adrian and zuri, but adrian is far worse.

zuri at least is comfortable in her existence as a noble and while she has an inferiority complex, that’s mostly in relation to the other very powerful people around her. propaganda has done enough for her that she still subconsciously acknowledges her innate superiority over the vast majority of the idrisian population. she apologizes a lot to her peers and her superiors.

adrian, on the other hand, apologizes to everyone, which makes his inferiority complex worse than it started out. he barely believes in his right to exist as a human being at all, let alone his right to be one of the most important people in the country. he apologizes incessantly to his peers and his only superior (brinne), but also to lesser nobles and advisors and even servants, which in itself reaffirms everyone's disappointment in him. vicious cycle, baby!

A/N: This draft has taken me much too long I swear. So out of practice smh. Anyway! Enjoy this piece i haven’t even proofread and do not plan on doing so and will probably immediately fall asleep after.

“Where are we going?” Zuriel asked, its hand gripping onto Vanté’s.

Vanté smiled, squeezing its hand reassuringly as they walked together. “Somewhere safer you can stay, until we can find a way to get you out of here.” He said, as they reached a very, very fancy looking building located in the heart of the first circle, white and gold and extremely ornate. “Everyone inside this building is exactly like you, in some way or another.”

Vanté pushed the doors open with his free hand, the two instantly surrounded with noise and pleasantly sweet smells.

As Zuriel took it all in, it couldn’t help but ask. “..Where are we?” It looked up at Vanté expectantly, waiting for a response.

“The precinct of the Unholy Choir” He explained as they walked, the doors sliding shut behind them. “An independently funded organisation of fallen angels, just like you.”

The precinct was buzzing with activity and chatter, all different types of ex-angels communicating and working in sync and harmony, the area decorated with white granite, gold, stained glass, intricate painting across the ceiling, everything you’d expect from such an area.

“I won’t always be here” Vanté admitted, ultimately drawing Zuriel’s gaze back to him. “However, that doesn’t mean I’ll just leave you here by yourself when I get too busy. You’ll have a caretaker, instead.”

“A caretaker?” Zuriel questioned, the phrase unfamiliar to it.

Vanté nodded. “That’s right. They’ll be here to make sure you’re not completely alone, make sure your needs are met. Even train you if needed.”

As if on cue, a fallen angel joined them, seemingly male. He was a little taller than Vanté, with radiant, fair skin, curly white hair that fell way past his shoulders, a slender but toned frame and golden eyes.

He was dressed in casual yet formal clothing, the UC’s sigil embroidered on the shoulders, a sword sheath secured around his hips, the hilt plated with gold and the handle wrapped with leather, both of which were worn from drills and fights.

“Ah, speaking of” Vanté smiled, patting the man’s back, who grinned slightly at the contact. “This is Sir Minus Maryweather. He’ll be your caretaker whilst I’m not present.”

“You must be our newest addition” Minus smiled, holding a hand out. “I’ve heard a lot about you.”

Zuriel blinked a couple times, hesitantly taking Minus’s hand. It didn’t really know what to even say, which made Minus chuckle.

“Shy one you have here” Minus remarked to Vanté, who just laughed.

“It’ll warm up to you” Vanté replied with a smile. “Now, as much as I hate to cut this short, I do have to go. I don’t really have the time to stand around and talk, considering…”

His voice drifted, but Minus, at least, seemed to understand what he meant. Zuriel, however, wasn’t as easily satisfied with this answer. Everything was moving so fast, too fast for it to keep up with.

“Wait- wait, where are you going?” It asked, grabbing Vanté’s arm before he could leave.

This made Vanté sigh. He really, really didn’t want to just… leave Zuriel here. But it was the only safe option. “I have to go back to the castle and attend to adult matters, okay?”

“But I-“

“Zuriel, please, just trust me. Minus is trained to keep you safe. You’ll be okay.”

“But I don’t want to be alone.”

“You won’t be alone. If you desperately need me, you can get Minus to call me or send me a letter. Okay?”

Zuriel sniffled. It didn’t like the idea of not constantly having Vanté around, but.. “o-okay..” Zuriel mumbled.

Vanté smiled, clapping his shoulder, before he stood once more, ruffling Zuriel’s hair. “Good kid.”

Little shitpost in spirit of pride month~

Kyu discovering that Kisuke isn’t the only handsome one in the shop. Bi panic be hitting hard.

The context? Zuriel found a Camera hidden in the bathroom. Why is it there? Kisukes says it’s Yoruichis but we all know it isn’t.

colour is a thing I use very frequently in the process of designing my characters. they can all be reduced to a single colour that is incorporated in their design and / or personality in some way

for example:

Rayan's assigned colour is red. he has a warm colour scheme in his design, commonly wears red, and is always covered in blood. always

Foster is blue. in comparison, their design uses greys, blacks and of course, blues. their demeanour is equally as cold.

Aarin is more of a pastel blue, due to the colour of their eyes and their withdrawn, quiet personality

Zuriel is orange. compared to Aarin, its design is warm and friendly, much like its personality. it and Aarin balance each other out perfectly

Ailean is a light, pale green. due to the white brightness of the lab and their own albinism, along with the fact his design is inspired by a hemlock flower, they have a pale, muted appearance

Madir is beige. this is mostly shown in his design, in the white streaks of his hair from his poliosis and his dark, neutral clothing style

Esrana is a dark purpleish-pink. purple is an elegant colour, wouldn't you say? perfectly describes her, from her hair to her silky smooth accent

Madison is a mahogany colour. a strong colour, yet warm and inviting. she could crush you if she were so inclined, and yet her hands are gentle

Kore is a smoky, foggy grey. hard and cold like stone, scrutinizing eyes judging your every move. a vile man, he is

Zayn is a lavender-ish colour. unlike Esrana, who's dark and unforgiving, he's a lighter, more easygoing person

Derwyn is a neon, bright pink. eager, bright, loud. the colour reminds me a lot of their wide, unblinking eyes

Ezra is white. like ailean, he has albinism, and this is incorporated in his design a lot. he has a pale, light colour scheme, and nobody can really tell whether or not he's actually okay with or against Foster's situation with a captive. he's just.. neutral. white

but what about Ruaridh, you say? well, they're a special case

the lab is the only thing Ruaridh has known. for their entire life, they've had nothing but the clothes that Derwyn gave them, nothing but the books Derwyn gave them, nothing but the injections that Derwyn injected. they've had no outside communication, had never seen the world, had never had a chance to gain their own colour, in a way. they don't exactly have a colour

anyway. I like my ocs
