What’s the most wholesome thing someone has done for you? For me it was someone paying for my chemotherapy. Now that I said that you don’t have to worry about saying something deep!

The most wholesome thing I've had people do for me is sharing Joyce fanart that they've made, entirely unprompted. Never fails to bring me the utmost Joy. Doesn't even matter the level of artistry, I can tell you it's better than anything I could draw. Even drawing Joyce as a Tumblr bat, you guys manage to make her look so cute! ^_^

I've been a Percy Jackson fan for years. But I couldn't read the books as soon as they came out because I didn't know English that good and had to wait up to years so they'd be translated. I spent about a month working on this panel, and probably another half a month getting Egg Model Sheets done! You know I've been working on this comic for two years, and never made any MODEL SHEETS???!! Well, I have them now. Also it's December so enjoy the music, this is my favorite song.

It's been so long since I made up the picrew images of the cast of Knitwear Club that I'm going to have to not only make a couple of new ones, but also rework one or two of them! Bah!

hi! how do you usually go about naming your OCs? their names are so unique and recognizable ^.^

thank you :-) they just click with me. I rack my brain and come up with various names like dante, charlotte, maria, etc — my friend also helped with naming some characters during the early development of my story (and still do to this day. thanks ollie). then I look up the meanings of the names I got and see if they fit. trial and error. also with the influence of christianity in children’s heterotopia it’s not too hard to come up with names for a huge chunk of characters

a few examples from CH:

dane de la cruz: “de la cruz” means “on the cross”, first name is a letter t away from “dante”, protagonist of divine comedy, “t” is similar to the shape of a cross charlotte fitzgerald: first name taken from “charlotte’s web”, fitzgerald = “son of gerald”, gerald = “rule of the spear” angelo zamparelli: first and last names contain the first and last letters of the alphabet respectively (revelations 22:13), angelo = “messenger of god” rollie: nickname of “roland”, which is taken from “orlando”, a character from italian epic poetry “orlando innamorato” and “orlando furioso” graciela estefania rosa iglesias: graciela = grace, estefania = crown, rosa = rose, iglesias = church. references to her personality and backstory rayan adam and rayan bishara: “rayan” means “wise”, adam is the first human, the letter B comes after A, indicating that bishara is a clone deborah, esther, jonathan: three important biblical figures. you can look up the stories they’re from and associate them to the newgen kids’ names tsubaki yoshida-chao: “tsubaki” means “camellia” bettina eva da re: bettina means “my god is an oath”, eva is taken from a character in hermann hesse’s “demian”, frau eva, and they both share almost similar roles the family name “da re”: “like in the manner of a king” emil seebeck (saudade’s real name): the seebeck effect elsie wuthers, tracy trushcross, hannah thornfield: surnames are references to the bronte sisters’ works, “wuthering heights” and “jane eyre”, which features mansions and family tragedies hearse and his soldati: named after various objects associated with funerals elijah samuel harper: first and middle names are taken from biblical figures, “harper” sounds like “harpoon” which is a reference to his job as a sailor sir galahad and the knights: named after the knights of the round table chernobog and belobog: polabian deities

and so on, there are also names that I generally think sound cool (kiana, margot, ferdinand, cicero) but I also want each character’s names to have at least a bit of meaning to them! I also look up names of famous people like painters/artists/writers from some characters’ ethnicity/country to see if it fits. like charlotte — her surname fitzgerald is taken from the author of “the great gatsby”!

the general rule of thumb that I’ve seen most oc creators avoid is that we avoid using baby name generators or websites and do our own researches because a lot of times they’re innacurate and is just overall blegh. you know. thank you for letting me ramble

New Punch Out Oc!

What’s up guys I have a new oc! Cause I wanted to tbh!

I don’t have any art yet but I do have a little concept 👉👈✨💕

His name is Motel’ Kofel and he is another boxer! He’s a team USA boxer!

Motel’s appearance is striking and memorable, with jet-black hair that contrasts vividly with his piercing blue eyes. His hair is usually slightly messy but styled just enough to look deliberate—giving off an air of effortless cool, though it’s clear he cares about his image more than he lets on. He has a beauty mark on one side of his face, just under his left eye, and a smattering of light freckles across his nose and cheeks that hint at a softer, more innocent side beneath his sharp demeanor.

Physically, Motel’ is lean but athletic, with a wiry build shaped by his attempts at boxing. He’s not the strongest or most skilled fighter, but he trains hard, even if his efforts don’t always pay off in the ring. His posture and expressions give off a mix of confidence and aloofness, though there’s a guarded, almost defensive edge to him that betrays his struggles with trust and vulnerability. He often sports a Star of David necklace and a kippah.

Motel’s personality is layered. On the surface, he’s sarcastic, quick-witted, and a bit snobby, often using humor to mask his insecurities. He has a sharp tongue and isn’t afraid to call things as he sees them, which can make him come across as abrasive or condescending. However, underneath this exterior is someone who deeply craves connection and purpose. He’s fiercely loyal to his mother and those he considers family, even if he struggles to express it openly.

Despite his bravado, Motel’ is sensitive and introspective, often overthinking his place in the world. He has big dreams of making something of himself but feels the weight of his past and his own doubts holding him back. His humor and snark are often a defense mechanism, but they also make him stand out, earning him the attention (and sometimes annoyance) of those around him.

✨The Begining✨

Marie was still adjusting to life when she was married off, and this marriage, though arranged, didn’t provide the stability or emotional fulfillment she needed. Feeling isolated and unsure about her future, she might have found herself looking for a deeper purpose beyond the confines of her marriage.

During this time, she likely encountered an orphanage or a situation where she could make a difference—perhaps through charity work or a personal connection. Motel’ was one of the children in need of a stable home, and despite the challenges in her own life, Marie’s natural desire to nurture and protect led her to adopt him.

Her husband, possibly indifferent or unsupportive of the idea, might have been reluctant, but Marie, feeling disconnected in her marriage and searching for something more meaningful, went ahead with the adoption. The act of taking in Motel’ would have provided her with a sense of purpose and stability that she hadn’t found in her own life.

For Motel’, being adopted by Marie offered him the security he had been missing, even if he was older when they met. She gave him a sense of belonging when he might have felt lost in the world, and through this bond, they began to form a new family.

After the Divorce

Marie, feeling the sting of her broken marriage, might have focused even more on caring for Motel’, seeking solace in her role as his protector. he would see them as a mess when he's both young and old (doesn't want to ruin his only clothes and/or his good suit) but if he's in a good enough mood i'd say he'd view it as the best thing to throw himself into.

very. one of his hobbies is pressing flowers which he does in memory of his mother, he has a whole book. as for henry, he could rant to him about how much he hates him for hours. and marty and leo? he would lay down his life for them.

he loves his mama very much so i think he thinks bettina is a very beautiful name :)

and i'm not sure of a name that his future partner would have that he would find so pretty lmao. like the fondness of the name mostly for him comes after he's gotten to know them you know. he probably thinks marty/martin's a pretty name (and it is).
