WOAH oh my god?? it's oc time??! some character sheets of my main two gals for my original story, Visions of the Hereafter!

the plot focuses on heiress to the underworld (also known as the medium in-universe), atalanta, who shows great raw power but has incredible difficulty channeling and restraining her emotions, which is super important when you're a necromancer. and while her mentors have taught her a lot, her aunt brisa never lets her hear the end of how far behind she is, as the clock is ticking for her ascension as head necromancer.

meanwhile, mortal delinquent and con artist kris has lived her whole life with the strange ability to sense the dead...when atalanta goes up to the surface under brisa's strict supervision as part of her training, what on earth happens when she manages to sneak off anyways and bumps into kris? it seems like the two are inexplicably connected, somehow...could the realms of the living and dead colliding like this only spell disaster just like atalanta's education in the medium has always taught her, or could it perhaps lead to something more...?

╰ dispatch reveals their second couple of 2019: seventeen’s minji and nct’s johnny.

﹙  DECEMBER 31ST, 2018  ﹚— Every year, Korean news outlet Dispatch rings in the new year by revealing new celebrity couples to the public. Girls’ Generation’s Yoona and Lee Seung Gi, Rain and Kim Tae Hee, and EXID’s Hani and JYJ’s Junsu all had their first reports come from Dispatch.

Along with the previous couple exposed today, Blackpink's Jennie and EXO's Kai, the pair was exposed by a close friend of theirs. The mutual stated that they had been dating for a few months and were seeing each other regularly. Photos were sent to us by the friend and we will not be disclosing due to privacy. Whether Dispatch will disclose the photos or not, their interactions at events are something else to look at to confirm their relationship. Thus being said, perhaps fans of both groups will look into the SEVENTEEN and NCT interactions.

Minji has posted many photos on her personal Instagram account, doimizu, with NCT’s Johnny. Although most of the photos were mere Instagram stories, it definitely added insight into what the idols were doing together. Whether Minji meant to make her relationship public by sharing her moments with Johnny, these stories were captured a few weeks before they started officially dating, according to the close friend.

Both SM and Pledis Entertainment have not addressed anything currently about the matter, especially SM Entertainment with two of their artists dating life being exposed.

We would also like to confirm that they had been dating prior to the announcement. We cannot interfere with his life outside of idol activities, so we ask fans to support the couple. Thank you.

Hello, this is Pledis Entertainment. Looking over with SM Entertainment, we came to the same conclusion. We hope everyone can support the couple and withhold their negative views.

Although it was not needed, Minji made a personal statement on her Instagram.

Hi. This is Minji from Seventeen and I am deeply sorry for announcing this after seeing the current news. I’ve always wanted to announce my relationship with Johnny and being beaten to it really hurt me. This relationship was built from a friendship that I hope lasts even after we depart from each other, if that does happen. Both of us were made aware of the news as soon as it was released to the public. I didn’t want to feel the same pressure as every other artist who was exposed by the fated news, but unfortunately, I am standing in their shoes as well. I hope everyone understands that I am truly sorry for having to announce this. Thank you for your understanding.

The post’s comment section was filled with both support and hate, which later became silenced with Minji disabling comments. We truly offer our condolences to the couple and we wish them a very safe and healthy relationship!

Oct 13 - Introduce your Hawke

He's not the Hawke from my main worldstate, but he is my favorite Hawke.

I'm just going to paste the random facts from a recent ramble I made about him lol

He’s one of my Hawkes, but his name is actually Hwang Seung-gi. Thank you Bioware for giving the da2 protagonist a surname with one syllable. Made it easier for me to aim my Koreanizing beam at it.

I still like the idea that if people do call him “Hawke,” it’s because they’re mispronouncing his name. Also they don’t get that it’s his family name but it goes before his given name.

His father was big on teaching him and his sister to conceal their magic. So instead of using traditional staves, they would use enchanted everyday items which could be easily concealed.

Seung-gi uses a hand fan (non-folding). After he got into blood magic, he modified it so there’s a blade along the edge of the fan. The blood seeps through the paper to the rune he has tied to the knot tied to the handle, further enhancing it and making it about as powerful as an average staff.

Speaking of blood magic, Seung-gi started when he was living in Lothering. He uses the excuse that his family’s crops were failing, but that was only part of it. Really he was curious about the power and he was certain he could handle any drawbacks.

Unfortunately he couldn’t, but Seung-gi’s father realized what was happening before the demon could possess him. He offered himself up to the demon instead, and had Seung-gi strike him down in his place.

No one else in the family knows how his father died. Seung-gi is carrying that to his grave, and it informed a lot of his drive to protect his family (aside from general eldest child syndrome)

Anyway, he’s goth, he’s Korean, he’s in love with Gascard DuPuis, and he sounds like Nick Cave. That’s all I got for you.

I was thinking about my Hawke, Seung-gi's fighting style and I found a lot of photos of his faceclaim holding a fan

So I wanted to try to incorporate it into his fighting style, but with a non-folding fan instead. Using everyday objects instead of staves is how his family went under the radar for so long

Both the handle and the maedeup are embedded with runes which infuse it with magic, but it's not that powerful on its own compared to a more traditional, larger staff.

Fortunately Seung-gi is a blood mage lol. He modified the top of his fan to contain a concealed blade around the edge. It can be useful in offensive combat, but he mostly uses it to slice his own hand to infuse his blood with the rest of his fan, making it just as powerful as a mage's staff (he can also swoosh the blood through the air for added drama)
