What if I told y'all I've been thinking about adding Caoimhe to my F/O list

Like. She's gorgeous and intelligent and strong and I think she would get along well with Valerie. If she's not romantic, she's at least a close friend.

"Well, thanks again." Marvin gathers up a few papers and stashes them in his backpack, smoothing out any folded edges. "I get it now, I think."

Still needing a bit of help on his maths work is embarrassing, but luckily, Valerie never makes him feel bad about it. They're patient with him, besides when it wears thin after a long session. "Oh, it's no problem! I enjoy helping." Valerie smiles warmly, putting their backpack down next to his and sitting back down. Marvin's heart begins to pound faster. They're still smiling, snaking their arm across the back of the couch, but he's sure that something in their eyes has changed.

The boy coughs. "Do you, uh, want some food? I think Mum is working late again, I can call in some takeout if you want." That's their typical arrangement, since Val gets nervous when making phone calls. They shake their head.

"Not right now... speaking of which, your Mum forgot to pay me the last time I came over." Val shifts, their body now completely facing him.

"That sucks, I'll have to remind her. She's usually on top of it."

Still smiling, Val shakes their head at him, leaning in closer. "Well, I think it's about time that you start paying me yourself. You're the one that I'm helping, after all." They giggle, a soft, bubbly noise that makes Marvin want to melt into the floor.

"But..." Marvin chews his lip. "I don't have a job, I don't have much to pay you with."

"Oh, that's okay, everything you need to pay me-" Valerie puts a finger on his chest, slowly dragging it down. To Marvin's surprise, it stops over his crotch. "-is right here."

They can't mean...

"I don't get it," he lies. "I don't have anything in my pocket."

That makes Val laugh. "Oh, come on, we both know what I mean." They press their palm down, rubbing soft circles into the fabric. "I heard you and Sunday have been talking about me the other night. I heard all the filthy things you think about."

"That was a private conversation! And you're wrong, I don't think about you like that. I don't know what you're talking about." But his body is betraying him, his cock beginning to twitch from their touch. He tries to squirm out of their grasp. "I like you, but we're just-"

Afterwards, Marvin lies in bed, staring at the ceiling. His vision is still dotted with little white stars, chest heaving like he just ran through the entire city. Next to him, Valerie leans against him and plays with a strand of his hair.

"Did you enjoy that?" they ask quietly. "I did."

"Yeah," Marvin replies with a nod. "What we did earlier, acting like you were still helping me... That wasn't cringey, was it? I felt a little silly doing it."

"Mm, I think it's meant to be a little silly. I liked it." Val pets his shoulder, then kisses it. "I love you."

"I love you, too."
