My July 2023 haul arrived! Along with a parted out DAMtoys RE2R Leon S. Kennedy (Classic ver) head sculpt I purchased specifically to repaint. I'm super happy with the Cloud statue, he's gorgeous, very close to the prototype except the eyes appear to be pixelated, but that's kind of standard now for SE's figures, so no surprise. He's beautiful looking nonetheless, and despite them loving giving Cloud uncooked pasta-looking hair. The prototype didn't have that semi-translucent-glossy finish, so I wasn't expecting it, but they do so for most of their figures it seems.

Very small haul, but due to Cloud's box, it was quite expensive to ship. I am not thrilled… T___T;; I am happy with the figures, regardless and the acrylic stand. I love Odin Sphere, I played the OG release on my fat PS3, but I'm trying to avoid hoarding the figures, because they are mostly the girls and the Oswald one was way too big to ship without losing an eye. Might get it one day! Lol!

This one I actually put up a little while back, but I haven't shared it here yet: I wrote about Sword of the Vagrant, a game you might have played under another title, just The Vagrant. It's a sort of love letter to the fantasy side-scrollers produced by Vanillaware (think Odinsphere Leifthansr and Dragon's Crown Pro) complete with the inexplicably horny art and satisfying exploration and collectibles.

In particular, it got knocked a lot for being derivative (which it absolutely, definitely is), but I found that critique pretty interesting versus the actual experience of playing it.

I personally prefer Japanese voices, so I'd love to hear your thoughts on those, but if you like English more, then that's fine too!

Oh this is a really cool question!! I am a connoisseur for both Eng and Jp Vas so I will provide both. Lmao Some of these are highly specific because some of these characters were lowkey blueprints 🙈 Though I'm curious about what other people would think!

Alberich:

His voice is soft, light, almost sweet tenor. It's gentle and very friendly, the kind that kids find soothing and approachable, but can go into a deep earthy tone when he wants to be serious.

Miyano Mamoru (Chrollo/Light Yagami)

Matt Mercer (Yusuke Kitagawa)

Sieghardt:

His voice would be a very smooth, relaxing tenor, dark but very gentle.

Jun Kasama (HiMERU) or Yuichiro Umehara (Alhaitham/ Keito Hasumi)

Maeve:

Her voice would be the dark, warm and slightly husky voice. Y'know the one that screams Mommy that will wreck you uwu but also playful aunty.

Her voice would be something bright, cute and confident. Nothing too high or low, something just right in the middle.

Her voice would sit somewhere between pretty, sweet and just edging on sexy. Not too bright or husky, a rich tone that's fitting for a young woman.

[ lmao a little bit!!!! i never put shipping before anything else, nor shipping my own ships - most of the time, i go with the flow and prefer chemistry even when it comes to characters i actively ship with, since everyone has very distinct and different hcs of course i'll always try to test the waters for ships i actually enjoy tho teehe ]

29. what are your honest thought about your muse’s canon?

[ compared to other rpcs i play in, i don't really have big complaints when it comes to the canon stuff of the fandom i play here. there are some jokes and plotpoints that aged VERY poorly in wakfu and scp, and god knows i would've done without the gross age gap of the ship mercedes odinsphere is involved with, but with a bit of tweaking and headcanonings everything is fixable

like seriously whenever i'm asked this in the pokemon blogs especially im way more ready to bark and complain BNDMFNMSDF here i'm generally good ]

Un remake, titulado Odin Sphere Leifthrasir fue lanzado para PlayStation 3, PS VITA y PS4 en 2016. Atlus publicó dicho juego en América y Japón, mientras que NIS America, Inc. lo publicó en territorios PAL.

Usando una perspectiva de 2D side-scroller, el gameplay se enfoca en un sistema de combate beat’em up, e incorpora elementos RPG - Leifthrasir expande en este aspecto y refina dichos elementos. La historia, igual en ambas versiones, sigue a 5 personajes en el continente ficticio de Erion, durante la guerra entre naciones de Ragnanival y Ringford por un arma llamada Caldera de Cristalización, y su rol en el Armageddon, una catástrofe que destruirá Erion.

Unicorn Overlord!

Man, I was really hoping we’d get a trailer for that Fe4 remake. But on the other hand, Unicorn Overlord has me hyped beyond belief. Ever since I first played Odinsphere, I’ve a vanillaware fantasy srpg so fucking bad! And at long last, my prayers have been answered. And it’s got dragons and griffins and demons and elves and even furries. March of 2024 can’t come fast enough!

Unicorn Overlord looks promising. I'm always down for a new Vanillaware game.

It was a 2D side-scrolling action RPG game similar to Odinsphere or Murasama the Demon Blade! You could play as Team RWBY and Team JNPR, but only Team RWBY had alternate costumes like this (as far as we know).

The basic plot was Team RWBY was working for Atlas to protect a special project (a Simulation Machine) from sabotage. Adam Taurus was there, and he had an original design exclusive to the game!

They had lootboxes for sale, which presumably was the main source of income for the game. However, the characters and their alternate skins were for sale for in-game currency (Remnant Points) that you’d earn by doing combat sections.

There was these skins, but there were also Student and Pajama skins, I believe. These were the only original designs.

The game didn’t get very far, but it can be assumed they would have expanded the roster and given the other characters alternate costumes if it kept going.
