Content. All fluffy! Just slightly angsty in the end. Kinda suggestive? fem!reader, not spoiler free! JJK AU, established relationship, He’s love-strucked! Satoru being a cute boyfriend he is, he calls u baby tons, Satoru’s 20 and you’re 18!
W.C 1.6k
A/N. I’ve been gone for 2 months and this draft has been sitting here for like weeks by now, I was just lazy about decorating it….plus this is for ch.261:( I love u Satoru😞 IM SO SORRY IDK WHAT CAME OVER TO ME
On a cloudy, breezy day, you and Satoru arrive at a secluded beach, well he teleported you both there.
The soft pale cream sand warm under your feet. Satoru lays out a blanket, setting up a picnic under a parasol, with a bunch snacks that were mostly his sweets, but he also packed some cute bento lunches for you.
After arranging the mini picnic, Satoru leans back, pressing his hands into the sand behind him. He watches you slowly descend down the shore but you only stop at your ankle level, you were enjoying the view infront of you, the feeling of the wet sand on your feet. Turning slowly, you catch Satoru’s gaze, filled with love and admiration.
Your sundress flutters in the breeze, and he sees that beautiful smile he adores. Oh how could he be so lucky? You looked like an angel, truly the most beautiful girl he’s seen.
————————-⋆。𖦹 °.🐚⋆❀˖°—————————
Satoru stood up to make his way to you while unbuttoning his ¥178,861, white polo to reveal his heavenly sculpted abs. Your eyes couldn’t help but betray you as you check him out
“Like what you see love?” He grinned at you, his black-tinted glasses reflecting the horizon behind you
you look away and block his face with your hand“No. Not at all..” you scoff, Satoru’s hand finds its way to your waist, and tugs you forward as he leans down to your ear “Your flushed face tells me otherwise.”
He let out a small chuckle as you made a hmpf sound, “Well, I like what I see.” He shamelessly looked you up and down, the sundress hugged your figure perfectly, and he brought you that dress to make sure it did.
Your death glare made him snap out of his thoughts and quickly placed a kiss on your lips “Baby come on, let’s go for a swim before we start eating” He then suddenly carried you bridal-style which made you gasp “W-wait! I don't wanna get wet yet!” He ignored you as he made his way down the water then dropped you once the water reached above his knee, the hair you worked hours on before leaving the apartment, got wet from the suddenness of his action
“TORU MY HAIR!!!!” You screamed at him as you chased the grinning like-cat down, the water slowing your movement so you just started splashing him with water and he did the same to you but he splashed more water than you did, and that made you want to drown his stupid face. The beautiful horizon was disrupted by you and Satoru’s play-fight.
————————-⋆。𖦹 °.🐚⋆❀˖°—————————
“Baby look,” Satoru pointed at a bunny-like slug that was on the wet rocks “It looks like you” he mumbled as his finger gently stroked the little thing “How does it look like me? It’s a slug.” You grumbled, the wet drops of your bodies meeting the wet surface of the rock “Because you look like a bunny and act like a slug, cute but sluggish.”
“How am sluggish?? You’re the one who takes long to get ready because of how infatuated you are with your Nintendo.” You poked his right cheek “Ow!… well don’t act like you don’t take hours to get your hair done Baby!” He defended with a small pout.
————————-⋆。𖦹 °.🐚⋆❀˖°—————————
The two of you settled down to eat after Satoru collected shells to receive a ‘Good job’ kiss from you and made sand castles to compete with each other (You won as Satoru whined his loss)
“Babi, does the ocean have likee… brain-eating amoeba?” Satoru muffled with a mouth full of strawberry donuts, “No Toru. Don’t even wanna imagine that right now, and stop talking with your mouth full!” You scolded but that couldn’t stop the white-haired guy from his ill manners “It doesn’t? Then where are they usually found??” Satoru perked up in interest
“Well uhh—They can be found in lakes and rivers or still waters?” Your skin shivered from the thought of deep still-like waters
“REALLY??! oh god, I just recently went to a lake for a mission, and then I was levitating and accidentally fell into the water because of how sleepy I was!!! AM I GOING TO DIE, BABY??” Satoru’s worried-sad face made you chuckle a bit. You had forgotten that when Satoru gets tired and lacks focus, it can cause his infinity to turn off. You learned this about him when he told you how Toji took advantage of his vulnerable state by attacking your poor boyfriend at his blind spot.
“No Toru you wont!.. It's very unlikely to have a brain-eating amoeba. You'll be fine, Mr. Strongest." You rolled your eyes at his worried state. "Are you sure??? I can’t die without having to marry you yet!!" He whined and complained about the thought of dying without having 5,000 kids with you and his last name being yours.
"Satoru, calm down. You won’t die! And I’m sure you're able to have 5,000 kids with me soon, if I don’t die from giving birth to 5,000 babies, that is." You continued eating the sandwich that Satoru made. You couldn't help but notice that there were no bread crusts on the edges. Satoru really did take note of your dislike of bread crust on your first date, the attentive boyfriend he is. You loved him so much.
"HUH??? NO! Okay! Fine! How about 3 babies??" You let out a giggle. "Okay. Just 3 babies." He moved forward to close the distance between you two. "Promise you’ll soon be my wife and that we’ll have 3 kids together?" Satoru had a small pout on his face that made your heart melt. "Promise." You sighed internally, not expecting the mightiest sorcerer to go all love-struck on you.
"Give me a promise kiss then." You raised an eyebrow and took his glasses off before proceeding to plant a small, quick kiss on his lips. Satoru wasn't satisfied enough with it, so he held your waist and tugged you forward, causing your chest to fall against his. His lips quickly closed the distance, leading to a heated make-out session. His long, calloused fingers stroked your hair as he hummed into the kiss. His tongue invaded your mouth, and you could taste the strawberry donut he had just eaten.
As the sun began its descent, a soft, rosy glow enveloped the ocean, casting a warm hue upon the scene. The embrace satisfied your cold, wet bodies. Your devoted Satoru persisted in showering you with affectionate kisses.
————————-⋆。𖦹 °.🐚⋆❀˖°—————————
The bonfire crackled softly in the background, it’s light flickering against the semi-dark sky. Calm waves lapped gently against the shore, providing a tranquil backdrop to the night. As you gently stroked the back of Satoru’s hair, he lay sprawled across you, his face nestled against your chest, exuding a sense of peace and contentment.
“toru—…you perv.” he hummed in response, unable to process your words, so lost was he in the soothing rhythm of your touch.
“…hmm baby?” He slowly lifted his head to gaze up at you, the flickering bonfire casting a warm glow on his pale skin. “stop face planting on my chest.” you pouted at his lazy smile “s’what babyyy…” he lays his head head down again sideways “boobies so comfy like a pillow, or better than a pillow” he mumbled as he rested his eyes once again.
You flicked his forehead, causing him to let out a soft whine. He tightened his hold on you, burying his face deeper into your chest. You sighed, realizing that you could never prevent him from doing perverted things, but then you realized that the day was spent without his glasses most of the time, so you let him have the comfort.
There were moments when Satoru was like this, too exhausted to move, a painful migraine throbbing around his eye. You came to understand this about him after he began spending nights at your place, revealing his vulnerability in those quiet, intimate times.
The exhaustion came from his life as a sorcerer. Ever since his friends left him, even his bestfriend Geto, he had been facing these missions alone, and they were relentless. As Nanami had asserted that Gojo should alone take on these missions, being the strongest, to prevent others from dying due to his perceived selfishness.
You scoffed internally. Nanami and the others didn’t fail to remind Satoru of his responsibilities, and you couldn’t help but loathe them for it. It was already enough that he lost his childhood due to being the Strongest. You loved him even before knowing about his sorcery life, and you wanted to love him more, to give him what he couldn’t have. You just wanted to hold him close and tell him that everything was going to be okay.
The night sky glittered with stars, and a comforting silence enveloped the place. Satoru had passed out on you, and you chuckled at his slightly open mouth. There were also times his drool would get on your chest. The waves lapped gently against the shore, and the fire grew smaller by the soft breeze.
Satoru appreciated and loved you. You were both his best friend and his lover. He couldn't ask for more. You were everything he yearned for, an escape from his sorcery life through moments like this with you, his beautiful, loving girlfriend.
He often wished that times like these would last forever. He just hoped that someday, once someone surpassed him, he could retire. He dreamed of buying the modern Japanese house you always wanted, putting a ring on your finger, having tons of kids running around the house, and growing old with you.
Little did he know what his future held.

Too Sweet Tooth
Cassandra Vole x M/C, Cassandra Vole x Reader A03 Summary: Spooky season is here, you’re feeling a little unsettled by it all. What with all the dementors flying around. You need a little assistance in getting some sleep. A/n: Tooth rotting fluff (lol). Some spoilers for the Nightmare Before Halloween side quest. The main quest is lacking a little bit of Cass, also my M/C’s scar story is taking longer than I expected. *Shares are appreciated* 1k words Divider by: @saradika-graphics
Since it was nearing the end of October, the entire castle was decorated for Halloween festivities. Pumpkins floated all over, different music was playing, and themed sweets covered the tables. Fake bats hung from the ceiling, and the ceiling's color was darker than usual. An image of the moon projected above, and stars danced in the night sky.
“Look guys, the Great Hall is all decorated again!” Ivy looked at the decorations in awe.
“Look at all these sweets." Daniel took a closer look at the cupcake tower on the tables, "Looks like some students have already started decorating them.” He picked up a few plain cupcakes for decorating. The three of you sit down beside Lottie, Robyn, and Kevin.
Your gaze was instantly drawn to the chocolate. There was an overwhelming amount—oh no. For a moment, your expression twisted in disgust, feeling nauseated at the thought of it. Surely, you had enough to last a lifetime.
Ivy grabs a few sweets, handing a few to you before placing the others in her bag. You wave your hand dismissively, “No more sweets, I can’t stand the taste right now. My drawers are filed with them."
“I’m excited to see what everyone will be dressing up as this year?” Lottie said beside you, looking up from her sketchbook. Having been spooked enough these past few weeks, you decided to wear something simple like an animal onesie. Maybe you could tempt Cass into matching-
“Check you those guys over there, think they’re all tough walkin around dressed up like dementors.” Robyn exclaimed, pointing over her shoulder to a couple Gryffindoor upperclassman a few tables away.
“There are always those few who will ruin it all. I’m sure some houses will be throwing parties now that quidditch season is picking up.” Kevin sighed, knowing if your house was going to throw a party no one would be getting any sleep that night.
“C’mon Kev have some fun.”
“Speaking of fun, what is everyone dressing up as this year?” You knew Lottie was working hard on her costume. Spending countless hours at Diageon Aly and Hogsmeade to find materials.
“Winifred and I are going as…”
Your attention lingers on the students dressed as Dementors; there’s something unsettling about their costumes. Shortly after Cassandra entered the room. Followed by the Frey twins clad in torn dark robes, probably to frighten the younger students. Ever since the dementor attacks, you realize, it’s been a while since Cassandra last directed her snarky remarks at your group. This was a relief, as meeting her in the library or the Room of Requirement would ease the tension.
~~
Hogsmeade, weren’t you just… Since when was the town so empty. Even with the attacks usually at least one other person is roaming the streets. As you visited each store, you were greeted by layers of dust, cobbles, and trash. You knew the shopowners very well and they would have never left the stores in such a messy condition.
When walked back outside to the end of the street something in the distance caught your eye. Why was there a giant chocolate frog on the edge of the town?! Just looking at it made you feel a little sick in the stomach.
You weren't going crazy. It seems like they were following you, another chocolate frog appeared on the other side of the town. So menacing especially since the town was so empty. When did a dementor get here?!
Ok so it was just a dream, luckily Daniel and Ivy were able to join you in the town to prove what you experienced was all a dream. Out of nowhere, this heavy fog emerged, separating the three of you. There was a familiar temperature drop in the air. Wait, is that Ivy in the distance? Another dementor!
~~
You immediately open, confused by what just happened. Apparently now chocolate is haunting your dreams. So much for the dementors scarring you, now you’re dreaming about chocolate. Maybe you should start handing it out to others or send it to Honeydukes due to the shortages.
You’re pulled from your thoughts, Cassandra stirring slightly above you. You were seated on a couch in the room of requirement, a blanket wrapped around the two of you, and the fireplace lit across from you. Ever since the dementor attack, your body has felt colder than usual, which makes sense considering a part of your soul was taken.
Before you fell asleep, you remembered Cassandra leaning against you as she drifted off. Not long after, you started to feel tired, so you adjusted your position to lie flat on the couch. You were certainly warm now, a little too warm. With the chilly weather, you switched to warmer pajamas, but now, with the added fire, blanket, and an extra person, you were starting to feel cramped. You couldn't bring yourself to wake her, knowing how hard she had been studying for the upcoming tests. Practicing the patronus charm took a lot of energy out of the user.
Luckily your wand was on the table, reaching out as slowly as possible so as not to disturb her you cast aguamenti to dim the flames. Not realizing you could simply ask the room to dim the fire, a bunch of hissing can be heard from the water evaporating. Your eyes widen, afraid you have just woken her up.
“Are you incapable of being still for more than a few minutes.” Cassandra groaned, and instead of lifting her head, she simply turned it to rest on your chest. She shifted her arms to wrap around your sides.
“I’m sorry Cass.” You apologized, placing your wand back onto the table and moving it to her back. Instinctively, you began tapping your index finger, only realizing it when she let out a sigh.
“What was it you were dreaming about?”
You hesitated for a moment. “Dementors.”
She caught the hesitation in your voice, “And?”
“There ware chocolate frogs all over the town. A giant one that looked so menacing.”
“Chocolate frogs?” It sounded absurd, but she didn’t say it in a teasing tone. Instead, she nuzzled closer to you.“Go back to sleep, it’s clear you’re losing your mind.”
Why couldn’t you just dream about something other than chocolate or dementors? As if you aren’t constantly thinking about them. It would be nice if you could have a normal year where things wouldn’t get too crazy, similar to Harry and his friends never catching a break.
“We should probably go back to the dorms before someone walks in.” As much as you didn’t want to move, the two of you weren’t the only ones who use the room. You knew almost everyone who roamed the halls after hours, especially curious foreign students.
Instead of a response you’re met with sounds of soft breathing. She resembles a cat which was a little funny having the reputation of being the Slytherin Princess and all. Looks like the two of you were going to stay here a bit longer, maybe you’ll finally be able to get some sleep.
~~
The next day you two were studying together in the Library, sitting side by side.
“So Cass, what are you dressing up as this year?” You face her, propping your chin on your hand.
She doesn’t bother looking up form her book. “Nothing, why would I?”
“I was thinking, what if we-” You were cut off by a flick to the forehead.
“No. Focus or you won’t pass the next exam.”
Before you shift your focus back to the books, you catch a small smile on Cassandra’s face before it disappears.

Oh, boy do I got a dumb Zelda theory that I will not be translating into any other language because this will be long as heck...🙃
And I do mean long, so buckle up and get ready. Because the theory goes as follows: what if the Zonai and Minish are somehow connected?
I know I'm grasping at the stupidest straws and I actually thought about it while falling asleep last night, I've only got one open eye this morning while writing this, so these are really rambles of a madwoman!🤣 Still, I think this needs to be discussed. I think there might be, in the smallest of chances, a connection.
Let's start with the obvious, physical traits. There's not much, I know. We only have the extremely large ears and snout. That's about it, really. Minish have lighter skin, and seem to have a feathery tail coming from behind. On the other hand, Zonai have a grayish-greenish skin, overall white hair, and don't have tails. The biggest and most obvious difference is size, with the Minish being small and the Zonai, well, do I really need to explain that? The Zonai are even much taller than Hylians in comparison.
Though it seems they can have a lot hair, both, if we compare Rauru and Ezlo in his Minish form. Who knows if Zonai can grow beards too?
Also, the Minish came from the sky, much like the Zonai did. Coincidence?!
But wait! There's more. Let's talk about designs.
Can you see it? The eye. That effing eye! Took one look at that shield, and all I could think was the Four Sword Sanctuary. Now, granted, that's in FS and FSA, but those stories are connected to MC. I saw the Elemental Sanctuary, and while there's no eye, it's safe to say that maybe there's a connection to the sanctuaries, housing the Four Sword and elements. And the Ranger Constructs seem to have an akin eye to the shield and sanctuary, even hanging at the side of their faces. It's so similar, that I can't help but think there might be a connection. (Low-key, I actually thought the Ranger Constructs would be a new version of the Eyegore.)
Still on the eye-theme, the Zonai themselves have a third eye. You know two other people who seem to have a connection to a third eye? Hmm, yeah, Vaati and Astor.
Now, Astor is from AoC, so I'm not too worried on him, but he's eerily similar to Vaati, to the point I actually believed he was an incarnation of him back before AoC came out. And why not? Similar dark clothes, gold accents, red highlights in magic, the circlet with red jewel, gray skin, maniac tendencies, need I say more? But Vaati used to once be a Minish, remember? He turned human with his newfound powers through the magical cap Ezlo made prior to the MC events. The Minish are creatures of magic and desire good. Zonai too. If we analyze at a slightly scientific and magical perspective, maybe the Minish might have evolved into a large and superior advanced race, even going as far as abandoning there small stature and simplistic lifestyle. Similarly to our smart Sheikahs from BoTW/AoC/ToTK and 10,000 years prior.
Eye these other shots! (See what I did there? No, okay, I'll shut up.😏)
Dark Hyrule Castle in MC? Filled with eye-related puzzles. Zonaite armor? Eye on the freaking helmet! Mazaal, boss for the Fortress of Winds in MC? Eyes on his hands, literally! Plus, who's to say that Mazaal isn't some super ancient prototype of a Construct? Look at the shape of the head and Zonaite helmet! (WHAT IF THE SHEIKAH TOOK INSPIRATION TO CREATE GOHDAN FOR THE TOWER OF THE GODS IN WW?! Theory for another day.)
Now, finally giving a shut-eye to that topic (I'm sorry, I couldn't help myself,) let's talk about Constructs. Asides from Mazaal above, you know what device is super similar between Minish and Zonai?
A classic Zelda staple seems way too similar for this particular theory. Sure, the Remote Bomb is gray, but the aspect between the Remote and Time Bomb are way too similar. Even the 'fuse' is pretty much the exact same look and color! On top of that, its usage is exactly the same. It's a small stupid piece of circumstantial evidence, but I'm going with it.
Now, finally, for my last bit. TotK brought some new flora into the game, fitting naturally. But there's one that's unique and stands out, and surprisingly shares a part of its name with a plant that makes an appearance in MC. Can you guess?
Aren't they pretty? The shape and look of the Brightbloom and Pico Bloom, respectively, are identical. When the bud is close, its shape is similar as well. When the bud is open, it provides lighting in its general area. Pico Blooms, in particular, offer different lights, asides from the above yellow, including, yes, white. Pico Blooms lights glow very obviously while the Brightbloom's glow is steady and unwavering. While it's hard to guess if Pico Blooms are able to provide as much light as a Brightbloom in the darkness, maybe the Depths, the similarities are impossible to ignore. Even the way the leaves at the bottom of the stem are similar. Brightblooms don't make an appearance in BotW, much like the Pico Blooms do not exist, or at least, not seen, in any other Zelda game. And while Pico Blooms serve more as a side quest appearance, they still form a part of the Minish's general flora. Brightblooms appeared right after the Upheaval, a crucial item to explore the Depths. And they seem to have a strong connection with the Zonai, as they are seen as a part of the Ranger Constructs decoration, as well as within the shrines, and even in the mines and other architectural locations found in the Depths.
The entire Miner's freaking Set is an entire copy to the Brightbloom!
Welp, that's my tea and essay for today, y'all. I think I'm still kind of asleep, despite everything I wrote and all the above images. Am I crazy and seeing too much into it? Probably am, but it seems there's a connection. Maybe the Minish evolved into the Zonai, much like the Zora evolved into the Rito. Maybe the Minish, while trying magic, backfired into the Zonai? Or maybe they're just completely separate from each other. The possibilities are endless. At the end of the day, that's what makes the games so great, and makes me just another sleepy Zelda theorist.
See later ya later guys! Back to bed!🤣

part 4 of my Wof x Persona au
Chapter 4:Rising Waves
Clay awoke from his dream, though, he was much more sure it was real than before, realizing now it’s connected to the castle, and are related to his persona. Though he had a million and one questions, Clay knew he needed to most importantly focus on one thing, that damned school.
He prepared to leave the cavern, and saw Kestrel wasn’t around this time, likely still resting at wherever it is she sleeps…that or she died, admittedly, the former was more realistic. Clay then exited the cavern, making sure to flip the sign to Open, and headed off, enjoying the rain as it landed and slipped off of his scales, he wondered if Rainwings liked rain even more, though, from what he remembered, it actually stood for Rainforest, so maybe they didn’t like rain.
As he flew, Clay also decided to listen in on a conversation between two seawings, talking about the recent crash flight, which Clay found boring for the most part, though a part that slightly freaked him out was that these had been so common that they could be small talk, in fact, this crash might’ve not even been the same one he and Kestrel had seen!
He tried to pay less mind on it, and simply soared back down with some other students, one that caught multiple peoples eyes was a pale orange, almost yellow colored skywing, whose scales were similar to the inside of a sweet peach, with a blank but innocent stare to herself, almost like she didn’t have a single thought in her head. Part of what interest Clay about her though was a small pouch around her neck, wrapped by a gold chain around her neck that looked like it was practically glued to her with how tight it was on her long neck.
“Isn’t that her?” whispered a student, bad enough for Clay to eavesdrop but seemed to be good enough for the skywing to not notice.
“The one with the nosering and brown pouch?”
“Yeah, her. Ugh, she’s so thin, it’s not fair!”
“I don’t know, I think thicker is-“ It was at that moment Clay decided to tune them back out and simply continue back on his walk down towards the school, accidentally bumping into the skywing as he did.
“O-oh! apologies I didn’t mean to bother you sir! I’ll slow down so you can get more up ahead if you’d like! I don’t want any trouble, really!”
“Woah woah woah, hey, it’s fine, I just accidentally bumped into you, you don’t have to change your pace up, just keep it how you’re going! Besides, it’d be my fault if anything!” Clay reassured her quickly, slightly weirded out at the skywings skittishness, since he had heard they were mostly prideful and confident.
“guess ya shouldn’t believe l stereotypes, hm…guess I’m not much different…” Clay thought to himself, feeling kind of like a jerk for his mental assumptions
“Oh, you look sad, I’m sorry! really, um, I should be going fast now! You go to the same school, right? I’m a second year myself. Okay BYE!” The skywing then ran off, as Clay wondered if he scared her that badly to where she’d decide to run away.
“Ugh, I’m terrible at this! I wouldn’t be shocked if she heard the rumors about me to…probably thinks I’m some psychopath…just push it down Clay, just push it down, and get to school…”
**
Clay entered his first class of the day, which seemed to be taught by a man named Webs, who was teaching general pyrrhian history. Clay had a feeling he would start by teaching about The Scorching and so decided to stare outside of the classroom and look around at the view.
He saw large growing tree in the distance behind some of the schools trails, nicely made caves that could fit a surprising amount of dragonets inside, a near pitch black Nightwing that seemed to be staring directly at him while perched on the side of a cave, a river that led into the ocean and seemed to be the Seawings main traveling point, a nice cloudy sky, and the now processed fact that a Nightwing was stalking him.
Clay tried to look around for his little Nightwing stalker again, trying to make them out, but they completely blended in, like a bark of wood in a pile of mud. Even so, Clay kept trying to focus, a little more and more, until finally he thought he found someone-
“HEY MUDWING, ARE YOU EVEN LISTENING?!” Webs yelled, as he then tossed the chalk he was using at Clay, who without even looking caught it midair, but had now had his concentration completely disrupted in the process.
“Here’s your chalk Sir, sorry for not paying attention.” Clay told the baffled Webs as he handed him his chalk before walking back to where he was sitting.
“Y-yeah, you better be…” Webs said in a failed attempt to reassert dominance, as multiple dragonets could now be heard snickering at Webs’ humiliation, assuming they weren’t in awe at Clays casualness in catching the chalk.
“Best case scenario, I was seeing things. Worst case scenario, that teachers now the death of me.” Clay thought to himself, before focusing himself on Webs’ history lesson.
**
“Have you heard about that Skywing girl?”
“Didn’t she get hand chosen by Queen Scarlet herself? She must be really special, I wonder what for though?”
“I heard people saw her get harassed by that criminal! poor gal, having to deal with pieces of crap like him.”
“Assault, Blackmail, Drugs, I bet he’s done it all!”
“I hear he’s ready to bite people if you just look at him funny…”
**
Classes were over for the day, and Clay decided to use his time looking for that Nightwing he saw before. He was to vivid for him to be fake, but Clay could tell they didn’t wanna be found so easily.
“Are they a stalker? An assassin? Someone who has a hard time talking with people and stares at them instead? Okay probably not that last one, or at least unrelated to that if they did have that problem? I wonder if I’m like that, I mean, I mainly just talked with my sibs and aunt so maybe my social skills aren’t as good as I expect. Wait, I’m getting off topic here! Focus on finding the Nightwing, and don’t let any Seawing distract you-”
“Yo!” Tsunami rushed over, making Clay jump for a moment in shock
“Jeez! ya trying to ambush me or something?!” Clay said, completely losing his train of thought
“Oh come on dude it wasn’t that big a deal! ugh, look, I wanna talk about that castle from yesterday alright?” Tsunami explained, as her and Clay began to walk away from the school for a moment and stand on the outskirts with some rocks in the forest for them to sit on an talk
“I mean, I tried telling myself it was all some weird shared dream… But I couldn’t do it. I can’t act like nothing happened! It’s all connected to that smug bastard Whirlpool after all! I wanna find out more about that place, no matter what… and well…you’re the only person I can rely on for this. So, you in?” Tsunami asked him, and Clay felt something inside himself warm up hearing how she truly does trust him…it was nice, he didn’t know how to put it into proper words, but he did know his answer to her request
“Let’s do this!” Clay affirmed with passion, holding his tail as Tsunami intertwined it with her own
“Sweet! glad we’re in this together man! I think our best course of action right now is to retrace our steps from before. In the meantime, you’re flying home right? should we go our separate ways in the investigation?”
“No no, if ya want we can walk together instead!” Clay told her, as Tsunami suddenly beamed with a smile
“Sweet! keep an eye out for any strange buildings while we walk!”
“Tsunami seems like a pretty decent gal. I don’t see anything wrong in going along with this, even if we don’t end up finding the place, having someone to talk with just feels nice anyway!” Clay thought to himself, as he and Tsunami began their walk around to investigate
**
“Let’s see, if a castle like that really exists, we should find it in no time… When they’d even find time to build that big thing though?” Tsunami wondered aloud, as she and Clay kept looking around
“We walked that way from here, right?”
“Yeah! That’s when ya got up in my face and began your rant to me on Whirlpool and stuff.”
“Good to know! Ha! I did get in your face didn’t I? I think I saw the color of your eyes at the time. Brown, right?”
“Yeah, yours are translucent green.” Clay told her, which Tsunami was surprised at, since she didn’t think someone would just know a persons eye color shade off the top of their head.
“Ha! neat! Well, lemme know if you notice something!” Tsunami told him, as the two walked through, and saw…the school
“Huh?”
“We’re at school???” Clay questioned, as surprised as Tsunami was at what they weren’t seeing.
“There wasn’t anything out of place along the way, right? I didn’t see a castle either…Did we make a wrong turn?”
“I feel like we’d have noticed it along the way right? It’s weird…”
“Let’s just keep looking around! we’ll find something, for sure!” Tsunami stated confidently, as the two retraced their step, and ended up eight back at the school
“For real?!” The duo said simultaneously
“What the hell’s going on…hey, you had a book on you right? back then at least.” Tsunami asked, and a lightbult went off in Clays head.
“Oh, yeah! Maybe it can get us to that place!”
“Yeah! mind if I look at it?” Tsunami asked, as Clay got it out of his bag and handed Tsunami the little book, as she snatched it and began taking a look at it.
“What’s this eyeball-looking thing anyhow?”
“I think it’s a cute logo honestly, can’t seem to get rid of it though.”
“I think it looks creepy- wait really? man, what a weird book, if not for current situations I’d tell ya to get an exorcist, now let’s see here…BOOYAH! written in right here! nice hindsight Clay!”
“…hehe, yeah.” Clay said, knowing completely well he didn’t write that in, but not wanting to freak her out.
“Ah man, we’re geniuses! Let’s do this!”
“Do you know how to?”
“Not at all, but I think I can do this! maybe I just gotta push down and!…” as Tsunami pushed down, the Book began to react
“Beginning navigation. Whirlpool… Academy… Abuser… Castle… Beginning Navigation.”
“Alright! and then we go a certain direction and-” before Tsunami could finish her sentence, the area suddenly began to shift around them both
“What the hell???” Tsunami said out loud, as Clay and her kept next to each other as the book floated into the air, and reality distorted around them, with the schools grounds rising to massive heights in the shapes of a castle, until Tsunami and Clay suddenly stood on top of a drawbridge
“It’s the castle from yesterday! We made it back after all!” Tsunami said as she and Clay rushed through the bridge and the to the front of the castle, looking in the sky as they saw dozens of puppets like dragons guarding the higher parts of the castle to prevent anyone from just flying in.
“So, seems what happened yesterday was for real after all- WOAH, YOU GOT THOSE CLOTHES ON AGAIN!” Tsunami pointed out, as Clay realized he was in his nearly all black attire from when he used his Persona. “That happened last time too, huh!? What’s with that outfit?!?”
“I have no idea! It’s pretty cool though!…you jelly?”
“HELL YEAH I AM, why can’t I get a cool suit too?! Man even without that this makes no sense at all!” Tsunami yelled out, as the two then saw a pair of familiar green and golden eyes that revealed itself as Turtle, still in his attire from before and slightly strange form.
“Hey, can you quit the commotion you’re making? !”
“What the, you? what are you still doing here?”
“Shadows started acting a little different, as though something had changed for them, so I came back to investigate. What are YOU two doing here? you barely managed to escape last time!”
“as I recall, you didn’t do much better, no?…Ya mind explaining what this place even is? Is it the school?” Clay asked, and Turtle nodded his head
“Correct! It takes the form of a castle in this place, hence why it looks like this and not like the school. Basically, it looks like a castle to its ruler!” Turtle detailed
“Its ruler?” Tsunami questioned
“If I remember right, his names Whirlpool, correct? This is how his distorted heart views the school.” Turtle stated
“Whirlpools distorted desire?…Ugh! can’t you just explain it better! I’m so lost!” Tsunami demanded, as Turtle sighed
“I shouldn’t have expected a moron to get it anyway.” Turtle said, rolling his eyes, as Tsunami then began to march at him
“What did you just say you little weirdo?!” Tsunami said through gritted teeth, until they all suddenly heard pained cries from inside the castle
“What was that!” Clay demanded, wanting to help whoever that was as fast as possible
“It must be the slaves that are held captive here.” Turtle answered, simply opening up even MORE questions of what was happening.
“For real?!” Tsunami asked, as she suddenly heard even more pained cries, “SHIT, it’s for real! Damn it, I saw some people held captive here yesterday… probably some of Whirlpools students…” Tsunami mentioned
“It must be a representation of how he treats his students in real life, bruising and abusing them to massive means without a care of their wellbeing.” Turtle added on, as Clay remembered Anemone from the day before, and how hurt she looked
“Damn it…was that what was happening to her?! I knew Whirlpool was awful but…damn it, she barely even looked two years old!” Clay thought to himself, wishing he could do more for her, that maybe he could do something about her “teacher” especially if Coral was going to just ENCOURAGE it instead of stop what was happening to her own daughter…
“What’s more, because of your guys escape yesterday, he must have lost his temper, and is taking it out on his prisoners in here.”
“THAT SON OF A BITCH!” Tsunami yelled, as she swung her tail against the castles large door, shaking it in as she did it, “YOU HEAR THAT WHIRLPOOL? THATS GONNA BE YOUR FACE WHEN I GET MY HANDS ON YOU.” Tsunami yelled as she continued to bash on the door, Clay was honestly tempted to join her
“Doing that isn’t gonna open it, but…I can see you have your reasons, so I won’t budge you on it.” Turtle said, as Tsunami calmed down
“Hey, Turty.”
“Turtle.”
“Do you know where those voices are coming from?” Tsunami asked, and Clay showed interest in it as well
“You want me to take you there?…Well, I don’t see why not, though, only if he comes with us!” Turtle said, looking at Clay
“Let’s go.” Clay said without any hesitation, wanting to help these people as fast as possible.
“For real?… thanks man! I knew I could count on you…” Tsunami said, as she and Clay shared a smile
“Alright, let’s do this! follow me!” Turtle said as he walked over to a small familiar opening on the side to the castles door.
“This, is our infiltration point!” Turtle explained
“Ain’t that where we busted out from last time?” Questioned Tsunami.
“That’s right. Not barging in through the entrance is one of the basics of phantom thievery!”
“How exactly were we supposed to know that?!” Tsunami questioned, as Clay nodded in agreement
“I’ll teach ya the ropes as we go. Come on now, follow me!” Turtle told them as he jumped to surprising heights, as Clay and Tsunami were left alone to talk to one another.
“So, uh… sorry for draggin’ you into all of this, you really don’t deserve to be wrapped in my shit…But, UGH! I just can’t forgive that bastard for doing whatever the hell he wants! And I hate that my mom just lets it happen because he kisses her ass, they’re both the worst!…Really, though, thank you for comin’ along, I owe you big time man!” Tsunami told him, as Clay smiled back at her
“Hey, I wouldn’t have it any other way! If I gotta fight 50 castles worth of your problems, I’d still help you out, what else are friends for?…so…do you want to hold onto me while I make that jump?” Clay asked, as Tsunami snorted for a moment, before answering
“That would be appreciated, yeah.” Tsunami said as she went onto and held onto Clays back, and he jumped through into the castle, keeping himself steady to keep pressure off Tsunamis wing.
“Man, this place is almost as creepy as last time…” Tsunami stated as she hopped off of Clays back.
“Mm-hm, just make sure to do as I say, all right?”
“Gotcha!” Clay and Tsunami stated simultaneously as they followed behind Turtle into the Castle.

Fylass In Wonderland - Epilogue - To Be Continued
Everything was a blur, reflectionless glass was everywhere, floating on the bizarre emptiness that became Wonderland, and the now shattered inhabitants of the area were around, in the void of silence; the cacophony was not there anymore, since it was released from the depths of beyond whatever that could be considered reality, or a shattered delusion; who is to tell? Clearly not the blank reflections that the inhabitants became now.
Although… are they reforming again?
The reflectionless shards of glass that were the reality of this fragile world started to be reformed back into the environment; it was slow, but the area was back into being the familiar Wonderland everyone knew, although it didn’t have color; it didn’t last though, as the black and red patterns of the Card Castle started to color in the royal building again.
The land was next, as more and more glass floating on the blackened void started to join again, and the trees, flowers, houses, and more of the land, started to be colored again with those bright, pretty colors that made the land, well, a wonder; the hole near The Diamond’s Domains, was surprisingly sealed, and so, there were no dangers related to it again, and the sky became blue with clouds.
The shattered reflections on the floor that were once people started to be formed yet again, and those also took their form back into being the inhabitants, and their eyes opened again when the reflectionless figure of glass started to be colored again, at the point where the glass felt like flesh, and skin, once again.
"Hnng…" A person groaned on the cold ground of the Card Castle, and it was Pleiades, as they got up from the floor in a sloppy manner, as his head was ringing lightly due to all the ruckus beforehand, although he didn’t care about that when he saw everyone on the floor, seemingly passed out.
"...What the hell happened?" He tried to piece everything together, but it was all such a blur; maybe a rest could work, but before he could piece something on his mind, he looked back, and saw his companion, his sister Blossom, right there, back to being a person again; not shards of glass.
"BLOSSOM!" That yell he made was enough for the whole group to wake up, and so did Blossom, confused as to whatever happened; she had her thoughts all over the place, as if she woke up from a fever dream, and when she tried to get up, Ades hugged her with tears on his eyes.
"OH, BLOSSOM! I AM SO GLAD YOU’RE OKAY! I SWEAR, I WON’T LET THAT HAPPEN AGAIN!"
Blossom was confused, and Ades could see that, even when she was literally unable to make a sound; she seemed to not know what happened, and to be fair, it was better that way.
Ades turned around to help the rest, only to see Dero right there, silent, trying to wake the group up; it was a struggle, yes, but sure enough, some started to wake up, all of them in varying levels of confusion.
"...Dero…"
"...I doth not know what happened, but we need to help these poor individuals to get up. We can discuss this later." Dero said, even though he seemed too tired to get them up, he still did out of compromise. Ades helped him as well, and soon enough, everyone was well and dandy, again.
"Eurgh…" That was only one of the responses of the group, although the rest of the responses weren’t that different; looking at the surroundings of the now quiet Card Castle, two of the individuals yelled in concern.
"QUEEN!" Ava yelled.
"WISP!" Selene yelled.
Ava and Wisp were concerned about the wellbeing of the ones they called out, and so, they went towards both Wisp and Somnia, which were still processing what just happened to them.
"OH WISP! I AM SO GLAD YOU ARE OKAY! I AM SO SORRY FOR STOPPING BEING YOUR FRIEND, PLEASE FORGIVE ME!" Selene said with immense regret in her voice, although Wisp didn’t respond; was he angry with her, maybe? "...W-Wisp?" Selene, with closer inspection, realized that Wisp was unable to speak again, and Wisp realized it too, having a sad face; all of the things he has done to get their voice to get closer to his best friend, only to end without a voice again.
"...Wisp… It’s okay! You are… still my great friend! I can promise you that!" Selene said, hugging Wisp further as the other cats followed her.
"...Er, you okay Selene? You aren’t this emotional from time to time." Casey said with sarcastic confusion; it seemingly was lighthearted though. "Not the time to be this snarky, man." Artemeta followed, talking to Casey.
In the case of Somnia though, she was silent, as she realized that she had different clothing, resembling one of a normal villager of her kingdom. "...W-What?! What happened to me?!" Somnia said with a nervous voice. "AVA! GIVE ME MY ROYAL CLOTHES ON THIS INSTANT!"
Ava seemed shocked, but not for the clothing though; Somnia wasn’t the Heart Bearer anymore, for her gem was gone, and her heart pupils did the same; she was just a normal person. Ava changed from a shocked face to an expressionless one as she looked into one specific point.
"...I fear that a new Queen is on the rise." Ava pointed towards the point they were looking at, and Somnia did as such, to see what they were referring to; what both saw was shocking.
It was Dolly; she had a different outfit, resembling a princess, with nothing but red and pink as colors for the dress, with a crown on her head, a magic wand as a weapon on her side, and most importantly, she had a brooch on her chest that had a peculiar looking gem with the shape of a heart.
"...No… Impossible!" Somnia claimed; her kingdom was not hers anymore, it seemed. Fylass’ mind surely was fast enough to give to their best friend, the right to be The Queen of their fictional world. Reasons? Who knows?
"Wowie… Dolly has a new dress! Who was the one? She must give them candy!" Upon she said those words, candy appeared out of nowhere from just moving the wand to a random direction. "And someone ALSO gave her a wand that can manifest sweets?! She needs to find this person and gift them with these for eternity!" Dolly was ecstatic; sure, she didn’t know what just happened, but she got distracted easily.
All the knights came towards her, and bowed in respect for the new Queen.
"...Greetings, Queen Dolly. We may aid you in whatever you need." Ava said. The other knights were silent, but they all seemed happy with this new change of Queen, especially Dero, for some reason. She seemed to be similar to one that Dero held dearly in his heart.
"Wait, Dolly is the Queen now?!" She was surprised, like the rest, but she was also very happy to be in this position of power, even though she obviously had no idea on what to do. "Dolly swears to be the best Queen everyone has ever had!"
"No, you won't!" Somnia was walking towards her, but Dolly was quick to act.
"Guards! Get this meanie out of the Castle, pretty please!"
"At your service." Ava said, as she commanded Twilight Knight and Verin to get Somnia out of the castle with ease, and they did as such.
"RELEASE ME ON THIS INSTANT!" She demanded, but both knights ignored her the best they could, and went towards the main entrance to get her out. Dolly was enjoying her time as new Queen, but she made a promise that she would be better than most of the previous kings and queens that ruled long before Somnia did.
Wisp was sad, not for the Queen leaving, in that case he would feel relieved, but for the fact that their voice was gone. "Oh, White Rabbit! You lost your voice?" Dolly said, as Wisp nodded his head in sadness. ''She can’t let that happen to her new royal servant! She’ll find a way to give you back your voice!" As Dolly said those words, a contract was released out of the wand. "...Oh. Well, since Dolly is the Queen, if you sign this contract, you’ll get your voice back, with the exchange of… doing whatever you want!" In a normal world, that logic would be laughable at best, but this is Wonderland at the end of the day.
Wisp was ecstatic when he heard those words, and quickly got a pen out of his pockets, and signed the contract. It shined, and soon enough, it disappeared into thin air.
"...Did it work-" Wisp said, as he found out his voice was back. "I CAN SPEAK AGAIN! AND I DON’T HAVE TO BE THAT BUSY AGAIN?! IT’S A MIRACLE!" The Dark Matter was happy, and Selene was too, hugging her friend she once lost.
"...Dolly is so happy to see another happy face! Does anyone have more troubles? Do not fret, for Queen Dolly is out to aid you!" She was really enjoying this job, and looked around the main hall to see if someone else was feeling down. Everything seemed fine, with lots of happy faces around, until she saw Lucid on the corner, seemingly holding something.
"Eh? Are you feeling good and dandy, friend?" She said to Lucid but he didn’t respond. She was starting to get worried, so she walked towards Lucid to see what was going on. The face of concern of Dolly was slowly starting to get worse, as she realized what Lucid was holding. It was Fylass’ hat.
"Wait! Best friend?! Where are they?!" She looked around to see where Fylass was, but she didn’t find them. "Sir! How did you get that hat?!" Lucid, upon hearing that, started to speak in a grieving tone.
"I-I saw the kid… They fell into the void. I tried to save them, but I was already on the floor, shattered into pieces, and as my vision turned white, I could see them falling to their possible demise. I doubt that kid would be able to survive in there if there was a floor."
Dolly was shocked, and right after that, devastated. She started to tear up, and then sob.
"...I apologize too, for not being able to save them either… I couldn’t move, and I saw them falling there too." Pleiades said.
"...I also was a witness, and I can’t feel anything but regret for that scene…" Dero said.
Chaos, Kurabe, and Fettuccine came towards Lucid.
"...I… Well, it’s… okay… We understand how you feel. When I lost the chance to be with Mikuto again, I started to feel the same feelings as you, I am sure."
"...Yeah… Same with Mety, although me and Kurabe got them back… I feel so sorry…"
"..." Chaos didn’t know what to say, but he needed to say something for this now to be awkward or even more heartbreaking than it could be at the moment.
"...We have to move on… That kid will always be remembered, wherever he is…"
Everyone at the scene started to feel an incredible sadness, but even then, it was no use to stay here doing nothing. They had to go home… Dero spoke up. "As much as I hate saying this, we need to get to our homes. We need rest for all the misfortunes that happened at the scene."
Everyone silently agreed, as they used the main entrance to go to their homes, and soon enough, the doors were closed.
"...Dolly will be the best Queen Wonderland has ever had, for you, best friend…" Dolly said. "She’ll make you proud!"
The path was melancholic; even with the blue sky above them, the path couldn’t be more gloomy and regretful; although, now, something was different, and everyone in the group noticed immediately.
"...What?" The Circus of Infinity had disappeared completely, and so did Dull Glass, and a straight path leading to the Hatter’s Domains was in place instead.
"...How is this even possible? Soliera would feel really sad when seeing this." Genesis said.
"...Wait, now that I think about it… Where’s Soliera?!" Damian said.
"...That’s right… Where the hell is she? Did she disappear as well?" Pleiades said afterwards; it was as if Soliera and the Circus never existed. That circus of infinite denial wasn’t there anymore.
"...I guess another one bites the shattered dust." Fela said as they were quickly hit strongly on the back by Mikuto and the Cats. Fela didn’t even bother to be angry at the situation. Everyone was silent; they didn’t know what else to do, or say, but they were sure to keep her in her memory as well, ignoring completely that Singularity had also disappeared.
They kept on going with the path, and so, they reached the Hatter’s House, and the tea party, although the table was missing; Celesta was missing, although it was sure that she was just sleeping somewhere deep into the woods. The now hollow tea party had only the chairs remaining, leaving only the masks, and armors of the four knights the regulars used to get out of that curse.
"I guess Celesta had free dinner…" Lucid said, as they got to the house.
"...Well, this is our departure, we are going home. We need some rest after what happened." Pleiades said.
"...Understandable. Hope you have a nice day." Kurabe said, and then, everyone said their departure to each other. Lucid had only just noticed that Fetty was holding hands with a blueberry colored Astral with bunny ears. The one stuck in the mirror.
"...So Genesis did burn all the contracts…" Lucid said, and with that, he only just noticed that he had nowhere to go.
"...I assume you don’t have a home?" Chaos said.
"...I-I do, but… I can’t get to it."
"You are from Underland, yes?"
"...Well, yes, I am from there…"
"...It’s a shame, the entrance that connected both kingdoms was quickly sealed as sightings of the "Jabberwocky" were starting to become more recent." Chaos said, and such, Lucid felt a sense of dread when hearing that word, and Chaos noticed.
"...You can stay at my house if it’s of your liking; we can discuss… things more clearly then."
Lucid silently nodded, and so, Chaos opened the door to his house.
The inside was just as before, but it seemed brighter for some reason; dust was everywhere, and the crack on the door Chaos made with his weapon was still there, but it was nothing too bad.
"Here, sit down." Chaos said to Lucid as he pointed towards the dusty couch. Both sat down, and like if it was clockwork, the dusty clock of the house started ticking, giving out an odd atmosphere that Lucid didn’t like at all.
"...So… Before we discuss whatever things you might want to talk about, could we talk about that tapestry for a moment?" Chaos said.
"...I guess we can."
"...Look, if I am being completely honest with you… I don’t even remember how I was born, or even if I had a childhood. I just appeared in the middle of nowhere, and people suddenly told me I was the symbol bearer of the spade. I was told I could be royalty, and they told me that I should go visit the Queen of Hearts to meet her."
"...I assume that didn’t go well…"
"I got a job as her hatter; I didn’t like the job per se, but at least I got some perks here and there that made things easier for me. I wasn’t even aware that I had a dedicated floor of the castle only for me, let alone knowing that I had that tapestry dedicated to me as well."
"I still don’t know why… Why do we have the possibility that I am… well, what I am now thanks to your presence. "When outsiders come across this entity, make sure you don’t stay with it for long, or you’ll transform into a creature of madness" That’s what it said."
"...I apologize."
"...Don’t be. I know you had no choice, and even then, we couldn’t be able to be separated due to that curse of tea. It was bound to happen, and I am sure you aren’t malicious."
"...Thank you." Chaos said. "You can stay here at my house as we find a home for you, if you like."
"...I appreciate it dearly. Besides, with your size, you would need someone to clean the upper shelves." Lucid said, laughing a little.
"...Haha, very funny."
"... I still have another question on my mind though…" Lucid said. "How is it possible that Fylass was the one that made that artwork in the first place? Everything in Wonderland seems connected to them in some way."
"...It was said that this world was made for the sake of one tortured soul that fell to their own insanity, leaving a trail of chaos on its way, that had to be hidden away in a personal hell… Those sayings were lost to time though."
"...Are you saying that…"
"...Maybe. Only time will tell."
"But the kid is… dead though…"
"...What makes you think that they died?"
"...Everything really, the hat, their absence, their behavior, basic logic. Everything points to the fact that the kid left this world… And I couldn’t do anything about it."
"...There’s not a corpse, so they are not dead. You can confirm those suspicions when we find it, if that’s even remotely possible…"
"...How are you so sure?"
"We don’t always have to look at things directly. We sometimes have to look through the hands of time. We sometimes have to look through reflections. We sometimes have to look…"
"...Through the Looking Glass."

ch21 pops off briefly in some cool ways!
first you get this sick ass Temple Of Doom vibe. Castle Gyges, where all the shit goes down.
god i wish i could tell you some fic spoilers, this is the exact screenshot for one cool scene.
anyway, then check out this sick cinematography as the ominous foreshadowing starts up~~~
looming dark ominousness both with the building structures and the sky notably going darker, separating the screen in a diagonal sense for the further unease; bunch of purple and green which are traditionally "villain colors".
corrin off to the side of that second shot to further her isolation from the royal group.
anyway right after that second shot anthony is the obvious traitor as he leads corrin to the back enterence all alone. there's a really deliciously nasty dead dove fic that lives rent free in my mind re: anthony about this part lol
thankfully, corrin has at least one brain cell and knows there's a high chance she's walking into a trap, and she's left a message with everyone in case if she didn't return.
anthony goes yandere.
points for effort of that slasher smile, anthony, though I know somebody who wears it better.... :P
SPEAKING OF....
Gunter arrives in the second wave of 'oh it WAS a trap after all' reinforcements, behind Takumi and Leo aka the Thank God You Have Common Sense Royals(tm)
(+Xander who was the 'pls consider it's a trap' guy)
THAT IS RICH COMING FROM YOU, WANKER
(this whole scene is simultaneously really funny and REALLY PAINFUL when you know. uh. his deal.)
anankos decides he's totally capital-D-done with anthony and straight up turns him into a faceless in front of you for his failure. the transformation sounds nightmarish, ngl.
afterwards corrin gets one of those chats with the whole gang of them saying 'yeah you have a major weakness of trusting people but that's also what got you to herd all of us psychos together so, you win for once?
speaking of -
.... you know what, that's saccharine, but that's actually cute, sheesh. he of all people's seen her from start to finish, so i feel like that actually does mean something as a very subtle nod to all of her work during the middle third of rev, all the way back when nobody believed her and azura.
anyhoo, chapter 22 was up next.
ch22 really could be welded together with 23, as it's basically "azura faces her possessed mother part 1" versus 23 being the "actually finally kills her for good". basically a whole lot of nothing happens here, but i did find it interesting how everyone/corrin/azura really was leaning on the 'she's not your mother anymore' angle as an easier way to accept the fact she's brutally fighting/killing her only surviving family member.
hold onto that thought ~~~~
anyway ch23 is when it actually starts popping off again re: gunter >:) almost there to the fun bits.

I Believe I fell from the Sky - Chapter 1 Pt. 1
Tarrant Hightopp x Reader
Words - 3202
Notes - The first three parts or supposed to be one but theres a word limit. Hope you enjoy :)
“Are you alright?” he questions. “Sorry?” you reply. “I asked if you were alright, you fell out of the tree.” He states. “What? But that doesn't make any sense, I was just, just…. Where was I?” you spoke to yourself, not entirely aware of the man in front of you. “Well nothing here ever really makes sense, but I do know you were just in the tree, unless you’ve fallen from the sky?” You finally sit up and take a good look at the man. He had pale skin, and colors all around his eyes. He was wearing a top-hat with many odd decorations on it. He had orange hair under the hat, and was wearing a colorful outfit to match his hat. “How could I have fallen from the sky, that’s impossible.” you give the man a questioning look, wondering where he even came up with the idea. “Well it's only impossible if you believe it is. I know someone who believes as many as six impossible things before breakfast.” he gives you a smile, with a certain look in his eyes, though you can’t exactly tell what it means. He stands and extends his hand toward you, offering to help you up. You take his hand and pull yourself up. “Oh, that will never do. Why don’t you come home with me and I’ll fix you right up!” He gives you a big grin, with that same strange look in his eyes. You question what he's talking about until you glance down, seeing the tears in your dress. “That is very kind of you, but I really must be on my way, if I’m not back soon someone may notice.” you say, hoping he would be able to point you in the correct direction. “Do you not enjoy tea?” “Sorry?” “You would not like to stay for tea? It's almost tea time and it would be most splendid if you had tea with us!” he smiles down at you, awaiting your response. “Sir, with all due respect, I don’t even know your name, how do I know I can trust you?” “My name is Tarrant Hightopp, but most call me hatter.” There was that certain look in his eyes again. “Well I guess that's a start, my name is (f/n) (l/n), but most call me (n/n).” you give him a slight smile while holding out your hand for him to shake. He takes your hand and starts shaking it. “Well Ms. (n/n), may I also add that your sleeves are torn and you will certainly not get to your destination in the sky before dark, please allow me to get you some warmer clothes.” He still has not stopped shaking your hand. “I did not fall out of the sky! But I do suppose you're right, after all you must know this place much better than I would.” You give him a smile, he smiles back and stops shaking your hand. “Well then, I suppose we should be on our way!” He keeps his smile plastered on his face and starts down the winding path, and you soon follow after.
After some walking you arrive at a white castle, with lovely pink trees and flowers lining the walls. You stare in amazement at the beauty of the palace. “Beautiful isn’t it?” he looks back at you as you approach the gates. He has that look in his eyes, and a grin on his face. “Come inside and we shall find you some more suitable clothes. I think you would look fine in almost anything! You have a rather nice head, you know.” “Thank you.” you say, questioning the odd compliment. He stops and turns to face you before entering the castle. “Personally, I think you would look rather stunning in a top hat.” he tilted his head to the side, giving you a sly grin, narrowing his eyes. You smile back at him, before he quickly turns and opens the large doors to the castle.
You arrive at a room at the end of a long hallway. The hatter opens the door for you and you walk inside. You look around and see walls full of fabrics, hats, and many different outfits, shoes, and accessories. “Hatter! Have you made all of this?” You turn to him in amazement. He smiles shyly “Yes, well I had a little help with some of it.” “Hatter, it’s amazing!” you turn to him, with a bright smile on your face. “Th-Thank you” he smiles shyly, looking at his shoes. He takes off his hat and sets it on a table set to the side, full of sewing things. “I believe I have the perfect outfit for you! Give me one moment to find it!” He smiles back at you as he walks into the mess of clothing racks and hat stands. You take a seat on the small stool by the table and look around, admiring all of the beautiful colors. “I believe I have found it!” you turn your head to the hatter waking out from the mess with hangers in his hand. “Go try it on and tell me what you think!” he points to a small room in the corner which you quickly change in and step out to show the hatter. He had picked out a knee length fluffy red skirt, a white shirt with long loose sleeves, and a black corset vest. He smiles and pulls out a pair of white boots from a box. “You look ready for tea,” he says with a smile, “I believe these are about your size.” You try on the boots and they fit almost perfectly. “Thank you hatter! It's all very lovely.” you smile up at him. “Yes it looks very nice on you, though it's missing something I can't quite put my finger on.” He looks the whole thing over one more time. He suddenly runs back into the mess and emerges with a top hat. The top hat is the same red as the skirt, with a white ribbon around it. and there are black buttons and pins decorating the hat. The hatter smiles proudly at his creation before placing it atop your head. “There, now it's perfect.” He smiles at you before pulling you to a mirror on one of the walls. “Everything is lovely, hatter!” his look suddenly saddens, and you look at him with question in your eyes. “I suppose now that you have proper clothing you will be returning home?” “I don't have much of a home, but I probably should be getting back” you give him a small smile. “What do you mean you don’t have a home, everyone has a home.” he questions you. “I’m an orphan, I grew up in a home for girls. I still stay there to work.” “Well then couldn't you stay here? I have an extra bed in my house, or I’m sure there are extra rooms in the castle?” He gives you a questioning smile, awaiting your answer. “ Tarrant, I-I don’t know that I could. I-I mean, I have a job, a-and I-” he cuts you off “But you could work here if you want to work, though you wouldn't really need to, and everyone here is so nice and I would like to have you as a friend.” he holds your hands in his, giving you a hopeful look. “I suppose we could decide over tea?” you give him a smirk, you may just think about his offer.

Chapter 3- Meeting
ch 1 ch 2
——
“Yeah, that’s a big fucking moon, alright.”
By coincidence, it seemed, Michael arrived at the spawn of Hermitcraft at night, greeted by Joe and a heavily armored dude who looked like a pink axolotl. Oh, and the moon, which took up about half of the sky.
“My goodness, such naughty words!” The axolotl said, putting one hand to his chest and the other on the handle of his sword.
“Oh, sorry my dude. Just, you know, moon big and all. I’m Michael.” Michael extended a hand.
“Well, it is nice to meet you. I am Xisuma, I do the admin stuff around here.” Xisuma shook his hand. “I don’t usually let random people on the server, but I trust Joe’s judgement… I think.”
Joe, who had been staring aimlessly up at the moon, started at his name and walked forward to stand next to Michael. “Michael was an invaluable friend when I went missing for many months, and plus he runs a radio station, which is super cool!”
“Hold on, when did you go missing?” Xisuma sputtered. Joe opened his mouth to answer but was interrupted by a communicator going off. Xisuma took it out of a pocket and looked down at the screen. “Aw geez. Well, I’d love to stay and chat, but, as Mike here pointed out, moon big. Plus evil X needs me.” Xisuma took off in an anxious flurry of rockets.
Michael watched him fly away and then looked at Joe with his mouth open. “Y’all can fly here?”
“We have the option to, yes.” Joe smiled. “Welcome to Hermitcraft, Michael. Seems like I owe you twice now. Once for letting me lodge in your home, and now this.”
“Don’t worry about it, Joe.” Michael clapped him on the back. “Not gonna lie, I was a bit suspicious about this whole thing, considering we’ve only met once, but that fuckin’ moon, man. What the fuck?”
“That’s what I say every evening, minus the expletives.” Joe replied. “And things just keep getting weirder.” He lead Michael to a nether portal and they went through it and down the hall inside. Michael looked around as they walked, mouth open in surprise. “Since I called you, there’s been an update to the new normal. So the moon is big, and getting bigger still. There’s also intermittent earthquakes. And now, we’re pretty sure gravity sometimes just kinda… stops working?” Michael was quickly developing a headache.
They arrived at another portal labeled “Joe and Cleo” and stepped through. Michael found himself looking out towards a huge, sprawling castle.
“Dude! Is this your fucking house?” Michael staggered backwards. It looked exceptionally beautiful with the giant moon beginning to set behind it. It was all bright sandstone that seemed to absorb the moonlight, with glittering windows all over.
“What, you don’t live in a castle?” A dark figure came around the portal.
“Ahh! A zombie!” Michael hid behind Joe.
“Well, you are partially correct! This is ZombieCleo, my best friend and castle-mate.” Joe said, and the figure stepped into the light of a torch, revealing herself to be a redhead woman in what seemed to be colorful eighties workout attire.
Cleo stuck out her hand and and Michael took it. “Nice to meet you. I’m rotting.” True to her statement, her hand felt slimy and looked rather grey.
“Uh, great.” Michael pulled his hand back quickly and wiped the slime onto his shirt. Cleo cackled.
“Don’t mind her. She likes to bully people. It means she likes you.” Joe said, gazing out towards the castle. “So, Michael, I’m thinking we can start by looking at the moon measurements I have, and then maybe a few-hour briefing- I have like a stack of notes on the moon and all that. Then maybe we can-”
“Joe, for goodness sake, poor Michael is completely overwhelmed. Not that I care, I try not to, but he literally looks like he’s about to pass out.”
Michael, true to Cleo’s observations, had gone to lean against a nearby tree, a hand pressed to his face.
“Yeah, Joe, sorry, but I just traveled a lot, just saw some of the most breathtaking buildings I’ve ever seen, and uh, moon, big.” Michael gestured vaguely around at the open air. “We don’t have shit like this where I come from. It’s mostly like… craters from explosions and empty houses. Normal moons. It’s a lot to take in at once.”
“Oh, if you think this is breathtaking, lemmie show you the rest of the server!” Joe said, clapping his hands. “But maybe later.” He added after a pointed look from Cleo. “Yeah, okay, fair, we’ll pick this back up tomorrow. The moon isn’t gonna, like, crash into the server before then. Probably.”
All three of them laughed uncomfortably, and then Joe lead the way across the river to a cozy little tavern, where there was a room available. The sun was just beginning to shine through the cracks in the shades when Michael entered his room and put his backpack down on the bed.
“Well, we have some walls to move. See you tomorrow, alright?” Joe bounced on his feet awkwardly.
Michael looked at him, and Cleo standing behind him in the doorway. The small man with the weird glasses and the beefy zombie fitness instructor woman. Michael laughed in spite of it all. Everything was just too weird.
“Yeah, tomorrow.”
Joe and Cleo bade him good night (“or should I say good morning? Like, the sun is rising.”) and closed the door behind them. Michael could hear their conversation as they walked back down the stairs.
“Do you really think some conspiracy theorist is the key to figuring all of this out? It’s a bit of a crazy idea, Joe.”
“The whole world’s gone crazy, it seems. And I don’t think we have much time left before it devours us all whole.”
“Well, that’s comforting.”

Epithet Erased Week - Day 7
I had a hard time picking an AU for this but once I did holy crap. Uh. This may have gotten a bit out of hand, and some parts may be a bit extraneous, but I'm determined to keep all of them. It might also be a bit incoherent because I spat it out in a two hour sitting and didn't edit it it just kind of showed up???
This is set in the Psychonauts AU I posted about a while ago since people seemed to like it??? I guess we'll test that now.
Because one part in this nonsense might make people think it, I do not ship Molly and Sylvie. Sylvie's just being a good therapist/friend in a scene partially inspired by something I'd like to write in the future but am not sure I'll ever get around to because it's part of a whole plot I'd like to write and I don't know the details of that entire plot.
Reminder that because day 8 (redesign) is impossible to do in writing I'll be skipping straight to day 9! Holy god am I actually going to finish one of these
Warning for written potential thalassophobia triggers
--
"Well," Sylvie says dryly, watching the group of tiny, googly-eyed, brightly-colored octopi marching along the sand in front of him carrying a 2x4 like a colony of ants carrying a corn flake. "I don't know what I expected."
The sun beats down from some unseen point in the clear blue sky overhead, warming their faces. Molly's already opted to tie her bear hoodie around her neck by the arms rather than wear it, and Sylvie's considering following her lead with his own jacket, though Percy seems more than comfortable in her trenchcoat. The island they'd arrived on is spacious but sparse, mostly covered in palm trees with purple leaves. The only denizens are the octopi in various sizes and colors, who appear to be building a cabin at the treeline--at least, the ones who aren't goofing off on the beach.
"...Hmph." Percy rests a hand on her hip, watching the builder octopi with narrowed eyes. "Howie would throw a fit if he saw this."
"Um...doesn't he hate psychics," Molly asks tentatively, raising a hand.
"Oh, yes, in a sense. But also I highly doubt these building conditions are OSHA compliant. Not a single piece of safety equipment to be seen anywhere."
"Ugh." Sylvie begins to pace along the shore, cupping his chin in one hand and holding his elbow with the other. "This doesn't make any sense."
"I agree," Percy says with a sage nod. "Even in a mental world, safety is important."
"What--no! Not that." Sylvie shakes his head, gesturing with one hand. "This can't be all there is here. That's not how memories work."
Molly rocks on her feet, hands clasped in front of her. "You said you talked to him yesterday, right?"
"I interviewed him, yes." Sylvie wiggles his finger in a spiral pattern in the air to illustrate his point. "I've been able to get suppressed memories that way before, and we got pretty deep into his subconscious, but then he just...hit a wall. It was almost like it hurt him."
"Hurt him?" Molly frowns. "Should we really be doing this, then?"
"No, no--he was still trying to remember, he wanted to, he just...couldn't for some reason."
"May I suggest we check around the perimeter," Percy says. "There may be something here we're missing."
"Yeah, yeah, sure. Molly?"
"Okay."
"And do be careful." Percy squints suspiciously at a group of octopi building an elaborate sand castle nearby. "Despite the cheerful setting, we don't know what might be lurking behind those adorable googly eyes."
Sylvie, Molly, and one of the builder octopi stare at Percy in utter bewilderment, before Sylvie tugs on Molly's arm and they start walking.
There really isn't that much more to see along the rest of the shoreline, which Sylvie supposes makes sense. Molly, Phoenica, and Trixie had only brought the mysterious and enthusiastic "Rick Shades" back to the training facility about a week ago, and he'd been all but a babbling mess for the first few hours due to starvation and dehydration. After that, he'd claimed to be suffering nearly all-consuming retrograde amnesia, though this certainly hadn't stopped him from immediately trying to make friends with absolutely everyone in the building. He had an odd way of going about things and very little social sense, but he'd proven a rather capable psychic when it came to the more physical abilities, and did not hesitate to share his bizarre techniques with anyone who would listen (and some who wouldn't).
Sylvie had tried his own brand of hypnotherapy on him, but it had gone poorly, ending up with Rick facedown on the floor apologizing for ten minutes. So, with Rick's permission, they'd decided to try to find the problem at its source. Neither Sylvie nor Molly could be dissuaded from the opportunity--Sylvie for the potential learning experience, and Molly to help in lieu of Phoenica, who had become extremely attached to Rick and extremely invested in his well-being--and, considering it was supposed to be relatively safe, had been allowed to as long as Percy supervised.
Their scouting is uneventful (aside from a brief glimpse of some censors chasing some octopi around in a circle, both parties letting out constant high-pitched screaming), and eventually Sylvie sits down in the sand with a huff, putting his face in his hands.
"There shouldn't be so little here!" He cracks one eye open to stare off into the distance, where all that can be seen is an infinite expanse of crystal blue water. "No vaults, no baggage, not even figments. Memories don't just disappear, they've got to be somewhere in here!"
"Um..." Molly sits down next to him, awkwardly patting his arm. "...It's okay if we don't find anything. He seems pretty happy."
"But I have to figure this out now."
"You really don't." Molly smiles, a little strained. "We can just go! It's fine."
"Ms. Blyndeff is correct." Percy inclines her head. "It's possible there may be something in the trees, but I'm beginning to get a bad feeling about this place."
"You don't get it, just--let me think."
Molly's face falls, and her gaze drops to the sand as she scoots away from him, eventually getting back up to do some pacing of her own. Really, it's not her fault, it's no one's fault, but--Sylvie considers himself an expert at interpreting things like dreams and mental worlds, it's the thing he's good at even compared to the adults. It's the thing people have to take seriously about him, and if he fails to figure out the first slightly unorthodox mind he comes across, then...!
"Sylvie!"
Sylvie's head snaps up. "What?"
Molly's standing ankle-deep in the water with her back to him, pointing. Sylvie pulls himself to his feet, walking over to stand next to her with Percy close behind.
"I thought I saw something in the water--a light?"
"A light?" Sylvie steps forward, until he's waist-deep, trying not to think about his soggy jacket--it's technically not real water and he isn't actually wet, but it sure feels like it. After a moment of hesitation, Sylvie pulls off his glasses, hooks them on his collar, and dunks his head to get a less distorted view.
The island's shore drops off sharply a little ways in front of them, leaving what looks to be empty, dark water extending to a dizzying depth below. As his eyes adjust slightly, Sylvie can make out vague shapes moving underneath, and--
Lights. Colorful lights, like neon signs, blinking somewhere far, far below.
Sylvie stands up straight, head breaking the water with a splash. He's sure his hair looks very pitiful, flat and soggy around his shoulders, but for once he doesn't care. "Of course!" He smacks the heel of his hand into his forehead. "Stupid Sylvester, stupid."
Percy and Molly wade forward to join him, though Molly has to stop as the water reaches her neck, looking both resigned and vaguely annoyed by her own height. "You see something?" Percy asks.
"Molly's right--there's lights, and I see some other stuff. Of course it's all down there!"
"That's great," Molly chirps, though her face is quick to fall again. "But...how do we get down there?"
Sylvie's face twists in disgust. "I guess we're swimming." He hates swimming.
"...How?"
Sylvie turns to her. "Do you not know how to swim?"
"Oh, no, I do, I taught myself!" Sylvie opens his mouth to question that, but not for the first time decides it's really not worth it. "I just figure we're gonna have an issue with...uh...air?"
"Heh." Sylvie reaches up to push up his glasses dramatically, though he forgets they're still on his collar and instead just pokes the bridge of his nose awkwardly. He pretends he meant to do that. "Oh, Molly. You're really gonna need to open your mind a little if you want to get stronger."
Molly gives him a flat look. "Uh-huh. So...you have a way around that, or...?"
"We all do!" Sylvie gestures out into the water. "Essentially, we're in something very much like a dream right now, and dreams don't always have to follow the rules of physics. The same goes for mental worlds. We can't exactly change somebody else's like you could change your dreams, but we can do enough to make a place for ourselves in it."
"You're saying we can breathe underwater?"
"Exactly! If we will it."
Molly tilts her head down slightly, though isn't able to look too far down given the fact that her chin is barely above water. "...I don't know."
"Mr. Ashling is right," Percy says with a nod. "It's been well-documented."
"I'm probably not gonna be able to do it," Molly says, backing up towards the shore.
Sylvie frowns, expression softening somewhat as he matches her steps. Molly always seems...pretty self-deprecating about her own powers. It'd been that way since he'd met her all those months ago, and he can't for the life of him figure out why, aside from the bizarre family issues she's vaguely alluded to. But she's certainly capable. The one time they'd dueled, she'd managed to completely cut off his senses of sight and sound, and blocked his attempts at clairvoyance to get at least some idea of what he was doing. He'd never been beaten before!
"...Molly, I may be a genius, but you're just as capable as everyone else." Somewhere in the back of his mind, Beefton lets him know that came out a bit underhanded. Too late now. He shakes his head. "Here, let's try something."
Sylvie steps forward, holding out both hands. Molly hesitates, but takes them, putting on his best therapist voice.
"Close your eyes. I'm gonna start walking backwards with you, and you're just gonna focus on my hands, and your breathing. Not on the water. It's pretty mild in temperature, it's basically not even here. And you're gonna keep breathing. If you have any trouble with it, we'll get you out, and we'll leave. Okay?"
Molly nods. Sylvie glances to Percy, who nods as well and moves to stand behind Molly, arms held out. Sylvie begins walking backwards, trying to make as little noise as possible as Molly's hands grip his tighter.
Her head goes underwater before his does, and he can't help but tense a bit, but she doesn't even seem to notice. Sylvie grins at Percy, who gives him a faint smile back. Man, he's good.
Another large step backwards, and Sylvie's underwater as well. It's a bit strange to keep breathing when his mind is trying to tell him he's underwater, but he gets the hang of it after a couple seconds. He keeps stepping them back until they reach the dropoff.
"Okay." His voice is maybe a bit muffled, but at least not too terribly distorted. "You can open your eyes now."
Molly does--and gasps, then clamps a hand over her mouth. Sylvie holds onto her other hand, and for a moment it looks like she's going to panic...before she smiles.
"...Feenie's gonna be really jealous," she says. "She can't swim at all. Oh! And this might help with Lori's stuff!"
Sylvie nods, though he's still not sure what that means, exactly. Molly lets go of his hand and does a messy breaststroke forward, looking down.
"And that's the light I saw!"
"It's quite a ways down," Percy says, now underwater with them with her arms staunchly at her sides as she kicks her legs like a mermaid. Sylvie can't imagine it's effective, but she looks as deadly serious as always. "Shall we get going?"
"We shall," Sylvie replies, extremely pleased with himself. Everything's suddenly coming up aces for him--and figuring out the mystery of this mental world will be the icing on the proverbial cake.
--
Percy's method of swimming isn't really effective--until she summons a psionic pair of flippers in translucent periwinkle around her feet, and a levitation orb to hold like a motor. Sylvie kicks himself for not thinking of it, but lets her swim ahead while he and Molly work out how to at least do the levball trick, though neither of them are quite as good at it. The glow at least helps as the water grows darker.
Sure enough, everything is under the surface. They pass some figments early on (Molly points out ones that look like her, Phoenica, and Trixie), then some surreal-looking sea life including a quite literal sea horse, then some aquatic variants of common mental denizens (there's something about a censor in a full business suit with a very sparkly mermaid tail that Sylvie finds almost unreasonably funny, though the quantity of regrets taking the form of oozy jellyfish are somewhat concerning).
Thankfully, pressure appears to be as much of a non-issue as air, though as they travel further down, the lights in the distance don't seem to get any closer. Strange shapes begin to form in the shadows cast by their levballs, and Percy bids the two to stay back as she investigates. Molly presses a finger to her temple, a green glow signaling her attempting to boost Percy's sense of sight, and Sylvie closes his eyes, mentally reaching out until he can see through Percy's eyes.
In the pale blue glow of her orb, the shape glints like metal, though it's dark as obsidian and covered in spikes. Sylvie can sense Percy's sudden spike of concern from behind her eyes, and quickly snaps back to himself, swimming backwards with Molly following after.
"Stay put," Percy says, swimming a ways back as well--before shooting a blast of blue psionic energy at the shape.
The white flash as it explodes only serves to contrast the black lightning it produces, reaching out hungry tendrils into the water around it like a living thing. There's a couple of other explosions from nearby mines, and as the ringing in his ears fades, Sylvie can hear what sounds like a very large group of censors approaching at speed.
"Go," Percy demands, and the kids don't have to be told twice. The trio speed downwards, and when Sylvie glances over his shoulder, though he can't see the lightning against the dark water, he can faintly make out the shapes of large censors beating at it--and disintegrating.
"...Judging by the speed of the reaction, these things definitely represent a major concern," Sylvie says.
"They're everywhere," Molly breathes, turning her green orb this way and that to shine its faint light on more obsidian mines.
Percy turns to Sylvie, frowning deeply. "Any thoughts, Mr. Ashling?"
"I...can't be sure if this is what's causing the problem, but it might be a sign pointing towards it. It's likely representing a desire to keep something away from this part of the mental world, but I can't tell by looking if they're artificial or not."
"Perhaps we should retreat for the moment."
"No!" Sylvie's eyes practically glint in his own orange light as he points downwards. "We're definitely getting closer now. We just need to be careful and--"
Something cuts him off.
It's a groan like a creaking ship mixed with a crooning whale, far away and yet loud enough to rattle all of their ribcages and set the water around them vibrating. Percy quickly darts out in front of them, dispelling her flippers and levball in favor of a cutlass made out of pure psionic energy, her signature weapon. Sylvie pulls Molly back by the shoulders, casting about with his mind for the sound's source.
He does find a presence, but it's a bit like turning on your headphones only to find you left the volume on all the way up, and it almost physically blasts him backwards. He only realizes he'd started sputtering when Molly shakes his shoulders.
"Are you okay?!"
"I--yes--it--very loud--"
The sound comes again, though this time with a note of anger. Something rises up before them, effortlessly pushing aside the mines. In the faint light of Percy's sword, they can make out a round, bulbous shape in a mottled, sickly blue color. As it moves up and up and up, the light shines off sunken googly eyes, over a very, very large mass of tentacles that stretch into the darkness below. The whole thing looks like a mix of the worker octopi, the aquatic variety of regrets, and Cthulhu itself, and though not all of it is visible, Sylvie guesses it's at least the size of a house.
("BEEFTON CANNOT SWIM,") Sylvie's archetype loudly reminds him in his head.
At the same time, Percy dismisses her sword and grabs them both in large psionic hands. "Retreat!"
Percy shoots upwards like a rocket just as the creature swings a tentacle at her, dragging the kids along behind with her constructs. Molly practically clings to Sylvie's arm as Sylvie looks down, trying to get a better look at the creature, but the darkness is quick to claim it. It wails again, very loud, too loud, but it doesn't sound like it's following them.
Percy maneuvers them deftly through the minefield into comparatively shallower waters, and they're high enough to find a school of regrets before she dares to stop.
They're all gasping for air despite being underwater, hearts pounding. Molly only extricates herself from Sylvie after a solid minute, wrapping her arms around herself instead. "What. Was that."
"I don't know," Sylvie admits, too frazzled to think up an excuse or explanation. "Clearly whatever it is he doesn't know it's there or I feel like he would've said something!"
"Clearly, we should leave," Percy says, already digging in her pocket for her salts. "Mr. Shades needs to be made aware of this immediately."
"W-wait!" Molly waves her hands. "S-should we really tell him about this? I feel like it'll freak him out. I mean...it was only after we got past the big do not enter mines that it showed up, right?"
"Only after we got close to the lights..." Sylvie's brows furrow. "Maybe it's...protecting whatever's down there? It didn't seem benign, but it didn't follow us, either..." Sylvie shakes his head. "You might be right, Molly. Maybe we should think about this a little more."
"I am a mere security officer here to ensure your safety," Percy says, hand solemnly over her chest. "I will defer to your judgment."
"Thank you." Though it's just Percy being Percy, he does appreciate that she's always treated him like an adult, exactly the same way she'd treat everyone else. He's never felt looked down on by her, which is why he'd been willing to have her along.
And he supposes she had saved their rears just now...Sylvie doesn't really have much combat ability outside of his aspect, and he knows Molly doesn't either--or at least, none she's willing to use, if the faint hints she's dropped to a pyrokinetic ability are correct. If either of them have a problem, they think and trick their way out of it. Something about the sheer noise of that construct's mind makes Sylvie think outsmarting it probably wouldn't have been possible.
Sylvie takes a deep breath, and lets it out in a long sigh, hand traveling to his own pocket. "Okay. Yeah. I think we're done here. Molly?"
"Fine by me." She fumbles around in the hoodie still tied around her shoulders like a cape. "But I think I'm gonna have to tell Trixie and Giovanni about the squid."
"You're--!"
But Molly's already gone. He gives Percy a sort of desperate, frustrated look, only getting her usual flat expression in reply. Sylvie huffs, and braces himself.
--
Sylvie's chin drops forward before he jolts upright and alert, coughing violently into his sleeve. He always thinks this time he'll be prepared for the smell, but it never gets any better--though he supposes that's the point. Doesn't make it any less unpleasant, and it sticks in his nose for what feels like forever.
"Oh! Hello!"
He looks up from his hacking fit to see Rick, sitting in the dentist's-office-looking chair where they'd left him nose-deep in a comic book. He's grinning, as usual.
"That was very strange to watch!"
Sylvie swipes at his nose with his jacket sleeve. "Mhm." He takes a moment to get his bearings, then stands, glancing over to find Molly and Percy already on their feet, Molly pulling a face (presumably also at the salts).
Rick puts the comic book facedown on the table next to him and hops to his feet, clapping his hands together eagerly. "So! Did you find anything?"
Percy bows her head grimly. "I regret to inform you that your mind appears to be full of cephalopods."
Rick continues grinning. "I fail to see the issue!"
"No, we didn't really find anything," Molly says, playing with the fur on the sleeves of her hoodie, "I'm sorry."
"Oh." Rick's smile lessens slightly in intensity, and there's a flicker of disappointment behind his sunglasses--but it's gone so quick Sylvie can't be sure he'd actually seen it. "That's fine."
"Really?"
"Certainly!" Rick puts a hand over the heart patch on his jacket, which is on the wrong side. His face turns stony as if he's giving a soliloquy. "I may not have my memories, but I do have something far more important."
"Oh boy," Sylvie mutters.
Rick's eyes go impossibly wide, and his smile shows more teeth than it's supposed to. "FRRRRRIENDSHIP!!!"
He says it like it's a be-all end-all and also probably a curse, leaning towards Sylvie. Sylvie quickly leans away. Rick's friendship sights had been seemingly really set on him recently for whatever reason. It was weird enough that Molly was willing to hang around with him.
"Now, we are BONDED," Rick bellows, throwing a fist to the sky. "The four of us are closer than EVER BEFORE! You cannot hope to escape the ties of our camaraderie!"
"Uh-huh," Sylvie grumbles.
"We might not have found your memory, but on the bright side we saw tiny octopi in the first stages of forming a society!" Molly beams. "You know, before the inevitable corruption sets in."
Rick clasps his hands together. "Oh, lovely!"
"They were quite adept builders," Percy agrees. "Howie would be proud, assuming I left out all the safety violations."
"Howie? Who is this Howie?"
"You'll know him when you see him." Percy waves a dismissive hand, turning towards the door. "Now, I believe it's time for some sustenance following our Sisyphean exertions."
Molly laughs nervously. "From...the cafeteria, right?"
"Yes, I am afraid I have not gathered any pinecone treats recently."
Molly sighs in relief. Rick raises a hand. "What is a pine cone?"
"I'll have to show you when I get some more," Percy says with a warm smile. Molly shakes her head very aggressively behind her. "They make a delightful healthy snack."
"We should go," Sylvie says, and thankfully the others agree without any further protest.
The four of them leave for the cafeteria together, Molly lagging behind. Sylvie slows down to walk with her, and she looks up at him with a grateful nod. Though it was destined to remain a secret, Rick's talk about bonding might not have been too far off the mark--they have a mystery to solve now, together.

Moonlight Dip
Neville Longbottom x Fem! Reader
Warnings: Fluff, Sexual content (super brief).

“We’re going swimming.”
Hogwarts was always desolate and quiet at this time of night. The only person who was supposed to be stirring was Filch, Mrs. Norris, and possibly Professor Snape keeping an eye out for any students who had grown bold enough to break curfew. Most students didn’t bother trying to sneak around the castle at night. Not because they were afraid of getting caught, but because if they DID get caught, they’d have to deal with Filch’s overly strict behavior. Honestly, that was a punishment in and of itself.
Which was why Neville just couldn’t seem to figure out why you were leading him through the dark corridors, moving like a woman on a mission. You had crept into his dorm around midnight or so, pouncing on his bed and shaking him from his gentle slumber. You barely waited for him to wake up before you were whisper-shouting at him that you had somewhere for the two of you to go. He never minded a surprise visit from you, but he also wasn’t very keen on attempting to slip out undetected. Still, his curiosity won out.
“Hey, uh, flower?” He whispered, not knowing where Filch might’ve been.
“Yes, Neville?” You whispered back, peering your head around the corner to check for anyone coming.
“Where are we going exactly? And why are you in your robes?” He questioned, feeling a bubble of nervousness in his chest.
Truth be told, Neville felt a little underdressed. He was clad in his pajamas bottoms and an old t-shirt that he only used to sleep in. You looked back at him with a smile, his heart leaping at how beautiful you looked under the illumination of the Lumos you had uttered from your wand. Neville had learned to be more spontaneous after he had begun dating you. You were as sweet and respectful as anyone, but you definitely had a wild side that sometimes shaved some years off of Neville’s life. He wasn’t sure what to think of it at first, but over time he found that he loved all of your silly shenanigans. Even the ones that had gotten you both in hot water before.
“I told you, Nev. It’s a surprise!” You answered, squeezing his hand that was interlaced in yours, “It won’t be a surprise anymore if I tell you.”
Neville made a puzzled, yet thoughtful look as he racked his brain of possible ideas. He thought that maybe that you were daring to venture to Hogsmeade for a late night snack. Every now and again, you’d convince Neville to help you with sneaking into Honeydukes after hours to snag a few treats (don’t worry, you always left the right amount of money on the counter to pay for it).
However, his theory was proven wrong when he realized that you were taking him past the courtyard and in the general direction of the Quidditch field. He was glad that it was well into spring now, and the nights were warm with the days. You didn’t play Quidditch though, and neither did he. So he couldn’t fathom why you were headed that way.
“The Quidditch fields are always dark this time of night. There’s no way we’ll be able to see.” Neville pointed out, mumbling under his breath when he almost tripped on a loose rock.
You turned to look at him again, another smile plastering on your face.
“Then it’s a good thing that we aren’t going there.” You replied.
Sure enough, you kept walking towards your desired locating, keeping your antsy boyfriend in tow. About the time that Neville had given up on trying to figure out where you were taking him, his question was answered. The lake was always so pretty at night, and tonight was no exception. The moon was only a phase away from being full, but still offering enough light to where the two of you could somewhat see. The reflection bounced beautifully off of the dark lake, creating glittering ripples in the water when it was agitated from it’s still position.
You let go of Neville’s hand once you were standing on the bank, crouching down to untie your shoelaces. Neville stood still, his arms at his side rather awkwardly. He wasn’t picking up on your plan just yet.
“I didn’t know that you like to fish.” Neville said aloud, not bothering to whisper anymore since there was no chance that anyone would be out here.
“I don’t.” You giggled, removing your shoes and socks.
Neville’s eyebrows raised, still oblivious even as your fingertips worked at untying the cord around your robes. Well, he WAS oblivious, until it was literally right in front of his face.
“Then why are we- oh my God, what are you doing?” He cut himself off when your robes fell to the grass, revealing your bra and knickers underneath.
Neville was glad that it was mainly dark outside, because his sudden deep blush would’ve been painfully obvious otherwise. You smirked at the bashful boy who was frozen in place, unsure of what he was supposed to do.
“We’re going swimming.” You announced, reaching for his hand again.
Except he didn’t take your hand. He wasn’t on board with this idea at all.
“Oh no. No, no, no. I draw the line at swimming naked!” He rattled off, taking a step away from you.
You weren’t offended in the slightest, and you were even rather amused at his skittish behavior. This was nothing new to you.
“I’m technically not naked.” You reminded him calmly.
“You’re in your knickers!” He hissed back, his eyes widening as he actually took a second to look at the lacy material.
“Exactly. Which equals not naked.” You returned, fighting the urge to burst into laughter.
“Nope!” He protested, sitting down on the grass instead, “I’ve defended us for getting caught sneaking off for Chocolate Frogs and breaking into the library at 3 o’clock in the morning. But I will not try to explain why we were in the lake naked.”
Neville seemed adamant about staying put where he was. He was tempted to get up and leave, but there was no shot in hell that he was going to leave you out here by yourself. He was perfectly fine with sitting off to the side and observing from a safe distance.
“You see me in my underwear all the time, Nevy,” You said, not really believing that the lack of clothes was what he was timid about, “Is it the ‘nakedness’ or the critters that sometimes live in the lake?”
Neville was frightened of a lot of things, and while he tended to love animals, aquatic animals were an exception. Fish and water-based bugs freaked him out for some reason that even you didn’t quite understand. The only animals that lived in and around water that he liked were frogs and toads. The only aspect of the lake that he might enjoy (aside from seeing you wet and half-naked) were the plants that were undoubtedly growing below the surface.
“Maybe both...” He murmured, resting his forearms on top of his knees that were pulled into his chest, “Regardless, I’m staying right here.”
You shrugged your shoulders, believing your intuition that said that he’d be in the water with you in less than fifteen minutes.
“Suit yourself.” You told him before making a graceful entrance splash into the water.
He watched as you plunged in, your entire frame disappearing under the water that looked black due to the inky color of the sky. Neville felt his nerves get fired up when you went under, a slight anxiety in his gut that you might not come back up. The lake wasn’t super deep by any means, only coming up to just below your hip. Neville knew that it was possible to drown in any depth of water, which was why he became a bit on edge.
Thankfully, though, you emerged from below the water before he could get too worked up. He watched with interest when your hands swept your wet hair backwards, slicking it on your head.
Neville had always found you pretty. He thought you were the most beautiful girl on the planet. While he always thought that you looked stunning, there were still times where it was much more clear to him. For instance, early in the morning when you’ve just woken up is one of his favorites. Or right before a Gryffindor party on Friday nights when you’ve taken extra time to get spiffied up. Seeing you always made his heart beat with a little more purpose. It reminded him of how much he cared for and loved you.
And this moment now really had him swooning.
His eyes studied as water droplets dripped from your frame, soaking into your underwear and gliding down your beautiful skin. It created a shiny gleam over you, bringing out all of his favorite parts of you. He must’ve fallen into a lusty daze, because he felt himself snap back into reality when you called to him.
“You sure you don’t want to get in?” You spoke, letting your fingertips trail over the surface of the lake.
Neville shook his head in response.
“I’m good here, tulip. Promise.” He said, still not sure if this was something he wanted to do.
You never pressured Neville into doing things he didn’t want to do. You never wanted him to be uncomfortable around you or associate discomfort with spending time with you. However, you knew that Neville was a worrier. He was an avid overthinker and sometimes just let his nerves get the best of him. You encouraged him to live a little more, without thinking about every single possible outcome of a situation. It’s great to be cautious and aware, but life without taking some risks could be...boring. You just didn’t want Neville to grow old with you and wish he hadn’t let his head get the best of him.
You swam out towards the middle of the lake, but not so far that you couldn’t see or hear Neville. You floated on your back and played with things that you found on the mushy, sandy floor of the lake. Neville maintained a conversation with you, but found himself feeling tempted to join you. It was just swimming. It wasn’t like the two of you were trying to blow up the lake or anything.
“How does...how does it feel?” Neville asked, stifling a giggle at how you were bouncing on your feet with your head lolled to the side to get water out of your ear.
“It’s nice. It’s not warm by any means, but it feels good.” You told him, wringing the excess water from your hair, “Changed your mind?”
Neville chewed the inside of his cheek, but he was warming up to the idea.
“I don’t even have a pair of swim trunks with me.” He argued.
You motioned towards your own body with a look of hilarity.
“Oh, and I’m wearing my swimsuit? It doesn’t matter, love. Just take off what you have on.” You instructed, getting hopeful that he was actually going to do it.
Neville stood from where he sat, stripping down to his boxers at a snail’s pace. He folded his clothes neatly, setting them next to your robes that he had also folded previously. He dipped his foot into the water, expecting it to be much colder than it actually was. It was a lukewarm temperature, something that would be refreshing on a hot summer day, but far too freezing for a frigid winter day. For his moderate spring night, it was perfect.
Neville didn’t love how the bottom of the lake felt on his feet. It was a mix of a squishy, gelatinous feeling. You reached for his hands excitedly, taking them as he waded out to where you were standing.
“So, what do you think?” You wondered, careful not to freak him out too much,
“It feels...nice. I don’t think I’ve ever been in this lake,” He admitted, “How did you even come up with this?”
“Well, you told me once that your Gran used to have a little pond behind her house that you liked to swim in during the summer. You said you enjoyed it and I thought maybe this would be something you’d like too,” You explained to him, suddenly feeling insecure about this whole thing, “I know it’s probably not the same or as fun.”
Now things really started to make sense. Neville felt the cage of butterflies flutter all into his belly whenever you did something sweet for him. Especially when it was something with sentimental value.
Neville had undeniably fallen in love with you. Not because of your witty personality or the random adventures you liked to take him on. Those things were plenty great, and he cherished those things with everything he had. But that wasn’t what made him decide that you were his future.
It was the pureness of your heart.
He fell for you more and more each time you did something for him. Whether it was as small as you combing your fingers through his hair when he was asleep on your chest in the common room, or as big as the time you devised a plan to throw a surprise birthday party for him at his Gran’s house. No matter what it was, you never hesitated to spend your energy, time, and love on making him happy.
“I did always like that pond, flower. But...you want to know something?” He said smoothly, with just the faintest hint of shakiness in his tone, “This is a lot better.”
He pulled you in close at the sight of your brightening eyes, bringing you down with him as he sank down to his knees under the top of the water.
“Oh, yeah? Why’s that?” You pressed on.
“Because you’re here.” He mewled, pressing a kiss to your forehead.
His descent of kisses trailed down to your nose, to your cheeks, to your lips. His kisses were never rushed in moments like this. They weren’t ever in a rush to get to the point or so rough that he didn’t have a chance to feel it. He liked to take his time with you. He liked to savor you.
“I love you, Nev. I really do.” You professed once he pulled away from you.
“I love you, petal,” He returned, going to kiss you again, but stopped when he took a big swash of lake water to the face.
He let out a startled gasp at how he was totally soaked now. It dripped from his hair, droplets rolling to the tip of his nose before falling off back into the lake. He caught your mischievous expression, your cheeks puffed out as you fought your laughter.
“Really funny, doll.” He sputtered, nonchalantly reaching around to your back and unclasping your bra with one hand. He managed to whip it off of you with ease, leaving you completely naked on top.
“Neville!” You squealed, “Give it back! That’s my favorite one!”
Neville teased you as he held your bra high in the air above his head, chuckling as you struggled (and failed) to get it back.
“Don’t worry, love bug. I’ll take good care of it. But if you want it...” Neville paused, shimmying past you and waddling further out into the lake with a sneaky, yet innocent sneer on his face;
“You’ve got to come and get it.”

Close and Far
Well hello again. Long time and no see and all of that. I wanted to thank you for baring with me while I went on a little break. I can’t guarantee that there will be a flood of updates but there should be a bit more than nothing!
I wanted to also thank you for also putting up with my sheikah OC brainrot, I love her and I am having a lot of fun writing her story and sharing with you guys. Anyways...
Here is the next chapter of Hide and Seek! It has been a long time and I hope you guys enjoy.
TW: Swearing (this is a Legend chapter)
Start Here:
Magic swirled around Legend like a welcoming friend as he traveled through the crack. It was like being squashed and stretched and normally he would ride it out until Lorule but now he struggled. He could feel the pull but he resisted it and stopped his journey even though everything was screaming at him not to. He stopped the flow of magic with a sheer force of will and to his massive relief, instead of dying on the spot he found himself tumbling out of a tree of all things.
He laid spread eagle on the ground for a minute, letting his senses return to him as he did a mental once over. Nothing seemed to be missing, he had all his fingers and he guessed all his toes. They felt like they were there when he wiggled them anyway. He dared to let a smile spread across his face as he laid there. It worked, it really worked. He stood up slowly and dusted himself off as he looked around at the new landscape. There was no sound, that was the first thing that caught his attention besides the strange inverted colors. The more he stood there the more it made his skin prickle. There was no breeze either even though he could see it moving the grass. It was unnerving and it made him jittery. To think that Wild and Sky were somewhere here only made his jitters worse.
“Oh yeah, fuck this place,” He muttered to himself as he looked around, trying to figure out just where the Hell he needed to go. Nothing looked familiar, it was like some strange mess of different forests that were just shoved together in a vague approximation of Sky’s Hyrule. He swore he could see a fully grown tree growing sideways out of a rock face like it was the ground.
He put his hands on his hips and looked around and paused when he saw something distinctly man made in the distance. He smiled, kicked his heels into the dirt and sped off towards the strange structure. It was much farther than he expected and he grumbled to himself in annoyance. Out of all the things he had to deal with up to this point he was petty enough to blame Dark for living in such a strange Hell hole. It was like the damn place was growing even as he ran and he cursed, that was until he hit a suddenly large pond. Well it was more of a lake, but a very shallow one. It reflected his face as he looked down. “What the fuck? Why?” He asked no one as he frowned at the mud caking his shoes. “What an asshole,” He snarled, he knew Dark probably didn’t have a choice but fuck it, it’s his fault he’s here. He continued to grumble as he looked around and tried to get his bearings in the sudden scene change. The forest or whatever it was, was way far away, off into the distance. What laid before him now was the giant puddle and… He squinted, was that a fucking dead tree? His breath caught, remembering what Time had described. A creepy looking tree in the center of a lake.
“Holy shit, this is it,” He whispered to himself, excitement started to bubble in him. He couldn’t believe it. He looked around, the castle in the distance as far off still but it was a place to start at any rate. He ran over to it intent on examining it closer, it was a dead tree alright. It’s limbs twisted and dried even as it was surrounded by water. He hummed and started to walk around it and startled when he walked behind the tree to the other side and suddenly the castle that was so far off in the distance was right in front of him. Legend stopped dead, looked at the tree and slowly retraced his steps. When he got back to the opposite side the castle was once again out in the far distance. He repeated the same action a few times. It was curious, he wondered if he tried to run at the castle from the side where it was still far off would it continue to stay in the distance. He hated to admit it, but it was clever. If he had been more of one track mind he would have been running forever. “Clever, but not clever enough,” He said and made to step closer to the castle only to have it shoot back into the distance when he moved away from the tree. He stopped quietly, impressed.
“Well you little shit,” He muttered and stepped back towards the tree making the castle appear in front of him yet again. He took a few experimental steps forward, testing how far he could go without it disappearing. By his guess it was about five feet before the castle leapt away from him. He tilted his head, considering his options of which were few. If he had his claw shot he could just clamp onto the damn thing and probably make it. As it was though he had his boots, a sword, and a long run up. He looked behind himself and sighed. Time for some trial and error.
As it was, it took way more errors than he cared to admit. First the run up was too short and the castle leapt away before he got close. The second and third attempts had him sprinting too long and once again missing that illusive sweet spot he needed. In truth he didn’t know if his crazy plan would even work, but it was all he got and given his most recent track record it couldn’t hurt to try. At least it was on theme.
What was even more frustrating was that even when he felt his fingers brush against the walls of the castle it still shot back out of reach, neglecting to take him with. He had stopped then, out of breath and angry at the new turn of events. Proximity wasn’t enough. Because of course not, why would that work. He let out a groan, hands on his knees and thought.
“I swear to Hylia I am never leaving my shit behind again,” he muttered to himself and straightened. It was like the tacky facade of the castle was laughing at him, taunting. Bastard. He cracked his neck, and leaned against the tree once again considering. He started scanning the walls, eyes flicking from vines to metal accents and back again.
He tried for the vines first, they were going to be the easiest things to get to and there were a lot to choose from. The first few attempts were disappointing. Either he missed or misjudged the jump. When he finally did grab one and felt himself being pulled with the castle but it broke off and he tumbled into the water.
“I fucking hate, I hate this place, I hate this castle, I hate these fucking vines,” He raged as he got back up, now completely soaked and fingers raw. He threw the vine away and pressed his fists to his eyes. The temptation to stop was strong, and he almost considered it on his long trek back to the tree. He could always go back to the others, tell him what he had found and hoped the old man would let him gear up and come back. But even as he thought it he knew it would never happen. He knew they wouldn’t let him out of their sight and he knew it would just be throwing all his progress out the window. There were other, hopefully sturdier options he had yet to try. Metal brackets that held torches failed, as well as other smaller and easier to grab bars that lined some of the smaller windows. Each failure had him raging more and more and he had to stop himself from having a meltdown. It was useless, utterly foolish and useless and he hated the idea that this whole thing had been for nothing. Blocked by a stupid ward that would have been easier if he just had his damn tools.
He took a deep breath, slumped against the tree once again and glowered. Puzzles, damn puzzles and no way to solve it. Brute force was his only option and even that was failing.
“When I get in there, I am going to break every curtain rod I find.” He said to no one. The thought made him chuckle. “Good luck replacing those, I bet you have loads of options in this fucking Hell,” He said the chuckle was turning into a laugh and he felt himself feeling better. Petty revenge, what a better balm for the frustrated soul, he thought as he pulled himself away from the twisted tree. His eyes searched for more hand holds on the lower level that he was aiming for but found nothing promising. His eyes drifted up and spotted a barred window. It looked fairly sturdy with the way they were sunk into the wall, if a bit higher than what he wanted.
“Gonna break all the pots too, I know you have some in there,” He said as he started to back away. The castle disappeared, but he kept moving, keeping his eye trained on where the window would be. When he thought he was far enough away he took a deep breath, hopped from foot to foot and shook out his hands. Worse comes to worse it wouldn’t work and he could just try yet again. “Say goodbye to your curtain rods,” He muttered and kicked off. His boot whirred to life and he pushed as much magic as he dared into his boots. The tree quickly approached and he threw out his hands and leapt. He soared through the air, the castle appeared and loomed ahead of him and he slammed into the window and held fast. There was a pull, a jerk, and he felt like he was being stretched thin from the force of the movement. He clamped down as hard as he could, felt his stomach hit his boots even as his head swirled with the magic that battered around him. It was like it was trying to shake him off, but still he held on until finally the castle came to a sudden halt. He slammed hard into the hard stone. So hard he swore he felt his insides slam into his spine. He groaned, dazed and felt himself fall away from the window and back into the water. The cold water helped. It cleared his vision somewhat at the very least, though he still took his time to breathe and sit up. He felt like one big bruise, but other than that he was mostly intact. He slowly, painfully got to his feet, staggering and had to put his hand on the castle to steady himself. “Yep, gonna break all your things, and then kick your ass,” He wheezed and straightened the best he could and looked back. He couldn’t see the tree any more, couldn’t see anything actually. It was all just… Water… Water as far as his eyes could see. He hummed a bit, not sure what that could mean for him, let alone Sky and Wild. He turned his attention back to the new problem at hand, getting inside. He slowly made his way around the front of the massive beast of the castle walls. It wasn’t long until he found pay dirt in the form of a gap. It was too thin for him to squeeze through but not too thin for a painting.
He cracked his knuckles and carefully funneled some magic into his bracelet. He could feel it hum to life and he pressed his hand to the wall. Just like back in the glade he felt himself compress flat, felt his breath leave him in a rush. He made his way through the crack and appeared on the inside of the castle, popping out from the wall and took a shuddering breath, careful to keep it quiet just in case something was lurking around.
If the outside looked massive it didn’t hold a candle to what the inside looked like. He was in a large room with hallways that spread out in a maze. How anyone was supposed to find their way in this place he had no idea. Though he supposes that is the point.
“How irritating,” he muttered unhappily and looked down each hallway. Each one was made in a different style. He recognized what looked like the main hall from his own time and he started down it. It was as good a place as any to start.
He didn’t know how long he wandered down seemingly endless corridor after corridor, taking great pains to stick close to walls and shadows as he went. He didn’t know why Dark hadn’ noticed him yet, it seemed like something that should have happened long before now. He tested doors as he went but found all of them locked. That is until he turned down a particularly eerie looking hallway and a very interesting black stone door. He didn’t expect the door knob to turn, none of the others had so his breath caught in his chest when to his amazement there was a click. He slowly poked his head into the door and grimaced at the sparse room. It was all black on the inside, a strange stone that shimmered menacingly. But what really caught his attention was the oversized bed in the center, and what looked like a person lying on the overly stuffed cushioning. “Sky?” The word passed by his lips before he remembered to stay silent. He moved into the room properly, closing the door silently behind him and padded over to the bed. Sky looked as pale as a ghost against the red sheets and his now black tunic. He went to reach out a hand, brush his fingers through Sky’s hair as he slept, if only to prove that he was actually here. Sky let out a groan before his hand could make contact and Legend was acutely aware that he might very well still be under Dark’s control. His eyes were struggling to open and he looked around frantically for a place to hide. He didn’t want to be seen, not yet, or at all if he could help it. He scrambled quickly under the monstrous bed, keeping his breathing as quiet as possible. He could hear Sky above him starting to shift, settle for a moment only to start moving again. His heart clenched when he heard a sharp intake of breath and a whimper. He was hurt. Legend felt his fingers curl on the floor in front of him and he grit his teeth, forcing himself to stay where he was. There was more movement albeit slower, clearly pained and struggling. The springs on the bed creaked and he heard a breathless gasping.
“Come on Sky, you gotta get moving, you can do this,” He heard Sky whisper, clearly struggling just to move. He couldn’t stay under the bed, it was too much, he had to do something. He dug in his cloak, pulling out the tin and as quickly and quietly as he could pulled himself out from under the bed and placed it on the table with a soft clink. He dropped back down to the floor, shoving himself back under the bed and waited, breathless.
All sound stopped, the air went heavy and for a moment he swore he had been caught. Slow movement, a suppressed sound of pain and he could see Sky’s hand appear over the side of the bed and grabbed at the tin. Another pause and he swore Sky could hear his heart beating, Legend was sure of it. Then the sound of the lid of the tin being pulled away, followed by another tense pause. “Hello? What is this… What on Earth… How?” Sky’s voice was just barely above a whisper, but even that was enough to have him nearly shooting out from underneath the bed just from the stress alone. He took a few calming breaths, or at least he tried given his want of being unseen. As it was he felt like he could barely draw any breath to keep his head from spinning. Just hearing Sky’s voice after what felt like ages made him want to forgo his plans of simply observing but he already knew he was pushing his luck. There was another pause, shorter this time but still long enough to have him squirming.
“Am I about to be struck by lightning or something?” Sky said and the pure confusion and bafflement in his voice coupled with the insane question almost forced a snort out of Legend. He clamped a hand around his mouth to stifle any noise and continued to wait. He severely hoped Sky could get the damn bottle out of the tin, it had been a very tight squeeze and from what he heard from above him it sounded like he was struggling just to sit up.
What proceeded was a lot of frustrated noises and the sound of his tin being battled to release the bottle. He would have laughed if he wasn’t on the edge of his seat. He heard the tin give a final muffled groan and pop. Sky must have gotten the bottle out of the tin, that was good. There was a long pause as Legend assumed that he drank the potion judging by the sigh of relief he heard.
After a moment he heard a soft click as the tin was replaced delicately on the side table before a hand reached down and grabbed boots off of the floor. He felt his breath catch at just how close Sky’s hand had gotten to him. Not too long after he was graced with those same boots hitting the floor just in front of his face. It was almost painful to see how hesitant he was to move away from his place by the bed. Even worse when Sky finally reached the door and opened it. He seemed surprised and Legend felt himself boiling. He knew logically that Dark must have had him locked away at some point, but still it angered him.
As soon as Sky left the room he was scrambling his way out from under the bed and grabbing his tin back from the side table. He was about to leave when he paused and looked behind him at the gigantic bed. He grabbed his sword with a smile and in a few deft movements slashed the curtains to shreds and sliced the various poles in half. His petty revenge done for now he stowed his sword away and padded quietly after Sky, keeping to the shadows as he did so. He just managed to see a flash of his black tunic round a corner and he followed quickly, not wanting to lose him in the mess of halls.
Turn after endless turn had him grinding his teeth in frustration at how large this damn castle was. It was endlessly frustrating and he struggled to stay quiet and keep his patience as he followed. He rounded one turn and cursed coming way too close to Sky for his comfort. Sky was stopped at what looked like a giant set of doors. Curiosity beat out his caution and he moved closer to see what had Sky’s full attention. Carefully, still shrouded in shadow he looked through the crack at the door’s edge and saw... Well he didn’t know what exactly besides roiling coils of shadows and a fancy looking table with chairs around it. There was food on the table, he shot a glance at Sky and moved just a bit closer. Then he could see it, what had Sky so enraptured, it was Wild sitting in one of the chairs that lined the table. Something large with glowing eyes loomed over top of him, it had large lamp like eyes and he could see shadows curling up and around him, twisting through his golden hair, keeping his head tilted back. Legend watched in horror as Wild gave a jerk in his seat and from the corner of his eye he saw Sky recoil and grab what looked like a small knife from his boot.
He bit his lip, no he wouldn’t be that foolish. He was proven otherwise however as he saw a determined look cross Sky’s face. Nope, he couldn’t let Sky do something this stupid, he could see that he was about to rush in, knife swinging and more than likely get beat down by whatever the fuck that thing was. He made his way from around the door as Sky tossed the knife in the air and caught it and started in the room. Before he could think better on it he grabbed Sky’s arm and yanked him back before he could do something stupid and possibly get them both caught. He heard Sky suck in a breath and he clamped his hand around his mouth as he moved them back into the hallway. Sky started to lash out with his knife and Legend struggled to avoid being sliced as they moved. He cursed a quiet streak and bent down to get closer to Sky’s ear. “Fucking stop, stop you bird brain,” He hissed and it was like he cast a spell. Sky’s knife wielding hand froze and he stumbled along with him as he moved them further down the hall and hopefully out of ear shot of whatever the fuck that thing was. “Legend?” Sky breathed once he let go of him. Sky’s eyes were wide and obviously confused but to Legend’s massive relief it seemed it was only Sky in his eyes, nothing of the dark magic that had controlled him back at the spring. He rubbed his face and paced around a bit, this was not what he had planned at all when he came in here.
“We have to go save Wild, Dark is torturing him!” Sky said and he made to turn to run back but Legend grabbed his arm and hauled him back. “Don’t be stupid, there isn’t anything we can do,” He said, hating how true it was.
“But we can’t,” Sky started but Legend only shook his head harder, refusing to let him go.
“We have to, I don’t like it either but it’s just us and we are basically powerless here. I have next to no weapons, you drank my red potion, and I don’t know if you realize this but you are also still a wild card.” He said and had to look away from the scornful look Sky gave him. “It was a huge risk showing myself to you Sky, I don’t know when or if you are going to…” He trailed off, finally letting go of Sky and pacing away. Saying all of it out loud only proved to him how far up shit’s creek he actually was. “Why and how are you even here?” Sky hissed, still clearly angry but Legend wasn’t sure if he was angry at him or at the current situation. He turned back to face Sky and raised his wrist showing off his bracelet that glinted in the torch light.
“I got here using this, I can slip through the cracks between worlds with it and that is how I got here,” He said simply and watched as Sky eyed his bracelet with curiosity.
“As for why, I needed to do something. I couldn’t just sit at camp twiddling my thumbs, I was going mad. We have been taking too many hits, being toyed with too much. We need information, we need you two back but, I don’t know how to do that,” He admitted sourly and let his arm drop to his side. Sky was eerily silent through his whole tirade and Legend watched as he looked at the floor, considering. “You’re right that you can’t trust me. But for now I am on your side and I want to help.” He started and Legend gave him a soft sigh. “Thanks, to be honest I don’t know what this place is, it is clearly Dark’s world but I would have thought he would have been… I don’t know, more aware that I was here,” Legend said, putting his hands on his hips and looking around the dark corridor. Sky nodded along with him as he too looked around. “I agree, normally he knows everything that I am doing. Or failing that he shoves me a locked room or this last time chained me up with no way to get free. I definitely would have been feeling his slimy thoughts pressing on me at the very least, but nothing.” He said and started to walk around. Legend raised an eyebrow. “Maybe he is spreading himself too thin? He can’t fuck with us and keep you under control and do whatever he is doing to Wild at the same time, it must be too much to focus on,” Legend said and shot a look down the hall from where they had just come. “So then what does that mean for us?” Sky asked and Legend looked at him. “I say it’s time for some recon, look for weapons, information maybe even a way out of this hell hole,” He said with a smile. “But I don’t even know where anything is, I haven’t seen much of anything since I’ve been here. Most of my time was either in a dark room or hunting Wild,” Sky said softly and Legend could hear the guilt in his voice. “Hey, none of that is your fault okay?” He said walking over to Sky and grasping his shoulder with his calloused hand. Sky gave him a small nod and winced.
“What’s wrong?” he asked and Sky held up a finger, his eyes closing as he breathed through his nose.
“Headache, I think whatever Dark is doing with Wild is coming to an end for the day,” He said and gave Legend a terrified look. “I don’t want to be a puppet anymore Legend, please,” He begged and Legend could only bite his lip. His heart broke seeing Sky like this. Sky made another pained noise and gripped his head and shivered. Legend looked around desperately for, hell he didn’t know what but he looked anyway. “Fucking hell,” He cursed and grabbed Sky’s shoulders forcing his eyes to meet his own. They looked panicked and scared, but he toughened his resolve and he gave the best smile he could manage.
“Listen to me Sky, you are going to be alright. I will be here even if you can’t see me and with any luck since Dark doesn’t know I’m here I shouldn’t be caught,” He said quickly and looked down the hallway once again. “But he can see my thoughts, Legend,” He groaned and that had Legend biting his lip. “But he won’t be looking for any signs of me, it will be okay,” He said and he hoped by the grace of the Goddess that he was correct. Sky let out a little moan and sank to his knees and Legend followed him down, keeping close. Something like a determined growl left Sky and Legend watched as he dug in one of his pouches and pulled out what looked like a bracelet with a strange looking beetle attached to it. He was shoving it onto Legend’s hands before he knew what was happening and gave him a stern look. “This is my beetle, it can scout things out for you if you can’t leave the shadows and grab things you wouldn’t normally be able to reach,” Sky said and groaned as he clutched his head. Legend barely had time to stow it away in one of his pockets before Sky was getting to his feet. Gone was the panic and pain and in its place was a steely determination. Legend scrambled to his feet as well and looked to Sky who was looking down the hall and to the hallway behind him, already considering the shadows to hide in. “Do not try to interfere Legend, please. No matter what you see okay?” Sky said without looking at him and he started his way back towards the dining hall. Legend didn’t respond but he already knew that was going to be a tough ask. He found himself grinding his teeth but he followed behind as close as he dared. He studied Sky’s ridged form as he walked, something about it was odd to him and it wasn’t until they rounded the corner that he understood why. Sky didn’t have his sail cloth. It made him angry in a way he hadn’t expected. He knew it was Dark’s doing, but he didn’t know what he had done with it, maybe he could get it back. But that would have to wait, he could see shadows boiling out from the doors of the dining hall and he could feel his palms starting to sweat.
He pressed closer to the wall and moved so he was partially covered by a door. Sky looked at the shadows with a dull expression, his arm hung down at his side and he looked as docile as a cat. The shadows pooled like a chuchu outside of the door and slowly pulled itself upwards and formed into a familiar shape. “Oh I think I’m going to have a lot of fun with that one,” Dark said as he tilted his head and cracked his neck. He put his hands on his hips, and that simple motion somehow looked like an eerie parody. “I see you are… Having fun,” Sky said and Legend could hear the strain in his voice. There was a very obvious hesitance as well, like he didn’t know what he could say that wouldn’t set off the fiend in front of him. Dark only hummed, his shadows licking around his feet as he cast his eyes back towards the dining hall. “I would have had more fun if the bastard would have opened that damn slate of his,” He grumbled and Legend felt his blood boiling. The tone was entirely too casual, it was like the fucker was discussing the weather. He watched as Sky’s hands gave a twitch and felt as his eyes passed over him as he scanned the hall lazily.
“Not as easy as you thought huh?” Sky said and Legend felt as though he were poking the bear on purpose. He didn’t understand why though, why would he want to get himself into trouble? “Someone is feeling defiant again,” Dark sighed and stepped forwards menacingly. Legend had to stuff his angry growl down and practically cling to the wall to keep himself out of view. When Dark got close enough to Sky he eyed him up and down considering.
“You know, maybe it’s not defiance I’m seeing,” He purred and Sky still looked unfazed. His eyes were distant and his breathing was disconcertingly slow and deep. Legend wondered if he were in some sort of trance.
“I know, you must be jealous. Maybe even a bit lonely. You poor thing,” Dark said and that got Sky’s jaw to tighten. Legend was right behind him, he wanted nothing more than to just strike the thing down now. Suddenly Sky let out a cry of agony and crumpled to the ground, his hands covering his ears as if there was a loud noise. Legend felt himself judder forwards, ready to leap in but remembered his earlier promise. Biting down hard on his lip he stayed his hand.
“I say we get you some friends then. How about that?” He asked in a sing-song voice and Sky curled tighter on himself. Legend could just make out a low groan of misery and his hand clawed at the ground in front of him.
“I know a couple of them aren’t doing well right now,” Dark continued to muse as he walked around Sky. Every now and then he would click his fingers and pull another howl out of Sky as he writhed on the ground.
“The traveler would be fun. He is barely alive as it is so it wouldn’t be hard.” He paused in his musings and added, “it would also piss off that foolish veteran, and that is endlessly entertaining.” He said with a laugh and Legend swore he saw red. He didn’t know how he kept himself still, how he didn’t say a word at the taunt. He knew he promised but he would be damned if he didn’t want to kill Dark now and call it done.
“But you know the Wolf would be even better, our little Wild child in there adores that one,” He said, his voice high and excited like he was discussing what kind of dessert he wanted.
“You know what, you can come with me!” Dark said and clapped his hands in excitement.
“You could pick and then we can laugh and make it a party, how does that sound?” He asked and knelt down next to Sky. Whatever he had been doing to him had finally let up and Sky was left curled on his side, one hand clamped down over his ear while the other was clawed in the carpet. “I hate… You” Sky breathed out and Dark shook his head and patted his shoulder.
“That was mean, but you know what I forgive you,” Dark said as he stood up straight and kicked out. His foot connected with Sky’s shoulder, sending him flipping onto his stomach.
“Get to your feet sky child, or do I have to spend more time with your little friend?” He asked and Legend wanted nothing more than step in. Sky sucked in a shuddering breath and pulled himself on to his feet.
“That’s what I thought.” He said and moved in closer. Dark’s hand fisted in Sky’s tunic. He tried to squirm but a hissed threat that Legend couldn’t exactly make out had him stop his feeble struggling.
“Let’s go and get some friends huh?” Dark asked and with a sickly sweet voice that made Legend’s skin crawl. Sky didn’t make a sound, but Legend could see that he wanted to in the set of shoulders. Dark took that as a confirmation and he snapped his fingers. Legend could feel a sickly magic pour over him. It made his stomach flip and churn and he nearly toppled over with how powerful it was. There was a sound of a chime or maybe a bell and just as quickly as it started it stopped. He felt like the air had been punched out of him and he leaned against the wall to catch his breath.
“Holy sweet Hylia” He breathed when he finally got his breath back, and he looked around the door. They were gone and he really didn’t know how Sky could stand the feeling of being suddenly portaled away. He remembered what it was like when he had traveled with Wild’s sheikah slate and somehow he knew that whatever Dark was doing had to be much worse.
He shook himself from his thoughts and darted out from behind the door. He was alone for now and it was time to take full advantage. He poked his head in the dining hall and looked around before he deemed it safe enough to go inside. He looked over and saw what must be Wild slumped forward in one of the chairs and he made his way over to him, careful not to touch anything as he did so.
Wild was breathing very heavily like he just got done fighting a horde of monsters and Legend could see that he was shaking as well. Legend lifted his head and looked over Wild’s shoulder and spotted Wild’s own sheikah slate sitting in front of him. He took another step closer and looked down to see that Wild was bound to the chair with what looked like vines, but they were carved out of wood. Wild’s arms and hands were freed however but he kept his fingers clamped around the arms of the chair. He was scared to look at Wild’s face. If he was awake and Wild saw him he wouldn’t know what that could do to Wild’s psyche. Especially since he wouldn’t be able to release him, not if he wanted to stay in the shadows and observe and not tip off Dark that he was here.
He felt thoroughly stuck. His feet felt rooted to the floor with indecision. He looked to the doors once again, more than tempted to slip out unseen. Content with the knowledge that Wild was still breathing but a hitching breath stole away his own. His eyes snapped back to Wild and he heard him continue to draw in more half choked breaths.
“A family,” Wild whispered and Legend heard the half choked sob that was there. Wild continued to take in weak and shuddering breaths and Legend realized that he was trying to soothe himself. He felt his hand reach out, horror and the blind need to comfort making him want to act.
Wild let out a strangled cry and swiped his arm across the table, sending his slate flying off of the table to clatter onto the floor in front of him. He looked down at it for a moment before letting his hand drop. He couldn’t even pick up the slate, knowing full well that Dark would realize something was amiss. He wanted to rage, so close but still too far to do anything of use except watch. Wild seemed to calm though, or something close to it. He settled back against the high back of the chair and simply went still. Legend sorely wished he could walk around and see him, check on him but as it was he wasn’t sure what would happen. It was clear that Dark had been doing something involving memories. No. The risk was too big, if Dark could show old memories then there was an equal opportunity that he could search through new ones. He made a promise to Wild that he would be back, to keep him safe the best he could. He sighed and looked back to the doors before heading back out into the halls to look around and hopefully find a crack that he could use to get back to the others. This whole situation was simply too big for him to do alone and basically weaponless.
“I’ll get you out of this kid,” he muttered and felt a new purpose enter his step as he started down the hall.

The Sylvain and Dimitri arranged marriage stuff made me think of a claude version of it. Maybe an AU where Claude never came to fodlan and reader has to marry the prince/king of Almyra to improve countries relationships. Anyway seriously love your stuff thank you so much for the content!!
Oh hoo Anon, this is a wonderful take on the concept. Let's see what I can whip up for us~
((side note I feel like we never learn whether Almyra speaks a different language from Fodlan?? But being multi-lingual is sexy so idgaf))
((And also I used Bengali for Almyran because I have Bengali family and the language is so beautiful even though the english alphabet phonetic spellings are weird af))
Claude x Reader - Arranged Marriage
NSFW 18+ (like only towards the end tho idk)
Overall, you do what you can to stay out of the way. You'd been sent to Almyra as a symbol- a token, more than anything else. Now that you were in King Khalid's possession, very few throughout the castle paid you any particular mind. You were provided for, of course. Anything you cared to ask for was given. But you didn't speak a word of the Almyran language, and those who bothered to use what they knew of Fodlan's to communicate with you seemed to view you as a pet to be kept safe and healthy, and little else.
By week's end, there was to be a lavish banquet in honor of your union with the King- though of course, your input on the proceedings is entirely unwanted. In some ways, Almyra is quite similar to Fodlan. Court life is much the same. As you wander through the royal gardens, wondering at a range of colorful and exotic flowers you'd never heard of, let alone seen, a voice speaks smoothly behind you.
"Did you know you can actually eat the petals of this particular flower? They're very sweet."
You whirl around and nearly bump into King Khalid. You're about to stammer out an apology, but he reaches out and plucks a single white petal and holds it before your lips.
"Go on, I think you'll like it."
Whatever possesses you to eat a flower petal from this man's hand is something you'd rather leave unexamined for the time being- but he is right about the flavor. It's sweet, but not overly so, and quite pleasant.
"Hm! Yeah, it's nice," you say, then glance up at him as another thought occurs to you that you'd considered once or twice before, "You speak the language of Fodlan very well, my Lord."
"I'm flattered," he says with a disarmingly handsome smile, "and please, just Khalid. I don't think I could bear to have my own wife stand on such formality with me."
He says it so naturally, as if you'd been planning this union for years. Though, once again, he's right. This is only perhaps the dozenth time you've exchanged words, but you are wed, and you ought to get used to addressing him as your husband.
"Khalid..." you say tentatively, "Did- did you need something from me? I hope I wasn't too much trouble to find."
"Not when you find such pleasant places to hide," he replies, still wearing that easy smile, "but to be honest, I was actually hoping you'd accompany me for the day. I can finally afford to take a bit of time away from the castle, and I think you and I both would appreciate some space to breathe. What do you say?"
Correct once again. You nod, and take the arm he offers you. As he leads you out from the gardens, he points out a few more plants native to your new homeland. They're incredibly varied, each more strange and vibrant than the last. All the while, he's somehow made you feel as though you're chatting with an old friend. You leave the gardens and wander towards the area you vaguely recall to be designated for horse stables and wyvern stalls.
From there, a few things happen in sequence. Khalid asks if you're afraid of flying. He asks if you trust him to hold on to you. He helps you up onto the saddle that seems impossibly high up on its own right, and then, you're propelled into the air with a force your body has never felt before. You tense and shrink back against his chest, clinging to whatever part of the saddle you can find purchase on for dear life. Up here, it's difficult to pick up, but you feel your husband laugh behind you, then his strong arm wrap around your waist.
"Relax, I won't let anything happen to you," he says against your ear, his voice sure and steady, "I've got you."
And it takes a few miles of flying and a lot of Khalid distracting you by pointing out different buildings and shops along the streets below, but eventually, you do manage to relax- at least a little.
The castle town is positively buzzing with activity. Even from your distance in the sky above, you can see clusters of people moving around each other like fish up stream, and even hear the faint echoes of a merchant advertising goods.
"It doesn't seem at all like the Almyra we're taught about in Fodlan."
"Oh, it is," Khalid assures you with a bemused chuckle, "But it's also much more. I imagine it's the same for your people. There's a lot we can learn from one another, I think."
By the time the sun is high in the sky, you've passed the most densely settled part of town and are gliding over farmland and the occasional pocket of forest and rivers that split and cross through the earth like veins. Though, the warmer climate of Almyra will still take some getting used to, and it seems your husband considers this.
"Let's land for a bit and find some shade,"
You nod, and he directs his wyvern to begin a slow descent.
The King had thought of everything for this little day-trip, it seemed. Having evidently packed everything you'd need in the saddlebags on his steed, you now recline beside him on a plush blanket in a clearing amidst the trees. A small brook bubbles down from stone to stone in small waterfalls beside you, and the air feels positively alive with birdsong and rustling leaves, all foreign to you and all part of your new home. And so is he, you think as you glance over at the handsome figure of your husband beside you.
You'd been sitting in a comfortable quiet, munching on a couple of very dense pastries which Khalid had told you incorporated an extract of the flower you'd sampled earlier. He gives a satisfied sigh as he finishes his first and lies back on the blanket, taking in and savoring a deep breath. As you finish the last bites of your own treat, you reflect on the day thus far. You'd learned much about the locals and their daily lives by observation and Khalid's description in such a short time, and he'd even taught you a hand full of basic words and phrases in Almyran.
"Uhm, Khalid?"
He opens one eye and gives you a sideways glance.
"It was... dhonnobad, right? Thank you?"
His smile his open and warm, his eyes practically shimmering in the reflected sunlight from the nearby brook.
"Well, we'll have to work on your pronunciation, but I'm impressed you remembered," he beckons you down onto the blanket beside him, and you follow, lying on your side as he turns towards you. You're closer than you'd anticipated, even given the limited realestate of the blanket, and you internally scold yourself for being shy about something so silly- like some naive adolescent.
"Let's try a couple more words, since you've been such a diligent student."
"Okay," you say with a smile, "try me, I'll do my best."
"Hmm..." he looks around your private clearing, then gestures towards the brook and says, "Jala"
"Jala," you repeat slowly. He nods,
"Right- that's 'water'. And, uhm..." he points toward a patch of wildflowers at the edge of the brook, "Phula. That's 'flower'."
Again, you repeat as best you can, and though you know your pronunciation must be off, he's encouraging nonetheless. Then, he leans in towards you, and brings his free hand to your cheek, his fingertips brushing your skin lightly.
"Now try sundara."
"... Sundara?" you make an attempt, and you're sure you got something about that 's' sound mixed up, but Khalid just gives you a slanted smile. He doesn't clarify at first, so you ask, "What does that one mean?"
His fingers slowly weave back into your hair, and his voice is low and soothing as he replies,
"That means 'beautiful'."
Your face warms immediately, but you hardly have a moment to feel bashful about it before he presses his lips to yours, kissing you slow and deep. His movements are effortlessly sensual, pulling you towards him and sending your pulse pounding through your veins. You part your lips to him almost instinctively, and the way he uses his tongue is sparing, but oh-so effective. When he finally pulls away, your head is spinning and it's all you can do to meet his gaze.
"So... that's how they kiss in Almyra." you say, barely above a whisper. Khalid smirks and turns you onto your back, sliding an arm around your waist.
"Oh, no- there's no tradition in this, only skill."
Goddess- if they'd warned you of the King's supernatural charms, you wouldn't have believed them. But now his lips are on yours once again, and he's holding your body to his, and you can't think of anything else. Your arms drape across his shoulders, and faster than you can track, your bodies have met in a tangled, impassioned embrace. It was hard to imagine that mere kissing could feel so erotic, but something about his pace, about how his lips and hands move in tandem, about how thorough he is in exploring you, makes you feel like it would be only natural to give yourself over to him completely.
His kiss travels along your jawline up to the shell of your ear, where he nips briefly, then murmurs,
"I was hoping to apologize for how little time we've had to get to know each other before today," you bite at your bottom lip as his hand slides down to the curve of your hip, "if that would be pleasing to you, my dearest wife."
"Ye- yes..." you sigh into the open air as his lips reach your neck. The single word is all either of you need. He never stops pressing lavish kisses to your lips and neck as he pulls your clothing out of his way. By the time he's satisfied, your clothes are draped off your arms and pooling around you on the blanket- and he doesn't seem to care to remove them entirely. He has a goal in mind.
Slowly, painstakingly, he makes his way down your body. You feel him everywhere- hands tracing and memorizing your frame, breath hot across your skin as his lips spoil you with adoring kisses. Soon enough, he's kissed his way to your lower stomach, and he urges your thighs apart beneath him. You suppress the instinctive wave of embarrassment at being exposed to him for the first time- he is your husband and your King, afterall- but then, his head dips down towards your plump lower lips, and your mind goes white.
"Khalid-!" you gasp out as his tongue trails coyly up the crease of your folds. He hums contentedly, and places a disarmingly chaste kiss to the soft skin. Then, his thumbs gently spread you open for him, and your entire body burns while he takes a moment to merely admire you- your pretty little hole already wet, your clit already hard and flushed dark. When his head lowers once more, his green eyes meet yours steadily, as though to promise without words to be good to you.
And in a moment, his mouth begins to gently tease your clit, and your head tilts back on the blanket. Your hips jerk just a bit with each pass of his tongue across the sensitive bundle, and occasionally you can't hold in a gasp or whimper of pleasure. This only encourages him, of course. The more you moan and sigh, the more dedicated he becomes to your body. He presses himself more firmly to you, his lips surrounding your clit and the surrounding tender flesh, and he suckles on you, licks you, kisses you. You don't know when it happened, but your hands are at the back of his head, fists tangled in thick brown hair as he diligently works.
The unbearable tension is winding tight and anxious in your lower body- you know he'll drive you to climax before long, and the mere thought feels like falling in love. And then Khalid moves lower, and his tongue dips inside of your entrance. You gasp and unwittingly tug on his hair- but he certainly doesn't seem to mind. With a lustful groan, he presses more firmly to you, truly buried against your body as his dexterous tongue curls upward, stroking the vulnerable spot behind the nerves of your clit.
"Khalid!" this time it's nearly a scream, and you're grateful that your voice is lost in the surrounding foliage. Your thighs begin to shake, and your hands release him to instead clutch the blanket behind you. And at last, with a whimper in a voice you hardly recognize, your lower body floods with soaked warmth as your orgasm sweeps through you. Panting, twitching, you moan out for your husband over and over, until finally, the wave begins to subside, and Khalid pulls away to position himself above you on all fours.
"That's a nice expression..." he says with a grin, directing you to look at him with a hand at your chin, "I hope I'll get to see it often."
When your eyes finally refocus, you look up at him somewhat apologetically,
"I should... attend to you."
He laughs and kisses your forehead,
"There will be time for that tonight, don't you think? Once we're a bit more... put together," he says with a glance at your bare form, "we should head back to our ride. I'll bring you back to the castle, and we'll get the cooks to prepare something very 'Almyran' for you."
You nod- it probably wouldn't do for the first time with your Lord Husband to be mid-day in the woods. Though he'd certainly failed to make it seem unappealing.
"And then," he goes on, bringing a finger to trace the curve of your bottom lip, "Well, maybe we'll excuse ourselves to our bedchamber a bit early this evening, and we can continue this little... cultural exchange."

The holidays were over but the cold weather remained. Sitting outside the stairs of the castle entrance, you rubbed your hands together as more snow started falling from the sky. Everything in sight was white and brought you comfort that only the purity of snow could. All one color, cold enough to burn your skin if you played with it for too long, so beautiful yet so dangerous. You were tempted to bury your hand in the small mountain next to your feet.
But the cold hitting your face brought you out of your haze.
“Hey!” you squealed, your voice high from the cold snow sticking to your cheek. You brought your hand up to your face with half a smile as you turned in the direction someone hit you, your smile full once you saw your attacker.
“You were almost drooling over the snow there.” Sirius said with a grin “Thought maybe I would give you what you wanted.”
“Not funny.” you told him, sticking out your tongue in his direction as you cleaned the melted snow with your sleeve.
“Your face says otherwise.” he pointed towards you, your smile permanent on your face as he walked closer “Besides, I think James and Peter found it hilarious.” he said, his hand rising over your shoulder and behind your back.
“Oh yeah, I bet this is all really amusing for them.” you laughed, waving a hand in their direction as Remus was the only one to wave back, the other two still laughing. You could swear they put something in their food, they always had smiles on their faces and life wasn’t that funny. At least not yours.
You patted Sirius in the arm, capturing his attention immediately “Watch this.” you said, pulling your wand out of your pocket with the most discreet movement. You pointed towards the small mountain of snow where you sat before, murmuring the spell under your breath as it slowly levitated from the ground. You had your entire focus on the spell, your face contorted with concentration as you moved the snow in the air, missing the amazement in Sirius’ face as his eyes gleamed with awe. The snow carefully flowed above the heads of James and Peter, the small flakes you couldn’t keep in the air falling right over Remus’ hair, his grin wide as he saw you, he took a careful step back just right before the snow fell.
Their screams filled the entire courtyard, the two boys buried as their faces emerged from the snow. They looked everywhere, confused faces taking glances at every voice that filled the courtyard with no luck. No one pranked the pranksters, but Sirius had taken hold of your shoulders in time to turn you and make it look like you had been talking all along.
“Thanks.” you giggled, moving your hair out of your face.
“They’ll get you for that once they found out it was you.” he warned, his smile never leaving his face.
“You’re telling them?” you asked, fake hurt filling your face as you placed a hand over your chest “Here I thought we were friends.”
His eyes widened in surprise, his smile falling slightly for a more genuine one “Are we now?” he asked with some amusement.
“Y/N.” you closed your mouth as soon as you heard your name being called, hiding your blush by turning in their direction with a tight smile “The train just got here.” they told you with a smile, continuing their way inside the castle as you turned to Sirius.
“I have to go.” you whispered to him, squeezing his hand once in response to his nod. You didn’t wait to hear if he said anything, knowing you would be fighting yourself to stay or start running towards the station.
And Sirius watched you go, a smile on his face as he turned back to his friends. They were all getting the snow off their heads, murmuring about their secret prankster “We’ll get ‘em. Just wait.” said James with a glint in his eyes.
Remus was the first to notice Sirius, looking over his shoulder to find you nowhere in sight “Where did she go to?” he asked, helping Peter to his feet.
Sirius shrugged his shoulders, taking one look back before he murmured “Regulus just got back.”
*******
You were running to the station, footprints left on the snow every step you took. Once there it was a sea of people, standing on your tiptoes to find black hair and storm grey eyes. He shouldn’t be that difficult to find, he was tall and had a posture that screamed to be seen. Still you couldn’t find him.
You avoided all the people standing there. Some collected their belongings, others greeted their friends with hugs and pats on the back, some walked in the opposite direction you were headed. And at last, on the last door on the far end of the train you saw him, suitcase in hand as he closed the door behind him.
You didn’t wait for him to see you, didn’t stop to yell his name or to announce yourself. You just ran.
Your body clashed against his as you wrapped your arms around his neck, only his fast reflexes as a seeker in the quidditch team allowing him to properly catch you without tumbling to the floor.
Your laugh was a melody to his ears, his arm tightening around you as he realized he was back beside you. “Hello.” he whispered in your side, dropping his suitcase as he hugged you properly, his arms lifting you the slightest from the ground but enough to make you hold on tight to him.
“Hi.” you whispered back “I missed you.” you said, taking a step back.
“I can tell.” he said, holding onto one of your hands as he looked at you “I missed you too.”
You stared at each other for a moment, taking in the small changes that could have occurred in the few weeks you spent apart. Nothing had changed, really, but you still put up the act to look for something. He saw nothing in you but your usual confidence and light air, you had a smile on your face that lightened the weight in his heart and that’s really all he needed. You saw him like it was the first time, all those months ago in the library when you bumped into him. He stood tall and with a perfect look on his face, but you could still see through him, now more than before, and he had something to him that wasn’t right. You suspected he was tired from the train and all he needed was a good night of sleep.
“C'mon,” you tugged on his hand, circling your arm around his as you both started to walk, “Hogwarts is not the same without you.”
“I’m sorry I didn’t answer all of your letters.” he said suddenly, his eyes looking straight ahead “But for someone who was completely bored and had nothing to do, you did write a lot. Every day in fact,” he said, looking at you with a small smile “Multiple times a day, I would say.”
You gasped loudly as you turned to look at him “I did not.” you defended yourself “It was just a couple of letters, besides, that was at first.”
“Right, your letters did lower in number by the end. You found something to do?” he asked.
Yeah, I spent time with your brother and his friends, that's all. Oh, how’s that knife in your back? Your stomach turned at the feeling, guilt rising up your throat as you only managed a nervous laugh “I made some friends.”
*******
“Where are you off to?”
It had been some peaceful days but now that classes had started again, you had to go back to the fast pace of life as a student. You barely had time to be with Regulus and the fact that you had some classes apart suddenly appeared in your head as you saw the books and notes he held on his arm.
“I’ll probably just head back to the common room.” you said with a shrug “I have some reading to do and Félix needs some help.”
He raised his eyebrows, nodding his head as he looked back momentarily, lingering on a group of people walking just behind him “I’ll see you tomorrow then.” he said, not even turning back as his feet started to carry him away.
“Reg!” you called, taking his wrist in yours to stop him.
He looked down to your hand, his eyes finding yours with a frown as he stared. He said nothing.
“Are you okay?” you asked, letting go of his hand.
His eyes softened “Of course,” he said with a nod “I’m just late.”
You pursed your lips in a thin line but said nothing, nodding in his direction as he ran off. You walked in the opposite direction, your thoughts the only company you had as they circled you with no end, no rest.
Sirius’ words had been a constant echo inside your head for the last couple of days, the Regulus he knew a completely different person from the one you had come to call a friend, a part of your family. It left you restless at night to think that maybe you didn’t know Regulus as well as you thought, that maybe he showed you what you wanted to see in a friend. Then why didn’t he have more friends? Deep down you knew you were overthinking it, that Sirius had a perspective from his brother and a family scenario, not the one you had of a friend. But still it scared you, to think Regulus could be what Sirius described, what he thought Regulus was. You didn’t want to fall for his words and believe it without having tangible proof but it was undeniable that Regulus wasn’t the same person that left right after the Christmas party. He had changed, and you couldn’t tell if it was for the better.
It also didn’t help that the guilt aching inside of you was a constant reminder of you lying to Regulus. You knew you two had classes apart, you knew he had some sort of thing you knew nothing about late in the day and that you didn’t see him until the next day. You took the opportunity to meet with your new friend.
You sat on the side of the hall, the small bench cold to the touch. You waited a couple of minutes before his footsteps echoed the walls, his uniform made a mess as you lifted your gaze to him.
“Is there a tornado in the school that I need to know about?” you asked, sitting straight as you took a good look at him. His tie was undone, his shirt untucked and trying to escape the confines of his sweater. His hair was messy, hands running through it too many times to make it somewhat neater.
“No but that is a good idea,” he said, flopping down next to you on the bench. “I’ll talk to Moony about it.”
“I swear the day you explain those nicknames will be the day my soul rests.” you huffed.
“Not happening.” he sang in a mocking manner, turning to you with a pout “I apologize for your troubled life.”
You let out a groan, the curiosity killing you since the first moment you ever heard them talking amongst themselves.
“I’ll figure it out myself if I have to.”
“I really doubt it but you can try.” he said with a smile, letting out a sigh as he rested his head against the wall.
You enjoyed the silence for a moment, the peace too precious to break it. But when it became too quiet you turned to him with a questioning look.
“Are you asleep?” you asked, poking his arm.
“Nope.” he said, popping one eye open “Never better, actually.”
“You’re too calm, it’s concerning.” you told him.
He raised an eyebrow but said nothing, just chuckling as he rested his head against the wall once more.
You observed him carefully, he stifled a yawn but in the end it came out stronger, stretching his arms as his body let go of some tension. “You’re falling asleep.”
“I am not.” he fought back. He wasn’t even convincing himself.
You shook your head and jumped to your feet, taking his hands as you pulled him up. He stared down at you, the trust you had in him still amazing him after he just opened up to you and you did the same. You had stopped running from him.
“I’ll walk you to your common room.” you told him “Clearly, you do run out of energy.”
“That’s insulting.” he said, pointing a finger at you but following you anyway.
“For you, it’s a relief for me.” you said, walking the halls of Hogwarts in comfortable chatter. “What am I supposed to do with you when you’re full of energy?”
Sirius had some comments to add but he reserved them for himself, pointing the more obvious “You say that as if you were to spend time with me everyday.”
You widen your eyes, glancing at him with full shock at your own words. Maybe he wasn’t the only one tired. But he looked relaxed, a playful smile on his face. “Well,” you started, never noticing he had stopped “you never know, what if…”
You didn’t get to finish your sentence when he was beside you, sushing you as he pulled you behind a wall. He lifted a finger to his lips, looking around the corner and over your head “Someone’s coming.” he whispered, and you stiffened.
Was it that late? It couldn’t be that late for you to get in trouble for being outside. But then it hit you, the voice running along the walls as you closed your hands in fists.
“What about it?” Regulus asked, his voice unmistakable now that he grew closer to where you and Sirius hid. Sirius pulled you closer to him, trying to get you to walk in the opposite direction. And you would have.
“We don’t don’t want anyone thinking they are above their place, Black.” said an unknown voice, but that had no relevance to you.
You stayed put in your place, feet glued to the ground as the words reached your ears. Nothing could move you, Sirius’ words were a murmur in the background, his tugs in your hand a breeze you could barely feel.
“No one will think that.” they had stopped, their voices put and not growing any closer “Can you make sure it stays that way, Malfoy?” Regulus said the name with disdain and you couldn’t see him, but you were sure he just had lifted his chin, his face completely neutral as he stared down this Malfoy person.
“Y/N, we have to go.” Sirius said, his eyes begging but you shook your head. Standing flat on the wall, he had nowhere to go but beside you, placing his body right next to yours as he held your hand to try and convince you to leave with no avail.
“We all know who the problem is here.” said Malfoy again, a step echoing the hall as there was no other sound “Your little Ravenclaw friend is getting too confident.”
Your heart stopped at that moment, Sirius putting up a silent fight again for you two to leave. You let go of his hand as you turned your body completely to the sound of Regulus’ voice, your back at Sirius.
“She isn’t a problem.” he said, your eyes wildly looking for something to see that wasn't’ a stone wall.
“Y/N, isn't she?” Malfoy said “Ravenclaw, same year as you.”
“Not. A. Problem.” Regulus said again, and then your heart broke.
“She’s a half-blood. She’s pure enough.”
Silence filled the hallway, Sirius hand back on yours as he prevented you from making a sound.
“If you’re sure.” Malfoy said, and his footsteps faded in the opposite direction.
A small sigh could be heard from where you stood, your tear filled eyes dried up in an instant as he began to move, Regulus barely visible from where you hid. But you had no place to hide a broken heart.
Your own footsteps echoed the hallway as you stepped out of your hiding spot, Sirius cursing under his breath as you stood in the middle of the hallway.
“Reg?” you called.
His body froze mid step, and then he turned around.

Vampire!Law or werewolf!Law?
Hi, hi! I used to be obsessed with vampires back then. Never seen/read Twilight, though. But still. I didn't know if you wanted something NSFW, so I included some, not that explicit just in case. I hope you like it ♥. I loved the prompt so I'd probably be extending this story, perhaps with more OS someday!.
Vampire! Law x Reader.
Countryside town AU. No gender description. Everybody is 18+. No spoilers. TW: Blood. Slightly hurted animals. Kind of blood play. Soft NSFW. WC: 4.4K AO3: https://archiveofourown.org/works/31552169
Drawing done using a base from: deviantart.com/shadow-bases
It’s a cold night, puffs of steamy air coming out from your mouth as you quickly walk to your parents’ house. The moon shines in between foggy clouds that cover a dark sky. You regret the moment when you accepted going out, plus everything around seems a little threatening. You are used to the city you were living in until now, and somehow forgot the feeling of living in your hometown. But, your old friends wanted to see you, and you couldn’t just say no.
The old town you were born in seemed to have never evolved. Since the day you left your parents’ house and moved to campus in the big city, the town has preserved its own style, the same houses, the same old shops.
Reddish dried leaves crunches under your feet, and some crickets sing in the dark. You grab your phone just to check the hour. 00:00. You are a little bit tired; you’ve been driving the whole day to get there, but even though you were exhausted your old friends insisted on celebrating your comeback to the nest.
You are about to get to your house, when a sudden noise creeps the hell out of you, but you realize it’s just a cute white cat. “Hello kitty, you scared me!”, you say as the little cat comes purring. You crouch and pet it, after all it was too cute to not play with it.
“Bepo… Bepo… where the hell are you?”, you hear a man’s voice that comes closer. “Are you Bepo?”, you ask the little kitten and try to see what his collar says. “Bepo!!, there you are!”, a young man says with a gravelly voice.
“Oh, excuse me!”, you tell him as he comes closer to grab the white ball of fur. “Oh no, it's ok! I was about to go to sleep and I was looking for him. Did you scare her/him/they, Bepo?”, he says, approaching you, bending down and petting the kitten’s head.
The clouds move allowing the moonshine to bathe his face, revealing refined face features. A straight but snub nose, white pale skin, black spiky hair that ends up with sideburns, a goatee, and intense grey eyes with very dark circles were his main features. He was the most handsome man you’ve ever seen in your life so you stay caught on his face for a little while.
A cold breeze blows your hair and somehow a chill runs through your spine, as you hear the sound of wind chimes dancing along on the front porch of a wooden house. “Do you live in this town? I haven’t seen you before… I mean, I’m kind of new into town though…” he says to you with a smile while lifting the cat on his slender, pale and tattooed hands.
You stand up and say “Oh, uhm...I’ve recently graduated so I came back to my parents’ house to work with them, I used to live here, though”. “Oh, I see! Nice to meet you! My name is Law”, he says while extending his hand to you. You hesitate for a second, but then you say “Nice to meet you Law, I’m Y/n”. You shake hands, and realize how cold his skin is, almost as if he was somehow… dead?.
The encounter is disrupted by your dad, who got worried of you not arriving at home and opened the door to see if you were coming. “Y/n! there you are!. Oh, hello young man!, How are you?”, your father says from the front porch. “Goodnight Mr. Y/sn, everything alright! What about you and your wife?” Law says waving at your dad. “She’s inside a little worried for her pancake, that I see you’ve already met!”, your dad tells him while laughing. “Dad… I’m ok, go inside, I’ll be there in a minute”, you say to him, embarrassed.
“Nice to meet you, Law. Have a good night”, you say petting the little cat. “Have a goodnight too, Y/n-ya. I hope I could see you again”, Law says, giving you a side smirk. You nod and walk away.
You flop onto your bed, tired, exhausted. You close your eyes, total darkness until… his eyes… Those crystal grey eyes are the only thing you can see, and then they turn to yellow. And you wake up with a big gasp to the smell of blood.
“What the fuck was that?”, you say, agitated. An orangey sun ray filters from the windows of your teenage years room and hits directly your face. You block the sun with your arm realizing soon it was already morning and today you start working on your old family farm as a vet.
“Good morning little pancakes!!”, your dad greets you, as well as your little brother. Your mum is cooking those delicious breakfasts you used to have when you were younger and you sit on the table, pleased and filled with your family’s love.
The day passes with you meeting all the animals on the farm, you even have to take care of a wounded horse. “Don’t worry Violet, it’s just a little blood, but your leg will be fine”, you say to a black spotted mare that has been jumping on the field and somehow hurt his leg.
At noon, your childhood best friend sends a text telling you that tonight you two should go to “Shambles Bar'' - the one and only bar that has ever been there since you were born - to have fun since it’s Friday. You agree, not because you were a fan of partying but because you missed those old days before you left for uni.
“Leeeeet’s go party like the old timeeees, babeee” your best friend shouts at you while jumping on your bed. “hahaha stop it, you are going to break the bed!!”. You both laugh, get ready and head out.
You pass next to Law’s house and try to see if he is at home, but it seems as if no one is there. “Oi, do you know Law?” you say pointing with your thumb to his house. “Law?”, your best friend asks confused, and continues, “You mean the vampire guy who lives there?, yeah. Why?”. “Vampire guy? what do you mean?” you ask, half confused, half curious. “Haha, the guys call him like this. I mean, have you seen how pale he is? and those dark circles? He looks like he is dead. Plus no one has seen him during the daytime. Ever. But how do you know him?”, she tells you. “Oh, yesterday, his cat, Bepo, came to me. He was looking for the kitty and we happened to talk”, you tell her with a tone that tries to downplay the topic. “Oh, I see. To be honest I don’t even know what he does for a living so I don’t have any more info. Maybe Luffy or Zoro know him, you can ask them tonight”, she says. “Yeah, maybe”, you say and change the topic.
A few drinks after and you and your friends are already dancing to the sound of country music and the humble light system of the old bar, when the same image of those eyes of your dreams flashes before your eyes and a sudden smell of blood hits your nose. You stand still for a moment, scared. “Babe, what is it?”, asks Nami, one of your friends there. “Uh.. n- nothing”, you say confused and keep dancing.
A few seconds later, someone is touching your shoulder from behind. Your friends stand still for a moment with a subtle scared expression, but the touch of that hand felt warm for you, even as if some type of power was running through all of your body.
“Y/n-ya?”, a well-known voice calls you, and you turn around. There he was, Law, “the vampire guy” as your friends call him. “L-Law?”, you say slowly smiling when you see his pale face. “What a coincidence, huh?. I mean the town is not that big…”, he says, and you finish his sentence with a “yeah, and this is the only bar…”. You both laugh and for some seconds your eyes are fixed onto each other’s.
“Oi, Torao! you wanna drink with us?” says Zoro, inviting Law to our table. “Yeah, thanks, Zoro-ya”, he tells him. You all sit and ask waiter Beca to bring you another round of drinks. Law sits next to you.
Sanji, another friend of yours, asks you “You two already know each other?”. “Kind of”, you say laughing a little blushed. “Y/n-ya met Bepo, first!” Law tells your blond friend, laughing.
An old song you and your friends used to dance as “your song” starts playing on the jukebox and you run to the dance floor. You can’t help but gaze at where Law is just to see if he is watching you dance. And he does, he is looking at you, with a smile on his pretty face. Your cheeks turn to red, but you are way grown up to act like a teenager, and decide to invite him to dance. You are driven somehow to him, you don’t really know why, but you are.
“Law, do you wanna dance?”, you tell him, extending your arm as you were calling him to the dancefloor. “You too guys, come here!!” Nami shouts to your friends.
Law stands up and walks to you. Smiling, he incorporates to the circle and starts dancing. He doesn’t dance well, but you just don’t care, you either after all.
A slow song starts to play, romantic also. Robin, another of your friends, tells you that the song is called “I Hear a Symphony”, and that Law should dance with you. You look at her, widening your eyes trying to tell her to stop, but Law grabs one of your hands and tells you “May I have this dance?”. You giggle a little, I mean why is he talking like a prince?, but then you just let yourself go and accept his offer.
The pale guy puts his other hand over your waist and you two start dancing to that pretty melody. For a moment you feel as if you were dancing into a castle, like in another century.
Interlocking your eyes, you start to think that coming back to your hometown wasn’t that bad and somehow you feel as if everything around you disappears. For an instant you believe to see his eyes change colors, from that crystalline grey to an intense brilliant yellowish color, but this time you don’t get scared. You feel attracted more and more to him, as if something invisible was pulling you towards him.
The touch of his hands feels cold, really cold, just like the first time… “is it because it’s almost winter?”, you think. Law is looking at your lips, neck, and something on his expression shows as if he was willing to devour you. And frankly, you too… you lost yourself looking at his mouth, he has it barely open. He has prominent canines that show through the little space in between his lips, and you remember your friend's words “the vampire guy” ...
The slow music is over, and now pop blasts on the bar. The couples part and you all come back to your table. It’s already 2 am, and you all feel exhausted from working all day - except Law, who seems to be really energetic -.
“Well, my dear friends, I’m not a teenager anymore, I think I’m coming back home now”, you inform your friends, to which some of them reply protesting and the others supporting the motion.
“If you want to, I can walk you home. I mean, we are neighbors”, tells you Law. Something inside you says “oh no darling, you are going fast”, but your mouth simply slips a “Oh, thank you, that’d be fine”.
You grab your coat, and head to the door followed by your deadly crush. None of you two say a word the first few steps. Tonight, is even colder than yesterday, but your cheeks are so red, full of blood that you don’t seem to notice the freezing breeze. “He is going to think I’m desperate, like he is the hottest guy I’ve ever met, but still… calm down Y/N”, you say to yourself, while walking thinking about what to say to break the ice.
“The moon looks pretty tonight, doesn’t it?”, he says to you, timidly. You look up to the sky and contemplate a big full moon with reddish tints on its hue. “Oh, I think it is the eclipse they were talking about on tv last night… the “red moon” ...”, you say, but got interrupted by Law, “Yeah, a “blood moon””. The way he said that, felt almost as threatening, but you look at him, and there he is, smiling at you with a friendly face.
You remember you still don’t know shit about him, so you ask him, “Oi, Nami told me you moved into town a few months ago, what did it bring you here?”. He stops for a moment, looking at the ground, but then sketching out a fake smile he tells you, “I got bored from the city, so I moved into the countryside… but to be honest I came mainly because I heard that pumpkin pies here are delicious”. You look at him, because that sounded like a terrible lie but you chose to believe it and when you were about to ask him about what he does for a living, he interrupts you, “Well, it looks like we are already home”. “Oh, yeah, I haven’t noticed, ha-ha”, you say, a little bit annoyed because you wanted to ask him more questions, but mainly sad because the walk was over.
“So… goodnight”, you say to him while fidgeting back and forth with your feet. “Goodnight…” he says. You are both facing each other, and you nor Law are moving. He got his eyes fixed on your lips, and you wish he would just kiss you.
Slowly, little by little, Law approaches his face to yours, closer, closer, until... he stops himself violently. You get scared, but you don’t move a single muscle. “Why… why you… why do you smell like blood?”, he says gasping.
“W-What?”, you ask him confusedly backing up. “You, you smell like blood… have you… your arm…”, he says, snatching your forearm. Suddenly, you remember this morning, you cured Violet, and some blood got spilled on your forearm but you washed the area and took a bath right before going out. “How did you know?”, you ask him.
He remains silent, trying to calm down. “I’m… I’m sorry I have a really sensitive nose”, he says and continues, “Why don’t you go to sleep, we can talk tomorrow, it’s pretty late now. Goodnight”. He says and runs to his house.
You are left there, and for a moment you just can’t process what just happened. “What the fuck, Law?”, you think. A cold shiver on your back announces to you, you should go back home and go to bed. There was no point in staying there.
You snuggle on your bed, still trying to understand but the exhaustion your body felt wins and you fall asleep. Again, those eyes, the smell of blood, the cold touch, you can see, smell, feel it all… “Y/n! pancake!!! wake up!!!”, you hear your dad shouting at you. You open your eyes violently, “What??? What happened dad??”. “The cattle, some… something attacked them…”, he says horrified. “What?” ...
You get dressed and run to the cowshed. A poor steer lays there, he has been attacked by some kind of animal… with fangs, and the poor thing looks like he has lost some blood. Luckily he was still alive, so you helped him instantly.
“Pancakes, what are those wounds on the neck the animal has?”, your dad asks. “To be honest, dad, I don’t know. It looks like some kind of animal has bitten the steer, but didn’t eat it… it looks like… has drunk some of his blood…”, you say to your dad astonished even more than him. “But, what kind of animal could do such a thing?”, he inquiries. “The only ones that could do it are the Desmodontinae, or vampire bats… but they are not typical in this hemisphere…
The incident quickly spread and everyone in town was talking about it. Luckily the animal recovered in a few hours, as the wounds weren’t that bad.
You can’t stop thinking about Law, and quickly you forget about the animal incident. He has been on your mind all morning, “why did he run away?” ... That afternoon you decide to go see if Law is at home, you really need to ask him about last night… Plus, deep inside you are a little bit annoyed, you wanted him to kiss you…
You ring the bell of the wooden house, but there is no answer. Since the blinds were all shut down, you think that he must be at work.
Suddenly little Bepo appears meowing from the backyard. “Hi Bepo!! Is your daddy at home?”, you ask the little cat while ruffling his head fur. The cat rubs on your leg and then walks back to the backyard, so you decide to follow him.
If Law isn’t at home you could perhaps take a look at his patio. You are curious and he represented a mystery you wanted to decode, really bad.
At first you think you’ve seen someone looking at you from one of the windows of the house, but you thought it was just your imagination. You trespass private property.
The patio showed nothing but a bucket on one of the corners, next to an old mossy bench. You follow Bepo, and as you are approaching the metal pail that has something red inside, your phone rings. “God damn!!”, you jump scared. The phone screen shows an unknown number calling, “That’s weird”, you say and pick up. “Hello?”, “Hi!, Y/n-ya, it’s me, Law. I’m sorry to bother you but I wanted to apologize about last night”. Law… LAW! You realize you are still in his yard so you quickly leave the place and start walking home. “Don’t worry, I guess it must be a little intimidating to be with someone that smells like… blood”, you say. A silence takes the call but then Law simply laughs -again, a fake laugh- and tells you that he will call you later to compensate you for last night. You agree and say goodbye.
You close the door behind you leaning over it, gasping. Your heart races. What if he knows you’ve been stalking his house…? “I’m such a creep”, you say to yourself, and go to your room.
You spend the afternoon in your backyard with your mum, October is about to end so the fall season is at its peak. Maple leaves fall from a big tree next to your porch and garnish the patio with its coppery colors.
That night, your parents and brother were invited to a party in the next town, so they won’t come back until the next day. After a hot meal you go to sleep. You haven’t received any messages from Law yet and you wonder if you should text him or just let him do it first. You finally decide that he should be texting you first, so you snuggle in bed and close your eyes. For the third night in a row, you dream with those eyes, with the smell of blood. But, this time it's so intense that you awake instantly in the middle of the night. “Again?”, you say while brushing your hand over your eyes.
Suddenly you hear something knocking on your window… “Law?!”, you say, gasping. He mimics something similar to an “open please”. Your bed is next to the window so you are still sitting there in your pjs, so you stretch to open the window.
“What are you doing here?”, you ask him while helping him to enter. Law sits on the bed and tells you, whispering “I’m sorry, I was missing you, I really, really needed to see you… plus I told you I wanted to compensate for yesterday”.
A subtle light from the moon illuminates half of your faces, and you are speechless. “So, this is how he plans to compensate for running away last night? He is on my bed… he looks so sexy… damn”, you think. But Law starts acting innocently, and begins to ask you about the trophies on your shelves.
You tell him about how good you were at volleyball when you were in high school, and he tells you that he was too. “Where did you take that picture?”, he asks, pointing to an old photo you had pinned on the cork board. “This one?” you say, and when you grab it the side of the paper cuts your finger softly but enough to make some blood sprout. “Ouch!”, you say and you are about to take your finger to your mouth when Law grabs your wrist violently. “L-Law?!! What are you doing?”, you tell him, scared trying to unfasten from his hand. Law doesn’t speak, he starts to tremble, he is breathing fast, he is squeezing your wrist.
“Let me go, Law!” you say, but he doesn’t hear. He is somehow focused on perhaps staying still, trying to avoid something. He suddenly looks at you, his expression resembles a beast, beads of sweat run through his temples. His eyes change from grey to a bright yellow, his pupils dilate. His prominent canines are now true fangs.
Law is salivating, his veins are now visible on his forehead, you can see how his blood pumps faster. You can’t understand what the hell is going on, but for some reason you don’t scream. You concentrate on his eyes, you are able to see a remaining humanity in them, so you are far from scared.
He lets go of your hand, and kneels on the floor. Law is panting soundly; he is fighting against himself. “Calm down”, you say to him. He looks up to you, with tears in his eyes, still emitting guttural sounds. He is surprised to see how your face doesn’t show terror, nor contempt. You don’t know why, but you are even more attracted to him, dangerously attracted. You were willing to let him drink your blood if he wanted to…
With a smirk on your face, you say to him, “Blood is what you want, huh?”. He opens his mouth, and a pair of sharp fangs are shown. He shakes his head, he doesn’t want to hurt you, but he needs you. “I trust you; I know you won’t hurt me. You can drink from me”, you offer him. You know he is able to stop, and somehow everything makes sense. The poor animal this morning, he has just drunk a little blood but didn’t inflict mortal wounds to it. If he was that considerate to an animal, he will probably be with you too. -Or that is what you wanted to believe-.
He swallows, and still trembles and without any warning he pounces on you. Your back hits your bed and he's over you. He fixes his eyes on yours and asks you, "are you sure about this?". "Uhum", you nod. You are so desperate for him, that you probably consider yourself a beast more than him.
Law buries his fingers on your cheeks, and violently moves your head to the side, exposing your neck. You feel a few drops of saliva that falls into your skin from his mouth, and see how he approaches your neck.
He bites you, but even if it hurts, he is drinking your blood from your carotid so subtly, so carefully. A few seconds later, he stops. Some of your warm blood runs from the wound onto your bed.
"T-Thank you…" he says, planting a soft kiss over the little holes on your skin, caressing your hair. "You are welcome", you say, almost naturally as if being bitten by some kind of beast was something you always do.
But suddenly, you start to experience some kind of pressure on your chest, and breathing becomes difficult. Your eyes roll back, and you feel different. You look at him, trying to understand what is going on, and he simply brushes his tattooed hands over your face. "Don't worry, it's normal. You are not going to turn into… me. But, a little bit of me runs through your veins now…". He says, brushing his hand over his mouth trying to clean the mess your vital fluid has left on his lips.
You are not worried about becoming into a vampire or whatever the hell he is, but because you are experiencing a strong need to touch him, to kiss him, to fuck him. "Kiss me", you command him.
He looks at you, still settled over your body and your lips meet. His tongue invades your mouth, and you can taste the metallic rests of your blood on his mouth.
Without separating your mouths helps you take off your white -blood stained- shirt and then you do the same with him. His torso shows a big design inked on his skin, and a few wounds.
His fangs subtly scrape your skin, from your neck, to your chest, lower through your stomach. He spreads your legs with his strong arms, and softly but enough to leave some marks, bites the skin of your inner thighs. The feeling of those fangs softly ripping the first layers of your skin made yourself squirm in pleasure.
His yellow eyes fix on yours, and now he is devouring your sex. You throw your head back and surrender to his skilled tongue movements. What follows next is an extremely hard pounding session, that leaves you trembling, exhausted, sore… but satisfied.
Since then, every night you let him slowly drink you up, drop by drop, giving to him a bit of your life every time. Your eyes slowly changed colors, first a little patch of yellow, then half of your right iris…
A deadly, dangerous attraction, that won’t last forever… or maybe, if you decide to let everything aside and turn into a full vampire like him… who knows? maybe your obsessive love for him would end up changing your life… forever. ♥

“Damn where the fuck is Jeno” Jaehyun Sighed as He sat on his Gold throne inside the biggest and darkest castle in the underworld. Everybody feared him and would tremble at the mention of his name.
“Hello Your grumpy Highness” Jeno Rolled his Eyes At him as He handed Him a Letter. Jaehyun Looked at Jeno and shook his head.
“You do know i can Take your life right at this very moment if you keep up that attitude of yours” Jaehyun Glared at The poor boy and Jeno just bowed and walked away.
There are Three worlds that exists. The first one is Heaven where all the Gods And Goddesses live. Second Earth where Humans And Some demi Gods Live and Lastly the Underworld Ruled By Jaehyun Where he punishes all the bad people and The Corrupt Gods And Goddesses are thrown.
Jaehyun opened the letter for it to be an invitation to the Heavenly Ball. Jaehyun receives one every year but he never once attended these kind of gatherings and he is always labeled as A VIP guest . He just thinks its a waste of time and silly but this year he wanted to Go For a change
“Hey Mark” he called Mark His Guard and Personal Assistant “Yes Your Highness” he Bowed slightly and was preparing to throw the invitation “Get dressed in The finest suit you Have..we are going to this damn Ball” He stood up and left Mark with a confused Look. “Your highness why are you going?” He asked afraid and was sweating cold sweats
“I wanted to go for a change..besides i wanna see my brothers ” he smirked as he opened the main door.
He dressed in the finest Suit that he had and his slick back hair that made him look 10x more intimidating.
Mark drove him to the venue also looking as dashing as ever. When they arrived at the venue it looked like everybody saw a ghost except for his 3 brothers ofcourse. Mark Followed Jaehyun Quietly at a distance
“FINALLY SOMEONE WENT OUT OF THAT DAMN HELL HOLE AFTER A LONG TIME” Taeyong Screamed Happily while approaching his Brother. Taeyong The God of The sky and Thunder happily approached his brother with champagne. Winwin Just sighed at the sight of Taeyong screaming so loud to the point where everybody had their eyes on them.
“Taeyong I swear to God lower your damn voice” he smacked his Brother at the back of his head
“So What made you attend this event this year My dear brother” he casually approached his brother and took a sip of his champagne.
All the Goddesses had their eyes on Him. Whispering endless thoughts and probably thirsting about how hot he is. Meanwhile all of the Gods Are starting to Fume with anger because all of the Women’s eyes were on him.
“I also dont know i felt like i needed to go here for a change” he took a sip of his champagne.
Johnny The God Of the Sun Approached Jaehyun and His Brothers
“Jaehyun im surprised to see you here my friend” he looked at him with disbelief.
Johnny and Jaehyun along with his brothers are Good Friends And they also run a business along with a few friends In The Underworld.
“Yeah i just went here for an appearance i really cant believe You attend something like this every year” he tsked and looked around the place as His brothers continue chatting With Johnny
Whispers and loud chattering can be heard. Loud music can Be Heard and the sight of Gods And Goddesses Flirting can be seen. The thought of love and flirting has never crossed Jaehyun’s mind. He had too much On his plate to be Even thinking about matters like those.
Jaehyun’s one and only rule? Never fall in Love For It will destroy you. Jaehyun saw what love did to humans and other Gods and Goddesses and he thought it was Stupid.
“Im Gonna go Out Where is The garden?” Jaehyun asked Taeyong and he answered with a smile “go straight then turn left you’ll see a glass door” jaehyun nodded and Mark followed with a glass of wine in his hands.
“Sooo are you enjoying this party your highness?” Mark asked with wiggly eyes brows
“Fuck no This was a wrong decision to come here..How are the transport on the drugs?”
“Its alright the same as usual no need to worry” as he looked up and saw bright colors and expensive gold on the ground and walls “Good Make sure Nothing Goes Wrong. Tell Jeno To Gather The Team to Monitor the transport we need to be careful this is a huge amount make sure it doesn’t Get stolen” Mark Does a bow and said “yes Your Highness” Jaehyun nodded and dismissed Mark. He Was faced With A very elegant Glass door The doorknobs made with diamonds and rubies. Slowly he Opened The Door to be greeted by The scent of Hyacinths. He slowly walked over the stone path. He Never really gets to see flowers back in The Underworld because no living thing can survive in the underworld. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ “oh My God What happened to You. You poor thing let me fix You Up real quick” You said in a concern voice looking at the dead flowers in the Garden. You placed your hand on top of the flower and used a tiny bit of your powers to heal the flowers. You smiled and giggled at the sight of healthy flowers. Yes You are the Goddess of vegetation and Fertility. You never really wanted to attend these kind of Parties. You Just feel so out of place and uncomfortable with all the people surrounding you and all. The thought of it makes you sick. You sighed as You drank Wine and slowly leaned back onto the tree. It was a nice view. The garden was filled with many green and colorful Plants. You'd really Rather spend your day here rather than talking to people. You Fished out your phone from your Pocket To call Jisung the cupid and Your bestfriend ofc. “Jisung are you really not gonna attend this event? I have no friends here seriously i was forced By Naeun That's why I'm here” You groaned when you heard Him laugh " I told You You need to stay away from that girl" He laughed even harder when he heard How annoyed You were “ Let me Guess You are either at some random room in the mansion or you are at the garden ”You did a little snap and said “BINGO! I'm at the garden " You chuckled “anyways i need to go get more wine please pick me up later" you can feel him smiling through the phone and said “okay okay ill pick u up bye” he suddenly ended the call and all you could do was stare at the phone with disbelief. "Woah I cant believe this man He suddenly - “ You suddenly turned to your side and bumped into a God...well probably the most handsome God You have ever laid your Eyes on. He shut his eyes shut and sighed. “Oh my God I'm So sorry" You panicked because he seemed like he was having a bad day and he looked so pissed at the sight of wine staining his Suit “damn Woman watch where Your Going.” As He opened his eyes you could feel his hot gaze pierce through you skull. “ I'm really so sorry about this......’’ You looked at him and gave him the “what's your name??” Kind of look. “ You don't know me??” Jaehyun asked because he couldn’t believe it. “yeah I don't know you so I uh...may I know your name??’’ he smirked and leaned down to whisper in her ears “My name is Jaehyun”
