I decided to make a self-insert character for Magic: The Gathering! Meet Jasper Clark*, a planeswalker from New Capenna who's thrown their lot in with the Brokers and who has some...interesting features if you look too closely. (Cough, I used wolf teeth instead of human teeth, even if you can't see it in the snarl.) They're one of the best enforcers that Falco Spara has, though they're a lot more shady than most Brokers appear to be and have something of a chaotic streak. They wield fire magic first and foremost, though they naturally know law magic and shield magic thanks to their Broker training. No one is really sure where they got their sword, but no one's been brave enough to try and take it away from them.
In addition to New Capenna, they've ducked to a few other planes - such as Ixalan, Innistrad, and Kamigawa. Currently, they're doing work on Thunder Junction, because Spara has some reservations about a certain vampire lawman there...
#jasper post#personal#self insert#magic the gathering#planeswalker#new capenna#i opted for a magic scar over the glasses i wear irl because i have literally burnt water before and i like how the lava crackles look#heroforge is so good for making your ocs in y'all you should really give it a shot#my surname is not clark but i liked how it went with my name :D

Lost
Part 2
word count - 1958
The morning sun began peeking over the horizon, Y/N stirred awake, the blazing sun began beating down on her and the survivors on the exposed beach. The exhausted survivors had all eventually succumbed to sleep right there on the open beach, too drained to find shelter.
Y/N sat up, brushing sand off her clothes as she took in the first light of day. Despite the wreckage scattered down the shoreline, the sunrise over the now calm ocean was peaceful and almost blindingly bright after the dark storm.
Needing to move and gather her thoughts, Y/N decided to take a walk along the water's edge. She hadn't gone far when movement up ahead caught her eye.
As Y/N walked down the beach, she noticed the tall, curly-haired guy with freckles emerging from the tree line carrying coconuts. His muscular arms cradled several coconuts as he made his way towards the makeshift camp. She altered her course and approached him.
"Hey stranger, I don't think we were properly introduced last night. I'm Y/N," she acknowledged, the waves blending into each other behind her.
The guy set down the coconuts and turned to her with a hint of a smirk. "Bellamy. No need for introductions though, I think we're a bit past pleasantries at this point." His tone had a sarcastic edge.
Y/N raised an eyebrow at his snarky remark but continued politely. "Well, still, I wanted to say thanks for your help out there Bellamy. We need to work together if we want to survive." Bellamy let out a derisive huff.
"Yeah, 'cause sitting around singing kumbaya is really going to get us out of this mess. We need to figure out how to actually live out here, princess."
Y/N crossed her arms, put off by his abrasiveness. "Fine, if you have a better idea then please share with the group. Otherwise we could use some more coconuts."
She gave him a challenging look. Bellamy's dark eyes glinted with a mix of annoyance and amusement. "Whatever the hell you want," he retorted.
Y/N shook her head and continued her walk. So much for pleasantries. Bellamy's attitude clearly said he wasn't here to make friends. She hoped they could eventually find some common ground.
---
Y/N headed back to rejoin the group of survivors, hoping to raise the idea of building shelter. When she reached the ragged encampment, she saw Bellamy had already returned and was sitting off to the side looking irritated, as always.
She addressed the crowd. "It's only going to get hotter. We need to start thinking about constructing some basic cover and finding food and water sources." There were murmurs of assent among the group.
"We can use salvaged luggage and plane debris," Y/N continued. "Does anyone have other ideas?"
From his corner, Bellamy scoffed loudly. "Yeah, I've got a question. Who put you in charge, princess? We don't need your orders."
Y/N shot him a glare. "I'm not ordering anyone. I'm trying to help figure out a survival plan, since no one else is taking the initiative."
Bellamy stood up and stalked towards her. "Well maybe we should have an actual vote, instead of letting you appoint yourself leader." His dark eyes bored challengingly into hers.
Tension crackled between them. Before Y/N could respond, another voice spoke up, defusing the situation. The blonde, you found out was named Clarke, suggested a systematic approach to organizing the shocked survivors, and assigning roles.
Clarke approached Y/N separately from the group, her eyes filled with determination. "I saw smoke coming from the woods yesterday," she said, her voice hushed but urgent. "There could be more survivors out there. We should gather a group and head out to search while everyone else works on getting things set up here."
Y/N was taken aback by Clarke's suggestion. She eyed the now working survivors, some of whom were injured and others who were still recovering from the trauma of losing their loved ones.
“We should bring others with us, Bellamy, Jasper, maybe Raven too.” With a swift look around, she sucked in a deep breath before speaking again. “We'll leave in five, okay?” she stated before grabbing her bag.
Y/N headed over to where Bellamy was shirtless, his muscles glistening with sweat as he worked on constructing shelters from the bamboo.
She couldn't help but notice the gun tucked into his waistband. Clearing her throat, Y/N approached him, her gaze flickering briefly to the weapon before meeting his eyes. To her surprise, she found him smiling, a glint of amusement dancing in his eyes.
Y/N wasted no time in getting to the point. "I need you to come with us to the woods," she stated bluntly, her voice leaving no room for argument. "You have a gun, and we might need it out there."
Bellamy's grin widened at her directness, a smirk playing at the corners of his lips as he nodded exaggeratedly. "Oh, lucky me," he replied with a mockingly enthusiastic tone. "Just what I've always wanted - a chance to play hero in the wilderness."
Despite his sarcastic demeanor, there was a hint of seriousness in Bellamy's expression as he straightened up, his gaze meeting Y/N's with a determined glint.
"Alright, I'll grab my gear," he conceded, his tone more earnest now. "Just give me a minute." With a roll of her eyes, Y/N watched as Bellamy gathered his supplies.
---
The relentless heat of the jungle weighed heavily on Y/N's shoulders as she trudged through the dense foliage alongside Bellamy, Raven, Clarke, and Jasper. The suffocating humidity seemed to sap their energy with every step, but they pressed on, driven by the hope of finding more survivors or supplies.
After what felt like an eternity of trekking through the sweltering wilderness, Y/N's sharp eyes caught a glimpse of something metallic glinting through the thick canopy of trees. “No way.” She exclaimed, she motioned to the others, their pace quickening as they raced towards the source of the glimmering light.
They burst into the clearing, Y/N's heart skipped a beat at the sight of the downed plane, its twisted wreckage strewn across the valley, but the cockpit was untouched in the tall trees.
Raven quickly took up a position to keep watch, while Clarke excused herself to tend to a pressing matter, leaving Y/N and Bellamy to investigate the cockpit.
"We need to check the cockpit," she said firmly, her voice leaving no room for argument. "Let's go." Bellamy nodded as he followed Y/N, their hands and feet finding purchase on the gnarled branches as they ascended. After what felt like an eternity of precarious climbing, they finally reached the cockpit.
With a determined nod, Bellamy took charge, his muscles tensing as he prepared to breach the cockpit door. "Stand back," he instructed Y/N, his voice firm as he readied himself. With a powerful kick, Bellamy broke through the door, the metal groaning in protest as it gave way to reveal the scene inside.
Y/N's heart lurched at the sight of the unconscious pilot slumped over the controls, his hands limp and lifeless.
She pushed Bellamy aside, rushing into the cockpit as she checked for any signs of life. She placed her ear over his face, his light breaths fanning her face. "He's alive," she announced.
the pilot stirred to consciousness, his eyes flew open in terror, his body jolting upright in a panic. Y/N and Bellamy rushed to his side, their hands gently but firmly restraining him as they tried to calm his frantic movements.
"Easy now," Y/N urged soothingly, her voice a comforting presence amidst the chaos. "You're safe. You're with us."
Bellamy echoed her sentiments, his voice steady as he reassured the pilot that he was in good hands. Outside, Raven's voice cut through the trees, her concern palpable as she called out to them.
"Is everything okay in there?" she yelled with urgency. Bellamy quickly responded, his voice carrying a note of assurance. "Yes, we're fine," he called back, his words intended to allay Raven's fears.
As the pilot's breathing gradually slowed, he sputtered, his voice hoarse as he struggled to speak. "What... what happened?" he mumbled, confusion evident in his eyes. Y/N exchanged a glance with Bellamy, her mind racing with the weight of their predicament.
But before she could respond, the pilot began to recount the events of the crash, his words painting a grim picture of their desperate situation. Y/N leaned in closer, her eyes locked on his as she listened intently.
He explained that the plane had lost radio contact six hours after takeoff, prompting a desperate turn back towards Fiji. But before they could reach safety, they had encountered unexpected turbulence, sending the aircraft hurtling towards the ground.
“We need to figure out how to get a message out for help." Bellamy nodded silently, his gaze scanning the cramped confines of the cockpit for any sign of a communication device. strange roaring noise echoed through the jungle outside of the cockpit. The pilot was seized by something outside the plane, his screams piercing the air with terror.
Y/n let out a scream almost stumbling out of the cockpit. Bellamy wasted no time, grabbing the transceiver and fled from the cockpit and pulling y/n along with him as they scrambled down from the tree.
"Raven! Clarke! Run!" Y/N yelled at the top of her lungs, her voice a desperate plea as she and Bellamy sprinted through the dense foliage.
Raven and Clarke snapped their necks at the sounds of the creature. their eyes widening in alarm as they caught sight of the fear etched on Y/N and Bellamy's faces. Both of broke out into a run, their footsteps echoing through the underbrush as they raced to safety.
Y/N's heart sank at the sight of Jasper, frozen in place amidst the trees.
With a sinking feeling in her stomach, she called out to him. "Jasper! Run!" she shouted, but it was too late. At the sound of her voice, Jasper's eyes widened in fear, and he turned on his heel, bolting through the trees in a blind panic.
The branches smacked her in the face as she ran, sweat making her shirt heavy. She could hear Jasper's heavy breathing and the sound of his feet pounding against the forest floor.
Jasper stumbled and fell to the ground Y/N looked back, debating her choices before she turned back, her feet carrying her swiftly to Jasper's side.
“Jasper come on, we have to go. Please!” she begged, Jasper's body shook as he tried to speak, but no words came out. Jasper took a deep breath and finally spoke. “I...I can't do this anymore, Y/N. Leave me.”
Anger filled y/n’s body as she heard the creature roar again. “Shut up Jasper, get up.” With Y/N's support, Jasper struggled to her feet, her eyes wide with terror as she clung to Y/N's arm for support, their legs pushing through the tangled undergrowth.
Bellamy and Raven continued to run, their breath coming in ragged gasps as they pushed themselves to the limit. Fear coursed through their veins, driving them forward with a singular focus - survival.
After what felt like an eternity, the unseen monster finally relented, its presence fading into the depths of the jungle. With a collective sigh of relief, the group reunited, their faces pale as they surveyed their surroundings.
Their relief was short lived as they turned their gaze upwards, they recoiled in horror at the sight that greeted them - the pilot's mangled body suspended in a treetop.
Silence descended over the group as they took in the gruesome scene before them. Raven recoiled at the sight, gagging next to Clarke as she said, “"Guess that's what they mean by 'flying high,' huh?”

Red Sky At Morning - THE 100 REWRITE Chapter Twenty-Six
[THE 100 MASTERLIST]
Previous Chapter / Next Chapter (07/03/2024)
Summary: The group followed the map drawn in Lincoln's book to the sea but found no one there. Or so they thought. It wazsn't until night that the grounders they were looking for came for them and brought them to the one and only, Luna. But she wouldn't easily be convinced to help them, if she would be at all.
Words: 5.4k
Warnings: The 100 season 3 spoilers (episode 13 "Join or Die"; episode 14 "Red sky at morning"), same title as episode 14/ancient rhyme used by Sailors "Red sky at night, sailor's delight/Red sky at morning, sailor take warning"; fluff/romance, angst, a little blood, some violence
“It’s been an hour since we passed the airplane wreckage.” Jasper noted, following the map drawn on a double page in Lincoln’s notebook. The drawing was especially faithful, and Michelle was impressed by the Grounder’s skills. They wouldn’t have as much trouble driving around through the forest if he were still alive, but they didn’t have time to think in what if. “Seeing as we are using a map without any distances, it could be days before we reach Luna’s village.”
“At least we know we’re going in the right direction.” Bellamy retorted, focused on the road as he drove the Rover, Clarke in the passenger seat next to him. The confrontation with Emerson could have been messier, they were all there sitting at the back of the vehicle, except for Raven, Harper and Miller who stayed back. Michelle was slumped, staring into space while listening to the conversation quietly.
“We’re running out of daylight. We should stop in the sun, recharge the battery.”
“What sun? We keep going until it dies.” Clarke wasn’t wrong. One look through the window was enough to see the dark grey sky. It rained cats and dogs the whole time and stopped not that long ago. The trees were wet, their foliage and branches drooping under the weight of the water that fallen on them and gathered in the creases of the leaves, weighing down the wood.
“We keep going until we get to Luna.” Octavia chimed in. Both Clarke and Michelle gave the girl a look out of the corner of their eyes while thunder sounded in the distance and rain started falling heavily again. Octavia was understandably bitter at the whole situation, and no one really said anything. Jasper then flipped the notebook’s pages and showed another drawing to Octavia; a portrait of a woman with a thick head of hair. Her gaze, even as a drawing, was striking and severe. Octavia confirmed that it was the Luna in question.
“What do you think she’s gonna say when we show up to put an A.I. in her head?” Jasper asked sarcastically.
“Lincoln said she helps those that are in trouble. She’ll help us too.” Octavia declared. The three at the back were shaken when Bellamy suddenly pulled the car to a full stop, tires screeching in the muddy path. As she was slouched, Michelle slid off her seat and leaned on it to stand up, bending forward to peek out of the windshield while Jasper and Octavia kept talking about Luna and whether or not she would help.
“Backtrack.” Bellamy said in a low voice. Trees had fallen because of the thunder and were lying right across the road, blocking the way. “We’ll find somewhere where the trees aren’t so bad. Hey!” Octavia opened the backdoor and jumped out of the Rover. She wasn’t going to wait around and decided without a word that the whole ground would continue on foot. They all got out of the vehicle, following her in the rain. Michelle took off her father’s jacket, still wearing hers underneath, and put it over her head too keep dry. Jasper glanced at her after noticing she had two.
She shrugged, “What? I got mine and my dad’s, gotta make use of it.” He shrugged as well, nodding. While the others started running off, he rose his voice.
“Anyone hear the part where I said it could be days?”
“Stop.” Octavia stopped in her tracks, raising her hand. Water was rushing loudly nearby, and she looked around. She turned to Clarke. “you hear that?”
“Water.” The two girls took off and Bellamy still tried to warn them about whoever they could run into. Whoever might be there, they could indeed be hostile for all they knew. Michelle’s jacket fell down her head and onto her shoulders and she found herself too lazy to put it back up, and it was useless anyway, the rain had stopped already. One minute it was pouring, the other barely a few drops crashing on their scalps.
“They’re not hostile. Put the guns down.” Octavia then claimed, looking at her brothers before continuing to walk away. Michelle was standing next to him as Jasper joined the girls, her dad’s jacket resting on her shoulders as if it were a cloak when Bellamy put a hand on her backa dn they started running after their friends, going down the river cutting through the forest. They reached the sea a minute later, fog hanging over the body of water, but no village. It was silent, no more thunder either. Looking around, they saw a piece of land with piles of rock set up in a circle. Octavia checked the notebook. The stone circle was drawn on it, but there wasn’t any Grounder village. Maybe their village was further into the sea and not visible from shore. She ran to the stones, followed by the rest of the group.
“Isn’t a village. It’s just a bunch of rocks.”
“No shit.” Michelle said under her breath, slipping her arms back into her dad’s jacket’s sleeves now that they stopped running around.
“She’s gone.” Clarke said, desperate. Michelle then voiced her assumption, that the village was out in the sea, but it still didn’t help them figure out what to do now. Clarke turned around, following their gaze as they watched Octavia walk to the edge and kneel, leaning on the rocks as she let out a scream. The rest of them just looked at each other in a heavy silence. Eventually, they decided on making a fire. Bellamy was walking back and forth, bringing wood. Clarke stood up.
“It’ll be dark soon. We need to talk about what we’re gonna do.”
“We waitr until first light, and then we split up and search the shore in both directions.” Octavia declared without taking her eyes off of what she was doing, rubbing two long sticks together trying to start the fire, panting with the effort. When she saw a sparkle, she leaned forward and blew on it. A white smoke grew from it. She careful moved it to the pieces of wood set up at the center of the stone circle and kept blowing on it with Jasper. The fire then spread and grew over the wood. It was at least one good thing done.
“I agree. Lincoln wouldn’t have put this spot on the map unless it was important.”
“Yeah, if their village is out in the sea, maybe they come to check this spot to see if there’s anyone, and with the fire, hopefully they’ll see we’re here trying to make contact.” Michelle added, looking at Bellamy. He bent forward, picking up the notebook as she spoke and Octavia smacked his hand, urgning him to not touch it. He kept quiet for a second before crouching down. Clarke then agreed with her friend and the two moved closer to Jasper, on the other side of the fire while Bellamy attempted to talk to his sister, who was just ignoring him.
“Come on, O. How long?”
“I don’t know. I can’t even look at you…” She indeed avoided looking at him while she cracked some sticks, adding them to fuel the fire znd keep it going. She spoke through gritted teeth, staring at the flames, “because every time I do, I see Pike putting that gun to Lincoln’s head. I hear the gunshot. I see him fall.”
“I didn’t kill Lincoln.”
“No, but he is dead because of you.” She stood up, her tone rising with anger. Michelle, Clarke and Jasper were crouched by the fire, trying not to stare at the two siblings but it was obviously a little akward to be there in silence, in front of such a conversation.
“I came to you. You didn’t take my help. If you had just trusted me, I…” She threw her wood on the ground, and it fell, the pieces clattering against each other as she seemingly gave up talking to him, crouching down again. Clarke and Michelle stood up, looking at Bellamy walking away along the shore, alone. Jasper sighed and threw something in the fire, which turned the flame a weird shade of green.
“What did you just do?” Octavia enquired.
“Nothing. I just threw these in the fire.” He held a branch in his hand. Octavia stared at it as if she had just thought of something and picked up Lincoln’s book at her feet. She found a piece of a branch of the same tree in between some of the pages.
“Ugh. Signal fire. He was trying to tell us. Michelle, you were right. They must be watching this place, waiting for that signal. This is how we contact Luna.”
“I’ll get more.” He threw one more bit into the flames and ran around to get others. The three girls smiled at the discovery but Clarke and Michelle both looked over their shoulders at Bellamy, still walking away in the distance.
“Should we leave him alone or should I…?” Michelle wondered quietly. Clarke motioned for her to go after him, adding that she would join them later. Michelle didn’t plan on trying to talk to him about his situation with his sister, he wouldn’t like that. She wouldn’t like it if he tried to come up to her to if she was in such a situation with her father, which she used to, back when she was with Murphy and he knew it wasn’t his place to really say anything, and right now it was basically the same. It wasn’t exactly her place to try to tell him what he should or shouldn’t do. He gave her a glance when he noticed her approach as he just stood there, facing the open sea, his arms crossed. She just tried to give him a smile as she sat down on a rock and his face relaxed a little. Michelle closed her eyes, the strands of hair falling along her face and stuck under her jacket, blown by the breeze, the sea wind caressing her skin. Her arms wrapped around her knees, she let her mind wander and lose itself in her memories. her mind quickly spiralled out of control, and she couldn't think about anything but how much she was worried about her father in Polis. She had a bad feeling. Her face reflected her trouble and her brows furrowed, her lips tightening. She rested the side of her face on her knees, looking at Bellamy and the forest sideways.
“Are you okay?” She asked quietly.
“I’m fine.” He, at first, responded quite harshly, though she obviously didn’t take offense. His eyes wandered back to the fire where his sister still was. She straightened up, looking up at him. It was easy to tell he was saddened by how downhill his relationship with Octavia went, and there was no one but himself to blame. He did choose to side with Pike and let the latter get to his head. He almost lost any chance of Michelle and him ever being a thing as well. He looked at her, his eyes glossy, widened in fear that the damage he did to their relationship was undoable. “Michelle, I think I’ve lost her.”
“Give her time, Bellamy.” She stood up, facing him, her hand softly holding his arm as she gave him a compassionate look. “She’s gonna need lots of it. And there may be blood on your hands, but it’s not Lincoln’s. That was Pike.”
“He did it because of me. I let him.” He slightly shook his head, glancing at the fire, his eyes getting glossier as he struggled to keep the tears at bay.
“Pike wouldn’t do something just because of you. You didn’t want that to happen. You tried to stop it. Octavia will forgive you eventually…” He looked away from her as a tear rolled along his cheek and randomly glanced at the forest behind him to try to hide it. Michelle frowned in concern, taking a heavy breath and turning his face back to her with her hand, wiping away the tear with her hand holding his cheek. “Question is, will you forgive yourself?”
“Forgiveness is hard for us.” His eyes were wet, and his bottom lip quivered as he looked at the fire again. She followed his gaze and saw Octavia stare at them before turning around and walk away, a plank of wood under her arm.
“I’m not Octavia but, I get it.” Her hand slid off his face and rested on his shoulder. He watched her attentively as she spoke. “It took me weeks to forgive my dad – for something he wasn’t even responsible for but anyway… took me some time to forgive you for choosing the wrong side too. But what did it for me was that both my dad and you showed that you were sorry for whatever happened, whatever you did... And I grew to love my dad, I didn’t wanna be mad anymore, and I—” Michelle cut herself off, looking into the distance, towards the sea. She pursed her lips, pressing them against each other. She knew what she wanted to say outloud and maybe it was the right time. With a sigh, briefly closing her eyes before looking back at him, she added; “I love you.” But she quickly went on to say something else, a little embarrassed by her confession which was ironic since they did already kiss and sleep together a few times, “Your sister loves you too, Bellamy. She will forgive you, give it time. She’s angry but one day, she won’t want to feel this way anymore.”
“Michelle.” His brows furrowed sadly as a couple more tears fell from his eyes, and he turned his head to wipe them off with his fist. She gently held his face and drew him into a kiss. He then wrapped his arms around her waist, holding her tightly and buried her face in her hair and she in his neck as he whispered to her ear, “I love you too.”
“Could you have imagined, when we landed on the ground, that we would say stuff like this?” He chuckled, a sob breaking through his laugh as he held her tighter. She didn’t exactly remember how she felt about him in the beginning, but she remembered she didn’t really like him. He was somewhat cocky and acted so sure of himself, but she smiled, remembering it was him who showed her how to use a gun, though she did have beforehand knowledge on those weapons. She had no knowledge of what it was like to love someone like this, but now she did, and she only had him to thank for it. Her lips quivered, thinking of her father out of the blue but she was way more worried than she would ever admit out loud. It wasn’t just a bad feeling. She was terrified to find out whether he took the chip, and whether she would have to kill him which she wouldn’t be able to do so, if no one killed him, he would kill her, because of Alie’s grasp over him and the fact she would never take the chip. She held Bellamy tighter as well, feeling like she had already lost her father. She was getting ahead of herself too much and she knew it, but she couldn’t help but let her mind spiral. She would keep it to herself for now, it didn’t feel the right time to draw attention to her own troubles.
They were staring off into the distance, standing in the dark of night, still on the shore, when Clarke finally joined them. The trio began to talk about Octavia again and Clarke thought the same as Michelle, she would forgive him if he gave her enough time. They talked about when Clarke left them, how angry he felt but that he didn’t want to feel this way anymore and what Michelle said earlier seemed to clock in. As they were comforting each other, saying they were there for each other, Bellamy turned his head towards the sea and alerted them when he saw figures stick out the water. They were taken by surprise, tackled to the ground forcefully, grunting. Michelle felt warmth around her eyebrow and felt the blood drip on her eylid. She had been slammed on the sand so hard, her face hit a rock, but it was better than the concussion she got the last time she hit her head. The strangers put something on their mouth before tying and gagging them and bringing them back to the fire, where a few other of them were holding at gunpoint, but with crossbows. Octavia and Jasper held their hands up while the three others were forced on their knees. The Grounder addressed Octavia in trigedasleng. From what Michelle made out of it, it sounded like questions.
“Why should we give you safe passage?” The man then asked in English.
“Lincoln.” He glanced at his companions upon hearing the Grounder’s name. “He sent us.” He then spoke again in their language and the people standing behind Bellamy, Michelle and Clarke removed their gags and frees them.
“What’s going on?” Bellamy questioned in a whisper. Octavia had no idea either. The Grounder took a few steps towards her and handed her something.
“What is that?” Clarke asked.
“Safe passage.” He said as he gave one to each of them.
“Octavia, wait.” Bellamy rose his voice when his sister drank whatever it was in the little vial. Her only response was that she trusted Lincoln, and the Grounder that gave them those specified that if she was the only one to agree to drink this, she would be the only one to go. Michelle was the first to follow her lead and drink the content in one go. Bellamy repeated himself, grabbing her arm too late, she had already drunk. The two girls looked at each other, Michelle knew she was feeling this same weird way as she did. She felt all her strength gradually leave her body. Her vision got blurry as she fought to stay up but when she took a step to balance her weight on her feet, her knee bent and her leg way under her and she collapsed to the sand, her head turned towards Bellamy as he caught her in her fall. His face was the last thing she saw before it went dark.
She frowned, awakened by a ray of sunlight, and leaned on her hand to sit up. The others had woken up too, and everyone was looking around in complete confusion, having no idea where they had ended up. They were locked in a large, rusted container, and sunrays penetrated through holes in the metal here and there. Their guns were gone, and Octavia realized she didn’t have her sword anymore. She banged on the wall and soon after, whether or not it was related, the doors at the end of the container opened, blinding the group for a moment as a woman entered, her face hidden at first as she stood against the light but it quickly became clear that it was Luna that was in front of them.
“Where’s Lincoln?”
“Lincoln is dead.” Octavia told her.
“Lincoln said that you would help us.” Clarke stepped in.
“Did he?”
“Luna, you’re the last of your kind, the last nightblood.”
“So Lexa’s dead as well.”
“Her spirit has chosen you to become the next commander. Titus entrusted me with the flame to give to you.”
“Then he should have told you that I left my conclave swearing to never kill again.”
“You don’t have to kill. To lead is your birthright. How you lead is your choice. Here.” She stepped towards Luna, holding the small box in which she kept the flame and handed it over to her. She carefully brought her hands to her to observe the small object.
“I recognize the sacred symbol, but what is that?”
“This is the flame that holds the spirits of the commanders, of Lexa. Will you take it and become the next commander?” They all hung on Luna’s lips, waiting for her answer, hoping she would take it. The suspenseful silence was broken by her negative answer as she rolled Clarke’s fingers over the flame and pushed her fist away upon her refusal. They couldn’t believe they had come all this way for it to be over so quickly. Clarke glanced at her friends before running after Luna, calling out to her. She didn’t stop or turn back to them and just walked away. It was the group who stopped in their tracks, looking around in bewilderment. They were on a huge platform, an oil rig like the one Michelle saw on pictures, in the middle of the ocean.
“Everywhere I looked, there were fins. And teeth. And blood. I knew if they saw me, I’d be next, so I just floated there, waiting, praying they’d swim on.” Michelle stared into space listening with one ear the girl reading poetry in the hall of the Oil Rig. None of them was really paying attention. They were waiting, hoping for Luna to agree to help them and take the flame. A door opened and she entered.
“She’s here. Maybe she changed her mind.” Bellamy told the group, Clarke, Michelle and him standing up to go meet with her.
“The boats return at nightfall. Then you leave. Forever.”
“Luna, let us explain—” Clarke was cut off by the Grounder.
“I said no.”
“No, you need to hear this.” Bellamy stepped in front of her. She eventually looked at him. “There’s something out ther that is going to destroy us all.”
“Whatever it is, it can’t reach us here.” She walked pasted the trio and went to Octavia, telling her they needed to talk. Jasper took it as his cue to leave and got up, leaving the two women. Once Luna left, they returned to sit beside Octavia, having to wait it out since she was so against taking the flame and coming with them. In the distance, Jasper was chatting with the girl who recited poetry a moment ago.
“Jasper’s actually smiling.” Bellamy noted. He followed Clarke’s gaze as she looked at Luna, cuddling with her lover against the wall.
“Clarke. Let it go.” The latter glanced over at her best friend and shook her head.
“We can’t just leave.”
“It’s not like we have much of a choice.” Octavia added, fidgeting with a tiny piece of wood.
“Maybe we do.”
“What are you talking about?” Bellamy enquired.
“I’m talking about putting this into her head without asking.”
“Clarke, we can’t do this.” Michelle leaned towards her.
“We can fight and go back to Arkadia. We arm up.” He added, agreeing with his girlfriend.
“Fight who?” She questioned. “It’s an army of our own people. I don’t like this any more than you do. But if Raven’s right, and the code on this thing can stop Alie…” Two Grounders came in shouting in their native language; She paused, glancing over her shoulder before turning her head back to her friends, looking a little hopeless. “Give me a better idea.”
“We’ll stay here. It’s the only way they’ll leave you alone with her.” Bellamy concluded. As Clarke was about to stand up, she was briefly stopped by Octavia addressing her.
“Even Alie gives people a choice.”
“We gave Luna a choice. She said no.” He shrugged, exchanging a glance with Michelle and Clarke, nodding at one another before the blonde finally got up and walked away. They met up again once it was dark, and dark it was out in the open sea. Aside from the light of the moon shining on the waves, and a few spotlights on the rig, it was pitch black out there and the whole oil rig was dead silent, as everyone was asleep. They were being led back to the container in which they awakened this morning as they were going to be brought back to shore. Luna was waiting for them by the container. Jasper wasn’t with the group and according to Clarke, he was saying goobye to his new friend, not that Michelle cared much what he was doing right now. They opened the doors and a group of Grounders stepped out.
“Sorry, Cap. You gotta take them back.” She turned to them. “You get your weapons once you land.”
“Inside.” While Clarke tried to ask Luna about the flame since the later took it from her after she tried to forcibly put it in her neck, the others were pushed inside the container. They didn’t try to fight, it was pointless. They failed at convincing Luna and now they could only leave this place. Michelle’s thoughts were already, and as always, on going to Polis to check on her dad. She was anxious to find out whether he took the chip or not and what would be left of him. This was her main concern at the moment. Then suddenly, the Grounders that walked out of the container started attacking everyone outside, stabbing and grunting and slammed the doors shut, trapping the group in the dark. Michelle was quick to understand they had somehow been infected by Alie as she came to realize they attacked shortly after Luna pulled out the flame to show Clarke.
“They’re locking us in.” Octavia exclaimed, alarmed. Clarke started banging on the wall and shouting, eager to find out what was going on.
“They took the flame. Soemhow, while they were on land, they took the chip. Luna’s safe haven is compromised now.” Michelle said with a sigh.
“Yeah. Alie’s here.” Bellamy added, agreeing with her. Clarke looked at them, speechless, not knowing what to do, or how to get out of there. They had no weapon, nothing to free themselves while Alie’s minions tried to take over the oil rig. They only had a flashlight. Holding it in front of her, Octavia walked around the container while Bellamy tried to nudge the doors open.
“How did Alie even find this place?” Octavia wondered, kicking in the wall with anger.
“There was a drone at Niylah’s. She must’ve followed us looking for the Flame and now she has it.” Sat on the floor, Michelle looked at him while Clarke was frowning, her gaze staring into space. “She’s gonna put the AI in Luna.”
“She’d have to chip her first. If Luna’s chipped before she gets the AI, Alie’s gonna know everything. We’ll never be able to stop her. We can’t let that happen.” She sprung up on her feet and walked with a determined step towards the door, banging on it and shouting. Everyone ended up just sitting down in silence, trying to wait it out, or wait for someone to come open the door. There was nothing they could do from the inside. They were locked up, end of story.
“This place was safe until we got here.” Octavia spoke, flashing her light at the wall, up and down, aimlessly. They had no idea how long it had been, but they all turned their heads instantly and got on their feet when they heard the lock clancked against the door, meaning someone was messing with it. The door opened and they jogged outside, thinking it was Jasper who freed them, only for them to find the girl he was chatting with, gasping on the ground with an arrow in her shoulder. Clarke kneeled by her side and the girl tried to speak.
“Machine room… B level…” then she gave her final breath and they left her there, unable to do anything else. She was dead. Michelle gave her a horrifief glance out of the corner of her eyes, looking at the blood covering hre mouth and chin. It reminded her of when she had been infected with that weird blood fever back at the dropship, months ago. Or when she had her hands slashed, and her leg pierced through with a drill. She had had her share of her own bloodshed, but it was still not something she liked to see. They ran through the rig and got to their destination. Octavia ignored her brother’s warning, telling her to be careful and ran inside the machine room. They found Luna, on the ground, holding her lover, her other hand around the handle of a knife plunged into the man’s chest. Jasper was hanged by his wrist on the other side of the room. Two other grounders, those that came on the rig chipped were dead. A young girl was curled up near one of the bodies, she’d probably been used to pressure Luna into accepting the chip or something like that. Bellamy went to check on her while Michelle and Octavia cut Jasper down, and Clarke went to Luna, who let out a bloodcurling cry when her partner let out his final breath. Michelle felt her pain and looked at her, her mouth frowned slightly, her lips twitching. She was wailing, holding his body close to her, her face distorted by the heartbreak and grief, caressing his face and apologizing for what she had to do while sobbing.
Once she somewhat calmed down, the whole lot of the Oil Rig’s inhabitant gathered for the funeral ceremony. Michelle, Clarke, Bellamy, Octavia and Jasper were standing there in a corner. They had to wait for Luna to come to them when she was done.
“Any of them could be chipped, and we’d never know.” Bellamy whispered, her eyes glazing over the room.
“If they are, they’ll make their move before we put the Flame in Luna. Stay sharp.” Clarke watched as Luna came towards them, accompanied with another girl.
“The ceremony is about to begin.”
“I’m so sorry. But now you see what we’re facing. An enemy who will do anything to win. She won’t stop until she had everyone.”
“People I love died today. Needlessly, by my hand. I can’t let that happen.” Luna looked down at the Flame, held in between her fingers. She turned her back to them, facing everyong in the room. They all stood up, cups in their hands. The group had been giving cups too. “As we prepare to give our brothers and sisters to the sea, we honor their lives.” They spoke in their native language in unison, and everyone drank from their cups quietly. Luna turned back to them.
“I we’re gonna do this, we have to hurry. Alie will send reinforcements. We have to find some place private to perform the Ascencion.” Luna stared at her with an impassible face.
“You believe that to defeat an enemy who will stop at nothing, you must stop at nothing. How is that different than blood must have blood?” As she spoke, Michelle slightly frowned and squinted her eyes. For some reason, her mind felt clouded, and she began to have trouble on what was being said, looking into space, trying to focus her eyes. She took a step to the side as her sight began to sway, or maybe it was her body. She raised her hand, trying to reach for Bellamy’s shoulder and he grabbed her arm, catching her as she fell, but ended up collapsing in turn, his arm stretched out under her head. Their cups had broken to pieces on the ground. She opened her eyes and sat up with a start, a little disorientated still. Bellamy was already awake, walking around with his weapon in hand, watching over the others, still passed out. She put a hand to her eyebrow, the little cut that she had gotten after hitting her head on a rock before being transported to the Rig, had been stitched. Well, she was at least thankful for that. Her eyes went on the hand held out in front of her and looked up to Bellamy as she grabbed his hand and he pulled her on her feet. Movements caught their eye, and they glanced over at Clarke who woke up, checking the box put in her hand, to see if the Flame was inside. They exchanged a nod and kept on walking to the shore while Octavia and Jasper came back to their senses as well. They failed to convince Luna. And they were now back to square one.
“Now what?” He asked, turning his head to Clarke as all five of them stood in line, in front of the sea, clueless as to what to do. Michelle had her sight set on Polis, and getting news from her father, after being separated from him for three days. She had to chase away her bad feeling and keep hopeful that he was still alive and well.

🐌 Hello! I am 20 and would consider myself literate (about 200-400 words average, but I’m pretty flexible and I’m happy to go above that). And I’m looking for other 18+ literate people interested in writing something related to The 100 (incredibly dead fandom, I know lol). I am pretty slow with replies, just as a general thing, and I don’t mind waiting.
I’m down to do either ccxcc, ocxoc or ocxcc doubles (might be open to ocxcc singles, depending on the canon you want me to write) (I would kill to write my oc against an Indra, just as a general thing).
I’m mainly interested in writing Murphy, but I’m also more than happy to write Echo, Emori, Indra, Luna, Monty, or Raven. I’m also down to write Bellamy, Kane, Octavia, Lexa, Clarke, Jasper, Anya or Miller. And I’m down to write others for doubles. Fair warning that I don’t have a ton of experience writing any of them, so it might take me a moment to get the characterisation right.
I’m very flexible when it comes to ships and I’m open to most things. From very popular ones to rarepairs. I’m open to fxf, fxm, mxm and anything poly, though I’m a bit hesitant to write f in mxf pairings. I’m also happy to do platonic stuff, and I’m always weak for anything multimuse.
I don’t have anything specific in mind for plots (at most I have some very basic concepts that I’d love to play around with). I’m happy to do something within canon-verse, either divergent or complaint. I’m also down to do some sort of AU. In general, I’m weak for hurt/comfort, complicated relationships, complicated and morally gray characters, recovery and found family. I’m open to a fair amount of darker topics and I’m open to NSFW as long as it makes sense for the plot and the characters.
Like this and I’ll reach out! I usually write on discord, but I’m open to google docs or emails.

Black Rain - THE 100 REWRITE Chapter Thirty-Three
[THE 100 MASTERLIST]
Previous Chapter / Next Chapter
Summary: After the fish and insects and animals dying, the black rain arrived, forcing everyone to find shelter, harming and killing a lot of them. It was hard on all of them but they pushed through it, they had to. And then, it turned out Jaha was right about the second dawn bunker and it existed. They had a chance to survive the fire that would ravage the whole earth soon.
Words: 5.3k
Warnings: The 100 season 4 spoilers (episode 7 'Gimme shelter", episode 8 "God complex" & episode 9 "DNR"), mention of suicide attempt (mere mention of a scar, nothing else)
Michelle and her father walked up to Bellamy as he parked the rover in the middle of camp. She glanced at the sky. In less than a few hours, it had become threateningly yellow and was covered with thick clouds. Black rain was really coming this time and Octavia was still somewhere out there and her brother was understandably beyond concerned for her safety. She knew he felt like he was failing her, but there was really nothing else he could do. As she was looking up, she felt something drop on her temple and flinched, turning her head aside with a frown. Kane and Bellamy began yelling at everyone around them as they pushed Michelle to run towards the station. She stumbled a bit and ran inside with the others, sheltering herself and a child with a large piece of tarp she had grabbed while running. Thunder rumbled and lighting flashed in the distance as the acidic rain intensified and people ran to take shelter inside the station. Inside, everyone rushed to pour water on themselves, some of them even took off their clothes.
Water dripped from Michelle’s hair and face. She squeezed out her hair with one hand and wiped her face with the palm of the other, catching her breath, and looked around to see where her father and Bellamy were. She saw them, right by the door and jogged over to them, weaving between the panicked people crowded in the hallway. From what she heard Bellamy say as she approached, someone was still out there. She didn’t step too close to the door but peered outside and saw a man lying on the ground. He was still moving and screaming in pain. They didn’t waste any more time, told her to stay put and they grabbed a piece of tarp and a large jacket, and she watched anxiously as they went out. They quickly got to him, helped him up, putting his arm around their shoulders and rushed him inside. Two guards came at the door to get him as he screamed, his face twisted by the pain he was in, and they took him away.
“I have to find Octavia.” Bellamy exclaimed, speaking over the pouring rain.
“She’s not here. She took off hours ago.”
“I gotta find her.” He was about to leave again when Kane grabbed his arm to stop him.
“Bellamy, look. We don’t know where she went. You just got back, and the rover doesn’t have enough power to go searching through the woods.”
“The rain will kill her.”
“She’s smart. You gotta trust that she found shelter, okay?” He was worried sick for his sister, but ended up acquiescing, glancing at the car still parked by the gate. Kane quickly checked his daughter but seeing as she was fine, he was reassured and went to check on the rest of their people. Michelle then looked back at Bellamy and for half a second, seeing him walk towards the door, she thought he was going to run outside but he just pulled the door closed.
“All wet clothing in the designated zone.” Kane then told everyone. Having been one of the first to cover themselves from the rain and get inside, the few driops of rain that did fall on her had done no damage to her jacket or skin and had already dried, but she still took it off along with her shirt and kept on dousing herself in water to wash her skin. She would retrieve it later. It was literally the only piece of clothing in the entire station with a USA flag patch on it, and she had written her name inside of it, as well as her grandfather’s and her Hawaiian great grandfather’s. Her mother had been the only one in their line to never wear it.
Bellamy was right next to her and her eyes briefly wandered over his bare torso. Someone called out to them over a radio, and she turned her head to her father as he took it in his hand, pulling out the antenna. “This is chancellor Kane. I hear you. Can you hear me?”
“Kane— Kane, it’s Mark Colton.” He motioned for the people around them to be quiet so he could hear the man better. “Look, please, my son is soaked with black rain. Please. You gotta help us. Hurry!”
The three of them shared a look and Michelle saw in Bellamy’s eyes that it was going to give him another reason to want to go out and try to help these people. It made her worry about him. Everyone was moved to the hangar, where there was more room for all of them. Some were coughing or lying on makeshift beds. The medical bay was already full of people sick from the rain’s radiation. It had taken some time for the symptoms to show up but a lot of them had been affected with this ARS that Abby had told them about – Acute radiation sickness. Michelle was still perfectly fine, to Kane and Bellamy’s relief. And so were they.
“Bellamy, there's really nothing I can say to change your mind, huh?” The latter had put on a protective suit which he had attempted to fully seal with lots of gaffer tape, still wrapping some of it around his wrists. He insisted that he had to go help the people out there, assuring her he would be careful.
“Everyone else accounted for?” He then asked as he saw Kane walk towards them.
“Jaha and Monty reported in from sector 5. All 200 of their people are safe. The other sectors are still counting. We’re down two.”
“Not for long.” They looked over at Harper trying to take care of the man who fell in the rain while everyone was getting inside. He was unwell from the prolonged exposure and coughed badly.
“Bellamy, the fire damage to that suit could cause tears you can’t see, much less seal.”
“I tried telling him.” Michelle said quietly, watching him as he kept on putting tape all over the suit.
“It’s the best we got.” Kane grabbed his hand, making Bellamy look up at him.
“That’s Mark Colton out there. I know him. He’s resourceful. Right now, they’re under an overhang, out of the rain.”
“His son Peter was one of the 100. I’m doing this.” Michelle shook her head with a sigh, resting her hand on the edge of the table. He grabbed the mask and walked out of the hangar. She followed him all the way to the door and called out to him as he stopped to put on the mask. He looked over his shoulder and turned around.
“Be careful, okay?”
“I will.” They gazed at each other and shared a loving kiss before he finally put on his mask and pushed the door open, glancing at her as he walked out. She held her arms, watching him anxiously and looked behind her upon feeling hands clasp her shoulders. It was just her father. She pulled her eyebrows together in worry when she saw Bellamy bent forward and suddenly start running. Kane called out to him, urging him to turn around but he didn’t listen to him, or maybe he couldn’t hear him with the noise the rain was making. Michelle reflexively took a step forward, letting her arms fall to her side and her father’s grip tightened slightly to keep her where she was, though she wouldn’t have actually walked in the rain. He took his hand off her to grab his radio.
“Bellamy, what the hell happened? Bellamy. Bellamy come in.”
“You were right. The suit’s useless.” He said, panting.
“You gotta come back in. Bring the rover to the airlock.” They then heard Colton’s voice come over the radio, talking to Bellamy.
“Are you on the move yet? Peter doesn’t look so good.” He asked.
“He’s been through worse. We’ll get through this too. I’m on my way.”
“No.” Michelle spoke under her breath, glancing at the radio and looking to the rover as the engine started. Her father then turned a button and asked Bellamy to come on the private channel.
“No more lectures. I can’t find my sister, but I do know where they are.” He turned a deaf ear to whatever Kane then tried to tell him and asking him to stop didn’t do anything. He turned on the rover’s headlight, turning the car towards the gate, but he did stop for a moment to listen to Kane.
“No unnecessary risks. You come home safe.”
“I got this.” He drove out of camp and both of them, but especially Michelle, were nervous and concerned about him, gulping. He then closed the airlock, and they returned to the hangar, sitting together in a corner of the room, with the radio on the table waiting for Bellamy to come in. Michelle was staring at the radio, lying on the table, her cheek crushed against her arm. Bellamy could be heard calling out to Colton and his son but having no response from them for some time. She followed her father with her eyes as he picked up the radio, listening carefully. Eventually, Colton’s voice rose but he cut himself off as though something had happened but all he then said was his son’s name. The wind had shifted, moving the overhang around and the rain was falling on them. There was nothing all for them to use as cover and Peter’s father was using himself to shield his son from the rain. Bellamy told him he would be there in just a couple minutes and was suddenly interrupted. Michelle straightened up, glancing at her father.
“Bellamy, I don’t see the lights. Where are you?”
“Just— Just a minor delay. Just— Just hang on.”
“No! No! No, we can’t. We can’t! How long?”
“Bellamy, what’s happening?” Kane asked on the private channel. “Answer. What minor delay?”
“Stuck in the mud. Gonna use the winch to get me out.”
“Negative.” He stood up from the stool he had been sitting on. “Bellamy, you have no suit, and I can hear the rain over the radio. Please, just… just wait for the storm to pass. Is that clear?” On the other channel, Colton coughed, urging Bellamy to come help him and his son and Michelle could hear from his silence that he was having conflicting thoughts on the situation and what to do. Michelle’s worried frowned accentuated. “Bellamy. If you go into that storm, 3 people die instead of two. You’re out of options. It’s time to let go.
“What am I supposed to tell them?”
He shook his head, “The truth.”
“Mark. Peter. I can’t get to you.”
“What? No. We’ll come to you. Please, I can carry him.” Michelle let her head fall forward, looking down at her hands.
“It’s too far, Mark. You won’t make it.” Bellamy told him.
“We won’t make it here!”
“Look, I— I’m sorry. You just— your only chance is just to wait a little longer, and when the rain stops, I can dig out.”
“My son is dying!” He cried out. “He’s dying right now. You said that you would help us. Please!” Hearing him beg was heartbreaking. It felt just like when Michelle found Abby and Kane after they landed in that lake near the dropship and she was told of her mother’s death and lashed out at Kane, crying and screaming at him, putting all the blame on him for what happened to her mother. She glanced at her father. He leaned on the table, resting his forehead against his hand. He then switched the channel.
“Abby, are you there? Come in.”
“I’m here. Ah, it’s so good to hear your voice.”
“I have bad news, Abby. The black rain’s here. It’s worse than we thought. It, uh— it burns on contact. It kills. After today, the water won’t be drinkable. We lost what we had stored in the fire. We have enough for a couple of weeks, but after that—”
“I know what happens after that.”
“We need a solution. Abby, are you there?”
“I’m here.” She paused. “There may be a solution.”
“That’s great.”
“But to find it, I have to do something that I never thought I’d have to do.”
“You’ll make the right decision.” He gave a nod. “You always do.”
“Can I ask you something? If I take a life… to find a— cure… Does that make me a murderer?”
He sighed, “Abby, I… I don’t know how to answer that. I wish I did.”
“What if it can save us all? Would I be able to live with myself then?”
“Taking a life should never be easy. I hope it’s not easy for you. Your humanity is your greatest strength. Sometimes we need a different kind of strength. We need to survive. Then we can all find our humanity again.”
“I hope you’re right, Marcus.” He then looked over his shoulder as they heard Harper cry. The man lying on the mattress in front of her was dead. She sobbed and closed his eyes. It was a pretty depressing day overall, but their attention soon went back to the radio when Bellamy’s voice came on. He was calling out to Colton and his son. Her father took a few steps away from the table, terminating his conversation with Abby. According to Bellamy, the rain was almost over, but he wasn’t getting any response from the father and son. He was desperately trying to talk to them, but there was only a deafening silence.
“Bellamy…” Her father spoke. “You did your best.”
“I failed. They’re dead.”
“It’s not your fault. I can’t protect anyone.” With her elbow resting on the table, she let her forehead fall on her fist and closed her eyes, conscious of how hurt and powerless this all made him feel. “I couldn’t protect my sister. My responsibility, and I failed. My mom passed out. She was there. She was in my hands. She was so helpless, and now what is she? Is she even alive? What is she? I—”
“You didn’t fail, Bellamy. You did everything you could for her. You came to the ground for her. You can’t save someone who doesn’t want to be saved. Your mother would be proud of the man you’ve become. I know I am.” Michelle looked at him. Bellamy remained silent for a few seconds. She wasn’t sure he appreciated Kane mentioning his mother, and she was right given how he replied.
“You floated my mother.” He then went radio silent, having probably disconnected his radio so as not to hear any more from Kane. Michelle locked eyes with him and she rested her head on his shoulder. He held her against him tenderly. By the time the sun came up, the rain had stopped. They stayed near the radio but didn’t hear from Bellamy or Octavia the whole day and they walked out of the station when they heard the rover drive in camp, slowly approaching as Bellamy came out of the vehicle.
“Still no word from Octavia.” Kane said. Bellamy’s eyes were shining, and he nodded, looking away. “I’m sorry.”
“You can’t save someone who doesn’t want to be saved.” He looked defeated. And he was, as he quoted Kane’s own words. He then turned his head towards Michelle and walked up to her. They wrapped their arms around each other, his cheek resting against her temple as he held her tightly, his hand grabbing at her waist. She felt his shaky breath against her ear, and he sniffled, sobbing quietly.
By the time it was dawn, a total of 18 people had died from ARS in total. The bodies were wrapped and carried outside and lined up while others built a pire big enough for all the dead and each body was then placed on top of the pire, carefully, and with respect. Some people were gathered by the pire. Michelle glanced at Bellamy next to her. The two of them were standing further away. He was staring ahead of him, his arms crossed, and feeling her gaze, he turned his head towards her. She put a comforting hand on his shoulder, hating that he felt so guilty, as though he hadn’t only failed his sister but everyone else as well. He tilted his head forward.
“I know it took courage to be outside with us today,” Jaha spoke, holding the flame with which he would set fire to the pire. “to stand together now in the face of grave danger and grave tragedy. On the ark, rain like this was only a dream. Now it’s a nightmare, because we know it could turn at any second and kill us, just like it did to 18 of our brothers and sisters, who we honor today among them, Erin, Samuel, and Louis. May we meet again.”
“May we meet again.” They all repeated in unison. Jaha lowered the torch, and the flames licked the logs as Jasper walked past Bellamy and Michelle.
“Too many funerals, too little time.”
“Show some respect for the dead.” Bellamy disapproved of his careless attitude. Michelle agreed with him, though she couldn’t care less about Jasper to be honest. She brought her back to her body and crossed her arms in the same fashion as Bellamy.
“What for? They don’t mind.” He slowed down his pace to look at him over his shoulder and kept on walking. He shrugged, walking backwards, when Bellamy asked where he was going. He was leaving, just like this, no chem tent in case of black rain, nothing. Bellamy called out to him and after being ignored a couple times, he jogged after Jasper. Michelle stayed where she was, watching the pire as the flame grew taller. Hearing Bellamy keep on calling Jasper’s name, she looked at him. He was running after Jasper as the latter nonchalantly walked out of camp. She didn’t think it was a big deal, knowing they would be back soon, and they would be safe anyway – Bellamy was equipped and had everything they might need, including a chem tent, in his backpack. She just hoped Jasper’s carelessness wouldn’t get Bellamy in harm’s way.
She eventually walked in the station, going to rest in their bedroom as she wasn’t exactly needed anywhere. Taking off her jacket, she let herself fall on the bed and looked at the names she had written inside; Michelle Cartwig, Jonathan Cartwig, her maternal grandfather, Aolani Kealoha, her great grandmother, whose name was quite beautiful though she had no idea what it might mean in Hawaiian and the name at the top, the original and first owner of this piece of clothing, a former US Navy, John R. Kealoha, her great great grandfather. She didn’t know much about those ancestors of hers but at least she knew their names and where they came from, unlike the people on her father’s side, where she only knew her grandmother, Vera, who used to keep this weird tree around which people would gather as if it were a religious symbol or something.
She had heard a number of things about her mother’s side, but she never met any of them. They were all dead before Michelle was born. She knew that John R. Kealoha was the ancestor through which she had native Hawaiian ancestry, and he married a Chinese immigrant. They had their daughter, Aolani, on the Ark, so Michelle’s great grandmother was the first generation to be born and raised in space. She was the first to inherit her father’s jacket and became an Ark guard as soon as she was old enough to, following in her father’s footsteps. She climbed the ladder and became a higher up in the guard. Later in her life, she met Michael Cartwig, to whom Michelle owed her last name, another man of the American Station, of British descent, and together they had her mother, who joined the guard like her mother, and then became a member of the council on the Ark, where she eventually met Kane, and there she was. Michelle had been told all this by her mother – aside from who her father’s was – as well as the fact that her name had been inspired by her grandfather’s. Michelle had always loved to hear about her family’s history. Maybe it compensated for how little she knew of her father’s identity and family.
Cheering, rock music was playing in the hangar when Michelle walked in, looking around, wondering what was going on in there. If there was something like a party going on, maybe Jasper was back, and therefore Bellamy so she wandered around the room, looking for either of them, but specifically the latter. She saw them walk in a minute later through the same door she walked in through. She stopped in her tracks and waited for them to get closer. Bellamy noticed her and she walked towards him. He seemed to have no idea what was going on but neither did she, so they followed Jasper. He looked at the two of them, but they didn’t look that into it. Bellamy sighed at his invitation to come along.
“Everyone’s gonna die, guys. We can go out like them…” He motioned towards the sick people resting on the mattresses behind them and turned to the side where the rest of them were partying. “Or like us. The ending’s the same, but who says the journey had to suck?” He walked away and started shouting and the crowd cheered, raising their glasses full of alcohol. Bellamy and Michelle watched them drink and dance around, still pondering whether they should leave or join them. Michelle shrugged and turned to Bellamy. He wasn’t too convinced at first but let her hold his hand and bring him over to where the party was. Jasper cheered upon seeing them arrive.
“Michelle, the voice of reason! Good idea. Let someone else save the world for once.” He laughed, handing them two cups filled with what Michelle thought was alcohol at first, but it turned out to be very different. They drank it dry, and she chuckled, wondering what was in there. It turned out to be hallucinogenic tea made by Niyah with the same beans they ate back at the dropship one day, but it was on accident then. They were doing it on purpose now, to have some fun while the world ended outside.
After going to Polis, Jaha, Kane and Monty returned the next night and everyone gathered around Jaha in the hangar as he told them the news – they had found the actual Second Dawn bunker. Michelle couldn’t believe it was true this time around, after how disappointing the first bunker was, with all these corpses everywhere.
“There is an underground aquifer, with a filtration system that is still operational. Some of the water will go to the hydroponic farm. Isn’t that right, Mr. Green?” He pointed at Monty, next to Bellamy, Michelle and Harper.
“Most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. Almost.” He added the last word in a lower voice, looking at Harper. Michelle had almost forgotten the two were a couple. She hadn’t hung out around Monty much lately. Jaha continued his speech.
“It won’t be easy. There will be plenty of hard work to go around. But together we have struggled. And together we will rise.” The crowd cheered. “Pack your things. Just what you can carry.”
Harper then walked away, and Bellamy approached their friend, “Jaha was right.”
“Yeah, can’t believe it.” Michelle chuckled.
Monty turned towards them, “Got a lot of gear to pack. Sure you two aren’t too hung over?”
“You judging us, Monty?” Bellamy asked, at first thinking he wasn’t serious, but it turned out he was.
“A little.”
“There was no hope. Now there’s hope. Let’s go.” He concluded with a smile, and the three of them went to find Jasper on the other side of the hangar. He rose his cup at him with a tight smile. “Give him a minute. They’ll figure it out when we take the still.”
“There’s one in the bunker.” He then said as they left. They went their separate ways and Bellamy and Michelle passed by their bedroom to pack their things before going to take care of packing all the gear in the armory. They later found out that while most of them were packing, getting ready to take off to Polis, Jasper and a little over a dozen people had locked themselves in the hangar. The guard tried to force it open, but it was jammed, as all the other doors to the hangar were, and couldn’t be opened from their side. Michelle stood right behind Bellamy and Monty; her arms crossed over her chest. She wasn’t a part of the guard – she was also the only one present not wearing the black guard uniform – though she did often go on missions as if she were, because she was trustworthy and a good shot, but unlike the lot of them, she wasn’t exactly allowed to carry a gun inside the camp, but in anycase, she was there at the moment because she was sticking by Bellamy’s side.
“This is the door to blow.” The guard showed the door behind him.
“How many gas canisters do we have?” Jaha enquired.
“You can’t be serious.” Bellamy looked at him in disbelief, disapproving of the mere thought of using the gas canister.
“In Mount weather, we beat the gas by using water. Jasper will be ready for that.” Monty added.
“Just slow down. Let me talk to them.”
“Bellamy, we have over 400 people ready to march.” The former chancellor wasn’t in the mood to talk. He clearly saw this all ordeal as a huge waste of time. Jasper stumbled towards the door, drunk, and a gun in his hand – apparently Harper’s, and it was apparently not the only gun they might have in there. Jasper’s face got close to the glass, and he laid his hand flat on the surface with DNR written on his palm – do not resuscitate. Michelle stared at the message on his hand.
“They wanna die in there.” Bellamy crossed her gaze before turning to the door, pressing the coms’ button to try and talk to Jasper, asking him to put the gun down and open the door but they weren’t coming out.
“This is insane.” Monty made Bellamy move aside. “Are you really willing to die, when there’s a way to live? Are they?”
“That’s just it. We don’t think it’s a way to live.”
“Just go. Please.” Harper appeared behind Jasper, begging them to leave them alone. Jaha showed his impatience as he told the other guard to set the charge on the door and warned the rest not to fire unless fired upon. Bellamy rose his voice, not wanting the situation to escalate.
“No. Ok, just— just wait.” The explosive charge timer was activated. There was less than 2 minutes before it blew up the door. Monty walked away, dejected knowing that his best friend and girlfriend wanted to die. “Jasper, people will get hurt. I know you care about that.”
“If you don’t want anyone anyone to get hurt, don’t open the door.” They heard shouting over the coms as he walked away, going back to the party. Jaha approached the door, calling out to Jasper by his last name.
“Mr Jordan, I will not leave children here to die.”
“You sent them down to die.” Bellamy confronted him. “The difference now, is that they have a choice. And so do you.”
“This is what they want.” Michelle nodded, backing him up and as she said earlier, they wanted to die in there. She didn’t see why they should force them out of the hangar if they didn’t want to be saved.
“They’re wasted. They don’t know what they want.” Monty argued, frowning. Jaha looked through the glass at the people on the other side of the door and told the guards to stand down. The one that had set up the charge took it down and the group left but Monty insisted. “You can’t.”
“I’m sorry, son. Bellamy and Michelle are right. We can’t save them if they don’t want to be saved.” And on those words, he walked away, leaving the three of them in the hallway.
“If Octavia was in there, would you let her stay?”
“If Octavia was in there… At least I’d get to say goodbye.” He shrugged, his eyes getting slightly shiny at the mention of his sister, and he left with Michelle. Monty stayed behind, probably still wanting to try to talk to Jasper and Harper. Everyone had grabbed their bags, walking towards the exit as Bellamy reminded them of the threat of black rain and that while the rain falling outside at the moment was regular rain, it could turn acidic and radioactive any moment, and to stay near the person with their assigned chem tent. It wouldn’t be too hard for Michelle since the person with her assigned chem tent was Bellamy himself. Michelle stood by Bellamy as they let everyone walk past and looking back, they saw Jasper and Harper standing there. “Not too late to change your mind.”
“Yes, it its.” Jasper spoke. “You can still stay, you know?”
“I’m not a quitter.” He gave him a friendly smile. Jasper’s eyes went to Michelle, and she knew he wondered what she thought about this.
“Tried to quit once…” She softly shook her head, adding a light, joking tone to her words. She felt Bellamy glancing at her. They had never really talked about it, but she did try to kill herself at some point during her solitary confinement, and she had a scar on her arm as an eternal reminder of it and Bellamy had seen it before but because she never brought it up, he didn’t, out of respect for her. That was maybe the reason why she understood Jasper’s choice so well – they wanted to go out on their own accord, and so did she, instead of waiting to be floated. “didn’t really work out for me.”
“Thanks for understanding.” Jasper grinned, pleased to see they accepted their decision.
“Where’s Monty?” Harper then asked.
“Unloading the rover. We’re leaving it behind for you, by the way. He didn’t say goodbye?” Bellamy wondered. She didn’t say anything else and shook her head.
“Take care of him for us, will you?” She chuckled, her voice shaking as though she was about to cry. Michelle bit her lower lip, glancing at Bellamy. He gave his promise he would and hugged her before turning to Jasper, sighing heavily. Michelle and Harper shared a brief hug as well. They had never been close friends, but it didn’t make it any less sad for Michelle. Jasper’s response to Bellamy telling him “May we meet again” was even sadder. They wouldn’t meet again.
“Whatever the hell you want.” They looked at each other and Jasper laughed as they embraced. Bellamy stepped back and Michelle stepped forward, hugging Jasper as well before the two left, walking out of the station for good. There would be no turning back and they would never see these people ever again. She didn’t really know most of them personally, but they were some of the original 100 sent to the ground in the very beginning, people she survived with for weeks.
It was already dark when the 400 or so people who had left Arkadia arrived in Polis. Bellamy and Michelle met in the tower with Clarke as she told them of the situation – after the black rain recently, there was now going to be a conclave. One final conclave, in which one warrior from each clan would fight until only one remained, and the winner’s clan took the Second Dawn bunker for themselves, ensuring their survival when praimfaya came, dooming everyone else. They knew it was practically hopeless but as Clarke put it “we fight, or we die.”
But some hope returned when they saw, as they looked at the city which would soon turn into a warzone, a figure approaching on a horse – Octavia.

Later that night, I found myself in my new tent that I would be sharing with Octavia. With all the chaos of getting the flares together, I was surprised anyone had found time to put more tents together. All I could think about was getting to rest my head on my own bed for the first time since we'd landed; to finally get a proper night's sleep, not having watch duty tonight.
As I was about to undress for the evening, I heard footsteps approach my tent. Within seconds, Bellamy's voice came through.
"Octavia? Are you in there?"
I remained silent, figuring he'd opt to leave on his own.
"Octavia?"
Letting out a huff, I headed over to the flap of the tent, pulling it to the side. "She's not here." I dropped my hand from the tent flap, letting it close. Before it could, Bellamy slipped his hand inside, stopping it.
"Do you know where she is?" He asked, his voice shaking.
I raised an eyebrow. "I haven't seen her since you told us to wait until sunrise to go after the pod."
"You're sure that's the last time you saw her?"
"What's going on, Bellamy?" I asked, placing my hands on my hips.
Bellamy looked around before entering the tent. "Octavia followed me this morning. We got into a fight and I thought she came back to camp."
"Nobody else has seen her?"
He shook his head. "I've looked everywhere. She's gone."
"Okay. I'll help you look." I said, grabbing my knife from where it sat next to my cot. "Let's check again. You go to the dropship, I'll check the rest of the tents."
Bellamy nodded. "Thank you, Athena."
I nodded. "Octavia was all I had in Skybox. I owe her."
Exiting the tent, I turned back one more time, giving Bellamy a nod before heading off to search the rest of the tents.
...
"Hey, everybody, gather around and grab a weapon!" Bellamy called out. "My sister's been out there alone for 12 hours. Arm up. We're not coming back without her."
I had spent the last hour searching the rest of the tents, never finding Octavia. Nobody had seen her since this morning.
Clarke placed her hand on Jasper's shoulder. "Hey, you don't have to do this. You haven't left camp since we brought you back."
Jasper shook his head. "Clarke, I need to do this."
"We need all the people we can get. We need a tracker." Bellamy then shouted, "Finn, get out here!"
We waited a few moments before Finn, now with his hair shorter, came out of his tent he shared with Raven. "You guys ready to go?" He asked, Raven stepping out behind him.
"As ready as we're going to be," I sighed.
Our little group made its way across camp, one of the delinquents stopping just outside of the gate. "Guys, look!"
"What is that? It's so bright."
"It's beautiful."
I followed their gaze, spotting what looked to be hundreds of shooting stars falling from the sky.
"They didn't work." Raven mumbled, before raising her voice. "They didn't see our flares."
Bellamy eyed her for a moment. "A meteor shower tells you that?"
"It's not a meteor shower, it's a funeral." Clarke responded. "Hundreds of bodies being returned to the earth from the ark. This is what it looks like from the other side."
Raven spun around, moving closer to Bellamy. "This is all because of you!"
"I helped you find the radio."
"Yeah, after you jacked it from my pod and trashed it!"
"Yeah, he knows." Clarke spoke. "And now he has to live with it."
I shook my head. "We don't have time for this. Octavia is out there, alone or with grounders to keep her company. We have to find her, now. We can worry about the Ark later."
Bellamy's eyes landed on me for a moment, a slight smile forming across his mouth. His face soon shifted back to his normal frown as he turned back to Finn. "Are you coming, or what?"
Finn nodded.
"What are we waiting for?" Bellamy asked. "Move out!"
...
While Raven and Clarke instead headed off to find a new transmitter for the radio, the rest of us carried on with our search for Octavia. It wasn't too long before John Mbege found something.
"Look, over here!"
Bellamy rushed over. "What is it?"
John pointed. "Isn't that Octavia's?"
We all looked down the hill, squinting our eyes. Finally, Bellamy shook his head. "Give me the rope." Finn handed the rope over and Bellamy tied one end to a tree.
"What are you doing?" Finn asked.
"We need the rope to get back up," Bellamy responded, tossing the other end of the rope down the hill. "Flashlight?"
John handed him the flashlight and Bellamy made his way down the hill. Bellamy shined his flashlight on a branch, and I instantly recognized what used to be a seatbelt on the dropship. Octavia had been using it as a belt, wanting to spice up her jumpsuit from Skybox.
"It's hers." Bellamy confirmed. "I'm going all the way down."
Jasper took a deep breath, handing his torch to Finn before beginning to climb down behind Bellamy. I went next, clumsily staggering down the hill. As I neared the bottom, Bellamy extended his hand. Letting my right hand fall from the rope, I grabbed Bellamy's, allowing him to guide me down the last few steps.
"Bellamy," Jasper spoke, grabbing our attention.
Bellamy pushed through the brush surrounding us, kneeling down next to Jasper. I watched as he ran his finger along a rock, lifting it to reveal a small puddle of blood. Finn soon joined us, inspecting the blood and the area around it, including a larger set of footprints.
"Someone else was here," Bellamy said.
Finn nodded. "The prints are deeper going that way. He was carrying her."
"If they took her, she's alive." Jasper's large smile soon faded. "Like when they took me."
Bellamy shook his head, standing back up before rushing in the direction the footprints were headed. We spent what felt like an eternity following the footprints, going up and down smaller hills than the last. The sun had come up when we finally came to a clearing, right in the middle of Grounder territory.
"What the hell is that?"
I followed Roma's gaze, chills running down my spine as I saw it. "Are those-"
"Skeletons?" Jasper finished, swallowing hard.
They were tied to trees, some only partially decomposed. I wondered if they'd been left there after death, simply to scare enemies away. Or, had they been strung up and left there to die as punishment for breaking whatever rules they lived by?
"I don't speak Grounder, but I'm pretty sure this means keep out." Finn said.
"Let's get out of here." One of the other delinquents spoke up.
A few others mumbled in agreement, following each other back the way we came.
Bellamy shook his head, his jaw tensing. "You guys can go back too if you want. My sister, my responsibility."
"I'd walk into hell to find her," Jasper spoke bravely.
Finn sighed. "I think we just did."
John, Roma and Diggs all agreed to continue the search as well.
Bellamy nodded, his eyes soon landing on me. "How about you, Athena?"
My eyes drifted back to the slowly disappearing silhouettes of the other delinquents, thinking about how much better off they'd all be for heading back. Finally, I took a deep breath. "I'm with you."
Smiling, Bellamy nodded. "Let's get moving."
...
As we headed deeper into the forest, Finn stopped abruptly, kneeling down to inspect the soil. He was silent for a while, Bellamy finally kneeling down next to him.
"What's the problem?"
"I've got nothing," Finn admitted. "We lost the trail."
Bellamy stood up, folding his arms across his chest. "Well, keep looking."
Finn stood up. "Wandering around aimlessly isn't the way to find your sister. We should backtrack."
"I'm not going back."
I shook my head. "Bellamy, if we keep going like this, we'll never find her. Finn is right, we should go back a little bit, see if we can find other footprints to follow."
"I already said, I'm not going back," Bellamy spoke firmly. "I know this is the right way, alright?"
As I went to protest, Roma's voice stopped me.
"Hey, where's John?"
I turned around, noticing John had vanished.
"I saw him just a second ago," Jasper said.
We all looked to Bellamy, who shook his head. "Spread out, he couldn't have gone that far."
Just as the words left his mouth, a body fell from the trees above us, landing in the middle of all of us. My eyes quickly shifted up the body, landing on the face. John's face. His throat had been cut, the blood already having stopped flowing from the wound.
"They use the trees," Finn mumbled, looking up.
I stepped away from John's body, my own beginning to shake.
"We shouldn't have crossed the boundary," Diggs mumbled.
"Now can we go back?" Roma asked.
Jasper jumped slightly. "There! Right there."
We all followed his gaze, spotting a Grounder off in the distance, a long knife in his hand.
"Another one!" Diggs called out.
My eyes shifted around the forest, spotting more and more of them surrounding us. "They're everywhere," I whispered.
"We should run."
Bellamy was the first to move, the rest of us following after him. I could feel my legs growing weaker with each step I took, my body still shaking from the sight of John's body. As soon as we thought we'd gotten far enough away from the Grounders, one would pop up ahead of us, forcing us to change directions.
"Let's go!" Diggs called out, running ahead of everyone else.
"What are we going to do?" Jasper asked. "They keep cutting us off."
"Just keep running!" Finn said.
"I can't run much longer."
"I'm not stopping for him!" Diggs called out, continuing on.
Bellamy stopped. "I'm sick of running anyway."
The rest of us stopped, looking to Bellamy for instructions.
"What are you doing?" Finn asked.
"They know where she is."
Roma shook her head, running off. "Diggs, where are you?"
"Roma!"
Finn spun around, running off after them. "Roma, wait!"
We followed Finn, hearing Roma scream in the distance. It wasn't long before we came across Diggs, who had been impaled on a spike.
"They were leading us here," Jasper mumbled. "It's the only direction we could run in."
Finn looked around, noticing the newfound silence. "Where'd they go?"
"After Roma."
Finn looked around, spotting more footprints. "She went this way."
We followed the footprints, trying our best to remain quiet, hoping to not grab the attention of any more Grounders. Eventually, I spotted Roma's jacket off in the distance, most of her body tucked behind a tree.
"There she is," I spoke, smiling. "Roma!"
As we moved closer, my smile faded. Jasper and Finn stopped, while Bellamy and I made our way over to the tree. Roma had been pinned to the tree with a spear, just inches closer to the heart than Jasper's had been.
"They're playing with us." Finn whispered.
I watched on as Bellamy used his fingers to close Roma's eyes. "She only came because of me."
Finn shook his head. "They can kill us whenever they want."
Jasper looked around, raising his voice. "Then they should just get it over with!"
"Jasper, stop it!" I yelled.
"Come on, we know you're out there!" Jasper continued. "You want to kill us? Get it over with already!"
We all watched on as Grounders rose from the bushes around us, weapons in hand, before beginning to run towards us.
"What do we do?" I asked, looking at Bellamy.
Standing back-to-back, we all remained still, unsure of what to do. There were no openings. Everywhere we looked, there was a Grounder, ready to kill us as soon as they got close enough.
Just as hope had left me, the sound of a horn filled the air. The Grounders stopped almost instantly, looking around before running away.
"They're leaving." Bellamy mumbled.
"That horn," Jasper spoke. "What does it mean?"
"Acid fog."
"We have to run." I said.
"There's no time." Finn pulled out a parachute from his pack, spreading it out. "Everyone, get under, now!"
...
We remained under the parachute for a while, all of us holding down the edges as best as we could.
"How long are we supposed to wait?" Jasper asked.
"Will this even work?"
"We'll find out soon enough." Finn mumbled.
Bellamy shook his head. "No we won't," He then lifted his side of the parachute, poking his head out. "There's no fog."
We all pulled the parachute off of us, looking around the forest.
"Maybe it was a false alarm?"
"They're coming back," Bellamy noted, pointing.
Jasper shook his head. "I think he's alone."
"Can we get moving?" I asked. "I don't want to be here when the rest realize the fog isn't coming."
"He doesn't see us," Bellamy said, standing up. "I'm going to follow him."
"And what? Kill him?" Finn asked.
Bellamy shook his head. "No. Catch him. Make him tell me where Octavia is. Then I'll kill him."
As Bellamy ran off, Jasper sighed. "How do we know he's not leading us into another trap?"
Finn shook his head. "We don't."
...
We finally caught up to Bellamy just outside of a cave. Bellamy was crouched down just a few paces from the entrance, hiding behind a rock.
"He went in there," Bellamy said, looking back at us.
I shook my head. "We don't know how many there are in there."
"Keep your eyes open, your weapons drawn."
Bellamy stood up, heading towards the cave's entrance. We all followed close behind, doing just as he said. The cave was quiet and dark, no torches on the walls. I was almost certain that as soon as we reached an open area, Grounders would jump out and kill us all.
The open area soon came, Bellamy poking his head around the corner.
"Octavia?"
"Bellamy!"
All of us rushed around the corner, Bellamy reaching Octavia's side while the rest of us watched the Grounder who laid passed out on the floor. Bellamy removed the chains that were around Octavia's hands, the two wrapping their arms around each other as soon as she was free.
"It's okay," Bellamy whispered. "You're okay."
Octavia soon pulled away. "How did you find me?"
"We followed him," Bellamy spoke, nodding towards the Grounder.
"We should go now before he wakes up."
Bellamy shook his head, grabbing a spear that sat off to the side. "He's not going to wake up."
Octavia jumped in front of him. "Bellamy, stop! He didn't hurt me. Let's just go."
"They started this," Bellamy argued. "Finn, move."
Finn didn't move, instead inspecting the horn attached to the Grounder's gear. Before Finn could speak, the Grounder moved, grabbing the knife from his pocket and stabbing Finn in the chest before standing up.
Octavia and I rushed to Finn's side, while Bellamy swung at the Grounder. The Grounder grabbed the spear from Bellamy, pinning him to the ground. I watched on as Bellamy struggled against the spear, which was now aimed at his throat.
"Stop!" Octavia yelled. "That's my brother."
Just as I thought Bellamy was about to meet his end, Jasper came up behind the grounder, hitting him in the head and knocking him out. Bellamy gasped for air, moving away from the Grounder.
"Finn?" I asked, noticing he'd now lost consciousness. "Finn!"
"We have to get him back to Clarke, now!" Bellamy commanded.
We once again retrieved the parachute, laying it out and placing Finn on it.
"Everyone on three," Bellamy said. "One. Two. Three."
We lifted the parachute in unison, rushing out of the cave and leaving the Grounder behind.
...
"Clarke!" Jasper called out. "Where's Clarke?"
We had just entered the gates of the camp, our tired arms struggling to keep the parachute containing Finn off the ground.
"I'm here, what's going on?" Suddenly, Clarke's eyes landed on Finn. "Finn? Oh, my god."
Raven soon came to her side. "Oh, my god."
Clarke placed her fingers against the side of Finn's neck. "He's alive!"
"Bellamy wouldn't let me take the knife out," Jasper spoke up.
"No, that was a good call." Clarke nodded. "Get him to the dropship."
A few other delinquents who had stayed behind at camp grabbed Finn, carrying him to the dropship.
"Can you save him?" Raven asked.
"No, not me," Clarke whispered. "I need my mother. I need to talk to her."
"There's still no radio."
"Fix it, then!" Clarke snapped. "Go!"
Raven eyed her for a moment, before running off towards the dropship. Clarke then turned to Octavia, examining her. "Are you okay?"
Octavia nodded. "I'm okay. Just worry about Finn."
Clarke nodded, running off.
As Octavia marched towards the gate, Bellamy ran after her. "Hey, why were you defending him?"
Octavia stopped, turning around. "Because he saved my life. That spear that hit Roma was actually meant-"
"No." Bellamy cut her off. "I saved your life. For all you know he was keeping you alive to use you as bait for one of their traps."
"No. I don't think so."
Bellamy rolled his eyes, raising his voice. "You don't think, O! That's the problem. They killed three of our people today. If you would've let me kill him when I had the chance, Finn wouldn't be in there dying right now too!"
Octavia's fists balled up, her face turning red. "Stop it! Stop blaming me for your mistakes! What happened to Finn is not my fault. I wanted to leave, so if Finn dies in there, that's on you! Everything that's gone wrong is because of you."
"Octavia-" I spoke, to no avail.
"You got me locked up on the Ark. You wanted me to go to that stupid dance! You got mom killed!"
Bellamy flinched, Octavia's words hitting him like he'd never felt before. I watched his eyes swell up, tears forming in them but failing to fall. He wouldn't let them. Finally, he spoke, his voice breaking. "Me?"
Octavia nodded.
"Mom was floated for having you. She's dead because you're alive. That was her choice. I didn't have a choice." Bellamy shook his head. "My life ended the day you were born."
Octavia flinched as well, Bellamy's words hitting her just as hers had hit him. She attempted to turn away, moving towards the gate, Bellamy instead grabbing her arm.
"Where do you think you're going?"
Octavia yanked her arm away. "You can't keep me locked up in here forever."
With that, Octavia ran off towards the dropship.
"Octavia, wait!" I called out, but she didn't listen.
I then turned to Bellamy, his face pale as his eyes lingered on his sister. He finally turned to me, his eyes quickly falling to the floor. I couldn't help but shake my head, feeling angry for Octavia.
Before I could tell Bellamy off, I noticed a boy lingering outside of the gate. "Get inside, now!" I hissed.
The boy ran inside as I approached the gate, staring up at the sky.
"A storm's coming," Bellamy mumbled from behind me.
"We're so screwed." I nodded, closing the gate.

Aloha! He decidido hacer este FC Masterlist en lugar de una muse page porque durante 10 años de rol tuve más niños que una guardería. A continuación encontrarán faceclaims que he roleado/roleo/me gustaría rolear. Los escritos en negrita son personajes ya creados y el icono de estrella señala a mis musas principales, pero siéntanse libre de pedirme a quién sea que tengan como wanted opposite porque me abundan las ganas de rolearlos a todos.
