” Tom said and he looked at Harry, “Come with us, Harry.”

“Hard pass.” Harry said sharply.

“You need to go outside, Harry. You can’t stay here forever.” Harrison pointed out. “Besides, you’ll be with us.”

“Fine, but only this one time.” Harry sighed.

Upon arriving at the park, the three men walked the dogs. They talked about random things until Tom brought up the break up.

“So what’s your plan, genius?” Tom asked. 

“What do you mean?” Harry furrowed his eyebrows.

“You know, when will you start dating again? Will you even start dating again? I mean, I’ve seen Jasmine’s posts on Instagram and she’s out there socializing and shit.” Tom shrugged.

“You follow her on Instagram?! Since when?!” Harry asked in surprise.

“That doesn’t matter, Harry. Just answer me.” Tom said. Harry huffed, “I don’t even know how to go through the day without Jasmine helping me. How will I start dating someone else? I was 12 years old when I was last single.”

“Yikes.” Harrison chuckled.

“I don’t even know what my type is, because I never got to know other girls. Jasmine was my only girl and she was the only girl I’ve been with. I don’t have a wide range to choose from.” Harry said shyly.

“You’re lucky we’re here to help you.” Harrison said as he nodded towards an empty bench for the three of them to sit on as they let Monty and Tessa play with each other.

They sat down comfortably and they looked around. Some were jogging, having a picnic, taking photos for Instagram, but one girl stood out. She was standing up with a palette on her hand and a paintbrush on the other. In front of her was a canvas on an easel. She had paint on her clothes and some on her cheek. She didn’t seem to mind, though.

Harry stared at the artist longer than intended and Tom and Harrison took notice of this. Tom smirked and glanced at the girl before talking to Harry, “Go up to her.”

Harry snapped out of it and shook his head, “No, thank you.”

“You’ll be fine. Just start off as friends.” Harrison said.

“Jasmine and I started off as friends and where did that get us? A failed 10 year relationship.” Harry sighed in defeat. “Maybe love isn’t really for me.”

“Don’t talk like that, Harry. That’s bullshit.” Tom chuckled. “You’re 23. You’re still young to give up on love.”

“Yeah! Besides, Jasmine is different from that girl you were staring at.” Harrison added.

“Fine. I’ll talk to her so you could get off my back.” Harry shook his head and stood up.

“Thank us later when your relationship works out.” Harrison winked.

“She could be your endgame, you know. Just think about that.” Tom smiled positively at his younger brother.

Harry walked up to the girl and stood next to her. The girl felt Harry’s presence, but didn’t say anything. 

“It’s beautiful.” Harry commented. “I can’t paint for shit.”

The girl chuckled, “What do you do, then?” 

Her voice was different from Jasmine’s, but he didn’t care. He liked it.

“I, uh, I’m into photography. Although, I haven’t been taking photos recently.” Harry stammered.

“Oh, how come?” the girl frowned as she took a step back from her painting to check on it before going back to her previous spot to continue.

“My girlfriend of 10 years just broke up with me three days ago. Since then, I was too upset to do anything. This is my first time outside.” Harry chuckled bitterly at his own explanation.

“Oh, well I’m sorry for what you’re going through.” the girl turned to him and smiled. Harry looked at her and felt his heart beat quickly. If he had his camera with him, he would’ve took her picture already. It would’ve had an aesthetic vibe.

“Thanks.” Harry smiled too. “I’m Harry, by the way.”

“I’m Y/N.” she said before turning back to her painting.

Harry stayed there and talked to her for a while before it was time for him to leave with Tom and Harrison. He learned that she was at the park everyday at the same time and place, so it’d be easy to find her.

What does your instinct say as to how the Bellarke story will end? Whats your prediction? Me hoping for endgame ♥️

I am almost positive that Bellarke is a romantic endgame, because the story places them at the center of the narrative and their relationship has gotten more and more romantic as the seasons continued.

I am not so positive that Bellarke will get a happy ending and live together the way we’d like. They might die together. Which would be a bittersweet ending, as they’d be TOGETHER, but their journey would be over. 

I don’t think one would die leaving the other behind, although JR MIGHT go for that tragic ending. But it would leave one of them just surviving, rather than living, so it’s pretty grim. But if it DOES happen, they will be romantic canon before that happens and probably have a baby, which means it would have to be Clarke surviving, even though I think that story HAPPENED already, with s4. Although it’s possible that Bellamy could survive and in his grief be alone, although Echo MIGHT be there to pick up the pieces. That would be terribly tragic, but at least he wouldn’t be alone. I dont’ think it a likely ending though. 

Back to that Clarke surviving, with a baby. Okay, like i said, that happened in s4 (with madi as the child) and she nearly broke, but did manage to make it through. In order for this ending to happen, though, I think it would have to be TRANSFORMED so that we can see the development of the characters. It can’t just be a replay. They have to do it RIGHT this time. We’ve already seen Bellamy saying he can’t do that again, and he’s managed to fix the story there. 

But what if it’s reversed this time. And BELLAMY is about to be the one who stays behind to save everyone, thus sacrificing himself, and at the last minute, instead of closing the door and leaving him behind like Bellamy did in s4, she closes the door with HERSELF on the outside too, and joins Bellamy in whatever noble self sacrifice he’d intended in order to save his people and all humanity. 

“Together,” she says. Of course. 

No more, “I left her behind and we all die anyway.” He regretted it immediately, that leaving her behind. He would have preferred to die with her. 

Only she didn’t die, did she? 

So the tragedy there is that Clarke was ALONE, and Bellamy thought she was dead. So the way to replay that narrative, with the twist of the development the characters have been through to FIX the situation, is for Clarke to stay behind with Bellamy and do whatever it was together. 

ONLY

Plot twist: Bellamy and Clarke don’t die. It’s the anomaly, so instead of killing them, it sends them somewhere, or they get left in disconnected stream of time, idk. In my mind, the place they need to go back to is the earth. That’s the dream, right? From the opening scene of The 100. 

The rest of their friends and family think they are dead and sacrificed. Maybe they close the anomaly, I don’t know, no one else can follow it. Or not. Who knows. BUT whoever is left behind, Raven, Murphy, Madi, etc. They can’t stay where they are. Maybe Jordan, as his father’s son, believes he has the ability to fix the earth. Probably with algae, let’s be honest. So maybe instead of fleeing sanctum and the five colonies, our heroes get on the Eligius ship, go into cryo and go back to Earth as a MISSION to heal what has been broken. 

Maybe Octavia decides to go, as she’s finally taken on Lincoln’s concept that we are responsible for our monster when we let it out. And that means humanity has to fix what they destroyed. The earth. Raven takes off from Sanctum, and for once, she’s taking off of a planet that’s not on fire. 

They go back to earth where Green is going to attempt to make it green again (Make Algae Not War.) And land on the one spot that’s green, Eden of course, and find a thriving peaceful civilization.

75 years in the future (since they were in cryo) Bellarke never died. They were sent back to earth by the anomaly, to the destroyed earth. And they were left to live their lives in peace and happiness, to create that society and life that Miller, Bryan, Monty and Kane dreamed. And they either meet the ancient Clarke and Bellamy, or see a video of their lives where they are talking to their friends finally coming back to earth, and we see them get older, have kids, have survivors from the dead earth show up so they can make a new world, a new earth.

A beginning for humanity, without war.

That’s my spec. I’ve been working on it since the s5/6 hiatus. I used to think time travel, but the anomaly is more like space travel with time hijinks. I used to think they’d go back to earth at the end of s6, but s6 and s7 seem to be one continuous story. But there are some elements that need to come together. Bellarke need to be together. They need to go back to earth to fix what they did to it. Octavia needs to be fully redeemed as the symbol of humanity, in order for humanity to be restored. Bellamy needs to have his “mythic name” like Wanheda, and I suspect it might be something along the lines of “key.” Bellarke need to mirror Marper’s ending, the bittersweet happy ever after. Their PEOPLE need to win the battle, even if Bellarke is sacrificed to get it (that’s the bittersweet. They have victory but lose the people they love.) Jordan can fix the failures of Monty and Jasper, he can recover from his trauma from sanctum, like Jasper couldn’t, and his algae can save the world like Monty’s couldn’t. And Raven gets to take off of a planet without it being on fire.

This is a theory I’ve shared before, although this one comes from a different direction. Check the tags to see what else I’ve said. It’s changed and grown over time. I JUST figured out that Green will probably be a verb for Jordan which means like in s5, Monty’s algae WILL be the answer. And he said he could use it to make the land grow again, just like he did the cryo farm. 

The earth HAS to come back, otherwise they’ve failed as heroes saving humanity. Becuase humanity has to be responsible for the damage they did. They can’t just leave it behind and find new planets, that’s colonialism and turns humanity into a cancer, that spreads from planet to planet using up resources. (didn’t jasper say that human’s were the disease? also in one of JR’s references, the anomaly was the cancer, and they had to stop it. so it wouldn’t be so weird if humanity was the cancer in this one. or parts of humanity.)

So this theory would actually have Clarke and Bellamy dying in the end. Or near the end. Fandom will be DISTRAUGHT.

But what i’m saying is they won’t be dead, they will be transported. DEATH IS NOT THE END, yo. And long after our heroes think they are dead and try to continue on without them, BOOM. Here they are, living marperly ever after in the after life, paradise, peace on earth and chickens in the yard. Honored by their society as the people who saved humanity.

It’s a bold speculation,  but I’m seeing a lot of clues. Of course I won’t get everything right, but over the past year this theory has developed along with the new revelations. The anomaly and the other colonies are still the biggest wildcard. Also cadogan and sheidheda. I don’t know their stories. Or how they work. I suspect there’s an anomaly on earth. There’d have to be if cadogan is there since we know he was on earth with Becca when she died. 

Oh. Maybe Becca and Cadogan figured out the tech to do the anomaly, and Becca tried to stop it, because the last time her tech went rogue and killed everyone, so this time she’s wary, and she sees the potential for evil with the anomaly. So she tries to pull the plug. Which Cadogan (probably the ‘him’ who let ALIE out) does not like, because he’s a doomsday cultist. This would explain Becca’s dying words, “You dont’ understand Cadogan, I’m trying to save us all.” Or such. So he kills becca, enacts the anomaly, flees to another planet with hsi followers, but maybe someone stops the anomaly from being used again on earth or whatever. Or maybe everyone from shallow valley was actually FROM the anomaly, and they forgot it all after the anomaly faded. Oh these are all new theories. sorry. and not bellarke.

1. do you prefer writing with a black pen or a blue pen? I write almost entirely in this one specific brand of purple pen (I’ve found it helps with ye olde dyslexia) but black is the second best option. I also have a collection of gel pens, so I like those too.

3. if you could learn a new skill, what would it be? Um, like any skill? I have none? I want to learn ASL, though.

10. do you like your name? would you like to change it? My legal name is Abigail and I fucking hate it, but I don’t want to go through the rigor of leagally changing it when everyone jsut calls me Abbi anyway 🤷‍♀️

11. who is a mentor to you? One of my professors. She’s an AMAZING woman, and she’s so wonderful. She and a few other women spoke out against one of their old bosses that sexually assaulted several of them, and they managed to get him fired and kicked off the board of a newspaper he was on. She was the first person I opened up to about my own experiencees after that.

12. would you like to be famous? if so, what for? I think it’d be cool to be really recognizable by a certain group, so like be famous for a niche thing where those fans would recognize you, but not EVERYONE in the world would recognize you. I’d like to be an actor or a musician I think.

Word Count: 6,999  (i ask you, how the fuck?) Summary: The one where Aziraphale is inspired to give a crash-course in art appreciation. There should’ve been wiles involved, but Crowley gets lazy. “Unabashed by the human form,” Crowley repeated aloud. He held the flyer out to Aziraphale, fluttering the pastel paper. “What’d’you say, angel? Grab a briquette. Give the ol’ form a-bash.” His habit of artistically arranging himself in, on, or against any surface that could withstand him suddenly became appropriate. Topical even. Since the moment he received them, Crowley’s limbs had been rebellious, rarely seen going the same direction as his torso or hips. It took no effort to pose mockingly among the many ridiculous columns in Aziraphale’s shop. Crowley gave a demure tilt to his head, touched his glasses, and a perfect contrapposto appeared. A figure in black Italian merino, with just a hint of brimstone. Aziraphale scowled and grabbed back his flyer. “Be serious. You know better than anyone the difference between figure drawing as artistic expression, and, and some bawdy slip-tease.” “Strip-tease.” Crowley dropped the pose, defeated. “Only you would think a slip was bawdy.” Aziraphale took the flyer to his desk to smooth out the wrinkles suffered at Crowley’s scornful hand. “It’s art. And as a member of this community, it’s time I did my part to tend the cultural fires that make humanity what it is.” While Aziraphale tilled the mess of his desk for a spare piece of paper, and a pen to copy down the information, Crowley leaned over the flyer again, chin in his hand. A slim finger traced the items at the bottom. “Mm, yes, the community--and this here, where it says they’re serving yubari melon and kobe beef.” He looked pointedly into Aziraphale’s eyes, which’d gone glittery in a fight or flight response. “That’s a cultural fire that needs tending, is it?” “And Knipschildt chocolate.” “Sorry. Nip--” The chair, as it shot out from beneath the angel, made a sound like an elephant kicking a clarinet down a stairwell. Aziraphale stood over Crowley, glowering, helpless. Hangry. “Do not judge me for this, Crowley. I won’t have it.” Crowley’s hands flew to his chest. “Ouch. Ow-when have I ev-er?”

An unfortunate idea smacked into the window of Aziraphale’s mind. Crowley could nearly see it pancake there, feathers and all. His face filled with the idea, making him all lovely and pert. Crowley grimaced. He forgot to pose, and all his limbs (plus some) were already agreeing on a single direction. “Come with me,” Aziraphale said, pleased and hopeful. “No. No. No.” Crowley lurched out of his chair and made for the coat rack. “No way. Not for a lark. Not if you paid me.” A lightning fast shape, the color of Irish butter, darted in front of Crowley. A warm hand stopped him from throwing on his coat. “That’s just it, isn’t it? They’ll be paying us. Free lunch, Crowley.” Aziraphale straightened and gave his vest a little tug. Crowley’s nose wrinkled. Money. In a twist worthy of Hell, Aziraphale often paid for things with actual money because he was on a tight budget, miracle-wise. Crowley never paid for anything, unless being showy with money made someone else feel bad about themselves (Aziraphale excluded). It twinged him a bit, if he was honest, to think the angel might feel low on himself every time Crowley fired off miracles like his finger was a semiautomatic. “Fine. Fine.” He swung his coat over a shoulder, fell naturally into another classical pose, and mused at the skylight, “Been forty years since I ate a melon.” Aziraphale exhaled. “Oh, wonderful! It’ll be grand, I promise. Plenty of alcohol.” “Alright, stop hustling me, I’m coming. I’m going, actually. Oh, and I’ll have to meet you there,” Crowley said, stepping briskly through the shop doors.
