Genuinely silly question but I can't get it out of my head: your ocs are invited to the met gala, who's on theme? Who steals the show? Who shows up in a black tux? Who wears something totally off theme but outrageous enough they get a pass?
#romi is on theme if you squint but mostly just something elegant and pretty#emma is perfectly on theme. well researched and can talk your ear off about why#cyn makes her own outfit and its just kinda weird#curtis wears something incredibly expensive and ostentatious#also literally steals the show by robbing everyone#vesper shows up in armor and fights anna wintour#oc: romi brown#oc: cynthia basri#oc: curtis becker#oc: vesper bui#if this flops you didn’t see it#oc: emma langford

anyways I'm having big feelings about ex ortega and I'm going to make it everyone else's problem
ortega who has spent the last seven years grieving. regretting not telling step the depth of their feelings. not wanting to risk what they did have, not wanting them to run, not wanting to be emotionally vulnerable
having to learn to live with that regret with the knowledge that they could never change that. no do overs no second chances. that quote about grief being love that has no where to go and ortega is drowning in it
and then all of a sudden a miracle. step is alive and maybe just maybe second chances do happen. ortega won't have to just live with these regrets they get a do over. things will be different this time. they have step back and god it's overwhelming
having that second chance just with in reach and then having it denied. having it thrown in their face that it was never really anything anyway. that its in the past.
and just like the cruelty of that. having that hope and watching it slip out of their fingers again
#i'm in my feelings tonight#thinking about curtis and ortegas dynamic#and it is painful friends#just wait until ortega finds out about danny#aml talks#if: fhr#fhr ortega#oc: curtis becker

More sketchy silliness
An armor concept for villain step based on my musings from this morning. Kinda referring the old sidestep costume with the lines but there would be in gold and the armor in like gunmetal with almost like chainmail like detailing in the joints/more movable areas
Also a tiny bastard. Head is drawn to scale if you take his ego into account

thank you for tagging me to take this quiz with my ocs @wayhavenots
Cynthia got Love as hunger
[ love as ravenous desire, love as something fragrant and home-built ] when florence welch said "we all have a hunger" and when jenny slate asked "who will come into my kitchen and be hungry for me?" and when violet trefusis wrote "I want you hungrily, frenziedly. passionately. I am starving for you..." and when anne carson asked "what are we made of but hunger and rage?"
Kyra got love as violence
[ love as bloodshed, crimson as a knife slipped between your ribs ] when ocean vuong said "to arrive at love, then, is to arrive through obliteration" and when franz kafka said "you are the knife i turn inside myself; that is love" and when ada limon said "how do you love? like a fist. like a knife" and when richard siken said "sorry about the blood in your mouth. i wish it was mine
Emma got love as tenderness
[ love as gentleness after a lifetime of cruelty ] when ocean vuong said "sometimes being offered tenderness feels like the very proof that you've been ruined" and when pablo neruda said "like a jar you housed the infinite tenderness and the infinite oblivion shattered you like a jar" and when anais mitchell wrote "all i've ever known is how to hold my own, and now i wanna hold you, too”
curtis got love as light
[ love as a luminous force—warm, radiant, and golden ] when mary oliver wrote "light of the world hold me” and when charles bukowski said “I look at her and light goes all through me” and when david viscott said “to love and be loved is to feel the sun from both sides”and when e. e. cummings said “lovers alone wear sunlight
I’m not going to tag anyone since i’m going this so late, but if it looks fun please consider yourself tagged and let me see your results!
#more cyn with the hunger scar propoganda#I love her outsider scar#it's great#but I don't know man theres something compelling about her and hunger#and curtis as light is so danny's fault#thanks for tagging me 💜#tag games#mutual pd#oc: cynthia basri#oc: kyra arres#oc: emma langford#oc: curtis becker
