who's ur fav band rn ?

god that's a hard one. i went to check statsforspotify and the sweeney todd cast album is on it in three different ways. (I just broke free of my hyperfixation)

aside from sweeney todd, i've been listening to a lot of metal lately, namely a few local metal bands. i went to a metal concert at a bar a week ago, and I've been listening to a few of the bands' music lately.

i listen to a lot of playlists/mixes, so it's rare that i listen to just one band's discography enough for me to have a "favorite band". my primary fav genres are ethereal wave and several flavors of metal (gothic, symphonic, death metal, symphonic death metal, etc)

I like a lot of Theatres Des Vampires' songs, and Inkubus Sukkubus used to be my number 1 for a WHILE. Switchblade Symphony and Mephisto Walz too. I could prob link a few playlists from spotify that I listen to.

#long answer ik but it's such a hard choice #not gatekeeping by not mentioning the specific names #they're so local that if i say it im basically doxxing myself lolz #also i dont wanna mention the specific band bc they follow me on insta and i dont want them to see me talking abt them #bc that'd be embarrassing lsldkf #also i got so excited seeing this in my inbox i love music sm #if you wanna know more abt my music taste ask! i can make some playlists as well #of recommendations and the like #or i could link the playlist i primarily listen to (i didn't make it)

today in church one of the priests referred to trans people as "those who are growing into the gender they were called to be" and i'm kind of enjoying the idea of like....divinely ordained top surgery

#if god thinks i should get top surgery he needs to venmo me $9000 usd #there was someone in the gay social hour who said she had gotten kicked out of multiple catholic churches (for being trans)#and her therapist recommended this church specifically....#going into affirming churches still makes me a little emotional if i am being fully honest. if you have an affirming religious space #i hope you can hold onto that shit with your life #anyway. charming way to think about it i like it more than the bread and wine one personally #me #edit: to clarify this was at an episcopalian church
