okay i went to the gym for an hour bc my dad was like mad that i wanted to go longer but i did these rly cool things on the treadmill and i think it’s good to share
i did the 12-3-30 workout
so you set it as 2.5 incline at 3mph for 15 minutes then you move it to an 8.5 incline for the next 15 minutes !
after that i added in a brief 5 minute 2.5 mph at 8 incline i think it was
next i did the elliptical for 15 minutes and leg press for 5 minutes
doing the 12-3-30 workout is supposed to really help with weight and body fat loss so i’m really excited to do this like 3-5x a week!

Hi Mark, I saw a video recently making fun of colorless edh decks only having two themes: artifacts or eldrazi (And also Omarthis I guess, who was an interesting addition) .
What is the likelihood of more colorless themes/archetypes/strategies to spice up edh or standard, like the eldrazi were? It seems like a waste (get it) to put the colorless mana symbol on every colorless producer but never reuse it since its introduction in ogw.
I’m sure we’ll find other themes for colorless, but it’ll happen slowly.

Halcyon Druid (Druid Archetype)
(art by Zummeng on DeviantArt)
Easily one of my favorite goodly organizations in the Lost Omens setting is the Magaambya school of magic. Founded by the man who singlehandedly saved arcane magic for humanity, Oldmage Jatembe’s school of magic is the very picture of a place where the mystic arts are paired together with a righteous code of ethics and goodness.
But that isn’t the only thing that is combined there in that sacred institute, for the school is also famous for blending the arcane and divine, with many of it’s mages being able to cast druidic primal magics in addition to their arcane arts.
However, Magaambya does not merely teach the arcane arts with a smattering of the divine, they actually teach all manner of disciplines, so it only makes sense that there would also be druids that learn a bit of the arcane.
These so-called halcyon druids not only learn a few arcane spells, but they also do something very atypical for primal mages: they seek out contact with outsiders of the outer sphere, particularly celestials, and especially the animal-like agathions!
The only other druid archetype I can think of that deals with non-elemental outsiders regularly is the planar extremist, and that’s the ex-druid archetype representing those that have gone too far away from their roots and become servants of the planes rather than nature, so in order to truck with such beings while still being true druids, these mystics must be doing something very right compared to others.
As we will soon see, these mystics gain a mixture of powerful abilities from their primal, arcane, and divine sources.
Rather than form a bond to an aspect of nature or a companion, these druids instead bond with their mask, which then functions similar to a wizard’s bonded item, and can be similarly enchanted.
They are also trained diplomats, all the better to go between villages and nations to forge new bonds of cooperation and kinship.
In keeping with the blending of magical traditions, these mages can spontaneously cast spells associated with the cleric domain of Good instead of summoning allies.
They also learn a handful of spells exclusive to the arcane arts, diversifying their magecraft further.
As agents of good, these mages are especially resistant to the depredations of fiendish foes.
Finally, these mystics gain the ability to shapeshift into a form of celestial outsider based on their mask. While this is not a true outsider polymorph effect, it has the limited ability to mimic some of the iconic abilities of the major celestial types, such as the aura of menace seen in archons.
This archetype is interesting. It gets rid of wild shape and the nature bond, but replaces them with surprising spell versatility and their very own bonded item, as well as making them experts in social areas. These changes mean that you’re pretty much limited to being a back line spellcaster unless you utilize lots of buffs or use the celestial transformation from your mid-levels, but it still can be rewarding to play.
Interestingly, this archetype mentions that some members of this order wear masks resembling fiends rather than celestials, though those that do are probably more akin to gargoyles, acting as representatives of what evil looks like rather than being evil themselves. However, there is always the possibility of perhaps some disgruntled ex-student actually making pacts with fiends.
Ogwe the Crocodile is especially daring among his kin, but that boldness has led to surprising alliances in the past. Now the druid seeks perhaps his most shocking diplomatic endeavor yet: delving into the earth beneath the region to meet with a mighty vault builder, one of the legendary xiomorns, to secure peaceful relations.
Though sometimes mistaken for a rakshasa, Veldikas is every bit a mystical dilletante and social navigator. However, his true loyalties always lie with the natural world, and the fanglord beastkin wears the face of the tiger both in and out of his sacred mask, especially when the time comes to act.
For generations, the angelic mask of her ancestor has watched over Kifi’s home, protecting it. Turns out this was more than superstition, for the day the mask was stolen, her village was attacked. Though she managed to get the mask back, she discovered a divine spirit dwelling within, one that urges her to seek out the mentor that trained their ancestor so long ago.

Star Wars and languages
An imagine with Din, Obi-Wan, Poe and Boba.
Words: 1, 552k

Masterlist OGW Masterlist
Okay, so I have a question.
I know there is a Basic language in the Star Wars universe and/or some implant to provide instant translation between two species. In that case, you can't tell me that EVERYBODY speaks basic or that EVERYBODY has enough money to buy AND install an implant. Just think of the countries that have to pay for urgent medical interventions. Or where (in the same country) they speak two (or more) different languages and can have difficulties understanding each other? And think of the people on Tattooine who can't afford the implant and speak just limited basic and some cocktail of languages necessary to have a successful business. Or the people with even less connection to the commercialized area of space. I also really liked that Boba Fett needs/wants protocol droids so it can translate for him. But again, people who aren't talented with the mechanic or don't have to money to pay for them still exist. So, I thought of something: what about some Star Wars characters with a good but still not perfect knowledge of the Basic language because they come from a planet in the outer rim territories, or just because, you know, not everybody is good with languages at its a fucking complex skill to have, speaking more than one so…
Din Djarren:
Din would start a bit annoyed that his S/O has difficulties with the basic language. He thought being a bounty hunter/babysitter was already enough to deal with without needing to translate everything back to you in words you could understand and learn from.
"Mando! Where the... the... you know... *Insert word for tea here*."
"We don't have that!"
And then there's grumbling on both ends.
He would also be particularly displeased -at the start of your... relation- if you asked questions after someone just finished explaining something in a language you don't understand.
The Hapans incident was one of them. Really it wasn't your fault, hapan is a complex language, and honestly, why were you out of the ship anyway?
He also finds it cuter and cuter the way you find to describe the world around you. Especially if you're tending to the kid and babbling away about things from your homeworld. Sometimes slipping back to your favoured language as if the kid could understand. Or the way your hands fly all around you when you just can't describe a word any more than you already did before, so you're mimicking it to the best of your capacities.
"No, I know you don't sell horses. I mean the thing *hands flapping around in a circular-ish square before your face* that helps the ship fly... the rolling, running..."
"The motor." He would then say. His hands would settle down on his hips, and he'd stare at the mechanic through his visor. Daring them to laugh at your struggle.
But also, when you'd lose yourself in an explanation or a theory, talking fast as the passion comes out of you, and your eyes shining like the stars surrounding you, and you just start forgetting words because: what is time, really, when you're floating in space? Chef kiss.
"But if the Twi'lek have the courage, and the people, to rebel, why are most of them still ensla... ens... urg... offers not paid services? Why not just fight the power and be free? Why working in dez...dess.. euh... gross condition...s?"
Yeah, that'd make him fall in love even more... It doesn't even matter to him anymore. He'd just learn to live with the weird speech fluctuation between your first language and basic without a hitch.
Obi-Wan Kenobi:
Probably one of the most patient out of everyone on this list. When I tell you that this man is SOOO fine!!!!!!!!
But yeah, he'd probably translate back to you when he knows very well that the basic spoken before you is pretty specific and not necessarily part of the basics you use daily.
"It's a Delta-7 Aethersprite-class light interceptor. It has fewer internal systems, which makes it easier to control." He'd tell you in a low voice.
Now, you'd be pretty sure that the words he translated it to are far more straightforward than those the mechanic uttered with his hands flailing about, but you'd have that conversation later.
Or when you're off-world, and there is a menu that is not basic in front of you, and the guy at the cantina only speaks limited basics too. Obi-Wan will help you there too.
"And what's that?" You'd ask, pointing to the letters splattered on the pages given to your table. 'Looks like a grafitti.' Was your following mumble. You weren't too happy with your current hiding place, mainly because you seemed not to be hiding.
"It's a shepherd's pie... with chandrilian meat."
"'With what meat?' This is expensive!! We are supposed to be hiding!! Not feasting! 'You're going to kill me'.."
"I'm only joking. It's nerf stew."
He'd use your inability to speak every language possible to mess with you. All in the name of fun, of course.
In the end, he'd be pretty good at going from and to you with words and explanations, even between gentle jokes with plays of words or even full-on leading you on about something.
Now, I believe you'd somehow find a way to procure yourself a translating chip, or whatever, at some point during your relationship with Obi-Wan, but believe me when I say that this man will 100% forget and continue to translate things back to you.
"That's not what she said! She said that they'd made an arrangement so the turbo blaster turrets would rotate in two seconds instead of three and that they'd see if they can make it more precise for the closer range firing shots in the try-outs."
"I told you that exactly."
"No! You said: turrets rotate faster and shoot better at closer range. That's not very detailed..."
Somehow, while he'd try to explain himself on that belief, you get the sense that maybe he knows just enough of your language to seem knowledgable. He was just trying to impress you...
Poe Dameron:
Would one hundred percent fire you up just so you'd lose your words and starts speaking in your first language because he finds it cute. He'd purposely make you jump out of your skin, give you a good scare by creeping behind you, or pinching the soft skin of your hips to tickle you, just to hear you curse.
'Ah! Son of... if you do this again, you won't laugh for long!'
Or he'll put his hands on your shoulder while passing behind you when you don't expect it.
'You fucker!!'
Will, however, get a little bit exasperated if he has to translate long messages back to you during missions. He'll also keep upsetting information from you "for your own good." That weird impression that if you don't speak a language well, then you are some kind of childish representation of yourself is what Poe reflects on most of the time.
He does get frustrated when he's under pressure and will push you away to reduce his stress. Poe will gravitate back toward you after an hour or two of being with people that are just plain annoying for no reason.
During your free time, Poe would love to help you with your basic language classes, especially if he gets paid in kisses, but he'd also love to learn your language.
He would melt if you used your first language to tell him how much he counts for you. Domesticity done your way will be the best way to a soft Poe whenever.
Boba Fett:
"Princess, I can't understand what your saying..."
He will look at Fennec like a lost puppy until you finally get to be understood by one or the other. Fennec is actually better than him at understanding other languages. That protocol droid does come in handy when and where Boba doesn't have the time to play riddles with you.
He never has the time, except for later in the night.
Boba is the type of man that comes up with gestures to help you communicate your ideas better. It also helps when you're in crowded areas and trying to be discreet.
So what if you don't speak ubese? He'll sign you the more important things you need to know about immediately, and - if times are considerate enough, he'll take the time to translate them.
Boba is actually very patient when it comes to learning. He'll take the time you need and always circle back to you, checking if you understood the words he tells you. Or the situation you're in. He'll even make sure you're never left out in convos by always signing to you the basic information or the questions you're asked.
He likes hearing you talk in your languages, and because he's good at learning new things, he would get the basics of your mother tongue swiftly and could probably hold small conversations with you and even follow some of your rambles.
"And then Fennec was like 'whoosh' and 'plink, plink plink.' And there was a big explosion nearby, and then I swooped in, holding the bomb like you showed me and threw it as far as I could."
" I'm proud of you, Princess."

Second Spellings: Runners-Up ~
Our runners-up this week are @bergdg, @helloijustreadyourpost, and @hypexion!
@bergdg — The Great Conjuration
I don't really know where blue and green became the shapeshifteryest of shapeshifter colors (or rather, I get the gist because blue = mutability and green = nature). When you have these together, though, you get a card like this which is really damn sweet. This card obviously puts a massive target on your back, but if you go fast enough, you can ensure that the power behind your creatures can swing fully and completely. Or rather, that you have at least one explosive turn. Having all the cards be exiled can be a feel-bad, but there are great ways to exploit this and even better ways that this card is just plain fun.
For example: naming Eldrazi allows you to cast Emrakul off a Blisterpod. Honestly, do I need to name any other examples after that? I think that the only major revision I would make would be for the last ability to say "You may cast any number of cards exiled with ~ this turn without paying their mana costs." I'm not sure where you got the "one or more" wording from, but hey, that's a small issue for such a fun card. It's extremely narrow and more often than not feels like it would be a glass cannon—so yeah, perfectly reasonable for what the conjuration is implying, right? Side note: amazing art skills there. The mood conveys the gist conveys the extremity.
@helloijustreadyourpost — Sky Dancer
I like the Shakespeare reference in the flavor text, and I think it speaks to some kind of faerie perspective that's not quite translatable to human thought—or at least that feels like the intention, the way that the fae see the world. That is to say, I like both the simplicity and the ambiguity. It's actually tied with the effect for the card, which is a potentially quite powerful effect at common! I can't think of any specific effects with which it's broken, at least not at the moment.
So what you have is the ability to swing in with your fliers and then be on the defense, plus if you have any flash synergy you can utilize that to make combat harder for your opponents. All checks out. Cast triggers at common aren't the easiest to grok, but at the same time, this effect doesn't use too much complex space because of no inherent tap ability; I'm thinking of how my students sometimes get juked out with weird Thermo-Alchemist triggers, y'know. By itself, it's a card that does just what Faeries want to do at common, and I think that the only possible change I'd make would be to make it a 1/2, and even that's negligible. Solid common design!
@hypexion — Distortion Skitterer
As an uncommon? You're treading hazardous ground... But, it's a seven-mana 4/4 so that's honestly not so bad. Making additional 4/4s with trample is pretty nasty and you do get one on cast, but holy crap, that's still really fun to play, and fairly limiting all things considered. The amount of times that this would've come up in OGW limited would be pretty little, which is reasonable, but getting two of them or getting just one trigger off would be pretty nasty. Considering that MH3 is going to have even more? Wow. I think that the double-C is quite reasonable for the setup.
Honestly this card speaks for itself—the power level is comparable to the more powerful uncommons of its era, it's an Eldrazi that makes more Eldrazi, and you've got a pretty reasonable wording to show how nuts it can be. FYI, the cast trigger for other spells would actually be its own thing, e.g. "When you cast this spell and whenever you cast a spell with {C} in its mana cost..." I believe you don't have to specify "on the battlefield" because, like Cityscape Leveler, it implies the zone with the wording on the trigger. That said, it's fairly complex, so I understand if things got finicky. Flavor text is a solid B+, too! Just remember to put the period inside the quotation marks. I guess a runner-up flavor would've been Zurdi saying that they missed the scute bugs.
Commentary soon! @abelzumi

Video Game Writer: Kinky sex is when a dominatrix tells another person to submit, and then makes the "sub" (for submit, y'know?) go down on her.
Other Game Writer: Makes sense. But what if she's lesbians with another dominatrix?
VGW: Intimidation check to see who's forced to sub.
OGW: Okay, yeah, that sounds right.

How long after Oath of the Gatewatch does Zendikar Rising occur.
The Ecological recovery seems to be what would take centuries without magic. Is the magic of Zendikar enough to erase most of the damage from the Eldrazi in a couple years or does the set largely ignore the devastated areas of Zendikar?
It's about 2 years between them. There's Magic happening that's restoring everything (see: Zendikar Resurgent), but whereas in BFZ/OGW we mostly saw the devastated areas, in ZNR we've mostly seen the recovered areas, yeah. We also see mostly in and around the Skyclaves, and if you pay attention, the plane is nowhere near as lush as it once was. You have to scroll all the way down to green to get any significant amount of plant life (that's not, like, grass) in the art.

Hi Mark, with 20/20 hindsight, was the introduction of the colorless mana symbol back in ogw worth the upkeep so far, considering we barely see any actual new colorless costs nowadays?
It was worth it for the clarity between (1) and <>.
