hi hi hi hi before i start i hope your doing well i literally jump of joy when i say you post it ,a new chapter of the parents trap and it got me thinking about the queen and her husband
so we know that she survived the war by her younger brothers sides and that she feels guilty that she survived and not the others . given what we know that Aemond had a bastared by aly’s we also know that she is a witch . i was thinking that maybe the kid star it to practice witchcraft and star it to experiment with vision (like aly’s) and so he practice this and the queen sadly became a victim of this (TOTALLY BY ACCIDENT THE KID IS YOUNG AND BARLY NOWS HOW WITCH CRAFT WORKS) and she gets the Daemon treatment .
it be so interesting to see how she would react to those vision and how would they be again THIS IS BY ACCIDENT HE DIDT MEEN TO GET THE QUEEN INVOLVED IN THIS MESS , HIS JUST A KID WE DONT HATED HIM HES INNOCENT
hiii anon how are you? i'm happy that you enjoy my writing 🥰💖
okay i didn't expect the msg to end with this idea but it's very interesting!
honestly for me the visions are not only about Alys but also about the castle but that's just my hc lol
personally i don't see Aelor wanting to do magic bc he doesn't want to have things in common with Alys since everyone hates her BUT i think he could be convinced to try to do some magic if his siblings insist on it. i feel like Alyssa finds out that Aelor's mom was a witch so she tells him that he can probably do magic too. and then everyone starts to tease him because of course they want to see magic.
i'm not going to go into how Aelor ends up accidentally giving the queen visions and instead i'm going to talk directly about who he would have the visions with.
The first thing I thought of when I was reading your idea was THE QUEEN HALLUCINATING ABOUT JACAERYS.
HE IS THE GHOST THAT ALWAYS HAUNTS HER SO OF COURSE SHE ALLUCINATES ABOUT HIM.
Just imagine the Queen thinking she is having a conversation with Jacaerys and suddenly his place is taken by Aegon or Aemond. She feels confused and devastated because for a moment she felt like her best friend, her brother was back with her. Then she starts seeing him everywhere. Jace sitting on the iron throne, Jace sitting with her at dinner, Jace playing with the children.
Think of the Queen hearing the laughter of a baby, not just any laughter but that of Daenera, her first daughter. She runs until she finds her in a room. She is not alone, there is Lucerys and Joffrey tickling her and before the Queen can get close to them, the vision ends and she is alone.
Think of the Queen in the middle of a council meeting and turning pale as she sees Rhaenyra enter and sit in Aegon's place.
Think of the Queen watching her children sword fighting with Daemon at her side whispering to her how Baelon is going to end up like him, how her children are destined to end up suffering.
Think of the Queen braiding Jaehaera's hair when Helaena appears and begins to complain about the queen taking her place.
Poor Queen
Anyway anon, I hope you liked my answer and that you are well 🤗. If you have more thoughts don't hesitate to write me again 🥰💖💖

Especially laughing because before Aelor leaves he and Rhaenyra do it and they
The two of them together is just
A mess
Like Aelor thinks practically right
But just
Not when it comes to Rhaenyra?
So Maegelle is like "fucking hell. You guys. I don't think the Faith would appreciate Rhaenyra having two husbands."
And Aelor's just like "yeah yeah but the Valyrian gods won't mind so it doesn't matter" and before he leaves he meets Rhaenyra at Dragonstone - AND THEY HAVE A VALYRIAN CEREMONY YEAH, and Aelor forces Maegelle to perform the ceremony, and Daemon's there like oh I love the chaos and he's just like okay I won't officiate the ceremony maeg can do that (Maegelle is like "I- I'm not qualified for this?" And Daemon's like "You're a dragon you're qualified for whatever it is you want to do" and Maeg is just like okay fine makes sense) and Daemon's the witness and I'm crying at the chaos

Valaena could hear the sound of pounding feet before she saw the group of white haired children come running into her solar. She placed her book to the side giving them her attention with a ghost of a smile, her smiles no longer reached her eyes like they used after Valarr's death a couple of moons back.
"Mother, Syrax has laid eggs" Aelor, her eldest and now only boy spoke excitedly. Rhaenyra was visiting King's Landing by the request of Daemon to help him with Valaena.
"Is that so? How exciting" She ran her finger through his hair, it has grown longer and reached the top of his shoulders. Valaena no longer saw colours unless she was with her children and Daemon, she felt like the world was useless now.
"Yes and one of them is so pretty too! It is a colour in between red and orange" Jaenera explained. Valaena chuckled lightly and pulled her daughter in for a hug. Naerys was still huffing from having to run to keep up with her siblings.
"Should you three not be in bed by now?" Their father's voice echoed around the room. Valaena looked at Daemon leaning against the doorframe with his arms crossed and a playful glare on his face. The three children looked at each other before looking down guiltily.
"Kepa! Syrax had eggs" Naerys still too young to comprehend that her father was trying to scold them ran over to him and hugged his leg. Daemon leaned down and picked up his daughter placing her on his hip.
"Laid eggs not had" Daemon corrected. Naerys' lips pouted and she crossed her arms in front of her. Her speech was nowhere near perfect and she hated it.
"Whatever" She huffed turning to look at the wall behind her father. Daemon chuckled and placed a kiss to her forehead.
"Come on all of you to bed, let your mother rest" Daemon placed Naerys back down on the ground. Valaena has been a little ill lately, she had no energy and she could barely eat anything along with nausea. Daemon grew worried for her and he did not know if her body was still grieving or if she was ill for a different reason.
"Goodnight Kepa, Goodnight muña" Aelor kissed his mother on the cheek and walked over to his father. Daemon patted his son on the shoulder. Aelor grabbed a still pouting Naerys' hand and pulled her out of the room.
"Goodnight" Jaenera hugged her mother tightly before following after her siblings. Daemon closed the door behind his children wanting some privacy with his wife. He walked over to the couch she laid on with her legs tucked under her and a blanket over her lap.
"How are you feeling, ñuha gēlenka haired dārilaros?" My silver haired princess, his nickname for her since she was a child. Valaena held out her hand for him to take as he crouched down beside the couch and let her other hand push back some of his hair that had fallen from the tie.
"Better" She lied and she knew Daemon knew. He sighed leaning his forehead on her shoulder. After Valarr's death people tended to ask about Valaena, how she was doing, how was she faring and if she needed help seeming to forget that Daemon was his father as well. Valaena leaned her head on top of his listening the sound of his quickened breath trying not to break down in front of her.
"I miss him" She whispered. Her grip on his hand was tight as memories flooded her head, he was still a babe, small and tiny, he could not even raise his head up on his own. Daemon screwed his eyes shut, he did not get to see his son after he passed but she did. She had nightmares about it almost every single day and the days she does not it is because he would have the maesters make her tea to help her sleep.
"I miss him too" Daemon placed a kiss on her shoulder. He looked up at her teary eyes. Valaena pursed her lips trying to hold back her own tears. She leaned her forehead on his own, they were more broken than ever but closer than ever to one another.
For a whole moon after Valarr's death Valaena become like a rag doll, she refused to eat or sleep, she refused to move and stayed in one position on her bed with her knees to her chest. Daemon took it upon himself to bathe her, feed her himself until she grew some strength to do it on her own. She would sit in the tub for hours even after the water had turned ice cold and stare into the abyss as he sat behind her whispering in her ear. She would refuse to leave the tub while it was too hot because the pain grounded her and when it turned ice cold the shiver kept her mind off of her baby boy.
"I wish I was able to protect him better, I failed him as his father" He whispered. A tear rolled down his cheek only to be caught by Valaena's thumb. Her own tears started rolling down her face which irked her nausea. She pulled away from him and scrambled over to the pot in their room and emptied the content in her stomach, her dinner came out hot and burning her throat.
"Oh my love" Daemon followed her and held back her silver hair. She sighed in relief when the vomit stopped after her stomach was empty. She fell back on her bottom leaning against Daemon's chest breathing heavily.
"You must see a maester and let him examine you" Daemon mumbled against her hair. Valaena wanted nothing to do with them, they killed her baby boy. Many said she had gone mad after Valarr's death. After the funeral she attacked the maetser who was in charge of Valarr's health and was able to land a punch on his nose before Daemon pulled her away.
"You did not fail as a father" She changed the subject and went back to their previous one. Daemon looked down at her sprawled on the floor in one of her night dresses, hair loose in its original fluffy state not feeling like styling it. There were dark circles under eyes and she had grown thinner.
"You must be examined by a maester" Daemon insisted. He did not want to acknowledge her words, he needed to place the blame on someone and the weakest was himself.
"You did not fail as a father" She was just as stubborn as he was. Daemon stood off the floor and helped her to her feet. She looked at him with glassy eyes, whether it was from crying over their son or she grew teary eyes from the pain he did not know.
"If I had not bought him here he would still be among us" Daemon justified his self loathing. Valaena shook her head and wrapped her arms around his shoulders pulling him down to her height.
"Then I am to blame as well for agreeing to come" She whispered burying her face in the space between his shoulder and neck. He buried his nose in her hair smelling the oils her handmaiden must had brushed through it. She would leave her room to go to two destinations, the library or to visit and ride Vermithor.
"If I accept to share the blame will you visit a maester?" Daemon asked tightening his grip around her waist. Valaena's body shuddered at the thought of the old men touching and squeezing her skin to find what was the matter with her and it almost made her hurl into the bucket again.
"Alright" She muttered. Daemon pulled away to look her in the eyes. She gave him a confirming nod that she will stand by her words. He smiled and leaned down to place a kiss on her forehead.
"Let us go to bed as well" Daemon leaned down and picked her up, frowning when he realised how much weight she actually lost. She wrapped her arms around his neck as he walked them over to the bed. Daemon decided not to mention it, self consciousness wa something he did not want to add to her list.
"Will you sleep with me?" She asked. Daemon had taken over the habit of leaving early in the morning to train with the golden cloaks.
"Of course, my love" He sat her down on the bed with a soft smile. He moved away to remove his tunic and trousers before joined her under the blankets with only his undergarments on. She cuddled up into his chest wanting nothing but to melt and sleep and never wake up ever again.
"Sleep, ñuha gēlenka haired dārilaros" He whispered into her hair. She sighed content with the comfort she received in his arms. His warmth surrounded her just right lulling her into sleep slowly. The sound of his heart slowing down below her ear caused shivers to run through her body as his hand kept running up and down her back even as his slumber began to take him hostage, his hand kept moving seeing her as his priority.
"I love you" She whispered eyes dropping. Her finger wrapped all the way around his waist pulling him as close to her body as possible.
"I love you too" He responded sounding like he was sleep talking. She closed her eyes and welcome sleep with open arms, her only relief from reality, even if it were only for a few hours before the nightmare began.
She always dreamed that she was with Valarr, either in the gardens or in her rooms. She would be singing the same lullaby her mother sang to her as a child to put her to sleep before a figure dressed in darker colours and his face not visible came over to snatch him from her arms ignoring her pleadings and screaming.
Tumblr media
Valaena stirred awake slowly. Her eyes shot open in surprise at the lack of dread in her bones and they sun shining into her eyes. She did not have a nightmare, she did not have her baby snatched from her arms last night.
"Good morning, my love" A deep and hoarse voice mumbled above her. She was laying on her stomach with her arms tucked under her pillow. She turned to find Daemon on his side with his arm around her waist and head laid as close to hers as possible on his pillow.
"Morning, husband" She stretched her limbs letting out a small squeak. Daemon chuckled a little and pulled her into his chest. They laid on their sides chest to chest in silence for a little while. Valaena could still hear the echo of Valarr's cries waking them up when he was still alive, demanding to be fed from her breast but now they were enveloped in total silence.
"Do you want me to accompany you to the maesters?" Daemon broke the silence first. Valaena groaned annoyed at the reminder of the promise she made the night prior. She buried her face into his chest seeking his comfort.
"No, I wish to go alone" Her voice sounded muffled against his chest. He hummed accepting her word and placed a kiss on her head. They laid like that for what felt like hours but was mere minutes before Daemon heard the sounds of footsteps approaching their room.
"The demons are coming" Daemon whispered against Valaena's hair. She pulled away to look up at him confused, cocking up her eyebrow. Daemon only smirked as their doors flew open and the sound of their eldest two arguing filled the silence.
"They are still asleep, we should not bother them" Jaenera hissed angrily at her older brother. Daemon winked at Valaena and closed his eyes pretending to be asleep. Valaena buried her face in his chest again trying to prevent a giggle.
"So what?" Aelor argued back. Jaenera huffed angrily, Daemon could hear a small thud, she must have hit him lightly.
"We must leave them to rest, they are not as young as us you twat" Jaenera argued. Daemon could hear Naerys giggling at her sister's words.
"Did you just call us old?" Daemon asked loudly turning to face his daughter who was stood on his side of the bed with her brother and sister. She let out a loud screech at his sudden words and stumbled back a couple of steps. Even Aelor jumped in shock pushing Naerys back into Jaenera's chest with his eyes wide. Naerys let out a small squeak hugging Jaenera around the waist and hid her face in her sister's midsection. Valaena giggled a little enjoying the light hearted moment her family was sharing. Daemon felt more at ease at the joyful sound leaving her lips.
"Kepa! I-" Jaenera cringed when Daemon glared at her. He pushed Valaena deeper into his chest to hide her giggled from their ears. Naerys turned her head to look at her father earning his attention and glare.
"You should be punished for those words, what do you think my love? Do you have any punishment in mind?" Daemon asked turning to look at Valaena. She composed herself and sat up on the bed with her own glare piercing through her daughter. She raised her hand and touched her chin acting as if she was thinking when an idea struck her. She leaned over to Daemon as he sat up and whispered in his ear. Jaenera gulped as her father's glare morphed into a smirk.
"The perfect punishment, my love" Daemon praised. He turned to look at Jaenera. She pushed Naerys away from her with a frown on her face what she did not expect was her father to leap off the bed and grab her around the waist. She let out a scream of surprise at when her back landed on the soft mattress. Her mother's fingers tickled her sides lightly.
"No!" She yelled squirming but unable to hold back the giggles leaving her lips. Daemon moved on to his next target and grabbed Naerys who screamed as if she was in real danger and grabbed at Aelor and pulled him with on the bed. Daemon immediately attacked their sides with his fingers. Valaena laughed as her daughter was able to escape her attacks and joined her father in attacking her brother and sister. Valaena wanted to stay in that moment forever if that were possible. Daemon pulled away from the children leaving Naerys and Jaenera to attack their older brother who was screaming and trying to push them away through his laughter. He turned to look at Valaena who was watching with a smile, the biggest smile he had seen on her face in the past couple of months.
Tumblr media
Valaena scowled as the old msn titled maester came into view. She had called them to her room not wanting to go to them, to the room they failed to save her son in. There was on maester and two midwives followed behind him.
"You requested us, your grace" The maester asked or more like stated.
"Yes, I have been feeling unwell lately and require your opinion and talents" Valaena answered, sarcasm lacing the last word. The maester winced at her harsh tone and turned to the midwives.
"What is it you are suffering from, your grace" The elderly woman asked.
"Nauseas, tired like I want to sleep the entire day and that is still not enough and some light pain in my abdomen" Valaena answered. The midwife stepped over listening to her words.
"May I?" The midwife asked reaching for Valaena's midsection. Valaena removed her hands from her lap and placed them beside her on the bed beside her. The midwife gave her a reassuring smile before touching her stomach and pressed, with a concentrated frown she moved her hand lower to the lower part of Valaena's stomach and pressed, gasping a little she moved her hand up and groped Valaena's breast.
"Ah" Valaena hissed swatting her hand away. The midwife chuckled a little.
"It is nothing to worry about just yet" The midwife backed a little. Valaena did not want to get her hopes up, she had her suspicions, of course she was not naive but after loosing Valarr she did not want to get attached to something new.
"Yet?" Valaena cocked her head to the side confused.
"You are with child, your grace, from the hardness of you belly and sensitivity of your breast I would recon at least three moons" The midwife answered. Valaena's hand wondered to her lower belly feeling the small bump herself. She never truly showed in her other pregnancy early so her monthly bleeding was her clue but she has not kept track as of lately.
"Do you have anything for the nausea?" She asked turning to the maester.
"Of course, your grace, I shall prepare it and send it with your handmaiden" The maester answered. Valaena nodded and looked down at her belly, she did not think she would be able to have more children after Valarr, many said that grief turned mothers barren sometimes.
"Thank you, that was all" Valaena dismissed them. They left her alone to begin wandering, will her child be a boy or a girl? Will they have her silver hair or like their siblings will inherit their father's more whitened hair. Will they have their father's violet eye colour or her lilac.
Her head snapped up when the doors to her room opened. A smile graced her features when she saw Rhaenyra stick her head in followed by the rest of her body. She was swollen with her third child from 'Leanor' or more like Ser Harwin Strong.
"Nyra!" Valaena could not help but jump at her sister excitedly. Rhaenyra let out a small squeak falling in Valaena's crushing hug.
"What got you in such a good mood? I heard the maester paid you a visit and grew worried" Rhaenyra pulled to look at her sister. She almost believed that the maester has giver Valaena something from the way she was acting.
"I am with child, Nyra" Valaena had a little jump in her step as she pulled Rhaenyra further into the room. Rhaenyra gasped shocked and immediately pulled Valaena in for a hug.
"Oh my sweet sister, I am so happy for you" Rhaenyra felt her own eyes fill with tears, she thanked the gods for allowing her sister some happiness after all she went through.
"I cannot wait" Valaena jumped in the hug. Rhaenyra let out a small laugh pulling away. Valaena was a woman grown with three healthy children yet still acted like a small child.
"Have you told Daemon?" Rhaenyra asked. Valaena shook her head, Daemon was with their children at the Dragonpit, he had insisted to teach them himself.
"I have not had the time, I will try tonight" Valaena answered. And the night seemed to taunt her and did not come fast enough. Valaena organized for supper in her solar for her family.
Daemon and the kids came in to the room with loud laughter and chaos. Valaena grinned as her youngest came running over to her arms wide open. Valaena picked up up again and kissed her cubby cheeks.
"What has gotten you in such a good mood, wife?" Daemon asked. His grin matched her own seeing her much happier than the day before and even more than the morning, her eyes had a spark to them and her smile showed her pearly white teeth.
"Soon" Was all she said. She placed Naerys in her chair between Aelor and her. Daemon sat beside her with Jaenera on his other side and in a perfect circle they bagan eating their food. Aelor inhaled his food more than ate it like a normal food and washed it down with water, Valaena refused to give her children wine before their ten and six name days, they were still too young.
"So tell me, what did you do in the dragonpit?" Valaena asked filling Naerys's plate with some rice and chicken pieces and potatoes. Naerys clapped her hands happily as the plate was placed in front of her ready to make a mess out of it like any normal three years old would do.
"We trained our high Valyrian with father and the dragons" Jaenera answered excitedly. Valaena chuckled now filling her own plate.
"I got to command Lyrax and he obeyed me" Aelor stopped his eat to boast proudly puffing out his chest. Daemon chuckled reaching over to sip his wine amused.
"Yes only after you yelled Dracarys like seventy times" Jaenera rolled her eyes. She hated having the spotlight stolen from her. She swung her legs back forth as Aelor glared at her.
"Did not" Aelor defended slamming his fist down on the table angrily glaring at his younger sister.
"Did too"
"Did not"
Did too"
"Did not"
"Enough, children" Daemon called louder than them both. Jaenera huffed and turned to drink from her goblet of water. Aelor glared back at her and shoved a chicken stick in his mouth and ripped the meat off aggressively.
"More like three times" Daemon said. Aelor smirked at Jaenera who rolled her eyes.
"Suvion still doesn't listen to you" Aelor jabbed. Jaenara kicked under the table angrily.
"Stop you two" Valaena hissed. Jaenara leaned back crossing her arms defeated. Aelor shrugged and resumed eating.
"The maester visited me after you left" Valaena said turning to look at Daemon. He placed his wine goblet on the table awaiting for her to resume.
"I am with child" She grinned widely. Daemon's breathing ceased for a second at the information. Jaenera squealed forgetting all about her fight with Aelor and scrambled to hug her mother. Naerya giggled kicking her legs wildly.
"Truly mother?" Aelor questioned pushing his chaor back like Jaenera and made his way over to them. Valaena nodded her head tears forming in the corner of her eyes. Aelor wrapped his arms around his mother and sister tightly giggling.
"Children" Valaena pulled away from them. Her eyes never leaving Daemon's who was still staring at her and their children. The moved back to their seats leaving only space between the couple.
"A child?" Daemon asked dumbfounded. She nodded giggling. She grabbed his hand and placed it over her lower stomach. His hand curled a little fingertips feeling the small bump there.
"That is wonderful news my love" Daemon leaned over capturing her lips with his own. she laughed against his lips as his fingers tickled her sides.
"Our new hope" She whispered moving her hand atop his own. Daemon nodded his head kissing her forehead.
"Are you both done? I think I'm going to vomit my supper if you resume so" Jaenera burst there bubbled with a glare on her face.
"Do you always have to run your mouth?" Aelor glared at her. She stuck her tongue out at him. Valaena was quite content with her family giggling to the unending banter between her eldest two children. She wanted to stay like this forever having fun with her children and in Daemon's arms.

Carrying on from my last post.
Aelor Targaryens wives.
Tumblr media
Lilibette Tarth.
Lilibette is aelors first wife, she's from house tarth.
Aelor and lilibette marry not that long after the dance of dragon, she's a few years older then him, she's about 18-19 while he was 16-17.
She is quiet and reserved, very much like aelor after the dance. They wait a few months before even thinking about having children.
Her and aelor a year into their marriage finally decide to have a child, they create their first and only daughter Rhaenyra the 2nd, A babe with her fathers brothers dark brown hair but the light lilac eyes of a targaryen through and through.
Lilibette passes away a year after baby rhaenyras birth due to fever, awlor mourns her for years, but makes sure to still raise their daughter.
It isn't until Little rhae is about 11 years old does she convince aelor that she wants siblings.
So 10 years after his first wife dies he holds a ball, and watches as various maidens and widows interact with his daughter, where he spots....
Tumblr media
Lorlei Tyrell.
At this point in time aelors about 27-28 and lorlei is about 25, lorlei is a widow of an old lord who did not even make it to the bedding ceremony, so he father keeps her around until he hears about aelors ball and sends her there in the hopes she'd be chosen by him.
When aelor revealed that his daughter would be picking his bride there was shock, lorlei who had never been around children was worried and had given up but nearer to the end little rhaenyra came up to her and asked her to hide she from some other women at the ball, lorei did and that somehow gained rhaenyras favor, so rhaenyra asked her name then ran to her father and called her name.
Many women were shocked and were jealous, "how could a widow gain the child's favor".
Only a few months went by with aelor properly courting Lorlei before their wedding, lorlei and aelor learned to love each other, the fell hard and fast.
By the next summer they had their first child, Little Aerea Targaryen, green of eyes of her mother and pale blonde hair of her father the perfect mix.
Then two years after Aereas birth Lorlei had the twins, Cassana Targaryen with her pale blonde hair and lilac eyes and Jeana/Jean their little knight almost black hair and dark indigo eyes.
And then 3 years after the twins their last and final child, A son with dirty blonde hair and deep chocolate colored eyes, Aelor begged Lorlei to name him after his twin Lucerys and she let him.

You already know me but I have my boy aelor targaryen
3rd born son of rhaenyra and younger twin of lucerys, while he got pretty much all his looks from his mother, his height and defensive personality of harwin, his fruitness came from laenor.
He's my fucked up lil guy honestly.
His childhood was slightly better due to the fact he looked so much like his mother, he got along with his uncles but especially helaena, he liked to ask questions about her bugs and other things that she knew, he had a small crush on her as children but grew out of it.
His dragon Axloria is a silver and lilac and she's his pride and joy, she's slightly smaller then arrax in canon so aelor does have a hard time flying her but he doesn't mind much.
He survives the dance but kind of distances himself the the crown and refused to be king after aegon IIs death, he very protective over his remaining family after the dance, his remaining siblings always know hed do anything for him.
He has 2 wives in his life, he gets married pretty quickly after the dance as a way to protect himself during Ageon the usurper short reign, he has one child,a girl with his first wife who is a Tarth, he names his daughter rhaenyra, his wife dies a year or so after his daughters birth due to a fever.
He then focuses on raising his daughter for 10 years, until he realises that he can't give her everything so he remarrys l, i haven't decided who yet but ik they have 4 children together, they have 3 girls before a boy is born, he names the boy after him twin.

Summary: You take after your mother in more ways than one and the current Queen Alicent has no problem telling you that she’s aware.
Warnings: 18+ swearing, infidelity, oral(f), p in v, birth but nothing too descriptive, time jumps
Authors Note: a request from @chainsawsangel that I sat on for a while 😣😭 no interaction with the oc tbh
Word Count: 3.7k
⊹˚₊‧꒷꒦︶︶︶︶︶︶︶꒷꒦︶︶︶︶︶︶︶꒦꒷‧₊˚⊹
I knew from a young age that I wouldn’t have much of a choice over anything in my life. Shortly after my first word I was betrothed to someone who I’ve never even met. I’ve been paraded around meetings with my mother on a daily basis and was told to sit there and listen. The only reprieve I had was when she would invite all of her allies to court and I could interact with their children.
The first time I met him I begged my mom to never invite the Blackwoods back to court again. He had a dirty mouth and would talk about such violence against his rival house. The second time he visited we were both a couple years older and caught each other’s eye. His dirty mouth would whisper into my ear until I turned into a blushing mess and then leave me in the halls to trail after him. As the years went by we truly fell for one another. We began to come up with excuses for him to come to court at least once a moon and would send dozens of ravens in between the visits.
Once my betrothed arrived to court we had to become a little more sly but we couldn’t give each other up. He is the only thing I’ve ever chosen for myself and I’m not getting rid of him. I’ve come to terms with my sin because after all I’m the fruit of such sin. It was no surprise to me when my first babe came out with a head full of dark brown hair.
My husband didn’t think twice about it and kept on his day. Jasper Arryn has always been sweet to me but we never really emotionally connected in the way we needed to. He is my mother’s youngest uncle and bears the silver hair of a Targaryen. He’s handsome I’ll admit, but he’s just not my Benji.

One year after first born
I fix my gown smoothing it down and brushing back my hair. I walk over to my babbling baby and pinch his cheeks and tickle his tummy. I scoop him up into my arms as he continues to laugh as I fly him around the room in my arms. His baby dragon runs at our feet softly chirping. I dip down so my son can play with his dragon before sweeping us out of our chambers.
“Someone special is here to visit you for your name day.” I coo kissing at his neck and we start down the stairs. As we walk people dip their heads to us and offer us warm greetings. We step out into the afternoon sun and I gaze around the yard.
“Princess Y/n, I’m absolutely delighted to have run into you.” his voice sends butterflies into my stomach as I turn and a smile spreads across his face.
“Benjicot.” I hum walking closer.
“Happy early name day, my Prince.” his voice drops lower and he looks to our son. “You look very healthy, Aelor.” he brushes the babes hair back and Aelor coos grabbing his finger.
“Come to my chambers.” I whisper.
“Jasper?” he tilts his head.
“Off on the hunt already.” I nod turning to head back into the Keep. I make my way around the main floor and take a back we to my chambers so I’m seen around and away from the courtyard. I slip back into my chambers and bounce Aelor on my hip as I wait for Benji. Three knocks and he’s slipping inside and walking over to us with a smile.
“He’s a man grown now.” he scoops Aelor out of my hands and holds him in his. “I hope you’re not giving your mom too much trouble.” he tickles his neck as Aelor begins to squeal. His dragon uncurls and runs over to us flapping his wings as Aelor keeps laughing. We all sit on the ground together playing with his blocks and toys as my heart swells.
“I’ve missed you dearly.” I look to him with love.
“I wish we didn’t have to be apart.” he sighs looking at our son.
“Me too.” I look to him with longing.
“I don’t want to miss him growing up. That’s my boy.” he looks to Aelor with watery eyes.
“I want to have another.” he head snaps back over to me.
“Do not jest.” his tone low.
“I’ll be right back.” I hum scooping up Aelor and his dragon follows us out of our chambers. I ask my maid to care for him while I rest and the dragon keepers come and retrieve his dragon. I slip back into my chambers and Benji is pulling me against him quickly.
“Do you mean it?” he looks down to me.
“I want to have another child with you, Benji. Aelor should have someone to grow up with.” I gasp as he kisses me fiercely.
“I will give you as many as you desire, my love.” he kisses down my jaw pulling the laces of my dress loose. He has me free of all of my clothes in between heated kisses. I pull his tunic off and sigh as his heated skin touches mine. He lays me back on the bed before burying his head between my thighs.
“Gods Benji,” I cry out pushing myself onto his face. He swirls around my bud while pushing his fingers into me. My hips jerk against his face as my high builds. I pull against his hair while he uses his free hand to hold me still while he laps against me. My legs close around him as I come undone pulling him up my body.
“I’ll make sure I give you another babe.” he grunts pushing into me. I whine as he slowly dips in and out.
“Benji,” I pant. “Faster, please,” my voice breaks as he begins to snap his hips into me.
“This better for you, Princess?” he taunts as he pounds into me. I shake with pleasure every time he brushes against my throbbing bud. He dips down to my neck to kiss and lick while I arch into him. “Taking me so good.” he grunts and I come undone around him. He continues to trust into me at a face pace and I’m whimpering below him as my pleasure threatens to spill over again.
“Benji, I-“ I cry out as my pleasure slams through me and I stills filling me with my name on his tongue.
“Fuck,” he pants resting his forehead on mine. He rolls his hips into mine and a broken moan falls from my lips. “I can’t wait to see you growing with our child again.” he continues to rock into me until he hardens again.

Six months later
I wait in my chambers propped up on pillows playing with Aelor on the ground. I’ve sent Benji instruction on how to get to my chambers unnoticed and we’re awaiting him patiently. I hear soft knocks on the door and Benji enters closing the doors behind him.
“Look at you both.” he hums with a smile sitting on the ground with us. “How are you, my love?” he leans across and kisses me.
“It’s going as smoothly as the first time.” I smile resting my hand on my bump.
“I’m glad to hear.” he rests his hand on top of mine. “I hope you’ve been a kind little prince.” he scoops Aelor up who giggles in his arms.
“I want you to be with us.” my heart hurts looking at them. “Or us with you.” my voice breaks as I start to cry.
“Let’s go to mommy.” Benji coos and they surround me with their embrace. “We have right now and I’m thankful of that.” he dries my tears.
“I want us to be a family.” I hiccup as my tears start anew.
“Come on.” he helps me up and picks up Aelor. He walks us to the bed and we lay curled together. He brushes my hair back while Aelor sleeps between us.
“We are a family. It’s just a little different but it’s ours.” he says softly. I grab his hand and place a kiss on it before bringing it to my bump.
“I want our children to know you are their father. I want you to raise them.” my eyes search his.
“I will make a plan and figure it out.” he nods to me, promise laced in his voice.

Birth
“One last push, Princess.” the midwife’s voice centers me. “We can see the babes head.” she nods smiling at me. My eyes screw shut as I give everything into this last push.
“Excellent work,” the maesters calm voice is followed by a cry. I open my eyes and let out a breathy chuckle. “A boy.” he smiles wrapping him and handing him to me.
“What will you name him?” my handmaiden beams above me.
“Vaelon.” I hum holding him against me brushing back his dark wisps of hair.
“Congratulations, Princess.” Alicents voice confuses me as I look up. “I wanted to check on you and the babe. See if you need anything.” her tone condescending as he peaks over the blanket at the babe. “Hm.”
“Thank you, Your Grace.” I hold my son away from her grasp.
“Where might the father be?” she raises her eyebrows looking around. “Do be sure to let me know if you need anything.” she turns and stops when she spots the egg is the babes cradle. “It’s curious how those seem to hatch.” her words causing me to blink before she’s out of my chambers.
“Can you find my mother?” I ask my handmaiden.
“Of course,” she nods and is slipping out of the door quickly.
“Help me up.” I nod to the midwife.
“Princess, you should rest.” she tries to settle me back onto the bed.
“I wish to bathe him.” I nod my head as another midwife grabs Vaelon so I can stand. My legs wobble as I hold my arms out for my babe once more. He coos in my arms as I slowly shuffle over to the basin.
“My sweet girl,” my mother’s arms are wrapped around mine steadying me. “You should be abed.” she helps me start to clean off the babe.
“I like to be the first one to bathe babe.” I hum my brain starting to cloud from the energy I exuded minutes ago.
“I remember from Aelor.” I can hear the smile in her voice. “What is this little princes name?” she hums trickling water through his hair.
“Vaelon.” I hum wiping at his face.
“Where is Jasper?” her voice soft.
“Probably off hunting.” I shrug not caring. I wrap Vaelon back up and walk him over to his cradle next to my bed. I place him on the small bed and his limbs fan out and he has a little hand outstretched to the egg.
“Let’s get you back into bed.“ she hums helping me lay back. I sigh as my back meets the soft mattress. She grabs a clean cloth and wets it before coming back to me. She wipes at my face and brushes my hair back. She dismisses the midwives and maester before she crawls into bed with me.
“Thank you, mother.” I hum as she continues to brush my hair back. “Alicent was here the second the babe came.” my voice distant as I close my eyes.
“What on earth for?” she tries to calm her voice but I can hear the anger.
“To call my son a bastard and basically say I’m wasting dragon eggs.” she continues to brush my hair back. “I’m sorry, mother. I tried to love Jasper.” my voice breaks as I feel tears pour down my face.
“Shh, shh,” she hums scooting closer to me. “You and your babes are healthy. That’s all I care about. Rest.” she continues to whisper soothing words to me as I drift off.

Four months after Vaelons birth
I stroll through the gardens alone soaking in the sun and the life around me. The birds sing sweet songs as I stop and smell the flowers. As I turn the corner my handmaiden comes rushing over to me and I begin to panic that something has happened.
“Princess,” she stops in front of me out of breath. “Vaelons egg is hatching.” a smile splits across my face as we race back into the Keep.
“Mommy,” Aelor whines and wobbles over to me. I scoop him up and we walk to Vaelon in his cradle watching the egg be pushed open from the inside. A sky blue dragon pops its head out and squirms the rest of the way out softly chirping. It looks to Vaelon before curling up at his side. I bounce Aelor on my hip as we watch them both sleep below us.
“I’ll go fetch the dragon keepers.” my handmaiden says and I nod pulling a chair to the side of the cradle to watch them. The dragon keepers come in and congratulate me and Vaelon. They look over the dragon and nod happily at his health.
“I wish to have time with my sons.” I say softly dismissing everyone. After about ten minutes my heart starts to flutter at who should be walking through my doors.
“Daddy.” Aelor cries wiggling out of my arms as Benji enters.
“Hello my little Prince.” he grabs him and tosses him in the air as Aelor giggles and squeals. “Where is my littlest Prince?” he hums gliding over to me and the cradle.
“He’s asleep.” I hum looking up at him. Benji dips down and places a soft kiss on my lips before rising to look down at Vaelon again.
“His egg hatched.” he looks to me with a wide smile.
“Just a bit ago.” I nod my head biting my lip. He sets Aelor on the ground who goes to play as we admire our youngest.
“Daddy’s so proud of you.” his words soft as he brushes against Vaelons hair. He stirs in his crib and turns to curl up with his dragon.
“I think we should talk with my mother.” I smile looking up at Benji.
“About what, my love?” he kneels next to me looking up at me with adoration.
“She can make it so we can be together. I don’t care what people say about me. They already say it so I might as well get to have you all the time.” I brush his hair back as he smiles.
“Shall I go get her?” he grabs my hand and places it in his kissing it softly.
“No stay.” I hold his hand against me. “I’ll send my handmaiden. I poke my head out the door  and ask my guard to have my handmaiden fetch my mother and we wait in my chambers playing with Aelor.
“Yes, my sweet girl?” my mother sweeps into my chambers and stops when she sees Benji. “I’m sorry, I thought-“ she goes to turn back to the door with red cheeks.
“Mother wait.” I reach out. “We wanted to talk to you.” I look at her with pleading eyes.
“What can I do for you both?” she hums taking a seat on the ground with us and Aelor crawls into her lap.
“I want to be with Benji.” my words hushed as I nibble my lip. “I want to be happy. I want us to be a family.” I feel myself tear up as she looks to me.
“Just give me some time and I will figure it out.” she nods to me and begins to play with Aelor.
“Thank you.” I grab her hand. “Vaelons egg hatched today.” she looks up to me with a wide smile.
“Let’s see.” she starts to get up and I lead her over to the cradle. “Look at them.” she coos turning to me with watery eyes.
“His colors are so vibrant.” I run a finger down the dragons scales.
“I’m proud of you.” she hums pulling me into a hug. “Give me some time and I promise you that you will all be together.” she whispers smoothing my hair.

Two months later
I sit in the council chambers as everyone stares at me once more. I’m getting flashbacks to my childhood of meetings except this time I don’t care about the whispers. I look to my mother hopeful as she rises from her chair.
“Jasper never returned from the Kings Wood last week. Our hunts for him bore no information. At this point we can only assume the worst.” the members look to me as tears stream down my face but little do they know that they’re tears of happiness that I can finally peruse Benji.
I have no idea where or what happened to Jasper. My mother saw to his disappearance and told me not to worry about it. Once the meeting ends I sweep out of the council chambers and seal myself in my chambers as I await Benjis arrival. I sit on the ground with my children smiling at them. Aelor brings Vaelon toys and shows him how to play and it warms my heart to see my boys so close.
“Daughter?” my mothers voice carries through my doors.
“Come.” I hum and she enters and Benji is close behind her.
“Benji.” I smile and he comes and sits on the ground with us.
“Just give me one more moon and then we will announce your courtship.” she looks down at us lovingly.
“Thank you, for everything.” I look up at her with watery eyes.
“Of course.” she nods her head. “I’ll let you guys have some time.” she hums filtering out of my chambers.
“How are you?” Benji pulls me against him.
“So happy. Everything is finally working out for us.” I pull his lips against mine.
“Do you want for me to move here?” he whispers against my lips.
“I would be content if we moved a bit away from Kings Landing and lived on a farm. Our dragons can offer us protection and you can hunt with them. While I stay home and raise our babes and cook us dinner..” I hum trailing off.
“You seem to have it all planned out.” he smiles scooping up Vaelon and Aelor climbs into my lap.
“We can have some more children.” I brush Aelors hair back as he tries to wiggle back over to Benji.
“That sounds like an absolute dream.” his eyes darken. “It was always my biggest regret that I wasn’t with you when you carried them.” he bites his cheek.
“I don’t know. I got pretty demanding.” I giggle and he shakes his head.
“Then I’ll meet every single one of your demands. Happily.” he hums.

Six months after Jaspers ‘disappearance’
I’m sitting in an open field as my sons giggle and play together. I lay back and soak in the sun as our three dragons fly above us dipping and chirping in the breeze. Benji is tending to our animals and I wait for him to join us with a smile on my face.
“How are you, my beautiful wife?” he hums laying next to me spreading his hands across my growing bump.
“Content. Loved. In love.” I look to him with a smile.
“Do you think we’ll have another boy?” he hums laying us back in the grass.
“I’m hoping for a girl.” I giggle as he peppers kisses across my face.
“Gods, we’ll have a miniature version of you running around keeping our boys in line.” he rolls onto his side resting his hand on my bump once more. “You’re absolutely radiant.” his words soft.
“My mother sent a letter saying she’ll fly in at the end of the week with an egg for her.” I looking up once more watching our dragons circle us.
“Do you have a name in mind for our daughter?” he chuckles holding me closer to him.
“I have a couple but I’ll have to meet her first.” I brush his hair back. “Incoming.” I whisper too late as our sons jump on Benji.
“How are my little princes today?” he rolls over with them and showers them with affection.
“Good,” Aelor wiggles out of his grasp before running through the grass. Benji scoops up Vaelon and chases after Aelor as he giggles wildly.
I slowly get up and make my way back into the house to begin preparing for dinner. I softly hum to myself as I chop up the different ingredients and push them into an iron pot. I hear them before they even bound through the front door.
“You can’t catch me, daddy.” Aelor sprints through the front door and hides behind me. Benji ducks through the door with Vaelon on his shoulders and hunts around the house.
“Seems as if your brother is missing.” Benji says to Vaelon as Aelor giggles from behind of me. “Did you hear that?” he whispers stalking around the table.
“Behind mommy.” Vaelon points and Aelor lets out a squeal and runs back out the front door with them trailing after him.
I finish cooking with a smile on my face. I call them inside and they come running and sit around the table. This is our daily routine and I genuinely couldn’t be more content. The rest of the night we settle down together and read our boys bedtime stories before their little eyes shut for the night.
“Come,” he helps me up from the chair. “I wish to look at the stars with you.” he hums taking me down the stairs.

The Shadow Queen - Chapter I
(Daemon Targaryen x OC! Lunaerys Novak)
Prologue | Chapter two
For caution, most of this is fictional not included in the books or show!! So there will be more than a few of my original characters that have last names of main characters.
Tumblr media
The sounds of neighs and hooves pouding against the grounds echoed throught the nature, several horses moving just as happily to return to their home, as much as their riders were. The sounds of armor being clunked together, banners of a single wolf surrounded by bones and ash, colors of black and gold being waved by the cloaks on the shoulders of the warriors returning. Eyes beamed with excitement as they followed their commander to the gates of their home.
"Great warriors of the East. We have returned undefeated once again!" A strong voice boasted as she halted for her giant black wolf, stopping by the gates of her home. She wore a proud and victorious smirk under her helm.
"Once we pass through those gates, you will no longer be stray men and women. But strong and willed warriors of a won battle." Her voice had been filled with leadership, her men and women warriors cheered for their commander, pounding their fists against their armor.
The gates to their Kingdom had opened. They were home.
"Princess Lunaerys Novak, heir to the ash-blood throne, future Lady of the Shadow Hills, Warden of the East, and Commander of the mercenaries." Ser Rickard Starlight announced loudly to the people that had gathered to witness the arrival of their future Queen and the warriors of Adrithe.
"Blessings to the four gods princess."
"May the four be with our undefeated warriors."
"May the God of war honor you."
The free folk began to chant as their princess and her mercenaries rode past them towards and through the entire city. They cheered in relief and pride, their protectors had once again defeated a great threat to their Kingdom.
Lunaerys Novak unsaddled her great wolf, patting her head as she did so, giving her comfort after a long time being away in battle. "Rest my dear friend." A young boy comes her way, Alan Vaulant, her squire and the soon-to-be lord of his house, learning under her guidance.
“Princess Lunaerys, welcome home.” The boy greeted with a polite bow and smile.
“Alan, it seems she missed you as well.” Lunaerys laughed when her wolf, Pandora nudged the boy with her snout wishing to be greeted as well, “watch over her will you? And you Pandora, take care of him.” She bid both a goodbye as Alan and Pandora walked to the fields of grass to roust in.
“Princess, your father, the King, wishes for your presence in the throne room.” A knight named Aethen Starfyre called to the young woman.
Lunaerys gave a nod to her childhood friend, "Thank you Aethen, do be sure that Ser Rickard and Ser Harland don't cause too much trouble. We've only just returned."
"You have my word princess." Ser Aethen chuckled, joining the Starlight twins into the ale house.
Lunaerys made her way to the throne room, she knew who was expecting her after her arrival to Adrithe. Her father. King Aelor. As she walked her way through the godswood the servants and maids all bowed when she walked past them, earning small smiles from the Princess. Her armor made a small noise as her black and gold cloak waved behind her.
"Ser Fergus, I see you're still alive old man." Lunaerys teased with a grin as she caught the eye of her father's friend guarding the throne room door.
"Princess I see you were victorious." Ser Fergus Redmond scoffed playfully. "I was sure the rogues would've killed you this time, I lost coin because of you." His grin matched her own.
"Careful Ser, I can have your head for your words."
"Oh but who would put up with you then?" Ser Redmond laughed.
"Is he angry?" Lunaerys asked, her bright mood changing instantly, remembering why she had come to the Throne room.
"He was for a short time, you're his only child, Lunaerys." Ser Fergus wore a glum look remembering the way his friend suffered after Lunaerys went off into battle, not knowing the status of his only child.
Lunaerys faced the ground in shame.
She never meant to cause her father any pain. She then faced forward as Ser Redmond opened the throne room doors. "Thank you, Ser."
She walked down the short steps, where her eyes met those whom she inherited it from. Her father, Aelor Novak, King of Adrithe. Many would've found him slightly intimidating, as the great King sat on a throne made of bones.
Lunaerys shuddered as she took in the presence of her father. His once bright blue eyes, now dull with worry.
She was to kneel on one knee, her head ready to be bowed preparing herself to apologize to her father for her doings. She never met the ground. Instead was buried into familiar arms, feeling the warmth of the wolf blood flowing through his veins.
"My girl. My little warrior." Aelor whispered, holding his daughter tightly to him, too afraid to let go. One year. A year that his only child had gone to war never once hearing word of her status. Paranoid thoughts ran through his head during the twelve moons. Was she hurt? Was she even alive? "You are home. Thank the gods."
Lunaerys did not hesitate another second and wrapped her arms around her father, returning his embrace. There a father and daughter had reunited.
"I'm sorry father."
Her father stepped back slightly, his hands holding onto Lunaerys' shoulders.
"No need for your apology. I should've understood, having a warrior as a daughter would never be easy. I just never wanted to lose you, like I lost your mother."
Lunaerys smiled sadly at the mention of her mother, she had died of a fever that plagued their Kingdom, leaving peacefully in her sleep.
"Would she be proud of me?" Her mismatched eyes, one gold like every member of house Novak and the other blue as the seas, just like her mother had the. Her eyes were filled with sadness and hope.
"Very, my little warrior." Aelor smiled before he placed a gentle kiss on her head.
In the throne room, a father and daughter had been reunited. But soon they would be separated as the girl would soon be of age to begin her own journey.
___________________________
"Welcome to you all! For tonight's feast will be in the honor of the return of my daughter and her mercenaries. For they have slayed another enemy, vanquishing the threat to our people!" King Aelor announced to the court that it had been settled for tonight's evening.
The noble houses all clapped and cheered for their princess and her mercenaries, either slamming their fists or their cups on the tables. They were proud that their Kingdom remained as they always had been. Unconquered by their enemies, protected by the wolf of the East.
"Tonight we shall thank and honor those who risked their lives for our Kingdom. May the God of War honor them and the others to allow them a place in their heavenly Kingdom" Lunaerys and the rest of those present had joined their King in his toast lifting their cups of ale into the air, "let tonight's feast commence."
With the words of their King the noble houses had begun their feasting, making conversations within their own house or with people from others. Though men and some women would sneak quick glances to the royal family's table, hoping to catch the beautiful eyes of the Princess. She had surely changed over the years in war, her face strong, jaw defined. Her beautiful mismatched eyes seemed brighter than ever before.
Lunaerys held a small grin behind her cup of ale, it was amusing as she felt the not subtle looks being thrown her way. Her grin grew as Aethen gave an amused snort her way. House Starfyre had been sworn to her own house since her great-great grandfather was King of Adrithe, she would find herself missing something, if Aethen was not by her side. They had been long friends ever since they were mere babes, their mothers friends before them. To add, they were born on the same day.
"Princess Lunaerys, would you so honor me. And join me for a dance." Ser Rickard had asked from a few feet away from the royal table.
Lunaerys nodded and joined the knight on the floor.
Music began to play, drums bearing like hearts of winds, calling out to the souls of the people. The particular song was one of Lunaerys' favorites, a song created for Adrithe's victory against the Dragons.
Lords and Ladies joined the princess and the knight on the floor, as the dance was turning to a switch in partners. The melody softened to something that was known by history, this particular dance was to resemble the one that was once shared between King Silas Novak and Queen Visenya Targaryen.
Forever forbidden love.
"You look radiant tonight, Lunaerys." Rickard whispered to the princess' ear.
"You clean up well Rickard. I almost did not recognize you." Lunaerys stifles a chuckle when the knight glared at her playfully.
"You wound me princess." Rickard lifted Lunaerys in his arms as the others followed in suit, the dance replica of the wolf and dragon. "You have once again lead us to victory, how does it feel?"
The eastern princess sighed deeply with a small smile.
"Good. Our home remains its own. Though my father has informed me, this will only add to the incoming ravens of betrothal offers."
Ser Rickard laughed, twirling the princess around a few times, before taking her in his arms again. "Anyone would be honored to have a woman such as yourself as a wife. I know of someone that would die for your hand.." It was now Lunaerys who lightly chuckled under her breath, "Who did you have in mind, Ser Starlight?" She teased, but before she received an answer she was spun to the next partner,
Now she was in the arms of the other Starlight twin, Ser Harland. One thing that was acknowledged by the people of Mordun, was that everyone knew the closeness the Starlight twins had with the princess. Though small rumors began that it was either Rickard or Harland that was in a secret relationship Lunaerys, but none were so brave to whisper these rumors in the Starlight twins’ faces, nor for it to make word to her father, King Aelor, who would surely cut the tongues of those who whispered of his only child, meeting their death soon after.
“Harland.” Lunaerys greeted with a smile.
“Princess.” Harland returned with a cheeky grin, without ease lifting the young woman in his arms and circling both of themselves around.
The two teenagers were completely oblivious to the many stares they were getting, the others in attendance either whispered the countless rumors made in their minds, or they gushed how beautiful Lunaerys and Harland would be together. They saw as they danced together, their height was laughable, but an adorable one. Two fierce and strong souls. They had grown together, and fought together. They were always seen near one another when Aethen was not by her side. They were Princess Lunaerys Novak and Ser Harland Starlight. A wolf and hound. A princess and knight. Friends for eternity.
_______________________________________________________
King Aelor sat in his council meeting the following morrow, rather focused to the conversations happening around him. As custom he sat at the head of the table, his closest advisor Lord Ambrose Redmond, brother to Ser Fergus, his sworn protector, and another dear friend. He tried to stay focused on the Master of Whispers speaking to him about something unimportant to the council. He ran his fingers against the russet colored fur of his large wolf, Allyan, who even kneeling to the ground reached past Aelor's height.
“What point are you trying to make, Lord Peter?” King Aelor huffed, leaning forward on his arms that rested against the table.
“A raven was spotted late at night, your grace.” Lord Peter Lagos began to backtrack to his reason for this meeting, handing the letter to Ser Fergus, who then handed the letter to the King.
“A three-headed dragon seal?” The Wolf King said in slight surprise. It has been long since the Dragons of King’s Landing ever tried to contact the Kingdom of Adrithe, since after his father became King.
“The Targaryen’s?” Lord Lucas Starfyre, the Master of Laws, asked in wonder. Why have the, above the gods and men believers, send them a raven? It has been nearly twenty years since their last attempt.
The council watched in anticipation as Aelor unraveled the letter. The Kings’ eyes followed each letter as he read them, his eyes widening in shock, then in slight annoyance as he reached the end. “Of course, another raven asking for my daughters’ hand.”
The council looked at each other before looking at their King worriedly.
“Surely the King does not offer his grandson to take her as a second wife?” Lady Myriah Vaulant, the Mistress of Ships asked. The Kingdom had known that Prince Viserys’ wife had failed to bring a son, and gave birth to a firstborn daughter instead. They did not shame the lady Aemma, but they felt some sort of pity as she was forced to another pregnancy shortly after the miscarriage of her lost child.
“No. But Jaehaerys does offer his youngest grandson, Prince Daemon Targaryen.”
The name of the dragon prince caught the attention of Aelor. It was no secret that the adventures of Westeros’ Rogue Prince made it all the way to Adrithe. The prince was said to enjoy his freedom and liked to cause trouble with that advantage coming with being of royal blood, many called him a womanizer for bedding many women in the brothels, but no one would dare shame him as not only was a prince, but he was also not married.
Though King Jaehaerys Targaryen had hoped with the things he heard of the intelligent and strong minded princess of Adrithe, Lunaerys would be able to hound down his grandson to become a good man. But Aelor would not have his daughter forced into a loveless marriage, nor one of convenience, he would give her the same opportunity he had.
“It seems our princess has made quite the impression during the battle, impressing a member of the Targaryen family takes quite a lot.” Lord Redmond snickered towards the KIng, but then sent him a small glare when Aelor kicked him from under the table.
“Who knows of the reasons that King Jaehaerys has to offer his grandson, but I will not give my daughter, unless she decides it is what she wants.” The council nodded with agreement to their King's words.
“Where is the princess, if I may ask your grace?” Lady Solia Darros questioned.
King Aelor smiled, his daughter was not one for meetings just yet. He had given her a break from her duties after being away for a year, his daughter deserved to be a young woman with freedom before she was backed into her duties forever.
“My daughter spends her time as she wishes, Lady Darros. She has a free spirit, just like her mother, one that can never be diminished.”
As the council continued with their conversations, a certain Princess had left her chambers and took her loyal companion for a small ride into the forests.
She was truly a free spirit.

Lunaerys held her bow close, drawing to the target in front of her, her eyes stilled on the sight, a large boar sniffing away to the trails the young woman made to draw it in. She held her breath as it came closer, then, with one breath out, she let her arrow loose. The boar let out noises of pain as it began to scurry away, but it was met with its end when a large wolf pounced onto it. Wails of its strangulation were heard loudly, before it limped in the locked jaws of its killer, crimson liquid appearing on the snout of the wolf drawing lines down into the grassy ground.
The princess walked closer to her companion, “You did well my girl, enjoy your catch.” She walked close to a tree sitting on its sprouting roots, she relaxed against the tall life. The scenery around her was beautiful, that is something she loved about her home, the beauty of the surrounding nature. The trees moving with life with the winds coursing movements, the bright skies glowing bright with the sun's radiance.
“You always preferred the outside world.” A teasing voice made Lunaerys open her eyes and sigh in announced.
"And you always had a way to rekove my peace, Aethen." Lunaerys joked her eyes closing once again, as she leaned back to the tree behind her. She chuckled when hearing his scoff.
"Well, who would protect the dear princess of Adrithe better than I? Her sworn guard and her most cherished friend." Aethen praised himself as he practically invaded Lunaerys' calming space by taking a seat right next to her. They both bumped their shoulders together playfully, trying to push the other away. "Hello Pandora, at least someone enjoys my presence." Aethen exclaimed with glee when the large wolf greeted him with a nudge to his side, he ran his fingers against her black fur.
"Traitor." The Novak scoffed with a pout. Pushing Pandora away when the wolf tried to nuzzle her head to her side as well. But the princess gave in, and began to scratch Pandora's head behind her ears. Lunaerys chuckled at the wolf's pleased huffs, and as Pandora layed behind both she and Aethen, her body curling around them.
"What is on your mind, Lunaerys?" Aethen asked with concern. The young man had noticed the way Lunaerys had been acting since they returned to Adrithe, she seemed different, more so than any time they had left to battle, "Is it Wayland again?"
Lunaerys eyes opened suddenly at the particular name. She had nor heard anyone else say the name in almost three years. It still hurt, hearing that name. One she had once cherished so deeply.
"No—no Aethen it is not Wayland that had been plaguing my mind. But rather my realization of the duties I will be expected to meet."
Aethen smiled lowly, "Ah yes. Your father has informed me of the many ravens that he received of Lords all over Westeros offering the hands of their sons. You are quite the topic, my dear friend."
Lunaerys scoffed in distaste, "The only reason for that many offers is due to those Lords wanting to see their son as King to an unconquered Kingdom. It is all they lust for in Westeros, power and their ambition bleeds to make it possible."
"Yes but Adrithe is different, Lunaerys. They may become your future husband, but it is you that we will all see as Queen. It is you that we will follow, not them, but you."
The Princess smiled at her friend and protector, she leaned her head against his shoulder, "Thank you, Aethen. You're always helping to ease my mind."
"It is my duty Princess, not only as your sworn shield, but as your friend." Aethen said resting his cheek against her head, "I heard that you have received another betrothal offer this morrow."
Lunaerys snorted a chuckle, "Yes those pesky Lannisters do not know when to stop do they?"
"I do don't speak of the Lannister's, I speak of the offer Jaehaerys Targaryen has made to offer the hand of his youngest grandson." The knight mumbled before Lunaerys moved her head away, and looked up to him suprised.
"Jaehaerys Targaryen sent my father a raven?" Lunaerys asked out loud, but mostly asked herself. Why would Jaehaerys try to offer his grandson? Perhaps this was another way of the Westeros King to men the broken treaty that his uncle long broke. "Interesting. How it would be to marry a man of dragon blood."
Aethen raised a brow in question, though he was equally concern when he saw Lunaerys look in thought. "Surely you're not thinking of accepting Lunaerys. Daemon Targaryen is wild, they call him the rogue prince for reasons, my dear friend."
The Princess only ignored him, she truly wondered what all the gossip about the Targaryen Prince was about. He surely couldn't be as handsome as they say, but she did believe the Whispers of his lustful ways in the brothels. Lunaerys knew that Jaehaerys wanted this marriage as a way to tame his youngest grandson, to better control his ways and become the ideal Prince.
"Of course not, who do take me for? While this would do well for duty, as Daemon Targaryen is to be known as a fine knight within his realms, but, I am not sure he will do well here in Adrithe." Lunaerys stifles a giggle imagining the trials that Daemon would have to go through in Adrithe to become her husband and a knight on their terms, not in Westeros.
How fun it would be to see it.
"Ah, the trials of earning the knighthood," Aethen sighed remembering the day he passed his own and earned his knighthood, "not many succeed the trials. But it would be entertaining to see him try completing the trials for your marriage."
Lunaerys and Aethen laughed together, but as they did so they stopped when King Aelor stepped into their view, his wolf Allyan standing tall behind him.
"Your grace." Aethen bowed now standing on his feet.
"Aethen, do mind to leave me and my daughter for a moment?" Aelor asked with a small smile at the knight.
"Of course your grace." Ser Starfyre sent once last look to Lunaerys before he walked away, leaving the King and his heir alone.
King Aelor let out a deep sigh, as he sat next to his only child he looked around. The small sounds of the water from the river clashing softy with the rocks in between. The area was quite beautiful, the greenery around seemed to grow even more beautiful with the sun's rays. He remembers this place.
The only place where he took his wife, Erys, the day he asked for her hand in marriage. Then after their daughter was born, they brought her here and would spend their days away from the stressful court.
This was the place they could just be together.
"I'm sure you either heard, or Aethen has informed you of the raven that was sent to Adrithe?" The king asked his daughter as they both stared towards the flowing river. But he received no answer from her only more silence, "Lunaerys, know that I would never force you to marry."
"I know", Lunaerys turned to look at her father. She wore a smile, one that resembled her mother's, "but I understand my duty father."
Aelor took his daughter into his arms, basking her in his comfort filled warmth that only a father could bring to his child. He tried to keep his daughter happy, he knew she appreciated the things he did for her, but he so hated the ways things were. He loathed that his daughter focused more on things that were yet to come, rather than to live her life in the slight freedom she had. But he knew that his daughter was too loyal and too wise to go against her duites, from a young age she was taught the things an heir to a Kingdom should be. She learned too much before she was to live happy life of a child.
"My daughter. My only child and solace in this world, you will make a fine Queen to this Kingdom."
Lunaerys smiled and held her father just as much as he held her. She enjoyed these moments when it was the to of them, a father and daughter just being themselves, carefree.
"Linōt eyssīa, mīedys." I love you, my daughter.
"Linōt eyssīa, lokto." I love you, father.
The father and daughter sat in the peaceful silence.
They enjoyed the breathtaking world around them, for they both knew that soon they would not see it again in many years.
_______________________________________________________
It had been two moons since King Jaehaerys Targaryen sent raven to Adrithe. It had been nearly one hundred years since anyone from Westeros has seen a person of Old Flame blood, Jaehaerys had remembered the last time he saw a member from the house Novak. It was when he first became King, and he tried to reconcile with King Lucian Novak to bring back the peace treaty his grandfather, Aegon I, had created. But the wolves of the East were not ones to forgive and forget if without good reason, for House Novak was one of loyalty and trust. Maegor Targaryen had long broken that bond.
It was early morrow, Jaehaerys sat in his own chambers breaking his fast in silence until a servant of his house came in silently.
"Your grace." The young man bowed standing next to the King's sworn guard.
"What is it?" Jaehaerys sighed tiredly, he only was visited either if important news came to King's Landing, or his youngest grandson Daemon had done something Daemon like.
"A falcon was spotted before the sun's light had risen, it carried this in its hold." The young man walked closer to the King handing him the rolled parchment.
The eyes of the King widened.
A black and gold wolf sigil. Unbroken at that.
"Thank you, you may leave." Jaehaerys dismissed the young man with a wave of his hand, he waited until the doors to his chambers closed shut to open the letter.
Jaehaerys Targaryen,
It is to my understanding that you have long wished to fix what your uncle had long broken many years ago. War had been called against your Kingdom and mine, for things that were mistaken and took to far. Both our families and Kingdom's suffered for such mistakes.
Though, we both wish to make things right.
My house, House Novak is not one to easily forgive nor forget. We have not forgotten what your house has done to mine, but it seems you bring a well enough reason to fix what was broken. But know this, if it is your wish to give the hand of your grandson to my daughter he must face many challenges and trials against our most fine fighters in our realm. For the hand of my daughter is no prize, for she does not need anyone to rule greatly beside her.
But alas my daughter understands her duties, as any good heir should.
In the name of King Aelor Novak and his heir Princess Lunaerys Novak, we fully accept your offer. For your grandson will wed my daughter if passed the trials given. Pray to your gods of the Valyrian or the Seven, for if your house takes our forgiveness to an dismay. We will finish what my ancestors had long started.
— King Aelor Novak, First of his name. King of Adrithe, Lord of Morukk, and Warden of the East, the Protector of the Old Flame.
Jaehaerys Targaryen was relieved, House Targaryen and House Novak would be untied as they were longed to be. But he knew the grieve consequences this could have on not only his Kingdom, but to his family. For he knew if his blood would continue their rebellious ways, filled with anger, betrayal.
For the only thing that could bring the end to the house of the dragons, was itself.
Lunaerys and House Novak would be the savior his house needed.

Summary: The beginning of House Raengyreon and House Targaryen. The history of the two houses joining together. Meshing together as one.
[Next Chapter]
Tumblr media
Aelora Targaryen.
Aelora Raengyreon Targaryen.
Her parentage?
Vhaelys Targaryen and Rhaenar Raengyreon.
Rhaenar Raengyreon is the son of an ancient dragonlord of Valyrian house. House Raengyreon, it is an old house. It is just as old as House Targaryen. According to some people, mythic legends, it might have been older. Even then, it entirely relies on the storyteller. Depending on what myth is told. How it is told. Along with what details are left in and taken out.
Entirely shaping how someone else could see House Raengyreon. Some feared it. Some became suspicious. Others loved to hate them for whatever reason they might have had. One thing was clear. Every telling about them? No two are ever the same.
Raengyreon known for its love of preserving of every possible part of Valyrian culture. Including its militia, warships, art and music. Anything and everything Valyrian deemed deserving of preservation. The mindset of preserving everything they could. Echoing into the descendants of the house.
Adapting while preserving as much they could. Loving their past while adapting for the future. Hand in hand like a story of two lovers doomed to die together. Like a comet falling from the sky and killing people if it lands inside a city with a large populace.
Either way. They loved both the past and the future. Letting go of one would be akin to severing a limb from their body with a rusted, serrated blade. Leaving chunks of flesh behind. Barely hanging on, dangling from the mutilated limb like a piece of string.
Tumblr media
Months before the betrothal would become official. Rhaenar serenaded Vhaelys. Often singing valyrian songs to pique her interest. Frequently giving her rather lavish gifts in a colour of her house. House Targaryen. Red ruby necklaces with silver. Black extravagant dresses. Which would fall down to the floor.
His own dragon unlike Vhaelys's dragon is a sea serpent. He introduced to her as Vermith. To create a connection with her going beneath the layers of a typically normal courtship. Vermith, his sea dragon. Deemed long enough to wrap around Dragonstone twice. Almost three times.
He knew of her House, he knew of how they valued their dragons and their might. He knew it was another way to speak to her on a different level entirely. Not only that, but he valued her dragon as well. Often praising Jēda, Vhaelys's dragon, in Valyrian. As much as he could and whenever he was able to.
Dragons were his passion as well. He felt as if every dragon no matter how big or small deserved to be praised.
Vermith, he is normally passed down to firstborn children to help them adapt to dragons and their care. To ensure children knew how to treat a dragon with proper care and respect. In doing so, they would know how to care for their own dragon once they reached a proper age. Normally, when the child would reach the age of 16.
Tumblr media
Aelora's older brother, Aelor, given Vermith. Once he had reached the age of 16. As it is his birthright as the firstborn. Adamant in showing him off to his younger sister, Aelora. In turn, she loved it more than anything else. Seeing something huge, powerful and ancient like Vermith fuelled her imagination like a frantic poet wishing to love something she could not have. “He is so huge.” Aelora gasped, her voice filled with awe and wonder.
“When you get your own dragon. I'm sure they will be just a beautiful.” Aelor reminded her.
“You think so?” Aelora Targaryen tilted her head at the notion of her own dragon. Her older brother, Aelor Targaryen. “I hope it is just as pretty as Vermith.”
Aelor chuckled, ruffling his sister's hair. “Even prettier, little sis. Maybe it'll be silver and shimmer like moonlight.”
“Like moonstone or opal?” Aelora pressed, thinking of the possibilities. “Perhaps even like the stain glass windows in the septs?”
Aelor, the patient loving brother, knelt before Aelora, bringing himself to her level. “It could be all of those things, and more,” he said, a smile gracing his lips. “Imagine a dragon with scales that shimmered like moonlight, catching every colour like a living kaleidoscope. Or maybe its wings would be translucent, like stained-glass, their hues deepening and lightening as it soared through the sky.”
Aelora's eyes sparkled with excitement. A dragon like that, so unlike the usual blacks and greens of their family's mounts, felt fantastical, almost mythical. “Do you think such a dragon exists, brother?” she whispered, her voice filled with a childlike wonder.
Aelor grinned. “There are tales, whispers of dragons from the Valyrian Freehold before the Doom,” he explained, his voice hushed with reverence. “Dragons with scales that shimmered like twilight and eyes like molten gold. Perhaps your dragon will be a descendant of one of those magnificent creatures.”
“That would be so cool.” Aelora's mind buzzed with ideas. “Like the story mother said about the large creatures of the sea. Like the big prehistoric sharks.” Sharks were her favourite creature. Ironic, since Vermith was a sea serpent.
“I like to think there are as many types of dragons as there are sharks.” Aelora confessed to Aelor. As if it was some kind of dark and hidden secret. “From flying ones to the ones in the deep sea.”
Aelor's smile faltered slightly. “Dragons,” he corrected gently, “are a whole different story, Aelora. They are intelligent creatures, not beasts like sharks. They choose their riders, and the bond between them is unlike anything else in the world.”
“I… I… I know silly.” Aelora replied. “There are many….many breeds of sharks. Some we do know about and the ones we don't know about. It stands to reason that there are dragon types we may never know about. Think about it. A deep sea dragon of bioluminescence or like the fish with a light that lures their food or even one that has transparent body that would reveal their squishy insides.”
Aelor laughed, his earlier apprehension melting away. “Alright, alright,” he conceded. “Maybe there are some deep-sea dragons lurking in the shadows, feasting on bioluminescent fish with their squishy insides.” He teased, making a face that contorted his features in mock horror.
Aelora giggled, shoving him playfully. “See? You can imagine it too!”
Tumblr media
Aelor chuckled, dodging Aelora's playful shove with practised ease. A glint of something akin to admiration flickered in his eyes. “You have a very.…imaginative mind, Aelora,” he admitted. “Perhaps you should be the one writing the dragon stories, not me.”
“Maybe I will,” Aelora countered, a spark of determination lighting up her face. “My deep-sea dragon could be a real terror of the deep! Imagine, with razor-sharp teeth and glowing scales that could blind its prey!”
Aelor tapped his chin thoughtfully. “Intriguing. But wouldn't a glowing creature be easily spotted in the dark depths?”
“Aha!” Aelora exclaimed, her eyes widening with a new idea. “Then it could have bioluminescent lures, like those angler fish! It could attract its prey with a beautiful light display, then BAM! Dinner!”
Aelor threw his head back and laughed, a rich, genuine sound that warmed the air. “See, Aelora? That's why you should be a storyteller! That's brilliant.”
Aelora beamed, basking in his praise. “So, do you believe there could be deep-sea dragons now?”
Aelor considered this for a moment. “The world is a vast and mysterious place, Legends often hold a sliver of truth. Who knows what secrets might lie hidden in the uncharted depths?” He winked. “Perhaps one day, you'll be the one to discover them, Captain Aelora of the Deep!”
Aelora's heart swelled with a mixture of excitement and a strange, thrilling anticipation. “Captain Aelora of the Deep,” she repeated, savouring the sound of it. A mischievous grin spread across her face. “Maybe… I… I… I will.”
Tumblr media
Aelora drew pictures of deep-sea dragons. The art journal, large enough to be the size of a map folded in half. She had books of encyclopedias of deep sea creatures around her. She would take inspiration from the large, heavy books.
The picture of a future warship, she called it “The Defiant Blood Rose,” or simply “Blood Rose,” depending on what name someone would have called it. It bore a massive valyrian steel blade in the front to cut through ice, ships and sea creatures that would dare to attack it. The main wood used? Combination of oak, teak, and mahogany to create a strong and resilient hull. Her idea to the shipwrecks of older ships to create a mosaic of reclaimed wood, each plank whispering tales of past voyages and battles.
The figurehead made of marble in the shape of a siren at the back of the ship to ward away potential thieves. In a scribbled note, “A sign there is danger here. Enter at your own peril.” and the massive blade, “To cut through a ship or chunks of ice like a knife through butter.”
Canons either side of it, spewing fire and lead in a deadly dance meant to emulate the bioluminescent lures of her deep-sea dragon. A captain's quarters with a massive window overlooking the ocean, a sprawling map covering most of the known world, a sextant, and spyglass resting on a sturdy table beside a comfortable armchair. The bed? A bed nook, built into the hull of the ship, facing the window, allowing the Captain to wake up to the sunrise over the waves.
"Someday this will be a real warship. Someday it will exist. Someday I, Aelora Targaryen, will sail the Blood Rose across uncharted seas, a captain not just of men, but of the very legends whispered on the wind."

Rift (Alicent Hightower x Velaryon!OC)
I might have seen this idea somewhere else, but here we go. If you know of anyone who wrote something like this please tag them so I can give proper credit.
I was thinking that Rhaenys and Corlys have a second son (who I have named Aelor), and Alicent would fall in love with one another as children. Despite Otto knowing that Alicent loves Aelor, he forces her to try to go to Visery's chambers, just like in the show. Alicent obviously feels guilty and eventually tells Aelor. Viserys announces to his small council that he will marry Alicent. Rhaenyra gets more mad at Viserys because she knows Alicent loves her cousin and would never willingly betray him. Alicent asks Aelor to sleep together so she doesn't have to marry Viserys, but they run away with Rhaenyra's help. They marry on Driftmark and leave Westeros to avoid Aelor being executed for stealing the King's betrothed.
Aelor's actions deepen the rift between House Targaryen and House Velaryon, and maybe the dance could stem from that or Laenor marries Rhaenyra because of what Aelor did. Overall, Alicent is very happy and in love with a husband who actually wants to be with her.

Valaena did not mind that she was her father's second daughter, she did not mind that her father loved her elder sister more because she had someone else to love her, her uncle Daemon. Every since she was a small child he was there by her side comforting her and teaching her.
Valaena found herself falling for her uncle as time flew by and she grew older and more beautiful. Valaena will never forget the day her uncle found her hiding under her bad when she was merely five name days old, she was crying in pain after some court lady mocked her for not having a dragon. Rhaenyra tried to comfort her sister as much as she could but she was the heir after all and she was needed elsewhere. Daemon noticed the lack of his niece that day when she failed to show to their Valyrian lesson and he set off in search of her. Ever since that day Daemon made sure to make it clear that whoever mentions the fact that Valaena had no dragon anywhere in front of her will be beheaded even against the will of their king and Valaena's father, Viserys.
As Valaena grew it was almost impossible for Daemon to hide his attraction towards his niece. Valaena cried the day his marriage to Lady Rhae was announced fearing his departure however now that was a mere memory after almost ten years of marriage. Valaena was over the moon when her father allowed them to marry in the ways of old Valyria. She designed her dress herself and wore it wit pride and she barely flinched at the touch of the blade.
Daemon adored his niece and that everyone knew so when Valaena fell pregnant merely five moons after their marriage no one was shocked. Daemon's attraction only grew with their child in her belly. Valaena used to sit in the room prepared for their child and read books of old Valyria to her belly. More than once Daemon would catch her in that position. Daemon was there with her when her labours started, he sat behind her supporting her weight when she could not anymore, he was the first person to hold their baby boy after the maester.
Aelor was the name the couple chose for their son. Daemon sat with Valaena for hours in their bed staring at the bundle in her arms created from love. That was when Daemon uttered that word for the first time, he expressed his love for his niece/wife and their son. Valaena cried in relief that her feeling were mutual. The couple cuddled with their son and spent days in that position.
Daemon was so proud of his small family that by the second week of Aelor's birth he sat atop Caraxes with Valaena chained in front of him and Aelor strapped protectively against her body as they flew to king's landing for their son to meet Viserys his grandfather/uncle.
Ever since Valaena has given birth to three more children, Jaenara their second born and first daughter, only two years younger than Aelor. The came their third child Naerys, their second daughter with mismatching eyes like Daemon's mother, she was three years younger than Jaenera. Lastly came Valarr, their second son who was only three moons old.
Valaena was content with her life and enjoyed every second she spent with her family. Daemon enjoyed sitting in front of the fire in their chamber with their children around them as he told them stories of the wars he fought and sometimes stories of his and their mother's youthful days. Jaenera and Naerys enjoyed the latter more while Aelor preferred the war stories.
Much to Valaena's relief Aelor's egg hatched when he was still a babe at four moons old, his dragon was as dark as the night sky yet he was not black, if you look close enough you would see the dark blue in his scales and when he flew under the sun his scales showed the colour proudly, Aelor chose the nam Lyrax for his dragon when he was five years of age and hearing about his cousin, Rhaenyra's dragon.
Jaenera's egg hatched when she was only days old and her dragon was of white colour, it was a beautiful dragon that many envied. He was not only beautiful but rapidly growing, he was bigger than a six years old dragon should look. Jaenera was able to ride him when she reached her fifth name day much to Valaena's horror, that night she cuddled her daughter in her sleep begging her as she slept to never do that ever again until she mastered the art of dragon riding, much to Daemon's amusement and that night he also whispered reassurances in his wife's ear that nothing will happen to their baby girl as long as he lived. Only recently did Jaenera name him Suvion, which meant ice in Valyrian.
Naerys's dragon took her time to hatch when Naerys was two name days old, now she was nowhere near Suvion or Lyrax being only a year old but her beautiful purple scales attracted much attention when she flew alongside Lyrax, Suvion and Caraxes, the four dragons were mostly seen with each other feeling their riders emotions and love for one another. One time Jaenera was mad at Aelor when he accidentally ripped her favourite dress, Suvioin refused to be anywhere near Lyrax for a whole week after that just like Jaenera refused to be anywhere near Aelor for a week.
Valaena and Daemon regret now visiting king's landing after Valarr's birth. Unfortunately during their visit a plague spread throughout the capital, it was called the red plague because it would make it's victims vomit blood the first week of their infection then coughing would follow, the symptoms would become worse each passing day that by the tenth day the victim would not be able to keep a singular bite food in their belly and would die from both starvation and pain.
"Help him, please" Valaena begged the maester watching as her baby boy of only three moons moaned in pain as he wiggled in his cot. He was as pale as a sheet of paper. Daemon wrapped his arm around her waist keeping her close fearing her going anywhere near their infected son, he could not handle losing both of them at the same time.
"We are doing our best princess" The old maester bowed his grey haired head. Valaena wanted to scream and shout with each pained cry her son let from his small body. She wished it was her who has been infected, the plague was merciless and killed young children along adults but it would be less painful if it were her dying not her son. Valarr had so much to live for, his egg still hasn't hatched in his crib and Daemon feared now that it never will.
"Your best is not enough" Valaena surprised even herself for her harsh words, she was never one for such harshness.
Daemon tightened his grip on his wife as she tried to step over to their son. She wanted to comfort him as his little mouth opened as he coughed and a little drop of blood dripped down his chin, he had lost so much weight, the rolls Valaena loved so much were slowly disappearing.
"Come my love" Daemon whispered in her ear as he tried pulling her out of the room. Valaena tried to fight but soon her body betrayed her and she slumped against Daemon's chest with tears streaming down her face. Daemon made her stop feeding their son from her own breast in fear of her catching the plague, neither of them knew where their son had caught the plague from.
"Shhh, my silver haired princess, I've got you" Daemon whispered in her ear holding her weight up for her. Valaena sobbed against his chest feeling weak, she was unable to help her own child, her blood.
"I feel so useless" Daemon confessed to Viserys one day as they sat together in the gardens watching as Jacaerys and Lucaerys tried lighting Jaenera and Naerys's mood while Aelor was letting his frustration out duelling some knight and he was showing talent even at eight name days.
"You are not useless, Daemon. You are no god to prevent plagues" Viserys reassured patting Daemon's shoulder. His words did nothing to comfort the distressed father. A scream broke out from the open window in one of the palace rooms, Daemon will recognise this scream anywhere and anytime, it was Valaena. Daemon wasted no time running back to the castle trusting Viserys and Rhaenyra to care for the rest of his children.
Daemon paused at the doors of Valarr's room where Valaena sat in the middle on her knees hugging a tiny blanket. Valarr was no longer in his cot and there were no maesters in the room anymore, there was only Valaena and her handmaiden, Emilia. Emilia was standing in the corner with a hand covering her mouth as tears streamed down her face.
No one needed to say what had happened for Daemon to understand what was happening. He shook his head not accepting the reality, he had hoped and prayed for the first time in his life for his son. He kneeled down beside Valaena who had her face buried in the blanket. He touched her back as lightly as he possibly could but her head still snapped up so their eyes could meet.
"H-he was not b-breathing" Valaena whispered. Daemon closed his eyes trying to stop the images of his son's body from flashing in his mind, he had not witnessed it but he mind was cruel enough to plaster an image of his baby boy's body in his cot unmoving wide eyes with blood dripping down his tiny mouth as his eyes starred emotionlessly at the ceiling.
Daemon had no words so he only wrapped an arm around Valaena letting her collapse against his chest screaming for her youngest son. Daemon and Valaena stayed in the room for hours holding each other. For the first time in many many years Daemon shed tears but his them in the croak of Valaena's neck. Eventually he had enough strength to pull her out of the room and into their own and laid her in their bed. He held her throughout the night, neither knew when they fell asleep holding onto each other still crying not wanting to face anyone and the reality of their son's death.
Valaena was the firs tone to wake up with her back to Daemon while he held her close to his chest. She got out of the bed and walked over to the window cursing the baring sun as it shined bright in the sky. Valaena changed her clothes into a black dress feeling like all the colours meant nothing now, there symbols of happiness and she was no longer happy. She wanted to get away from this wretched place. She braided her hair to get it out of her face and left the room leaving Daemon asleep with blood shed eyes.
She sneaked through the secret passaged Daemon once showed her in her teenage years. She stepped out into the forest where she was completely alone. She took a deep breath of the fresh air when the reality crashed down on her for the first time that day and tears streamed down her face again, she hiked up her dress and ran, she wanted to run away from the capital. She ran as if there was a great bear running after her, like The Stranger himself was after her after he had taken her baby boy from her.
Daemon woke up feeling annoyed with the sun shinning on him. He reached over to Valaena's side to find it empty. His heart dropped to his stomach and he sat up wide eyed searching for her in the room but there was no evidence of her anywhere. Daemon pushed the blanket off his body, his bare feet padded down on the stone floor as he ran out of the room. His guard followed after him without question. Daemon ran into Valarr's room and found on maids cleaning it, then he ran to his other children's room and found all three in their beds asleep still.
"Where is the princess?" Daemon asked finally. His guard had no answer and looked down in shame. Daemon felt fear creep into him, what if she has done something to herself? What if she was hurt? What ifs ran through his mind as the whole castle woke up to his screams demanding them find his wife. He could not lose her too, Valarr was more than enough.
Valaena stopped running when she reached a clearing in the middle of the forest, she had no idea where she was or how far from the castle she was. Her chest heaved as she fell to her knees. her hands hurst as they fell on stones on the floor. Her head was hung low as sobs left her lips. She felt like her heart was being ripped out of her, she blamed herself for not protecting her baby. she blamed herself for suggesting they visit her father. She blamed herself for the pain she was causing Daemon and her children.
The sound of flapping wings did not disturb her nor the sound of a large body landing a couple of yards away from her. She was too deep into her screams and pain to realise. Something nudged her head making her look up and through her blurry vision she saw the huge head of a dragon she recognised form images in the books. She gasped in shock and fear falling back onto her back and looked up at the dragon, Vermithor did not back away from her and kept staring down at her, he let out a huff nudging her knee. Valaena felt compelled as she raised her hand slowly not even thinking of the consequences if the dragon decided to make her a meal. She let out a small gasp at the feeling for Vermithor's scales under her hand. The big dragon pushed against her hand lightly.
Daemon watched as Aelor held Jaenera and Naerys as they cried wanting their mother. He was going crazy and his only comfort right now was Rhaenyra as she took lead in ordering the guards around to her sister's favourite locations around the keep. Daemon looked out at the sky watching as Caraxes flew around anxiously feeling his rider's emotions however Viserys forbade Daemon from leaving the castle in fear of the plague which made Daemon want to rip his brother in half and right now he was thinking of a way to escape and search for his love on his own.
"Shhh, we will find her soon" Rhaenyra picked up Naerys who was only three name days old and held her as she cried. She herself was very worried and was trying to remember anything about her sister that could help with the search.
Valaena picked herself up and moved around the dragon, he pushed his shoulder down giving her leverage to climb up and onto his back. Valaena whispered lightly in Valyrion for him to obey and her answer was only a huff of air. She leaned forward and held his scales having to saddle or chains to hold her to him. She whispered one singular word, fly. Vermithor obeyed and pushed off the ground making it shake and some trees fell over from the force as he took to the sky.
Valaena would trade having a dragon of her own for her son's life but it seems the gods were cruel to do the opposite and gave her her desire of a dragon only after her son's death.
Daemon's jaw slacked as he watched Vermithor land on a hill not far away, it was where the funeral of his son was to take place in a couple of hours. His eyes did not leave the figure atop the beast, her silver hair in a braid behind her back. He walked carefully over to the hill eyes not leaving the huge beast as he leaned his head down. Daemon kneeled down beside the beast showing his respect. The rest of the family joined the couple wide eyed and shocked, Aemond Targaryen however watched in hope that one day he himself would get a dragon of his own just like his older sister.
Valaena descended down from the great beast and over to her husband. She was not ashamed as tears ran down her eyes whens he caught a glimpse of her son's tiny corpse ready to be burned to ashes. She placed a hand on Daemon's cheek which he closed his eyes to enjoy. He rose up from his position and towered over her which she never was intimidated by and never will be.
"I am proud of you, wife" Daemond whispered for only her ears to hear. she gave him a watery smile. The two walked over to where their children stood beside Rhaenyra, their aunt and cousins. Valaena refused to meet anyone's gaze except those of her dragon.
"Dracarys" She said steadily knowing this has to be done. Vermithor wailed feeling his rider's pain before blowing his fire on the small corpse. Daemon held Valaena to his chest as they watched the fire eat their child away. Valaena will never forgive herself and neither will Daemon, as they stood their they each blamed themselves for the death of their baby boy. Neither wanted to admit it just yet but they both would blame themselves for the rest of eternity.
Valaena took Naerys from Rhaenyra and held her close feeling fear consume her for the rest of her children. Aelor and Jaenera hugged their parents around the waist as the family said their final goodbyes to their son/brother in silence.
