They had been so alike growing up,  it scared Alicent how could it be two of them. She loved Aemond immensely but he was impulsive and destructive. Although Princess Vaenna masked it well with that playful side of hers, the queen knew even the most tame materials could explode under extreme heat. And the princess was anything but tame. 

It was more worrisome when Aemond’s eyes lit up upon hearing of the twins' visit to King’s Landing, a baneful glint of anticipation danced behind his dilated pupils. Like wildfire, like a wasted field after a battle., Even so, Alicent Hightower tried to remain hopeful. Perhaps the years had tempered Princess Vaenna, perhaps she was a proper lady now.

Only the Seven could tell what laid in front of them.

The differences between Naelle and Vaenna were immeasurable. Yet the sisters did have one common trait, at some point in their childhood they had looked over the night sky and wished under the gods’ watchful eyes that they had been born a man. One for war, for the passion too grand to be held on such a delicate body. The other for love, so the words she wanted to utter wouldn’t disgrace her as much as they suffocated by residing inside her throat. 

Both had wished it for freedom.
