#oc: Onosa'i

are alpha-17 and onosai’i a thing? because in some q&a back in august 17 said that he thought that onosai’i was pretty/attractive/the kind. so i was wondering if it was unrequited or only attraction that doesn’t develop into a relationship.

(personally i really love both individually, and as a couple i feel like they’d have a great dynamic but i don’t know how well either of them would do in an actual relationship)

To answer: Yes!! Eventually!! He finds her attractive and honorable at first, but is terrible at showing it? So they bond more as coworkers/friends, also breaking and "fixing" Dred Priest's nose in that time! But she then also realizes she's attracted as well, and tries to hint at him?

Alas, the Empire strikes before anything can really start. That separates them for a time, with both taking the cadets they were with to escape shuttles, and using the storm to escape from the larger battleship (still so happy that all the rooms on Kamino we're empty cause AUGH that'd be a mess for my hyper-empathetic heart).

They DO reunite though, and get to be a very badass power couple 😤💕💖💕. True that them being a couple is v new for him? But with freedom and a lack of any power dynamic issues, it flows a little smoother. 👌💖

I've got plenty of good endings for my OCs cause I deal with trauma via Healing Arcs so 👌

Sigma Squad: escape Kamino with Onosa'i, Myna finally gets to have her Verd'goten and joins her clan, Angel and Juno join as well, while Black-eye, Blast, and Ny move to other work but coome home often. Black-eye becomes a hunter specialized in kidnapping rescues, Blast becomes a damn prolific painter with a bit of a cult following due to no one knowing his face, and Ny gets to go in to fully pursue their musical dreams (particularly with rebel aligned planets and in creating anti-imperial content)!!

Spider and Darrah: They manage an escape from the temple, and while it takes a while, they eventually get used to a life on a backwater planet! After staying with pirates for a bit, he's got good cooking and general labour/guard skills, so working at a local cantina (in the back so he's not spotted often) makes enough money that he's able to provide for his now finally fully-adooted daughter! He makes sure she goes to school, keeps her powers under wraps, and they get to enjoy a relatively calm life out there!

Tra': crashed on Mirial, and ended up staying!! Became a farmer with the people who saved him, and gets very sweet on @friedennic 's gal Quisa!! Eventually gets married and while he's got a host of injuries that flare up after the crash, he and the vode that remained in the village enjoy a very normal life with a new family. He even gets to be a dad and gets Mirialan tattoos!!

Of adopted canon characters since canon can Suck A Rock:

Thorn and Avi get out, after a Lot Of Trauma, and get to also enjoy a semi-quiet life eventually, with him as a sort of town deputy and Avi as a local healer!

Alpha-17 also gets out, having escaped with a batch or two of cadets and tubies the Empire had planned to leave behind. He eventually gets to reunite with Onosa'i, and show off his new-and-improved cane-blaster! (Also please Ignore the fact he's let these cadets call him dad he swears he's not a dad figure he says as he hugs one kid and tosses the hutt-ball for another.)

hello!! i wanted to ask 2, 22 and 27 for myna, she’s my favorite clone gal and i’m super interested in her character. technically she doesn’t have a mom but i thought if onosa’i was like a mom to her?

Sure!! I'm so honored?! 🥺🤲💖💕

2. Their mother? How do they think of her? What do they hate? Love? What influence—literal or imagined—did the mother have?

Myna thinks so SO highly of her adopted mother, her wonderful tiny buir!! She loves how brave and loud and steadfast she is, and how she stood her ground on protecting and training the troopers who needed it. Things to hate are few, but she struggles sometimes with how Onosa'i tends to spread herself thin across so many people, which means less and less time with her like before—also she snores and snores LOUD.

As for influence, Onosa'i helped Myna find herself safely, and provided her with a solid figure to inspire her and how she defines her femininity? On top of that, Onosa'i helped her get in touch with her Mandalorian heritage and culture! Also, Myna absorbed a lot of her music tastes—terrible taste, but it's her buir's.

22. Who are their friends? Lovers? Type or ideal partner?

Friends are few when you're moving around so often, but she's got a few!! Her squad is her family, but she's friends with a lower-level shopkeep on Coruscant who likes to talk shop about new tech. When she's got a new issue to solve for slicing, her friend is usually pretty happy to help, as they both enjoy the puzzle of it. There's also a few Corries she enjoys talking with on her leave, and then a baker and a little old twilek grandma who thinks she and Sigma are just the most "adorable kids".

As for lover/ideal partner, that's @singsofecho 's Corva!!! Fellow bird-lover Zabrak who's tall and buff and has, as they put it, golden retriever energy!! They're a really sweet couple and Myna is so happy to have someone so open in their love for her? She's hoping the war is over soon, with an added reason. 🥺

27. How do they relate to their appearance? How do they wear their clothing? Style? Quality?

Most of the the time Myna feels very neutral about herself? Everything is just armor/underarmor or undergarments for training. Uniform moments are times when she feels wildly uncomfortable, but luckily those are few and far between as a commando. Nights out used to be similar, but with help of her vode, she's now got a far better view of herself and enjoys getting to dress up and go out!!

She tends to wear looser clothing, as it's more comfortable than the usual compression of underarmor, with some sort of soft shoe like ballet flats? Style usually leans towards rustic, preppy, or more elegant fashion? Blouses and sweaters and skirts or soft jeggings? Quality is rarely very good, since Myna's a clone trooper with No Money, but she likes to make and trade and repair things. Hole in her sweater? Embroidered closed. Blouse is stained? Dyed away! Things like that!!

Also she's got some jewelry hidden away as contraband too, some earrings and a "baroque" pearl necklace! 💖

4. What are three of their irrational fears?

He has PLENTY of rational ones, but irrational?? Strangely only a few?? And that'd be the fears of: A. Losing Brii, not as in she's been taken, but straight up the kind of "losing" as in "losing your keys". B. Fear he's angered his vode and that they don't love him anymore?? ADHD is SO fun for Juno,,, And C. That he's gonna get bit by a spider-like creature while flying. He's fine with bugs in the ground but has SO much spray for in his pilot's seat. He heard one rumor and it locked onto his brain. 💀

15. Are they the type to adopt strays (animals or people)? What or who have they adopted over the years?

Not really actually!! He's got his squad and his own daughter to worry about? But he's still kind and okay if, say, Onosa'i adopts someone into their bunch?

18. How has their hair changed over time? What is their favorite hairstyle?

Very good question!! His current hairstyle is his favorite, of course, so faded sides with an orange-dyed top and a gold-dyed sun shaved in? HOWEVER, he's also had the standard cut/color for troopers, a buzzcut, a chop-off cut, and a RAINBOW of dye hues! His previous favorite was a bright teal on the left, and a bright magenta on the right?

22. What is something others admire about them? Are they aware that people admire them for this?

Ooh... I think it's probably his cheer/humor!! He sometimes?? Gets it?? But he usually doesn't really realize just how important his jokes and optimism is for the rest of the squad.

Bee: LOVES that storm blue-grey color? Reminds her of home and her favorite weather.

Avi: Pink and green of course! Comforting to her, + the color of her favorite gems/flowers.

Onosa'i: Orange, but also a clear ocean-blue from home?? Colorful and unique while she's stuck on Kamino.

Bu'ycyar: LOVE them? My clan has a thing for tablet weaving, so I'd love to make some!! I also love receiving them, even if they usually end up on my belt rather than on my wrist?

Tosaa: I... Suppose? I'm not super friendly, so I'm not sure why anyone would want to give me one, especially when I have to wear armor over it, but I wouldn't turn down a gift... (He'd love one this man is so lonely-)

OUGH. A BUNCH. I have plenty in archives, but of my OCs still in use: probably Onosa'i, Kar'tyc, and like,,,, all my SWTOR kiddos who I Need To Draw. (*Again strangles the fact I have to be a full-time student in order to get healthcare-*)

2. Do you have a personal favorite among your OCs?

I do!! Aside from my sonas for obvious reasons, I'm Very Attached to both Zirimir, Tra', and Ari'ajak!! I hug them tightly as apology for the trauma... 😔

Bu'ycyar: Folk music from home, but also neo-viking stuff, and rock!! (See Rusyn folk music, Danheim, and Alien Weaponry)

Avigeya: Pop!! But also the sorts of neo-folk, soft pop, and alt music? (See stuff like the song Strawberry Blonde, Hozier, Lord Huron, and the song Cloud 9!

Onosa'i: More a fan of anything powerful!! Hard to put my finger on it, but stuff like Alien Weaponry, Apashe, and Neoni?? But NGL she's also got a secret love for older stuff that might be called more "mom-rock" 😆💖

The long gist: This poor kid.... Lost his batchtwin in live fire training and just broke. Nearly killed a Kaminoan for it, and would have been decommissioned if not for the need to test the reconditioning equipment and their desire to prove they were in charge. Scorched his mind and the sides of his head pretty damn bad, to the point he doesn't remember his own batch anymore, though they know him.

It subsequently left him very empty, and conformist to the regs. He shaved his hair so not to risk being an inch too long for the books, and he didn't paint his armor for the first year or so of the war for similar fears. He tends to move very quietly, eerily, from place to place, focused only on proving himself, so not connecting to vode or learning to socialize again. He deals with a lot of fear, and subsequently, depersonalization disorder (this should be the right one, unfortunately my brain is funky too and I may have said derealization before 😅).

First year of the war, he was sent to work as the captain of Sigma Squad, under Onosa'i's new watch. Though, longer story short, he gets to heal, gets a support system, grows out his hair, gets some tattoos from a once-scorned Juno, and becomes an epic Ba'vodu to Brii!

What does my muse feel insecure about?

Captain Angel: their temple scars! His reconditioning was so early on, and so traumatic, that it left scars on both sides of their head, right on his temples? They're self conscious about them, both before and after his healing/binding journey, as it's evidence of both how they broke and were broken.

Juno: his inattention. It's something he can't help more often than not, but he still hates being reprimanded for not paying attention, or when someone does that "you're not listening" sigh. RSD is A Bitch...

Myna: She's so SO wonderful, but if pressed she admits that she's a little insecure about her considering herself Mando'ad. She's got the tattoos, the belief system, the training- Hell, she's even got Onosa'i agreeing to take her home after the war! But... Still she worries that she's not enough, that the people she'll one day be trying to join will turn her away because of where she came from. She worries sometimes if it's right for her to call herself a Mando, or if she should stick with "clone"...

Blast: He gets insecure sometimes about his paintings, despite loving them! It's such a vulnerable thing, and so much hard work, that when he's feeling particularly shy or bad about his skill, he refuses to let his squad see them. His vode's kind words about his art may be sweet, but they don't alleviate his insecurity that they're not good enough.

Ny'orar: Everything. So much. He's so so out there in how he presents himself but simultaneously despises showing who he really is? His fears, likes, his music, his body... Ny fears letting even his new vode know anything real about him, and it's taken forever for them to even show off their music skill. It's a process, but Onosa'i has been helping him out, particularly by not pushing, and leaving most of the questions for their vode to pose.

Black-eye: His anger issues. He really struggles with how angry he gets sometimes over things he knows from training that he shouldn't be getting so easily mad at. And yet. He's gotten better about his fighting issues, but it's taken a while, and a lot of trying new things to see what helps him cope the best. Having the protection and aid of his vode has been a big step for him in particular.
