i get thalassophobia as a concept but when i hear about how deep the ocean is or how it doesn't care about us or how we know next to nothing about what lies beneath the surface i just start clapping and cheering. the elbow squid is my best friend forevers

I feel like if I had my own sinner in Hell 'sona I'd have drowned in the ocean, I love the ocean but it doesn't love me (get stung by jellyfish basically every year I go since I was 11 and had to get myself out of rip-currents twice) so yeah my luck would run out the older I got.

Main sin would absolutely be wrath related, fighting people in defense of loved ones and going too far and also probably more trivial stuff like writing nsfw

I think, perhaps one of the funniest things to come from EPIC popularising the Odyssey is that now a ton of people think Poseidon wanted to kill Odysseus.

In the Odyssey, Poseidon has no intention of killing Odysseus. In fact, part of the whole reason Zeus lets Poseidon do whatever he wants even though he thinks Odysseus is rad and should get to kiss his wife is explicitly because Poseidon had no intentions of killing Odysseus. Poseidon wanted to pay back the suffering/inconvenience blinding Polyphemus would have caused. It's a really abstract thing tbh. How do you pay back someone permanently disabling your son? Poseidon's solution was just to amputate Odysseus from his other half; i.e. Penelope. The end game was never murder, it was always an endurance race.

Also, for those wondering if there's any sort of in text reason for why Poseidon wasn't around in God Games - at the time in the Odyssey when Athena petitions Zeus to let Odysseus leave Calypso's island, Poseidon was -checks notes- on vacation in Ethiopia. Yep. He left to Ethiopia for a festival and thusly was very much absent for Athena's whole "please let Ody go? Please? 🥺" request.

the 1.13 aquatic update was minecrafts most gamechanging update ever no contest. i mean ok all of the updates change the game but that one was THE BIGGEST. new textures. Conduits. Coral reefs. Tridents. Sea grass. Kelp. AND THE UPDATED WATER MECHANICS OH MY GODDDDDDDD DO YOU REMEMBER HOW BIG OF A PAIN WATER USED TO BE BOTH TO TRAVEL IN AND TO GET RID OF? DO YOU REMEMBER HOW SLOW SWIMMING WAS?? DO YOU REMEMBER THE OLD BOATS??? if someone took the time and effort to fill ur entire house with water before 1.13 then u were fucked up ur ass and it didnt even look good but now we're able to WATERLOG CHESTS AND PARTIAL BLOCKS AND LIGHT SOURCES 1.13 did SO MUCH FOR US and we barely even appreciate her. minecraft 1.13 update i love you forever you will always have my heart
