what do you think daeron the drunken's family with kiera and vaella was like? i headcanon that shortly after kiera lost her husband and her sons, daeron gave her some "comfort" that led to a court scandal and maekar making them marry in order to preserve kiera's honor and also give the targaryens an excuse to keep her in westeros.

omg ok a while ago i started planning an rpg campaign set during aerys I’s reign so i actually kind of have #thoughts on this. canonically i don’t think we have anything of substance (at least until f&b 2 is released) so this is basically all canon oc talk

i picture kiera sort of like show margaery in that she’s ambitious and she wants to stay in power and in westeros no matter who she needs to marry for it. her family also plays a part in this i haven’t decided if she hates them and wants to be away from them or if they’re pushing her to be there. so i think she’s the one who seduces daeron right after valarr dies, which was. not even a little difficult. and baby traps him lol

i haven’t thought too far about their dynamic with vaella yet, but i think kiera and/or her family might’ve thought vaella was their ticket to the throne. idk i haven’t decided. daeron i think was very kind, but absent to her

A/n: for this AU, I have come up with a full list of names for months and days. Those will be posted after Christmas. I have also come up with a full bio for Vaesella, my OC.

At what timeline is the story going to start? I have already drafted an introductory story set during Winter’s End (January), 285 AC, at the wedding feast held in honor of Arthur and Vaesella getting married.

Is Aelor going to stay in Pentos? He is. 

If so then Elia would leave there too? Aelor insists on bringing her. He thinks it would be cruel to leave her alone for the months he has to travel to Pentos every year. Plus, it will be easier for her, his kids, and his former paramour, Syreya, to get to know each other if they are all in the same place. 

And what did he think of what Rhaegar did? He thinks Rhaegar is a fool. And it is not just because of Rhaegar having an affair, plunging the realm into war, and ending his marriage to a good woman because of said affair. He thinks Lyanna is not prepared for life as a queen consort.    

What is Arthur and Rhaegar's relationship like now? Beside being loyal to his king. Complicated. He is still loyal to Rhaegar since he is king and they still have a rapport, but like I said in another ask in my other blog, Arthur is disappointed that Rhaegar did not honor his vows, and his relationship with Rhaegar shifts even more after he finds himself falling in love with his wife.

Do you have a name for Vaesella's daughter? Yes! Arthur and Vaesella name their daughter Rhaela, after an ancient Valyrian goddess associated with grace, joy, and festivities. She has her father’s hair and coloring, and her mother's rare true purple eyes.

I assume Viserys will be betrothed to Arianne? Oh, yes. Those two get into all sorts of “spicy” trouble when they are adults. 

Are there any messages between Rhaegar and Arthur about the princess? If there is, does she know? If she doesn't, how would she react if she knew? Arthur does not write to Rhaegar about the things Vaesella is doing since they are nothing to give anyone any concern. It is only when she becomes surrounded by admirers does he become concerned, more so by the attention she is getting than anything else.

Does she get annoyed if someone close to her and especially Arthur talk fondly or in a good manner about Rhaegar or Lyanna? In the beginning, Vaesella shuts down. Or she tries to change the topic. Or she makes up an excuse to walk away. Over time, she does grow accustomed to others talking about Rhaegar and Lyanna in both negative and positive ways, but when she does engage, it is with a thousand-yard look in her eyes. 

Is Rhaegar going to have more children? Yes. After Aenar, he has Maekar and then Daenys. Aenar wedding Daenerys will be the only Targ/Targ marriage for their generation. Maekar and Daenys are married into other suitable noble houses when they are of an age to do so. 

After how long does she finally come to forgive and truly love Arthur? Between six to eight months into their stay in Pentos, Arthur learns of her plan to take on a paramour to punish him for helping Rhaegar. He confronts her, confesses his love for her in a moving little speech, and he tells her that either they work on their marriage or he writes to Rhaegar and they part ways after securing an annulment. Vaesella, moved by Arthur’s declaration, agrees to give him a chance and accepts his proposal to court her. After this she finds it in her heart to forgive him and starts to fall in love with him in the months that follow this event.

After watching House of the Dragon and becoming incredibly invested in the story, i decided to create an OC within the HOTD universe.

So here is my OC Alyssa Targaryen!

Underneath the cut i am going to put some info and background on her.

Alyssa Targaryen is born in 111AC to Lady Rhea Royce and Daemon Targaryen.

In 115AC Alyssa’s mother dies in a horse riding accident and Alyssa(4) is soon after moved to live with her uncle, King Viserys, as her father is at war in the Stepstones.

10 years later in 125AC, Alyssa(14) has a long lasting affair with her cousin, Aegon Targaryen(18) with the consent of his sister-wife Helaena Targaryen(16).

Soon after the suicide of Helaena Targaryen(21), Alyssa(19) and Aegon(24) are married.

Alyssa(19) falls pregnant after the consummation of their marriage, giving birth to a healthy baby boy, Maekar Targaryen in 130AC.

Only a year later, Aegon Targaryen(25) is poisoned, forcing Alyssa to run away to Pentos with Maekar in hopes of not being killed by the new king Viserys II.

At the very start of the year 132AC, Maekar dies in his cradle from the flu.

Alyssa dies a few weeks later from starvation in grief from the death of her son, husband and all of her family.

Okayyy so obviously her life is absolutely tragic and but i thought it worked very well with the original story and still seems realistic.

I also made an overall timeline with all the relevant info, this took absolutely forever so i would love if people could read through and see if it is accurate <3

But King Aegon VII, who has been compared to Maegor The Cruel, prefers to satisfy his appetites among his lovers, the desire for war and his dragon Drogon, finally breaking down the barriers that are imposed to unify the Six Kingdoms with The North, Essos and destroy The Iron Islands besides the Faith of The Seven creating a collapse in the known world.

Only Jaelara will be able to change the course of this, impending the tragedy that her brother will bring as the Doom of Valyria was, if she stops her brother's madness their dragons will not die, even when her sister Viserra conspires against her to take the throne as queen.

A/N: Ah Maekar. He was actually the first Targaryen I ever cared out writing for (in old works that are awfully written lol) and it was Maekar x oc that made me come up with the idea for Aegon I Targaryen x Stark!Reader. This one shot was actually a little difficult to write, sadly. It just felt like it took quite longer than others to get some idea for his characterization. I hope you all enjoy it never the less!

Catching Maekar off guard hadn't been your intention when you went looking for him. You had only wanted him to finally come to bed after the both of you had had a very long day of council  meetings.

Knowing exactly where he was - and having finished your nightly routine without an appearance from him - you made your way from your bedchambers to the King’s study. 

The candle on his desk had burnt so low it was nearly out, and your husband had his back to the door, staring out the large window at the city below. His arms were tucked behind his back and he was standing tall; he was the very imagine of a King.

Taking a brief moment to admire the muscles of his back, you advanced further into the room. It was as you wrapped your arms around him and whispered his name that he jumped - caught off guard by your sudden appearance. 

“Y/n,” Maekar cursed, turning to glare down at you with harsh purple eyes

You were only surprised by his surprise for half a second before bursting into laughter. You couldn’t believe that your stern and grumpy husband had been so lost in thought that he would let his guard down. And to let it down enough for you to scare him, even for a moment.

Calming down some, you placed your hands to his chest and purred, “Oh, did I scare you, Big Boy?”

The glare Maekar threw you nearly sent you into another wave of laughter.

“Come on, Love, don’t be like that.” you murmured pressing your lips to his jaw, “Don’t be upset with me. I’m only teasing.”

The youngest son of Daeron the Good had never smiled or laughed easily. He was too stoic and hardened by life for that.

“I am busy, wife. What did you need?” he grumbled, turning away and moving to take a seat at his desk. 

Pouting at him for not being a poor sport, you followed after him while saying, “For my husband to come to bed.” the two of you had been married for so many years. You had gotten too used to having him beside you to have an easy time sleeping alone. 

When he didn't respond, you sat yourself on the side of the desk and reached out to grab his chin forcing him to look at you. “Your Grace,” you murmured, “I understand that you have a lot of work to do. And its very important to the realm. But you need to rest.”

Your husband grabbed your wrist, but did nothing to remove it from his face. Instead, his thumb slowly rubbed circles into your skin. “What did I do to deserve such a frustrating wife?” Maekar growled as he stood and moved his hand from your wrist to the side of your neck. 

“I could ask the same thing about you.” you pointed out with a smirk.

“Frustrating and mouthy.” His lips slammed into yours, molding immediately with your own as you gladly returned the kiss.

Your marriage often lacked conversation, neither one of you good with words, but when it came to physical touch, neither of you were of short reply. Maekar, being a warrior, knew how to use his strong, tall build to say what he verbally couldn’t. And you had adapted your own language to match his not long into your betrothal.

The kiss was rough, and many would say that Maekar appeared angry, but you knew him better than anyone else. And you knew it was just his way. He could never be called a gentle lover, but he was still attentive and sweet in his own way.

“You’ve never complained before.” you whispered against his lips, your arms circling his neck and your legs moving to wrap around his hips. 

A deep chuckle came from Maekar, his hands moving to grip your back and hold you to him, “I have complained. You just never listen.”

And you laughed because he was right. 

But only because you knew even with Maekar being the King of the Seven Kingdoms that you could get away with mouthing off and ignoring his commands. Over the course of your marriage, you had shown to be a loyal and faithful wife and when it came to truly important matters the two of you had always been a well oiled team, always supporting the other even if the rest of the world did not.

“If I did listen, you would never sleep and would put yourself into an early grave.” you murmured, placing a brief kiss to his cheek “And the realm could not handle that. We’ve already lost so much.”

His father, his mother, his elder three brothers, his nephews, his niece, two sons…

Your heart ached at the thought and tears pricked in your eyes at all your family had lost in such a short amount of time.

“I’m not going to die in my office.” Maekar reassured you, his thumbs brushing away any stray tears from your cheeks, “I’m a soldier. I’ll die a soldier in the field fighting to protect you and our remaining children.”

That only made your heart hurt more.

The thought of him dying alone without you there at his side to reassure him that you and the children would be alright...it made you tear up all over again.

“Y/n,” Maekar sighed pulling you against him, his hand on the back of your head as you tucked your face into his neck, “I’ll have none of that.” He hated to see you cry. He used to get angry and rant, but now he watched you with a well hidden look of pain and worry.

“I..I can’t lose you too, Maekar.” you sobbed softly with a harsh shake of your head, “I..I just….Baelor, Valaar, Matarys, Aerys, Rhaegel Aerion, Daeron, your parents...the twins...I just….it’s all too much to bear for one family.”

Your husband didn’t say anything in return, but you knew he felt the same pain. For Baelor, he felt even more so for it had been Maekar who had dealt the blow that caused the accidental death of the then Prince of Dragonstone.

You weren’t sure how long you stayed there, wrapped in his arms and crying into his shoulder, but eventually Maekar picked you up and carried you through the keep back to the King’s bed chambers. His Kingsguard said nothing, all of them looking away out of respect for their Queen who was having a moment of weakness.

You knew when you woke up the next morning you would feel so embarrassed by your emotional outburst; you had never been one for such things. But at that moment you didn’t care.

Maekar laid you in bed and stripped out of his clothes before joining you, his arms wrapping tightly around you as you continued to cry softly into his chest.

“We all die eventually,” Maekar spoke into the darkness, “You will outlive me. I demand it. And you will continue to rein in our fiercely independent and stubborn children. You will watch over the next King and lend him your ear and words as you have lent them to me.” his fingers brushed through your hair just as his lips pressed into your forehead.

“I won’t be long for this world with you gone from it.” you murmured, glancing up at him

Your souls had been bound together with time, love, and understanding. You refused to be parted from him for too long.

He sighed, “You will set our children on their paths, and then you may join me in...whatever comes after this life” he conceded after a moment, seemingly choosing to not argue with your stubbornness any further.

Nodding, you placed a tired kiss to his lips, “That sounds like a compromise I can live with.”

After all, what was a little bit of pain from missing him when you would spend eternity with him in the beyond?
