When the BTS becomes the shot!

Caleb caught this candid of me as Craig La Mere was discussing one of his methods for lighting a subject with only one light. As most instructors do take their time to explain the techniques, we as models will have downtime (sometimes in front of the class) until we’re needed for the demonstration. As I stood there, legs shoulder-width apart, hands residing in their respective pockets, I noticed a photographer walking by the demo with their camera in hand. Through the silhouettes of attendees, eye contact was established. Then, he made a face that said, “let me get this shot,” and I obliged. Seeing the results, I’m glad we were in the right place (and had the right lighting) at the right time.

I’ve been trying to imagine a 2012 alternate universe where Donatello was not a part of the Hamato’s lives and ya’ll would be amazed at how impossible it feels to create ANY content in a realistic world where they don’t have a Donatello to provide for them.

Algea garden? Doesn’t seem like it.

TV? Lights? Any working mechanisms? Likely not.

Running electricity or water? VERY likely not.

Classic smoke bombs? Nope.

Vehicles of any sort? Nope.

T-phones or cheesephone? Definitely not.

Access to city cameras or blueprints? Heck nah.

Ability to triangulate positions of their enemies?

Homestly, if Leo could do it, he would be.

Any Kraang/Foot equipment or data at all? Forget about it!

Gliders? Nope. Rocket? Don’t make me laugh. Go-Carts? Nope.

Music player? Nope. Techno-goggles? As if. Laptop? NOPE!

Decoded Secret Messages? You’re kidding, right?

Mutagen tracker? Never gonna happen!

Hot-air balloon disguised as a water tower?! NEVER. HAPPENING!

Any sort of medicanes or cures? In. Their. DREAMS.

Those little things they slip on their hands to scale walls??? Nada!

SERIOUSLY. THESE KIDS WOULDN’T HAVE LIVED THROUGH THE FIRST SEASON WITHOUT HIM. THERE WOULD BE NO HOPE OF SURVIVAL EVEN AGAINST THE KRAANG. THERE DEFINITELY WOULD BE NO 2012TMNT. PERIODT. HE IS THE LITERAL BACKBONE THE FANDOM WILL NEVER TRULY ACKNOWLEDGE.

My beloved best friend of several years, who bought me Minecraft the winter before COVID after I mentioned I hadn’t played since before there were horses, got severely motion sick when playing minecraft for too long.

We were both aware of this, and took breaks or shortened our play sessions accordingly.

However, a few days ago, at the end of one of those sessions when my friend wasn’t feeling well, we traveled through a Nether portal.

“Have you turned off your motion effects? And the camera bobbing?”

My beloved friend, who has been playing this game more consistently for many more years than me, did not know what those were. We navigate to my friend’s accessibility settings and toggle off portal motion effects and camera bobbing.

Lo and behold minecraft is playable for my friend again. Check accessibility settings for every game you play and see what options you have. Do not suffer if you can help it 👍
