Megurine Luka's Past (My Headcanon)

Luka was born and grew up for a large part of her childhood and adolescence in New York, coming from a family of high economic rank, from which she descends from Japanese blood (through her father) and American/British blood (through her mother). Her father; Masahiko Megurine leads a huge company (which the Megurines have owned for years) of tourist cruises that travel through all the countries located in the Atlantic, Indian and Pacific Oceans, while her mother; Alice Shellwhite is a very famous fashion designer in the country. The three lived in the Big city, habiting a gigantic penthouse on top of one of the many skyscrapers it owns and not only them, they also had their own staff like any wealthy family. So yes, it turns Luka into a city girl surrounded by luxuries, with a very good education, gifts and the attention of her parents, but it doesn't mean that by living like this she is a bad person as one would expect from this type of family, actually she has always been a sweet and friendly girl who overflowed with love for everyone without exception.

How did get Tako-Luka? Excellent question; There was a time when Masahiko went on one of his many business trips, in which he was accompanied by his team to buy new islands as tourist breaks from his cruise ships before arriving at clandestine. On one of them he found the island which considered a perfect site, except for the fact that it had toxic waste strewn on the tropical terrain, which Masahiko's employees were ordered to clean up all of it. When they finished and he was about to make it official, he ended up finding a kind of octopus that lived on said island with the unrealistic aspect of resembling a tender human face and the tentacles posing as a person's hair, hitting the idea that they looked like that because of the toxicity that affected not only the island, but also the fauna of the place. Masahiko sympathized with those poor animals that instead of proclaiming it as a tourist island, he turned it into a natural refuge so that the octopuses do not receive mistreatment from people who see them, in order to keep them safe.

When he returned home with his family, he did not realize that one of the octopuses followed him after sneaking onto the cruise ship on which he sailed for his business trip along with those who were accompanying Masahiko. Knowing this story, Luka (at seven years old) became fond of the octopus enough to keep it as her own pet. It was to be expected that both parents initially had doubts if she was capable of taking care of it, but in the end they accepted it with certain conditions and Luka, very happy, became inseparable from that octopus, calling it "Tako-Luka". The rest of her life after that was completely normal, she didn't seem to have any problems at school (aside from the fact that her parents hired tutors to help Luka with studies) and she began to brag about her good life by belonging to a family rich, but she continued to emphasize being good and kind to everyone around her, even if her parents were slightly unconvinced of that little path their daughter was taking. However, her happiness would be degraded upon learning that her mother was consumed by a serious illness just the night after her high school graduation...

Once she was admitted to the hospital, they took better care of her than anyone else and the doctors did the impossible for her to be saved, but it was all in vain since in the time she spent days while they were looking for a cure, Alice died...which clearly dealt a hard blow to Luka and Masahiko, for the three of them spending so much time together and losing her affected them like that. One night, the pinkette girl (16 years old) still saddened by her loss, had a dream so real that it seemed unreal, she was reunited with her mother, telling Luka Her last words: « My baby...you don't have to cry for me...I know that this feeling is difficult and horrible for one and I would never wish it on you...but...I want you to keep smiling and being yourself...you are my most charming and sweet daughter and I don't want you to ruin yourself for this...always remember me for that great love and moments we spent together without pitying because I passed away...I love you Luka... » And with this Luka left her more than satisfied and happy to see her through that dream of lovingly taking her words and never forgetting them.

Days after that event, Luka gradually recovered and was still the same as before, but even so, she continued to miss her mother very much every time she remembered various things in her home because she did not see herself without her there. This gave Masahiko the advantage of cheering her up knowing how his daughter felt, he gave her the news that they were moving to Megurine's hometown; Japan, since as the family's main company is located in Tokyo city, he was given the hereditary position and personally, take his daughter to live in a completely new environment so as not to leave Luka stuck in the nostalgia. This made her doubt a little considering that she missed her stay in New York and since she has visited Japan so few times it would be difficult for her to get used to it, but she accepted with the idea that her father would be right on the last point and ensuring the future experiences that they waited for her once they live there, plus it's not like they'll never come back to New York considering they can fly to visit their old home on that city.

A couple of years after the move from New York to Tokyo, Masahiko had a surprise in store for Luka for her eighteenth birthday. When that day came and after having celebrated ad nauseam, she had as her last gift that her father enrolled her in Vocaloid for the musical talent that her daughter had developed in recent years (grateful for the lessons she received in her music classes given since she was five years old), the news made Luka overly excited when she learned that she will become a singer for a recently popular company. As soon as she moved, three months after her birthday for the audition time, her life went from good to better, she ended up making friends with the other Vocaloids who joined before her, as well as making new friends with the new ones who joined they were part of Vocaloid. Luka assumed that her mother would be proud for how her new life began and she promised herself that she would keep hers as she already is and everyone knows her, continuing like this from now on without more negative cases affecting our octo-pink lady.

Magnolia House A.K.A “Dollhouse”: [28]

Born to a wealthy and famous pair of doctors, Maggie was an only child who grew up sheltered. Magnolia’s father, Dr. Richard House, was a strict, calculated, narcissistic, and cruel man that played a facade of being a loving and caring doctor for his patients in his cosmetic surgery clinic. Although he doted on his wife, he disliked Maggie because he wanted a boy to continue the family’s profession. Magnolia’s mother, Dr. Morticia Herring, was an anthropologist and a forensic pathologist who had a big heart and believed in the goodness of humanity. She loved her daughter as much as she loved her husband. Despite the tension between the two, Dr. Herring believed that with time her husband would become fond of his child. But it never came.

Magnolia was Dr. House’s scapegoat; whenever he was frustrated with his work, he would take it out on his daughter if he was close, getting mad for anything. Bad test scores, behavioral complaints from teachers, Magnolia expressing her anger and frustration, her wanting something from the store, her wanting to go to a friend’s birthday party—anything! She eventually learned to stay away from her father when he was around, and stayed silent during dinner and car rides. Her only comfort was her mother, her savior. Dr. House couldn’t lay a finger on Maggie if Dr. Herring was around to scold him or threaten with divorce.

At the age of 18, Magnolia’s takes an unexpected turn when her mother dies from a brain aneurysm, leaving her motherless and her father a widower. Now with no one to protect her, Maggie is now Dr. House’s punching bag. She went from limited access to a social life to zero control over her education. She was only allowed to go to school and come straight back. She was never allowed to go anywhere without her father, and he rarely left the house after work.

When Dr. House found out that Magnolia wanted to become a toy maker, he was furious. He threatened to lock her up in the basement if she did not comply to go to medical school, and would kill her if she tried to go to the police for help.

For five years, Magnolia had to endure medical school to get her license. She resorted to cheating to pass her classes, not caring if she was caught. Overtime, she grew increasingly numb to the gore and vileness that came with the career, feeling empty within herself. The beatings suddenly weren’t as painful anymore, and she hardly reacted to her father screaming in her face.

The day she dropped out of college, she drove back home in silence. When her father was eating dinner alone, back turn to her, Magnolia struck him in the back of the head with a hammer. She dragged him to his bedroom and tied and handcuffed him to the bed. She worked effortlessly on his body, removing his arms and legs, leaving stubs at his elbows and knees. She stapled his mouth shut. And the first time in years, she smiled. Smiled at her father desperately trying to scream and run after waking up to his personal living hell.

Magnolia placed him in a steamer trunk and drove all the way down to the Mexican border, managing to bypass it and find one of the local spots where the cartel usually hung out. She quickly dumped the trunk into a ditch—making sure to leave no traces of her identity or DNA—and left her father in the middle of nowhere, screaming in the darkness. Maggie made all of the preparations to close down and sell her father’s clinic and had a fake memorial card from a private funeral. She bid her father’s nurses and workers goodbye and gave them their last paychecks. In case anyone asked to see the gravesite, Magnolia has an urn with ashes in it.

She sold the estate to add more money to the family fortune. She used her knowledge on cosmetics and makeup to open up a toy repair shop named “The Dollhouse”. As the owner, she would fix action figures, sew up plushies, create dolls of all kinds, and polish up collectables. She has shelves on both walls of the store and has two large windows to display her creations. Near the back of the shop, behind the cashier desk, is her workstation where cabinets and drawers sit on top of each other with supplies and tools to restore trinkets to their former glory. But near the back of the store, through a single door, down a flight of stairs, is her other “workshop”. Her own surgery clinic with medical beds, monitors, and tables of surgical equipment and supplies all around. She kidnaps horrible people like her father and takes them to her lair to “fix them”, either turning them to mindless puppets/dolls or harvesting their bodies to sell on the black market if they are “too rotten”. A dollhouse isn’t a house without its dolls to play in.

Behind another door is a luxurious apartment where Magnolia had it privately built, with various escape routes and hidden compartments to hide her family’s money and documents. An extension of the surgery clinic holds a “hate shrine” at the end dedicated to Dr. House, with life-sized felt puppet strung up by medical wires to the ceiling, walls, and floor. Lit candles surround it on tables and the tiles, illuminating the puppet’s ripped torso and exposed inner plush organs and plastic bones. On the walls are mad writings of slander and insults, attacking Dr. House’s insecurities and actions. A wind-up Gramophone Player plays chilling and disturbing tunes on one of the tables. All of this, is Dollhouse’s safe space. Her own little playground.

But in her bedroom is a small yet beautiful memorial for her late mother, with her urn in the center of it, superglued to prevent the ashes from spilling out.

Dollhouse is sometimes seen with Two-Face and his gang. The status of their relationship or reasons behind their meet-ups are unknown.

FIRST CONCEPTS

Entry 1: Genetic Material Rebuild "Hospitals" [HORMGE]

In the original language they're called "Hospitais de Reconstrução de Material Genético", that's why they're known as "HORMGEs".

Before starting, let's give a small explanation of what Hybrids are in "Chosen Galactics".

"Hybrids are the only "close" contact that monsters have with "humans" after their extinction. These beings are made of both Monster DNA and Human DNA, being banned from the humanity but supported by the Monster kind. However, since the beginning of the Dictatorship, things changed around how they demonstrate "support" for these creatures." - Agent S' notes.

With that said...

These hospitals/laboratories are responsible for the research and several tests to find the most efficient way to change the DNA of Hybrid Monsters, one of the species that are among those who are considered low in the society's hierarchy, only being above Hajikays.

They aim to transform Hybrids DNA into pure Monster DNA, deleting the human percentage in their material. However, as expected, these hospitals don't follow any type of safety and/or health protocol, leaving them in EXTREMELY POOR CONDITIONS.

Although it's said that they are not forced to join, it is extremely common see most Hybrids being dragged to these laboratories without any kind of permission beforehand.

Outfits example:

Their outfits, meant to be white, are now yellow-ish and brown due to how dirty and unhygienic these places are. The name tag on their clothes help identifying their full name and species, making it easier for their research and avoid possible incidents, to say the least. Of course, variants of these clothes exist.

These victims go through many different types of exams in order to become "pure beings" and "save them" from this terrible fate, according with scientists. However, in the majority of the cases, many of these Hybrids never see the light of the day again. What happens with them is kind of unknown, though. Besides, what happens there, stays there, apparently.

The abuses? Unknown. The food they serve? Unknown. How exactly the experiments work? Unknown. What exactly make them not be able to see the day again or what incidents happen? U n k n o w n. Any confidential information besides the ones above (which were also extremely hard to share with other people) are well-hidden from Regular Monsters or other Hybrids, so it's common see families hoping to see their loved ones come back someday. Oh, such a pity, indeed.

"Luckily", there is a not-so-great way of avoiding this terrible fate and have a better chance of escaping: If any of the superiors notice a lack of interest or a strong position against them, the Hybrid will be sent to a "Crystal Extraction Camp", where they'll work without any type of payment extracting crystals, an extremely valuable resource in this world. Since the place is as neglected as the hospitals, Hybrids have a bigger chance of escaping at the right moments, but it doesn't mean that no one is watching.

"If people managed to escape, then why is it so hard to know in details what happens inside of these places?"

Remember, they are all being watched wanting it or not, so if they're discovered spreading too many details, they might never come back to tell more. They disappear, they're gone forever. Due to the extreme fear, almost no Hybrid dares to share informations about the bad conditions they lived in.

No Hybrid is spared; men, women, elders and even kids are victims. It's a shame that no one can share more about their suffering, right?
