A.N. hello all. if this seems familiar to you it's because... I've already posted it. With that said I realized I am Horrendous at formatting and decided to repost with some alterations. a HUGE shoutout to the council for helping me get my shit together, especially @bri-sonat for helping fic my truly wretched formatting. the next few chapters will be posted soon as I write some new ones as well.

The wind howled as you looked out the window of the train. Trees passing by in flashes as you made your way through towns, each one smaller and more spread apart, until there was nothing but the forest and the rain dripping down the windows to keep your eyes fixed on.

You can feel the chill of the weather as you rest your gloved hand on the window, not quite knowing what to expect. Finally, you see lights as the train pulls up to a town. As you look away from the pouring rain, you realize that everyone else had departed the train many stops ago.

After all, who would want to travel to a town like Jericho.

Though you suppose it wasn't Jericho itself that they avoided but rather what was just beyond it, Nevermore, your destination. The school had quite a reputation amongst the residents, almost serving as a horror story, an urban myth.

You quickly made your way up from your seat and gathered your belongings, not that you had many to grab, as the stewardess waited by the door of the train. With a small nod in her direction, you square your shoulders and step out into the world once again.

You quickly feel the rain soaking through your many layers as you dart under the cover of an awning, dragging your trunk behind you as you huddle over your tote bag, attempting to protect the few notebooks you carry. 

You look around as the train pulls away, desperately hoping that you will be able to spot your ride to your new home. As the lights from the train disappear into the distance, you’re left shivering on the cobbled road, lit only by a few meager street lamps. As the minutes pass and the cold sinks further into your bones, you finally decide you can't wait anymore out in this weather.

You shift your bag further up on your arm as your breath fogs up before your face. The second you step out into the storm again you regret it, but within minutes your steps have led you to the one building that seemed to still be open. As the wind blows the door shut behind you, you look around and realize you're in a small coffee shop, the Weathervane, according to the sign above the counter.

You quickly leave your trunk by an empty table before heading up to the counter where a young boy is watching with wary but amused eyes. “Hi…” You murmur, your voice horse from disuse, ”could I just get a hot chocolate with oat milk?” you ask, with a slightly clearer voice.

“Of course, what's the name?” He queries with a small smile.

“Adelaide.” You respond before turning around, the bell of the door behind you ringing, the noise drawing your attention. Standing there silhouetted by the glowing lights of the street was the most striking woman you had ever seen.

“Miss Florence, there you are my dear!” She exclaimed as she walked towards the counter. Somehow despite the stormy weather, she looked absolutely perfect, not a single hair out of place regardless of the howling wind and rain that had quickly turned your long curls into a stringy mess. 

As she approached the counter, you found yourself tilting your head farther and farther back, and when she finally stopped next to you, you realized how ridiculous you must look peering up at her like a drowned rat. You quickly looked down with a blush.

“Hello Tyler, a hot chocolate please, and would you be so kind as to put Miss Florence's drink on my tab as well?” She states with a glimmering smile at the barista.

“Oh no, you really don't have to do that!” You state, looking up quickly at the woman whose name you still don't know.

“Nonsense! Consider it a welcoming gift and an apology for my tardiness. Unfortunately, our normal driver fell sick due to the weather, so I had to finish up an appointment before coming down.” She stated warmly as she handed over some cash for the drinks before heading over to the table with your trunk. “I’m Larissa Weems, Headmistress of Nevermore Academy, my dear.” She smiled at you as you glanced up at her.

In the light of the coffee shop you can't help but stare at her beauty, clear blue eyes surrounded by delicate long lashes, a bright red lip captured in a gleaming smile, she was like an angel come to life.

You let out a shiver as her eyes pierced yours. Seeing this her smile faded into a frown, creasing her forehead as she looked down at you. “My dear, you must be freezing, you're absolutely soaked!” She says as she reaches toward you.

“No!’ You shouted, quickly scooting out of the bench away from her as you trip over your trunk in panic. She lets out a gasp at your desperation as you shake on the ground, refusing to look into her eyes in shame.

“I was just going to remove your coat, dear, it’s soaked through…” She murmurs comfortingly with her hands clasped in front of her for you to see clearly. You feel your cheeks turn pink with shame as you slowly climb up from the ground, ignoring the looks from the few other patrons.

“I can't do… touch.” You state as you wring your gloved hands together, “I apologize, it would not be pleasant for either of us.” You continue, wrapping yourself further in your layers as you look down at your feet.

“That is quite alright, my dear, I apologize for disturbing you.” Her voice was gentle, a touch of worry in her tone.

“Adelaide, Headmistress, here you go.” You hear as two to-go cups are placed next to you on the table. You quickly step back from the barista, once again kicking your trunk but managing to stay upright this time as you let out a tight smile.

Clearing her throat, the headmistress quickly stands with a slightly strained smile on her face. “Let's get you to your new home!” She says with joy, grabbing her hot chocolate with one hand and your trunk in the other.

“Yes, let's…” You murmur, grabbing your own drink and following behind the statuesque woman.

courtney: toasted cinnamon raisin with grape jelly.

ghost: she wouldnt have a preference for bagel flavors and would not care for topping but she would eat them by toasting them ripping up the bagel into pieces putting the pieces into a pile and then eating them one by one.

kianna: onion bagel with butter and the rest of her toppings (nova lox/capers/chives/jalapeños/etc) on the side.

lance: everything bagel with cream cheese & pepper & a touch of lime.

leyla: donut.

lou: would pick off of kianna's sides and cram them all in between a sesame seed bagel, sometimes has bacon & cheese or just cc w the toppings, lots of hot sauce dreeeeenched in hot sauce, kianna's jalapeños are not safe around him.

lyra: wheat bagel with butter.

prudence: she would eat my bagel order which is everything bagel with whipped savory-flavored cream cheese and Lots Of It and she would be picky in choosing where the bagel comes from.

rashida: i once saw something called a 'cinnamon sugar' bagel where one of the spread options was straight up frosting so probably something like that OR a for a savory vibe a plain bagel w sausig egg whites and some typa hollandaise or mayo.

rosalia: this is a kingsley creation but if it is not sound off in the comments but my girl's getting an everything bagel with plain cream cheese and homemade strawberry jam/strawberries & honey on top, she might do salt i think she would do salt.

snyder: toasted wheat bagel, egg whites, turkey bacon, hot sauce.

velouria: onion bagel with nothing on it. sometimes they will dunk it into various sauces tho. tyler (their bf) will try to make them eat his order (basically similar to snyders but w cheese and fried egg & regular bacon) as a prank and they would scratch at him

Hi! I am Ash, elder crone and BBU writer of so many stories I have no idea how I will ever finish them.

I started writing BBU works with Kauri's story Erase to Control in January 2020, and from there things sort of spiralled to include a vast array of characters and world-building that I am frankly pretty proud of.

Right now, my main BBU OCs are:

Kauri, beautiful kept man to an aging ex-child star actor who was bought to be a clone of another man who escaped before. He starts to doubt and question the life he lives. But it isn't as easy as escape. He still has to figure out how to survive after.

Chris, young and frightened, appears nearly wordless on a safehouse doorstep in the middle of a rainy night in my story What We Can't Make Right. He's been a secret kept for far too long, and with each day free more of who he is emerges. The story follows Chris as he grows and matures and rebuilds a shattered life.

Jameson, who is part of my overall BBU Safehouse story Little More Than a Chance, is angry and bitter and broken. Scarred from fighting to survive, he has decided to stop living as a cornered animal and throw himself into feeling human again.

Other BBU OCs include Antoni, Allyn, Eli, Nine, Sarita, Nova, Krista, Leila, Ex-Handler Marc Sonders and the pet he threw it away for, Beringer, the little town of Hope... The list goes on and on.

Favorite BBU stories include @deluxewhump's Zee, @wildfaewhump's Peyton, @for-the-love-of-angst's Wick, @redwingedwhump's David... Oh there are so many. Right now I am obsessed with @justplainwhump's Tyler and @just-horrible-things Spider.

Um. Them !!!!! Loki isn't technically my oc but at this point i've diverged so far from comics canon I basically consider him my own version of the character LOL!!! (And since Marvel took him from mythology I have every right. Anyway. Almost zero resemblance to the mcu too, i dont consider them even remotely the same character 🤷‍♀️) I could talk about them like. hours. I don't know what to put here in a text post. Okay HMM I guess I'll use this question to do a very broad overview of my stories! Maybe that should be its own post?? LOL

My main focus is on my Marvel fan characters:

Gail and Erica, twin sisters yoinked from my webcomic and all grown up, Valentine, the Valentine Crew (Crash, Red, Hands, Roux, Fuse), Keegan, Brightgene (mutant) kids (Brianna, Edwin, Luiz, Ali), tenants/residents at Gail and Loki's mansion (Eunice, Elenari, Avril ), my own AU version of the Guardians of the Galaxy... That's most of them.

I also have a few DC characters (Breeze, Doomscroller, a digital Batgirl, Paisley and Siren)

My original stories:

Fledge Fighters (webcomic, mostly technically finished), Characters from that are Gail and Erica (as kids), Pace, Rae, Michael, JD, Stephen, Nathan, Beck, Perri, Agent Jay, Flare Pants Man. Teen superhero hijinks on a "crime free" island.

Sketch Ninja (maybe someday webcomic): Rye, Kytton, Ciela, Kizzy, Dex, Nova: Ninjas have the ability to turn drawings into weapons. Popular Machinery (pitching this to publishers ideally): Kaiya, Aalex, Ripflick, Olivia, Juliet, various robots: Influencers with mechs. Need I say more?

Danger Spoon (WAY on the backburner) Tyler, Jamie, Lillith, Becca, Ruth: Boy from the big city moves to conservative small town and ends up as the front singer of a girl band.

Daisy's patience: Daisy, Sugar, Soap, Loafcat: kids fight giant robots. Probably won't do anything big with this unless I get a chance to pitch as a cartoon.

Honey and the Bee (Raina, Maple, Forrest) and Journey of Hearts (Kyo, Mimi, Oliver) Both very underdeveloped romances that I'll never write but the characters stick around in my head so they might get repurposed into something else later.

i should probably post like. A summary of my OCs and their stories so people know what i’m talking about when I post about them, huh?

*Ahem*

Troubled Waters - (Tagged as #into troubled waters here on tumblr since there’s already a movie by the same name & I don’t wanna clog their tag.) Red, Purple, & Blue don't remember anything about their lives- not even their names; but they're pretty sure they’re not supposed to be stuck in a seemingly endless aquarium, devoid of any other people, filled with puzzles, escape rooms, traps, and mysterious doors. The response to such a situation seems obvious- work together to find a way out & recover their memories.

But as time goes on, it becomes clear that there's something more amiss. Nobody's getting hungry or thirsty, but they can still get hurt & feel pain. They're getting tired, but not sleepy. Forget mysterious- the aquarium's layout seems to defy any coherent laws of reality; & there's a strangely familiar ghost haunting the premises. All the while, their gradually returning memories bring with them old aches & dramas of the past, that threaten to break the team apart.

Can the three push past the depths of their pasts, so they can resurface into the future?

Chaos Before Apocalypse - Ishikawa Ezekiel finds out his mother, the well-beloved CEO of tech giant The Quantum Order, has secretly been doing unethical experiments; leading to the disappearance of his college schoolmate, Sanada Emiko, who’s been turned against her will into a monster. Teaming up with schoolmates Yoshino Tyler Kaito & Ryan Watson, along with Ryan’s little sibling Nova to form Team Chaos; they need to track down Emiko and whoever else has been affected by the Quantum Order’s plans, and figure out what those plans are in the first place, before it’s too late. …All while avoiding the violent rampage of Adam, the brother Zeke left behind.

Wishes Upon The Cosmic Clock - One fateful night on 27th June 2022, when disillusioned 32-year-old marketing consultant & part-time babysitter Madison Perultan, along with young 11-year-old aspiring game developer Akeidat Hart, respectively wish upon a comet to become a kid again & an adult sooner to escape the pressures of their lives, they’re thrown into two mirroring timelines- Kei is flung into the future of 2042 with an adult body, while Maddie is thrown back down memory lane to 2000 in her childhood body.

With the help of the anxious angel Darius Esmakina, who has no idea what he’s doing; & equipped with the ability to communicate across timelines in their shared dreams, the three have to find a way to return to the present, where they all belong, before reality falls apart in their hands.

…But in the meantime, why can’t Maddie spend more time playing with her old childhood friend, Charles Hudfren? And Kei is a bit curious about the new life of their old study-partner, Fiera Byrde.

Wanting to make something new of her life, Stella Lyve has recently quit her old job as a physics teacher to pursue her life-long passion for investigation. …As a freelance journalist. She doesn’t feel quite ready for her dreams of being a private detective just yet.   

But now that she's actually started looking for them, it appears Gloomytown holds more conspiracies & injustices than first meets the eye. Between trying to unravel what it all means, staying true to her moral code in a world that simply says it's easier to be unjust, ...and also falling head over heels for her acquaintance-turned-investigative-partner Madison Perultan; can Stella hold her ground & find her footing in the world, or will she be caught up in the seemingly endless storm?

The Bubbled Woods - After running away from the pressure of her royal duties, Princess Ice Cream Cake the Fourth, under the alias of Strawberry Ice Cream, has managed to secure a nice & quiet life for herself; living in the farthest reaches of the kingdom, befriending the famous Moonlit Magician, Fenzire Von Sprinklemuffin; who she can't help but feel an inexplicable connection to.

But when trouble in the form of Cream’s mother, Queen Cloycoat Cake the Second, as well as the following rebellion led by Cream's other parent, Almond, comes knocking at their door… can the duo stay & hold their ground? Or will Cream be forced to run away from home a second time?

The Hellish Cycle - Azalea Skye's afterlife was quite literally turned upside-down when she accidentally found herself in the coldest reaches of Hell, right by the abode of the grumpy & aloof Atlas Emberson. From then on, an unlikely, budding friendship forms, as she begins visiting him in Hell more regularly. But their idle hanging-outs are cut short when an incident occurs, revealing Atlas to be plagued by a mysterious curse.

A Hellbound soul that's unable to reincarnate, an unknown force hiding in the shadows, and a frostbite infection that seeks to drag every last being, dead or alive, into the frozen wastelands of Hell; the clock is ticking & they're on a race to save all of humanity, and it looks like Atlas' curse is the key to all of it.

Hero's Sandbox - 13 year old sheltered city girl Kayla Zhong was not at all prepared to be suddenly isekai'd into the fantasy planet of Plat. ...At least it's peaceful and she's being given shelter by an immortal goat librarian until she gets to go home.

-his best friend, tyler, also counts as a love interest bc ty is massively in love with him. it is not requited (justice for tyler!! im the one making this story and technically i have the power to change it but!!! justice for my vampire baby boy!!!)

Supernova — Noun — A violent explosion that occurs upon the death of a star, causing it to suddenly become extremely bright for a few months.

Delilah Sherlock "Lillie" Tyler is the premature younger sister of Rose Tyler, she never knew her father but she is told she got his cleverness and creativity because she claims when she was thirteen, she met an eccentric man with an impractically long scarf named "The Doctor" with a magic spaceship/time machine and his companion, a young journalist named Sarah-Jane Smith, and his friend, a woman with multi-colored hair and purple eyes named Nova, he saved her from the “evil statues”.  Ever since then she has been having dreams of the Doctor and Nova’s adventures.

Lillie Tyler, now eighteen, is highly intelligent and has a lot of potential, however she lacks ambition or self-confidence and is likely to end up like her older sister, living a tedious meaningless life at a dead-end job, until one day she and Rose Tyler meet a man with big ears and a leather jacket who changes their lives forever… though soon they’ll find out that their lives weren’t as normal as they once thought them to be.
