New Years with Sharkfang and Fergus (2023)

A little pic I made during the celebration of New Years 2023! A new year has arrived in the old town of Camden, fireworks bursting in the air. And what's a perfect way to celebrate a new year full of spot-tastic misadventures than to share a can of root beer in the Canal water and watch the fireworks on full display! Sharkfang and Fergus seem to have the exact same idea! Thought I'd introduce another one of my OC's for this occasion. Sharkfang, a Scottish, sparkling-yet-fierce Dolphin who lurks in the rivers and canals of Camden Town. His character design was made by a good friend of mine DarkJager01! This reminds me of a similar story of mine lmao, when I was little, I used to lead all my buddies to play Warrior Cats like a big larp dungeonmaster. We were RiverClan cats, and I had Stonefur as an elder who used to dispense wisdom and stuff

But that was because I couldn't get a copy of Darkest Hour, I did not know that he died

And then I GOT the book, and my heart SANK. It was like, "oh noooooooooo grandpaw stonefurrrrr he is not LORE COMPLIANT"

So I went back to my fellow warriors, MAGMApelt and SHARKfang, and said, "guys... stonefur died :(" We did not know what an AU was at the time, so we just mentally buried the old man as if we'd done something Very Wrong. I think we replaced him with this other cool OC we all got attached to.

But anyway yeah in BB that man is dead, his death is just too iconic. Warrior Cats without killing anyone is just Cats: We Have Em.

It's called HouseholdClan! Our leader is Notebookstar (after five star notebooks), Cowboyhat is the deputy (because the word deputy reminds me of that kinda stuffs), and out helaer/med. cat is Pillbottle (for obvious reasons) and their apprentice is Soappaw (full healer name is Soapbubble)

The story revolves around Forkkit and Knifekit (Med cat and warrior names are Forkfang and Knifeshine) and them being part of a prophecy along with their cousins Toolkit and Couchkit (warrior names Toolbox and Couchcushion). Toolkit and Couchkit also have a brother named Clipboardkit (Clipboardclaw) but he's lame/silly

Other cats include: Engineroar, Microwavehum, Outletface, Waterbottleshadow, Headphonewire, Housefire, Tapwater, Eggyolk, Electricalwire, Rustedmetal, Bookcover, Sunnyday, Cameraflash, and Flagpole

Also we have the obligatory pjsk references, Dramapaw (Dramamask, Mafuyu), Paintpaw (Paintbrush, Ena), Recordpaw (Recordplayer, Kanade), and Ribbonpaw (Ribbonshine, Mizuki)

We also have two other cats names Shrimpshade and Sharkfang. I justify their non-item names by saying they're from a different Clan I called SeafoamClan (maybe I'll make that a thing,, I love making warriors clans you don't even know)

Annddd our elders are Chairleg, Houseplant, Butterknife, and a former kittypet named Stella!

We also have a few cats outside the Clan, which are Falcon (a friend's OC), and Jingle and Jangle, who come from a travelling group of circus cats! Dramapaw was actually originally from them, and sometimes Jingle sneaks in through a back window to taunt Dramapaw about their past and try and get them to rejoin

Other stuff:

Chairleg had a mate named Carpetfur and their kits are Microwavehum and Outletface!

Microwavehum is mates with Cowboyhat and their kits are Toolkit, Clipboardkit, and Couchkit

Outletface is mates with Headphonewire and their (adopted) kits are Forkkit and Knifekit

Sunnyday and Cameraflash are accidental omori references

Pillbottle and Stella are mates and try to hide it from Soappaw butnits so fucking obvious everyone can tell (old cat yuri,,,!!!! wtf!!!!!/silly)

-Saphira sometimes snores very quietly. Mako thinks it's cute.

-Mako cooks. No Saphira in the kitchen unless to do dishes.

-Mako teases Saph relentlessly (stops ofc if she gets uncomfy)

-Saphira gets very protective over them, as she does for anyone she cares for.

-They're both dumbasses in different fonts.

Random facts about Mako (also some angsty ones)?

here's a few !

-First met her sharpedo as a carvanha at around 10 years old. It bit her in the arm but she wasn't scared. It gained an interest in her after that and then they became friends :]

-She accidentally got picked up in a giant pelipper's mouth at 6 years old. She's very afraid of birds, even small ones.

-The one that gave her the scar on her face was Sirius.

-When they first started having feelings for Saphira, they believed she hated them deep down and they accepted that Saph would never want anything like that. (Opposite happened though to their surprise)

-Hates being in the presence of alcohol.

-Knows how to surf (both on pkm and on boards)

Another question for Mako! (This time featuring Saph!) Long question time!

How do they feel about each other's little siblings? Since they're both very protective of their own younger siblings, we wonder how that dynamic would go. Also, how would they feel about them meeting up? Would Charlotte and Finley be friends? Because they're kinda in the same age range. Give us the story of how they met each other's families!

this one is so interesting bcuz i have thought about this a lot !!

(read the answer under here cuz its v long, E19 spoilers ahead !)

First meetings:

-Finley and Charlotte actually meet at the old Yureyu HQ when the kids are held captive there. He just peeked in on her with curiosity as Mako and him would sometimes go in and out of the building for things.

She noticed him and they started talking and quickly bonded over gushing about their cool older siblings. Basically a sassy cool girl and sunshine boy friendship dynamic.

-Mako did not know Charlotte personally, but she still pushed her out of the way of one of Blake's icicles in Victory Road. Charlotte got some respect for them after that.

-Saphira saved Finley from Sirius in Victory Road and brought him back safely to Mako. At the time, he was the younger brother of a Meteor member she did not trust, but she couldn't leave a child all alone. She also felt like she owed Mako after they protected Charlotte.

Once all of them get to know each other:

-Mako thinks Charlotte is pretty cool and sometimes joins in on teasing Saphira with her.

-Saphira thinks Finley is a little naive, but doesn't fault him too much as he's only 15, and it was mostly Mako's influence for keeping so much of the bad stuff Meteor did from him. She cares for him nonetheless.

The protectiveness over their younger siblings is the main reason Saph and Mako actually were able to bond in any kind of way, as Saphira despises Meteor for everything they've done.

Since you asked, here are some personal Saphira headcanons! (And some more, too!)

Now, before we begin, we have to admit: we've done a lot of lore and world reconstruction for our Reborn AU, which we call Reborn: Rainbow! So if it sounds wacky, it's an AU. Let's go! (There's a lot!!!)

Our biggest ship for Saph is Saphira x Victoria! We think they'd be so cute together and help each other cope in times of need. Saph enrolls for Apophyll Academy to help her with her anger, where she meets Vicki! Their relationship is very slow burning, and it takes a very long time for them to realize they're really in love. Also, Saph x Mako is so so super cute! >W<

Post-championship, Saph remodels her gym to be the Reborn region's official League Conference Arena! She moves her gym battles to Route 4, where she and Charlotte battle in doubles as the last position in the non-E4, specializing in Dragon- and Rock-types! (Charlotte changes her type specialty to rock in Rainbow). They get their own field, too! Laura and Bennett still battle in doubles in the E4, but they have a custom field now!

Along with her new gym, she becomes the sherpa of the Tanzan Mts, so she can still protect her family! She also watches over the mountain range on Route 4 and just gains a fascination for mountains in general.

She wants a family of her own sometime in the future, but she's not ready for motherhood just yet. Vicki, not so much - she can wait a couple more years! XD

Rather than being missing for ten years, Monty and Caroline (the Belrose parents) have been missing for closer to seven years. The Belrose triplets are in for a pleasant but shocking surprise when they discover their parents aren't actually dead, only missing, due directly to the fault of Team Meteor (including some new Meteor OCs we've made!) They're eventually reunited sometime after the events of the game, since we love ourselves a happy ending!!!

She opens up a little bit more in the post-game but still keeps her protective and reserved personality. Vicki thinks this is endearing!
